Evening Mollie & Baz.

Glad your night was ok Baz, i have stopped coffee at night now so sleep a bit better.

I left a load of food etc and the Haribo sweets and the cleaners took it all, it wasnt frozen & it didnt need a fridge, mainly tined or dry foods, i have so much stuff and decide what i like or not.

I have ordered the Iceland stuff, love lobsters etc, it was the cleaners that recomended the Elbow Grease degreaser as i told them i couldnt get the dried oil etc off the induction hob glass.

The Plumber didnt ring me, my son #3 is coming tomorrow so he's going to look at the cistern that is allowing water to overflow in the bowl, think he fitted all the bathroom when we had it done, if he cant sort it i'll have to ring plumber again next week.

I have removed the comouter timers from outside and removed the batteries, still got to remove 2 from the garage now, got to put the frost protection on the 2 outside taps as my lad didnt put an isolating tap inside for each so i cant cut the water off.

The autumn duvet is rather lovely, its a 10 tog and lies very nice, cant really see me needing the winter one i have, but its there if i do need it.

Hope Mollie has had a good day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Sunny , but very chilly here . Not a bad night , so I went for a walk first thing , but sadly no Cyril’s again .Apart from the walk I’ve done the duvet shuffle , two loads of washing , and cleaned the kitchen , so not a bad day .I hope you are all enjoying your Saturday , whatever you are up to .

Mollie , I’m still grinning about last nights BB result .The Trish fans on FB are fuming , and I’ve watched the clip with her face when they said her name a couple of times , and it’s still hilarious .It reminded me of an old c4 moment when one of the HMs said on camera on eviction night  , * please don’t take my friends * and then it turned out to be her that was evicted .Anyway , I hope you’re having a good day lHicky , I hope your son can sort out the loo for you .I use a 13 tog duvet all year round , cos I’m a chilly billy .

Well it’s a very early Strictly for me , but it does mean Ros and I can watch Survivor live tonight. Have a good evening both, and take care .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Glad your night was ok and you got a walk in, got out as son #3 came with GF and we went to a farm shop, she was cleaning my induction hob with my new elbo grease degreaser spray, and she did the floors with the sweeper thingi as i keep it charged, oh, and i got some more Avocado as they arent too bad and very good for your health, you get used to them.

Was going to have Lobster for tea, forgot i have to defrost it overnight so had 2 iceland cornish pasties instead.

Son cleared the blockage in the kitchen sink, he took the removable stuff off underneath, it was collected fat, he thinks i need a  new seal for the loo so have ordered 2 from the makers as i have 2 of the same loo's, one in the ensuite, will let him know when it arrives.

Nothing was missing from the iceland order so thats good

Hope mollie had a good day.

Your cleaners have done well for food stuff from you. I bet they appreciated that.

That's nice your son came and his partner helped around the house and he was able to help with your plumbing issues.

I agree advocados are good for you, I bought some the other day too. I do find it hard to work out when they are ripe though.

We only have the Ring doorbell but it is good, no wonder you got the internal ones too. Are the internal ones also made by Ring? Might be an idea for us to fix one for our back garden.

Yes it is odd how animals hate firework noise. Wonder if they can smell the gunpowder from them, as dogs have such a strong sense of smell. Our pup is being weird if she hears a banging noise outside now, since we had all those firework noises. Hopefully she will forget it and realise it doesnt mean anything.

I have a 7 tog on my bed and feel quite warm at night but do wear a fluffy nightie and have teddy bedlinen, so they are warm. I have a 3.5 tog for summer. Both of my lads only want their 3.5 even though I bought them warmer ones as they never seem to feel the cold.

Baz

thats good you had an ok night and also got a walk in.

I too was so relieved that the trouble maker from BB went. I haven't seen the clip but sounds like she was shocked. Do you think she thought only Chanelle was going?

Didn't realise Sainsburys make you take them out of the trays as well. I haven't used Sainsburys since covid as despite the fact I had been a regular customer, they ditched me when covid arrived and they got lots of other customers. But am happy with Ocado and think I will get an Icleland this week as I am short of frozen cheesy stuff.

Busy week this week as son is on stage, and I go with various friends to see it. One of my friends is coming from Weston s Mare tomorrow. 3 of us will have lunch , then go to the show. Its a lovely family musical, good job as I will see it 3 times in all. My house will look such a mess by the end of this weekend.

Took pup a walk down seafront, she loves all the people, other dogs and seaside smell.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky It’s dry and sunny here now …but boy is it breezy . Not a bad night, so I did go for a short walk this morning , and I got more fresh air than yesterday .Aside from that I’ve hoovered up and downstairs , done a load of washing , put bin out ready for collection tomorrow , and cleaned kitchen ….so a more productive day than yesterday .I hope everyone else is enjoying their Monday .

Mollie , nice that we were proved right about Trish….what a truly nasty woman she is ….and ITV really got their fingers burnt by being so biased towards her , eh .Im enjoying Survivor ….they really mixed it up last night …in more ways than one .I hope you have a more relaxing week ahead .Hicky , nice that your son came and sorted things out for you .Bummer about the lobster , but hope you’ve managed to have it by now ..

Well it’s Toxic Love , BB and MAFS for my viewing tonight …so a good trashy evenings viewing .I hope you both have a good evening . Take care .

Baz

Good Afternoon Mollie & Baz.

My Lad & GF said they will come and do my cleaning, sje was cleaning the stove and extract hood which has never been done, they wearnt impressed with the cleaners at all so have cancelled the normal cleaners.

It seems the toilet ptoblem is the seal which i have ordered, shuld get this week with a bit of luck.

No idea when an Avocado is ripe, i assume it depends how soft it feels, i just cut around it lengthways the twist it in half then hit the seed with a sharp knif then twist and it comes out then spoon the flesh out.

I have the Ring mains powered inside camera's one in the front room facing outside, the other in the kitchen facing out, i turn off sound recording on thos, in the kitchen i made a small stand that sits against the window to get it up and against the glass.

Considering all dogs come from Wolves there could be something in their DNA from thousands of years or more that makes them scared of hunters or something, it seems to be built into all animals though.

I had an awful time witht he Lobster Baz, good job i wrapped it in clingfilm, even more lucky i put it in a big zip freezer bagt, good job as there was loads of water in the bag, i opened the clingfilm in the sink, good job, then took claws off, what i job opening those as they are full of water, tried my kitchen scissors, a heck of a job to cut body in half with a knife, oh dear, next time i'll cut with the kitchen sxissors, was supposed to take the meat from the head, hard for me being half blind and colourblind so if it tasted nice i ate it, even had a job getting the meat from the body, never even got a mouthful i dont think, will be wiser on the next one, unless i give it away, i have an uncooked tail or 2 which may be easier for me.

I have a pack of 64 crabsticks, will make a butty with some of those for afternoon tea.

I am recording Survivor and have evening darts all week so happy about that, watched my recording of the voice, so good.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Sunny , but chilly here today … not a bad night , so I went for a walk first thing , and I also popped up the shop ….so plenty of steps and fresh air . I’ve changed sheets , washed , emptied bins and cleaned kitchen ….so on that level not a bad Wednesday …..BUT…my appliances are having a bad day .

Firstly , the flush on the upstairs loo broke ….i managed to sort of fix it , but my insurance can’t come until tomorrow , so if I use that loo I have to flush it with a bliddy bucket cos I’m scared to press the flush again in case I can’t stop it flushing  .Then my washing machine decided to not spin properly ! I tried to rebalance the load a couple of times , but it still wouldn’t work , until I took some of the sopping wet load out and did it in two darn  lots ! I wonder what number 3 will be !I hope everyone else is having a less stressful day .

Mollie , I hope your day is going well and that you are now comfy in our chateau .Glad Jordan survived last night , and it’s looking hopeful that he or Henry might win .Hicky , you’ve jinxed my loo too! Wow , that lobster sounds a bit of a task! Sorry you’re no longer happy with your cleaners .Im enjoying Survivor , and looking forward to I’m a Celeb .

Well it’s Teen First Dates, BB and MAFS for me tonight .I hope you both have a nice evening , and take care .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

My new loo flush seals arrived by royal mail, i've been watching vids on replacing the seal, seems easy enough, i wont do it though, and the water seems to stop running at times, it could be a bit of rubbish has got onto the seal washer and stopping it sealing, it wouldnt take much to do that.

The foot lady came today, so thats sorted, my lad and gf offered to do my cleaning so no point in having the cleaners as well as they charge me Β£48 and its going up in Jan, the girl boss used to come but now she just sends a couple of the workers, which dont really know what they are supposed to do, its just not the same as they dont seem to have a standard check list to follow.

I am lucky having darts to watch every night this week, till Sunday, very nice for me.

Hope Mollie has had a good Wednesday

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and  Hicky  Sunny , but very chilly here today . I had a better night , so I went for a walk first thing …if I lived by the sea I’d call it bracing , as I don’t it was just darn cold ! I’ve not really done much today , just some washing …duvet shuffle booked in for tomorrow ….hoovered and cleaned kitchen . I had some nice lamb chops and mash for lunch , and that’s the sum total of my exciting Friday . I hope your day  is more exciting than mine .

Mollie , I hope your day is going well and that you are managing to get some down time .Im looking forward to the BB final tonight …and hoping that either Jordan or Henry wins .Hicky, my plumber came yesterday and replaced the flush , it’s a push button type , and it seems ok now …fingers crossed . Glad you’re son and gf are doing the cleaning for you now …and that you’ve got the darts to watch .

Well it’s  MAFS NZ, BB final ,and GB for me tonight .Have a good evening both , and look after yourselves .

thats good you didn't have a bad night and got out for a walk too.

What a nuisance you had 2 things playing up. I hope that 3rd incident doesn't occur.  Glad your plumber sorted the problem flush out though. Have you got someone to sort your washing machine out?

I am guessing it will be close between Jordan and Henry tonight but at least they are both pleasant enough.

I too am really enjoying Survivor, and I think that castle we bought this week is the best place we have bought so far.

Hicky

thats good the lady comes to your house to do your feet. Do they charge you, or is it free on NHS, as I know a lot of things that used to be free for pensioners aren't any more.

Don't blame you ditching the cleaners as its expensive if they are not sure what they are doing. Β£48 seems a lot, was that for each visit or a few visits?

You are right that all dogs are descended from wolves, but of course, have become highly domesticated since that. But some instincts still remain.

How nice you have the darts to watch this week.

Yes I guess I need to leave the advocado until it feels softer as its horrible if I open it and its still hard.

You are well organised with your Ring. MrM is going to set one up to cover the back of our house as its just open land behind us.

Had a busy week, time goes so quick with the pup needing attention , we go out more than usual, even if its just taking her a short walk round the shopping areas if its raining. She loves going into the pet shop and round the DIY stores.

So much to do round the house still. I have lots of pieces of wallpaper samples lined up on the fireplace trying to decide which one we like best. And meal times are complicated with the lads working different hours. Thank goodness for the air fryer and microwave, and our good local chippie.

Have a good evening both.

Enjoy the BB final. xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Glad your night was ok and you got a walk Baz, i watched more vids about the loo leaks, its usually the flush valve washer/seal, in one vid he just took the seal off and reversed it, he just checked  for anything on the seal which could cause  water to escape, the whole flush unit just clips in and need less than a quarter turn to release it and same to refit, so simple, my lad hasnt had the chance to come yet but the leak is very slight.

I changed from the NHS doing my feet when covid shut them all down, not even sure if they ever resumed as i got told dont ring them, they will ring you, they never did so i have this lady coming every 6 weeks or so i think, its Β£38 a session but it saves me messing around.

Originally the cleaners cost so much each and usually 3 came, then i was told it would be Β£16 each for an hour but a standard chargenof Β£48, sometimes 4 came sometimes 2 came, i was told from jan it was going up to Β£18 an hour, which is confusing as i pay 3 times Β£16 now, but whether i should have paid Β£32 for 2 x 1 hour or not i have no idea or whether they should stay longer, i dont know that either as the boss girl stopped comming and she sent some of her workers.

Yes, love this air fryer / grill it will cook anything really, and i often defrost items in the microwave as that the cheapest way, i need to cut down on time with this Ninja as its twice the power of a lot, but of course you just set the temperature you want.

Great having darts to watch while other programs are recording.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Rained on and off all day here , but I did have a decent night , so I did manage to get a walk in between the rain , cos I had to go to the postbox , and popped to the shop .Aside from that I’ve not really done a lot , just some washing , cleaned kitchen , dusting and emptied the bins . I hope everyone else is enjoying their Sunday …and staying dry .

Mollie , I hope your weekend is going well . Great result for BB eh .Sorry , Jess went on Survivor , but glad it wasn’t Doug .Looks like their plan to throw the task really backfires tonight .….. ….but I won’t get to watch it until tomorrow cos of Woodwork.Hicky, I think Covid messed up loads of things …like your chiropodist …that haven’t got back to normal , even now ….but glad you can afford to have them done privately .I am still debating whether it’s worth me spending out for an air fryer .

Well it’s Woodwork and the start of I’m a Celeb for me tonight .Have a good evening both , and take care .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Glad your night was ok and you got a walk in Baz, i have only been to the garage, but got an eye appointment at the hospital in the morning.

I did a wash load then dryed it in dryer then all folded and put away, filled dishwasher and got that sorted, then all put away,

I havent even heard if the NHS chiropodists are back working in the docs surgeries, she charges me Β£38 but thats fine, she will have insurance, fuel and other stuff to buy, and self emplayed dont get holiday pay.

I havent used my oven for months, mainly because this Ninja model has a higher temperature range than most, but i can cook anything i need, all my meals etc mainly take less that 30 mins.

I keep getting messages and email about getting the covid jab and flu jab, but i've had them all ready, they mustnt look into records first.

I dont think i'll watch i'm a celeb as its the same old old and i'm bored of it, and they try to make it more dangerous and more scary and harder to win anything.

Hope Mollie has had a good day.

Hicky

Baz

glad you had a good night and managed a little walk.

Its good you have so much to watch on tv now. But I can't keep up with what you are watching next. My tv time is much reduced since we got the pup and moved into a house that needs lots doing. (not complaining though as we like the place) and both lads are working different (and often late) hours, so meal times are complicated.

But I am glad I manage Tea Time club most nights and have also enjoyed Survivor. (wont let on who went last night as you are behind).

I recommend an air fryer. Cant remember when we used our ordinary oven. We use it a few times each day. Its brilliant.

Hicky

It is worth Β£38 every 6 weeks for someone to visit you to make sure your feet are well looked after.

Gosh your cleaning costings do sound expensive. I think they charge Β£10-Β£15 an hour here, per cleaner.

I too sometimes defrost in the microwave before air frying. eg. if the lads want frozen pizza, I defrost first in microwave, then cut it in half and cook each half in the double air fryer baskets.

I will flick through bits of IAC, as I do I not have time to commit to watching it in full, and I too find the tasks rather dull now they have done them so many times. I did enjoy BB though, as the tasks were well planned and thought out.

I think that is bad they are sending reminders for jabs that people have already had (others have told me they have too). It is not good to have jabs you don't need. They really need to work on getting their admin right.

We now have 10 pieces of wallpaper stuck on the wall whilst we decide which one looks good. We must have ripped off over 20 to try so far. MrM says he needs to do it before our new fire arrives. (the old one here wasn't working).

We got this one as it is a tv stand and a fan as well, so will save us floor space.

Goodnight both xxx

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Sunny , but a chilly breeze here today . Not a bad night , but for some reason I  feel very weary today . But I did go for a short walk this morning , and I did a bit of tidying up in the garden , so at least I’ve got some fresh air .Aside from that I’ve not done very much , just changed the sheet and pillowcases , and washed and ironed . I had pork steak for lunch , and now I’m done for the day .I hope everyone else is having a nice Tuesday .

Mollie , hope  you are having a good day . Cdwm was fun yesterday , eh . I like your tv cabinet .I have a glass one , which is great , but needs regular dusting ! We’ve not caught up on Survivor yet , but I’m not looking forward to the darn letters from home !Hicky , I hope the eye  appointment has gone well . How annoying that they keep contacting you for jabs you’ve already had !

Well it’s Bake Off and I’m a Celeb for me tonight .Have a good evening both , and look after yourselves .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Mollie, why are you putting wallpaper on the wall, i would never have wallpaper again, dont wee the point of it, when you get fed up with it you have to start all over again, easier to paint it, just water based paint.

I just ignore the contacts about jabs now, i've had 7 covid ones, they are probwbly done automatic so have no idea i have had them, they wont go through the records will they.

The eye clinic was ok, but it means i cant really after the eye drops for 6 hours, saw the doc, she said my eyes are ok, no changes, come back in 6 weeks again, if all ok they will discharge me again.

Been getting those Ginsters cornish pasties, got 3 packs of 4, froze 8 and had 4 to eat, rather nice, put in air fryer @ 160 for 15 minutes, i heat and eat 2 aat a time.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie annd Hicky  Overcast and chilly here today , but I went for a walk first thing ….blew a few cobwebs away . Aside from that , I’ve done a load of washing , cleaned the kitchen and bathroom , fed wildlife , and window cleaner has been so windows are sparkling .I had lamb chops for lunch and now I’m done for the day .I hope everyone else is having a good Thursday , whatever you are up to.

Mollie , I hope your day is going well and that doggie is behaving itself today. I can’t believe that itv don’t seem to have learnt anything from the Trish debacle ….and yesterday turned into the bliddy Nella show !Hicky, glad the eye clinic went ok ….Mr B used to have them too , and like you say he couldn’t really see for a while afterwards .

Well it’s MC , I’m a Celeb and GB Have a good day evening both .

Baz

Good Afternoon Mollie & Baz.

Glad you managed to get a walk in Baz, not done anything today really, son in Oz sent pics and vids of son as its his 3rd birthday today, i snt hom a little money gift.

I prefer the rack of lamb to the chops myself, i have had to change my meat diet after having dental work as chewing is a problem now.

Had some beans and bacon for brekkie, with a round of the iceland thick seeded bloomer which is rather nice so will probably get one every week, thats if i order every week, going to have another of the Lobsters tonight, hope i can get the meat out easier this time, going to try the kitchen scissors as the knife was a failure.

Just having my 2pm snack, usually a cup of chicken soup and an Avacado, which i eat with a spoon.

Hope Mollie is having a good day.

Hicky

Baz

thats good you got a nice walk in today. Its rather bracing today, isn't it, and said to get very cold the next few days. Would prefer dry and cold to all that rain though.

Yes CDWM has been a barrel of laughs lately. Makes you wonder where they get all these weird people from? Or maybe you have to be a bit weird to apply to go on a show like that.

I agree that unfortunately IAC has the same ring has the Trish thing on BB. (even though I did enjoy BB).

Hicky

thats good you eye clinic went ok, far better than those days when it was going downhill. Let's hope that eye carries on improving slowly.

Gosh the little fella is 3 already. Hope they are enjoying their time in Oz. Are they still in Sydney?

We only chose wallpaper for one wall in the lounge as we both really liked this one. It was easy to put up as it was paste the wall one. Son also chose to wallpaper one wall in his room too.

We have now bought an enclosure to put round the new wooden fire and newly wallpapered room as pup ripped a piece of wallpaper the day it was put on. Luckily MrM managed to do a repair job on it to save repapering. To be expected as we have a teething puppy in the house.

And we now have curtains up in the lounge that we found reduced in B and Q sale.

Slowly getting things sorted in the house.

Went for Harvester brekkie with my friend and her grandson yesterday. Very good value at Β£5.99 (plus 25% discount with our vouchers) for a cooked brekkie. Pup loves playing chasey with the little boy.

Cool today but at least its dry. Pegged washing out, but it didn't dry very well.

Have a good day both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Yes, it would be great if my bad eye improved more, i would be so happy, will just have to wait and see.

I am pretty sure my lad is still around Sydney, they are having days out to show the children around.

A good idea just papering one wall, a lot of people just paint 1 wall a different colour, i dont know what colour my walls are, i have no idea, and dont really care either as it does nothing for me.

My lad & gf is coming tomorrow, he can sort the loo cysten water running problem, but ive noticed when i push the big / 6L flush it seems to stop running, must be something on the washer / seal stopping it sealing.

Hope Baz had a good day & night.

Hicky

Hicky

How nice the kiddies are having days out round Sydney. Travelling is so educational for kiddies. Do you have photos of them in Oz to send me?

Hope your lad and his gf are able to come tomorrow, I am sure you will enjoy a bit of company, and hope he can sort your plumbing problem out.

It is very cold tonight, looks like winter is on the way.

Can't complain though as it was nice and dry, so we went with son and pup to see Winterwonderland. So pretty with lights and decorations in the castle grounds. Quite a few people ice skating, even though it was quite early in the day.  My washing nearly dried on the line, so it is just hanging on an airer now to finish it off. Saves me the expense of a tumble drier.

We had a nice warming lunch from Gregs that we ate outside. I had a toasted Christmas baquette with vegetarian turkey, stuffing , cranberry. Very nice.

Hope Baz is having a good evening.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Sunny, but frosty today…not glove weather yet …but definitely woolly hat time . I didn’t have a good night , but I managed to drag myself out for a short walk first thing ….so I’ve had  some fresh air . Apart from that , I’ve done the duvet shuffle , two loads of washing , and cleaned the kitchen . ..so not a totally wasted day . I hope everyone else is enjoying their Saturday .

Mollie, we used to like going to the harvester too ….decent meals for a reasonable price .Glad the house is getting sorted now …and how lovely that you went to see the Xmas lights ….no sure if our town is having any this year . Yes, I think we have to a bit weird to watch the programmes we watch , eh.Hopefully see you for survivor tonight .Hicky , awww how lovely that your grandson is three now . Fingers crossed  your son can mend you loo today .

Well it’s Strictly , Survivor , and Celeb tonight ..so a good nights viewing .Have a good one both, and take care .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Yes, will send some pics Mollie, they are having a fine time.

My lad & GF came today, 3 hrs, she is rather good at doing the cleaning, wow, its like a new house, well, bungalow, she even brought a compact floor steam cleaner, she was like a machine.

Iceland came as well, so got lots of fruit etc, didnt get any frozen food as i am still going through stocks.

The loo problem was tacked, but we had problems as the custern is narrow and the centre flushing unit has to turn 90 deg but it was hitting items it shouldnt so son had to modify unit slightly to get it released, he managed to fit the new seal ok so hopefully it should be ok, but at least we can get the part out now.

Yes, temperature seems to be plunging now, heating is on rather a lot of course.

Got darts and F1 to watch so i'm ok, plus hundreds of recordings still.

aaww sorry you had a bad night, hope you fare better tonight. Well done getting the incentive to go for a walk though.

I think the Harvester has been going for years now. Our local one is so friendly, the waitress knows our order better than we do and we look forward to seeing her each week. She always makes sure we are aware of the latest discounts too and even subs the egg for a portion of chips for the 3 year old You will never guess what I swop my egg for though, will you?......

Yes it has to be an extra portion of baked beans.

I am looking forward to getting my new teddy duvet set. Everything you have recommended to me so far has just been great. I am currently wearing my teddy trousers.

Hicky

Glad your son and gf came and she did such a good job on your housework. Hope your loo will be ok now.

These are the mini applie pie bites I told you about.

Iceland 12 [APPROX.) Mini Apple Pie Bites 170g | Desserts | Iceland FoodsThey are so yummy done for a few mins in the air fryer. Me and MrM just had some with custard and a sliced banana.

Enjoy your darts and F1. I am looking forward to Survivor, think it has been a great series.

it was below freezing last night here and cool all day, but so nice as it was bright and sunny. Its going dark very early now though.

MrM did a bit of wallpapering again today, but he didn't close the pup enclosure properly, so he now has to go back again and re-paster the 1st 2 rows up again, as pup ripped them off!

Have a good evening both xxx

Good afternoon Mollie & Baz.

I've put those apple bites on my next order, might as well get the 3 packs, can always give a pack away if needed.

I did a lovely cheese on toast for brekkie using the seeded bloomer and extra mature iceland cheese, and nothing missing off the delivery which is great, this Nibja has a grill setting so it only took a few minutes in that.

One of my lads told me to try the Pick Up biscuits, ow wow, the inner chocolate is as thick as the outer biscuit, lovely, Pick Up! Original 4 x 28g (112g) 3  @   Β£1.00  =  Β£3.00.

I'll send more pics when i get them, its a pain them being 11 hrs ahead of us now.

Hope Baz had a good night and day.

Hicky

Hicky x

Re Iceland...hope you like the apple bites. 3 packs won't go too far as it would be easy to eat 1 pack at once.

There is some other nice looking party food in that 3 for Β£5 , so I mixed and matched. I got the Tempuru King Prawns for MrM and some Vegetable samosas. Will try 3 different mix and match next time.

We like their seeded bloomer too, ideal for your cheese on toast.

I have seen those Pick Up biscuits but haven't tried them yet.

My lappy broke, so MrM sorted one out in the Currys Black Friday sale for me. I have gone back to HP, as I have always got on with those.

MrM nearly finished the papering in the lounge. He is bored with it now, as he had to redo the 2 damaged strips. Never mind, it looks very nice and suits the room and matches our new fire/tv stand.

Quite chilly here again today.

I made some potato cakes for the boys tea as they enjoy them with some chicken strips from Iceland.

Hope Baz had a good day and is enjoying her tv shows now.

Goodnight both xxx

Evening Mollie & Baz.

I've had loads of the tempura king prawns, love them.

The Pick Up biscuits, wow, they really are worth trying.

Oh dear, cant you take the lappy back, thought it was fairly new.

I will start ordering food for meals soon but not at that stage yet, still got a freezer full in the garage.

Paid HMRC what i owe for 22/23, i had till rnd Jan but like to get it out of the way, they have a good easy method now as i fit in the catorgory of simple assessment npw which is handy.

Hope Baz had a good night and day.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  A  very sunny , but chilly day here…defo hat weather ….and it’s going to be hat and gloves days from tomorrow . Not a bad night so I went for a long walk first thing ….and saw a Cyril . Aside from that I’ve changed the sheets and pillowcases , washed , rescued the bin , hoovered and cleaned the kitchen …..I had pork chops for lunch , and once I’ve ironed the sheets that’s me done for the day .I hope everyone else is enjoying their Tuesday too.

Mollie , I hope you slept ok and are having a good day .Glad the decorating is going well , even if Mr M is fed up with it now …bless him .Yes, Harvester has been going since about the 1970s I think .Glad you like your new lappy , and I  hope you like the new duvet set when it arrives , I absolutely love mine .Hicky , glad your daughter in law is such a demon cleaner . Those apple bites look yummy .Thankfully my tax is taken directly out of the pensions .

Well it’s the Bake Off Final , and I’m a celeb for me tonight …so easy viewing .Have a good evening both , and look after yourselves .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Glad you slept ok Baz, i only went to the wheelie to put some recycling stuff in that one and unlockn the big gate as it goes out tomorrow.

I only have a very small private pension as most of my life i was self employed and i had a small company one when young and they went bust and my small private one pays some tax, they are only allowed to take 50% tax from that but if they took it all it wouldnt pay my tax bill, i think the private pension tax was about 25% of the bill, if they taxed the state pension it would be fine, i know why they dont, its so they can keep tabs on everyone & know where they are.

Hope Mollie has had a good day.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°Sunny and a little bit warmer here today ….not quite as icy,  but no walk because I was waiting in for my meds to be delivered , and they didn’t get here until an hour ago ! But I did dash up the local shop once they’d arrived ..and I did a bit of tidying up in the back garden ,cos it’s the last garden waste collection next week …until the new year .  Aside from that I’ve done a load of washing , dusted , fed wildlife, and cleaned the kitchen . …so not a totally wasted day .I hope everyone else is enjoying their..checks calendar  β€¦..Thursday.

Mollie , I hope your day is going well and that the decorating is going well .Hicky, I hope you are managing to stay warm . It was very icy here yesterday , the frost never left the lawns all day , but it’s slightly warmer today , although no snow or anything . I hope it warms up a bit tomorrow cos I need to go and post a birthday card , and I’m wary of going out when it’s icy .

Well it’s Masterchef , Celeb and GB for me tonight , so another fun evenings viewing .I hope you both have a good evening . Take care .

Baz

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  πŸ₯°πŸ₯°Very cold and frosty here today , and snow forecast for the evening and overnight .😱😱I had to wait in for a delivery ….which has now come …and as it was so frosty I haven’t been out for a walk ….in fact the farthest I’ve  been is to the bins and to feed the birds .🀣🀣  Consequently I’ve  done the duvet shuffle , changed the bedding , done two loads of washing , dusted and cleaned the bathroom . ..and once I’ve ironed the bed sheet I’m done for the day .🀣🀣I hope everyone else is having a nice Saturday .

Mollie , I hope your day is going well .. Have you used your new bedding yet (i) ?🀣🀣I’ll see you for Survivor tonight . 😁Hicky , way to go on your chess score .I used to love Frosties when I was younger  β€¦I used to eat them dry by the handful .

Well it’s a full evening for me …Strictly , Survivior , and bliddy Nella !Have a good evening both . Take care and stay warm .

did you get any snow in the end? We didn't but it was frosty for a few nights.

Back to rain again now though

Really enjoying Survivor. Its getting real cut throat now.

Me and MrM are also into Squid Game. Its similiar to a big Big Brother. So competitive and tactical. And at Β£2million, its a huge prize. Can't say I am really enjoying IAC much, as its mainly the Nella show. But I do roughly follow it. (thanks to your updates).

Haven't used my new bedding yet, but am looking forward to using it. Our Argos one too has done well and stayed fluffy I am pleased to say.

Hicky

glad you are enjoying the mini apple pies. They come up so well in the air fryer. Do you have custard with them?

You did have a good lie in, so you must have needed it. Think we all need a bit more sleep in mid winter. Shame you had to wake in a panic though as the shopping was due.

Well done with your chess playing, as you say, its a good way to keep the brain active.

We went to a light display a few days ago. It was lovely, especially the light show projected onto the castle, and the lights on the waterfall. But it was so much walking it exhausted me with the aches and pains from my arthritis. (not sure if I told you but I got early onset arthritis after that big problem and op on my thyroid some years ago).

I am pleased I managed to do the walk, but it took me 2 days to get over the pain. The physio said I should pace myself, but once we started it, I had to keep going, and there was not many places to stop.

So thanks for updating me on the tv Baz as I have really needed to go to bed early to rest my bad knees/ankles lately.

Stayed in today and yesterday resting my legs. The pup didn't mind as she likes snuggling on the blanket on my lap when its cold. MrM took her for a few walks though.

Night night both xxx

Afternoon Meanies  Rained all day here …but not too heavily ….but it cleared the snow away …..so I went for a walk first thing …..cos I was going stir crazy !But guess what….my Cyril is back in my garden .It made my day .He was basically hanging upside down from a branch,   by his tail , eating the birds suet balls . He spent nearly an hour,  and munched his way through 4 of them .So I dashed up the road to the shop and have now replenished them , so hopefully he will come back tomorrow .🀞🏻🀞🏻Aside from that , I’ve hoovered , cleaned kitchen and bathroom , and done a load of washing ….so , all in all , not a bad day chez Baz .I hope everyone else is having a good Monday too .

Mollie , sorry your arthritis is so bad …..but yes, I’m enjoying Survivor …and even more so that Tinuke has gone .Shame bliddy Nella is still there in Celeb though .Yes , I think the Argos teddy bedding stayed much fluffier than the dunelm one. I hope your day is going well , and looking forward to teatime club .Hicky, wow , I can’t remember the last time I lay in bed that long … ..I’m green with envy . Glad you didnt miss your shopping delivery though .

Well it’s George , Celeb and Made in Chelsea for me tonight . Have a good one both, and take care .

Baz

Good afternoon Mollie & Baz.

I only went out as far as the wheelie to put a few rubbish bags in (Iceland) so handy, i pay Β£1:25 for each lot was it saves me using my ro;; of black bags.

I will have the apple bites with some custard nwxt time as its risky eating them from the fryer as the apple was burny hot, they are nice though.

I had the 2 Lobster tails, oh dear, never again, i opened them as instructions and put butter in to cook them, had such a job getting the meat out, it sure wasnt worth the Β£15 price tag, it wasnt really worth Β£1, Canadian North Atlantic caught in pots, are they serious, how on earth could they get pots down to the ocean floor? they are so small, they should have thrown them back.

You really shouldnt have done all that walking Mollie, no idea how my walking is really now as i havent really done any.

The fave food for the birds etc are meal worms, so easy to eat and full of goodness, Dried mealworms are a high calorie. High protein treat that will appeal to a wide variety of wild birds, but you need to buy the bulk bags of at least 5kg as they love them, they arent worms anyway, they are dried Beetle Larva.

I have been going to bed late, and the only thing i have to get up for is tablets and food.

Hicky

both

Baz

good job you can get out again for your walks now its milder. Mind you, it still feels cold here tonight and its 4C. At least my legs are warm though in my teddy trousers. Do you wear yours in the evenings?

How lovely your Cyril is back again and enjoying the food in your garden. Sounds like he was very hungry if he was nibbling for nearly an hour!

I am enjoying Tea Time Club with Kirsty as well as Survivor. Hopefully IAC will improve a bit now that awful Nella has gone. But I am bored with the tasks now. Wonder if Tony will win? Think he is my fave.

Hicky

yes you must be very carefull with the apple bites as the inside can get so hot, I only heat them for about a minute, then leave them to cool for awhile.

What a shame about your lobster. What a waste of money as it was not nice to eat. You could of got a lot in the 3 for Β£5 party food instead. They have a lot of chicken stuff in the offer, as well as prawns.

I am surprised how strong those Iceland carriers are, and they hold a lot too. I am going to get another order soon as we like to eat party food treats the few days after Christmas, and Iceland have a big choice for party food.

Haven't got far whilst resting my knee, but have done my Christmas cards, so I can tell people our new address. Don't want them posting stuff to our old address. Did go to asda and The Range though to buy a few pressies for the family but went on separate days so I could pace myself.

Goodnight both xxx

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Very frosty first thing , and not a great night , but I had Xmas cards to post so I went for a walk this morning . I’ve also popped up the local shop….so I’ve had plenty of fresh air today .Aside from that I’ve changed the sheet and pillowcases , done two loads of washing , ironed , emptied bins and cleaned the kitchen …..so quite a productive day chez Baz .I hope you are all having an equally productive day .

Mollie , I hope you’re enjoying teatime club this week.Nick is my fave on Celeb ….but think it will be Sam or Tony that win . …I just wish Josie and Danielle would be evicted …I used to like them both , but they’ve turned into right cahs! Hicky , awwww I’m so sorry about your lobster , what a bummer .My birds like mealworms too …..I tend to get a mix of mealworms , suet pellets , and general bird food .

Well it’s MC , Celeb and GB for me tonight .I hope you both have a good evening , and look after yourselves .

Baz

Good afternoon Mollie & Baz.

Not done much today, rang gardener buthe goes away tomorrow to scotland for the weekend so cant get him till next week

Neighbour put the wheelie out so thats sorted, had a couple of croussants for brekkie, sliced open and done in the air fryer for 2 minutes then with butter on and strawb jam, oh wow, they are fantastic.

I seem to remember being asked what temperature i have the heating on, i forgot to answer and cant find who asked, anyway, my controller has the option to set the clock time, manual of auto, heating on or off, and a 6 list for setting the auto temperature, i just use 3, they are 8am = 20c, 12:30pm = 21c, 10pm = 19c overnight till 8am when 20c takes over.

The lobsters tasted ok, but what i had to do to get the meat out was rediculous, i usually get dressed lobsters, when i order from the fish market etc but they are pretty expensive  @ Β£30 each, you can buy uncooked tails or even live lobsters, not good as pets though as they are fussy eaters.

I will look into the party food, but i really need to work through my stocks, still cant see what food is in the garage freezer, am making headway but need to bring more inside yet.

Take it easy on your knee Mollie, they are sucha delicate part of the body and some wear out quicker than others, so strange.

Hicky
