I'm not deliberately making excises for him but - the only deaf peiple that I know personally (a friends parents) do have sort of gaps (hard to explain) in their social interactions.

 

The son (my friend) is a really great guy but he has told me that as he was growing up he was 'different' and there was stuff he didn't fully 'get'.

I think people have made a lot of allowances for him over the years and he has been allowed to get away with things such are rudeness and crudeness. I think his immaturity is down to spoilt brat syndrome. 

I agree with Yogi - I might accept that he misses some things in group conversation, but I see no relation between not hearing, with being a bit of a sleazy, sexist creep

if he has hearing Aids which he does - he will hear most if not all - he can also lip read - BB would have to have signers if he genuinely couldn't hear or the BDS would be on their backs
