Well I went into the kitchen yesterday and the bin was empty

Unfortunately I don't think it was the tramp Frowner our other flatmates have been lax on housework recently (but i could forgive them as they are architects and had an important crit last week, so were on the all nighters) but now they are free one of them has been cleaning non stop- in fact I can hear her hoovering now haha

I'm still on strike though Thumbs Up

Also she is leaving the heating on when it does not need to be on, and I have mentioned to her we are down to our last toilet roll and could she get some seeing as I got the last lot. Mad

Just get her told. The longer you leave it the worse it will get and the angrier you will get Nod
Liverpoollass
just collect up all the dirty pots she's left and stick them in her room, if she asks why just tell her that whilst its obvious that she doesnt mind them you dont want to be looking at them.

if she doesnt take the bins out when its her turn then put that on her bed, again, if she didnt want to get rid of it its fair to assume she wanted to keep it Wink

sensible head on...
just have a house meeting (with beers) get a rota started for cleaning, including washing own pans, and a 'kitty' for shared things like loo roll etc. failing that.. fight! Smiler

The only problem that comes with a cleaning rota is that sometimes the people that clean already clean and those who dont dont. Same with the kitty- We have a pot which you are supposed to put ÂĢ10 a week into for gas and electricity and house stuff. I'm currently up to date as is the landlady, but the other two are seriously behind (mainly because they didn't put the ÂĢ40 in for over the hols so they started this semester in minus figures

Nod Still under the impression that there is a magic fairy that picks up dirty washing, washes pots, changes bedding.

Two of us changed our bedding yesterday and the tramp came in while we were sorting out the washing machine...she then came out with "Oh I'd love to wash my bedding but I don't have a spare set and it'll take too long to dry" What kind of person doesn't have spare bedding Eeker that means she goes 10-12 weeks at a time without changing her bed sheets Sick

Strangely enough she had a flat by herself before she moved in with us, I just could never treat a shared residence the way my flatmates do, the other flatmate bugs me as well, his room heaves when you go past it, I've only ever seen him wash his bed sheets once, yuck!. I better stop, I'm winding myself up now. Mad

Beat her over the head with a saucepan..Then politely say.."Please wash your pots and pans up after using them. Thank you"..Thumbs Up

after a while you just snap Ninja

Heh heh heh!

I've done all the cleaning in this house for the last 15 years and the only time I've snapped is when others have tried to muscle in on my act.

They do it wrong Ninja

I agree 17 is very young to be trying to cope on your own. Makes you wonder is there family problems in the background.
