Thought I'd share

I've got one of those gizmos that you put in the water (hot or cold) at the same time as the eggs.  It tells you whether they're soft, medium or hard.

Fool proof; even I get it right every time

See! I don't need a gizmo like that.......now

Yes, but you're not busy smoking faaaags and swiggin' Bolly

my daughter uses one of those, I never think of getting it out. She's much like you... too busy smoking and boozing to be arsed clock watching

Apparently the North crunch their Polos and the South suck them. Have to confess I am a sucker ..........even after living in the North for years I never crunch.

Any truth in this?

Much as I loathe to put this in print.... I am a sucker from the south.

I can't find a nice way to say this

I suck.

As for eggs.. extra large, boiled for 3.5 mins (timed on my phone) yolk all soft and no 'snot' white - with white toast soldiers.  yummy.

Fried... preferably with frilly edges and soft yolk, on top of a couple of rashers of bacon in a roll with tomato sauce.   yummy

scrambled, slightly wet.

After lots of instruction from a fellow FM and egg addict I can now poach (eggs), but I prefer boiled.

Ohhh Eggs!!  I love em, I do!!

But not at the minute, the thought of them makes me sick.  BUT....when I do eat them I love soft boiled for soldiers, wet scrambled for scrambles and toast, drier scrambled for scrambled on a toasted bagel (heaven), fried with runny yolk and crispy edges, hard boiled beat up in a cup with butter for on top of toast, hard boiled in salads or for egg mayo and I don't know how to poach eggs or I'd probably do those too!
