Ooh I grew up near Longleat so I spent some very happy times there. I used to go to the nightclub they had in the grounds nearly every week.  Salisbury is lovely too.

 

We've already had our holiday. Just a staycation but with long weekend in Northumberland followed by a long weekend at my dad's in Somerset. When are you going Renton?

We are going in August - just received the tickets for Windsor Castle - looks amazing!!

Oh you lucky thing, I love Northumberland, it's so beautiful.

 

You'll have a great time. I haven't been to Windsor since the 80's but I'm sure it won't have changed much.

Renton I hate you today!  I got up this morning to a miserable pissy day and stomped round the house cursing myself for not having booked a holiday this year.  Then I thought oh well, I'll make a cuppa and go online.  Only I have no milk so no cuppa and the first thing I see on gaga is this   I want to go somewhere niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice

We haven't booked anything but we will be poised and passport ready for a last minute booking come July. I really fancy Italy this year, but we'll see. Disneyland Paris has also been mentioned

LONDON HOTEL for 8quid - we thought that was mega - until . . .

Hahaha thanks but I think I will stick to the run down caravan at the beach that is the back up plan if we don't manage to get away.  That's if we even get a few dry days that are feasible.

I don't think I've been to Hexham, We were up near Alnwick this time. There's a fabulous beach at Newton where we took the dogs for a few hours every morning. No kidding, Daphne has been a different dog since we took her on holiday up there. She's not nearly as nervous now.

We haven't had a holiday for 5 bleedin years!!!

 

I am trying to save up so that we can hire a boat on the norfolk broads in late September..  we've done it before that time of year & if the weather is kind its fab, cos its not as busy.   

 

And the dog can come.

Boats are pricey... I know a nice place in Cornwall right on the beach you can take dogs. Meantime I am trying to convince the husband that he does want to go to Australia next February (not with me though, j don't want to go).

We're going to Spokane next month for a wedding.

 

Oh, well, I DID get to go to Turkey a few months ago, so I should be OK.

 

I love Italy, and need desperately to go back. Went a few years ago with my choir, so it was a bit of a rushed trip, and only 2 weeks....

We went to Longleat for the day a couple of years ago, it was fab.  Flew to Bristol from Newcastle early morning, hire car to Longleat, last flight back to Newcastle to sleep in own bed, and absolutely brilliant day.

 

This year we are holidaying in Cyprus, just Mr Cinds & I, leaving the Cindlet with my parents, cannot wait.  (Just so you don't think we're too cruel, we're taking him away in October, still to be booked)

I'm off to the Costa del Sol on 3rd July for 2 weeks - hope the weather there is a vast improvement on this miserable excuse for a summer!
