Baz

sorry to hear you had a bad night but hope you slept better last night.

That is interesting that you have 2 Cyrils now. Do they come and feed at the same time?

Hope your fence continues to survive the windy winter weather. MrM had to hammer part of ours together in the hope it stays up, but he says part of it is going rotten.

Yes we did enjoy the panto thank you, it was very funny,  and it was at a perfect time (1pm) so suits me nicely to be home  before my evening arthritis aches take off.

That tv licence isn't cheap now. And not likely to get any cheaper as so many people dont pay it now. They just say they dont' watch the BBC and on one can prove it otherwise.

Hope you did find something enjoyable to watch. I am not keen on the tv show that are on right now. Seems to be only old films and the only one of those i like is the classic type old musicals.

The shoots on our bulbs are coming up too. So nice when you see the flowers start to come, knowing spring is just round the corner.

Hicky

Glad you have the darts to enjoy watching. I read that a 16 year old is doing really well in some sort of darts competition. Is that right?

Lots to do in our garden too, so hope we get some drier weather soon.

I enjoyed the Masked Singer last night. Those costumes are amazing. (and very expensive from what I have heard). Won't give it away in case you haven't seen it yet, but I was surprised at who went first. I did read that the one that went first might have only agreed to do it for one week in their contract, so it could have been agreed beforehand to vote this person off first.

Weather miserable here too. MrM has to try and quickly take puppy out inbetween the showers. We have bought her a new waterproof mac. It cost us Β£35 which is expensive for such a small mac. But the cheaper ones we tried were no good, and her fur under her belly (which is bright white and fluffy) was always getting wet and messy. This one does the job well though. It even has a little pocket and is reflective.

We are not going out this year for NYE. It so expensive. We use to go to a local pub for a meal and singers, with the rest of the family, but its Β£30 a head now, plus drinks when you get there. And I get too tired and achy so late at night in winter.

Will cook some party food for us to enjoy at home though.

Have a good day both xxx

M

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Happy New Year to you  both .

The London fireworks were pretty spectacular .I didn’t get to bed until nearly 1 o’clock because of the fireworks going off around here though ! I’ve been a busy Baz today though …..I went for a walk first thing cos it was sunny ….although it’s clouded over again now , and loads more rain due shortly ! Aside from that I’ve taken down the Xmas decorations , changed the sheets , done two loads of washing and ironing , cleaned the kitchen , put bin out ready for collection tomorrow , and fed the wildlife . I hope everyone else is having a nice Monday .

Mollie , I don’t blame you not going out …it’s so expensive these days. I hope your fence makes it through the next bout of bad weather they say is on the way over the next couple of days ! I’m looking forward to junior bake off starting tomorrow .Hicky , I hope you had a nice couple of days , and are enjoying the darts . That 16 year old showed them what’s what , eh l

Well it’s Bake Off and HGTV for me tonight …so that’s sorted . Enjoy the rest of NY day . Take care .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Yes, the 16 yr old is Luke Littler, fantastic, he is through to the quarter finals of the world darts, he beat the Irishman 4 sets to 1 this afternoon, they played over 20 games, he is so gppd to watch, he plays again tomorrow i think, today is day 14.

A new neighbour came round this morning and asked if i would like a Roast dinner bringing round, i said thank you yes it would be lovely, he came at about 4pm, there was enough for a few meals as i dont eat too much these days, will keep some for tomorrow.

I didnt stay up for the fireworks, it no longer excites me so i went to bed as the darts had a day off for NYE.

Storms last night stopped all the firework displays i read, heard a few wireworks local but not a lot.

I will wait for the weather to pick up before i see what can be donein the garden.

Happy Greetings Congrats: January 2017

Hope 2024 is kind to us all xxx

Baz

Seems ages since we had tea time club, so am looking forward to our new series starting with the cute kiddies today.

Sounds like you were busy yesterday.

We took our decorations down today. As mentioned to you, a lot of people are superstcious here so won't do their washing or cleaning on New Years Day. So I didn't either. (that superstition is a good excuse for a rest day).

I enjoyed watching the Annual New Years gala live from Vienna though, nice lively music and beatiful scenery and flowers on it. I watched it every New Years day.

Hicky

Fingers crossed the forecasters have it right and we are due a long stretch of dry weather in a few days, so you can get out in your garden. MrM is getting impatient too, to start some stuff in the garden.

Glad you have your darts to enjoy. Fancy a 16 year old being so good at it.

Aaaww that is so kind that a new neighbour was so thoughtful to bring you round a roast dinner. I bet you enjoyed it.

Little do they know, that they are likely to be well rewarded well via some of your excellent garden produce later in the year.

I went to bed before 12 on NYE too, as my knees get achy at night. There was quite a lot of fireworks here, and as the pup hates them, I did wonder if it would wake her. But not a peep after she had been put in her pen and cosy bed area, which she enjoys going into at night when she is tired. I am so glad she has always slept all night since the day we got her.

We went to Icleand today to stock up the freezer after Christmas. Bought mostly our fave Cathedral City items in the 3 for Β£10 offer. And I got some little apple pies and custard.

We then went out for lunch in the roadside diner. as MrM and son are off work. It was busy there today with families. We got 3 huge meals and a coffee for Β£20. So excellent value. I had cheese pie with carrots, peas and gravy, and the others had big cooked brekkies. Their brekkie comes with toast, fried bread and bread and butter, not to mention fried potatoes, black pudding, mushrooms, fried eggs, 3 bacon, 3 sausage, beans. A lot of lorry drives use the place at brekkie time.

Tidy up time now, before a bit of tv.

Have a good day both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Thanks for the New Year pic, thats a lovely one.

Yes, looks like some sun from Saturday for a week, that will be handy.

Yes, the 16 yr old is in the final of the darts tomorrow night, if he loses i think he will get Β£250k not a bad Christmas prezzie, winner will get Β£500k i think.

I havent been able to order the Sushi again, i got 3 each for 2 weeks but seen none since, strange, mind you i still have 3 or 4 in the garage.

That was nice getting those meals out.

Hope Baz has had a good night and day.

Hicky

Good Afternoon Mollie & Baz.

Got an Iceland delivery today, and managed to get 6 packs of the Sushi which i am very happy to get, i went back on and searched and it popped up, they obviously had a delivery.

I'm off to the eye clinic in a few minutes, have got Bloods tomorrow at the docs.

The 16yr old lost on the darts, he got Β£200k anyway, which means he got Β£20k an hour wages for getting in the final, he had 5 games @ about 2 hrs a match, so good money, but Luke Humphries got Β£500k for winning.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky   Well two teeth gone , and Β£400 lighter in my bank balance ! I had a better night....,not great, but defo better than the night before ! I’m not feeling brilliant , but not too bad …so I went for a short walk first thing ….it was  sunny , but very chilly . Aside from that I’ve not done a lot , just some washing , hoovering and fed the wildlife . I hope everyone else is enjoying their Thursday .

Mollie , I hope you are having a good day . I enjoyed the Traitors last night …I hope you did too . I will be back for teatime club today ….who went yesterday ? Hicky, shame the young darts player  couldn’t quite get it across the line last night , but he did very well for one so young . It was lovely of your neighbour to bring you a roast dinner .

Well it’s Secrets of the Safari Park and Traitors for me tonight . I hope you both have a good evening , and take care .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Oh dear, pity you had to lose teeth, so important really, but cant be helped, i was at the eye clinic today, no chabge so consultant said he would discharge me from the hospital as they cant help me.

I am at the docs tomorrow for bloods as they want to see how things are before they see me next week to check on the meds i am on.

I was so happy to get the Sushi on my order, it must depend on certain times of the day whether the stocks have been updated, i had an item one week shich it came up and said it was out of stock, i ignored it and a couple of days later and it was in stock so although it was still on the list it didnt say out of stock any longer, that saved me replacing it.

Oh, forgot to post this last night Thursday.

Hicky

Baz

hope the discomfort in your gums settle soon.

And at least with dry weather on the way (if the forecast is right), you should be able to get out for a walk.

Am enjoying Traitor. Its a mix of Survivor, BB and Squid Games (the reality one). Hope we don't end up with all the horrible ones and the nicer more interesting ones get voted out.

Am also really enjoying Bake Off Jnr. Harry Hill and the kiddies are so funny.

Hicky

At least you won't have to bother going to the eye clinic now your eyes have stabalised.

Hope the blood tests are ok.

Thats good you got your sushi. I noticed my last order had quite a few things unavailable. Maybe it was after Christmas and hopefully stock availability will settle now.

Even though he didn't win, that 16 year old must be some brilliant dart player. I heard another older player say he will need to do a lot of travelling now with tournaments being held all over the world. But sounds like he will be able to earn good money. Good for him.

How wonderful it was to see the sun at last after near constant rain for nearly 2 weeks. Although the air temperature was cool, it didn't feel cool in the sun. I had a full line of washing and it all dried well. We also went to Costco so I got my fave takeaway of jakcet potato and cheese and an ice cream with caramel sauce. The family like the chicken sandwiches. They are huge for the price. And the pup's fave is a costco cooked chicken. Its very tender.

I am done in now, so am looking forward to watching Traitors soon.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Afternoon Mollie and Sunny but very cold here today . Not a bad night , but I feel  nauseous and tired today….Im  guessing it’s the antibiotics kicking in ….so I’ve not done an awful lot today …and didn’t feel up to a walk again . But I have done the duvet shuffle , two loads of washing , fed the wildlife , and popped up to the shop at the top of my road . I think Cyril must have been on a promise yesterday cos he spent ages washing and preening himself …from the top of his head to  the tip of  his tail. I hope everyone else is enjoying their Saturday .

Mollie , I’m loving Traitors too…..I just hope the ginger gets found out soon ….he strikes me as a nasty guy ! I wonder what Ash will have to say about their treachery, if she survives ! Junior Bake Off is good , but I wish they would group together kids of a similar age , cos it’s a bit unfair on the youngest . Awww at the puppy and her Costco chicken .Hicky, good news from the eye clinic , and I hope the bloods went ok yesterday . Glad you got your sushi too.

No idea what we are watching this evening ….but I’m looking forward to the new series of Pottery tomorrow .Have a good evening both, stay warm , and look after yourselves .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Yes, the 16 yr old will be going to a lot of darts matches i imagine, a pity he has to pay tax and NI on the Β£200k winnings, think its 40% tax, but thats life i suppose.

I think the iceland out of stock problem may depend on the time and the day as new stocks are usually held i fridge freezers till the staff restock the shelves or whatever they are on as i often see items come back in stock before i finalise the order as i start the next order the day the order is delivered.

It was lovely and sunny here but so cold so i stayed in, the bloods went ok yesterday, got the taxi to wait which was easier than having to try and get one to come home, it actually worked out cheaper.

I miss going to Costco but its too far to go just to get a few bits, the Costco is in Liverpool so i would have to get a taxi to cross the river in the tunnel and pay that both ways as well as the normal fair, its not far just a lot of messing about.

Yes, i am expecting a letter from the eye clinic saying i have been discharged, the consultant was saying that one day hopefully they may be able to help the condition with stem cell surgery as at the moment there is nothing they can do for AMD (age Macula degeneration)

I had Sushi forn tea today, i have another pack in the kitchen freezer and 6 or more packs in the garage freezer.

Hicky

Baz

hope your mouth is feeling a bit better today, and your nausea settles. Such a nuisance when anitbiotics make you feel nauseaous.

Sounds like your Cyril should be looking very nice with all that cleaning. Is he still eating loads to stock up for winter?

Yes Traitors will be very interesting this week, especially if Ash doesn't go. And that Paul is proving to be the real villain in there. I didnt' like him from episode 1 when he announced that he was cruel!

I agree about Jnr Bake Off. I so wish they would match up the ages better. As we can see, there is a lot of difference between how a 9 year old and 12 year old copes with the competition! It was a shame to see we have already lost one of the youngest ones.

Hicky

Gosh didn't know that young dart player would have to pay tax on his winnings. Seems a bit tough when ordinary competion winnings are tax free. (and lot of MP's escape tax by registering businsses abroad.)

Glad to see you are enjoying your sushi. At least you are working out how their supplies work now.

That is good cheaper for the taxi to wait for you, especially as that is easist for you.

Wonder how long it will be till they can do stem cell surgery?

Very frosty here this morning. Can't complain as it's much better than all that rain we had recently.

Will peg a few washloads out again today, as it dried so nicely yesterday.

Pup on my lap now chewing a hard Himalayan cheese stick, which she really enjoys. Its supposed to be good for her teething, as its so hard. At least she keeps me nice and warm when she sits on my lap. Can't afford to have heating on very high, as our bill was messed up and we have a Β£700 debt for energy! But as it was their mistake. they said we could add it to the direct debit over the next 12 months.

Time to sort my washing out.

Have a good day both xxx

M

Good Afternoon Mollie & Baz.

I dont know much about winnings, i thought the tax was paid from the money before the winnings was given out, it musnt be the case, strange, that means the winner will pay Β£200k tax on his Β£500k win, that cant be right, its a joke.

I have just put my washing load into the dryer, i set the timer to an hour, that should do it.

I'm sure they do stem cell surgery all ready, i've seen it used by vets i'm sure, not sure about humans, we must be grown from stem cells as that must be the only thing that can grow into whateber it wants to become, the body is regrowing daily, otherwise we wouldnt be able to recover from an operation, or a cut or broken bone couldnt heal, our whole body is made of stam cells of sorts i suppose.

Very sunny and cold here, frost on house roofs etc, not going out today.

I wonder why Iceland dont have Ribeye or Fillet steak, they have many other like Rump and Sirloin but they can be pretty rubbish, well they seem to be if i get them.

Hope you are feeling a lot better Baz, i'm at the dentist Wednesday to see about the small filling that came out.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  I hope everyone is having a good day . I didn’t have a bad night , so I went for a walk first thing . It wasn’t as sunny as yesterday , but at least it was dry….although the ground is still quite waterlogged ! Aside from that I’ve done some washing , dusted , put bin out ready for collection tomorrow , fed the wildlife ,  cleaned kitchen and bathroom .  I don’t think the Cyril that turned up this morning is the usual one cos he didn’t seem to know the route down the trellis ….it was hilarious watching him try to negotiate it .

Mollie , Pottery was good yesterday , eh.I don’t like Paul on Traitors either …I hope he gets sussed soon. Lol at the puppy , but OMG at the energy mix up ….I’m glad they are at least letting you spread the cost , but even so .Hicky , wow , so that’s nearly 50% tax they have to pay on their winnings .Hope your trip to the dentist is less traumatic than mine was .How are your sons doing?

Well it’s Junior Bake Off, and an HGTV night for me today .Have a good evening both , and take care .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Cold & dey today, didnt go out at all, ordered a kitchen tool to slice my hard cheese, it says it will slice thin slices, i find it pretty hard to do, my eyes not so good so cant get an even thickness to put on my cheese on toast, its not a big problem but for Β£6 its worth trying.

Glad you got a walk in Baz, my lad with the bad knee had an op to tidy it up and remove some scar tissue, just hoping it will be less painfull when it heals again, it was done using keyhole surgery.

The one in the Philipines lost internet when rats chewed through cables.

Hope Mollie had a good day.

Hicky

Baz

glad you didn't have a bad night. Hope it continues.

And hope your sore mouth is improving well now.

lol at your new Cyril trying to find his way around

Yes Paul is not nice on Traitors. I was surprised how Brian was the only one to suspect him the others all seem to think he is great. (unfortunately).

Hicky

don't blame you staying in today, it was very cold.

It has started snowing a little here now. Wonder how long it will last?

Hope your lads knee heals well and is not too painfull for him. I know he had so many problems last time.

That will be handy if that gadget helps you slice your cheese.

that isn't good if rats have chewed through their internet cables. Horrible things they are. Has he got it fixed now? He will be lost without it.

The good thing about the dry weather is my washing has been drying well on the washing line. Hope the dry weather continues.

Goodnight both xxx

Afternoon Darnies Cold, damp ,  and overcast today , but I did manage a short walk first thing . Apart from that I’ve not done a lot ….just some washing, cleaned bathroom , kitchen,  and hoovering . My Cyril is back , obviously busy yesterday .I hope you are both having a good Wednesday .

Mollie , I’m looking forward to Traitors tonight , and I’m hoping some of the others start to suspect Paul soon ! I’m enjoying Junior Bake Off too ….nice bunch of kids . No snow up here yet .Hicky , I hope the operation has helped your sons knee .And yuk at the rats . I hope your new cheese slicer does the trick .

Well it’s a full evenings viewing again .Take care of yourselves , and have a good evening .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

My lad inthe Philippines has had his wifes family staying with them for a week, he said we could have a vid call tomorrow.

His ducks used to wander across into a property next door then come back later but the other day 3 stray dogs chased the ducks back into his garden and killed 5 ducks, they broke through a wire mash fence to get in after the ducks.

I had a filling yesterday at the dentist, was at the docs this morning, all good no problems, he did an mot on me, all passed, then at 4:30 had the podietrist, she sorted an infection out on a big toe.

It will take a bit of time for the swelling to go down on my lads knee, this has been going on for a few years now so he has the patience to wait and exersize the knee.

I'm not sure how to use the cheese slicer, it seems that the cheese needs to be held firm but all my worktops and loose boards havent got an edge, the slicer is similar to a wood working plane. i manages a few slices the other day by holding the cheese and pushing it across the slicer blade, but its no designed for that, it needs a little thought on how to hold the cheese, unless i lay the cheese flat and see if that will stop it slipping.

Hicky

Baz

glad to see your pal Cyril is back again. He is not daft, he knows he gets well fed round your place.

Traitors was brilliant, as you hoped, some are cottoning onto Paul, at last. He is definately the villain of the series.

And I agree Bake Off kiddies are so nice, it makes it such a nice series.

Hope your mouth is a lot better now. I bet it feels strange getting use to the missing teeth.

Hope Hicky had a good day and his cheese grater is proving a success.

Another lovely sunny day here today. I so like this dry winter weather. Been washing like mad as it is drying so well on the line.

We have been getting quotes in to do the decking. Getting 3 in all.

The drains played up again, despite MrM continually cleaning it with a rod and caustic soda. In the end he lost the end of the rod down the drain   and so we decided it was time to call the professionals out again.  Could have done without the extra expense so soon after Christmas. This time he did use the camera, they found the lost bit of the rod straight away. He had to put the camera a long way along the drains to the main drain on the main road. Turns out the problem was not even our drain. It was the house next door but one. The house has been empty since September and the drain was full of gunge and we are at far end of a shared driveway, so it was blocking our drains. Damn nuisance that we were stuck paying for it! Should have been Β£300 for 2 call outs but they knocked Β£50 off as it was not solved by clearing our drain the first time.

Hope this nice dry weather continues. We deserve it after all the rain we had in December.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Good Afternoon Mollie * Baz.

Thats the problem with drain rods, the fixings, pity they dont lock in, with them being just screwed in if you turn the rods the wrong way it ubscrews the end or anywhere on its length, i had it happen to me once.

I havent tried the cheese scraper again yet, will probably try again tomorrow, as long as i can stop the block of cheese sliding it will be fine.

I have ordered another 2 pill boxes as i have decided to do the 4 weeks, that should make life easier.

The doc on Thursday checked my meds, he moved one tablet from evening to 2pm. it was 1 of 2 a day i take to get rid of water, but with taking one at night he said it was causing me to go to the loo in the night, i didnt go last night, wow, it felt strange but that was ok.

Hope Baz had a good night and morning.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Cold and overcast here today . I had a bad night , so no walk …except up the local shop . Instead I’ve stripped the bed , done two large loads of washing , ironed , cleaned kitchen and fed wildlife . ..although not seen Cyril today . I hope everyone else is having a more exciting day than me .

Mollie ,sorry to hear the drain has been playing up again …and has cost you so much money …….and even more  annoying that it’s not actually your drain ! But hopefully it’s sorted now .Traitors is certainly interesting , although if they don’t control on to Paul soon my tv might be in danger ! I hope Tilly and Harry make it through to the final next week. Hicky, glad the doc sorted your meds out , and that the change in times has helped things .Have you tried the cheese slicer yet ? Did it do the trick ?

Well it’s Traitors and JBO again for me tonight .Have a good evening both , and take things easy .

Baz

Baz

sorry you had a bad night. Hope you can sleep better tonight.

Sounds like Cyril is having a rest day after eating so much food over at your place.

Yes Traitors is really good, but so frustrating how none of them have cottoned onto what a villain that Paul is

Well done to Tilly making it through tonight. Shame about Harry though. Poor little fella was so disappointed too.

Hicky

You were busy with the docs, dentist and podiatrist all in 1 day. But that is good it all went well and the doc managed to alter your meds, so you get to sleep through at nights again.

Yes those drain rods are not well made for what you need to use them for. MrM said the professional's one had a nut and screw, so would have been more secure.

How did the video call go? And did you get to speak to the 2 little mischiefs?   How awful stray dogs killed some of their ducks.

Looks like you will be able to sort out using that cheese slicer.

Not a bad day today, cool but dry.

Went to friend's house and MrM set up her firestick for her. He set ours up a few days ago, so at least he knew how to do it. Do you have one Hicky? Very usefull for easy access to different tv channels. My friend liked the way you can change the channels and find the tv shows and films by talking into the remote.

Then took pup a little walk on seafront. She loves it there with the different smells of the sea and people/dogs walking around. It was very quiet there today, as it was school time and a bit too cold for elderly people to go.

Looking forward to Traitors tonight.

What are you watching Hicky? Any darts or F1 for you this weekend?

MrM will go to local pub to watch football Sunday afternoon, as we cancelled the sport subsciption as it became so expensive. Its cheaper for him to buy a drink and watch in pub for free.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

I tried the new cheese slicer, put the cheese on a non slip heatproof mat thingi, it makes different thickness slices depending on the angle you start at, i put the whole xheese slab down and it cuts a 5cm slice, i made a cheese on toast today to try it out, the cheese was 15cm long so that was the size od the slice.

Sorry you had a bad night Baz, that will mess your day up.

Yes Mollie, havent got up in the night since i altered the meds, such a simple thing, but noone told me and have been on them a long time.

I never got a vid call from the Philippines, not sure why yet.

I dont have a firestick, i am on BT TV, i think its EE now, everything keeps changing no not sure whats what,

There is darts on, but i cant find a channel where it is live, i can find repeats of games i've already seen.

There is an F1 channel, but its just 2023 repeats at the moment till the new season starts.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky   I was poorly yesterday , but I feel a bit better today , so managed to walk to the postbox and posted a card . Overcast , with sunny intervals here , but snow forecast for midweek. Apart from that I’ve  not really done a lot ….just some washing , cleaned the kitchen , and restocked Cyril’s larder ! I hope everyone else is enjoying their Sunday , whatever you are up to .

Mollie , yes, I was sad to see Harry go too, bless him .I don’t reckon it will be long before they cotton on to Paul ….or at least I hope it won’t ! What’s a fire stick ?Awww glad the pup likes her walks by the sea. I’m looking forward to doi and pottery tonight lHicky, glad you sorted your cheese slicer out .Are you not watching the snooker ? I hope you’ve had your phillipines phone call by now .

Well it’s a full evenings viewing for me tonight .I hope you both had a good evening , whatever you are watching .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Sprry to hear you were poorly yesterday Baz, hope you are feeling better now.

Sleet forecast here thu & fri, we dont get much snow here anyway.

Not heard from Son in Philippines so not sure why.

Just emptied the dishwasher, always filled and emptied Sunday night, i put most away except the items i use every day like a few plates and cutlery, i wash after use so i can use again, all the work surface cutting boards go in the dishwasher as well, i have cleaned the Induction hob with the elbow degreaser cleaner.

I dont watch snooker these days, i used to many years ago, but with so many channels and recordings i find it boring now.

I have recorded DOI as i dont like to watch series shows live, if its a recording it means i am in charge not the channel showing it.

Hope Mollie had a good day.

Hicky

Afternoon  Mollie and Hicky  Snowy this morning ….although it’s all melted now ….but I had a reasonable night , and didn’t feel too bad when I woke up , so I went for a short walk first thing , and it was nice to get a bit of fresh air …albeit very cold air .Aside from that , I’ve changed the sheets, done a load of washing and ironing , dusted , rescued the bin, and fed the wildlife ….so definitely a more productive day than yesterday .I hope everyone else is having a nice Tuesday .

Mollie , I hope your day is going well . Have you got any snow down there ? I was sorry to see Esme go yesterday . Still Emily and Rudy are still there . Can’t wait to see who actually went on Traitors tomorrow .Hicky , I’d always wanted a dishwasher …but Sod’s Law, when we had the money , we never had the room . I hope you enjoy doi when you watch it .i wonder why you’ve not heard from your son .

Well it’s Ben Fogle and First Dates for me tonight. Have a good evening both, and take care .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Glaf you had a better night Baz, i got up once in the night as i fancied a mouthful of fresh orange.

It was white here this morning, front, back and sides of the building, some slowly melted with the sun, but may get more tonight.

I have arranged for the boiler to have its annual test, i rang Iceland as one of the 2 Avocados in a pack was bad, well i assume it was bad, it almost fell to bits and looked dreadful inside, i ate a bit but it didnt taste right, its hard when you are colourblind as i couldnt tell if it was moldy, i opened the 2nd one and that was fine so rang Iceland, they are going to refund them for me, i have another 2 packs yet so hope they are ok, i usually have 1 fruit a day.

I have always had a dishwasher so would be lost without it, i only use it once a week, if we didnt have the utility extension we wouldnt have room, the same in my last house, that had a built on extension so the kitchen was massive.

I have turned the heating control to manual and set the temperature to 22c, i'll try that, will turn it back to auto later at 10:30 but can set it again tomorrow when i get up, i've turned the radiator in the kitchen off, dont really need heat there anyway, dont spend much time in the kitchen.

I bought the extra tablet boxes so on Sunday i filled them with 4 weeks meds, wow, it took a while as it needed 252 tablets, 9 a day over 3 periods for 4 x 7 days, but it will save me doing them every night for 28 days.

Hope Mollie had a good day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Sunny , but chilly here today ….but I slept ok , so I went for a walk first thing . I’ve done a load of washing , hoovered up and down , cleaned bathroom , and fed the wildlife , but not much else …so a lazy day chez Baz .I hope everyone else is having a more productive Thursday  than me .

Mollie , I hope the day is going well . How are your drains now ? I was sorry to see Rudy go yesterday ….i just hope Tilly can make it through to the finals tomorrow . 🀞🏻Traitor Paul is  making my blood boil ….i just hope Harry can beat him ! Hicky, glad Iceland refunded you for the avocado. I always work my manually heating from the thermostat ….never use the timers ….and just adjust the temperature depending on the weather .  I’m guessing they will be coming to do my annual boiler check soon too. Have you heard from your Phillipines son yet ?

It’s Secrets of the Safari Park and Traitors for me tonight . I hope you both have a good evening , and look after yourselves .

Baz

Evening Molly & Baz.

Snow on the ground again, and binnies havent been, Had a vid from the Philippines this morning, of the kids.

Havent been out as decking covered in snow, but i have enough food indoors for a while.

I am making a cotton cover for the Induction hob to see if it can keep it clean of spilled food or oil, i have it covered in kitchen towel which works fine but i also want to put the ring marking on the white cotton so i can see where the induction rings are, worth a try, i just have to cut out the small area of the touch control 8 buttons section.

Just watching Battlebots recordings but have hundreds of recordings if needed.

Hopw Mollie has had a good day.

glad you got out for your walk today. I know its cold, but like all of us, I much prefer it to the wind and rain they are predicting by the weekend!

Fingers crossed the drains are working ok at the moment, hope it continues.

How brilliaint Tilly is through to the final, such a lovely kind little girl, she has improved so much during the show too, yet is never big headed. I would love to see her win but the competition is strong with you know who! Yes shame Rudy went, he was so cute and shame the charmer Grace went today today.

Like you, I am so enjoying Traitors. So dramatic last night, they must have spent a fortune on the funeral props and the horses too!  Yes about time someone called out that horrid Paul, let's hope his time is up soon.

Hicky

We too recently had our boiler serviced. As it is quite old, we thought it was worth spending the Β£66.

When is yours being done?

Hope the rest of your advocados were ok, that is horrible if you take a mouthfull of something and its stale.

Gosh we too would be lost without the dishwasher, We use it every  day and if we have Sunday dinner twice a day. And my washing machine seems to be constantly on. Its been great the last week though as it has dried really well on the washing line and a quick hang on the airer when it comes in and its been perfectly dry the next morning.

not suprised it took you awhile to file 252 tablets. It must be so hard to remember what to take next.

But its good the new tablets have solved your night time problem, shame no one told you about this earlier though.

Went to Costco today. Always tires me out as its a big place to walk round. Plenty of free food samples and I got my fave jacket potato with cheese and a caramel ice cream to take out, which was nice.

Very frosty this morning but unfortunately we have had no snow. Can't complain though as it was sunny with blue skies all day.

Looking forward to Traitors tonight.

Me and mrM are enjoying it so much, we have started watching the 1st series on iplayer. Think you would enjoy it too Baz.

Have a good evening both xxx

Evening Mollie & Baz

The boiler service is Wednesday, the binnies didnt come for the household rubbish but at least they emptied the garden bin

Just wathed Luke Littler, he's playing in the world series of darts and got a 9 darter on his 1st game, he is through to the next leg, i am always looking for the darts, no wonder i couldnt find this lot, with it being in Bahrain so its not live and it was on 4 - 8pm on ITV4, missed them yesterday.

I've had 2 more Avocado's and they were ok, hope the last 2 are, i cant see if its bad but i can see its not as it should be.

Yes, its a lot easier now with the tablets, i used to put them out each night in 3 small screw containers, morning afternoon and night, 4, 2, 3 but now i will do them all at once on the sunday of the last week, will do the 28 days.

The snow has gone from the road but i still have quite a bit in the back garden.

Hope Baz had a good night and day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Weather is ramping here now…the rain has just started .I have done all I can in the garden to make things safe  , so it’s in the lap of the gods now .🀞🏻I hope everyone else stays safe .Ive not done a lot today ….although I did pop up the local shop….just cleaned the kitchen and a load of washing ….so it’s a lazy Sunday  chez Baz .

Mollie , I hope everyone is ok down there …I think you are getting the worst of it .Wasnt it great that Tilly won …..what a lovely young lady she was .Im looking forward to the Traitors final this week .We will have to find something else for teatime club though .Hicky, I hope it’s not too wild over there too.Glad the avocados were ok the second time around .Glad the new pill dispenser is working well .

Well it’s DOI and Pottery for me tonight .Have a good evening , and take care of yourselves .

Baz

Baz

yes stormy yet again. Hope our wobbly garden fences stay up!

I agree, it was lovely to see cute kind Tilly take the win. And Traitors is just brilliant

Oh yes Tea Time club will need reviewing tomorrow.

Hicky

that interesting you saw Luke playing so well again. Wonder how much money he will make this year?

That is good you are finding the tablets easier as it is important you don't confuse the doses.

Hope this wind dies down soon. Wish we could get that nice cold sunny weather back we had last week.

Didn't do much today other than washing, cleaning, cooking Sunday dinner. One son has been at a film festival all day, which I am sure he will enjoy.

Time for a bit of tv before bed.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Wild here, winds are off the scale, hate to think what is going on outside in the back, wont be going out to see till things calm down.

Been watching the indoor bowls for a few afternoons, they are so clever.

Finished the Avocado off now, not sure whether to get them again as some may be old, a bit like when you order plants online, they always send a few good ones and mix rubbish in with them, so always go to a garden centre if you want plants then you can pick the best for yourself.

Yes, very pleased with the pill dispenser, saves a lot of work evey night.

A lot of the dart players make an awful lot of money, of course it depends how far through the tournament you get, but some make over Β£300k

I've just had the dishwasher on, just got to put it all away now.

I have mastered the cheese slicer now, used it to make a cheese and onion omelette for brekkie.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Rained all day here , and the wind is starting to get up  again !But it doesn’t look like it will be as bad as the last storm….fingers crossed ! Consequently, I’ve not had a walk today . Instead I’ve changed the sheets , washed, ironed , cleaned the kitchen , rescued the bin , and restocked the wildlife . I hope everyone else is having a more exciting day than me .

Mollie , hope your fence stays up in todays storm !You didn’t miss much with DD yesterday ….the picker was horrible ! I’m looking forward to some Bargain Brits tonight ..so I hope you can make 5 o’clock .Hicky, I hope you came through Sundays storm unscathed ….it certainly was horrendous . I watched a couple of the bowls matches , and it amazes me how they direct the bowl to the puck  .Are you still sleeping through the night ?

Well it’s the start of a new run of Great British Menu at 8 for the next three days , so that’s part of my viewing sorted .I hope you both have a good evening , and stay safe in the storm .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Mighty windy and wet here, had to put my hat with ear muffs on and a coat to unlock the gate and put the recycle stuff out and a rubbish bad.

A shame you couldnt get a walk in, it will soon be back to normal without the storms.

How on earth they get the bowl so close from 29 metres is a miracle, so clever and acurate.

I've got the gas boiler service tomorrow so have cleared the way for that, the boiler is in a cupboard in the utility part of the kitchen.

I record bargain brits, have always watched that, just so good., my brother lives in spain, dont think he is well at the mo.

Yes, dont get up in the night for a wee, i toss and turn as i get too how, i have a bottle of water on the bedside table though.

Hope Mollie has had a good day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Overcast and drizzly  here today …but I did manage a walk first thing . Apart from that I’ve not done a lot , just cleaned the kitchen , washed and done some general tidying up . Cyril came a visiting , so I had to restock the wildlife food !I hope everyone else is enjoying their Thursday .

Mollie , I didn’t really enjoy Traitors last night …I don’t know why ….but I did enjoy teatime club. I hope your day is going well ….and you are behaving yourself .Ill see you at 5 for Bargain Brits .Hicky , it was wet and wild here the other night too ….but luckily my fences survived in one piece . I hope the gas service went well …my boiler is in the garage .. Im  sorry that your brother in Spain is poorly . Re the bowls , its amazing how they seem to aim the bowl to do a massive curve , eh .

Well it’s gbm and Traitors for me tonight …so easy viewing .Have a good evening both , and take care of yourselves .

Baz

Good afternoon Mollie & Baz.

Weather ok today, havent n=been out though, not enough sun and had a little rain it seems.

The boiler passed the test, the servive charge is Β£70 inc vat which is fine really.

I have noticed my eyes playing tricks again, but this time its with colour, i have noticed all the colour on the tv and computer, but if its a small area and i look direct at it i see no colour but if i look to the side i can then see the colour, not sure what is going on and why that is.

Hope Mollie has had a good day.

Hicky

Baz

Glad you managed a walk and fed Cyril well again.

I know what you mean, I have loved Tea Time club this week, but Traitors not so good. They left us on a cliff hanger expecting a big revenge story form Ross, kept us waiting for nearly a week to see it, then left us disappointed as it all fell flat so quickly. Hopefully tonight will be better. But I do know Tea Time club Bargain Brits was really good again. We were kept busy seeing magiciain/escapologist, going shopping with the 2 eccentric laides, and had to work quick to hide from the weight watching clubbers today.

Hicky

That is good your boiler passed its test.

Rain here too today, on and off but forecast says sun all day tomorrow. Hope they are right.

That does sound odd about the colours in your eyes. Do you think its your brain adjusting to change again?

Glad you mastered the cheese slicer. Handy for your cheese on toast.

Seem to have been so busy this week, washing, cooking, cleaning, playing with pup, endless paperwork and been out for brekkie with friend and out with family for a Β£5 January sale meal with the family at local pub.

Didn't get back from Lidl till 8.15pm tonight, so stocked up again.

Time to watch Traitors now.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Yes, so strange about my eyes, no idea how i can see so many more colours now after so many years, i had just noticed that i could see the tv in colour, never really noticed that before, i will have to see if it helps at all reading the labels on packets and tins of food, but its sure interesting watching tv.

Yes, pleased the boiler test was ok, hope it stays like that.

My No, 3 son called in and run the cleaner over the floor then the steam cleaner over as well, they are off for a 4 night holiday in a few days but he will come when he's back.

Luke Littler is playing darts tonight on ITV4, games started at 6pm, he is game 6 i think, we are on game 3 or 4 at the mo.

Hope Baz had a good night and day.

Hicky
