My response is usually this "I am quite open to change, but it has to be the right change". I have seen too many changes in my working like which turned out to be a backward step. Usually instigated by a "new broom" wanting to make a mark!

Oh no  that sounds oppressive. I'd hate that!

Change is fabulous...if you're ready for it.  If you're ready for it, it's an easy transition.  If, it's been forced upon you...its like some one waking you up from a comfy snooze at 3am to say you have to go out and stand in the rain.

I would have been pretty opposed to change, but these past four months I've embraced the concept and it has been a huge positive thing.

My partner wants us to move house.  We talked about it for a few days before deciding we would move because he kept saying it would be the best thing to do.  I couldn't sleep for weeks after it and it was always on my mind.  The pros and cons of moving were constantly in my head until I got so stressed that I said no, we weren't moving.  He said ok.

Then because I wasn't being 'forced' to do it I felt a lot calmer and am now on the hunt for somewhere to move to.  I need sooooo much time to get used to change and don't like it being made for me.

Flippin eck, that's brilliant. Well done

Thanks guys.  I'm all committed and healthy and focused   So when you're ready for it change can be great.  Still a bit to go before I'mdone though.

Soozy that's fantastic.  I started in January with the jogging.  I wanted to get started so by the summer I would be fit and look like I know what I'm doing on the road.  So I picked a quiet little track up the mountains that I could push a buggy on.  I've now advanced to running on the road side where real people can see me!   Do you feel great?

Yes I suppose I do really. I can wear what I want and walk up hills etc. without getting breathless. I didn't think that I was 'unhealthy' before - jst a bit overweight but I do feel 100% better than I was. I think a lot of that is not drinking alcohol too TBH.

It's not quite as bad as it seems, but it's not all roses either. I've always found that most jobs have their downsides. If your pretty happy with your job and the salary, stick with it IMO.
