Of course it's a load of old rubbish, Marg. But it's just soooooooo OTT and camp - especially the Eastern Bloc countries' performances. Compulsive eye-popping viewing Eeker Laugh

My darling Mam, bless her, used to love Eurovision. I even remember her buying a big ballad winner from Luxemburg back in the 80s ("Si La Vie Est Cadeau") - she had the thing playing at full blast for the rest of the year Disappointed
I am the same deegs Volara and lots of the Italian records I love like Lazy Mary is one of them I play them full blast lol it is compulsive viewing its so bad its good if you know what I mean lol Big Grin Hug

Volare was a classic, Marg.

Just checked on YouTube.....my Mam's all-time favourite is still on there. Have a listen when you have time, and you'll understand why I was practically deaf throughout most of 1983! Crazy Laugh
I have just listened to it deegs and I can see why your mum loved it Clapping Hug

They had immigrant musicians singing some of our old entries, LL.

It was actually quite interesting to see them interpreted so differently. An Iranian band, who sang Congratulations by the Cliff, won it. Big Grin

I bet it was Nod I bet it was funny too Glance Big Grin

None of the above, I’ll be watching something (anything!) else.

I may watch the results bit at the end to see the Brits get f*ck all. It’s worth a wry snigger to see the Brits pay for the pleasure of their European neighbours demonstrating how much they dislike them Big Grin

I only watched it to hear him become more drunk and racist as the night went on.

Only used to watch Eurovision to see what Terry would have to say about each country.

I agree it won't be the same without him Frowner

I'm not that keen on Graham Norton.
FM
I'll be watching, surrounded by choccie and alcohol...weeping cos I'll be missing Terry, my Eurovision drinking buddy! Graham has no hope of being as brilliant as Terry...I may watch it with the sound off and radio2 on so I can hear the songs, see the mad people and listen to Ken Bruce and his opinions instead of Graham....

now I've confused myself!!!!
