Baz

thats good you got a bit of a walk in today, so hope it helps you sleep better tonight.

Yes I am really enjoying our Seasonal Tea Time club this week.

I agree that Nick is nice, but wonder if he is getting enough air time to go far. Think Tony might win as he has such a good sense of humour.

Hicky

Your gardener does like his holidays, so hope he can fit you in next week.

That is a good idea to warm coissants in the air fryer. Bet they are yummy.

I know what you mean about needing to work your way through the freezer, we need to as well before we get our party food.

You are right the knee is a complicated joint. How is your son's now? Has it settled down after all the treatment he had?

And how are the family in Phillipines now?

I have my heating set on 11-12C overnight and thought that was warm as we dont switch it off.

None of us feel cold overnight though. I have my warm teddy bedding and the lads never feel cold, ,they even still have thin summer quilts on. We turn it up now and again to 15c when we are home. The warm soft white fluffy pup sitting on my lap in the day is like my hot water bottle bottle.

Went to Harvester for brekkie again with friend and her grandson, which was a nice treat

Have a good night both xxx

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°It was dry here first thing , but by the time my delivery arrived it was darn well raining , so no walk today ! Consequently, it’s been a very lazy day here ….all I’ve done is some washing , hoovered , emptied bins and fed wildlife ….and my Cyril is back feeding his face on more fat balls .I hope everyone else is enjoying their Friday .

Mollie, I’m enjoying teatime club too ….like you say , very seasonal . I’m looking forward to Junior Bake Off in the New Year too . I keep my heating on about 20c /21c cos I do feel the cold .I don’t like Tony , but think he might win .Hicky , my gardener did the last lawn cut a couple of weeks ago , and won’t be back until the end of January / beginning of February . Are you going to your sons for Xmas day ? The croissants sound yummy .

Well it’s the MC final , Celeb , and GB for me tonight .Hope you both have a good evening . Take care .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Yes, to cut the croussants open before warming in the air fryer crisps them up rather nice, and with butter and jam, wow, so enjoyable.

The gardener was in another country last weekend, they just seem to go to every country there is, good on him, would leve to do the same, i have been to rather a lot myself but nowhere near as many as the gardener, he does 1 or 2 cruises a year so you can imagine the amount of countries they visit.

My lad has another knee examination in the new year, with a different surgeon, think some keyhole surgery and scans.

Havent heard from the Philipines this week, not since Monday anyway.

My heating at the mo never goes below 19, well its on a differential so it probably kicks in again if it drops to 18 overnight, but it changes for the day settings, if i was going to be away for a period of time i would change it to manual and i have that set at 18c, you should never turn the heating off in the winter as it would take so long to reheat as its not just the air that needs to be heated but everything in the rooms as well, similar to heating the contents of a pan, the water etc will never reach boiling point untill everything inside the pan is at the same temperature.

No Baz, we are going out for ameal, an Indian meal at a local restaurant, he booked it last month, i'm happy to go anywhere, its just a meal to me.

Got a Birthday gift from SIL & hubby, 2 packs of New Berry Fruits, so nice, but i only have one a day at most.

Got another order from Iceland due tomorrow, nice.

Have a lovely weekend both.

Baz

shame you missed out on your walk due to rain. We are getting a lot of rain here lately too. (puppy does not approve!).

Yes Tea Time Club has been so nice this last week, looking forward to more next week and Junior Bake off next month.

I don't think Tony will win IAC, but not long to find out now. Wonder if it will be Sam as the youngsters will probably like him.

Hicky

I will give your coussant idea a go, sounds yummy.

That's nice for your gardener to be able to get abroad during the quieter winter time, as sounds like he works hard.

Those Newberry Fruits are lovely. Nice of your SIL to send you some.

Glad to see you are booked up with your family to go out for a meal over Christmas.

We are cooking at home, but might buy a few cheats from M and S to help do the meal hastle free.

Haven't been far this weekend as it has been too wet. Puppy only going for short walks with MrM. We have bought her a mac to try and keep her fur dry as its horrible when she comes back wet. Easier than using the hair dryer on her.

Enjoyed Survivor last night. Will miss having that to watch at weekends when it finishes.

Have a good Sunday both xxx

M

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Sunshine and showers here today …but I managed to get a walk in …and posted the last of my Xmas cards ….except for my grandkids ones …and they need vouchers in , so… Aside from that I’ve done some washing and general tidying up . It must have been really windy last night cos there were twigs etc all over the patio…..and one of the bird feeders( the one I keep under the trees/bushes  for the small birds ….away from the pigeons , magpies etc )   had blown down and broken …so I’ve had to order a new one ! I hope everyone else is enjoying their Sunday , whatever you are up to.

Mollie , Dolly is sooooo cute .I hope your weekend is going well . Looking forward to Survivor tonight ….and there is a Xmas Sewing Bee on at 8 o’clock on Tuesday , if you want to join us . I think it will be Tony that wins tonight .Hicky, it will be nice going out for an Indian meal lHicky, was it your birthday ?If so , belated happy birthday .

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Thank you for the Birthday wishes and picture, its not for a week yet, but thats not a problem. SIL sent prezzy early incase post gets overwhelmed towards Christmas.

Done my wash load, got it dried and put away, got to load the dishwasher and put that away later, i wash and dry the utensils and dishes as i use them but put all the used ones in the dishwasher every Sunday night so the week starts afresh again.

My lad & fam from Cornwall are down for a funeral Thursday so are popping in midday Friday to see me for my Birthday, he was due Sunday originally but that was before the funeral happened.

I could hear the winds last night as i have a vent in the wall to outside, i put mesh inside the vent cover to stop insects coming in but of course i can hear the wind and aeroplanes, but at least i get some fresh air into the bedroom.

Those Syrup Oats brekkie packs are so lovely, 10 packs per box from Iceland: Quaker Oat So Simple Golden Syrup Porridge Sachets 10x36g Β£3.50

Hicky

Trust Baz to try and get early entry to the birthday party (hoping to get 1st dibs at the champers again!)....

Baz

hope you got your walk in today. Its nice and dry here today, so I have my washing on the line. You have done well getting your cards all posted now.

Your prelit Christmas tree, looks lovely.

What sort of vouchers do you put in for your grandchildren? My son is into the online gaming Steam, so I know he always enjoys one of those

It was very windy here too last night. My MrM had to put the top back on the light in the driveway of the empty house next door but one to us. What a nuisance it had broken one of your bird feeders. We have a lot of leaves on our driveway that are a nuisance right now as they keep blowing into our hallway every time someone goes out. (which is frequent in our busy house).

Survivor was good this weekend. I will miss it when it ends. I have enjoyed it more than IAC, as I am fed up of the tasks now and Nella was so annoying. But the timing of Survivor on the weekend did mean I was able to fit it all in. Hopefully I will be able to join you for Sewing Bee on Tuesday.

Am looking forward to another week of Seasonal Enjoyment with Kirsty at Tea Time Club.

Hicky

That's nice you will get to see your son from Cornwall just before your birthday. Its quite a drive up to you from there now. But should be quieter this time of year than the summer months when everyone heads off to Cornwall.

That porridge sounds a bargain. Might give them a go myself.

Sounds like the whole country has been windy lately.

Thankfully its a lot calmer here today, bright and not so windy.

Have to go to asda later to collect some jumpers I have bought son for Christmas. Their prices are quite good for the lads clothes. Then will look at ordering some party treats from Iceland.

Time to get another washload out now.

Have a good day both xxx

M

Good afternoon Mollie & Baz.

Not much going on here, just waiting for delivery, had to order kitchen plate cleaning brush as the one i had dropped and the handle  broke off, i had mended it but it dropped into the sink and broke off again so ordered 2 more, only Β£8 for 2, they will do me, my replacement Ninja splash guard, have stored them as i managed to clean the one from the machine, it just clips in but hard to clean with it being 2 layers of very fine wire mesh, i was wondering if i could burn the hardened fat or whatever it is inbetween the 2 layers of mesh, this machine can produce a lot more heat than other air fryers, think it goes to 260c, will think about that.

Iceland have sent me a discount code for Β£1 off on an online order, it should have come weeks ago, no idea why it didnt, its good till the end of the month, but the other week i had a big order which doubt if i will have again just now.

It takes son quite some time to drive from Cornwall, he spots a couple of times on the way, he will have his Mrs and son with him anyway, he usually drives overnight as its pretty quiet then.

Hope Baz has had a good night and day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°I’ve been one busy bee today ….just as well I slept almost til the alarm for the first time in ages .🀣🀣So I’ve been to the postbox twice , ordered some more Xmas pressies , cleaned the bathroom and kitchen , rescued the bin, fed wildlife….my Cyril visited again 😁 ….and done a load of washing …..so all in all a productive day chez Baz .🀣🀣I hope everyone else is having a good Tuesday too.

Mollie , I usually send general gift cards , which cover loads of shops etc . I usually send them to my grandsons …..both of whom are in their 20s ….cos while it’s easy to send gifts to my granddaughters cos I know they love bath stuff etc …but I’m sure the boys wouldn’t appreciate nana choosing for them.I will enjoy Survivor as long as Tinuka doesn’t win See you for teatime club later .Hicky, lovely to see you son and his family  , and I hope he has a good journey up. Glad I was in time for your birthday .

Well it’s Teatime club and Sewing Bee for me tonight .I hope you both have a good evening …look after yourselves .

Baz

Afternoon  Mollie and Hick  Intermittent rain here today , but I did manage to pop to the local shop , and  a short walk in between showers …so I got some fresh air .Aside from that I’ve hoovered up and down , cleaned the kitchen and bathroom,  washed , emptied the bins, , and fed the wildlife ….so not a totally wasted day .I hope you are both having a nice Thursday .

Baz

Good Evening Mollie & Baz.

Not done a lot here, had the gardener yesterdy so manure down and leaves in raised beds.

My lad said we could go for brekkie and then to a garden centre for a look around, he's coming at about midday with his mrs and son so that will be nice.

Got another order for Iceland, think i'll add the discount code as cant see me getting much next week.

I get worn out just reading what you do in a day Baz.

Hope Mollie has had a good Thursday.

Hicky

Baz

glad you got out for a walk and I can see you have been as busy as ever round the house.

Good idea to send the grandsons tokens so they can choose what they want.

I enjoyed Sewing Bee the other night. And Christmas Dinner date has been good. Nice to watch some seasonal stuff for a change.

Hicky

hope you have a nice day with your son tomorrow. It will be a nice treat for you to go out to brekkie and round the garden centre. Let's hope the traffic isn't too bad for him when he does that long journey.

Guess you may as well use your discount code straight away, in case you forget it. I am still choosing what party treats to order.

Gosh your air fryer does have a high temperature. Ours only go up to 200C. But we havent' had a problem with that so far.

Went to Costco as soon as it opened today, as we guessed it would be busy later. Just managed to get round and grab what we wanted before the crowds hit. I got my fave take away, jacket potato and cheese.

Then wrapped some pressies up this afternoon.

A really nice day here today. My washing dried quite well in the sun, so only need to put it on the airer overnight and it will be dried nicely.

Went for lunch with my friend and her grandaughter on Tuesday at Toby carvary. She is only 11 months but was very good. She enjoyed a few veg, some macoroni cheese and her fave was the yorkshire puds. The bill was only Β£12.80 for the three of us.(we don't have the meat though).  The baby was free, they even gave her a plastic bowl and spoon.

Goodnight both  xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

My lad is already im Manchester, he came down yesterday for a funeral today, so he's only an hour away.

The discount was given me as one week i had a win on the weekly shop and spun a wheel, it came up and said it was money off, on the email it says Β£1 off, not sure what the Β£1 is off mind, we will see.

This Ninja Air Fryer has a removable grill / griddle plate as well as a removable container with hole for roasting and crisping, the base has a removable section also, it acts like a drips tray i suppose, and the element and fan unit has a removable splash guard to keep fat off the elements, its a super unit, i usually put food in a separate aly container, i keep various ones for that purpose and put foil and baking paper in them which get thrown when used, saves having to wash away oil or grease as i just throw the foil etc into the bin, wont put any fat down the drain.

Yes, the usual setting i use are 180 or 200c but the temperature comes up with a time when you selrvt the type of cooking, but its easy to alter the temperature or time, and of course for the grill or roasting it has a temperature probe that you can insert and set the internal temperature of what you are cooking.

A good idea to go early to Costco, no point in me going really as i only need food for 1 which isnt really the idea in Costco.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky Sunny , if chilly here today ….but at least it’s not raining .Not a bad night for me , so I went for a walk first thing and blew away some cobwebs .Aside from that I’ve done the duvet shuffle , two loads of washing , cleaned kitchen , dusted and fed wildlife .My Cyril was back this morning , burying more peanuts in my lawn . hope everyone else is enjoying their Saturday , whatever you are up to .

Mollie , yes, it was a fun weeks viewing ….and I’m looking forward to the Survivor final …..I just hope we get a decent result .I hope your day is going well …I’ve got to wrap my presents tomorrow …although there are many cos I sent most of them directly ….and I’ll see you at 6 o’clock .Hicky , I hope you had a lovely brekkie and a mooch around the garden centre with your son . You sound like you’re a ninja whizz .

Apart from Survivor I’m not sure what we are watching tonight….cos I’m not bothering watching the Strictly final cos it’s been such a fix this year….. but sure we will find something .Have a good one both….and take care .

Baz

Good afternoon Mollie & Baz.

Just lost a big post, took me half an hour, when i pressed Post Reply it said invalid page, no idea how it could be invalid as i always F5 to refresh when i p[en the tab to read posts.

Glad you had a good night Baz.

I got Sushi from Iceland delivery, also a beef joint for me to cook and slice up.

Going out for a Roast dinner tomorrow as another lad No.#3 son and gf is coming, had a great day yesterday with No.#5 son and fam, went for brekkie and to a garden centre for a wander around.

I've got Darts to watch for 18 days & nights, World Championships are on.

Hicky

Evening Mollie & Baz again.

I had one of those Sushi Luxury Packs earlier, oh wow, they are 10 piece packs, so nice.

And i have found a kitchen gadget than i think i can use to make Toasties, the one i was using is for 2 toasties, but its not very versatile to make 1 nice big toastie as it needed small pieces of bread, this gadget makes waffles, toasties and paninies, it has 6 removable plates for cleaning & nonstick dishwasher safe, the panini section is single plates so no restriction on bread size so worth a try, if its no good it can join the other list of devices in the garage.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Overcast here today ….and stormy weather due on Thursday . Not too bad a night , so went for a long walk first thing , and to the shop and post box ….so definitely got my steps in today . Aside from that I’ve not really done a lot , just some washing , hoovered and put the bin out for tomorrows collection . My Cyril has been  back and forth stuffing his face all day !I hope everyone else is enjoying their Monday .

Mollie , I hope you had a good weekend ….i was  chuffed with who won Survivor …but still can’t believe Lelani made it to the final three . I think we will have to do some programme juggling in teatime club this week .Hicky, awww glad you had a nice time with son number 5 , and hope you had a nice roast dinner with son number 3 yesterday .My son likes sushi …but it’s never appealed to me .How strange that you lost your long post …..I’ve never had that happen , but I have forgotten to press post before now .

Well I think it will be DD , and hgtv  for me tonight . Have a lovely evening both .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Glad your night was ok, and a walk thats good, i only went to the garage, my new gadget came, the Toasti / Panini maker, i am just going to see if it will make toasties, i oiled it and made dummy toasties as per instructions to clean out the work/heating surfaces, will try it in the morning.

Had another of those cheesy cottage pies, wow, they are sp good.

Yes, had 2 great outings for my birthday, happy about that, and a vid call from the Philippines with the children etc.

Going to cook my 1kg Prime Beef Joint in the air fryer tomorrow, it has a probe so i am going to set the internal temperature to 60c which is about medium, its only for slicing.

With losing so many posts in the past it was caused by the site asking about cookies, but it asked after you had typed the post so you couldnt copy the post as it was hidden beneath the cookie message, that hasnt appeared so maybe they corrected the bug, but i need to remember to copy the post before i hit post reply

Hope Mollie has had a good day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky   What a bliddy day chez Baz !😑🀣🀣First of I wasn’t feeling well in the night , then my washing wouldn’t balance properly and spin , then my bliddy credit card bill arrived !πŸ₯΄πŸ₯΄πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ€£Having said all that , I did manage a short walk first thing β€¦πŸ€£πŸ€£Apart from that , and two loads of washing , I’ve not done anything today .i hope everyone else is having a better day than me.🀣🀣🀣

Oh , and Cyril and I are going to fall out ,🀬🀬I saw him faffimg around by the hanging bird feeder , I couldn’t work out what he was doing  until I went out later and found the feeder on the floor , and the hook chewed through , making it unusually !🀬🀬🀬🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣

Mollie , I hope your day is going well , and that you’re not overdoing things . I’m Looking forward to Teatime Club tonight .Hicky, awww glad you enjoyed your birthday …you deserve to be spoilt . I always copy my long posts now too ….saves bliddy re typing them.

Well it’s DD , and Celeb MC for me tonight , so that’s my viewing sorted .Have a good one , and look after yourselves l

Baz

Good afternoon Mollie & Baz.

You have had a rather bad night and day, at least you got a walk in, yes, Cyril will do whatever it takes to steal food, they are very clever.

I have the credit card set up so the bank pays the bill off when its due so i pay very little interest.

I cooked the beef in the air fryer using the probe but it was still tough so am cooking it in some beef stock in a pan on the hob for 2 hours, cant stand tough beef as my teeth cant cope with chewing these days as the back ones dont do the job as the bottom ones that should pair up are gone.

I have the darts to watch anyway so thats a bonus.

I wonder why your washing wouldnt ballance and spin, how do you get around that problem, i've not had that, strange.

My lad brought me a big tub of Celebrations, they will last me a while.

Hope Mollie has had a good day.

Hicky

Baz

aaww Baz sorry you felt unwell overnight and then to add to it, the washing machine played up. Hope you have a better night tonight. Did you feel better in the day today?

Is your washing machine working ok now?

I am enjoying Tea Time club this week. We have certainly had a bit of variety.

Hicky

Oh dear, that is so annoying when you lose a post.

Glad you had a couple of outings for your birthday and a video call too.

So sorry I forgot to wish you a Happy Birtday on the day.

How nice that you got a roast one day and a brekkie out too. And I know you always enjoy a garden centre visit.

Those Celebrations tubs are nice. This year I got a Heroes one for a change.

Your toastie maker looked good and sounds handy with all the things you do with it.

I think the Pokemon I bought for my son only does basic toasties, but he won't mind, as he will get the Pokemon picture on his toastie each time

Hope you manage to cook your beef ok, so you can chew it.

Been so busy this week with Christmas preps, the puppy and our damn drain problem. We got blocked drains and MrM struggled to try and clear it (might be, as we are at the bottom end of a downward sloped driveway and there were loads of leaves). In the end, the only thing that cleared it was 2 caustic soda treatments. I had googled drain companies on the Monday and they couldn't come till Thursday, so it was lucky we managed to clear it.

Went out for lunch with my friend and another friend and her baby grandaughter on Tuesday. It is hard work entertaining an 11 month old whilst in a resteraunt, but she wasn't too bad. Only started crying after awhile as she needed a sleep, as there was so much for her to take in. And we enjoyed our lunch.

Today we took her 3 year old grandson for brekkie, and the Harvester got Father Christmas in especially for her Grandson. He loved it and the pressie he got.

Have also been trying to perfect my online shopping. Have slots booked for Ocado and Asda. Hopefully Ocado will have the important stuff as they usually dont miss stuff off the order, but last time I used Asda, they had a lot missing. I didn't think I had ordered much but the 2 shops still came to over Β£200! But it did include some sparkling wine and some beer for MrM.

I know Baz is getting her Christmas delivery from Ocado. Do you have a delivery this week Hicky?

Goodnight both xxx

M

Good afternoon Mollie & B\z.

I did another experiment with the Toastie maker, double buttered a thisk seeded round of bloomer, fried that in toastie maker then took out and put on a sheet of parchment, covered in slices of chedder then wrapped in the parchment and then in foild, returned to toastie maker for another 3 mins, removed and unwrapped, perfect, might have been easier in air fryer really, but i do love playing around.

The beef is fine now, sliced and divided it into 4 meals, have frozen 3 lots and will have 1 lot tonight, have got a tin of peas, a tin of spuds, some roasting spuds and will make gravy for a meal tonight.

I have an Iceland delivery for Saturday, getting 3 more Sushi packs if they have them in, and have ordered too many loaves by mistake, so might give 1 away or put in freezer.

Had an appointment through from the docs for a health review on the 11th Jan.

Glad you are able to get out for lunch with froeds and kiddies, its nice to get out.

Hope your online shopping turns up ok, nothing worse than missing items but nothing we can do.

Hope Baz had a good night and a lovely day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie annd Hicky  Another windy day , but not quite as bad as yesterday ! A so so night for me , and I had a friend popping round this morning , so the furthest I’ve been today is up the local shop for some milk. Consequently I’ve spent the morning washing , ironing , changing the sheets , emptying the bins , feeding Cyril’s face , , and hoovering .  I hope everyone else is having a good Friday .

Mollie , bummer about your blocked drains .But glad Mr M managed to clear it eventually.Lol at the PokΓ©mon toast .My Ocado is due on Xmas Eve, fingers crossed the main items arrive ok.Yes, we’ve certainly had a mixed bunch in teatime club this week .Hicky, I’ve ordered a nice beef steak for my Xmas dinner …providing it arrives ok ….if not , I’ve got a gammon steak in the fridge , so I’ll have that instead .When are you going for your Indian meal, is it actually on Xmas day ?

Going to watch Christmas at Hampton Court , and then some nature programmes tonight I think .Have a good evening both, and take care of yourselves .

Baz

both x

Well that's the shorteste day out of the way. It's longer days and downhill to spring now.

Baz

hope your Cyril is behaving and not destoying anything else

How nice you had a friend call in to see you. Is it someone local who you have known a long time?

My next door neigbour knocked on the door and gave us a Christmas card and bottle of wine, which is very nice of her.

Hope your Ocado does have your important things when it arrives, and you enjoy your beef. My Asda came and had 7 subs but nothing too important. Delivery driver told me he was glad to get out of the shop itself as it was bedlam! I am so glad I got ours delivered.

Hicky

glad you got the beef sorted out ok and you are enjoying experimenting with your toatie maker.

Hope Iceland has your sushi in stock. I too have ordered too many loaves! Best to have too many and not enough though.

Had an annoying morning as the drain problem was back, even worse this time! Nothing was going down the kitchen sink and 2 toilets blocked. So called out the drain people. He managed to clean it by jetting it with some water he filled his van with, from this thing in the main street. So despite being Β£150 poorer, at least the drains are ok now. It would have cost a lot more after today, so can't complain though. Lucky MrM was home today as the shopping arrived the same time all this was going on.

We have been lucky with weather the last 2 days. Very windy but at least it was dry. So went for a walk down the seafront with the pup yesterday, It was difficult to even open the car door in the wind! Today we went a little stroll around the gardens of a posh hotel near here. Son dashes off with the pup and I walk slowly behind them for awhile.

I hand delivered a couple of cards to people I had forgotten to do a card for.

Although the temperature was mild, the wind made it feel very cold.

Have a good evening both.  xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Yes, the Indian meal with my lad is Christmas day, booked for 1:30 which is fine, i managed to look through my garage freezer the other day, i was looking for a loaf, i looked through tons of meals etc and almost got to the bottom of the freezer then realised it was in the movable basket, oh well it helped me see more of wat was there, a lot, must stop buying food.

Yes, longer days from today, thank heavens.

Yes, the wind has been bad here as well, glad you got you drains sorted anyway

I'm watching the darts and playing chess online with No.#5 son

Hicky

Hicky

that will be a bit different going for a curry on Christmas day. Wonder if it will be a turkey curry?

Its so easy to overload a freezer and forget what you have got. I am always doing that. Gave my friend some stuff from ours the other week, so we would have room for some Christmas party food.

It should be easier for you to get at next time, now you know you have the moveable basket.

Windy here again today, but has died down quite a bit now. At least it was dry all morning though.

That's handy you have the darts to watch. And also that you can play chess with your son. Is it the son who lives in Cornwall that you play with?

Made my cranberry sauce today, it should stay good for a few days in the fridge. Its suprising how much sugar you need to add to them, as they tend to be so bitter. But I don't overdo it, as I still like them to have a bit of a sour tang.

Did lots of washing today, as I always seem behind with the washing.

Hope Baz is well and had a good day.

Goodnight both

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Happy Christmas Eve .😁My Ocado/M&S order came , and guess what ….no missing items or substitutions.I couldn’t go for a walk this morning cos it was raining , plus I am  waiting in for something I’ve ordered …which hasn’t arrived yet ….so the furthest I’ve been is to pop up the local shop for a loaf of bread , and yet more bird food ! Consequently I have stayed in , and done two loads of washing , cleaned bathroom , emptied bins , and restocked Cyril’s food so he can keep stuffing his face !I I hope everyone else is having a nice Christmas Eve .

Mollie , we’ve spoken …..but I hope your day is going well, and you are being good , otherwise Santa won’t visit .Hicky , I hope you have a lovely meal with your son tomorrow .My son will be coming up on the 27th ….weather permitting ….cos it’s over a 300 mile round trip , bless him . The wind was dreadful here for two days , but thankfully it died down without any damage …apart from having to pick up broken branches / bush bits from the patio .

Well I hope you both have a wonderful Xmas . ..I’ll be thinking of you both .

Baz

Good afternoon Mollie & Baz.

Happy Christmas eve

No, doubt if i will be having turkey, used to make turkey curries for the lads when they were young, mainly using the legs as we had quite big birds, but i will have beef or king prawns, or duck, i love that as well.

I now have 5 packs of Sushi left, going to have a pack tonight, i have extra Soy and Wasabi anyway.

The darts has finished for Christmas, returns on the 27th, yes, my lad in Cornwall is the one playing chess with me.

I've just done the wash load, its in the dryer now, will do the dishwasher tonight, i usually put it on Sunday night as i like to start the week with all clean stuff again.

Glad your groceries came ok and nothing missing, i had roast spuds missing but when i looked online they had them, but i already have some so not really a problem, will order some next year.

Only had 1 substitute, they didnt have the loaf i ordered by mistake, i had already ordere 2 loaves incase one was out of stock, then they substituted the extra one into one that i had already ordered so got 1 thivk seeded bloomer and 2 medium tiger bloomer, have put the thick and a medium in the freezer for now.

Have a lovely Christmas day tomorrow both.

Sounds like you are looking forward to your meal out tomorrow. Hope you enjoy it.

That is good you have plenty of sushi left to enjoy.

At least it not too much of a break for your darts.

Technology is amazing how it means you can play chess with your son who lives in Cornwall.

Its good nothing important was missing from your shopping with only 1 substitute. We had about 7 subs, but I am happy to say it was the same for us too and it was nothing important. But its wonderfull to be able to avoid those supermarket queues.

We stayed home today as it was has been windy and rainy all day. Even the pup doesn't want a walk.

But we made use of our time at home and have pre-pred a lot of our food for tomorrow. eg. cooked sprouts carrots, mash, roast spuds, roast parnsips and son has mixed the yorkshire pud mix. So hopefully it will come together easier tomorrow with the help of the air fryer.

We had baked camabert with freshly baked rolls for tea and a glass of mulled wine. Delicous.

Hope Baz is having a good day.

Have a lovely Christmas Eve evening both xxx

To Hicky and Baz

Merry Christmas Wallpaper

Hope you are both having a nice day.

How did the meal out with your family go Hicky?

And, Baz, did you enjoy your special meal go ok?

What a nice seasonal picture, shame we didn't have any real snow .

We went to see the Christmas swim this morning, despite the fact it was raining. We still enjoyed it though. The lifeguards and coastwatch were there watching closely, as the sea was so rough. Then we opened our pressies and had a nice lunch. I made the Mery Berrie recipe for the yorkies and they turned out perfect.

MrM bought me a lovely dark plum coloured coat with fake fur trimmed hood. Its lovely and fits just right. However, the jumper he got me not so good. Sleeves too long and it said "only wash when necessary", and to wash in cold water, so its going back. I think it was because it had wool in it.

The pup was puzzled what was going on, and why she had all theses toys at the same time. So she had an exhuasted sleep in her basket while we had dinner.

Afternoon Mollie  Not a great night , but it was nice and sunny first thing so I went for a walk , which helped a bit . Aside from that , I’ve hoovered , changed bedsheet , washed, ironed ,  cleaned kitchen and bathroom, fed the wildlife , and put bin out ready for collection tomorrow …so I’m all ready for my sons visit tomorrow ….weather permitting ! I hope everyone else is having a nice Boxing Day.

Mollie , you are very brave going winter swimming .Once again I’m sorry about the mix up …..I’ll wait until the new year , and if it’s not turned up I will re-order it ! I’m glad you had a nice Xmas …and sounds like you got some nice gifts .Hicky , I hope you had a nice meal with your son , and a peaceful day .

Not sure what  our viewing is tonight , but sure we will find something .Have a good evening both …and take care .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Merry Boxing day Both.

Thanks for the lovely Christmas Pictures, so lovely.

The meal went well, they have dual menu's so you can select an English one or an Indian one, i went for Induan as i could get Engliah anytime really so selected Popperdoms, a starter amd a main meal, had coke to drink, all good, they were very busy as well.

I got a pair of Crocs & a box of biscuits, i wear Crocs in the house and garden which tends to wear the tread off the sole so will keep the new ones for in the garden over winter as they should slip less.

I tried making some fried bread in the toaster, brushed butter on both sides then toasted, that worked fine, had a Cornish Pastie for brekkie and some salmon steaks for tea cooked in the air fryer with lemon slices all round, so nice.

Just watching Salvage Hunters as darts doesnt start again till tomorrow.

I forgot to get the garden wheelie bin ready to go out last week and they dont collect again till mid Jan, not to worry.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  A much quieter day weather wise …thank goodness ! It took my son over four and a half hours to get home . But it was lovely to see him . I am feeling  very down today , but I had a better night , and managed to get a short walk in  first thing . Aside from that I’ve not done a lot today …just some washing and fed the wildlife !I hope everyone else is having a nice day .

Mollie , I hope your day is going well and that your weather has calmed down too  . I’m looking forward to getting back to teatime club next week .Hicky, I’m glad you had a nice meal …and that you have new crocs . Our garden collection stopped at the start of December , and doesn’t start again til mid January I think ….and from now on we have to pay for it !

It’s MC , and hgtv for us tonight I think .I hope you both have a good evening both , and look after yourselves .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Weather not too bad here, still rain earlier and pretty windy, only went to the big back gate to put the bolt across after beighbour brought the recycle wheelie back in, i saw him opening the gate as my chime alarm system tells me where everyone is so i know when he passes the front door, i opened the dppr and gave him a tub of Quality Street.

Made a lovely 3 egg omelette for brekkie, had it between 2 rounds of toasted bloomer, i make it as a pancake then fold it to the size of the bread, going to have a Cornish Pastie for tea as at 2pm i had the chicken soup and Avacado.

I have the darts to watch day and night as it restarted yesterday, the players are so good these days, wow, its amazing.

When the weather gets a bit nicer i will venture down the garden to see how things are, i have more pruning to do on the grape vine but cant do the final prune till after the last frost< think there are some more leaves on the paths which need putting onto the raised beds.

Hope Mollie is having a good day.

Gosh it was so windy here overnight and this afternoon MrM thought the garden fence was going to blow down, the way it was swaying. Pup hates going out in this weather too!

Baz

sorry you are feeling down today, maybe it was after saying Goodbye to your son last night?

Such a shame he had such a bad journey. I think the roads are so overcrowded now, and not helped with the potholes and bad weather.

Hope tv with your friends today will help uplift you.

Yes it will be nice to be back to Teatime club next week, especially as it a show we really enjoy. I like shows with kiddies on it.

Hicky

Glad you enjoyed your Christmas meal out and you got a few nice pressies too.

Handy that the darts are back for you to watch.

I bet your neighbour was pleased to get Quality St off you.

Went out for lunch with MrM and a friend at the Toby today. Nice roast meal for Β£7 each with my voucher, so can't complain.

Drains were starting to block again, so mrM went and bought some drain rods and luckily managed to unblock it again. Am beginning to wonder if the stormy weather is causing this? When the drain guy tried the rods last time they didn't work, so lucky it worked for MrM. I didnt fancy forking out another Β£150, especially as we just got a huge credit card bill for our Christmas extra spending!

Son watching Worlds Strongest man now, he likes to watch it every Christmas week.

I am off to see the panto with some friends and their kiddies. Looking forward to it. Always good for a laugh.

Have a good evening both xxx

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Havent been to the Toby for years, the food standard went off by us so we stopped going.

Nothing worse than blocked drains, we had that a couple of years ago and the man came and only used the rods, that got it all going again.

I used to watch the strongest man, but dont like to see them lifting such weights etc, cant do you much good.

Am enjoying the darts though.

Hope Baz has had a good day.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°A crap night , and I wasn’t well first thing ..so not a great day chez Baz 😞But I did manage to do the duvet shuffle , two loads of washing , and emptied the bins ….so not a totally wasted day ! I’ve also fed Cyril’s face again !πŸ™„πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ€£I hope everyone else is having a better day than I am! πŸ˜‚

Mollie , I hope parcel number 2 gets there ok ! Yes, I’m looking forward to junior bake off too .it was windy here too ….but not quite as bad as a couple of weeks ago ….but I’m always worried about my fences too! Hope you enjoyed the panto , and don’t talk to me about credit card bills …I have just had to pay my tv licence too ! Hicky , I’m glad you are enjoying the darts .I really need to get out and weed the front  flower bed cos the bulbs are all starting to poke through .

Not sure what tonight’s viewing is ,  but sure we will find something .Have a good evening both….and look after yourselves .

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Sprry to hear you had a bad night Baz, i still get up a couple of times in the night, it just breaks it up, i often even get a bite to eat if i havent had any supper, i wont sleep well if i need food or the loo, i also try and work out what to have for brekkie, never have the same 2 days running though.

Weather was pretty miserable so stayed inside, Got a bit to do in the garden but plenty of time yet.

The Masked Singer starts tonight on ITV1 so am recording it as the darts are on tonight as well, the afternoon session was good, it stops tonight till the 1st then it resumes for 3 days.

Yes, it seems endless bills, one after the other, but i auto pay off the card when its due to keep interest down.

Yes, the Bulbs will be shooting up and flowering before you know it, without fail, daffs & Crocus first every year.

Hope Mollie has had a good day.

Hicky
