A lot of these are just shocking, some are just down right ridiculous.
There are fake ones and real ones, but they mostly look silly.
I admit that 10/20/30 years ago I used to lie on beaches abroad for a couple weeks to get the perfect tan, the darker the better. These days I use that tanning body lotion on my legs once the warm weather comes, and I stay out of the sun and sit in the shade(with a good book and G&T)

Being a pale celtic Scot I don't tan so i wouldn't even consider a sunbed or a hot country.I do like to lie in the sun at home(when it appears) that's to boost my Vit D levels more than anything.

Before I jet off to teach in South East Asia I am thinking of getting a really light spray on tan, just so i don't scare any of the locals on my arrival.
Rawky. They will love your pale western skin, I know because my son has friends in Japan who teach English, and the Japanese adore European, especially British skin.

I'm pale but do use fake tan when going on a night out. I'm also using sunbeds at the minute aswell coz I'm off to Turkey soon and don't want to freak out the locals with my death-tone skin when I strip off. Actually they might freak out just by me stripping off 
I use fake tan, the sun only has to look at me and i get heat stroke i hate being pale and blonde
