I have just come back from a holiday in Holland and feel really anxious and somewhat nervous about my colleagues asking me about it when I return to work on Monday. Is it normal to be feeling like this or a bit strange?

I don't think so Shiz, Sheryl18 has just replied to an old thread re her having probs with someone at work, tbh I'd forgotten about that as I guess others had too. So, sorry Sheryl
Miss kaytee and her friend have some very tasteful(not) pics of their visit to the Sex Museum

If they're trying to take the piss look around for another job
Doesn't sound normal.

Sheryl forgive my previous post's attempt at humour, your other thread reminded me about your problematic work situation. Anything that causes this much anxiety has to be dealt with head on - or left far behind. Velvet donkey is right, it doesn't sound normal and it might be time to look for another job.
Thanks for the hug Suzybean.
Velvety Donkey and Triggers my work colleagues on the whole (bar one or two) are very friendly and welcoming. I think it is me who has the problem not them. As Lee said in another thread, I need to deal with insecurities head on by seeking help, or they are only going to get worse. I feel like a walking paranoid, insecure freak at the moment. It's really ruining my life

Oh and by the way, on a lighter note, we did walk past a few 'Coffee shops' but didn't go inside though. From the whiff we got as we went pass, we assumed that 'Coffee' wasn't the only thing they were selling
Confidence is the key, Sheryl.
Trouble is, when you don't have it, you don't ever feel like you can get it back. It's hard. If you feel like you can go to the doctor and see a counsellor, it might do you some good.
Sharing your holiday stories with the others might give you a bit of a lift.....when you think about it, your colleagues are asking because they're interested and care that you had a good time.

Yeah Sheryl, how about you tell us all about your hol as a practice run?
Well my lovely boyfriend and I went to Delft, which is a very pretty, historic cultured market town in the South of Holland with great architecture. We sailed there and back which was an experience in itself, as it was my first time on a ferry. The artist Vermeer is the one of the most famous figures to come out of Delft, so we spent most of our first day paying homage to him, i.e. visting galleries and museums containing his original work, locations were he was born, grew up and may have got the inspiration for some of his paintings. We spent most of the second day pottering around, exploring Delft, shopping etc. The weather on the whole was warm and pleasant.
You see I am worried that the above sounds really boring, because I don't have any funny stories, anecdotes to tell.
And no I did not have any 'spesshul cake' Super

I wouldn't worry, if you don't want to tell them owt just say you had lovely time and enjoyed the break... I tend not to go into detail
yeah dont worry me and my mate went to jamaica and we like to party but over there we turned in to the biggest bores
we told people we were partying from dusk till dawn and had a chuckle about it after cause in reality we'd be in bed for 10 oclock
