Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Chilly , and overcast this morning , but the sun comes out every now and then . A fair night , so I went for a long walk first thing . I’ve done two loads of washing , the duvet shuffle , hoovered and fed wildlife ….so quite a productive day so far .I hope everyone else is enjoying their Saturday , whatever you are up to.

Mollie , I enjoyed GB and Bargain Brits yesterday .But I hope we get to see more of Ant next week .We used to like going to the harvester too ….decent food and reasonably priced …which of course appealed to my Yorkshire born husband .Im glad you managed to get Dolly into the groomers …even if it Have is a bit later . My new cc came yesterday , so I’ve booked my Xmas slot …on the same day as you .Hicky, that’s another long Ocado list .My order came today , but it’s about a quarter of yours. I agree with Mollie, why not just book your Xmas slot and order …you can always cancel it if you don’t need it.

Well it’s Strictly for me tonight , but it’s a very early start , so we won’t be signing in at the start .I hope you both have a good evening , and take care of yourselves .

Baz

Good afternoon, Mollie & Baz.

Oh dear, didn't realise the page had moved on to 720.

I booked a slot, then it said you have 60 minutes to check out with a £90 order, so i cancelled it, just cant be bothered making an order out when i have no idea what i'll want and they will be harrassing me for the next 3 months.

Enjoyed Strictly & the Voice & bargain loving brits, but i am still catching up on recordings.

I was looking for some sausages on the Ocado page, i typed in Pork sausages and go 102 options that came up, wow, it took a while looking thought, to find out how big the sausage was i divided the weight by how many was in the pack, such a vast difference, i'm going to try the 400g ones, an M&S pack of 4, so at 100g each, that is a nice sausage, most are either 33g or 66g when i was checking.

And the hot dog sausages i got go well with the hot dog buns, so nice, with mustard and tomato ketchup that is really super.

I had a couple of duck eggs, wow, the difference in the colour of the yoke, it was bright orange i think, with it being quite big i could see the colour, ever since my eyes have decided to let me see colour, as long as It's not too small, like a pencil line, but i couldn't open the egg, i hit it in the middle with a knife but ut still wouldn't open, so i pressed the knife well in then i was able to open it, the shell is nothing like the hens eggs you could open them with your nails probably as the shell is so thin, It's what they feed them on that makes the shell.

Hope Mollie has had a good Sunday

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  It’s rained all day here ! So no walk , the furthest I’ve been is to feed wildlife , put bin out ready for collection tomorrow , and I popped to the shop up the top of the road ….and I got soaked each time !Aside from that I’ve dusted , cleaned kitchen and done a load of washing . …so a very lazy day chez Baz .I hope it’s drier and a more productive day where you are l

Mollie , I hope your day is going well . I’m looking forward to our month in the posh villa ….Dame is soooo generous , eh. I’m looking forward to another week on the Costas…but hope we get some Ant time  .Hicky , I enjoyed Strictly , but didn’t agree with who went ! The person who stayed did nothing but jump about all over the place ! I’ve never had a duck egg , but I guessed they would be quite big. I like hot dogs too .

Well it’s a crime and renovation viewing night today , but next week it will be BB .I hope you both have a good evening . Take care.

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

It's rained all day here as well, i wouldn't go out in the rain, i ordered my meds using the MyGP app and my wheelie gets put out Wednesday.

Yes a shame who left strictly, but the public voted didn't they, nothing goes well when the public choose, although the judges decide, but that's just to give them something to do really.

I noticed with the duck eggs that the yolk seeded bigger than a hen yolk, unless that is just because the yolk stands out so much more against the white.

When i went online to see what tax i owe for 2023/4 it said it hadn't worked it out yet, which is strange as they know my pensions anyway.

I tried lining my large cast iron fry pan with the dual foil/parchment, i just cut a circle bigger than the pan to give a lip all round, and by brushing a little oil in the pan 1st then a little oil on the parchment when i press it down in the pan, it works fantastic and saves so much washing of the pan.

I've been trying the Goats milk, pity it only has a short life unless you freeze it, and once opened you only get a couple of days, so i might just get 1L of that and more Alpro Oat as it has until May 2025 as best before date.

The apple turnovers and Chocolate Eclairs were rather yummy, i've yet to try the Paella, but will try them this week, i need to ceck what i get before the 2 weeks is up to complete my next order.

Hope Mollie had a good day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Dry here …at last ! Not a bad night , so I managed a walk this morning .  I am due to have my Covid and flu jabs tomorrow morning , so I’ve been trying to get the housework up to date. I’ve  done a load of washing , hoovered , cleaned kitchen, fed wildlife and emptied bins . My gardener finally came and mowed the lawns , so garden looks tidy again .I hope everyone else is enjoying their Wednesday .

Mollie , that blonde Irish girl on MAFS is driving me mad ….as is that arrogant Caspar guy !It was nice to see Colin yesterday , but I really am missing our Ant .I hope yours and Dollys  day is going well though.Hicky , I always order my meds via my docs website to…and then it gets delivered by a local chemist .Ive never tried goats milk….tbh I’m not a milk person ….i only ever have a splash of it in my tea .But I do like goats cheese .

Well it’s Kent , and MAFS live for us tonight ….not sure how we are going to fit everything in once BB starts on Sunday though .Have a good evening both , and take care.

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Glad your night and walk was ok Baz, i get my Jabs Monday, hope there are not many side effects.

I had the Paella tonight, the Birds Eye one, it was very tasty so will go in my favourites.

The goats milk is fine, but time restrictions are not to my liking when the Alpro drink is good till May 2025, i will try the goats cheese as i'm weaning off dairy.

Hope Mollie had a good day, i'm just having an Ocado hot cross bun, they freeze well, and so handy to have in.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Sunny but chilly here today . Not a bad night , but my arms are both still a bit sore , and the jabs seem to have kicked off my stomach  problems again , so I had a rude awakening! I didn’t really feel up for my usual walk this morning , but I had to post a birthday card , so got some fresh air . Aside from that , I’ve changed sheets and pillow cases , hoovered, done two loads of washing , and fed the wildlife ….so not a totally wasted day . I hope everyone else’s Friday is going better than mine !

Mollie , I enjoyed MAFS last night , but not keen on the new bride ….and as for that horrible mother , my tv screen was in serious danger …..what a truly dreadful woman !I hope your day is going well , and that you can join us for GB at 9 .Wonder what todays bunch of Costa wallies will be like at teatime .Hicky , I hope your jabs go ok on Monday . …apart from the tummy problem I’ve not really had any adverse reactions ….although Ros had hers yesterday and felt a bit ropey .🤞🏻

Well it’s Gogglebox and First Dates for us tonight …so a nice trashy tv night ….and only 2 days to the BB launch .I hope you both have a good evening . ..and look after yourselves .

Baz

Good evening Mollie & Baz,

Hope your arms soo recover Baz and no side effects show up, i wonder why it affects your tummy.

I got my wash load done and dried, also put away, then did the dishwasher load and put that away, i usually do it Sunday but No#3 son coming in the morning to do some cleaning, then early evening No#5 son & his son as they are going to watch Everton at home, then coming here for the night, the match starts at 5:30 so he won't be here till about 8pm, we will probably go out Sunday morning for food etc.

I tried the Ocado Bens Biryani to night, i enjoyed it, a nice amount of spices which was fine, and you get the onion, veg etc and par-cooked long grain rice and 250g is enough, i added a small onion and the rest of the tine of peas and baby whole cooked carrots.

Yesterday i had one of the hot dog rolls with a load of the bacon in, wow, that was amazing and at £1.15 for 6 sliced ones which are freezable they are so convenient.

Hope Mollie had a good Friday.

Hicky

both

Baz

well it was another good week down the Costas, but I do miss our old faves from there...even Ding Dong Val

Glad I can watch MAFS again now that pair are gone. Yes that mother was very rude to that lad and he is a nice lad.

Sorry your tum is playing up post jab, hope it settles soon.

Hicky

thanks for your Ocado list. I always enjoy reading it for ideas. You do try a good variety of different things.

Think I will try the apple turnovers.

This is my fave Goats Milk.

Delamere Dairy Fresh Whole Goats Milk Fresh

I too like goats cheese, I find you don't need much as it is quite strong. Love it on pizza. Hope you find the Goats food suits you better. The delvery driver told me the goats butter is nice too, ,but I love that French one we get now.

Would you buy the duck eggs again? Or were you put off as they were difficult to open?

Will tell MrM you liked the paella. Think he will like it.

Hope your jabs go ok on Monday. Which ones are they for?

Been busy as usual endless washing, shopping, cleaning, and playing with a pup full of energy (and trying to rest my sore knee inbetween).

That damn annoying cough lasted 4 weeks for me, MrM and son and its only just gone. Yet it wasn't a bad cold. Most odd.

Had lots of paperwork all week, will text you both why. Finished at last now.

Went to seaside today , had nice stroll, resisted chips on seafront as it was a bit breezy. Son took pup a run on beach, so that tired her out. She loves to run around.

Have a good evening both xxx

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Had one lad here this morning cleaning up, wow he is good, hoovers up, steam washes floors, then dries with a buffer thingy, then does the bathroom and kitchen after doing all floors.

Then pther son came with his son to sort their bed out etc before going to the patch in Liverpool.

The Goats milk is fine but cant see that its better than Alpro really, and Alpro gives you about 6 months to store it,

Yes, i am going to get the duck eggs until i find a reason not too, the fact that they are hard to open is only a small problem. if they keep longer that will be a bonus, they keep a long time before they hatch as the ducks fill the nest over a couple of weeks then when she has enough, say 1 dozen she sits on them and that sets them all off together, then they all hatch together, i didnt know that, but thats what happened with my lads ducks in the Philippines, amazing.

Yes, the M&S Paella is the one, £5.50 i think, very nice.

Glad you cough has gone Mollie, so annoying those are.

Hope Baz had a good night and day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  I’m having a really crap day …emotionally , not physically ….couldn’t even drag myself out for a walk ….although I did manage to pop up the local shop . Consequently, I’ve not done very much , just some washing , and fed the wildlife. So a very lazy day chez Baz . I hope everyone else is having a better Sunday than me .

Mollie , yes, we need a few of our favourites on Bargain Brits But I still enjoy our teatime club .Glad your cough has finally cleared up .I hope Dolly is behaving herself .Hicky, send your sons around here …I could do with some housework doing .i hope your jabs go ok tomorrow .

Well it’s the BB launch tonight ….and the Strictly results ….so not a bad nights viewing .Enjoy your evening both , and take care .

Baz

Geed afternoon, Mollie & Baz.

Sorry to hear your having a bad day Baz,

I've had the letter from taxman, gpt till jan to pay, but i keep 1 account to accumulate money to pay the bill each year, fancy charging pensioners 20% tax on their pension, a disgrace.

I went out with my lad for brekkie, and his son as well, very nice, i gave him some moisture probe meters for his Mrs, and also a big box of bags of spices which i had, its no longer any good to me, they might as well see if they can use them, its a big plastic storage box with a lid that you can click lock on, about 2 to 3 cubic feet capacity.

We had a look around the garden, got lots of bunches of grapes, will get a couple off tomorrow.

I will record BB so i can maintain control over breaks etc.

Hope Mollie has is having a good day.

Hicky

How did your injections go today? Which ones were they? Hope you feel ok after them.

That is good your son came to do your cleaning. Sounds like he did a great job.

Yes as the goats milk is fresh milk, it doesn't have a long use by date. The French salted butter is on offer again this week, so I have stocked up on it. I have ordered these Goats cheese and onion cheesecakes, I haven't seen them before....

M&S Gastropub Goats Cheese & Caramelised Onion Cheesecake Starter

It was interesting how you could watch your son's ducks in the Philippines. Do you still hope to go visit them in December?

Yes it seems very unfair how they tax a pension and our pensions are the worst in Europe, I heard. And its a disgrace how they are stopping pensioners a winter fuel allowance, just at the same time they have just put fuel up by 10%! And they keep putting the retirement age up. Can't believe how women used to retire at 60 and it was 65 for men (unfair) but now its 67 now for men and women. Will be 70 before soon.

Thats good you went for brekkie with your son. Where did you go? Did you have a cooked brekkie?

I went for brekkie yesterday too. Went with my friend and her grandchildren and the other grandma. The littlies were so good and we were there about 2 hours. (its a help yourself continental and then a served cooked breakfast) . The kiddlies love the pastries there. But after that it was time to put the 20 month old in her car seat!   Screaming and tantrum time as she was so tired. Took 3 of us to force her in her car seat in the end, as she has to go in, by law. Even the choccie bribe didn't work. But my friend said she went straight to sleep as soon as she drove off. The 4 year old was fine, I took him to the pet shop and The Range to see the Christmas decs after, as they are lovely in there.

Did you get some grapes in from the garden? I bet they are delicious.

Baz

sorry you felt off yesterday. . Hope you feel a bit brighter today. Did you manage your walk today? Hope so.

Enjoyed the BB launch. Hope they keep the interesting tasks coming. If they do, it will be a good series. The presenters said it was for 6 weeks. Was it only 3 weeks last year?

Summer was back today. Out with the summer dress and in the garden with pup for a quick sunbathe and lots of washing dried on the line, which was great. Its been raining a bit now its got dark though.

Am going to the carvary with my friend tomorrow (the one who gave us Dolly), so Dolly is in for a treat. She remembers my friend from bringing her up as a baby, so gets so excited, as my friend comes back to our house after lunch.

Have a good evening both xxx

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Injections went ok, got a taxi, and he waited for me, i was done almost straight away and was back home before the real appointment time which was good, i had the Flu & Covid one, will have to see if i get any side effects, not today so far.

I'll just get 1 goats milk as i like it, i could freeze it but then i'd have to wait for it to thaw out.

I'll look at the French butter, i have 1 in the fridge, the one i am using i keep on the worktop so it doesn't go too hard, i'm ordering some goats cheese to try that.

We went to the Greaves Dunning in Greasby as i used to go there with MrsH so i knew they did Sunday Brekkie & Roasts if needed.

I didn't get the grapes, will get some tomorrow if the weather is nice, they looked lovely and plump anyway, the birds had been at some i think but there's plenty i imagine.

Hope Baz had a good night and day.

Hicky

I forgot to say, i was on the phone to the water company United Utilities for 1 hour as they sent me my water costs and said the bill was going up from £45 or so a quarter to £128, i rang to say they have it all wrong, i don't have 2 people in the house, and they had been estimating usage because they said they couldnt take the broken cover off the meter site and the computer had messed up the figures, it worked out i was so much ahead with credit and my usage meant that i only need to pay £31 a quarter, it was read on the 30th September, they said the meter reader hadn't reported a problem reading it, i have taken a picture of the broken cover and will send it to them tomorrow by email, i had only used 12 cubic metres in a year, crazy, i was passed from department to department, most of them the wrong ones.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Rained all night , then sun came out mid morning ….so I grabbed a walk…..and popped to the local shop ….but it’s clouded over again now , Apart from that I’ve done two loads of washing , changed sheet and pillowcases , dusted , fed wildlife , and rescued bins . I didn’t have a bad night , until the bin men woke me up at 6.45 . I hope everyone else is enjoying their Tuesday .

Mollie , I hope you had a nice carvery meal today .I am enjoying BB ….some interesting characters …and some annoying ones .So far the tasks seem ok too .Im looking forward to seeing  JoJo at teatime too. Hicky , glad the jabs went ok ….hope you’ve had no side effects . But the water board sounds a total nightmare .I hope you can sort it out soon .

Well it’s Bake Off , BB , and MAFS for me tonight . ..so easy viewing .Have a good one and look after yourselves .

Baz

Good evening, Mollie & Baz.

Glad your night was ok Baz, the binnies are a pain coming at that time, ours are usually here after 9:30 at the earliest.

Haven't had any pain from the jabs so far anyway, i sent the water company a picture of the broken water meter cover, whether they do anything, no idea.

Made a couple of hot dogs for brekkie, with normal sausages instead of the hot dof ones, to cover the inside of the roll with mustard and ketchup, heaven.

I am slowly bringing food in from the garage freezer, of course its either Iceland stuff or from the fishmongers that used to deliver, got a couple of fantastic sushi packs, also kipper pack and packs of smoked haddock, when the freezer is empty i may turn it off as i cant see me using it much longer, unless i start buying froxen stuff from Iceland again.

While i was in bed i had a thought, i wonder if Ocado have Woks, so i got up at about 4am to check, wow, they have dozens of them, but i need one that works on Induction so ordered one to try it as some meals call for a Wok really.

Hope Mollie has a good day.

Hicky

Baz

glad you got your walk in. Gosh your bin men do come early!

I did enjoy the carvary thank you, a bargain with my 25% discount.   And Dolly loved seeing her mammy from when she was a baby, visiting too. We also met Dolly's daddy from when she was a baby, from work too, so that is why she was exhausted and slept solid through BB last night. She didn't even have the energy to jump on my lap for a snooze.

Hicky

glad you are ok after the jabs.

Gosh the waterboard sound a pain...hate it when they pass you round and no one seems to know what you are talking about.

Trust Ocado to have plenty of woks for you to choose from. Hope you are pleased with it. But 4am is a very early rise for you to order one.

Did you bring some grapes in?

A nice day again, so sat in the garden for awhile with Dolly. And got my washing dried on the line.

My next door neighour asked if she could come and see MrM's garden now he has finished it. She thought it was lovely. With autumn coming, he intends to make a start on indoor updating soon. (lots to do!)

Am enjoying BB so far. At least they seem to be giving them a lot of tasks. Not familar enough with them yet to know who I like best.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Yes, fine so far after the Jabs, so happy about that.

Yes, couldn't believe that they let a bill come out that was so far from reality, and it even put an extra person in the house, and i was already £90 in credit to start with, and the fact that they had some estimated figures messed up the computer doing the sums for the next year, they said i would owe over £500 when it was really only £120 for the year.

I rang Ocado again as when i finalised by order it said it didn't have a few items on my order, one was the bottle of Lemon juice i wanted, but when i went back and called it up it was there, the answer was, they have it in some of their warehouses, but not in the one that is going to make up my delivery, what a con, so i am not really looking what is in my delivery warehouse i am looking at what's in warehouses all over the country, great!! I asked if they could send a bottle down from another warehouse, he said we cant do that, he said if you leave your order till next Friday it will be in, as if.

I brought a bunch of grapes in, but think It's too late as some fell off, overripe, and when i brought them in, a couple of little crawlies escaped, got one, but another escaped on my desk.

I had one of the smoked haddock fillets for brekkie with a couple of duck eggs, there was 6 in the pack from the garage, and for tea have been cooking some of the other Iceland stuff, prawns in filo pastry and prawns in Tempura, just to get rid of them really.

I have recorded BB, haven't seen any yet, will have to try and catch up.

Hope Baz had a good night and day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Sunny , if chilly here  …but at least it’s dry for a change .I went for a walk first thing , fed wildlife , done a load of washing, and cleaned the kitchen and bathroom …so quite a productive day chez Baz . I hope everyone else is enjoying their Thursday .

Mollie , I’m glad you had a nice carvery meal…..and the pics you sent me were very cute . I am enjoying both BB and MAFS …hope you are too .And of course , teatime club , it goes without saying .Hicky , glad you didn’t have any adverse reaction to the jabs .I haven’t tried the smoked haddock fillets …were they Ocado , and ready cooked ? I can’t believe that over estimated bill either ! Are you enjoying BB ?

Well it’s posh hotels , bb and MAFS for my viewing tonight .Have a good evening both and take care .

Baz

Good afternoon, Mollie & Baz.

Glad you managed a walk Baz, i have the fellers here doing the roof work, came at about 1pm as the ist job overran, they havent done yet.

The smoked haddock was from a fishmonger that used to deliver all my fish etc, they are whole raw fillets, not small slices, got about 5 left.

I am going to make a Thai curry, i vurry paste was brought back from Thailand when son's Mrs went with the school, she brought 4 back all different, my lad when he came last week brought me 2 of the packs, i only need to add a can of coconut milk, which i have in stock and chicken, i have 4 nice chicken thights that will go in, they are already cooked anyway..

I have done my Ocado shop, added a few items since i checked out, i searched for Lemon juice that they didn't have, and found about 10 options so selected a couple so i could be in luck, not sure why these options didn't come up as an option to start with when they said they didn't have the PLJ lemon juice.

The Ocado was £148.74, hope i haven't ordered too much, mind you the Wok was £30

Hope Mollie has had a good day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  I had a crap night , and it was overcast and drizzly first thing , so I only had a short walk …but at least I got some fresh air .The sun is out now though , and it’s a bit warmer than the last couple of days . I hoovered upstairs and down, done the duvet shuffle , and two loads of washing , so not a totally wasted day .I hope everyone else is enjoying their Saturday , whatever you are up to.

Mollie , I enjoyed our renovations yesterday ….even though we made a stonking loss .I hope everything goes well at the theatre today .Hicky , I hope your roof is all fixed now .My Ocado shop was late today … only about 15 minute , but it is very unusual.

Well it’s Strictly , Blenheim Palace and First Dates for me tonight …so that’s my evenings viewing sorted .I hope you both have a good evening whatever you do.  Take care.

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Sorry to hear your night wasn't good, at least you got a short walk in, better than none.

I'll have to take more care over the food i order as i get some, and it says not freezable which means i have a struggle to eat it all before the best before date, it doesnt say its freezable or not unless you click on an item and look into the instructions, and that is a pain.

This M&S Lemon & Lime High Juice £1.75 is so lovely, 1 part to 4 water, love it.

The Wok is fine and no problem on my Induction hob, and Ocado was here dead on 11am, wasn't expecting them so handy but i was ready.

I really must cut down on the food i order as i tend to buy too much each time and i cant eat that much, the cupboards and freezer keep getting full, i'll have to just get essentials if possible.

\i was going to get delivery takeaway today but cant as i have meals that need eating.

Hope Mollie has had a good Saturday.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  A much better night for me , and I feel better than I did yesterday , so I went for a decent walk first thing .Aside from that , I’ve done a load of washing, cleaned kitchen and bathroom, put bin out ready for collection tomorrow, and fed the wildlife .  I pulled kitchen blinds this morning and there was Cyril , sitting on the pergola stuffing its face . I hope everyone else is having a good Monday too .

Mollie , we’ve spoken , but I hope the day is going well ….and I’ve loaded the van already for the renovation tonight ….lets hope we finally get a profit , cos we need it !Hicky , I hope you had a good weekend .  I’m not surprised you can’t eat everything …but tbh I tend to over order as well …I’m a “just in case “ person.

Well it’s BB ….which is really heating up nicely ……and MAFS tonight …so that’s my viewing sorted .Have a good evening both , and look after yourselves .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Glad you had a better night Baz and feel better today, yes, Cyril will eat or bury whatever you put out for him, but they only ever find less than half of what they bury, and a lot grpws as well with them leaving it behind, if its growable of course.

I am going to stop putting meals on my next order as i really need to get some of my stock eaten, i tend to put it in a drawer in the freezer then forget about it, i will try to buy only what i need.

I do like to have a spare of each item as i don't like to run out and find i forgot to get another but that's only on non-perishable stuff of course.

Had a letter from the water people with my new quarterly figures, starting Jan, £31 instead of £128 a quarter, much better, haven't heard back about the pic of the broken water meter cover.

The sausages i am settling on are the Denny's Gold Medal Pork & the Herta 10 Frankfurters.

Hope Mollie has had a good Monday.

Hicky

both x

Baz

Hope you slept ok last night and got your walk in today.

Glad you told me BB was good on Sunday as I had forgotten it was on Sundays and also that it was a good episode as I wasn't keen on the first few episodes. I enjoyed last nights BB too.  And I think MAFS is really good. There is an improvement for us on the Renovation show, hope it continues.

How nice you got to see Cyril enjoying his treats you bought him.

Hicky

I too tend to overbuy when food shopping and forget what we have in  the freezer. We will need to sort it soon as I like to try the different foods they bring in for Christmas.

Thank goodness the water people have sorted out your bill at last. Cheeky devils trying to overcharge you so much.

I didn't see your food order this week.   That juice sounds nice. We get a lovely Organic lime juice off our order that I add to fizzy water. Really nice. I know what you mean about checking what is and isn't freezable, as it is so easy not to check and then find you are wasting food.

Those Goats Cheese Cheescakes were delicious, so I ordered them again this week.

Also the small brussel sprouts are in M and S again, and they are very good.

What a shame you were too late bringing in the grapes in. MrM has not had much luck this year with both the tomatoes and strawberries. It must be down to that awful summer weather we had.

Have you thought any more about going away to see your family in December?

Doggie had a hair cut today and we hate it this time! We have had the same groomer, but for some reason, she cut it a lot shorter this time and it doesn't suit the little doggie. Hope it grows quickly. I have had to go out and buy her a warm jacket, as she will feel the cold now.

Son appeared in a singing show last Saturday and a few of my neighbours came. Luckily they really enjoyed it.

Went for brekkie with my friend and her grandson. He loves pushing the doggie around the pet shop in the kiddies trolley after. 4 members of staff came to take a photo of her in the trolley. Then we went in another shop to look at the Christmas decs, (with doggie sitting on her blanket in the trolley). They sell a lot of pet stuff so she is allowed in there too.

My back has been achy lately. So I have been using my TENS machine, which is a good help. Its odd as its in the rib area when I get it, due to my rib cage moving the time I have that op. Must have damaged the muscles, so they are vulnerable.

I just had a piece of white Toblerone as my treat. I love that. They have a caramel one out now, so I will try and find one in the shops.

It feels milder today after that brief cold spell we had. I even had the heating on for an hour the other day.

Have a good day both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

I enjoyed the goats cheese, very nice, not keen on most of the meals i bought to test this week, will post the list i got after i post this one.

Not sure what to do about going to see my son and fam in the Philippines, not sure if he is staying there as he has to leave the place he is in before Christmas, so will have to see.

I suppose the cold weather is going to make your backache more Mollie, i doubt if i will be getting my hair cut soon as i am trying to grow it long and not sure what to do, i was always taut if your hair is short what you can do with it is very limited, when long you can do what you want, because yu can shorten it but never lengthen it.

I have had the heating on for many weeks. it's costing £2 or £3 a day, a good job it's gas, i got the new energy price list through from British Gas, it has also updated my Smart meter desk display, so all the tarrifs are to hand which is handy.

Hope Baz had a good night and day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  It’s rained all day here ….and so dark that my battery operated motion sensor lights keep coming on ! Consequently, although I had a better night , the furthest I’ve been today is to the bins and to feed the wildlife ! So all I’ve done today is two loads of washing , cleaned kitchen and hoovered …therefore a lazy day chez Baz .I hope it’s drier wherever you are .

Mollie , I hope your laptop ( and the forum) are working ok today . Im glad you made it for bb yesterday ….it was fun , and so was MAFS  . But I hope we can make some decent profit on the renovations tonight , cos my bank balance can sure do with it !I remember using a TENS machine when I was pregnant …I hope it helped your back . Hicky , I’ve had those Denny sausages too l I have had my central heating on for a few weeks too ….and mine is gas as well . ..tbh if it ever came to it , I’d rather be hungry than cold . My sweet  crave at the moment is Midget Gems .

Well it’s BB and MAFS again for me tonight ….so another fun evenings viewing .I hope you both have a lovely evening . Take care .

Baz

Good afternoon, Mollie & Baz.

Yes, been raining all day here as well, not sure if it rained last night, forecast here shows it dry tomorrow.

I've been getting bags of Skittles for Halloween night in case they come around, i like the jelly babies but only have 2 a day, loving the Walkers salt & vin crisps, wow.

Having chips and gravy for tea, i have so much that need eating, i found another big bag of the frozen chips outside in the garage freezer, i am trying not to order stuff i already have, not so bad if it's in tins or dried stuff.

Midget Gems are small round biscuits with an iced top aren't they?

I had to get M&S Plant Kitchen oat drink as they had run out of Alpro, i didn't know M&S even sold it.

Hope Mollie has had a good day.

Hicky

both

Thanks for your shopping list. You have a good variety of things there. Think I will try that brand of goats cheese you got. Shame you don't like most of your test meals this week though.

Yes that is midget gems you described, they are rather nice.

I too bought a tub of sweets for the kiddies at Halloween. Got some from Costco.

Chips and gravy, yummy. I also like chips and mayo.

Best to wait then until it is clear then what your son is doing before you decide when to visit.

I guess to grow your hair will be a nice change and saves you making the effort to go and have it cut.

Baz

Pity the rain stopped your walk today. HOpefully it will be nice tomorrow.

Those TENS machines are so good. I too used one when pregnant and during delivery.

Been enjoying our Renovations this week. Think we are on an upward spiral, we are not far from that yacht now.

That is good you are able to enjoy your midget gems. Do you bit the icing bit off first? I used to.

Am enjoying both BB and MAFS. Glad you are too. We had too long in the summer without much to watch.

Well it was rain, rain and rain today. But looking better tomorrow, thank goodness, as it has given a lot of road/train problems.

And my friend is coming from Weston in the train to spend the day with me. Am taking her to the carvery lunch and the designer outlet to do a bit of shopping.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Good afternoon, Mollie & Baz.

I still have a few of the meals still to try this week, the 1st 4 i tried didn't impress, the skittles are for Halloween, the Quality Street i give to the Meds driver for the staff.

Yes, not sure what to do with my hair, also growing my beard, but i know if its long i get more options.

Listening to you saying about chips & Mayo, when i was working in Belgium and got chips from a chippy, i asked for salt & vinegar, they said, we don't have that, we have 10 flavours of Mayo.

I'm not ordering meals this time, going to see what i have in the freezers to see what is needed.

Not sure what to do about going to see my lad & fam in the Philippines yet, i was hoping my Crypto would improve, 1 item, LEND has still not been released to private or public, it might be waiting for Bitcoin to take off again, i don't need crypto to go away, but it would be nice to have some extra.

Hope Baz had a decent night and a good Thursday.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Well I had an eventful night ! I got up for a bathroom break and ended up smacking my head (nose ) on the corner of a wall …don’t ask me how I managed it ….just dumb stupidity!! Luckily my nose wasn’t broken …..and I expected to wake up with a black eye , but all I’ve got is a small scrape ….so go me.

Anyway , it’s another sunny day, so  I got my walk in first thing , changed the sheet and pillowcases , done two loads of washing , and fed the wildlife . The gardeners have been and trimmed all the front hedges , so that’s the garden tidied up ready for the winter . I hope everyone else is having a less eventful day than me .

Mollie , you and Hicky are thinking of iced gems ( the biscuits ), these are midget gems ….jelly sweets .I am enjoying renovations this week too….although I think a yacht maybe pushing it ….but at least we are off the Prosecco . I am really enjoying BB ….its about as near to the old format as we’ve been in years ! As for MAFs , that’s hilarious too.By the way , I keep forgetting to tell you that I woke up the other day night and I was cuddling Dolly 2 . Hicky , I’ll order some Halloween sweets to be delivered with next Saturdays Ocado order ….although last year no one even knocked . Such a shame that you might not get to visit your son and family at Xmas . Is your roof holding up ok?

Well it’s BB eviction and GB for us tonight .I hope you both have a good evening too . Look after yourselves .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz,

Oh right, not had midget gems, will look into, i've probably had them some time ago.

Oh dear, walking into the corner of a wall isnt a good idea, you must have been still half asleep.

It was No.#3 sons birthday today so sent him some money to get some cake or food, he's coming to see me tomorrow as well.

Yes, not sure what to do about a holiday, will see how things go.

Hope Mollie has had a good day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Horrible weather this morning , but it seems to have cleared up now …the sun is out at the moment !Consequently the furthest I went was a quick trip up the shop at the top of the road , and to feed the wildlife . If the weather remains ok I might go for a quick walk around the block ….or then again I might not .Aside from that I’ve kept myself busy cleaning bathroom, and doing two loads of washing …so not a totally wasted Sunday .I hope everyone else is having a good day , and not getting blown away !

Mollie , I hope you are having a good weekend . A nice couple on DTTB , eh I’m looking forward to seeing what the numpties have  been up to on bb tonight . Hicky, yes , it was a really silly thing to do .The bridge of my nose is quite sore …I presume it’s bruised the bone , and I’ve got a bruise on my arm ….but in the grand scheme of things I got off lightly .i hope you had a lovely time with your son yesterday .

Well it’s the Strictly results , FD, and BB for me tonight lHave a good evening both , and take care of yourselves .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Yes Baz, it was lovely having son here again, he went out and got us both fish and chips, he has also done the floor with the rotary cleaner thingi, you get so many chips these days even after he asked for small portions so it does me 2 meals,.

I've been watching the F1, with it being from Texas the timing is a bit strange but its all recorded, as is the voice and strictly & BB so got loads to catch up on.

I'm using uup as many meals as i can from my stocks and not ordering meals this week to insure i lower my stocks.

Very strong winds here as well, hope Mollie has had a good Sunday.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Sunny , but quite chilly here today . Not a bad night for me , and I went for a walk this morning , so got some fresh air. Aside from that , I’ve done a load of washing , hoovered , fed wildlife , and rescued bins ….first one was collected at 6.40 am ! 🤬🤣🤣🤣I hope everyone else is enjoying their Tuesday .

Mollie , we did really well on renovations yesterday , boosted the bank balance nicely .I hope we get more dosh today , and I really enjoyed FIAB too . MAFS was really good last night ….plenty of fireworks . I hope your day is going well and I’ll see you for teatime club later .Hicky, glad you had a nice time with your son .I hope you enjoy BB and Strictly , when you get round to watching them .

Well it’s a full evening viewing for me ….Bake Off , BB and MAFS .I hope you both have a good evening , and look after yourselves .

Baz

Good afternoon, Mollie & Baz.

Sunny here as well today and Water Engineer came and sorted the water meter cover, i watched him on the camera, my lad in Cornwall was also watching as he sent me a message telling me he had arrived, but i was already watching, he was due 1pm to 5pm and was here at 5 to 1pm which was handy as it saved watching the front for 4 hours.

I enjoyed The Voice semi-final, wow, the standard of the singing was incredible, so hard to pick 4 from 12 as i couldn't find a fault with any of them.

I'll have darts to watch again from Thursday for 4 days then F1 again from Friday.

Hope Mollie has had a good Tuesday.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Very chilly here today , and a bit overcast , but I wrapped up warm, and went for  a walk this morning . Apart from that I’ve fed the wildlife , done a load of washing , cleaned the kitchen and the bathroom, so not a totally wasted day .I hope everyone else is enjoying their Thursday , whatever you are up to .

Mollie , I hope your day is going well. I  enjoyed Teatime Club yesterday …even though we made no money .BB was good too….and last nights MAFS was explosive …I hope you managed to watch it .Hicky , wow , your cameras sound fantastic .Sounds like you’ve got plenty of things to watch on tv too.Have you been watching BB ? They seem to have got the format better this year .

Well it’s Amazing Hotels , BB and MAFS for me tonight .I hope you both have a good evening . Take care .

Baz
