In a deep, booming voice, you have to yell: "AVATAR GO CHANGE NOW". Then click your heels 3 times, spin around, anti-clockwise and then air-hump 7 times.

I'm not doing that!

Make sure the picture is saved onto your computer (in your documents for example).....then click on "manage" at the top of the page. Go to update profile......scroll down and you will see your current av. Click on the edit button next to it... click upload file.... choose your pic... and once it's loaded don't forget to click on the "update profile!" button (down a bit and to the right)

....I forgot to add that you must also film yourself, post the video on here and then you will be able to change you're avatar

I don't think sites really matter Aims, just image Google for your pic 

Try this site Aims if you want sparkly. There's some nice small ones on there  I'm halfway looking through it

Stupid question ,but how do I save picture.

Right click the picture then go to Save Picture As.

Glad the bug on here regarding pictures has now been fixed for us on IE, half of the smileys are still missing though.

If anyone has a image that is too big on Google but they want it for their avatar on here then this website helps resize it down, you have to save the picture to your computer or laptop first.

I have saved a rose from Yahoo images(Google images seems to crash Firefox every time I use it for some reason!), but after I click 'upload file' and open the image, it gets stuck on "status: uploading...."

I deleted my old avatar from my profile, but can't seem to re-upload that either......not sure why it gets stuck on uploading. Might have to sleep on it and come back tomorrow, if I can tear myself away from Wimbledon

 Katerina .....perhaps it's the size of the image   can you post it in here? and we can make it smaller for you if that's the case

I have just tried to upload it via the posting form, but it gets stuck on uploading too. It's 48x48, I chose a small one. Hmmmm not sure why it's getting stuck, I can't get my original cat avatar GIF up again either, weird.

Argh rubbish, I still can't upload and I don't know why. My original avatar doesn't even upload anymore and it's the same one that I uploaded before!

I click on 'add a picture', then choose 'upload file', choose the pic and the window stays there saying 'status: uploading...'

I am still trying to upload an avatar with the same problem......it gets stuck on status:uploading and doesn't move.

I can crop, resize etc but nothing makes a difference. I'm running Firefox.

The GIF I am attempting to upload is width 40, height 40, and size 7.6 KB.

I don't understand why my images won't upload to gaga. If anyone has any ideas I'd be grateful.

Am updating my version of Flash Player to see if that makes a difference.

Katerina, I think this may be your old avatar.

Maybe if you send Lori a PM and copy that picture into the PM, she may be able to get it uploaded into your avatar.

When i changed my avatar to a flower for brisket, i lost my old one. I went to Livecloud, got it there, saved it to my computer and got it from there. before doing that Katerina, i had the same problem. Hope that makes sense to you
