Just get it maz if it makes your life easier.
Maybe she'll lighten up on other things as the months pass.

gone are the days when a photograph negative did the trick . . .
We are all still paying for those negatives.
Maz, any chance that you could cut your losses and move out? I can't bear tightness and as far as I'm concerned anyone that wouldn't throw 25 quid your way towards a dryer is bad news. Sorry if this isn't constructive but I can only tell you what I feel.
Blimey I wouldn't pay ÂĢ25 for summat I didn't want or wasn't going to use... dont think i'm bad news though

I was thinking that too - I'd actually love the use of a tumble dryer for ÂĢ25, but if someone wanted me to pay ÂĢ25 coz they wanted to buy, say, a food processor, there is no way that I would.
If you want to tumbledry your clothes, just get it and don't be mean spirited if she uses it. You share the electricity I hope and you can take the thing with you when you leave. Life's too short to worry about these things.

Now a food processor, that I would use! Reference:

We'd be a perfect house share then - I could do the washing and you could do the cooking
This is why Rabbits shouldn't be shared.

SazBomb and Rexi, Well I guess that just proves how different we all are..it would set my alarm bells ringing bit styleee. But different strokes for different folks as they say and I can only go on what my experiences were. No offence intented to either of you.
Whos gonna buy the lawnmower, whos gonna be the one that uses it, what happens when the other one sunbathes on the grass?

I agree about house/flat shares being bad news. Well, they were for me. Apart from the tv licence incident I mentioned earlier, my ex-flat mate insisted on splitting everything strictly 50/50. So if I fancied a bit of cheese for supper, I couldn't, because she wasn't having any.
Eventually, we decided to buy our own food, which was better. However, when she went away for a week, she removed all her food from the fridge and threw it into the bin rather than leave it for me to eat whilst she was away. I still remember all these petty details 20 years on. I've never met anyone so mean since, thank goodness!
