Good Afternoon-ish Mollie & Baz.

Not done a lot really, never got those 2 toothpaste dispenser to work properly so binned them, not finding the colgate pump one too easy either, my eyes not good so its hard to get the paste where it should be.

Sorry you couldnt get back to sleep again Baz, often the way really, i am always up in the night as i am restless and need to cool dow, i was looking for my summer duvet but not sure which it is, i found one but it looked more like a winter one, the cleaner sprts my stuff out and its in another room, i need to read the tog label really as its that which determines when its for.

I get so many scam or fake messages, emails and poeple on whatsappsending messages, to the wrong person, think they want to open up a conversation, i dont allow that.

I have darts to watch tonight and 2 4 hr shows a day from tomorrow, also F1 this weekend from tomorrow, wow, will have to record again as much as possible.

Did 5 chipolata sausages and half a tin of italian toms for brekkie, i use the ally containers that come with the iceland belly pork slices, i line them with foil then put a layer of baking paper to stop food sticking then cook in the aire fryer on the middle shelf, so easy, having some oven chips, will do them in the rotisserie basket, having some hot chicken tikka masala with them.

what a nuisance you struggled with the toothepast dispenser. Hope you can find one to suit you better. I think they used to do a powder one in a metal dish type container, might be worth trying that?

i am just sleeping under a sheet now as its too hot even for my summer duvet.

Its good you have such a decent gardener, and it sounds like you have some good produce to come.

Gosh that was terrible what happened to you and your son on holiday, lucky you only paid a deposit.

We too were scammed recently on our credit card. A repeated payment of £30 was being taken out and we had to report it, but credit card said they would not refund until they had checked if it was a scam. By that time they had taken £120, but they did refund it.

Pup is keeping us busy as she wants to explore everything, then gets scared easily as it is all new to her. She can't go out yet till she has her 2nd injections, but it is enough for her to stay in 1 room and a small area of the garden.

She is very sweet and affectionate and playfull and sleeps so well at night, so can't complain. Don't know how such a small young pup manages to not need toilet visit overnight either, so that is good for us not to have disturbed sleep.

I will have to struggle with this Colgate pump unit, dont use the powder, i used to use it when young untill a detict asked me what toothpaste i was using, he was horrified as i was wearing away all my teeth, gone through the enamel so had to stop as i can grooves along the gum line, omg.

I think i will take the duvet out od the cover as its 27c here in the bedroom and 26c outside.

Yes, the gardener is a marvel, he is bak in 2 weeks to spray the new weeds on the drive, they need spraying 2 weeks after taking them out or cutting them down.

Yes, in NYC there were 4 of us, such a shock to find out you hafve been scammed at about 10pm on a frosty december night.

Had you authorised the £30 from your card? how could they check if it was a scam or not.

Would have though pup would be weeing all the time, is she drinking enough, yiu aewbt going to find it easy to tell when she has a problem, unless you are used to having pups. never had one myself, or a dog so cant help there.

Yes I have only been using the sheet to sleep under the last few nights as the bedroom has been so hot, but luckily it is cooler tonight and we have a bit of rain. Not seen rain in a long time.

Hope you manage to find some suitable toothpaste.

No we had not authorised the monthly payment fo £30 for the credit card. We googled it and there was hardly any info on the payee, just  that it was a company in the Nethelands. Our credit card company must have investigated it and found out it was a scam company.

Pup is doing well, wants to chew everything she comes across, but luckily is easily distracted with her toys. She wees a lot in the day, so makes up for not going all night. We are lucky she has settled in so well. We bought her plenty of dog toys but her fave play item is an empty plastic water bottle We had our last dog from a pup and she lived till 17, so she did well.

Been sitting in the garden today, which was nice and the pup came out and slept in her basket. It has been too hot up until now to sit out, so enjoyed it today.

Hope Baz has had a good weekend and managed to get out for her walk today.

My lad came over with his GF and they picked up Indian meals from a local indian restaurant, so kovely.

The duvet cover drove me mad, i didnt seem to have any control, while my lad was here we checked what tog the duvet i took out was, it was 10.5, which is spring/autumn so we checked the tog on another duvet, that was 5 or so, i put that on my bed, so thats good.

The toothpaste is ok, its my eyes trying to put it on the brush, thats why i wanted the dispenser but couldnt get it to work.

It was raining earlier, started at about 8pm, the weeds need it bless them, and my trees wont complain.

Glad you got outside for some sun, i dont really like sitting in the sun unless i'm on holiday, and i dont like sitting outside on my own, it seems strange.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky   I was sure I’d posted in here on Saturday .I must have typed it out …..I definitely read your posts …and forgot to press send  ! Cooler today with a slight breeze  , thankfully …..I think we had some rain overnight ….but still feels a bit humid . I had a lousy night , so I haven’t been for a walk today . Instead I did a bit in the garden , put bins out ready for collection tomorrow , did some washing ,  cleaned the kitchen and bathroom , and sorted the Sainsbury shop .  I had some nice lamb chops for lunch , and that’s the sum total of my exciting Monday . I hope you both had a good weekend , and that your Monday  is more interesting than mine .

Mollie , glad the puppy is settling in well ….I reckon she’s lucky to have you . I didn’t get my T-shirts from M&S ….I got them from Argos .I enjoyed DTI ….what a plonker he was eh ….and Camping yesterday .I wonder what Blackpool will bring this week .Hicky , how lovely that your son and gf came to visit ….and brought food.Glad you got your duvet sorted out too .I remember that powder toothpaste ….and those solid pink toothpaste blocks .

So annoying when you know you wrote a post and its gone, and to make things worse you had a bad night and no walk, oh dear.

Not done much myself, i was up at 10am, start brekkie, just had 3 eggs on toast, made a coffee, started using the drip coffee machine again, but i just put the amount of water in that i want out, as i am using the 450ml coffee mug with the drink lid i use that to measure the water, then measure the ground coffee, turn the machine on and press the button to perculate, put a measure of coffee mate into the mug and a little sugar, all good.

For tea i heated the left over rice and king prawn Balti curry from last night and had a salad that was left as well.

The big bag of organic manure came today, it was due Wednesday, its 44 litres, weighs 25kg so i'll leave it in the hall for now, too heavy for me to haul around, i could probably drag it, will wait till garden or son comes.

I was watching my recoeding of the F1 as i didnt have time last night as i had so many hours of darts to watch as i had to record all that as well.

I wanted Discovery + on my tv but its not a smart one, i have 2 other ones, both smart, tried to get the app on the 42" but its too old, it has to be no older than 2017, i have another but its too big for my room as its in the lounge and i think its 55", the size in my bedroom is 32" which is fine, i would need to buy another but there are so many, i would want a Samsung probably but which one, and they range in price so much, maybe i can ring Samsung, will see.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky   Not a bad night for me …so I popped up the shop first thing , then came back and did a bit more in the garden . I had intended going for a walk lunchtime but the heavens opened .The sun came out again recently , but now it’s looking like more rain ! So I’ve cleaned the kitchen floor , some washing , and a bit more in the garden ….so I’ve got my share of vitamin D and closed the exercise on my watch (I’m up to over 7000 steps already today ) , so not a totally wasted day .I had pork chops for lunch , and that’s me done for the day .I hope everyone else is having a good Wednesday .😄

Mollie , I hope your day is going well …..and that the gawjuss puppy is behaving herself .I don’t think we will be going any of this weeks resorts , eh . Hicky , yes , it is bliddy annoying when you lose a post !Im surprised you can’t get Discovery plus ….I’m on Sky , but I’ve not got a smart tv , and my set is at least 7 or 8 years old …and I’ve downloaded discovery plus on it .

First day of Summer, a nice start anyway.

I've only got 1,017 steps so far today, had a look in the garden, had to prune off tons of the grape vine growth, it would take over the garden and block the paths around the raised beds an between the raised beds and the fence, the growth is about 12mm, i managed to put the cuttings in the brown bin which is out for emptying tomorrow.

I had a pack of cut sheets 8x12" for the lining of my ally trays i use for the air fryer also for the GF, saves a lot of cleaning, have ordered a Silicone thingy so i can keep my food contained for the air fryer, and thats easy to clean.

Its annoying when you dont know whether it will rain or not, its like these deliveries, they usually come days before they are due which is so annoying as i could be anywhere.

I am waiting for my new fruit juicer but it coming from China, i think 95% of verything in the world is now made there, its quite frightening really, so i was using a chinese tracking number then noticed alongside another tracking number, but this one is for Hermes so i tracked that and it said they had the parcel, its due between June 24th and July 1st.

I dont understand this Discovery + thing, my old Bush TV is on the web but i use it via the BT box, the Samsung TV is from 2014 and has 2010 software which wont run the Discovery + app, but looking into 32" Samsung TV's there are just so many and the prices change so much i wouldnt know whaic to get, so still looking into the problem.

Maybe its because you are on Sky, it might come as an app which installed itself, the problem is my BT box doesnt support Discovery and it doesnt carry the app, maybe in the future it will, BT supports Discovery + and its free to me, just that i cant get it yet.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky Its been overcast most of today , but at least it’s cooler !Not a bad night , but no long walk today cos I wanted to change the bedding and do the duvet shuffle . I did pop up the local shop though to get a couple of bits for my son coming on Sunday .Aside from the washing and ironing , I washed down the patio , cleaned off the garden furniture , and managed to cut both my arm and my toe while doing it ! I had cold meat for lunch , and once the bedsheet is dry that’s me done for the day ! I hope everyone else is enjoying their Friday .

Mollie , I hope the exchange went ok today , and that everything else is * quiet* .Hicky , yes, maybe it’s because I am on Sky …although my sky box isn’t the most up to date one . Even though I’ve not been for a walk today I’m still up to 5000 steps …..on a good day I usually manage between 5,000-9,000 , on a lazy day it’s normally between 3,000-5,000.Mind you that’s the only exercise I get .I’ve also got a vine , and I agree if I don’t keep it chopped back it takes over ! I treated myself to some shears this week , so have been going * chop* happy .I only stopped in case they came to mow my lawns before the bin was emptied on Tuesday .

Not done much today, cooked thats about all, workmen etc still next door sawing banging drilling, had open reach next door doing phone line or something.

Had a nice pork loin chop for tea with potatoes, eggs and gravy.

I use the secatures for trimming plants etc, and vines, and the council hasnt emptied the wheelie yet, its still outside.

Have ordered my next Iceland food, comes tomorrow, they have an aisle in the store for air fryer food and online it has a section of 16 pages under an air fryer heading, so good.

Sorry to hear you cut your arm and toe while cleaning the garden, you need protection on your feet,

I have had an awful day, the tooth trouble came back, my bottom back tooth only hurt when the one above touched it, so i couldnt eat as i couldnt close my jaw, it seems the only 2 teeth that touch when i close my mouth are these 2 teeth, top and bottom, will have to ring the dentist tomorrow but have the cleaners coming tomorrow.

I had some soup, tried to eat a salad sandwich, managed most of it, awkward when you cant chew.

Been very busy with pup training at home, but she still loves nicking our slippers.   Took her to vets for injection 2 , so she should be able to go out soon. It made her off her food for 2 days, but she ate a good meal today and is running around learning how to play fetch with her little puppy size ball now.  She can fetch now, but still has trouble giving it back to you.

Also been backwards and forwards to the solicitor with papers but we have still not exchanged. Other solicitors holding it up to do with the amount of mortgage owed on it. Have started packing though. How can we have accumulated so much stuff we don't use ?

Rang the dentist first thing this morning, got an appointment for 12:30 which was good, didnt have a good night and couldnt eat this morning, it had to come out, omg, what a job, it took 20 minutes just wrestling with the tooth and roots, they sure arent meant to come out, i have eaten some food carefull after the 3 hours it takes for the numbness to go, had some paracetamol for the pain, will have an early night unless the pain goes.

i charged my new juicer, it is a usb one, buitifully made, well apart from the fact it wontn work, it wont turn on, so annoyed, if it wasnt £29 i would have just binned it, so sending it back for a refund, so annoyed, and it came all the way from China, a pity they didnt test it.

Oh dear Mollie, yes, forgetting to press go is a problem, what i do in suppose is leave the tab/page and to answer a chat or something and forget to go back, then the puter want to update firefox or windows so the waiting post is lost.

Thats a blow waiting for the other solicitors to sort things out, so frustrating.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky 🥰🥰🥰Overcast , and very humid here today . Not a great night , so I didn’t go for a walk this morning ….although I did pop up the nearest local shop . Apart from that I’ve done some washing , cleaned kitchen , dusted , fed birds , and done a bit more in the garden …the bin is now full 🤣🤣. Sorry you didnt have a good night Baz, and no walk. well, my night was a lot better, so strange having no pain, had taken paracetamol every 4 hrs as wasnt sure if i would have pain without. have stopped the tablets now, took the return paecel to the post office, sent that off, walked to the barbers and she was shut, asked next door and she said she thought it was some type of emergency and she had to leave, the day before, i walked to the docs to sit down and call a taxi, so came home.

Made another omelette for brekkie and roasted some toms as i have plentsy, going to cook 2 chicken thighs i have thawed and nmarinated in Cajun spice, will cook in air fryer.

Hope Mollie had a good day, probably run ragged with the puppy.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Overcast and drizzly today ….and quite chilly ! Consequently , the furthest I’ve been is a quick trip to the nearest shop for some bleach ! Aside from that I have done a large load of washing , hoovered upstairs and down , and , between showers , done a little bit more in the garden ( cos it’s garden bin emptying on Tuesday ) ….and it’s now full to the brim .I had some ham for lunch , sorted the M&S delivery tomorrow , and that’s me done for today .I hope everyone else is enjoying their Friday , whatever you are up to .

Didnt do much, had an appointment to get my hair done but she rang this money to cancel as her leg was too bad, could go tomorrow as she has a standin, so i'll see.

Make a seeded loaf, of wow, so good when its just baked, had a crust and 2 rounds with butter and sandwich spread, so lovely.

Been a bit cloudy here so never bothered going out.

Got some chicken wings in the air fryer.

Mollie sure going to be busy with a puppy and a new house, wow.

Sorry to mess about time wise with Tea Time club tonight, but I don't want to miss it completely , even though I am out and about sorting all sorts out...eg need to get more keys cut tomorrow, need to sort stuff out for charity and stuff for the tip.

As you guessed I am exhausted. So much to do in new home and packing/cleaning to start here. The whole house needs painting inside, and all the flooring downstairs/stairs/landing needs replacing before we can move anything in..

And of course we have a very young pup, and you aren't supposed to leave them for too long at that age, so she usually comes with us, meaning we can't leave anything around, as its straight in the mouth with the tiny little teeth. I seem to be constantly opening her little mouth to see what is in it next. But she is just so cute.

We met with the couple she came from today, she recognised them straight away and was so excited to see them. They tell me we have the quietest pup of the litter. She rarely barks and plays quite happily with her toys on her own, and does love to play "fetch" with her little puppy ball.

Got my hair cut Saturday, got a taxi up to the shop, the standin was there, sat myself down as someone was in the chair, and a dad and lad was sitting by me, there was a prson in the next barbers chair, though it was a lad waiting, a few minutes later the one over the way said hi, it was the owner, with my eyes i didnt know as couldnt make her out, it took an hour to get a taxi there, i had waited till late as wasnt sure if she would close for lunch, some places do, anyway, when i was finished the owner asked if i had booked a taxi yet, i i said no, she siad you can come with me, i'll drop you off, oh wow, that was handy, a feller drove and there was a young lad, not sure who they were, with my eyes i couldnt see them that good.

Its so strange no having that tooth bothering me at night, so much better without it, am starting to eat better now, for Saturdays meal i ordered Indian food online from a restaurant not so far away, i just love indian starters and curries, i get 2 of each so it last me quite a while, thwy give you a salad as well, had that tonight, got half a meal for tomorrow and put half a meal in the freezer yesterday so i get my moneys worth.

Had a go at picking more raspberries today, got a big bag full, just picked the darkest ones, they must be the redest i assume.

I've ordered a new pair of glasses, i get awful glare from the sun or anything white, i was laying in bed and thought, i'm sure they can add something to the surface of the glass to stop glare, anyway, i rang specsavers who made the ones i have, i had also bought sunglasses but so much messing swapping from one to the other, i will try these, they have another frame so they can use the same prescription, £281 i think, but dont care, if they help thats the main thing, all done over the phone, he wanted me to go to the shop really but i talked my way out of that.

Glad you had a better night Baz, i am waking more, think its because i'm not used to having no pain at night, then i think of things to google, if i leave to the morning i might forget, i also go to the fridge for a drink of orange or Fanta, the walk cools me down as well.

Did a wash load and dried it and put away, and did a dishwasher load so i can put stuff away.

Got the ECG Wednesday at a health centre where the heart department is, then they see me after its done, they want to see if my heart has improved, i think it has but we will see.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Sunny today , and a bit warmer …thankfully ! Both bins were collected by 9 o’clock . Not a bad night for me , so I went for a long walk first thing . …and I saw a Cyril Really cheered me up .Then I came home , did some washing , cleaned kitchen and bathroom , and did a bit more tidying up in the back garden ….in fact, according to my watch,  I’ve doubled the  daily amount of exercise .I had lamb chops for lunch , and once my washing has finished drying , that’s me done for today ! I hope everyone else is enjoying their Monday .

Glad you slept ok, still not used to having no teeth trouble, i have the heating turned off but with the weather turning cooler i need the zipped jumper on in the house, its only 22.4c inside and thats not really warm to me.

Had beans on toast with some chopped mixed pickle under the beans, i usually have a soup at about 2pm, had the other half of an indian meal, i get 4 meals from the one order, i enjoy the starters more than the meals so wondering if i can buy a load of starters, 1 meal and a load of chilli rice, i should make the rice myself as i have the rice and the rice cooker.

Had another bowl of raspberries which are from the garden and ice cream as i have run out of cream.

Hope Mollie is managing with all that needs doing, plus a pup.

How nice it was we got to spend a bit of Dame;s money tonight and a good start to seeing all those yummy cakes on Bake Off.

Pup is doing real well for her age thanks. Enjoys her food, but is so small, she doesn't need a lot. And sleeps well at night too. We do have to watch her though, as she is teething and chews anything she comes across, including cables if we don't watch them. She loves playing fetch, but hasn't quite worked out yet, that she is suppposed to bring it back to you.

Glad to hear you are back to enjoying your food again now that rogue tooth is no more.

How frustrating you have started waking at night because you were always a good sleeper till the tooth problem. Hopefully that will settle soon, now the tooth has gone.

I bet your garden raspberries are delicous and I know they are full of vit c, so will do you good.

We are real busy with the house stuff. Went and chose the flooring today, all of downstairs flooring and stairs/landing needs replacing. Pup was crying to come with us, so we took her in her booster seat in the car. She loves sitting in that. The lady in the shop loved holding her, pup is so friendly, so she enjoyed that.

Had to go and get some paint samples and food from asda this pm. Can't take her there, so had to leave her whimpering at home. Felt guilty, but she was asleep when we got back.

The whole of the new house needs to be painted inside and the garden is like a jungle. so lots to keep us busy.

Then when the house is ready for us, we need to start packing our stuff here.

But I have decided I need a break in the morning, so will go for my usual brekkie out with my friend and her grandson.

It has been cool and damp these last few days here. Makes a change from the warmth we had beforehand though.

The heart clinic went better than i had hoped, 1 nurse did a hand scan thing on my heart, like they do for a baby, then my heart nurse did an ECG then all the usual tests, at the end she said all tests have passed ok, the heart has improved with the meds, she doesnt need to see me again, just if i have a problem in the next 6 months ring her, if she doesnt hear from me i will be discharged from the heart service, wow, couldnt believe ho well things went.

The health centre is about 10 minutes away, i gave the driver £9 including a tip, same on the way back, i was at the heart place about an hour, that shows how many tests they did.

Yes, it seems the more you look into the new house the more things need doing, with ours we had to move out as the house was sold, we went to the usual places to stay while we waited for the property to be ready, quite a while if i remember.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  I had a terrible night …from the time I went to bed at midnight until about 3.30 I had panic attack after panic attack . I managed to get a couple of hours from then until about 6 o’clock , but that was all! Still I did manage to go for a walk this morning , and I’ve done one  washing , and I did a bit more in the garden ….anything to try and wear myself out !Ive had my lunch and once the bath mat is dry that’s me done for the day .I hope you are all having a better day than I am .

Mollie , glad things are getting sorted , but glad you took a break for brekkie with your friend .Yes, it was nice getting to spend some of dames wealth , eh .Hicky , really great news about your heart tests. We always moved into brand new houses , so thankfully we never had to do much .

Met the lady next door in our new house today, she was very friendly and luckily she liked the pup.

So tired as hardly seem to have a free minute and dont' know what job to do next. Will be glad when this move is over.

We are so lucky the pup sleeps so well all night and she is happy to go in her crate, so I know she is safe overnight.

The only tv I have had chance to watch in the Tea time Club hour, but am glad of that for an hours break.

Think we will go out for lunch tomorrow, as it saves money food shopping and cooking too.

Sorry to hear about your panic attacks, i'm not sure what it is, i need enlightening.

Just had a couple of Iceland Pork Loin Chops, you get 4 in a pack, i got 4 packs, took them out and wrapped each in a small bag to freeze, they do rather nice in the George Foreman, had some scrispy roast spuds that i did in the air fryer, nice.

Am very pleased about the heart report, it means it should carry on improving as i am on the same meds.

Didnt do much in the garden, put a support up for a raspberry came that has grown about a metre, it was leaning too much, might have to support the chilli plants in the greenhouse, i have about 8 growing.

Love watching Battle Bots, am still playing chess with my lad onine, i am at 207 games won, he is 145.

Yes, need to get these kidney stones sorted, thinking of asking for a price private.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Very close here ….heavy , airless , and headachy ! We did have a short shower about midday , but it didn’t last long , and doesn’t seem to have cleared the air much ! No thunderstorms yet ! I slept quite well until 5 o’clock ! I didn’t feel up to a walk , but I did pop to the local shop for bird seed . Aside from that , I changed the bedsheet and pillowcases , done a load of washing , hoovered upstairs , and sorted out the M&S delivery . I had some poached salmon for lunch , and now I’m lazing on the sofa watching Van Der Valk .I hope everyone else is having a good Saturday , whatever you are up to .

Mollie , hope you’ve managed to go out to lunch , and are taking some down time . Glad your new neighbour seems nice . I think the panic attacks are probably because of the time of the year ….even though it’s 5 years on.Hicky , I hope they get your kidney stones sorted soon ….but I don’t blame you for looking into going private , if you can afford it .

Posted last night, well tried to, when i pressed Post Reply it said it couldnt as i was on the wring page or something, i couldnt copy what i had typed so had to F5 so lost it.

I got in touch with spire about going private, explained it all in a message box on their site, had a phone call, they sid they didnt have the equipment needed for what i wanted, i would have to come and talk to a consultant to see where it could be done, i said, well you find out where it can be done and how much, she said i cant do that, i said well forget about it then, how strange.

I have ordered a gadget to cut my finger nails, i find it such a challenge as i have no idea what to do, so ill see if it kelps.

Had some heavy rain and lots of thunder today, i wanted to turn the watering off from the garage but it wouldnt stop raining and i dont go out in the rain incase i slip on the decking.

Made a new seeded loaf as i had ran out, had a nice crusty crust as soo as it had cooled, wow, nice, had a pack of cooked seafood today, makes a change, got so many food options.

Hope Mollie had a good day, i know she is so busy.

Glad to hear you slept better. Hope it continues and the panic attacks ease.

I did make it out to lunch with my friend thank you, and it was really enjoyed as we have been so busy. MrM and son came too, so it was nice to not to have to take time cooking and washing up after. I had a roast dinner minus the meat but with a Yorkshire pud, followed by fresh cream trifle. Very nice it was. Hope you enjoyed your salmon.

Wonder what tea time club has in store for us this coming week? Last week we certainly got a bit of variety.

During tea time club, I am usually posting with one hand, whilst holding a pup toy playing tug with the other hand. But at least I have been able to make tea time club. Hopefully will be able to make weekend club again when things calm down.

As private is not an option, let's hope NHS don't leave you waiting too long. Sounds like private didn't have acess to the high tech equipment needed, so they couldn't do it?

Hope your gadget helps with your nails. If not, you could always try one of those nail bars and ask them how much to just cut your nails.

Gosh yes, you can't risk slipping on the decking if it has been raining. We seems to have missed the heavy rain, but got a bit of drizzle.

We have finally chosen the colour to paint the  walls in our new house, which MrM is going to do. A big job as he has to do ceiling and skirting too. We have had the man in to measure for the flooring and the garden/tree man is due to meet mrM to give a quote today, as the garden is like an overgrown jungle with a couple of overgrown trees. One is a crab apple and next door said they will be glad to see them trimmed back as it is shading their house and garden and ruined their lawn, and the crab apple gave them rat problems! The trees are too high for MrM to tackle.

Puppy is getting more mischievous as time goes on and it is amazing what small spaces she can squeeze in. But her body under all the white fluffy fur is quite small. So we have to keep baraccading stuff off, eg behind tv, where the modem is.

She went for her 1st walk today. She looked so funny, as he doesn't walk properly. She is just a bundle of white fluff bouncing along all excited, sniffing all in sight. At least it has tired her out, so has given me 5 minutes peace whilst she has a nap.

Not the best time to prepare to move house, when you have a young pup to train and watch she is kept safe.

Nice weather here so far this morning, bit of sun, but not too hot. Hope you both have it good weather wise too.

Not done much today, went to garage to turn off the outside watering and bring some food in, had a heaavy downpour this afternoon.

The nail trimmer arrived, been trying it, seemed to work ok, charged it and had to get the magnifyer to red the instructions as its only 2" x 2" pages with faint lettering on white which is so hard for me to read, i managed to do my nails, so strange but it seems to work so thats good.

I was going to ask the podietrist if she does finger nails as well as toe nails, no harm in asking.

It seemed strange that the private health place didnt have the equipment as on their website the procedure i need was well documented with the procedure and aftercare etc, maybe they thought i was too old or they just didnt want to do it.

Yes, any trees that dont get pruned every few years bacome a problem usually for your neighbours as not only do tons of leaves fall everywhere but they shade so much at different times of the year, next doors trees here shade my garden, the people who lived there used to get the gardener to pruns 1 tree which was good but that overgrown now and the Oak at the bottom is way overdue for pruning.

Good  luck with the pup, i would send it out for training as its not as simple as that is it.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Rained most of the day here …no walk this morning . So it’s been a very lazy day chez Baz ….just two loads of washing and some dusting .I had salmon for lunch and that’s the sum total of my morning .I hope everyone else is having a more productive day than me .

Mollie , well that was an eventful morning re the texts and the forum .It was nice to talk to you though .By the way , Dame tried to buy a villa last night , but her card bounced due to lack of funds .I’m looking forward to a bit of George this week too.Hicky , I’m sure the podiatrist would probably do your finger nails as well ….I’m sure my husbands did his . Had some rain here as well today, only went to the garage for some bits from the freezer.

Did a coup;e of chicken thighs and a few chicken wings for tea, going to make a French loaf tomorrow, love the crunchy toast it makes.

I tried the new gadget i bought to do my finger nails, it worked ok, so nails are fine for now, will ask the podietrist when she comes next, not till 26th.

I dont understand the responce from the private sector, its the group that did Mrs H's new knee, but asking me to go and talk to a consultant sounded more like a way to get me involved and maybe a way to get me to start paying, as i dont think a consultation withn a consultant would be free< think one of my lads had a replacement knee done private, think it was £12k, he didnt want to wait for the NHS.

hope the rain eases today, so you can get your walk in.

It was raining 1st thing here too, but has cleared a bit now. Pup does not like going out in the rain at all. (just like our last dog). Don't blame them I guess, as I don't either.

ROFL at Dame's card running out of funds. Wonder why that could be? (good job she hasn't realised we went on a bit of a spending spree last week after watching Move to the Sun).

We seemed spoilt for choice on Tea time club this week, so can decide if we fancy a nice meal with CDWM, or if we fancy a big spend on a nice villa in Spain/Portugal, or if we fancy saving a bit by going with the Brits on the Cheap.

That's good your nail gadget worked ok, but as Baz says, I sould think the podiatrist should be able to do fingernails.  (as they are easier than toes to do).

Yes I bet you are right, I think getting you to see the consultat will mean it will cost you as soon as you go, and even just an initial consultant visit is not cheap.

3 tree guys came yesterday and did a really good job at the new house. There were hundreds of crab apples everywhere when they removed it! They took a big bush thing down as well and my neighbours are so pleases as these 2 trees were making their house dark, ruining their lawn and gave them rat problems from the rotting crab apples. They have asked our treee man for a quote so he can trim back another tree growing over their garden. So a good start, in helping to make our neighbours happy.

The tree guys are back again today to remove the ivy growing from next door and to cut the grass (the weeds are about 8 foot tall).  They charged us £1000 but it is 2 days work for 3 guys, so not a bad price for the difference it will make. MrM reckons that even if we could have done it ourselves, it would have cost us for few hundred for the couple of skips needed to take it all away.

MrM has been busy painting and I have been stuck on the phone for an age waiting in those queues to do things like change council tax.

I have typed nearly all of this post whilst wating in such a queue.

And the poor pup is getting bored of having no one to play with.

Wil be glad when this move is over. Have lots of stuff to sort, get rid of , and pack.

Time to get back to sorting stuff now.

The French bread turned out exactly as i expected, i suppose it should really, just had the crust, wonderful.

I cant get over having no appointments, it seems so strange.

Thats a good job done then, getting the tree guys in, it needed doing and your neighbours will be so pleased.

Yes, so much to do in new house, and paperwork etc, seems endless.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  I slept well ,  weather is ok , and managed a walk first thing , but I’m feeling rubbish both emotionally and physically….the former is probably playing into the latter .These three weeks are still upsetting …too many sad memories ,..even after 5 years .Still , I took some of my frustrations out on the back garden.I’ve decided rather than putting stuff in the garden bin ( which , after the gardener’s massive tidy up of the front , is full to the brim) I’m starting a little compost heap . Apart from that I’ve cleaned kitchen and bathroom , and done a small load of washing , so not a totally wasted day .I had lamb chops for lunch and that’s my exertions done ! I hope everyone else is enjoying their Thursday .

Mollie , yes, we are spoilt for choice eh.I hope the flooring is going well …and glad the trees got sorted ……you will end up collapsing in a heap by the time you move in though .By the way , George says to tell you I catered for his every whim last night .Hicky , glad the loaf turned out well , but it’s about time you brought some for us !It must feel very strange not having any appointments , but make the most of it while you can .

Glad you slept better Baz, i sleep ok, but i like to get up and go to the fridge for a drink, then see if my lad has moved on the chess.

Not sure about making a compost heap, it needs a lot of certain materials, it also needs turning over at certain times, and it can get in an awful mess with the weather, think you are better off keeping what you have and put in into the garden bin when there is room, i tried it once, oh dear, and i had bought a 1m x 1m x .7m compost wooden bin, no good really, packed it in.

Got my new glasses today, going to see if they are any better, doubt it mind, got a taxi and got him to wait as it might have been hard to get a taxi home.

I had 2 kippers for brekkie, last night had 2 more of those pork loin chops, nice anyway, tea tonight was a pack of Chinese style pork belly slices, tasty, from iceland of course.

The salt cod i ordered from Amazon came, via APC overnight, i will try a piece saturday, expensive mind £19,99 fo9r 2 x 250g, might not be getting them again as i can get them a lot cheaper from the fish man.

Had another meal of raspberries from the garden, had no cream so used ice cream instead, just as good.

Yes, sure is strange with no appointment, its like noone cares any more, untill Urology sort themselves out.

Hope Mollie isnt too worn out today, so much to do every day.
