Good Afternoon Mollie & Baz.

It seems the site crashed as couldnt get the site yesterday, and its acting strange when you F5 as its not taking me to my last post, they will probably sort it.

Watched the darts last night, Luke Littler beat Luke Humphries, but was beaten in the final by MVG, as i expected.

I'm trying to use up food i have in the kitchen freezer, i really must eat more of it, i have some items that need to go to the garage freezer, like steak slices and Cornish Pasties, or i will eat them.

Hope you are both having a good weekend

Hicky

Glad we are back It was like old times last night .

Afternoon  Mollie and Hicky   Very chilly here today ….but dry …for now ! I didn’t have a great night , so no walk today …although I did pop up the local shop …and fed the wildlife …so I’ve had some fresh air .Aside from that I’ve done naff all ….just some washing and general tidying up ….so a very lazy day chez Baz .I hope you are all enjoying their Sunday, whatever you are up to .

Mollie , I hope your son is feeling a bit better today ….like I said , I’m sure it was some sort of scam! I’m looking forward to Pottery tonight ….raku usually sorts them out. Hicky , the forum was down for about 3 hours last night …first it went on a go slow ….then I kept getting the robot .  I ended up emailing them and they said they would look into it ….sure enough they sorted it out . Glad you are enjoying the darts . I had a clear out of my freezer a few weeks ago .

Well it’s a full evenings viewing for me tonight , DOI , Pottery , and Simon Reeve . Have a good evening both , and take care .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Sorry you didnt have a good night but at least you got to the shops, i just went to the garage to bring some more food in, i also took some from the indoor freezer as i will eat them all, steak slices and pasties.

I did a  wash load and dried and folded and put away, i also did a dishwasher load, the usual Sunday one, and cleaned the induction hob, this elboew grease cleaner is very good.

Had Sushi for tea, i could live on that and at Β£3.50 a time i might just fancy that.

I had a scam email from a fale royal mail so forwarded it to their scam department, i always send them to the right department.

I've got darts for a few days each week and F1 shoulbe starting soon as well.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Not a great day chez Baz….I had a bad night , and ..I’m not feeling 100% ….but the weather is ok …so I did manage to go for a walk first thing . …I also had to pop up the local shop cos I needed some milk .  Aside from that I’ve not really done a lot , just a load of washing , rescued the bin and restocked the wildlife .I hope everyone else is having a better Tuesday than me .

Mollie , thank you for the lovely photos …..the puppy is beautiful .I enjoyed our Ant time yesterday .I hope your day is going well and I’ll see you for teatime club again later .Hicky , I’ve had a spate of scam emails this week ….i just delete them unopened .My son loves sushi too .Sounds like you’ve got your TV viewing sorted .

Its GBM and Sky Nature for me tonight .Have a good evening both , and take care .

Baz

Baz

sorry you had a bad night and are not so good today. Hope you will do better tonight.

I too enjoyed our Ant time yesterday and enjoyed Tea Time club today.

I will miss joining the forum for Traitors this week. But did enjoy pottery this week.

That was good you thought to email the forum to correct it.

Hicky

Glad you have F1 and darts to look forward to.

Not a bad price for your suishi and its nice to know its good for you too.

Went to the garden centre the weekend as MrM has lots to do in the garden. Son ran around outside with the pup. She loved it as it was a big place and she enjoyed people stopping to stroke her. Made a roast dinner for the family. I cheated with the mash (bought mash for microwave), and got ready peeled carrots, but I made my own yorkshires and roast potatoes.

Going out for brekkie tomorrow with friend and her grandson. Its an all you can eat one, even has Yorkshire puds, so not bad for Β£4.80 with my voucher.

Have a nice evening both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Nice and sunny here today so did some pruning on the grape vine, got leaves on the blue slate which covers the ground, will see if i can get the gardener as its too much for me.

Sorry you had a bad night Baz, i wake a couple of times and just turn over, wish i could sleep on my back, not sure if i should try harder or not.

Enjoy your brekkie tomorrow Mollie, all you can eat is the best thing ever.

I was looking through the Iceland Cathedral City, wow, they have 40 entries, that must take up a lot of space in a freezer, but not sure how many of those are frozen.

I tried the Cathedral City 4 Mature Cheddar Slices Crackers & Pickle 122g, it makes a nice snack.

I bought some Yorkshire puds from Iceland, very nice, i froze them anyway but think they came frozen, but a few minutes in the air fryer and they are done.

I brought half a dozen meals in from the garage as the kitchen freezer was gettijg low on food.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°It’s been overcast , but dry here today . Not a bad night , so I went for a walk first thing  , cos I had to be back early to give a car key to my neighbours mechanic ….but he didn’t come until lunch time !πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ€£Aside from that , I’ve done a load of washing , hoovered , dusted , and cleaned the kitchen ! Now my rear is parked firmly on the sofa for the rest of the afternoon .🀣🀣I hope everyone else is having a good Thursday .😁

Mollie, I hope you enjoyed your brekkie with your friend l😁I’m looking forward to this years shower of numpties in the Apprentice tonight.🀣I hope we get some more Ant action soon .🀣πŸ₯°Hicky , I really need to get out and do some weeding in the front garden cos all the bulbs ( early daffs etc)  are coming through ….got some snowdrops in flower already .My husband used to love nature cheddar ….so did I , but I have to be a bit careful with it these days .

Well it’s gbm , apprentice , and botched for me tonight …so that’s my viewing sorted .Have a good evening both , and take care of yourselves .

Baz

Good Afternoon Mollie & Baz.

Glad your night want too bad and you got a walk in Baz

I will record The Apprentice, i can watch in my time, will see then if its worth bothering with.

Not much going on here, binnies came, meds came, need to do more pruning on the raspberry canes.

I have too many eggs so will make an omelette for tea, will use up some of the chopped onion from the freezer and some sliced green chillies and red cheddar, i tried that the other day with the new slicer and it was fine as its not as crumbly as the mature cheddar, i thought it wouldnt be, i usually put extra food on the order incase an item isnt on the shelf at the time, but sods law ir was so i have a 15 and a 10 pack of eggs to use up.

I have the darts tonight, its the Premier League from Cardiff as it visits places all round Europe for eaxh Thursday for 16 weeks.

Just checked, got darts to watch Fri, sat ,sun as well, masters, great.

Hope Mollie has a good day.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  A  much better day chez Baz .Managed a walk first thing ….and bought more bird feed ….they are costing me a bliddy fortune .Aside from that I’ve caught up on the housework and washing ….so not a bad Sunday . I hope everyone else is having a good day too .

Mollie , I hope you are having a good day ….and slept well .Im looking forward to Pottery tonight .I wonder if we will get some more Ant action this week .Hicky, sounds like your tv viewing is sorted for the next few weeks .Looks like you are going to be eating a lot of omelettes too How are your sons doing ?

Well it’s a full evening viewing for me tonight , starting with DOI .I hope you both have a good evening . Take care .

Baz

Good Afternoon Mollie & Baz.

Yes, thats what i found with feeding the birds and Cyrils, the more you put out the more they take and the more that come, for years at the other house i had a bird bath and feeders, the bird bath was auto filled with water a few times a day, the birds used to line up on the fence to take a turn in the bath, they loved it, it had a drip water head at high level and controlled by a timer computer thingy similar to what i use now, they did drink the water but with them flapping to wash their fethers it wasted rather a lot of water, they even stood under the water as it was coming in, they loved it.

My fresh orange juice didnt turn up, i had ordered 6 x 1L but out of stock, and the 3 Ginster steak pasties didnt turn up either, and the pack of tiger rolls turned out to be a thick tiger loaf.

The darts is on all year, it changes tv stations but the PDC website says when its on, i just scan the channels to find it, but the thursday matches are every week for 4 months.

Good job i like eggs, 25 to get through, only got 16 left, they dont last, if i have an omelette i have 4, but if i fry them i have 3.

My lads are fine, grandson in Cornwall just got regraded to Orange belt in Judo, he is in the RAF Cadets., as well as chess club, swimming club, surfing club and heaven know what else.

I got a cooked chicken from Iceland, i love cold chicken wings and legs, had them last night, going to slice the breast into a pan of Hot n Sour soup.

Hope Mollie has had a good Sunday.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Wet and chilly here today ..so no walk, except for a quick walk up to the local shop . Snow forecast tomorrow. So I’ve spent the morning cleaning ,  washing , rescuing the bin, and feeding the wildlife . Cyril paid a brief visit this morning ….but he didn’t stay very long .I hope everyone else is having a good Tuesday , whatever you are doing .

Mollie , I hope your day is going well …..thanks for the info….sounds like it’s going to be fun .I hope we get some more Ant action today .Hicky, awwww that bird bath sounds fantastic . I’ve only got a stone one , and a small metal one . I will need to get my gardener to straighten up the stone one when he starts lawn mowing again , cos it’s developed a lean , and it’s too heavy for me to straighten up .Glad your lads are doing well .

Well it’s teatime club and gbm for me tonight  . Have a good evening , and look after yourselves .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

It will be easy to level the birdbath up, the top is usually just resting on the pedestal but with the sahape of the bowl it means the pedestal has a sloping area but the bath section can tilt but is easy to carefully level again, the ones i have seen are anyway.

Had to put my hat and coat on to take a bag to the wheelie bin as its rained all day, i could have waited till tomorrow really as the weather is dry then, but neighbour comes to put it out tomorrow.

If its ok tomorrow i'll see if i can do more pruning on the apple, pear and raspberry canes.

I made a cheese on toast usinf the pre sliced mature cheddar cheese from Iceland, 12 slices in a pack.

Hope Mollie has had a good day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  No snow , but cold and rained all day !I didn’t have a bad night , but I am not having a good day ,  hey ho. Because of that , and the weather , I’ve done naff all ! I’ve done some washing , cleaned kitchen , and managed to brave the weather to feed the wildlife , but that’s all ….my step count is abysmal !I hope everyone else is having a better day than me .

Mollie , I hope your day is going ok . …and that you’ve sorted your passport for this evening .I hope you can join us for the Apprentice numpties too .Hicky yes, the bowl of the birtdbath does come off , but both sections are very , very heavy concrete ….way to heavy for me to adjust . I hope you managed to get your pruning done , cos the weather here was  quite nice yesterday .

Well it’s a full evening viewing for me ….GBM , Apprentice , and Botched . Look after yourselves , and have a good evening .

Baz

Good Afternoon Mollie & Baz.

Sorry to hear your not having a good day Baz, i think a bit has come off a tooth as it feels like a sharp spike in my mouth, might have to ring dentist but so hard to get anyone to see me.

My lad, son #3 popped in earlier with a pressy he brought from Venice, a lovely Navy V deck Jumper, how nice, he loved venice.

I did some more cheese slicing, i cut a slab of mature cheddar in half, that is just wide enough to let the slice fit over so i get a full slice each pull of the slicer, had a cheese on toast and a pasty for brekkie, will have the rest of the chicken soup i made for tea.

Been sleet and rain all day so far here but yesterday i managed to get in the garden and do more pruning, i used water from a water butt to water the 6 big tubs in the greenhouse, will grow some plants in there this summer.

I,ve gpt darts tonight any

Hope Mollie is having a good day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Not a bad night for me, and weather is dry , so I went for a walk first thing .  When I got back I got my rear in gear and did the duvet shuffle , two loads of washing, cleaned kitchen, hoovered , sorted the shopping, emptied bins, and restocked the wildlife ….so quite a productive day chez Baz . I hope everyone else is enjoying their Saturday .

Mollie , I hope you are having a good day …and you are behaving yourself ….otherwise you won’t be able to get on the plane on Monday . I hope you can make it for doi and pottery tomorrow .Hicky , I hope you can get your tooth sorted .How lovely that your son brought you a nice jumper from Venice .Well done on the pruning…..my early daffs are coming out , so Spring is on its way .

Not sure what the viewing is tonight , but sure we will find something .Have a good evening both . Take care .

Baz

Good afternoon Mollie & Baz.

Glad your night was ok Baz, nothing worse than a troubled night, i toss and turn, probably too hot, but better than too cold i suppose, the heating goes down overnight, not too low as i might get up in the night for a drink from the fridge.

Not done much, had a bowl of syrup instand poridge with Alpro creamy oat, so nice, then Iceland came with delivery, a load of items missing, said out of stock, but 2 items, Kipling lemon fancies that were out of stock turned up, not 2 but 3 packs, i rang them to tell them but they said, as long as you got whar you ordered thats fine, 4 items not in stock so they said i'll get Β£24 refund for the sushi, cocktail sausages, iceland pasties and lemon fancies, so that dropped the bill a lot.

12 seeded burger buns for Β£2 is good, i use then to put bacon, eggs, ham & cheese, sausages, they are already sliced and frozen so easy to keep in stock.

Been watching recordings as saw nothing new on tv.

Not sure what to do with my tooth, might leave it as its not painful, see how it goes.

Hope Mollie has had a good saturday.

Baz

glad you slept ok and got out for your walk. Hope you are happy with your new electric blanket when it arrives.

Have been really enjoying Tea Time club in Benidorm this week.

No way will I miss that plane to Benidorm on Monday, can't have you going there and enjoying all that entertainment without me.

Hicky

Thank you for the lovely Venice photos. Glad to hear your son enjoyed it so much and how nice he bought you a pressie back from there too.

That is good you have darts to enjoy watching. Won't be long till Celeb BB now. I saw the advert on C4 the other night.

That is a shame so much was missing from your Iceland order. But those seeeded buns sound really good value.

Wonder if Ocado would suit you? They have a special offer for new customers. Baz introduced them to me and I am very pleased with them. They do have a good choice of stuff and rarely is there anything missing off my orders. (and I have big orders for the family and pup).

If your tooth is not bothering you, you should be ok to leave it be and see if it settles. I read that this special probiotic toothpaste is good for any problems at all, for teeth and gums...helps to heal it. I am going to try it.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gutol...7BJD?ref_=ast_sto_dp

I am watching The Masked Singer tonight. Enjoy that. Don't seem to have much time to watch tv since we moved and got the pup. So am very selective what I watch now.
MrM is finding a lot more football being shown on ordinary channels. so hasn't had to go to the pub for ages to watch it.
Our windows have been playing up, so someone came and fixed one of the seals, and will be back when he has the part to fix another, as the wind was blowing in badly.
We are also trying to find someone to put some slabs down for a patio for spring. We had a quote to replace part of the fence and it was Β£350! So MrM managed to patch it up with some rod things instead of replacing the posts with concrete. It only came to Β£30 , and a lot of hammering to strengthen them, so hopefully it will be ok, He had to go in next doors garden. They were pleased he was doing it.
Had a lovely sunny day till about 4pm today, so took pup to seafront and we all had chips. They taste so nice when you eat them on seafront
I am so behind with my washing as it has been wet, so it was nice to get a few loads dried out on the line today, at last.
Went for carvary lunch with friend on Thursday, which was nice and brekkie out as usual on Wednesday and went with family for pub tea on Tuesday, as window person was so late going. I only usually go out on a Monday to Thursday as those days I can use my 20% off voucher.  Think I have done more cooking this week for the pup than for the family.
Better post this before the pup deletes it. She has learnt to whack her paws on my keyboard as she then gets my attention. (she has managed to change a few settings now)
Have a good evening both  xxx
M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

I asked Icelan what time was best to have less items missing, he said i should book an earleir delivery, might try that.

Strange they said they didnt have the 2 packs Mr Kiplings cakes i ordered, but sent me 3 packs of the ones they didnt have, strange.

My tooth  / gum isnt sore, its just that it seems a bit has come off leaving a sharp pointy piece which is annoying, might ring them and see what they say.

Hope Baz had a good night.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  πŸ₯°πŸ₯°Sunny , but chilly here today . Not a great night for me , but I did go for a walk first thing . Aside from that I’ve cleaned kitchen , washed , and dusted . I also fed the wildlife …..I had two Cyril’s in the garden this morning .😁😁😁They were greedy little blighters …they ate all the walnuts and pecans…..and one ran off clutching 3 monkey nuts in its little paws ….it was hilarious .🀣🀣❀️❀️❀️I hope everyone else is enjoying their Monday .😁

Mollie , I enjoyed DOI last night , and glad all our faves survived .🀣I hope you are having a good day , and I’ll see you at the airport later .🀣Glad you got the window, and fence sorted .πŸ₯°Hicky , I hope your tooth has settled .πŸ€— That’s what happened to mine ….but eventually it had to come out ….which was very costly ! I agree with Mollie , I find Ocado really good . Loads of choice …including M&S ….and like Mollie says , I very rarely have missing items or substitutes .πŸ‘πŸ»

Well it’s an hgtv make over programmes night today .🀣I hope you both have a nice evening . Take care .πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

Baz

Good Afternoon Mollie & Baz.

Sorry to hear you didnt have a good night Baz, i toss and turn but didnt get up, i did sit up and had a drink of water from my water bottle, i replace the still water bottle every 2 weeks because i refill it with tap water, the water here is the best in the world, well i think so anyway.

They Cyrils can store food in their mouth cheeks to carry back to the den etc so they can move a lot of food, and if you give them loads they will store it, they usually bury it, i used to find all sorts growing in my lawn at the previous house.

I have been in the garden seeing it was dry and sunny, i left a message for the gardener, need him for a couple of hours, going to move soil/compost from some outside tubs to the greenhouse tubs and raised beds, also i did more pruning, did a bit on an apple tree and a few fig trees, i think the old Bramley has had it, a couple of years ago the trunk snapped with the weight of apples, we supported it and tied it back up but last year the crop wasnt good, will give it 1 more year to see if its worth keeping, thats the problem with growing in tubs as ive said before, they should be root pruned or repotted every 3 years.

Going to leave my tooth for now, it isnt giving a problem so will see how it goes.

Hope Mollie has had a good Monday.

Hicky

Baz

sorry you had a bad night, hope you fare better tonight. Let's hope your new electric blanket helps keep you snug and so sleep better.

Your Cyrils sound so funny, fancy eating all those food supplies, and running away with 3 monkey nuts. Shame you couldn't take a photo of that, bet it looked so funny. Monkey nuts, pecans and walnuts, they are certainly some spoilt Cyrils round your place.

Yes I enjoyed DOI and it was a good result. I also enjoyed the new judges dance. Think I might just stick to DOI in future as I find it stressfull with the overlap, and the 2 shows stretching over such a long time, means I get behind on the jobs I need to do at home. It will also mean if I do have to pause DOI, it won't matter. Not sure about the Apprentice either, bit bored with it now,  MrM not keen on it, so might watch something else.

But what I do really enjoy is Tea Time club as I am not so exhausted and achy at 5, as I am for the 9pm shows, and I am really enjoying our trips to Benidorm right now. What a lot of interesting characters we have enounctered during our time there.

Hicky

I too replace my water bottles with tap water, but we have got a water filter jug , as the tap water is not so good here.

Glad you got in your garden, best to take advantage of the weather when its nice and sunny. Hope your gardener can fit you in soon.

MrM too has been busy over the weekend as it was nice weather here too. He has managed to build a little wall around the shed area, so it looks nice. He has to get some gravel to go there next.

Did endless washing today, to take advantage of the fact it was such a nice day. Luckily it did dry nicely on the line.

Took pup a walk by the river. Well son did really, as she loves running off with him and I just do a little slow stroll behind them. We do keep her on a lead for safety but it is a long lead and son is able to run fast with her. Amazing how fast she can run for such a little pup. She has to have a snooze when she gets home though.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Good Adternoon Mollie & Baz.

I change the water bottle every 2 weeks because my lad was here many months ago and said the bottle was green in the neck, they are only 500ml spring water ones that i get from Iceland, a 24 pack is pretty cheap.

The gardener was here at 11am this morning, put the last of the leaves from the blue slate into the raised beds, removed the soil/compost from 4 big tubs and put that into the greenhouse tubs and raised beds, he also did some weeding etc, so in 2hrs 15 mins he did a lot, very pleased.

Going to make up the pancake batter for tea, love pancakes, only have sugar and lemon on them, that enough for me.

Think i'm ready for the plants next, thinking of Lettuce, Toms, Cucumber, spring onion, beetroot, wish i could grow Ham.

I have 6 75L tubs in the greenhouse and 2 outside now as 4 have been scrapped, i still have 7 big tubs outside with 3 fig trees, 1 plum tree, 1 walnut tree and a Bramley apple tree and a tub with pole for tree support and a tub with a raspberry cane in.

Hope Baz had a good night, and day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Drizzly this morning , but I did go for a walk first thing cos I needed something from the garage .  Not a bad  night , so I got my rear into gear , changed sheets , washed , ironed , dusted and cleaned the kitchen . Cyril was out there stuffing his face when I got up , so I had to restock …..luckily my shopping arrived this morning , so …… I’m just waiting for a delivery that is due in the next hour !🀞🏻I hope everyone else is having a good Wednesday .

Mollie , it was great having some Ant time yesterday .I hope your day is going well . I enjoy both doi and watching the numpties on the Apprentice.I do enjoy Pottery too …just hope there won’t be too many overlaps once it starts ! Glad puppy enjoys her walks  My new electric blanket is due to be delivered today . Hicky , my gardener hasn’t resumed  mowing yet ….think he usually starts in March . My early daffs and snowdrops look nice though .Hope you enjoyed your pancakes yesterday .

Well it’s GBM , First Dates and Botched  for me tonight , I think . Have a good evening both , and take care .

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Glad your night was ok Baz and you got a walk in, i  didnt do much today, decided to have the pancakes today so i could make them in the day, had 4 for brekkie and 4 for tea, still got some batter left so will finish that in the morning.

I was telling my #5 son that i have ben buttering my toast by holding a bar of butter by ubwrapping one end and rubbing it over the toast, he said they make a gadget that is on Amazon that you put your butter in and you can rub it over bread, toast or corn cobs, so i've ordered that.

I have to feed the Fig trees, forgot today so next dry day i will do that, they need Garden Lime and some feed, they dont like acid conditions.

Hope Mollie had a good day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°Guess who walked a mile to the postbox , and shop this morning only to find I’d forgotten my bliddy purse ….and didn’t realise it til I got to the till…..beam me up Scotty !πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ€£πŸ€£Not a bad night , and my hip feels a little easier today . I’ve done a load of washing , hoovered and dusted , so a reasonably productive day chez Baz .😁I hope everyone else is having a good Friday .

Mollie, I hope your feet are more comfortable today and you had a good night .The electric blanket definitely helps my hip ….i think it relaxes the muscles . I hope your day is going well , and I will see you for more sunshine at 5 .Hicky , I hope you enjoyed your pancakes . That gadget sounds interesting ….although I use easy spreading lurpak .I went out and did a bit of pruning/ cutting back  yesterday .

Well it’s the new gogglebox to look forward to tonight . Have a good evening both…and take care .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Oh dear Baz, thats bad luck forgetting your purse, carry some notes in my mobile case so i always have some cash incase i forget to take my wallet out, but of course i usually pay by the app on my mobile anyway but carry 1 of each Β£20, Β£10 & Β£5 notes in case.

I dont use spread anymore as its mainly just oil and i want butter, the gdget works well, very pleased it will be great with corn on the cob as well, but tried it with thick seeded bloomer toasted, that is so good.

Got 2 letters today, have a pre-op appointment on the 27th and a procedure on the 12th March for the kidney stones, its a day patient surgery, i have waited 9 months for this.

Its lovely seeing the days getting longer, always a good sign that spring isnt far away.

Hope Mollie has a good day.

Hicky

Baz

oh dear, fancy walking all that way and even getting to the till, then to realise you forgot your purse. What a shame.

That is good you got some fresh air in your garden as well, with a bit of pruning too.

Glad you had an ok night and your hip is easing. Makes sense I guess that the warmth from the blanket is easing the ache, so it was a good purchase for you.

Have enjoyed our Benidorm trips these last few weeks with Tea Time club.

Didn't bother with Apprentice this week, as was feeling restless with my feet and have got a bit bored of it.

Hicky

Gosh you got your kidney stone appointment at last! Thank goodness for that. I remember you said you coudn't think of going abroad till you got that sorted. So hopefully after your are recovered, perhaps you can think of another holiday? I know how much you enjoyed seeing the family last time. (apart from the mossie bites, which I am sure you will do your utmost to avoid this time).

That Amazon gadget sounds usefull, never heard of it before.  We too only eat butter as not keen on the oil in the spreads, so would make good use of such a gadget. My fave butter is the Lurpak butter. They do big blocks of it in Costco, so we get it from there.

Yes I too have noticed how quickly the days are getting longer now. And our daffs have come out, so spring will be here soon.

It was dry here today, so hopefully it was for you too, so you can sort those fig trees out.

I too made pancakes on pancake day and we always only have lemon and sugar on them. Delicous.

Went yesterday to carvary again. My friend had 25% off, so it worked out at only Β£7 each. Such good value as it has a great choice of veg.

MrM has been busy in the garden when its dry. Put quite a few stones down so he doesn't have so much grass to cut and he can put plants on the area then.

I have been exhausted this week with trying to do my normal jobs whilst the pain in my feet has got worse, especially in the evenings. My x rays some years ago did show arthritis in my feet, so think I will go back to podiatrist. She made some insoles for me and showed me some exercises. But that was a few years ago now, so will ask for some new insoles.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

I think he was talking about my right kidney which has / had 3 stones in it, i dont think they touch the left kidney at this time, it has 1 stone, i'll ask about that at the time, they didnt want to touch the left one first with that being the one that gave me sepsis and had a blister and all sorts of drains and pipes to let the puss out.

Never got in the garden as the sun was late coming out, will see tomorrow.

A good idea getting the butter in big blocks, the 250g one gives me 2 fillings of this butter spreader so thats fine, its going to last a while.

Which arthritis have you got in your feet, osteo or rhumatoid?

Hicky

both

Hicky

hope you are enjoying your weekend and managed to get in your garden.

They promised rain here, and luckily it didn't arrive till around 3pm, so MrM managed to get some more gravel to put down in the garden this afternoon.

Will you be able to go abroad if they do this right kidney now, or will they need to do something on the other one out too?

Its osteo arthritis I have. They said it was early onset due to the problems I had when I had that thyroid op some years ago. They told me at that time to make sure I have plenty of calcium, which I do try to do.

We went to Costco this morning. Needed to get lots of stuff, including 2 collapsable laundery baskets as my other ones had broken.

Had my usual fave take away of jacket potato and cheese, followed by a caramel ice cream. Very enjoyable. MrM likes a cooked chicken. He shares that with the dog and son has a breaded chicken sandwich. Enjoyed some free food samples there too.

Am going to watch the Masked Singer now.

Have you got any darts or F1 to watch this weekend?

Baz

hope you slept well last night. I enjoyed watching our weekend tv wedding show tonight.

I did get in the garden, forecast said rain by 3pm here as well yesterday so got out earlier, just wanted to feed the Fig trees, so gave them garden lime and some feed.

I've got a wash load in the machine, then will put in dryer for an hour, will put the dishwasher on tonight, usual sunday wash.

Not sure how things are with the left kidney, will talk to consultant, i relly need to get that sorted soon after nthe right kidney, if that goes well.

Not keen on traveling with kidney stone problems hanging over me as i wont ne able to get insurance as last time because i was waiting for a procedure it cancelled out any insurance, because its classed as existing conditions which arent insured.

I like a cooked chicken, its just the way they are done and basted, they arent very cheap though.

I had darts to watch Thursday, the Premier League is on every Thursday, some matches arent on TV, they are on PDCTV not norml tv, F1 starts 1st March.

Osteo arthritis is better than Rhumatoid, that is dreadful, Mrs H had that, so painful and  her finger joints all got deformed.

Hope Baz had a good night.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Bad night , and not feeling great today ….so a grumpy Baz …..and no walk …except to the shop at the top of the road for a pint of milk . Consequently I have spent the day doing the duvet shuffle , two loads of washing , and hoovered . Aside from that I’ve done nowt . I hope everyone else is having a better Sunday than me.

Mollie , I hope you are having a good day. I enjoyed the wedding yesterday too….and am looking forward to DOI tonight lOsteoarthritis is a bummer ….i think that might be what my hip is ….but as Hicky says, while it is extremely painful ,  it’s not quite as bad as rheumatoid arthritis.. I have two friends with that …one an ex forum me member ….and it is really debilitating. Hicky , good news about your kidney appointment….you've waited long enough ! Glad you managed to get out in the garden ….I did a bit more yesterday too. Sounds like you have a full sports viewing lined up .

Well it’s a full evening viewing for me …DOI , Pottery , and a nature programme we’ve recorded . I hope you both have a good evening . Take care .

Baz

Good Afternoon Mollie & Baz.

Sorry you had a bad night and day not too good Baz.

I went to the garage to get a few bits from the freezer, brought a seeded bloomer, beef meatballs and a bag of pasties, going to have some meatballs and make some butter mash for tea, with gravy of course, going to make cheese on toast for my 2pm snack, had frosties for brekkie with some coconut milk and oat milk, so tasty.

I didnt have an Iceland order saturday as i had plenty of items in stock, will get a delivery this week, might try a different day and time to see if i can get more items delivered.

I enjoyed watching my recording of the masked singer, they are so good, and the singing voices, wow, 1st class.

My clothes wash and dry was a success. and all put away, and the dishwasher was good and all put away.

Hope Mollie has had a good night and day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Very windy here today , but dry , so far ! Not a great night , but I did manage to go for a walk first thing ….which woke me up a bit .The bin men arrived mid morning , so I’ve rescued the bin , fed the wildlife, cleaned the kitchen , dusted, popped up the local shop,  and done a load of washing , so not a totally wasted day chez Baz .I hope everyone else is having a nice Tuesday , whatever you are up to .

Mollie , DTI was fun yesterday , but looking forward to spending Dames money today .I hope your day is going well and that your arthritis has settled down a bit . Hicky , glad the washing and drying went well. I hope moving your Iceland delivery day does the trick . Have you tried ordering from Ocado ?

It’s gbm for me tonight ….Welsh region this week .Have a good evening both . Take care .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

I was going to have a wander around the garden but when i got to the nack door i noticed rain on the glass, had left it too late, forecast showed rain about 3pm but it had arrived earlier.

I rang the tree man to see why he hadnt been in touch, he had forgot and been so busy, he has a farm as far as i know, he has booked me in for 4th March.

My No.#3 son said he was going to pop over tomorrow, its 2 years today since Mrs H passed away, it doesnt seem that long but its not a date i could forget, 20.02.2022.

I havent tried Ocado, what i have noticed about all the supermarkets is, if the sales of an item dip then it is removed from the shelf, i noticed that many moons ago when shopping, when i couldnt find an item again and asked the staff, the same old answee, we no longer stock it, so it means we have to buy the items that are very popular, which means we might not get it as its popular, catch 22, so i have to either buy what the supermarket wants to get rid of, or what item the supermarket the supermarket makes the most oney on.

I see Ocado is 50/50 with M&S, i like M&S but not sure about having 2 delivery orders, the M&S i went to in Cornwall was the best supermarket i've ever seen, it sold everything foodwise imaginable.

Hope Mollie has had a good day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  πŸ₯°πŸ₯° Heavy rain overnight , but a couple of hours sunshine this morning , so I did get a long walk in ….but it’s raining again now ! πŸ™„The ground is really sodden ….huge puddles everywhere ….even on the path by the main road ! My back garden is flooded in places !😑😑Apart from the walk I’ve fed the wildlife , done a large load of washing , and cleaned the kitchen ….so not a very busy day .😁I hope everyone else is having a good Thursday , whatever you are up to .😁

Mollie , we’ve spoken ….but I’ll meet you outside the clothes shops at 5 .🀣🀣πŸ₯°πŸ₯°Hicky , awwww have a huge hug πŸ˜žπŸ€—πŸ€—It doesn’t get any easier , does it .Yes, Ocado does M&S , which is why I started having them during Covid , when I couldn’t get to the shop . I have two deliveries a week …one Ocado , one Sainsbury . I’ve not noticed either removing items …at least nothing that I buy .🀣πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

Well it’s a full evening viewing for me tonight …apart from teatime club , it’s GBM, Apprentice, and Botched .🀣🀣Have a good evening both, and look after yourselves .πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

Baz

Good afternoon Mollie & Baz.

Cant believe i've been on my own for 2 years now, wow.

I think we had some rain earlier but i havent been outside anyway, neighbour brought bin in after it was emptied.

No. #3 son did pop in yesterday, he did some vacuming, he's coming again Monday so thats nice, while he was here we dived intot the garage freezer to see what i had, found stuff i had forgotten i had bought, akways good to dive in.

I might see what stuff i can get from Ocado, they might be able to get what i cant from Iceland.

I have Darts tonight to watch, its from Newcastle tonight, night 4 of 17, its the same 8 players, they play till they have a final 2 which play at the end of the night, so 4 x 2 = 4 winners, then 2 x 2 = 2 winners, then 2 winners play = 1 winner, they play live from 7 till 11pm.

Going to try the Iceland delivery tomorrow, will see what delivery slots are available.

Hope Mollie has had a good day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Sunny , if chilly here today ….but at least it’s not raining! I had another crap night , but I did go for a walk first thing , which made me feel a bit better!  Aside from that I’ve fed the wildlife , done the duvet shuffle , changed the  sheets and pillowcases , done two loads of washing and some ironing . …so not a totally wasted Saturday . I hope everyone else is having a good day .

Mollie , I hope you’ve got your posh togs and hat ready for the wedding . How is your day going ? We  had some right twits in teatime club this week , didn’t we.    Good fun though , eh . Hicky , I know what you mean , I can’t believe I’ve been on my own for nearly 6 years either . Glad your son popped over , and found stuff you’d forgotten about in the freezer.I hope you do find some stuff on the Ocado site …at the very least it’s worth a look l

Not sure what we are watching this evening …Saturday tv is a bit poor …but sure we will find something .Have a good evening both , and look after yourselves .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Sorry you didnt have  a good night Baz, the tree man came yesterday morning at 10:30 am, got quite a shock as i wasnt expecting him for over a week yet, he sorted the trees out anyway.

I ordered an earlier Iceland delivery, i got the 10am to 12 slot to see how that would go, the only thing that didnt arrive was the 5 pack of cadbury creme eggs, out of stock.

Been chatting to No#5 son about Ocado as he gets most of his food from M&S, when he typed Sushi in the search box it came back with a list of 59 items, ao everything we typed in was there so will defo be sorting that out very soon.

Iceland didnt have the cooked whole chicken so i got 3 packs of cooked chicken thighs, had 3 for tea, love them cold, they were very nice, only small ones as they probably dont let the chickens get very big, they are probably male as they dont lay eggs so are no good and no point in keep feeding them.

Hope Mollie had a good day, i watched mainly recordings as dont really like the shows they put on.

Hicky

both x

Baz

sorry you had a bad night, hope it was better last night. I know its such a long night if you can't sleep.

I did enjoy our visit to the wedding. We are such gate crashers. We have certainly had a week of moaners at our Teatime club lately.

Hicky

Hope you can get them to get a move on sorting your kidney stones. As you say, you can't travel without the insurance being sorted.

That is good your tree man came and sorted the trees. You probably just managed to get him in before the busy spring time starts. We have ordered a slab patio and have been told there is already a 10 week wait to get it done! But at least we will have it in place before the start of summer.

Yes as Baz and I have been saying, Ocado is brilliant for choice and service. They even refund you the plastic bag charge if you give them back the following week. They often have special offers for new customers, so worth checking it out.

Aaaww 2 years on your own, its so sad. But glad to see your son popped in and helped you out a little.

Did you enjoy your darts?

Not had a good week. The old pain from my op came back, so that is why I haven't felt up to posting here. Have had to sit with my TENS machine and hot water bottle to help the pain. Think I pulled something pushing a trolley round Costco over a week ago. I usually push one for extra support but this one must have ended up being too heavy. Finally easing tonight.

We actually had a break from rain yesterday, so MrM did a lot in the garden. He is digging over some of the grass and doing a few steps too, so quite a big job. I had a little walk down seafront with family and bought some chips to eat on seafront, which was nice, as havent felt like cooking much this week.

My Ocado came this morning. They have a great choice in M and S hot cross buns if you get them Hicky. I got cheese ones and blueberry ones this week. My family like the salt and pepper chicken crown. It might not suit you though as you do have to cook it, but its easy as you just put the container in the oven and there is no waste.

They do sell a choice of ready cooked whole chickens too.

and MrM likes this salmon...

Dancing on Ice for me tonight.

Have a good evening both xxx
