As the names were changed by deed poll, they will have to be called that on the outside as well including on their bank statements and other such things. Big Grin

Only visited to look at the HM pics to remind me of the names as I wanted to put something in the LUT. I have made very few LUTS so far so needed to get the names from somewhere till I get back into it.

It won't be a legally binding document that they signed though - like the marriage certificates from last year's 'wedding'.

Imagine, though, if they did have to change their names back to their proper names - when they filled in forms which ask "Have you been known by any other name?" and they'd have to answer 'Halfwit' and 'Dogface' !!!! Laugh

It's a trivial thing, a change of name deed poll, you know. Just a bit of paper really: A couple of minutes with just you, a notary, and an oath. There doesn't need to be any copies lodged anywhere special like with a birth certificate.

I suppose if they don't send the deed off anywhere then it's easily revocable and they could realistically say they haven't been known (in any meaningful sense) by any other name. I mean, you don't have to declare your nicknames.
