Evening Mollie & Baz.

So strange about  my left eye, i never found out what happened and why the central vision all went later after i had the cateract op, but that was years ago, the only thing since that has changed is my food maybe, the meds from the heart specialist, which mended that, so no idea really.

Jusr had a piece of salmon fillet and a few roast spuds, so quick in the air fryer/grill to cook anything, i love that Alpro Oat over my Frosties, wow, is that good.

Yes, so much to do when you move house, it will take months but just do a little at a time, some stuff will wait anyway.

At least you managed a lunch out with your friend. ph wow, strawberries with icecream and cream, that takes some beating.

Hope Baz has had a good Sunday.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Well it chucked it down most of the morning , but I had to post a card so I managed to get to the post box and back between downpours .I was rewarded by seeing two Cyril’s chasing each other around .Aside from that I’ve had quite a productive day ….hoovered , cleaned bathroom and kitchen  , put the bin out ready for collection tomorrow , and done a load of washing ….so go me . I’ve also booked my Covid jab for this week .Just the birds to feed once the rain stops again . Oh and I’ve officially declared autumn has arrived and out my sandals away and got my boots out .I hope everyone else’s Monday is going well too .

Mollie, I hope your weekend went well , and that you didn’t get washed away down there . As Hicky says just do a little at a time , it will all get done eventually .The Benidorm thread was fun yesterday , wasn’t it .I hope you can make it for teatime club this week .Hicky , it’s strange about your eye , but like I say mine has changed too . I used to be very short sighted and had to wear glasses all the time from the age of 10  , now the only time I need them is for watching tv .

Well it’s HGTV and the new Caroline Quentin series about UK national parks for me tonight .Have a good evening both , and take care .

Aaww how nice you saw 2 Cyrils when you popped out. I bet they are getting busy now hiding their nut stashes before winter arrives.

Tea time club has made a good start this week. I can confirm I am now an official member of the Ant fan club. Do you want to join me, so we can double the membership?

Hicky

It is brilliant how your eye has improved, as I know how worried you were about your eyesight getting worse.

Sounds like you are enjoying your Alpo Oat milk. I really enjoy my coffee with goats milk now. Haven't tried the Alpo milk yet.

I too am amazed how usefull the air fryer is. When I cook small potatos with skin on, I make extra, then air fry them with a bit of butter and the family enjoy them more than normal chips.

I made extra mash potato the other day, so yesterday I then added flour to the mash, divided them into small shapes. I covered each one in flour, and fried it in butter as potato cakes. The family all enjoyed them.

Very wet and windy this morning, but rain seems to be easing now, but the strong winds aren't. So staying home today.

Yes you are right Hicky, we will be sorting stuff for months yet, as I am still opening cupboards and finding stuff shoved in them that we haven't unpacked yet. We also need to put curtains up in most rooms yet, to keep draughts out for winter, as we only have the white blinds up so far. They look nice but don't keep out chills and light. Son nearly finished decorating his room now, MrM finished painting the kitchen and he put this up on the wall.....

VERY VERY RARE! Ikea Premiar World Map - Huge Wall Canvas!! 200cm x 140cm 2

Its huge and took him an age to get right. We bought it about 10 years ago from Ikea and put it in the garage and forgot about it. Ikea stopped making it some years ago as there was a disagreement about them labelling the "Sea Of Japan".  South Korea said it should be called the "East Sea".

MrM intends to paint the 2 bathrooms next.

Time to prepare the veg for tea.

Have a good day both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & baz.

Keep getting riain on and off, good job i switched the watering off for the non greenhouse watering as it shows rain most days, cant tuen it off for the greenhouse as the chilies seem to be in full swing, no idea what to do with them yet.

So strange about my eyes, my good one might be going worse, that doesnt help, my glasses might have the wrong lens for my left eye now, will have to see.

Yes, the Alpro milk is so good, not cheap tho but so nice to use or drink.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky Rained all morning , but the sun is out now . I had another bad night , but tomorrow is another day . I’ve had my Covid booster this morning , so cue a sore arm .Aside from that I’ve not really done much , just some hoovering , washing , and general tidying up . I had lamb chops for lunch and now I’m curled up on the sofa for the rest of the afternoon .I hope everyone else is having a nice Wednesday , whatever you are up to .

Mollie , your kitchen looks lovely …loving the map Yeah  count me in for the Ant fan club ….but don’t expect me to wear any gold lurex shorts !Yes, I expect the Cyril’s are stocking up for winter now .I hope your day is going ok and I’ll see you at 5 o’clock. Hicky , I’ve toyed with getting an air fryer ….but do the cook anything but fried food ….say chops …or it just chips and things ? I’m glad you are liking the Alpro milk .

Well it’s a *trashy * tv night …First Dates and Married at First Sight . I hope you both have a good evening . Take care .

Good afternoon Mollie & Baz.

The Ninga Foodi Grill i bought last cooks frys makes, does anything you want, it even has a probe if you want to cook roasts, steaks etc, it will do chops of course, anything you can do in an oven really.

Sorry you didnt have a good night, that ruins the day.

I have a flu jab booked for friday.

My lad and gf is coming round, it would have been Mrs H birthday today bless, they are going to pick meals up on the way.

Glad Mollie is slowly getting sorted, just so much to do, it must seem endless.

Had the podietrist here earlier so feet are ok now, have changed to winter clothes now as saturday last day of summer and heating has started coming on as its on auto using times and temperatures i set into it years ago, the small control umit has some buttons, one if i press turns auto to manual and lets me set a temperature, and another turns the heating off.

Aaww sorry you had a bad night, hope tonight is better and you are ok after your jab.

Glad you are joining me for the Ant fan club. Don't think I would get my big toe into shorts like Ants.

I am really enjoying Tea time club as the folks on it are just bonkers and eccentric ..

Hopefully at this time of year, you will continue to come across Cyrils on your walks.

The photo was not my kitchen, (its not that posh as it is just functional for a family)... it was just a photo taken off the internet to show you the canvas we have on the kitchen wall.

I think you would find an air fryer very usefull. I would be lost without ours.

Enjoy your trashy tv night

Hicky

Aaww , hope you can have some Happy Birthday memories for MrsH today.

Glad you have your son and gf coming round to see you today. Hope you enjoy your meal with them.

yes good point, now your eyes have changed, your glasses might not be so suitable for you now.

I have seen that Ninja Food grill advertised. Looks good, I need a new sandwich toastie maker. Does it make those?

Handy the podiatrist comes to visit you.

Son had a bleeding big toe, took him to private chiropodist last week and she sorted it out really well. It was a small piece of ingrowing toe nail digging into his flesh. She managed to pull it out and it has healed well now, so am well pleased. The NHS said he would need a op on it, but fortunately the private lady sorted it within half an hour for Β£35, so that's good.

I too am gradually switching to warmer clothes, but it is still quite mild at night, so still have summer quilt on.

I read the weather is to get warmer for awhile too. So hope the forecast is right.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Yes, it was nice having No.#3 son and gf round, we had fish and chips, well i did.

Am a bit concerned about my eyes, have a feeling the good one is going worse and the bad one improving, heaven know what that would do to my glasses.

Not sure about the ninja making a toastie as something has to hold the 2 pieces of bread together doesnt it?

Yes, and ingrowing nail can be very sore, and if it hrys infected you would be in trouble.

I switched to winter clothes and put the washing in and its in the dryer now for an hour or so.

Got the flu jab tomorrow, will get my hair and beard done as well.

I tried to otder my repeat prescription but the surgery has changed groups so MyGp app wouldnt work, rang surgery this morning, she said i need to delete app and get new one, she has ordered meds while its sorted, i need to get an email with codes i think.

Hope Baz had a better night.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky A sunshine and showers day here , but I had a decent night , and I feel much better today ( felt really rough yesterday from my Covid jab)  , so I managed to get a walk in between showers . Aside from that , I’ve done some washing , and a bit of tidying up in the back garden , so not a totally wasted Friday  chez Baz lI hope everyone is having a good day  too .

Mollie , ouch , in growing toenails are painful …hope they’ve sorted your son out now .Oh , about your kitchen …that will teach me to read posts properly !Yes, I’m enjoying our teatime club too ….there are some real nuts over there, eh .Hicky, I hope the flu jab went ok today. Nice of you son to come over on Mrs H birthday .Thanks for the info on the air fryer ….ill look into it again then .Ive also switched to my winter wardrobe , and my heating has been kicking in overnight the last couple of days .

Well its First Dates and Gogglebox for me tonight .Have a good evening both .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Glad you had a better night Baz, i have had a busy day really, went to barbers, got hair trimmed and washed, got meds from pharmacy as i was going next door to docs for flue jab, seemed strange going out without my white stick, eyes not too bad at the mo so dont need stick, walking good as well.

Have an Iceland delivery tomorrow, nothing special, just stuff to keep me going, depends what they have at the time though.

Having trouble with the MyGp app still, cant get it to work, and i checked one of the codes, the ODS code and its for the wrong surgery, its for another in the group, will see what they say nMonday when their tech people are in.

I did a nice mixed frill in the Ninja today, i have lined the base pan with foil, hate trying to cleen fat up, i put the food in the roasting tin, it was fine, let it preheat then put the food in for 6 minutes, using the roast setting and it set temp to 200c with 20 mins so as it was cooking i just altered temp down to 6min, so easy.

I was lucky i dodged the showers.

Hope molly has had a good day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Not a bad night , and so far the bad weather hasn’t arrived , so I went for a short walk first thing cos I needed to post a birthday card .Apart from that , I’ve hoovered up and downstairs , cleaned bathroom and kitchen , and done some washing ….so not a total waste of a day .Ive had some lamb chops for lunch , and that’s me done for today . I hope everyone else is enjoying their Sunday .

Mollie , I hope you’ve had a nice weekend ….and haven’t been overdoing it . Don’t forget it’s Benidorm at 8 tonight .Hicky , must be nice being able to get about without your white stick, but I can understand it must feel strange . I have worn glasses all the time since I was 10 , but now I never use them except to watch detailed stuff  on the tv .i hope your flu jab went ok .

Well it’s Benidorm , and Place in the Sun for me tonight , I think .Have a good evening , and look after yourselves .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz,

Glad your night was ok, Saturday was a pain, i was expecting an Iceland delivery so put off a vid call from The Philipines, just my luck, the delivery had a problem as i got a text saying it was running late due to unforseen circumstances, it arrived at after 3pm, was due 12:00 to 2pm, then it had to be put away so by 4pm it was 11pm in the Philipines, one bonus was that no items were missing, wow.

so we had a vid call today, the children get so excited, and the ducks have had 11 babies, but the father has disapppeared, probably flown off, and the found a chick outside the door the other night after hearing chirping, no idea where it came from, only about 1 week old, but he has to keep it from the ducks as the mother wont let anything near the ducklings, i snt some money for granddaughters 5th Birthday yesterday, he hasnt told her its her birthday as he's planning parties this week for her.

Had a smoked haddock fillit for brekkie and a bowl of hot and sour soup with extra prawns in, one of a load of mix packs i have had for years.

I recorded strictly & F1 so i can watch in leasure.

The grapes are getting sweeter, no idea what to do with them all though.

I've been having the Alpro Creamy Oat in my coffee, rather nice, didnt bother adding any sugar.

Very confused about my eyes, i will have to wait till next appointment, will probably find more out then.

Hope Mollie isnt overdoing it.

Hicky

both x

Baz

glad you had an ok night, hope you do again tonight and nice you managed to get out for a little walk.

Cant' believe your heating came on, its still quite warm here, especially at night. Pouring with rain now though.

Looking foward to see who we get on Tea time club this week, but the more bonkers they are, the better.

That is interesting how you wore glasses from such a young age, but rarely need them now. (a good thing though).

Hicky

hope you are ok after the flu jab and you got there and back ok.

How nice your eyes have improved so much that you can manage without the white stick now, but hope the other one isn't getting worse. Maybe it just appears to be, as the other one has improved so much?

Sounds like you enjoyed your mixed grill in the Ninja.

Think I will get a basic toastie maker as they are not expensive, and the lads enjoy a cheese toastie. Like you, we do seem to extensively use our air fryers though.

Hope they can help sort out your GP app.

We need a new dining table and chairs as our old ones are too big. We have a kitchen diner so want 4 chairs and table but not the huge one we have now. Ordered 4 chairs from Homebase but dont' find them comfy. Annoying as its so hard to find any in shops on display to try before you buy, so we wasted Β£20 in delivery charges! And MrM has to take them back to the shop now.

Been busy sorting stuff again, as MrM just finished some more decorating.

Need to get some mats for the hard flooring next , ready for the cooler weather.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Had no reaction from the Flu jab so happy with that, doent usually anyway, never had a problem.

Dont understand the eyes, pretty sure the goodish one is getting worse, maybe because it also has a catteract, which really need sorting but cant take a chance unless left eye can take the strain, it cant yet, but i think the left, bad one needs an injection brcause its bleeding again, pretty sure.

I've got a toastie maker but put it in the garage as it drove me mad, you really needed to trim the rounds of bread, and cheese oozed out everywhere as i had no idea how much to put in, got fed up in the end, it was a dual one, a decent single would be better, not sure if they make those, but with going off cows milk i'm not sure if cheese would bring back the phlegm.

Rather like this Alpro Oat, lovely in my coffee and also the Frosties, oh wow.

I had a go with the GP app, i used the NHS login and it was fine, i also tried the NHS app which i already had and that worked fine as well, i rang the surgery this morning as they said they would get an IT bloke to ring, which they didnt, i explained that the ODS number they gave me was for a different surgery in the group, they said no, its right, we use the new ODS number, i said but thats not my surgery, i also said if they are using the wrong ODS code then they are probably using the wrong Linkage Key, which is actually a passphrase/password which will expire, they said no, its the MyGp that hasnt been updated, i was very confused and told them i had sorted mine using the NHS login, how strange.

Thats a pain about the chair Mollie, i thought all dining chairs were the same size, cant you alter the size of the table with a few tools.

Hope Baz had a good night and a good Monday.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky Overcast , but no rain here , yet !  I had a decent night , but only went for a short walk first thing cos it looked like it might rain !  Still , at least I got some fresh air .Aside from that  I’ve done some washing , cleaned kitchen, rescued bins ,  and tidied away stuff in the garden , ready for the storm tomorrow !I had pork steak for lunch , and now I’m slobbed out on the sofa for the rest of the afternoon .I hope everyone else is enjoying their Tuesday .

Mollie , bummer about the chairs ! I really would like a new sofa …..cos we got a sofa bed when Mr B was ill and tbh it’s  bliddy uncomfortable ….but don’t want to buy one before I try it , but the two furniture stores we had in my town have both closed down , and the nearest one is over 10 miles away  , so not practical for a non driver ! Will see you for teatime club , although it doesn’t look like we will get any Ant action !Hicky, glad you finally got your video call …even though it was delayed . That Gp app sounds a nightmare .Glad your flu jab went ok ….i had no reaction to mine …but did after the Covid jab ….but it only lasted 24 hours .

Well Bake Off kicks off tonight ….so it’s that , and Married At First Sight for me tonight .I hope you both have a good evening . Take care .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Bax.

Not much happening here today, unlocked the big double gate so  the neighbour can get the bin to take to the road.

Had a nice Cathedral City cheesy cottage pie, it only gave instructions for an oven, frozen, so i did 3 minutes in microwave to defrost, then 25 mins in air fryer under a reheat setting, the oven time said 48 minutes.

Hope Mollie had a good day, glad you slept ok Baz.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Overcast here today , and rain forecast later , but at least it’s  not windy . And after several decent nights , I had a dreadful night ….i fell asleep on the sofa after I signed off the forum , woke up at 12.30 , and then hardly slept a wink for the rest of the night ! But I did manage a decent walk first thing , and I saw 3 Cyril’s …all of them looked like kids ….and one of them was being chased by a cat .I managed to chase the cat away , and the Cyril beat a hasty retreat up the nearest tree . Aside from that , I’ve done some washing , hoovered , dusted and cleaned the kitchen . No sign of the Cyril in my garden today, but I’ve stocked up the monkey nuts , just in case .I hope everyone else is having a good day , whatever you are up to .

Mollie , we’ve spoken ….but I hope your day is going well .Hicky , I hope things are going well in your world . How are your eyes ?  I see BB starts on the 8th October ….will you be watching ?

Apart from First Dates Ireland , I’m not sure what the viewing schedule is tonight , but I’m sure we will find something ….last nights was * interesting* .Have a good evening both .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

An intersting day, had a message from NHS saying i should book jabs, well i've hsd the flu one last week so looked online for a walk in one, got a taxi at 3:30 as they saud it should be better than as theyn are busy before that, taxi waited, i was only 5 minutes, wo, pleased with that,

Rang gardener, he's in the lake district, damn.

Had those cheesy breaded bites, the Cathedral City ones, nice, did them in the air fryer of course, 170c 8 mins, had half a pack yesterday, 6 is plenty for me, so good, if you like cheese.

Will check on the grapes tomorrow, they seem to be getting sweeter, pity i havent got the stuff to make wine, i made wine once many moons ago.

Hope Mollie had a good day

Hicky

both x

Baz

sorry you had such a bad night, hope tonight is better.

Naughty cat chasing a Cyril. Good job you were around. Hope they turn up in your garden now you have bought the monkey nuts.

It has been a good week at Tea time club this week.

Hicky

That is good you were ok after your flu jab, but why did they message you to go to a walk in one as well? Good job you weren't left hanging around though.

Cathedral City food is really good, we too love those cheey bites and like you we do the cottage pie in the microwave, then air fryer and it comes out well. Son fond some hash browns they do, so bought them too last week. Very nice.

Pity you can't get your gardener. He does seem to like his holidays.

I should imagine its quite hard work to make wine from your grapes, isn't it?

Good idea Hicky. MrM is quite a handy man, wonder if he can cut off a piece of the table?

The chairs we have are far too high for a kitchen, so want smaller ones.

Such a shame you can't get out to try some new sofas Baz, but it is so hard now to find shops that have furniture to try in store.

Went out for lunch with my friend today. I had ricotta/spinach canelloni with veg, very nice it was.

MrM been doing a lot in garden. Laid some slabs for me to get to washing line and put some more pebbles down the edge of the paths. Needs more slabs ready to put a shed down next.

Have a good day both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

The NHS messages are all automated so i assume they dont know what jabs i have had, only what i should get, the Covid jab was fin and had no ill effects o far, that one is my 7th now,

Its not hard to make wine, its having all the right equipment, not good unless you wanted to do it to sell etc, and of course i would have to buy all the equipment, and with my eyes it would be a waste of time.

Cant you cut the chair legs down, or get someone to do it, like a joinery place etc.

Mr M is going to be busy in the garden all right, always so much to do when you move house, make sure the shed doesnt sit on the slabs, depending on the base etc of the shed, it needs to sit on bricks really at various places, no wood should ever be able to sit in water, it must be insulated from the ground or any water below it, static water and wet soil are woods wordt enemy.

I took a wander down the garden, the grapes are defo getting sweeter, took another small apple off as they are ripe, not really sweet but nice and juicy and crunchy which is nice, most a bit small but that because i didnt take enough of when they were young< i'll see if the neighbours want some.

Hope Baz had a good night and a good day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Not a bad night for me , but it’s rained on and off all day here , so no walk , although I did take a trip  to the local shop for some bird food .  I have been a bit more productive today ….done the shuffle , a load of washing ,  cleaned kitchen and bathroom , and fed wildlife . I had some salmon for lunch , and that’s me done for the day .I hope you are all enjoying your Saturday .

Mollie , I hope your weekend  is going ok . Gogglebox was fun last night , eh . I hope to see you for some more giggles in Benidorm tomorrow .Hicky , glad you didn’t have any  side effects from youR Covid jab …I felt rough for 24 hours after mine this time ….but  I’ve had 6 now , and not really had any other reactions . .so I’m not complaining .Ive never had any reaction from my flu jabs …apart from a sore arm sometimes.

Well it’s Strictly for me tonight ….although I think I’ll be on my own .Have a good evening both , and take care .

Baz

bothx

Hicky

glad you were ok after the jab.

Yes not worth you making wine, but sounds like you enjoy eating some of those super sweet grapes. Glad you are also enjoying the apples. I bet your neighbours will be pleased with your gift.

The dining chairs are high back ones, so doubt it would work to cut them down. We are going to try a charity shop because sometimes they have good stuff in there.

Thanks for the hint about the shed. MrM is reading up on it, and it is a long job to prepare the ground for a shed. He is shopping around. Costco do plastic sheds, that is another idea he is playing with.

He has cut back all the vine overgrowth from next door now and creosited the fences, so that looks a lot better.

Baz

Glad you didn't sleep too badly.

I thought of you today as we saw a Cyril.

Yes Gogglebox was funny last night. Good job the show was just ending when my battery ran out.  I can't charge in my lounge now as I don't sit near a plug and pup tries to nibble it if I leave it hanging around. So I have to remember to charge up in the kitchen before hand.

Tea time club was excellent this week though and am particularly looking forward to the Ant fan club meeting up next week, after seeing the trailer for next week.

Enjoy your dancing show.

Cooler day here today, Bit cloudy but did manage to sit outside for awhile this morning.

We collected our fresh milk from the local farm and some freshly picked carrots and sweetcorn from their fields, and had a long chat with the farmer's wife. She said they have 200 chickens and 50 cows, so milk wise it is a very small dairy herd. Their milk is lovely and has won awards as it is zero miles and no plastic. The cows are only milked when they want to be, by a robot milker. Very clever, so the cows are really chilled out.

MrM has gone to our local pub to watch a football matchs he was paying Β£12 a match if he wanted to watch a match at home. So all he spends now, are for a drink at the pub and the footy is free. Luckily our new local pub is lovely, recent refurb and nice food.

For tea I cooked the fresh farm carrots (real yummy) and mash, and I had a brie and caramelised onion tart with the veg, and the family had a tin of chicken in white sauce.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky Not a bad night , and weather overcast, but I’ve had to wait in for a delivery …lwhich I paid extra for next day delivery ….needless to say it’s not arrived yet ! Consequently, I’ve not been for a walk today ! So I’ve spent the morning hoovering upstairs and down,  dusted , changed sheets and pillowcases , and cleaned kitchen . ..so not a totally wasted day ! I hope everyone else is enjoying their Monday .

Mollie , wow , fancy being able to get fresh milk straight from the farm . Way to go Mr M .Benidorm was fun last night eh, and I’m looking forward to some Ant time today .Hicky, I hope you had a good weekend . Did you watch Strictly ? I have to admit I’m really annoyed at that musical theatre guy being there ….its so blatant !

Well , apart from teatime club , I think it’s DD , HGTV and National Parks for me tonight .Have a lovely evening both, and take care of yourselves .

Baz

Good Afternoon Mollie & Baz.

Havent been well since a day after my Covid jab, so strange, had the jab Thursday, Friday night had a throut tickle so took a Paracetamol and sucked a lozenger, just wanted to sleep, then got all achey and sneezy, with runny nose, so annoying, wasnt too bad yesterday, stayed in bed as much as possible, same today, have plenty to drink.

Got my Iceland delivery Saturday, but it came with an Alpro Soya shortm rnag them yesterday and they sent it out, not what was missing as they didnt ask which it was, it didnt matter really as i had orange juice, Alpro Oat, Alpro Creamy Oat, Alpro Unsweetened Soya, which it was one of those that was short, i only got the 6 as they are 6 for Β£9.99.

Looking foreward to BB this Sunday, will record of course.

Hicky

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Feeling a bit better now, gardener came for 2 hours, pleased about that, always so much to do, but he managed it, needs another hour or so but he works through the rain.

He picked some chillies from the greenhouse, 479g  thats a lot, they are the small green hot ones Ceyenne Pepper, my lads love chillies so they wont go to waste.

Will be having another early night to try and drive this cold/fever away

Hope you all had a good Monday.

Hicky

both x

Baz

hope your delivery turned up. So annoying when you plan to go out and have to wait in for one.

Yes we are lucky to have the farm fresh milk and they sell veg/fruit too, and the veg/fruit is done via an honesty box. Last time I didnt have enough change for some of the veg, so the farmer just told me to put the cash in next time, which I did this week. Yes Hotel Benidorm is good and our Ant night last night was just hilarious. I also enjoyed tonight with the weird mix we got.

Hicky

sorry you too weren't too well post jab but glad you have improved today.

Thats good your gardener came today.

Your chillies have done well.

Very wise to have an early night untill you feel yourself again. Hope you feel better after your early night.

Not a bad day today. My Ocado delivery came, all good, as usual. It poured for awhile, but then the sun came out and was very warm, so I sat out in the garden with the pup for awhile. So managed to dry lots of washing on the line.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Not much happening here, not had a bad day, window cleaners came, neighbough put my bin out.

On looking through tv listing i found there is a World grand prix darts on for next 5 days, day and night, wow, that will do me.

Rang the tree man who did my fences and tree work when i moved in, he is voming to see me later in the week, the tree i wanted pruning but neighbough wouldnt let me, oh dear, he died so will see what can be done now, i couldnt get it pruned during the summer as i think it had a big birds nest in it.

I see Ideal world is back, and the website as well, the takeover has put it back on air channel 51 freeview, and the other channels that it used to be on, hope they kept all the 150 staff on, but doupt it.

Seen another air fryer on QVC for Β£69,95 but onlyne it seemed to be Β£99,95, was going to get it to go with my Ninja, but will wait for now.

Hope Baz had a good day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Overcast and chilly  this morning , but the sun is out now . I didn’t have a bad night , so I went for a walk first thing …blew away a few cobwebs .Apart from that I’ve not really done a lot , just some washing and a bit of tidying up in the back garden . The gardeners have been and mowed the lawns ….I am guessing there will only be a couple more mows before the winter break . They are also going to come back Friday  to cut down a hedge that has become rampant …and they’ve given me a quote to have 4 panels replaced in the back fence .  I hope everyone else is having a nice Wednesday , whatever you are up to .

Mollie , what a strange bunch in teatime club yesterday ….them, not us of course . Glad Ocado aren’t letting you down .Im sorry that you won’t be joining us for woodwork this year .Hicky , sorry you felt poorly after your jab funnily so did I this time ….felt like I’d been run over by a train for 24 hours ….i wonder if it’s whatever they added to deal with the new variant .  Glad you feel better now though .

Well it’s Norfolk and Suffolk , Married at First Sight and Ros and my *risque* programme tonight ….so a full evening . Have a good one both , and take care .

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Not a lot happened today, neighbough put my bin out, he does all the surrounding ones too, every week, so good, takes them to the roadside then back when empty.

Havent been to bad today, not worse, thats the main thing, strange how it came on so sudden.

Experimenting with the Alpro drinks, like then all but need to decide which to get for coffee.

Been having a couple of Croissants, i got 3 types to try, they seem better cold, nice with butter and jam.

I've got a sack of organic consentrated manure, will get the gardener to put a layer over all the raised beds and tubs etc for the winter, before the frist comes, think then it should have a layer of leaves over that for a winter mulch.

Hopw Mollie has had a good day.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Overcast and damp here today , but I did get a walk in first thing , so alls good in da hood .Not a bad night , so I decided to do the duvet shuffle after all ….in addition I’ve done two loads  of washing , cleaned kitchen , and generally tidied up . The gardener is supposed to be coming to cut back that hedge , but no sign of them yet ! I hope everyone else is enjoying their Friday .

Mollie , I hope your day is going well , and  things have settled down a bit today .Ros and I will be watching GB at 9 , if you fancy joining us .Hopefully , I’ll see you for teatime club today , but don’t worry if you can’t make it .Hicky , glad you are no worse . Mine came on in the middle of the night after the jab , and lasted about 24 hours ….but I had a couple of headaches in the days preceding . I had never had that bad a reaction before , and I can only think it’s the component they put in to cover the new variant . It’s nice of your neighbour to put the bins out , mine did a couple of times when I broke my ankle .

Well it’s a trashy tv night for me today .Only two days until BB Have a good evening both , and take care .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Glad your night was ok Baz, not a bad day here, did nothing really, was hoping the tree man could call in to see me, and the tree, but no, when he said end of the week, maybe he means the weekend,

I've never had a problem before after a jab, but it cant be helped, i am back to were i was now, what a strange time, if it wasnt the jab than no idea as i hadnt been out in the rain, or mixing with people.

I've got darts tonight and F1 as well, spoint with tv, and the weekend, also strictly and BB and DOI starts soon,

Hope Mollie had a good day.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Sunny , but with a nice breeze today . A so so night , but I went for a walk first thing ….and saw two Cyril’s .One was obviously a grown up , and didn’t hang around when it saw me , but the other was a youngster who just stared at me , then kept foraging around for its breakfast .Aside from that , I’ve done a load of washing , run the hoover over downstairs , fed birds , and cleaned bathroom .I had lamb chops for lunch , and monce the bath towels finish drying , that is me done for the day .I hope everyone else is enjoying their Sunday .

Mollie , I hope you are having a good Sunday , and that things with your son have calmed down a bit .Hicky , glad you are back to normal ….I had never really had any problems before either ….but it’s a small price to pay for the protection , eh .My gardener was supposed to come and do my tree and hedge on Friday , but like yours , he never turned up !Ill text him tomorrow and see what’s what !

Well I’ve got a full evenings viewing ….Strictly results, Woodwork , and BB opening night .I hope you both enjoy your evening . Take care .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Another friend on social was telling me he had the same side effects after his Covid jab, he had a few bad days same as me.

Only went to the wheelie bin to deposit a bin bag from the trash bin inside, been watching F1, got more to watch plus darts tonight, BB will record, i hope.

I've got the eye clinic in the morning, will see what they say, think both eyes are changing, but not sure thats a good thing.

Hope Mollie had a good day and gets time to rest up and let others take the load.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Warm , but very humid here today . I went for a short walk first thing , cos I had a delivery ( new bedroom curtains) due between 10-11. It came on time , so I spent most of the morning ironing and putting up the new curtains . Then I went for another walk to the local shop ….and I saw Cyril’s on both my walks .😎😎Aside from that I’ve not done a lot , just some washing , and general cleaning . I hope everyone else is enjoying their Tuesday .

Mollie , the curtains are the same colour as the teddy rug I bought a while ago , so they will do fine ….even if they aren’t the exactly the same as the teddy bedding .I hope you are managing to get some downtime , and are looking forward to your Ant fix today .Hicky , I hope your trip to the eye hospital went ok, and that they could explain why your sight is changing suddenly . Yes, seems this Covid booster is definitely the cause of your not feeling well ….but as long as it does the trick that’s ok by me. Are you enjoying BB ? At least they have a good mix of contestants this time .

Well it’s another full evenings viewing for me …Bake Off , BB , and Married at First Sight .Have a good one both , and take care .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Glad you got a couple of walks in, i should really, but a bit worried about going on my own.

The trip to the eye clinic was quite a surprise, had the usual tests then saw the consultant who took more pictures etc od the back of the eye, i mantioned about the bleed i thought i had, he said he cant see any sugn of bleeding, i asked about the left eye which has improved and now working with the right eye, he said he cant see any changes but its possible that my brain has retrained inself to interpret what  it seas through the eye, so strange, hw will see me in 6 weeks so he didnt sign me off.

I rang the water board as they send me estimated bills and i have a water meter, they said they had notes that said they couldnt read the meter as it was obstructed or damaged, crazy, they are going to get back to me, she said they only need to read it every 2 years.

No sign of the tree man, will have to give him another ring.

Hope Mollie is having a good day.

How nice you saw an adult and young Cyril. A busy time for them as they stock up for winter.

You certainly have a busy nights viewing planned tonight. (that's good)

Glad to hear the curtains match your teddy rug. I am so glad you told me about them, as we had bought a different pair for son's room and your ones were much better, so we took the other pair back. Yours were only a couple of pounds more but were blackout ones, which the others weren't and the navy colour he chose in your style is a nice deep navy. We are going to buy some for the other rooms now. This house had no curtain poles or curtains, so these were the first ones MrM put up . Great value. Unlike you, son said not to bother ironing them,as the creases would drop out. so he couldn't be bothered.

We need to get curtains before the cold weather sets in, as the blinds were sufficent in summer but we need the curtains as well now. We have been continually in B and Q, Wickes, Homebase, Dun elm since we moved in. The pup thinks its great as she is allowed in the DIY shops too.

Has your gardener turned up yet?

Hicky

glad you are over the side effects of the jab now.

And that is brilliant your brain is compensating and enabling you to see better. and also that there is no sign of bleeding.

Hope your tree man turns up soon. We have lots of trees round here, and as a result, a lot of leaves that kept blowing through the front door. So MrM bought a thing to put at the bottom of the door to slow the leaf entrance down.

MrM has layed  slabs and sand ready for the shed. Its from the Homebase sale. He chose one he could grow seeds in it as well.

At least he has a bit less grass to cut now.

It has been so warm for October, so we took pup for a little walk down seafront yesterday. (we guessed it would be too busy over the weekend).

Been food shopping today, as forgot to do my delivery order and we were low on stuff. So went to Lidl and son went to Iceland.

Am enjoying BB so far. Didn't see all of the 1st episode though, as it was on for too long and I am busy in evenings, but at least it is only on for an hour now.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

It would be great if my left eye got good enough for it to read, i would have a spare so to speak, but will have to live with what i have.

Will ring the tree man again, maybe tomorrow, got the cleaners here tomorrow as well, they are only here for an hour.

Thats a lovely shed, it should have the wide front facing South if possible, are you getting them to install it? and the door on the sheltered side if possible.

I am recording BB, havent started to watch yet, will let it record a few so i can binge watch.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Misty first thing , but the sun is out now . I had a rubbish night , but I did go for a long walk first thing , which helped a bit ! Aside from that , I’ve not really done much , just some washing , fed birds and cleaned the kitchen . I had lamb chops for lunch , and that’s the sum total of my not so exciting day .I hope yours is better than mine .

Mollie , glad you liked the curtains ….i think they are great for the price .I am really enjoying BB ….glad they seem to have gone back to the original format ….make em suffer I say .Im guessing it’s nominations today , and I’m hoping Farida is up …I can’t stand her .Hicky , that’s interesting about the brain compensating for the eyesight ….i wonder if that’s what mine is doing too.Its annoying that your tree man never came , I’m in a similar boat !

Well it’s BB and MAFS for me tonight .Have a good evening both , and look after yourselves .

Baz

Good Afternoon Mollie & Baz.

Sorry you had a rubbish night, i wouldnt mind going for a walk but dont fancy going on my own, things can happen when you are alone and i dont fancy that, i will see if i can get one of my lads to come with me.

The cleaners came yesterday so everwhere is spick and spam again

I rang the tree man, he's coming in the morning, got a call from the lady at the water company, someone is coming out on the 23rd, i had a look at the cover over the meter and my neighbour said it was cracked.

Yes, very strange about the eyes, have a new appointment for Nov 21st, if nothing has changed then i suppose they will disharge me again, if my bad eye keeps improving i will be so happy, i can watch the tv with it but need to be able to read with it really, that would be good as that would be how it was a few of years, befor they did the cateract op.

I watched the HM's going in BB, got a lot to catch up on, what a strange mix of people, its going to be very interesting with so many strong characters.

Hope Mollie is taking it easy these days.

Hicky

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Not a lot happened today really, binnies emptied the garden wheelie, a day late, tree man came to see the tree, he also went to the school at the back to ask for permission to prune the tree as its on council land which is fenced in and inaccessable from anywhere, as there is no gate and its all grown over, they said, do what you want as the council wont go inside that area, the area is only 5m wide, not sure how far it goes as i cant see, he can do the job in a few weeks, but cant get his wagon in the school field as the ground is too wet at the moment.

I have ordered my Iceland delivery for the morning, 11:30 to 13:30 time slot.

Hope Mollie & Baz had a good night and a good Friday.

Hicky
