Hopefully (as we said at the beginning of this) they may restart the PurePoints scheme and we can get our hands on the point gained so far. In my case it's nearly £20, so that would be a nice bonus I never thought I would see.

HMV sent me an email yesterday, saying that they will soon be up and running...or that I should "watch this space" and that they will keep me and all their ex customers up to date.

Here was my email...

Been in and picked up the three Bourne films for £12.99 on blu-ray. Not bad at £4 a film.

I was in there the other day and the assistant confirmed that they are safe and out of administration.

My store has been restocking a lot of catalogue titles and many at £5.99, now that is not bad. It feels like nothing had happened. Loads and loads of choice and decent prices to boot.

I keep getting e-mails.........I've unsubscribed to them and they go to my spam box now.  Eventually to go to oblivion

Can you still use gift tokens - if you can find an open one.  the one nearest me closed and it would mean a trip to Glasgow, where I rarely go into - so didn't use them. 

I have reactivated my old account and hopefully they will credit my old points to my new one as promised.

I have been collecting new points and they are updating them.

Yes they did close a lot of stores, but managed to come out of administration trading through their troubles.

I have to say, my two stores in Sheffield are better than before the troubles. Their range is larger (CD's) and the prices are better. They have also dedicated a very large area to vinyl LP's and singles !!!

I love browsing and go in at least once a day. I purchase quite a lot too. With the prices being so close to online in some cases I don't paying an extra pound to have the item there and then.

There never really was much I wanted though.  And I don't think I've got enough points left to warrant faffing about trying to change them into vouchers.

We have two stores (both on the tram route) One at Meadowhell and the other on the High Street.

How do you get two stores when I haven't got any. They closed it so now I've got none 

One is on the High Street, but the other is in a mall which has a hell of a lot of visitors each year so I guess they considered it worth keeping. Also Meadowhall is a very short drive from Rotherham and near the motorway so people from Doncaster and Chesterfield are not too far away, so again I think they must have thought the catchment area was large enough to warrant keeping open.

Sorry you lost yours Sprout, I do feel for you. 

I have the Newcastle one, but I'm not up there every week.That's a once every three month thing (if that!) I used to use ours more than that. They've shot theirself in the foot TBH and that's why I choose not to have any more to do with them. They clearly aren't thinking of the customer.....again 

Having said that, they were expensive and I wouldn't/didn't pay more than full price for anything
