Afternoon  Mollie and Hicky  πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°Sunny , but very cold here . A so so night , but I did manage a short walk first thing , snuggled up in my fleece lined denim jacket .🀣🀣Aside from that I’ve not done very much , just some washing , fed birds and some general tidying up . By the way , my blue tits are back .I’ve not seen any all summer , but there they were today , tucking into the feeder , bold as brass .🀣🀣I’m hoping that means they will start nesting in the bird box again .😁I hope everyone else is having a nice Sunday , and staying warm .😁

Mollie , I hope you were nice and cosy in your teddy stuff last night .Hope you’re having a good weekend , and managing to get some downtime .Hicky, I’m enjoying BB , but glad Farida went .I know what you mean about walking alone , especially after I broke my ankle …..but could  you not try a very short walk ….say just up the road , or round the block …see how  you go …..that’s how I started …and I definitely feel better for a walk .

Well it’s Woodwork and BB for me tonight …so a nice evenings viewing .Have a good one both …and take care of yourselves .

Baz

Good Afternoon Mollie & Baz.

Glad you managed a walk Baz, keep warm and enjoy your tV.

Nothing much going on here, my Iceland delivery came yesterday, minus a couple of items, so annoying, and like an idiot, i forgot to put the Alpro Creamy Oat drink on the list, so will have to wait till next time, still have some Alspr drinks left though. got an advent calendar (Malteser), a bit early though i suppose.

My lad was going to come and see me, son #3, he has just come back from holiday, bet he tested pos for covid, he was supposed to get the jab tomorrow, oh dear.

Its so hard to use up what food i have and not order more, but i do try, at this rate i wont be able to see whats in the garage freezer.

I know what you say about the walking, the fear i have is that i could fall for one reason or another and if i am on my own there would be noone to help me even get up, never mind call for help. there is noon around here walking really, only at times with a dog, its different in a shopping centre or somewhere with a lot of people, there is no through traffic here even for walkers, its all dead ends.

Hope Mollie is enjoying her Sunday.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  I hope everyone is having a good Tuesday . It’s sunny , but increasingly breezy here today , but I did go for a walk first thing . …and got some fresh air cos it’s looking wet for the next few days ! Aside from that I’ve done a load of washing , changed sheets and pillowcases , hoovered , cleaned the kitchen , and rescued the bin . I had a nice pork steak , and once I’ve ironed the bedsheet that’s me done for the day .

Mollie , I’m really enjoying BB …it’s shaping up nicely .I hope you are having a good day , and slept ok last night , snuggled up under your teddy bedding .Hicky , oh dear , I’m sorry your son got Covid …I hope he doesn’t have it too badly . I can totally understand your fear about walking , especially if there is no one around . Where I tend to walk there are usually dog walkers about .Bummer about forgetting the Alpro .

Well it’s BB and MAFS for me tonight …so another nice  trashy viewing night .Have a good evening both .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Glad you had a good day Baz, you do so much every day, its as if you are running a 10 room B&B.

I saw a man walking years ago, he suddenly frll flat on his face, noone was around so i pulled up and went over to him, he said he was ok and was going to his sons not far away, it scared the life out of me just seeing that.

Have just baked a Fray Bentos steak & kidney pie in the air fryer, it looks super., oh wow that was delish, 190c  for 25mins was fine.

Am slowly catching up with BB, a long way behind though.

Hope Mollie had a good day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Not a great night , and it  was wet and overcast first thing , so I decided to do the duvet shuffle today , rather than tomorrow , then the sun came out so I decided to go for a walk anyway . I therefore got double the exercise , so apart from that I’ve not really done much else …just fed the birds and cleaned the kitchen . I had lamb chops for lunch , and now I’m slobbing out on the sofa binge watching Judge Judy ….good grief  there are some right plonkers about .I hope everyone else is enjoying their Thursday and are managing to stay dry …it’s looking bad for tomorrow .

Mollie , I hope you were snuggly last night ….have you started wearing your fleecy nightdress  yet ?Yesterdays nominations were a bummer , eh !Hicky , trust me , it looks more on paper that I do .I totally understand your nervousness about walking ….i was like that after I broke my ankle ….and even now, even though my boots have good grips ,  I don’t go out if it’s icy ….and try to avoid any wet leaves etc. ..but I have to admit I do feel better after getting some fresh air on my walks …and it’s nice to be able to pass the time of day with the dog walkers , shop assistants etc …cos otherwise I’d not see a soul from one week to the next . By the way, I used to love fray bentos pies …a real blast from the past .

Well it’s another BB and MAFS night …it’s nice not to have to search around for something to watch .Have a good evening both , and take care .

Baz

Good evening Mollie & Baz.

Pity you didnt have a good night, at least you got a walk, this rain is dreadful, a daily event, or nightly.

I have switched off the greenhouse watering computer and the main controller, that all 4 turned off now, if weather ok tomorrow i will remove them and take the batteries out for the winter.

I saw a Cyril walking across my decking under the kitchen window, then it climbed up the fence to next door, not sure where it came from, but have a feeling it came from my neighbour on my left as her garden is at the side of my garage and we have a small 2ft section of fence between us.

I've got a dental checkup Monday and the water utilities are coming in the afternoon to sort the water meter grid/cover out so they can read the meter, my toilet sistern has a slow overflow problen as i can see a trickle in the loo, not good on a meter, was going to ask my lad, but he had or has covid so might have to wait, he installed it when we moved in as he did all the plumming and pipes for the central heating etc.

Hope Mollie had a good Thursday.

Hicky

Baz

sorry you had a bad night last night, hope its better tonight, as hopefully your body should be tired with double the exercise.

No I am not wearing my fleecy nighty yet, as we only had a couple of cold nights (around 3-4 degrees), then it went mild again and I was too hot under my teddy bed last night as it was 13c outside! Talk about changeable. But I guess we should never be surprised as we do live on an Island.

Am really enjoying our Benidorm Tea time club, I feel like we know all the characters there personally by now. And what a lot they are. Definatly "unique".

Hicky

What a shame your lad got covid, so couldn't visit you after all. Hope he is well again now. I didn't think people were testing for it now, but maybe some do for work reasons? Hopefully he can reschedule to see you again soon.

Sorry you are too nervous about taking a walk now. Do you have a walking stick, or have you thought about getting a disability scooter? (but they are expensive if you didn't have much use for it though). My friend (who has to have dialysis)  got one and loves it to pop down the local shops.

But its great news your eye has improved, so I hope that will help give you more confidence in general.

Hope they sort your overflow problem ok, because as you say, it costs on your water bill.

Hardly seem to have any free time lately, pup keeps us busy and still so much to sort in the house.

The shed is up at last, we ended up having to change to another company, as there was such a delay with the other one. The local company we went for did it real quick and MrM is pleased with it.

We hope to sort decking out next. MrM put a washing line up for me the other day, as the rotary line was in a shaded spot.

We have 2 lots of curtains up now, still quite a few to sort out yet. And we need to choose wallpaper/curtains for the lounge next.

Took pup to the shopping outlet today. Everywhere we go people stop and stroke her and she lies on her back for them to stroke her belly.   She is so friendly with people and other dogs too.

We have bought her this ...Its a Pup's 1st Advent Calendar, and me and MrM have a Lindt choccy one each.

Am enjoying BB, luckily I have managed to squeeze in watching it, but with use of the pause button. (MrM has not been able to sort the cabling out yet for our recorder).

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

There seems to be a lot of covid around as it keeps changing varients so the jabs xant keep up, he thinks he got it on the plane coming home from holiday in Turkey, sucha nuisance.

I dont need a stick now, walking seems fine and with my heart being repaired a lot my breathing is fine, but if i was out walking on my own and i fell or collapsed what would i do, and if you break any bones at my age it is a very serious thing.

So strange about my eye, i wonder how it has gone back to pre-cateract op, its not 100% yet but its working fine with the other eye which is great for now, if it got even better it would be a miracle and i might be able to get the other cateract done, but cant untill the left can take over from the right of course.

Its going to be hard for the pup to open the advent calendar, you are so funny, never heard of that before.

Have ordered my next Iceland delivery, no frosen meals this week as have to use more of what i have in 2 freezers first, but love the fresh orange and Alpro creamy oat and fruit trifles, so nice to have them in the fridge for puds.

Hope Baz had a good night and a good day.

Hicky

Afternoon Meanies  Dry, quite sunny , but chilly here today. I did get a walk in though, even though I had to wade through a couple of large puddles though .Still, I got some fresh air , and saw two Cyril’s …in two different places . In , addition to which I’ve done a load of washing , fed wildlife , cleaned kitchen , and sorted the shopping delivery . I had some nice poached salmon for lunch , and , once the bath towel is dry , I’m done for the day .I hope everyone else is having a good Saturday .

Mollie , yes, our teatime club holidaymakers are a right bunch of plonkers , eh .Glad your shed is finally up …..and awwwwww at the puppies advent calendar .I am really enjoying BB …although I’ll enjoy it more once Kerry and Hallie have gone .Hicky, yes, there does seem to be increasing amounts of Covid about , if it gets any worse I think I’ll go back to wearing a mask in the shops again . How is your son doing ? Like Mollie says , have you thought about getting a mobility scooter , it might get you out of the house a bit more . Are you enjoying Strictly this year ?

Well it’s Strictly for me tonight ,Have a good evening both . Take care .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Glad you got a walk in Baz, not surprised about the puddles, i had a mobility scooter a few years ago while staying somewhere in Australia, it was probably Cairns but i wasnt on my own, always had 3 others with me. only walking though, it was just to save me walking too far, i could get one but i would be on my own here of course and i dont fancy that.

I dont think the covid masks do much, they are more for if you have it to stop you spreading it, it wont stop you getting it.

Havent heard from son since he got covid, another son has had it twice, the one in Cornwall.

I havent seen much or strictly, its recorded though.

My Iceland delivery came, no missing items which was good, got loads of the packet cup of soups, enjoy 1 of them in the afternoon, loads of the packs of 3 fruit trifles, love thm, more frsh orange, more Alpro creamy oat, so nice, kitkat and green olives, those to go with my feta cheese as a snack.

Got F1 from the USA this weekend so happy with that.

Hope Mollie has had a good day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Overcast , but still dry here …although looks like there is more rain in the forecast ! Consequently, cos I had a reasonable night and feel a bit better today  , I  went for a walk first thing …and saw a Cyril …well actually the backside of a Cyril as it scuttled off into the undergrowth !They have finally removed the fallen tree ….but dropped loads of foliage on the path as the were taking it away !Aside from that I’ve not done much , just changed bed sheets and pillowcases , done two loads of washing and put bins out ready for collection tomorrow . Once I’ve done some ironing that’s me done for today .I hope everyone else is having a good Monday .

Mollie , we’ve spoken ….……and I’ll meet  you in Benidorm later …so bring your sun tan lotion, sun glasses , and tacky clothing .Hicky , I think as long as you wear the masks properly they help …at the very least they won’t make things any worse . I used to love cuppa soup  β€¦I’m afraid , because of the onions and garlic …they are off the menu these days .

Well it’s another full nights viewing ….Home improvements , BB and MAFS.Have a good evening both , and take care .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Gad you had an ok night and gpt a walk, spme awful weather around, certainly up north.

I had a busy day yesterday, 1 load washing, into 1 load in dryer, then i had to sort and fold the clothes and put away, then 1 load into dishwasher, then i had to put all the stuff away.

Had the dentist this morning, all ok, then water guys came to take water reading and repair grid, but they didnt bring a new grid ;id, they said they usually have one in the van, but they didnt so they marked it down as needed replacing, what a waste of time, they go out on a day to repair the grids but dont have a spare.

Why are the cup of soups off the menu now, what has changed? i have the chicken and the cram of veg with croutons, nice.

Hope Mollie had a good weekend.

Hicky

both

Hicky

Glad the dentist went ok today.

Fancy the water guys coming out to do a job and don't have what they need!

Oh yes I remember now you saying you had a scooter when you were on hols and got on ok with it and you weren't on your own then.

I agree, don't think the masks do a lot to protect you from what I have read, and are in fact bad for breathing in CO2 and not enuf oxygen, plus can breed bacteria.

That's good your Iceland had nothing missing. I was pleased with my Ocado too, I had a big order and nothing missing.

Baz

glad you had a reasonable night and so felt ok today.

Sounds like the Cyril's by you, are keeping busy preparing for winter, as you saw one again today.

I am enjoying our daily trips to Benidorm, but sad to see no Ant today , or any of our old faves. Let's hope this series is as enjoyable as the last (if its a new series).

Shame you can't eat the cuppa soups now.

Went to Ikea to get son's wardrobe on Friday. Her hubby and mrM put it in the back of their van, else it would've cost us Β£40 delivery. So MrM and son were busy putting it up over the weekend. mrm said it was no trouble putting it up, even though it was a huge one. Unlike, the shelves he bought for the sheds, not well made, he said and terrible to put together.

Bought these from the Pet Shop for the pup for Christmas yesterday, as she likes squecky toys.

Went to Costco today, it was really busy. Think people have started Christmas shopping.

Had a jacket potato and cheese to take away.

Not a bad day today weather wise, bit cloudy but dry with bit of sun.

Looking forward to BB. Am enjoying it, as it is more back to the old type of BB.

Goodnight both. xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

I thought that about the masks as i have COPD so wearing it didnt help at all, if i stayed calm i was ok breathing, good job i didnt have to work in one, but as you point out, other factors make them a waste of time, unless of course you have covid, i suppose thats why they advised everyone to wear them as noone knew who had it and who didnt so if everyone woe them it could help you by the carrier wearing one.

Yes, i never went out on the scooter on my own, my eyes arent good, i would get run over hear and cant see the kerb edges etc very well, in Oz all the kerbs have scooter access, not too sure what we have.

I didnt get any frozen meals as i have so much stuff to use up, i just keep my eye on anything that is running low, love tinned food as it lasts for ever, also dried food and jars, only get a few fesh foods as they dont last do i have to eat pretty quick.

I love Richmand sausages, my lad in Cornwall gets the thisk pork 12 pack, each sausage is 51g, i usually get the 40 pack but each one is 42g, i have since found a 6 pack of Jumbo ones, each one is 90g, on my next order of course.

You could be right, people want to get stuff in early in case it runs out, cant blame them really, but some always leave it to the last minute.

Hope Baz had a good night and day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Very foggy here this morning , and still a bit misty now …although the sun has just come out . But I had a fairly decent night , so I went for a short walk first thing . ..and blew away some very foggy cobwebs . My favourite local shop is changing hands soon  , from one food chain to another , so the shelves are pretty empty now ….but luckily the lovely staff are staying .  Aside from that I’ve not done a lot , just some washing , and general tidying up .I hope everyone else is having a good Wednesday .

Mollie , awww those are cute doggie toys .I didn’t see any Cyril’s today , but it was so foggy I probably wouldn’t anyway . Looking forward to a change of key on teatime club .By the way , my new bedding is due to be delivered tomorrow …I’ll let you know what it’s like, I’m really enjoying BB .Hicky , glad the dentist went ok .Bummer about the water board /grid though …how annoying . I hear what you say about masks , but I’ll still probably wear one if things get worse again this winter .

I love that BB and MAFS make my evening viewing schedule easy .I presume ITV will be putting I’m a Celeb on once BB finishes , so that will be another three weeks of easy viewing .Have a good evening both , and take care l

Baz

Baz

glad you had an ok night, hope you do tonight too.

That's good you got a walk in. Wonder who your local shop are changing to? Hicky's changed not long ago, think it changed to Morrisons?

I too am enjoying BB, like the tasks, they have obviously spent money and time planning them this series. And they certainly do seem to wind them up. Wonder if they will do a Celeb BB? At a guess, if they do, they won't do one until after I'm A Celeb ends, so some time next year. Its nice you have some tv you enjoy to watch, but what is MAFS?

Hope you are pleased with the bedding, it looked nice from the photo I saw.

Hicky

yes good job you didn't have to work in a mask as you have COPD. But as you say, they were probably introduced for those who had covid to stop coughing all over the place.

Oh yes, the kerbs could be a worry for you if in a scooter and on your own. My friend has one and most kerbs do have drop kerbs for scooters/prams now but she finds a big problem with cars and vans parked on pavements forcing her to go onto the road, and a couple of times vans have opened their doors onto her.

I agree tinned food can come in very useful as it stores so well.

What are you watching on tv lately? I think you said you were recording BB?

Nice day again today. Went for brekkie with friend and her grandson. But when we got to the usual place, their cookers weren't working , so we went to Toby instead. It was a help yourself meal and under Β£5 each and free for the little one, so can't complain.

MrM has bought some greyie/bluey paint for his shed that we both chose. So think it should look nice.

Goodnight both xx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Not done much today, had to unbold the back gate for neighbour to put wheelie out today, forgot last night.

Got a follow up cll from the water board about the grid, he said was it all fixed now, so i explained, he couldnt believe it either as another gang has to come out again now, but he said he would send me a new bill out.

I had some of those bean filled hash browns for brekkie, makes a change, they are rather nice, have ordered more for next order.

It was very misty / damp this morning when i went to unbolt the gate, it was nice and sunny later so i weng into the garage to get some more food from the freezer to bring onto the house freezer, still got too much so cant order any more meals for a few weeks yet, still got far too much.

Glad you got a walk in, i notice a lot of shops etc are changing hands, the problem being so many people, like me, are shopping online, why go out, it can be a risk and can cost you money to shop and you have to wander around then bring it all back home.

Got a letter from my energy supplier, they said they are cutting my monthly bill by half, they are crazy.

Of course you can wear a mask if you want, but if i saw you with a mask, i would assume you had covid as they dont so anything if you havent.

I watched a bit of my BB recordings, but i am miles behind.

Hope Mollie had a good day.

Hicky

Hicky

I too like those baked bean hash browns.

Yes a lot of smaller shops do seem to change hands now. Probably harder for some of them to make businesses viable at the moment.

As you say, they have a lot of competion now people shop online. But it is so much easier and saves lots of time. It takes an age for me to go to the supermarket and buy food for all the family (and doggie), so it saves me a lot of time and effort to get my Ocado shop each week.

Wonder if they are cutting your energy bill by half as they are taking summer useage into account, rather than the expensive heating in winter time? In 6 months time, wouldn't put it past them to double it up again!

BB is only on for 6 weeks, so you should have plenty of time to catch up, especially with Christmas schedule not far away, meaning we won't have much to watch other than old films.

I am really enjoying it. (I have to use pause to watch it most of the time and sometimes miss the end, but have managed to keep up to date so far).

Another nice day today, so got my washing dry on the line. MrM did the first coat of paint on his shed.

Still need to sort curtains out for the lounge and wallpaper. Have been ripping off sample paper in the DIY shops to see what we fancy.

Baz

hope you slept ok last night and had a good day. Shame I had to miss tea time club, but as my friend was picking her hubby up after work, we had to meet at 5pm. Its the same friend who gave us the best pressie ever...our puppy.

Hope you feel nice and cosy under your new bedding tonight.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz, Been watching the darts tonight from Dortmond, 4 days / nights so thats good, also got F1 from Mexico as well

Its not easy for small shops to buy the stuff cheap enough, unlike the big stores who buy in bulk, also it depends on where a shop is, whether people pass, shop in a sideroad suffer more of course, but most suffer from so many shopping online, i think for some clothes and shoes more go to the shop of course so shps have to think about that.

Yes, i was thinking that about the energy cost, they put it up last time as they had dropped it a year earlier so then i owed Β£400 and had to factor that in to get it back and also pay for the energy, i give up.

Just checked bank, they took Β£245 yesterday and gave me Β£118 back today.

Thats strangr 6 weeks, i wonder if thats why they started late, its usually on in the summer for 13 weeks isnt it.

I have been only boiling the amunt of water i need each time in the kettle, i keep everything to a minimum, same with lights, turn them off when i leave a room, also blinds and curtains, only open anything ifn the sun is shining through as that gives heat in the room, i open the shutter slats on the room i stay in, i can see through the slats but it would be hard to see in of course.

Hope Baz has had a good night and day.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°I hope you are all having a nice Friday . I slept quite well , but not feeling great today . The weather was dry , so  I did go for a 3k walk first thing …I just needed to get out of the house …and saw Cyril’s in two places …which brought a big smile to my face …they are soooooo cute .🀣🀣Aside from that , I’ve fed the birds , hoovered up and downstairs , cleaned kitchen and done a load of washing …so not a totally wasted day .🀣🀣

Mollie , I hope you’re day is going well …..my new bedding was really, really cosy last night .🀣🀣My local shop is changing to Asda .😁I’m enjoying BB too…..and I believe they are doing a Celeb BB next year .πŸ‘πŸ»MAFS is Married at First Sight 🀣🀣Talk about a load of  plastic numpties ….but Ros and I have great fun pulling them apart .🀣🀣πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

Hicky , have the water board been back yet ? I manage my energy bills online , so I check each month and adjust the direct debit as I need to . At the moment I’m about Β£300 in credit , but will probably be in debit by December …so will put the dd up then .🀣πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

Well it’s BB eviction and GB for me tonight 🀣🀣Have a good evening both , and look after yourselves πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

Good Afternoon Mollie & Baz.

Strange you had a good night but now so good today Baz, wonder why that is, at least you got your walk in.

A Celeb BB will be interesting, i imagine ones with very strong personalities, that would be a scream.

The water board havent been back yet, they take so long ro do anything.

Made a couple of small hotdogs for brekkie, going to have fine egg noodles and bolognese for tea, finished my Iceland order, will see if i can get my usual saturday 11:30-1:30 delivery slot later.

Still havent put any meals on the order, still trying to get through my stock, i just like to have different food each meal to keep it interesting.

Hope Mollie has had a good day and not done too much.

sorry you felt a bit off today. Hope you improved as the day went on. Good job you could go for a walk and its a bonus that you saw the Cyrils.

Your bedding sounds lovely, I am going to look at getting some the same.

Have you worn your teddy trousers yet? I haven't yet as it hasn't got that cold yet.

That will be nice to have Celeb BB to look forward to.I have gone off IAC, so probably won't watch it, but am usually busy in the evenings that close to Christmas any way. Wonder if they will have DOI.? Hope Holly doesn't do it any more and we get fresh presenters if they do it. Oh yes, I know MAFS now, I did catch an episode one Sunday morning and enjoyed it. But what a bizarre idea really !

We have registered and provided DD details for our new provider once we moved, but haven't had a bill yet. So I wonder do you just look up what you own and pay direct, or do you wait for them to tell you how much to pay?

I get the water bill every 6 months by post and then pay it from my bank.

Hicky

Hot dogs for brekkie is different.

When we go to Toby for help yourself brekkie, one of the items are Yorkshire puds, which I thought was a bit different. But I did enjoy one with my usual brekkie type items.

Managed to get the washing on the new line that MrM put up for me. It nearly but not quite dried, so will finish it off in the laundry room on the airer. The boiler is in there, so it is a nice warm room. We were lucky we also got a pantry leading off our kitchen here, which is great for all the food we need for the family.

I have bought myself one of these for my Friday night eviction treat....they are yummy.

Cadbury Dairy Milk Mousse Snowman

Do you still like a bit of a choccy treat Hicky?

I do, but have to ration it because of my big belly.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

I had the hotdogs as it uses 3 sausages and 2 of the hotdog rolls i have in the freezer, i have to keep using stuff up or else it gets left.

I miss a pantry, always had one when i was young, but i dont suppose we had all the kitchen cupboards we have now.

I have some choc treats, Kitkat & quality street, the portion size for sweets is 2, but i have 3.

I got 3 Toastie Warnurton thick 800g loaves on my Iceland order, gave one to the delivery girl, i buy the 3 for Β£3 so the third one costs 20p as they are Β£1.40 each.

Hope Baz had a good night and a good day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Lovely sunny day here , so I went for a walk first thing . I didn’t see any Cyril’s ….they obviously forgot to turn their clocks back .…. but I did see a very cute robin .Apart from that I’ve cleaned the bathroom , and kitchen , dusted , and done a load of washing …so not a totally wasted Sunday .I hope everyone else is enjoying their extra hour .

Mollie , I hope you are having a good weekend .yes, MAFS is a very strange idea , but the contestants are so ott that Ros and I love it .There is defo DOI cos they’ve posted the contestants on their FB page .Ros and I have recorded Survivors cos it looked suitably trashy .Hicky , yes, I’m hoping they have some stroppy ones on Celeb BB …it always livens things up . Sorry the water board haven’t been back to sort things out . But I hope you are having a good day …and enjoying the sunshine .

Well it’s a full evenings viewing for me tonight ….Woodwork, BB , and Survivors lI hope you both have a good evening , whatever you are doing . Take care .

Baz

Good afternoon Mollie & Baz.

Glad you got your walk in this morning, nice and sunny here as well, havent been out though.

I have darts and F1 all weekend so thats fine for the tv, have got a bag of raw seafood mix 350g to cook for tea, got it from Iceland, 3 bags for Β£10.

Had 1 of the Richmond Jumbo sausages for brekkie, @ 90g each thats rather nice.

Had a message from No.#4 son, he has arrived in Oz with his family.

Hope Mollie has a good day.

Hicky

bothx

Baz

that's nice you have a full evenings viewing planned.

Glad you got your walk in and saw a robin too. One was on our garden fence yesterday. When we had a bird table at our last house, the robin was always the boss over the many sparrows there. And chased them off at food time.

Is there anyone of interest on DOI this time? Or are they mainly unknowns?  Hope someone interesting hosts it.

Hicky

that was nice of you to give the delivery person the 3rd loaf, but as it worked out at only 20p, it would have been a shame to waste it.

Gosh a portion size of 2 chocs seems a bit tight, no wonder you have 3. I would too.

I bet you are enjoying your darts and F1 this weekend.

Is your son in Oz for hols with the family? How long is her there for? Late spring, so not a bad time to go too. Is he in a hotel?

Not a bad day today, washing dried nicely in the sun. The breeze was  a bit cool, so I didn't sit out for long. But was glad for a bit of sun and a sit down.

MrM finished painting the shed whilst it was nice and dry. The pale blue does look nice.

Puppy has taken herself off to bed an hour earlier  time wise tonight, (from the clock) as she doesn't understand the clocks have changed an hour, so she could have stayed up an hour later.

Son fancied Mcdonalds as he was tired after work today, so I treated myself to one of these. It was so yummy and seasonal too.

Have a good evening.

Goodnight both  xxx

Evening Mollie & Baz.

No, son & fam had to go back to Oz for a coupleof reasons, one being to sort out something to do with suer annuation or something to do with a pension, other for his mrs to do with life visa or something, but they had to be in Oz to do it, he's just going for a month.

That Twix carton looks nice, it looks like a tub of popcorn.

Hope Baz had a good night and day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  The wind is starting to get up here ….and it’s looking like rain …..but I did manage a short walk first thing ….popped to the local shop …and got some fresh air . I also cleared up some Virginia creeper leaves off the front lawn ….then the gardener came to mow the lawn , so I could have left the bliddy things ,Aside from that I’ve not done much , just some washing and cleaned the kitchen . I had lamb chops for lunch and that’s me done for the day .I hope everyone else is having a good Wednesday .

Mollie , looks like you are going to get the worst of the storm today and tomorrow .Just make sure you stay safe down there .Awww how cute that your doggie went to bed an hour early .I like the sound of your shed colour .They are getting very uptight about bb on fb ….its just like old times .Hicky , your son sure gets about .Are you watching BB ? I think they’ve done quite a good job with it …much better than C5 did.

It’s BB and MAFS for me again tonight .Whatever you are doing I both you have a nice evening . Take care .

It seems to be that sort of weather lately, so good job you managed to squeeze a quick walk inbetween showers.

Its quite windy here today and heavy showers on and off , including hail!

Yes, they say another storm is on the way, but often when they say that, it doesns't happen, so let's hope it doesn't.

Is that the last lawn mow of the season now? I should think it won't grow much more now.

That is interesting that people are getting uptight on FB about BB.

I do remember the olden C4 days when people used to feel really strongly about the HM's.

At least they are doing well with their viewing figures, which I think is well deserved as it has been a good series so far.

I really enjoyed the Halloween task (even though I am not keen on Halloween at all).

I agree, they have put some work into the planning for BB this year. And have done so much better than C5 did. Very good tasks. Plenty of time and money must have gone into them.

Hicky

Hope you are having a good day.

A month in Oz should be nice for you son and his family this time of year. Is he in Queensland?  Those youngsters are certainly well travelled for their ages.

Went for brekkie with my friend and her grandson this morning. We go to Harvester, which is always good food and very friendly staff who know our order off by heart. The waitress even puts the little ones shoes and coat on for him.

Time to do some vacuuming, and sort the dishes and washing out now.

Then my Ocado shopping arrives later. As usual. they have nothing missing off my order, so that's good.

Have a good afternoon both xxx

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Only had to small groups of Halloweeners, weather was awful so dont blame them, problem is i got 120 Haribo mini packs for them, now i have about 100 left or more.

That made me laugh Baz, reading what you said, i quote, ".popped to the local shop …and got some fresh air ." I dont think the shops by me sell fresh air, i will check.

I'm recording BB, got so many programs to watch but so many that i want to watch live as well as i can only record 2 at a time.

Son is in Sydney at the moment, but he might move after a week.

The only thing missing off my Iceland order was  a bottle of virgin olive oil, it was there when i ordered, but maybe it wasnt and their stock is out of date.

I rather like the Alpro creamy Oat drink, will try and keep it in stock so i can drink it like i used to with cows milk, i have been trying coffee black, its ok so will carry on like that.

Hope you both had a lovely Thursday.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Sunny intervals here today ….but I think more rain is on the way ! I had a bad night , but I did go for a walk first thing , so blew some cobwebs away .Aside from that I’ve emptied the bins , changed sheets , dusted , and fed the birds ….so more productive than yesterday .I have had lamb chops for lunch , and just the sheet to iron , then my day is done .I hope everyone else is having a nice Friday .

Mollie , I’m enjoying BB ….but I’d forgotten how bad it was for my blood pressure !I detest Trish with a passion ….horrible  sanctimonious woman …but something tells me she isn’t going to be evicted tonight β€˜Glad you weren’t too badly effected by the storm ….and that we bought a nice villa yesterday .Hicky , lol at the shop thing .I didn’t have any trick or treaters …so like you , I have a couple of bags  treats left ! We used to get lots of kids knocking at the door in the past . Have you heard anything from the water board yet ?

Well it’s eviction night , so that’s sorted out my viewing .Have a good evening both , and look after yourselves l

Baz

Baz

Aaaww sorry you had a bad night, hope you have a better one tonight. But good job you managed to get a walk in.

lol @ BB being bad for your blood pressure. I too don't like Trish, so hope she goes, as she is the most unpleasant of them.

Yes thankfully, no storm here, just the usual wind and rain we can expect this time of year.  We have bought some tasty tv property this week.

Hicky

Shame you didn't get your olive oil, but hopefully you will get it next week.

Hope your son is enjoying Sydney. Wonder if he will go to visit Queensland again? That was our fave part of Oz.

I think I will give the creamy Alpro drink a try, sounds nice. And I like a nice creamy coffee.

Gosh 100 bags of Harribo left. You are certainly not short of sweet treats now.

There are a lot of families on our estate, so we had a lot of Halloween kiddies. We had to go out to shops later on, so we just left the sweeties outside. Most were gone when we came back, but not all of them. But the kiddies that came to the door when we were home, were very polite and only took one each, so am not surprised there were a few left.

Did house jobs this morning, so I could go for late lunch with my friend, son and mrM (as they had today off work). I had veggie burger, then apple crumble with custard. Very nice.

A nice day, cool breeze but plenty of son.

We have decided to get someone in to do the decking, as there is too much grass for MrM to keep cutting and we want an area in the sun to be able to sit in. Then MrM will put gravel down in some areas and slabs in others. As weather gets colder, MrM won't be able to do much more in the garden, so we will start on more indoor jobs. (never ending when you take on an ex-rental that has had nothing done in 19 years). Cant complain though, as that meant we could afford to buy it, as it was cheaper than places unready done up.

Have a good evening both xxx

Evenin Mollie & Baz.

Sorry you had a bad night baz, mine is usually ok, usually get up for a wee, then i get some water, got up at 10:30 this morning, am usually up by 10am unless i have an appointment or something.

Iceland delivered ok, changed by bloomer from to medium, dont like medium really, i got 6L of the Alpro creamy oat, as it is good in coffee or on brekkie, and so nice to drink as well, i get the fresh orange also, that is fantastic.

I settled for an olive oil spray, it will do for what i need.

Well, the kiddies come round in groups, if they came on their own i would have been up and down all night, safety in numbers of course.

I agree with the decking etc, i wouldnt have real grass, my stone is 20mm blue slate, its beautiful

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Not a bad night , and the weather is ok …..although it’s still very wet underfoot ….so I managed a walk first thing . No signs of any Cyril’s though . I’ve done a load of washing , hoovered and cleaned the kitchen ….so quite a lazy Sunday  chez Baz .I had lamb chops for lunch and that’s me done for the day . I hope everyone else is enjoying their day .

Mollie , I hope you are having a good day , and the puppy hasn’t been too stressed by the fireworks .Bliddy awful result on Friday ….the air was blue here !Sadly I reckon we are going to be stuck with the bliddy woman, and she might actually win …in which case my tv will be in danger !Sounds sensible getting someone in to do the decking .Hicky , my alarm goes off at 7.45 …although I’m usually awake before then , I get up and make a cup of tea and take it back to bed for an hour .

Well it’s a full evening viewing for me tonight ….strictly results , woodwork, bb, and yesterdays survivor .Have a good evening both .

Baz

Good afternoon Mollie & Baz.

Fireworks last night, from after 6 till, not sure, maybe 10 or so, so annoying.

Glad you slept all right Baz, i dont put an alarm on usually, unless i have to be up early, which is seldom.

I am in a habit of turning lights off if i leave a room, with lecky so expensive still, and i only put the exact amount of water in the kettle that i want out, or i will pour it all over my hand.

I have found a use for the dozens of Iceland carrier bags, they fit nice in my waste bin in the kitchen, a bit small but i just take it out to the wheelie more often, very handy, saves me using my big black bags.

Hope Mollie had a good Sunday, and puppy.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  I hope everyone is having a good Tuesday . It’s been sunshine and showers here today , but I had a reasonable night , and feel much better today , so I went for a long walk first thing ….still no signs of the Cyril’s though .Aside from that I’ve washed , cleaned bathroom , rescued the bins , and took up some cargo pants I bought a couple of weeks ago ….porks chops for lunch …..so not a totally wasted day .

Mollie , that was a nice villa we bought yesterday ….I am sure Dame will be happy.I am guessing we are not going to be happy  after the face to face noms tonight !I hope your day is going well though .Hicky , I always turn the lights off when I leave a room too ….plus I’ve got battery operated sensor lights on the stairs and in the bedroom , so I dont need to put the lights on in those rooms .Have you heard from the water board yet ? Good use of the iceland bags .Ocado deliver in carrier bags , and charge 10p each for them….but if you give them back the next week they refund the money .

It’s Bake Off , BB and MAFS for me tonight ….so a good evenings viewing .Have a good evening , and take care both .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Glad you slept ok Baz and not a bad day, i didnt do anything apart from putting some rubbish outside in the wheelie.

No word from water board about my grid cover, or from gas board about my meter not reading to my display so it wont be going to the gas board either.

Have changed my 3 indoor bins over to iceland carrier bags now, cant get too much in but will take them out more often to compensate.

I checked on iceland for Lobster, and to my surprise they showed up, they didnt when i last checked some time ago, wonder if its because its not far off christmas, anyway, have made an order out with mainly labsters and prawns.

Hope Mollie has had a good Tuesday.

glad you had a reasonable night and a nice long walk. With these heavy showers we have been having lately, you have to fit in a walk when you can.

yes we did well on the villa front for a few nights, so kind of Dame again.

I am enjoying a bit of DD too. Although it does seem rare to see any go on another date.

I like the way Ocado deliver in bags and refund you when you return them. Asda and Morrisons started expecting you to take each item out of their delivery trays and not supply bags. I found it hard work.

I turn lights off when not using a room, but one of my lads is terrible. I think he thinks he lives in Blackpool tower. He even leaves lights on in broad daylight. Drives me mad keep telling him!

Hicky

I love the Iceland carriers. They are the strongest and biggest I have come across for a basic carrier. So not surprised you have found a good use for them. Think I will get a delivery booked in for them, as we have been too busy lately to visit in store. I think it is free if you spend over Β£25. We are too short of the Cathedral City stuff, which we all enjoy. How lucky you managed to get your lobster from them now. As you say, must be because of Christmas. The supermarkets are full of special Christmas food right now.

MrM finally sorted out our Ring doorbell. You are right, it is so good. We have paid for the monthly recording subscription. Do you have that? I looked through them all last night in bed. I can't believe how many daily recordings we have on ours. We have 24 already just for today and son isn't even home yet. But our house is a bit like a hotel with all the comings and goings, pup walks and daily deliveiries too.

I don't need an alarm as it is so busy here from very early. I realised this morning that by the time they had all left for work by 8am today, I was done in, with trying to find who was coming home for tea, what they needed washing for work or drama, what shopping to add to my Ocado due tomorrow and cooking the doggie's brekkie, and mrM had to help inflate son's flat tyre on the works van. A morning coffee was much needed.

Then I had to hunt round the shops to find a black polo shirt for son this afternoon, as his new job needs him to wear them and he only had one. Luckily I managed to get hold of 2 in Matalan.

I am glad firework night is over. They were very loud this year. Our pup rarely barks but was so scared she barked and growled for 3 nights on the trot. By night 3 she wasn't barking for quite so long though. Very stressful for her and us!

Am off for brekkie with my friend and her grandson in the morning, thank goodness someone else will cook and clear up for me. My dishwasher constantly needs loading here and as soon as I put it on, more things appear.

Also my shopping arrives at 8 before I go, so at least I dont have to go food shopping either.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

I'm glad Iceland seem to be using the carrier bags rather than those long clear plastic bags, i couldnt do anything with them so put in the recycle bin.

There is a lot of setting and zones you can set and use on the ring camera's, i also set the snapshot which takes a picture every minute, i am paying the yearly cost as it saves monthly payments going out all the time, i have the doorbell and 2 internal camera's but they are facing out so dont record sound but capture anyone or anything in the area i set in the Motion settings. my lad in Cornwall & one in Oz also have access the the recordings so they can see who comes and goes, and can see me when i go out and come back.

I wonder why animals are scared of fireworks, how can they be born scared like that, they have never seen or heard a mgun shot, i dont understand how they can be scared.

My next order is mainly sea food, Lobsters and prawns, cleaner told me a very good degreasing spray for my induction hob and air fryer, its called Elbow Grease, its a degreaser spray and its on Iceland so added to my order for Saturday.

I got the cleaner, well one of them, to change my duvet over to the autumn/spring on which is a 10 tog the one i took off was a 4.5tog, i have a winter one which i may not use, think its a 15 tog.

Hope Baz had a good night and day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  It was sunny , but very cold this morning , but it’s pouring with rain now ! Not a bad night , so I did get a walk in first thing though , so I got some fresh air …but no Cyril’s today ….i think there were probably too many dogs about !  Aside from that I’ve not done an awful lot …just some washing , and hoovering . I was going to pop to the local shop for some milk , but given the weather it can wait .I had bacon steaks for my lunch , and that’s me done for the day . I hope everyone else is enjoying their…checks calendar … Thursday .

Mollie , sounds like you’ve been a busy bee . BB is driving me mad .I really like Ocado too …..Sainsbury makes me take things out of the trays too …and as you say it’s a total pain ! I hope you have a lovely time tonight .Hicky , that elbow grease sounds good …let me know if it’s ok.I love lobster , but not had any for years now .Glad your cleaner changed the duvet for you ,

Well it’s another full evenings viewing for me …MC , BB , and MAFS .Have a good one folks .
