I'm getting an ultrasound scan on my dodgy shoulder this evening. And I thought they only did those on pregmunt tums!
Considering I've had a numb hand since about May, I think it's time they got to the cause of it.

Still waiting for an appointment for another test my consultant wants though. It's called a Nerve Conductor Test and involves electric shocks! Anybody ever had one of these?

Thanks, peeps (although I'm starting to wish I hadn't looked at that info site, El Loro ). Ultrasound was routine although I won't know the results until I see my consultant. And I'm not due to see him again until I've had the nerve conductor thingy, which there's a waiting list for.

Good luck to everyone else having medical stuff done

Hi Denmatoid I am not going to deny it makes you jump as they do it when you are not expecting it,I got it done on my feet legs hands and arms what they do is put like pegs on were they are testing then they send electric pulses to the nerve endings, the longer it takes for the nerve to react they send a higher dosage which tells them the damage that is done, obviously the higher the dosage tells them how extensive the damage is, I am the biggest coward going but it is not as bad as it sounds good luck
