Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  It was lovely and sunny this morning …..but it’s overcast now ….and it’s very chilly ! But I did manage the 3k walk first thing .Apart from that I’ve not done much , just some washing , dusting , general tidying , and rescued the bins .I got quite excited this morning …..I had a text from my doctors surgery , so I thought it was for my spring Covid jab ….sadly it just turned out to be some sort of admin thing !hope everyone else is enjoying their Tuesday , whatever you are up to .

Mollie , yes , it looks like being a good week for teatime club .Did you enjoy Celeb last night ? I did , I thought it looks like being a hilarious series, and as always, the thread is great fun  . Hicky , I hope the fillings sorted out your teeth problem , and that your Iceland delivery arrived ok today .

Well it’s a full nights  viewing …Masterchef and Celeb .Have a good evening both .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Glad you managed a walk Baz, i might need to go for a walk as i have the voting thing to post.

Think i lost another post, when i look at yours mollie on the other page i'm sure i answered it, anyway, i got the 24 bottles of water as my No.#3 son throws my water bottles out saying they are mouldy and i need to chenge it once a week, so the bottles are so i can get a new one every Sunday, i keep filling during the week from the tap, i also drink milk and Fanta orane and lemon and Orange in litre containers from Iceland,

I have ordered a Juicer machine so i can use my fresh oranges up as they are getting hard to eat, very chewy for some reason.

I made a loaf today but messed it up, and i used some of the new French flour, had it all set up and part way theough the pregram, 2 hours into it in fact, i couldnt see through the lid so opened the top, didnt realise it would matter, well, when i closed it i didnt know if the machine was still working or not, i pressed atart, i bit later i looked at my timer i set on my dest and it said 1hr 20mins, went to the machine and it said 2 hrs 40mins, thought i must have put the wrong time in my timer, leter on i got my head set magnifying glasses to see what the machine said and noticed it had a 1 where the program number was, wow, it should have said 2 which is the French bread setting, oh dear, then i realised the machine had reset to the turn on state and i had restarted it with the basic bread setting all over again, nothing i could do, i will make another loaf tomorrow, good job i have loads of ingredients, when the bread was done it was only half the size it should be, probably with all the kneading and rising, the yeast was worn out so couldnt re-rise all over again.

I'll cut a slice but not much hope.

I had the rest of those ribs from yesterday, nice.

Hicky

Baz

you did well managing a 3k walk. Glad the foot has improved so much.

I certainly am enjoying tea time club this week, Will miss the Strangers on a Plane next week as it has been so good. Let's hope the new show next week is good too.

I did enjoy the 1st IAC, but was feeling tired last night, (lack of sleep from cough/bad knee), and did too much yesterday, so had to turn off lappy. Didn't enjoy it so much, as think the 3 new ones rather dull. So me and MrM will watch Dalglesh instead tonight. Let me know if you enjoy it tonight.

Hicky

yes your lad is right, you do need to replace water bottles regularly. Good job they are not expensive, especially as you need to drink so many due to your kidney problems.

Fresh squeezed orange juice is delicious, so hope you can manage to see how to use your juicer ok.

Oh dear, what a shame you got mixed up with your bread making. Hopefully it will turn out ok next time you use your French flour.

All my family still have the remnaints of this cold, so cough now and again. Its tiring. so I have drastically reduced what I eat, and cut off eating by late afternoon in the hope the cough doesn't start as soon as I lie down at night.

Yesterday I went to Harvester with friend for brekkie, and she too has the hanging on cough. So we both found it hard work with her 3 year old grandson. He is so sweet and well behaved in the resteraunt, but when its time to put him in his car seat, he thinks its run around time, and me and friend are not up to that! So we ended up finding him a choc to bribe him. Then they came to our house and he just wanted to play with our bunny and didn't want to go home, so it was bribery time again. The waitress always puts his wellies and coat on for him, as me and my friend are hopeless. But the waitress has toddlers herself so is used to it.

Then when MrM came home from work he said he has a voucher for a carvary for £5 each, and he didn't have chance for lunch at work, so could we go there. So I did. It was enjoyable, but 2 outings exhausted me and the meal triggered off the cough.

So today, I have done not a lot except change and wash the sheets. MrM bought me home a jacket potato from Costco, so I didn't need to cook tonight. So hopefully the cough will stay calmer.

Been dull and wet in the afternoon, let's hope the sun comes back again soon. I heard on the radio that this month had been a lot cooler than normal.

Going to watch Jayne Maconald tonight .

Have a good evening both x

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

I hope this cough doesnt stay with you much longer, it wears you out, and so bad for your sleep, looking after youngers can be very trying when your out.

That was nice getting the carvery with the voucher, cant beat that, and a baked spud from Costco, nice.

My Juicer came so juiced a couple of oranges to try it, wow, it worked fine, only a manual one but easy to use.

My air fryer basket liners all came, havent tried them yet.

My tooth hasnt given me a problem, still get a slight tingle between the teeth at night when i lie on my right side but those 2 right back teeth dont go together i less i make them, just to see if the tingle is still active, but very much weaker, but as its not really bothering me i'll leave it, just glad he filled those 2 teeth.

Had some of that failed loaf, it was smaller but still tastes fine and its super as toast, will make a new one when this runs out to save wasting it.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Overcast , and drizzly here today …and a crap night …..but I did manage a short walk this morning …so at least I got some fresh air .Apart from that , I’ve not done a lot ….just some washing , dusting , and general tidying up .I hope everyone else is enjoying their Friday .

Mollie , hope you are feeling a bit better today .I can’t wait for payment day tonight .Yes, I’ve enjoyed SOAP too .I’m really enjoying Celeb ….and can’t wait to see who gets kicked out tonight .Hicky , glad your tooth seems to have settled down.Glad you like your new juicer, and that your loaf tastes ok …even if it doesn’t look great .

Well it’s another full evenings viewing for me ….MC, Celeb and GB .Have a nice evening both , whatever you get up to .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Not done much today, watched darts last night, the Thursday match, from Leeds last night, the same 8 play wach time, it was the 13th night out of 17, , the format is, 4 pairs play, then the 4 winners play, then the final is those 2, the winner each week gets £10k, not sure what the losers get.

Today was F1, also tomorrow and Sunday so gla about that.

Will have to go and post this darn voting slip in the morning,

Had some nice Iceland TGI friday honey BBQ belly pork slices, so tasty.

Just watching Salvage Hunters, he sure wants the items cheap, he usually only pays 25% or 30% of their value, he has a lot of restorers to pay i suppose.

Glad you got a walk in, sorry you didnt sleep well, i got 8hrs 38 mins, not bad as i am so restless at night..

The Juicer is fine for the price, got so many gadgets now.

Hope Mollie is feeling better, that cold etc knocks you for 6.

Hicky

Baz

sorry you had a bad night, hope you sleep better tonight.

That is good that you managed a walk though.

Yes, feeling somewhat better now thank you.

What a lovely week at tea time club it was (even if we didn't quite get the results we wanted).

Wonder what we will make of next weeks new show?  But at least you have it all under control, with your alternative planning, if its rubbish.

Glad you are enjoying IAC. I have given up on it, especially when I saw they were doing the contraband story again, I did suspect it was a bit of a contrived story. But that's just me, I tend to get fed up of some shows after they have been on for so long. eg. Bake Off is another one I won't be watching. (unless of course if its the Juniour one at tea time club, which seems newer and fresher and funny too).

I have enjoyed some other new shows though, eg. Rise and Fall was a really good reality show (the brother of an ex BB HM won) and Billionaire Blooms, the new show on C4 last night about UK's top florists was so interesting. And as you know I am addicted to Dress to Impress. I have even set the recorder for weekday mornings if its on. So am glad you can join me for that on Saturdays.

Its so nice you get to watch tv with a variety of people at differing times. I am at my best earlier in the day, so our weekend mornings and tea time club suit me best, and I always enjoy watching with you.

Hicky

that was good that at least you didn't have to waste that loaf that did not turn out quite right. I am sure the next one will be perfect, now you have had some practice.

Sounds like your teeth are settling down now. Hope that is the end of that problem now.

Glad you are enjoying your freshly squeezed orange juice, a nice way to get your dose of vit c.

How is the produce in your garden coming on?

Thankfully the cough is eased today from yesterday, fingers crossed i will soon be able to sleep at night again.

We went to collect some farm fresh milk today, it is so nice and tasty. Amazing how high tech this zero miles milk is.

Then we went to a cafe at the back of an antiques market. Fascinating. I had lemon cake and MrM had Bara Brith with butter. (like his mum used to make) . The cakes were served on mismatched (but A1 condition) old China, and were delicous. Lots of old interesting stuff for sale. Bought son an old box with the map of the world on for £20, for his birthday. Really nice for him to store something like his games in.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Glad you are feeling a bit better Mollie.

My garden is looking ok, apart from a new plum tree that doesnt seem to be growing and quite a lot of new raspberry canes that so far have no leaves, maybe they will grow a cane from the roots,

Never had farm fresh milk, i assume it hasnt been pasturised, does it taste a lot different?

That was an interesting trip to a cafe, lovely you got a nice Birthday prezzie.

Hicky

hope your plum tree and raspberry canes do start to grow soon. Maybe it is just late, as I did hear it has been unusually chilly for this time of year.

The milk is actually pasteurised for food safety reasons, but unlike most supermarket milks now, it is not homogonised. And it is piped straight up from the farm where the cows are, so that is why it is called Zero miles milk, as no transport or packing into plastic bottles is done. The cows use this high tech milking system, where they just choose themselves when to wonder into the milking machine. We use glass bottles to put into this machine, where the milk comes through the pipe. And I am surprised how good it tastes, its delicous. It is very popular round here.

What is on your menu today?

We got well stocked up with Iceland stuff again last week. They have some new additions to the Cathedral City cheese stuff, so we bought a good choice.

Yes thanks I am feeling better again today, just a bit of a blocked nose and not coughing much. At last, am fed up of these colds now. My son is working with primary age kiddies at the moment, so he tends to bring home a lot of colds. Glad we are going into better weather time now.

We had a lovely warm sunny day yesterday, it reached 20c. But just as I dug out my summer clothes, it is raining today now! Let's hope bank Hol Monday is nice.

Haven't been out today, but watched a bit of fashion tv with Baz for an hour this morning, which was very nice.

Enjoyed BGT last night. Did you see it Hicky? at that sword swollowing guy.

Hope you both have a good Sunday. x

M

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Raining here today , therefore no walk ….although I did pop up the shop at the top of my road cos I ran out of milk ! So a very lazy day chez Baz , all I’ve done is one load of washing , hoovered and cleaned kitchen . I had lamb chops for lunch , and that’s me done for the day .I hope everyone else’s Sunday is more exciting than mine .

Mollie , I enjoyed both brunch time clubs this weekend . My Welsh aunty used to make a lovely Bara Brith ….yummy .Wonder what teatime club will bring this week….at least we have another choice if we don’t like the new show.Hicky , I hope you’re having a good weekend . The weather was lovely yesterday , wasn’t it ….but it’s been back to normal today .Good job I got a couple of long walks the last two days ….so at least I’ve had a bit of exercise .

Well it’s Bake Off for me tonight , after that I’m not sure ….it’s Ros pick of the viewing tonight .Have a good evening both , and take care .

Baz

Good Afternoon Mollie & Baz.

I understand about the milk now Mollie, nice to get it fresh, i usually have to throw some away, with it being so cheap i order 2 x 4 pints which is a lot from me and if any is left when the next order comes i usually throw it as the date has usually passed by then.

I had black pu, bacon and tomatoes, for tea will be having a bag of prawns in a herb and garlic sauce.

Not done much, 1 load in the washing machine & Dryer, did a dishwasher load last night, been watching my f1 recording.

I am recording BGT and some other programs as i like to be in control so i can put them on pause while i get a drink or go to the loo.

You deserve a lazy day, at least you got to the shop Baz, this weather is so up and down, i should be changing to summer clothes but now happy with weather.

Hicky

both

Baz

as Hicky says, you deserve a lazy day now and again.

I agree, the Brunch weekend club was hilarious.

Good job we are being adaptable with tea time club, as today's was rather dull. (but think that was because of the contestants). I am sure we will find something to suit, as you are great at hunting down suitable tv. I think your idea tomorrow will be good.

Hicky

yes that is the handy thing about recordings, as you can pause when you please. I enjoyed BGT this week, I find some weeks better than others.

Hope you enjoyed your prawns. MrM loves prawns too, He likes ones they sell at Iceland.

I had some brie/cranberry balls from Iceland  (in The Cathedral City line) for tea, delcious with new potatoes.

Not a bad day weather wise, so after I had done my washing and house jobs, me and MrM went to see my disabled friend. MrM helps her in her garden. Me and my friend got an ice cream with strawberry sauce when we heard the ice cream man. Then we went to see her friend who wants MrM to do some work in her garden too. Her daughter recently had a baby, so I enjoyed seeing the baby. The little darling is about 9 months now, and very content despite the fact he has dwarfism and a feeding tube into his nose. But he is progressing well and has excellent care from the hopsital.

Let's hope the good weather continues, especially now we are into May.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Good Afternoon Mollie & Baz.

Not a bad day here today, reaching 17c with cloud, dun etc so quite nice.

Just waiting for my parcel to be delivered, just had a cheese toastie.

I prefer prawns to most meats, fish meal wise i prefer a battered cod from the chippy amy day.

I had a Thai red curry last night with a mushroom veg stirfry pack done in the wok.

the new air fryer is great, being able to select the draw basket as single or double is so handy.

Never heard of Brie/Cranbury balls, wow interesting.

That icecream with strawberry sauce sounds rather yummy, i have an ice cream / choc-ice drawer in the freezer so i never run out of the yummy treats, it includes those Mars ice cream bars.

May all ready, where does time go?

I wont make a loaf today, i like to read the manual and get to know the machine first and do the usual washing stuff before first use, and check out the display and settings.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Dreadful night , had panic attack after panic attack , and not feeling great , so consequently a lousy day ! But I did manage a 3k walk this morning ….I thought it might calm things  a bit …but while it was nice to get some fresh air and sunshine , it hasn’t really helped much ! Aside from that, all I’ve done is change bedsheet, and two loads of washing …and that’s my limit for today ! I hope everyone else is having a better day than me !

Mollie , I hope your day is going ok …..looks like teatime club is going to be fun this week after all , eh . Those Brie and cranberry balls sound yummy …I usually have Wensleydale and cranberry at Xmas .Hicky , I hope your parcel arrived ok yesterday .Ive been toying with the idea of an air fryer , but they all look a bit big for just one . What type have you got ?

Well it’s another full nights viewing for me …I’m really enjoying I’m a Celeb ….and Dean Gaffney has definitely improved looks wise in the last 14 years .Have a good evening both , and take care .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Baz, so sorry to hear you had panic attacks last night, thats awful for you, but glad you got a walk in.

I am on my 3rd air fryer, 1st one was a single, then i bought a twin basket, then i got a dual/single one, i can take a centre piece out which then makes it a massive area about 12" x 9" with the barrier in its z x 6" x 9", and easy to use, i just select 2 baskets or onje big one, i can select basket 2 and use that, dont need to touch basket one, i just like loads of options, the one i use now is a Instant Vortex.

Instant Vortex Plus VersaZone-8.5L XL/Dual Air Fryer, Black,8-in-1 Smart Programmes-Fry,Bake,Roast,Grill,Dehydrate,Reheat,- Save 80% Energy Bills

If you watch Ideal World tv channel 51 iy has air fryers on often, i've seen my dual one and my latest one often.

I made a French loaf today with my new Breadmaker Machine, just using yeast/flour/salt/water its very nice, sent Mollie a pic,

Just received some free Melon seeds from Marshalls, will have to plant them, love melons.

I was chatting to Mollie during the day so she knows about the loaf.

Aaawww so sorry you have had such an awful night, and so a bad day.

But well done on managing to get yourself out of doors for a walk today, even if you felt it didn't help you much.  Hope you have a better night tonight. Have you thought any more about getting to the spa you used to like? It might do you good to mix with others and relax in the spa now the warmer weather is here?

The single air fryers are not too small for one, in fact they are ideal, as they are so versatile with what you can cook.

Glad you are enjoying IAC. Didn't know they had Dean Gaffney back. It must be some years ago now that he was in it.

Buying in the Sun was a nice episode today. Glad you waited for me, so we didn't miss out. I enjoy tea time club lots.

Hicky

Good idea to have an ice cream treat draw, especially now summer is coming.

Sounds like you are going to get a lot of good use from your air fryer. We use both of ours most nights to feed the family.

Your new loaf looked yummy, bet it is going to be a fave of yours.

Glad you got some nice weather there too.

We have had 2 lovely warm sunny days on the trot, but unfortunately, the forecast says it isn't going to last.

I am Sunday is going to be ok as a couple on our estate are arranging a party for all the neghbours in the kiddies playground for the Coronation. They are supplying all the food and all alcohol for free, which is very nice of them. They did a party Christmas time, and the food was delcious. It was originally going to be Saturday, but they have just let us know, they have changed it to Sunday because of the bad weather forecast for Saturday in this area.

Went for brekkie with my friend and her little grandson today. Very enjoyable and for a toddler, he is such a good little boy as we are there about an hour and half.

Time to watch Race Around the World now. I have enjoyed this show.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Quite a nice day here, only went in the garden to get stuff from the mancave and garage, binnies didnt come today, its only the recycle day though.

I have a few gadgets now, food mixer, rice cooker, chip cutter, toaster, kettle, scales, air fryer, George Foreman grill, and with the oven and microwave i can just about cook anything, amd also a dual fuel BBQ in the Gazebo.

This French bread makes fantastic toast, so crunchy, its hard to stop eating it, had it for brekkie with bacon and had 2 rounds for tea, with just butter on, wow, its probably to do with having no additives, which obviously would change the texture.

There is a Basic bread, it has sugar and butter in it, you can have it in 3 sizes with ingredients shown, this machine will make just about anything, the operating and recipe book shows the ingredients for about 60 items.

No party here, well if there is noone told me. am not good at parties now with seeing so little.

My Lad, No. #5 son is coming next Saturday which will be great, not sure if we will go out for food as he might fancy eating here.

Darts tonight so thats good.

Hope Baz had a better night last night.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky   Not a bad night for me ….and had a really good sleep on Wednesday night …..but I’m not feeling 100% today . I did go to the local shop , and for a short walk , but it started it rain , so I high tailed it for home! Of course , as soon as I got there the bliddy sun came out again !So I pottered about in the garden for a little while , then it started raining again ! Weather doesn’t seem to know if it’s Arthur or Martha !Aside from that I’ve not really done much …just some washing , dusting and general tidying up . ..and that’s me done for the day ! I hope everyone else is having a nice  Friday ….even though I keep thinking it’s Saturday ! Omg …it’s just started thundering now !

Mollie , I enjoyed teatime club this week ….whatever time we’ve watched it .I hope your appointment goes well this afternoon …and I’ll see you when I see you .Hicky , thanks for the info about the air fryers ….I’ll look into it .Your toast sounds yummy .No parties around here either ….well not any I’ve heard about .

Well it’s Teen First Dates , Celeb , and Gogglebox for me tonight ….so a good evenings viewing .Have a good one both

PS …Dean Gaffney was in it in 2006 …how time flies .

glad you had a better night but sorry you aren't feeling 100%. Hope you feel better soon.

Yes the weather is real weird here too, more like April showers than May sunshine.

I too enjoyed tea time club, but, sorry, I did mess you about time wise a lot this week. But at least it gave us a bit of variety.

Gosh 2006, that was such a long time ago Dean Gaffney was in it!

I hope to watch Gogglebox too but think you watch it later than me now?

Hicky

You certainly have a good selection of cooking gadgets. All helps you achieve your many varied menus though.

Sounds like you are especially going to get use of your new bread maker, as the French bread has turned out so well.

Thats nice your son hopes to visit next Saturday. Is that the one who lives in Cornwall?

Enjoy your darts tonight.

My disabled friend treated me, MrM and son to lunch today for our delayed birthday gift, and to thank MrM for doing her garden. I had a nice roast dinner, MrM had fish and chips, son had chicken curry, and friend had minted lamb chops. Me and my friend has raspberry pavlova after too, very nice.

Tv time for me now.

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Glad you had a better night Baz, i seem to be getting more restless, wondering if its because the weather is getting warmer, probably should change the duvet back to the summer one, havent gone over to summer clothes, probably should as night time temperature is about expected temps now which is a low about 10c so plants grow 24/7.

My Iceland delivery came, got some sandwich spread and jam for my toast, and got some fruited teacakes, so good toasted.

Didnt buy any frozen meals as i dont really have room, got the usual, eggs, milk etc

Had some light rain on and off, they havent been to empty the recycle wheelie bin today, it should have been emptied yesterday, i rang the council to tell them, they didnt seem to know, so have been nipping into the road each time i got an item for recycle, might as well put it in the bin and keep it in the house for another 2 weeks.

I am probably keeping this French loaf rather longer than they would in France, because it has no additives, they have to bake and sell bread daily, they dont sell the loaf the next day, unlike me, i cant bake every day, i bake when it runs out, i keep whats left in a ziplock bag, not sure if it would freeze as havent tried it.

Hope Mollie's cough etc has all cleared up.

Yes the temperature is warming up now, so it could be making you restless and might be time to change your quilt. I have swopped the warm nightie for the light weight cotton one now. But still have my teddy quilt cover on until we move into summer.

I too got some of that sandwich spread from Iceland.

My disabled friend uses the scheme from the council where they wil collect her rubbish/recycing from her front garden, so she doesn't have to take it to the kerbside. Wonder if your council would do that for you?

Oh yes, I remember now that in France they bake daily, or even twice a day, as there bread doesn't keep well.

Wonder if your French bread will keep a few days if kept in the fridge?

Can't believe it, but although my cough is a lot better, its still there now and again.

But at least I am well enough to go out again.

Didn't go out today though, as it was wet most of the day. So watched most of the Coronation.

We are going to see the puppies in the morning.  They are 5 weeks old now.

Watching BGT now, then the 1% show, I like that, as the comedian introducing it so good on it. Last week a young guy won £99k on it!

Baz

enjoyed our extra tea time show today.

Look forward to Dress to Impress in the morning.

Hope you are enjoying your tv tonight with your forum friends.

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Yes, used to have the sandwuch spread many years ago, used to love it, and still do, should always have it in.

The council come every week for wheelie bins, 1 week its the recycle, nezt week rubbish and garden waste, 2 bins, my neighbour puts them out for me and puts them away which is good of him.

I was watching a program on TV, Life Below Zero, the feller in Alaska said, i'm going in now to get the fire going on to make a loaf of bread, well, he said i only use yeast flour salt and water, which is the French bread ingredients, then he said but i dont have an oven so have to steam it, he put the dough in a small type of pan, one with a loose handle like a bucket, he then took the lid off a big steel container with 4" of water and put the pan of dough in, he put the lid on and said, i'll let the bread cook, later he said the bread should be done now, took the lid off and took the pan out with the bread in, next theng he is cutting a crush and buttering it, i couldnt believe it.

I keep the bread in a ziplock bag, you arent supposed to keep it in the fridge, you can freeze it, but i wont do that, i will just make another one.

Been watching the F1 recording, dont watch the king, dont really like him, he used to be very outspoken, he cant be now as he isnt allowed to comment now.

Evening Mollie & Baz,

Nice weather here, 17c out just now, brought a few meals in from the garage.

Had a 1 hr vid call from son in the Philipines as his daughter wanted to see me as she misses me, ah, she is so lovely, they are all ok anyway.

I have transplanted the chili seedlings into 9cm pots so hope they will grow, hoping the melon seeds germinate, i put them in the special 1" seed blocks, will transplant to small pots when they germinate.

Had some nice Chipolata sausages for brekkie, going to cook some Honey BBQ slices of belly pork, get it from iceland, so nice.

Sorry you didnt sleep well Baz, i wasnt too bad last night

They came and emptied the recycle wheelie bits ealy yesterday, not sure why they were 2 days late though.

hope you had a better night last night. Gosh you were busy with your walk and tidying your garden. But best in this country to make the most of it when we get good weather.

Yes we had a good numpties week last week, let's hope for another good weeks tea time viewing this week too.

I watched the Windsor Castle concert last night. The 1st part was good, but didn't like the 2nd half so much (not keen on Take That or Katie Perry).

Hicky

that is nice of your neighbour to put your bins out and take them in. We don't have bins here, just bin bags.

Aaaww how nice your little grandaughter wanted to video call you. Hope it won't be too long until you can go and see them again.

Hope your chilli and melon seeds do ok, but you do usually suss out your produce to get a good end result.

The bread making in Alaska sounds interesting.

Did you see Nicole Scherzinger at the King's concert? She looked incredible and I hadn't realised what a great voice she has.

I am feeling tired today, as we went early to see the puppies (had to go early as we wanted to help out, by dropping off my friend's hubby at work to save her a journey), then it was the Coronation Party in the Park in the afternoon. The puppies are so cute now. All fluffy and its chaous with 5 of them wondering all over the place now. They are 5 weeks old, so are being weaned onto puppy food, but they still follow their mum all over the place, hoping for her milk. She likes to jump up on the sofa now and again to escape them for a few minutes peace. If they start fighting though, she is there, to teach them not to, so she drags them apart. They are fascinating to watch, all developing their own personalities. Fortunately for us, my friend has noticed our pup is quiet and chilled out, but is friendly and likes being picked up. One of the pups pulled open my shoe lace.

The party was lovely, the weather perfect. A retired couple pay for it all, (they have no family of thier own). He told us he had 160 people from the estate accept invites. Must have cost them about £1500, (if not more) with all the food, alcohol and hiring a company to put up the gazebos for the food. Most of the food was from Costco, including a huge Coronation cake. We went at 2.30 and stayed till after 6. Our camp chair came in usefull.

Not such a nice day here so far today, drizzly and dull.

Have a good Bank Hol both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

We have Foxes here so if we had bin bags they would be all ripped apart all over the road.

Yes, it was lovely seeing them in the Philipines, they can have a vid call any time really, they know that, they have to go back to australia soon as their pension etc needs them to be in the country for some reason as in July they will have been out 2 years so they have to nip back for a month to sort stuff out.

Yes, i hope the chili seedlings are ok, i sent my son who gave me the seeds a picture of them, he wanted to come saturday but No. #5 son is coming from Cornwall, so No. #3 son has rescheduled to the 26th.

I couldnt believe it when the feller in Alaska said he was making a loaf and what ingredients he used and it was the recipe for the Grnch loaf, how strange is that.

I didnt see any of the coronation, and music isnt my thing either.

That was nice of the couple to lay on a party like that, it must have cost a fortune to lay it all on, it was a good udea to take your camp chair with you.

Hope Baz has had a good night and bank holiday.

I am thinking of making a seeded loaf tomorrow, more as an experiment, there is a recipe in the machine for it, i found my bag od bread seeds while looking in a top shelf in a cupboard in the utility section of the kitchen, i need to make a French loaf Friday ready for when nmy lad comes Saturday as he wants to try it

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Sunshine and showers here today . Not a bad night for me …..so I went for a walk first thing ….and I’ve had quite a productive day . I’ve hoovered , dusted , done a large load of washing , cleaned out some stuff ready for the charity collection Thursday , rescued the bins , and cleaned kitchen . I had some yummy pork chops for lunch , and that’s me done for the day .I hope everyone else is having a good day too .

Mollie , awwwwwwww the puppies sound soooo cute .Glad you had a nice bank holiday , but hope you are having some downtime today ! I’m looking forward to seeing commission Bambi today .Hicky , glad you had a nice video call to the Philippines . Are you thinking of visiting ? It will be nice to see your Cornwall son too . How is is leg doing ?

Well , it’s a full evenings viewing for me today …Yorkshire Vet , I’m a Celeb, and Ex on the Beach .I hope you both have a good evening too .

Baz

Baz

that's good you had an ok night and managed to get a walk in.

Tea time club was funny today with Commision Bambi and the Dreadfully Boring Duo Good job you found this show lurking on plus 1 as it is so amusing.

You certainly have a full evenings viewing planned. Will probably just watch Netflix, or the garden show that MrM likes tonight.

Hicky

Bin bags are not the best way for them to collect the rubbish. We get huge seagulls tearing into the bags and sometimes even the magpies have a go.

So back to Oz again, they certainly travel a lot. But I guess they are used to it by now.

I heard on the radio there is a show starting Sunday that sounds interesting. It is about the £10 Poms back in the 1950's. (a drama I think).

How nice you have 2 sons lined up for visits. Where does no3 live? Is he the one who is more local?

Its great that your seeded loaf turned out so well. Hopefully your son will get to enjoy one of your loaves on Saturday.

Not been a bad day here weather wise. Started raining about 7pm. So got washing nearly dry.

Went to Iceland, got £5 off as we are new to their Bonus Club. Have you joined their Bonus Club HIcky?

Have a good evening both xxx

Evening Mollie & Baz.

I cant really sort a visit to the Philipines till i know what is going on with my kidney stones, so that is on hold for now, glad you had a better night Baz.

Yes, Mollie, they didnt really want to have to return to Oz, but certain things require you to be in the country, think its to do with the pension etc.

Yes, No.#3 son moved out of the area so now lives an hour away but works long hours on his job.

Yes, so pleased with the seeded loaf, going to ask No.#5 son if he wants me to make one for him to take home. he is dropping his mrs off in manchester to a party and his son off with her dad, so he will be on his own here.

I didnt know iceland had a bonus club, never heard of it.

Had 2 rounds of the new loaf and a crust for tea, wow, so pleased, i will have to see what it is like as toast, but fine as bread, just like a shop bought one.

I have turned off the auto watering for the outside trees etc, but not for the greenhouse.

hope they can sort the kidney stone problem out soon, so you can get out there to visit the family.

Next time you go onto the Iceland site, have a look for the bonus card application. It should be straightforward.

That will be nice if you can manage to make your son a loaf to take back home.

I am guessing, it will be really nice as toast, as you enjoyed it so much when fresh.

Not a bad day here today, the rain storms got pretty close as they were bad in Somerset, but luckily missed us as it stayed dry today.

Went for brekkie with friend and little grandson. Waitress puts his shoes and coat on for us, as we are hopeless at it.

Did lots of washing, then sat in garden for awhile. It was quite windy but warm in the sun.

Time to watch Race Around the World.

Have you ever watched it Hicky? They are in Newfoundland/Nova Scotia tonight,  they are also in Liverpool, never knew Canada had a Liverpool.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

I will look in the iceland page as you say.

I am going to make another French loaf tomorrow and am making a seeded loaf friday for my lad to take home Saturday with him.

I started watching, well recording Race across the world, till i found out it was canada so didnt bother.

Hope Baz had a good night and a good day.

Back in, forgot to say, take delivery tomorrow from you know who, a massive Toblarone 4.5kg.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky   It’s been mainly dry here …with a few showers . I had to wait in for a parcel , so no walk so far today , but, as the parcel has now arrived ,  I may pop up the local shop shortly .Not a bad night for me , but not really done a lot today . Just some washing , and general tidying up….so a very lazy day chez Baz .

I’ve just been out playing with my new wire garden brush …..it certainly does the trick with getting the moss and weeds out from between the patio pavers  ….although I was bemoaning the fact that it wasn’t as long handled as I expected ! Luckily , it started to rain so I came inside again ….and did what Mr B  always told me to do ….and read the bliddy instructions ! Turns out it’s got a fully telescopic handle ! I could almost see him rolling his eyes at me ! I hope everyone else is having a good Thursday .

Mollie , I hope you have a lovely time with your friend this afternoon . I’m enjoying Bargain Brits this week . I’m glad the two women won Race Across the World. Hicky , I hope they can sort your kidney stones out soon….it seems to have gone on a while now .Enjoy your toblerone ….I love chocolate , but not toblerone .

Well , it’s the penultimate Im a Celeb tonight …so it’s Cyclone time .Have a good evening both .

Evening Mollie & baz.

I know those wire brushes for the garden flags work well, the weeds will come back as its just about impossible to kill them off.

Yes, cant wait to find out about these kidney stones, so annoying, the longer it goes on the longer its going to take to get sorted, i cant get on with my life with this hanging over me.

The tablerone is so big, never seen anything like it, got one piece off and started eating it, like a mouse nibbling at a chunk of cheese.

I made another French loaf, when i took the bag of flour from the cupboard i was surprised to find anly couple of hungred grams left, it seems that when i made the seeded loaf i have used the French flour by mistake, its not a problem as i have plenty of each but i intended to just use normal strong bread flour.

The French loaf looks lovely, wont cut into it as i have the seeded one to eat, i wanted to keep it incase my lad fancies some on saturday, going to make him a seeded one tomorrow to take home saturday when he leaves.

Watching the darts tonightm night 15 of 17 on sky sports 426 from Sheffield - Premier League.

Sent Mollie a pic of the Toblerone bar, each piece is so big, She likes them, the nougat can be annoying.

Got through to the gardener, he may get time tomorrow or saturday, hopw so.

thats good you had an ok night, and hope you managed to squeze your walk in,

Lol at you not following MrB's advice with the garden brush. As you found out today, it was certainly good advice for you to follow!

Yes I too was pleased to see those 2 nice women win "Race around the World", they certainly deserved it.

I agree that Bargain Brits is such fun this week. They certainly like their bargains over there, even though most of the bargains they seem to buy is junk.

I had a lovely time with my friend walking round Cardiff Bay thanks, as the weather was perfect, warm and sunny and we had a nice lunch in the Weatherpoon. I have known her since our kiddies were  toddlers, so its nice to catch up with her.

Hicky

4.5 kilos that is some big Toblerone. Should last you awhile. I know what you mean about the nuggart being annoying sometimes as it is so chewy.

I bought MrM a big one from Costco for Christmas, but don't think it was as big as that. We had to put it in the microwave a piece at the time for 30 secs, as it was so hard to bite.

Hope the loaf you intend for your son on Saturday turns out nice.

Can't find much on tv tonight, so just watching some show about DNA.

Goodnight both xxx

Evening Mollie & Baz.

I am chipping my way through the first Toblerone triangle, wow, didnt realise the chocolate was so hard when its so thick, i might have to try cutting it up some way, not sure if it can be melted, some choclate wont melt, it depends how they made it, all good fun though.

I have made the seeded loaf for my lad when he comes tomorrow, he can try the French loaf i made yesterday, he can take it home as well if he wants, i'll just make another, it only takes 5 minutes to get stuff ready and in the machine, dont touch it again untill i take the bread pan out and take the loaf out to put on the cooling rack to cool.

I've got the ingredients now to make some cake so will be looking into that, mpre fore something to do, was hoping the gardener could come today but he didnt, he might come in the morning, if he doesnt i'll have to ring him as som coming around lucnch time i hope.

Hicky

Evening Mollie & Baz.

An interesting day here for me, my gardener arrived at 09:30 and took 2 hours just to weed the lot, my lad arrived about 1pm, we had a wander around the garden etc, by the time we got out to get some food we found that they all close at 2pm either for lunch or for the day, so we had a dreive around then decided to come home for toasted bacon sandwiches, we then did a few jobs in the garden then went through a load of papers left from Mrs so we sorted that either into the shredder or into recycle, he then wanted food so he went to the local chippy for fish and chips, then his mrs rang and said could pick her up, she was at a hen party but they were a bit boisterous as had probably been drinking all day, i gave him a segment from the toblerone for his lad who has rather a sweet tooth, and also gave him the seeded loaf i made for him.

He did say he thought the bacon toasted sandwiches must be the best hes ever had, made with the Frnch bread i made.

He also screwed some timber on the bottom of the back door of the garage, cats could get in, and did, now they cant.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky   Covid booster all done …,Pfizer again this time ….glad it wasn’t the combined one like last time ! I decided to walk home ….it’s about two and a half k ….but I forgot about the bliddy hill again !Anyway , it’s all sorted now until the autumn . I’m going to wait a week , and then try and go to the spa I used to go to. .I’ve been too scared to go there since Covid , but now I’ve conquered going into the shops, and the taxi ,  without a mask I’m hoping I can make myself go back to the spa. Apart from all that , I’ve not really done much , just some washing , and hoovering . I hope everyone else is enjoying their Sunday .

Mollie , I enjoyed DTI yesterday ….but what a chav she was .If you can make 5 o’clock this week then we can do Bargain Brits again .I hope your weekend is going well and that you’re behaving yourself .Hicky , yes, I love my wire brush ….it certainly does a good job ….it will make things a lot easier to keep on top of things .Wow , that’s a whopping toblerone .I hope they get a move on with your kidney stones . My sons echo (for his heart) has been postponed yet again…it’s not until June now !

Well it’s Bake Off, and that Simon Reeve programme for me tonight .Have a good evening both , and take care .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Not done much today, had tinned toms with sausages and toast for brekkie then some pork ribs for tea.

I wouldnt worry too much about the covid mask as they say it doesnt protect you anyway, its more use if you have covid to stop spreading it, my neighbour told me the other day that her friend had had covid 5 times.

I have only worn a mask in the hospital a couple of times over the last couple of years, never worn it anywhere else.

I've changed into a short sleeve shirt, was going to change to short pants but have decided to wait till June, did one washing load and then dried in the dryer, put the dishwasher on last night to do the dishes etc, the cleaners are due tomorrow as they have been unwell, should have been here weeks ago.

Hope you had a good weekend Mollie.

hope you are recovering after your busy day yesterday. Fancy forgetting about that steep hill!

That will be lovely for you to return to your spa, as I know how much you enjoyed it. This is the perfect time of year to go with all the nasty winter cold germs on the way out.

yes DTI girl was a real super chav and very annoying. But the show is also very entertaining. (especially watching it with you too!).

Sorry your son's echo is taking so long to come around. So frustrating how long everyone seems to have to wait for nhs appointments now.

Hicky

Not surprised you find it hard to eat that huge Toblerone. Try doing what I do, and putting it in microwave for a few seconds. I do 15 secs, turn it over then another 15 secs and it just softens it enough to eat it easier but doesn't melt it.

How nice your son enjoyed your loaf so much. I bet his son enjoyed his piece of your Toblerone too.

What cheeky cats they were sneaking in your garage.

Have you made any cakes yet with your bread maker?

I had a busy weekend as weather was so nice.

Friday we went for lunch with my disabled friend. I had roast dinner with Yorkshire puds.

Saturday we went to an animal farm. Very nice to see llamas, donkeys, ducks etc. Then I had a nice sit down there whilst son and MrM went a walk in the woods.

Yesterday visited the pups. They are even more mischeiveous now. Trying to climb onto the sofa but can't do that yet, and trying to nibble our shoes and my handbag.

Then we went to the milk shed to get our fresh from farm milk. They also sell veg that look really good. Will get some next time.

Agree with Hicky Baz. Don't worry about the masks, they now believe they don't do a lot. But can be bad for you as they restrict the flow of oxygen and encourage bacteria.

Tv time now.

Am watching a local murder tale on bbc based on a true story from the 1970;s. Some people I know remember it happening.

Lovely day weather wise today here, looks like the whole country is in for a bit of summer weather this week.

Goodnight both  xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

The cleaners came today, i gave her the bread machine and air fryer, she cant eat normal bread, so needs to make special bread, also, she has a small single air fryer so my twin one will be handy for her.

I finished the one segment from the Toblerone, just broke it up using my letter opener, gave a piece to one of the cleaners, usually 3 come, only 1 likes it.

Yes, my son said this morning he had some of the loaf with a pack of my Korean spicy noodles, he was going to give his son the Toblerone when he comes from school, havent heard from him since.

I havent made any cake yet, not sure which to make, i have a pack of sultanas but i got them years ago as i used to make scone, so not sure what to do yet.

Will make a French loaf tomorrow as i have none left now.

I a, leaving off the milk for a while as i have a feeling thats what is causing all my Phlegm, so not going to get any for now to see how things go, i love whole ,ilk as well.

Yes, it looks like nice weather on the way, it should be as well.

Hope Baz had a good day anyway.

Hicky
