Evening Mollie & Baz.

I'll send molly a message, oh dear, you can do without a cold, could be the change in temperature, it doesnt take much.

Glad you slept ok, i often get up for a nice cold drink of orange juice or fanta in the night, and go to the loo, it helps me settle down again.

I had a dwlivery today of a big black ud stick, will have to slice it, wrap and get it into the freezer, had a nice brekkie, salfcod, bacon and poached eggs, for tea just cooked some salt n pepper wings, so nice.

I did the bacon in the George Foreman, only put it in for 2 minutes and it was overdone, wow, the new one comes tuesday.

I did a bit on my watering system, have got No.#3 son coming in the morning to help out so i did a couple of jobs, mounted 2 timer units in the garage and traced some hose pipes that were under the blue slate, nearly all the garden is blue slate, it was so if i walked the garden after the rain i would never pick up stuff to take into the house, it works as well.

As soon as i have one iceland delivery i start making the next list out online, i just add to it, i dont sign in though, at this stage.

Got the CT scan tomorrow, not till 1:45 though.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky   Lovely sunny day, but still a chilly breeze . Reasonable night for me , so I went for a walk this morning ….saw another Cyril ….and popped to the shop for some more bird food …and peanuts …in case a Cyril decides to visit my garden .Apart from that I’ve anti bacd the Sainsbury delivery , dusted , and done a load of washing . The bin is out ready for collection tomorrow , I’ve had some nice Wiltshire ham for lunch , and that’s me done for today .I hope everyone else is enjoying their Monday .

Mollie , I hope you are feeling a bit better today .Hicky , I hope the CT scan went ok . When will you get the results ? How long does it normally take to do bacon in the George Foreman ? I didn’t realise you could do things like that in it ….I might consider getting one , cos I quite often fancy a bacon sarnie , but can’t be bothered to put the oven/grill on just for a couple of rashers .

Not sure what I’m watching tonight , but sure I’ll find something .Have a good evening , and take care of yourselves .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Hope you are feeling better Mollie, get well soon.

My new George Foreman cam today, its a medium size with removable grill plates, wow fantastic, this one model is a 24330.

I usually do bacon in the air fryer, but tried it in the George Foreman, in the old one, let it heat up till ready light goes on then put bacon in, it was very thin straky, 5 rashers, it was ready in 2 minutes, if you do a toastie it takes about 3 minutes, so fast.

My lad came yesterday and we did all the watering system changes, very happy with that, today i tested the piping and set the greenhouse watering online, will test the other 2 zones tomorrow, need to check for leaks etc.

I will just wait for a letter from the Urology dept from the local hospital.

Another of my lads has got me playiong chess with him online, hope its not too much for my eyes, he has different openings and i can be playing different colour to my other lad so i might get confused.

Glad you got a walk in, now its warming up i will have to start going for small walks arounf the block/culdesac.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Another sunny …if cold …day here today , but rain forecast for tomorrow , so I kicked my rear into gear and went for a walk first thing ….and I was rewarded by having a two or three minute face off with a very cute Cyril .Apart from that I’m in shock , cos I couldn’t make up a machine load of washing !So I’ve hoovered upstairs and down , cleaned the bathroom , and  rescued  the bins . My gardener came , mowed lawns and weeded the front flower beds . They will do the back ones next time they come , and then, as the bulbs are going over,  it will be time for thinking about bedding plants . Now I’m waiting for my new grill to be delivered ….somewhere between 2-6 , apparently ! I hope everyone else is enjoying their Tuesday  too .

Mollie , glad you are feeling a bit better now .That new teatime programme was hilarious yesterday , wasn’t it .Can’t wait to see if it all kicks off again today . Hicky , I’ll probably need your expertise once my grill comes .I only ordered the small one , but hopefully I will be able to do a pork chop, or a couple of lamb chops on it ?Glad you and your son sorted out the watering system . Hope the chess isn’t to strenuous on your eyes .

Well, it’s another sparse night of tv viewing ….roll on the new I’m a Celeb later this month !I hope you both have a good evening though . Take care .

Baz

Good afternoon Mollie & Baz.

Hope Mollie is feeling better.

Had the cleaners here this morning, they do a good job, and we sorted through the garage freezer so i could see what i had, i tested the other 2 xones on the watering system and found a couple of small leaks i will have to fix, will sort another day, have just put the electric blaket thingie out to dry as one cleaner put it in the washer for me on a 40c cycle.

Glad you managed a walk, i've been on the garden so at least i got out.

Hope your grill comes, i've been slicing my big black pud, got about 24 good size slices, each in clingfilm and in freezer.

For tea i'm thawing and heaing a chicken curry my lad brought Sunday, will do some rice in the rice cooker.

Hoping for a letter or appointment from urology, be interesting to see if the zapping worked or not, or what plan B is.

Which model Grorge Foreman did you order, my original one was 25811 new one is 24330.

Just remember, it is very fast, plug and switch on to let it heat up, then add the food etc, and time from then, you can lift the top to see how its going, better than ocerdoing it as its so fast.

Hicky

Hicky , I got the smallest one …..not sure what the model number is …but it was Β£22 from Argos . I tried it out at lunchtime …on some lamb chops ….it is certainly faster than doing them in the oven ( which is how I usually do them ) , but is there a way to get the fat to crisp up ? Plus the fact that the lid doesn’t push right down threw me a bit initially ….until I put my brain into gear and realised it couldn’t .Anyway , I’ll have a go at a pork chop tomorrow , and see how I go .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Gld you got your grill, I am a bit confused, without me knowing the model i cant find out all about it on the web, the model number will be on the back or on the box.

The lid does close right down, or it should, otherwise it cant work properly, also has it a light that tells you when it hot and ready to add the food?, and to crisp the fat that depends on how long you leave it cooking.

I got a taxi to the hair dressers, got my hair washed then hair cut and beard trimmed, got an appointment at dentist tomorrow at 4:30 to check on this dodgy tooth, its been fine today.

Hope Mollie is getting better.

Hicky

Baz, i looked on the Argos site for the Β£22 George Foreman grill, i found this one, its the model 25800, it has the up to temperature light, it has the f;pating rear hinges so the top plate always rests on the food when you close it.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Sunny here today , and quite warm in the sun . Not a bad night, so I went for a walk first thing . I did two and a half k , at pace , so I’m gradually getting back to normal , or what counts as normal for Baz. Aside from that I’ve done a load of washing , hoovered , and dusted . I had another go with my Foreman grill ….a pork chop this time , and I think I’ve now got the hang of it .I hope everyone else is having a good Thursday .

Mollie , I hope the cough is a bit easier today ….and that you are enjoying some sunshine down there …it’s definitely looking quite good for the weekend.Hicky , I tilted the grill , and managed to get a nice colour on my chop today .It is certainly a lot less hassle /time etc ….cleans easily too …so thanks for telling me about it .Hope the dentist went well . I used to have my hair cut/ etc regularly , but when we went into lockdown I bought a hair clipper and do my own now .Between that and the lightening spray that Mollie told me about I have managed to keep on top of it .

Not sure what I’m watching tonight ….apart from teatime club ….but sure I’ll find something . I noticed Masterchef starts again next week …it’s on three times a week , so that will sort me out a bit lHave a good evening . Take care .

Baz

Good Afternoon Mollie & Baz.

Hope Mollie id feeling better.

Glad you got out for a walk Baz and sorted the grill, i made a cheese toastie on mine this morning using my new 3 round idea, cutting the middle from the centre round keeps all the good stuff from oozing out all over the grill, i might try it with 3 medium rounds.

Been in the garden, i tested the zone 3 of the watering system, it covers about 12 trees and the Kiwi vine and a grape vine, tightened a few couplers on the water pipes, i designed it originally so that each of the 5 raised beds could be turned off and that all the watering system could be uncoupled an removed if needed, i have ordered another 15m reel so any pipe leaks can be replaces, have a feeling the gardener catches the pipes when weeding etc.

Have got some darts to watch tonight, the usual Thursday event, its in a different country or city every week, Birmingham tonight, always the same 8 players and they play till a final on the night.

Just watching Gold Divers, love it.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Still sunny , and warm in the sun ….so I went for a 2.5 walk at lunchtime .Apart from that , I’ve not done a lot ….just some washing , fed the wildlife , and general tidying up .I had some nice M&S poached salmon for lunch , and sorted out a few bits and bobs for charity collection on Tuesday . I hope everyone else is enjoying their Saturday .

Mollie , I hope you are feeling a bit better today . I enjoyed our trashy hour this morning .Hicky , I didn’t realise you could do toasties on it too.I’m still not convinced about the way it does lamb chops ….but it certainly does a good job on pork chops .I’m going to try a steak on it tomorrow .Does your watering system use a lot …money wise ?

Well it’s a bit of Bettany Hughes for me this evening .By the way , Masterchef is back next week .Have a good weekend both …and take care .

Baz

Good Afternoon Mollie & Baz.

Hope you are both ok and enjoying the nice weekend weather.

Nice here today, 12c with slight breeze, my new soaker hose came so made up a new ring to replace the one that was leaking, it sounds funny, a soaker hose leaking, but water was squirting out from a point on the circle, its not really a problem but the water doesnt usually go were you would like it too, the circle is usually about 30cm dia fastened with a 13/4/13mm tee reducer, that then connects to a 4/6mm black plastic pipe which has a mini flow valve connected which then connects to the main pipe or saoker hose, depending on which area of the watering system it is, the watering system has about 45 ft of watering pipe including about 26 circles of soaker hose which are either around fruit trees or raspberry canes in tubs.

Have made out an order for Iceland to be delivered Monday, i'm amazed what they sell, made a nice brekkie this morning, bacon egg, sausage, tomato, beans, black pud, hash brown, didnt have mushrooms so have ordered some,

All my fruit trees have got good growth on them, hoping for some nice fruit this year, but some trees need to get established before they fruit., cant wait fot the Kiwi to fruit.

Hicky

both

Wishing you both a Happy Easter.

I am back, what a stinker of a cold that was. I thought I had done well remaining cold free for near on a year, then that hit me.

Son bought it home from drama, 2 of the girls there, developed tonsillitis after it. Not surprised as my throat was so sore and my voice is still croaky now and I am still coughing. Being a lot younger, son shook it off quicker than me. MrM got it too.

Baz

how nice you too got a griller like Hicky.

Sounds like it should save you quite a bit in electric whilst cooking your lunch.

Yes I am enjoying our new tv tea time show. Goes nicely with our 4 In  a Bed.

Hicky

glad to hear your fruit trees are doing well and its nice you can get back in your garden again.

I too am enjoying sitting in the garden now it is warming up.

How did you get on at the dentist with that tooth?

Hope you hear from urology soon.

We are having Sunday dinner today as its Easter. I have hardly eaten in the last 10 days, but should be able to eat some dinner now I am feeling better today. Family have chicken and I have the veg with Yorkshires and stuffing.

Going to peg out washing now and sit in garden.

Have a good day both xxx

M

Afternoon Darnies Another riveting day chez Baz All I’ve done is cleaned the bathroom, and kitchen and some washing ….oh joy! No walk today cos I think I overdid it the last couple of days cos my foot was hurting a bit this morning ….so decided a day off is in order ….well that’s my excuse , and I’m sticking to it !I hope everyone else is having a more exciting Easter than I am .

Mollie , we’ve spoken ….but I really enjoyed lunchtime club …..even though that woman was horrendous .I hate the weekends , so it helps to break it up a bit for me ….so thank you . Hicky , I’ve decided that lamb chops don’t do well in the Foreman, but going to try out some gammon steaks, or beef steak ,  tomorrow .I am glad you are so pleased with your Iceland deliveries ….we used to go there quite a bit at one point …and they did have a very wide selection of food .

Well it’s Bake Off for me tonight ….if anyone turns up .Enjoy the rest of the Easter weekend . Take care .

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Glad you are a bit better Mollie, not nice when you catch stuff off others.

Yes, rest your foot Baz, you could easily put healing backwards, you dont need to take walk that long.

I'm still confused since going to the dentist, he couldnt find anything wrong with the back tooth i thought was the problem, but another tooth but on the top needs a filling but he didnt have time so packed it for now, but as usual, early morning when it was about 4am my teeth hurt when i closed my teeth, i got hold of the bottom back tooth and it hurt, layer when i was up i got hold of the tooth and it was fine, stange, no idea what is going on, am back at the dentish Tuesday, hope they can sort something out, probably need an xray to look at the root as nothing was showing on the outside when they looked at it.

No word from Urology about the ct scan, but think the kunior doctors are on strike, not sure here mind.

I had a letter saying i had used 21,000 litres of water, not bad for 6 months, water usued to cost Β£5 for 1,000 litres, thats including standing charges, also cost of removing the water and rain water, water only costs Β£1.28 per 1,000 literes, it has gone up from the Β£5 to Β£6.14.

And a letter from british gas telling me the charges, i've turned the heating back to manual, going to have it on 18c at night and 19c in the day.

The tv programs are such a pain, the 24 hrs in A&E i watched the other night was 2016, i watched the Life Below Zero, series 8, checked on the web, that was 2016, they are on series 19 now, but it doesnt seem to be on our screens.

And now, watching Alaskan Bush People and find we are years behind, Billy Brown died in 2021 after a fatal seizure.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  it was a lovely sunny morning here , but it’s clouded over now , and the breeze is picking up …..we are expecting an afternoon of rain ! But I did get a walk in this morning ….so I’ve hunkered down for the rest of the day now .Aside from that I’ve not done much …just some washing , rescued bins , and cleaned kitchen . I had a nice pork chop for lunch ( cooked on my Foreman grill) and that’s me done for today . I hope everyone else is enjoying their Tuesday .

Mollie , hope your throat is a bit better today ….and that you’ve managed to get the hand washing sorted . Looks like being a fun week on teatime club , eh .Hicky , I hope the dentist has managed to sort things out for you today .I agree there are loads of repeat tv programs on at the moment !( I also watch A&e ) Are you watching the new series of Masterchef ?

Well it’s teatime club , Dinner Date , and Masterchef for me tonight .Have a good evening both .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Hope you are feeling better Mollie.

Went to dentist early as requested, no point in that because he didnt see me till half an hour later, i ex[lained what happens at night, i got him to xray the bottom right back tooth, he said mthje root seems fine, i mentioned about the pain if i have a hot drink in the day, he did a search and found some decay, he put a temporary packing till i can get it filled, i booked a 30 min appointment, earliest one 13th June.

Sabe here, sunny morning, rain now, well, it is April, and March was the wetting on record.

Did some weeding in the greenhouse, weeds grow in the tubs all the time.

I havent been watching masterchef, just too many progams no to watch.

Hicky

both x

Baz

another new week on tea time club and looks like a lot of fun to come

Glad you got your walk in before the rain arrived, but take care not to overdo it and make it painfull again.

i see you have found another cookery show to watch. there certainly seem to be plenty of them around lately. I have been enjoying 2 new reality shows, 1 set in South Africa, that ended last night, really good and I am also enjoying "Rise and Fall" that ends this week.

Hicky

how odd that tooth looked ok to the dentist. Hope it settles down. Do you use Sensodene toothpaste? Me and my family find that really usefull if we get some kind of odd tooth discomfort.

Let's hope the Junior Doc strike doesn't slow down your urology stuff. They are not on strike here in Wales (don't think they are in Scotland either). I think they settled a decent wage with the government here. You still thinking of going abroad when your kidney problems are sorted?

I agree about repeats on tv being a pain. Such a nuisance when you realise it has been on before or is years old.

I am still staying home trying to knock this cold on the head. So slow getting better, cough in the night is annoying and voice all croaky, but improving slowly.

Been showery and windy here today, getting even more windy tomorrow they say. But they reckon next week is going to get warm for us all, fingers crossed.

Have a good day both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz,

Hope Baz had a good Wednesday.

Think i said the dentist Tuesday packed a hole temp in the lower rear right tooth, he only found a hole after i said a hot drink hurt, well, last night i had the same toothache and pain again so rang the dentist at 9am today, he said it might have to come out, come to see hime Friday, i am wondering if there is another hole in the same tooth as he had said the roots looked ok on the xray so am confused, i took 2 paracetamol in the end, and 2 more today.

Not sure if the docs strike is effecting my urology problem or not.

Its been raining on and off all day so only been to the bin, the window cleaners came in between showers, well it was actually raining while they were here.

Hope you cold goes soon and your throat get better, a cough is so annoying.

I was looking on the web searching for when certain series of programs started etc, so good, the Alaskan Bush People Billy died ywaea ago, and when i seached for the Aussie Opal Hunters a page came up with every detail you could want, who is in every series, how many seroes and rpisodes, the year and date they came out, amazing.

But it annoys me that they just restart with an old series, from say 2016, a nightmare.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Chilly , and breezy here today … no rain so far .I had another so so night , but I did go for a two and a half k walk at pace first thing …..blew away a few cobwebs .Apart from that , I’ve not done a lot , just a load of washing , cleaned the kitchen , emptied the bins and fed the wildlife .  Just ate my lunch and now  I’m slobbed out in front of the TV .I hope everyone else is enjoying their Thursday .

Mollie, hope you are feeling more like your old self now…it’s certainly hanging about, isn’t it .Hope you are having as much fun as I am in teatime club .Are we going to be watching any weekend club this week?Hicky , sorry your tooth is giving you so much gyp.I’m sure the doctors strikes are probably affecting your urology appointment too !

I think it’s Dragons Den , crime and nature for me tonight …so a real mixed bag .Have a good evening both .

Baz

Afternoon Mollie & Baz.

Hope you are feeling a bit better Mollie, the cold doesnt want to leave you.

Glad you got a walk in Baz, good to keep moving but easy to overdo it as well.

The bins got emptied today, i had a wander around the garden, still pretty windy, 10c so not too cold, checked the fruit trees, they seem ok, had a look in the greenhouse, dont think many of the raspberry canes are growing, but the new growth should come from the roots, we will see.

Had some nice Chestnut mushies with bacon and egg for brekkie, had 2 mini cobs for an afternoon snack, for tea it will be home made chips done in the air fryer with chicken wings in the other basket, i chipped the spuds, soaked them then dried, i then oil them abd season before cooking later.

My tooth wasnt as bad last night, strange, when i search on the web it says its because more blood rushes to my head when in bed, i'm sure i have another hole in the problem tooth.

Been reading on the web about all the reality shows, lots in Alaska, it mentions about how they are all scripted, not the woeds, the events for the days filming, they said if they didnt arrange the events they would have nothing to film, all the series we are watching are at least 5 to 7 years old or more, and the channels that have them on now never had them when they were filmed.

Hicky

both x

Baz

well done getting your walk done, but take care not to overdo it.

Yes I too am really enjoying tea time club this week. Its good to have the 2 completely different shows in the hour.

I will be watching some weekend morning club this weekend. Not sure about Saturday morning though, as we are picking up an old friend of mine from the station, so depends on timing. She is coming to see son's matinee show with me. My other friend who comes to his shows, has dialysis Saturdays though, so couldn't makde the matinee, so I am going Friday night with her. So will let you know about Saturday when I know timings.

Hicky

Sorry your tooth is still bothering you. Such a puzzle for you if it comes and goes like that and the dentist can't see what it is. Hope it doesn't bother you tonight and your dentist can help solve it for you tomorrow.

You had the same weather as us the last 2 days...rain yesterday and dry but windy today. So good job you were able to get in your garden today. I got lots of washing dried in the wind and sun today. And also had a sit outside. (wearing jumper, tshirt and vest though to protect against the wind!).

Do you soak the potatoes in cold water before air frying them for chips? I'd like to have a go at making them. What type of oil do you spray on them?

I too like chesnut mushrooms. Do you cook them in the air fryer too?

Feeling much better cough wise, but at night, I still get this hoarse voice. A friend rang me and I could hardly speak. They did tell me after the op on my thyroid that my voice might get affected. Hope it gets back to normal soon.

I am watching Cruising with Susan tonight (I really like her), then Reunion Hotel as I enjoyed it last week and its the final of Rise and Fall. What an excelent reality series it has been.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Beautiful spring like day here ….so I’ve been for two walks this morning ….covered nearly 4k all told …so go me .Aside from that , I’ve done the duvet shuffle , two loads of washing , hoovered , fed wildlife , and anti bacd the M&S delivery , window cleaners been , and had some nice poached salmon for lunch ….and that’s me done for today .I hope everyone else is enjoying their Saturday .

Mollie , I hope the musical went well last night ….and today ….and that you are having a nice time with your friends .Not sure if you’ve watched it yet , but no big surprises in Porto .Hicky , how is your tooth ….I hope you haven’t got another cavity .I’m not surprised about *reality* shows being scripted .By the way , I’m a Celeb South Africa starts on 24th .

Well , not much on the tv tonight , but I’m sure I will find something to watch .Have a good weekend both ….and take care .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

I must have lost a post, must have forgotten to press the reply icon, darn it.

Dentist didnt take out the tooth, going back in 10 days, if all ok till then i will get the 2 fillings done.

Yes i soak the chips for 10 minutes, i dont peel the spuds, i then dry them and put a little oil in a big bowl and put the chips in and keep turning them over with a fork untill each has a little oil on, then i cook at 180c for for 25 mins, shake them up a few times while cooking, how long you cook them for will depend on how well cooked you want them.

I dry fry the mushrooms, slice at an angle, fry for 5 minutes then turn them over, for 5 minutes, medium heat, when water has evaped drizzle oil over and leave a few minutes to fry then move them around on a higher heat, they should be lovely then.

Hope you voice retuens to normal soon, alot happens at night because you body closes down quite a lot.

Wow, 2 walks Baz, you cant beat poached salmon, my iceland delivery came yesterday, lots of goodiw, and my new breadmaker came as well, will try a loaf tomorrow.

My tooth wasnt too bad last night, it hasnt bothered me today, maybe it is calming down.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Overcast here today , but I did go for a walk first thing . Aside from that , I’ve not done a lot , just cleaned kitchen and bathroom, fed wildlife and put bin out ready for collection tomorrow , and anti bacd the Sainsbury delivery . I had some lamb chops for lunch and that’s the sum total of my day .I hope your Monday is more exciting than mine .

Mollie , what a right shower the pickers on DTI were yesterday , eh .I hope you’ve recovered from your hectic weekend , and that your cough is a bit easier now .Hicky , I’m glad your tooth seems a bit easier now . I’ve done the β€˜not pressing post’ bit before now …it’s bliddy annoying , eh !Yes, I love my M&S poached salmon …it’s yummy .

Well , it’s another sparse tv viewing today ….although I’m looking forward to teatime club .Have a good evening both .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Hope Mollie is getting over her cold and sore throat, and back to normal.

At least you got a walk in, i didnt go out, got some post, an appointment at the hospital urology outpatients clinic on 2nd June, got another, the 6th Covid jab Saturday, quite a way away, another big taxi journey.

I added another pillow last night, it didnt seem to make much difference, tooth didnt bother me really, but same as night before, will just see how it goes.

I made a loaf today, tried the Fastbake program, its very fast, like 1hr 20mins but had trouble setting the crust setting so its not as dark as it should be, i was using my head set of magnifying glasses, its quite good, problem is i have so little central vision.

Going to try the french bread recipe which takes over 3 hrs but might make a better loaf, todays is too dense i think, and very moist, probably because i couldnt set the crust to dark which i would assume dries the loaf out more because of the ectra heat needed.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky It was sunny, but very chilly here this morning , now it’s very overcast ! I did manage to get a walk in first thing , and the gardener has been , so lawns look ok again .Aside from that , I’ve fed the wildlife , swept the patio, done a load of washing and emptied the bins ….and that’s the sum total of my exciting day. I hope everyone else is more gripping than mine .

Mollie , I hope your day is going well and that your cough and throat have eased a bit .Hicky , I’ve still not had the call for my Spring Covid jab , but I’m hoping it’s going to be somewhere local , cos like you , I have to get a taxi!  Glad you’ve had your urology appointment through though .

Well it’s an evening of what Ros and I call trashy tv tonight .I hope you’ve both have  a good evening . Take care .

Baz

both x

sorry haven't posted in awhile, but not been on lappy much lately.

Not quite got rid of this cough, so am tired with being so busy lately because it was son's performance, which I saw twice with different friends. Then went to visit my friend yesterday as her dog had 5 puppies, 2 weeks ago and they are so cute.

Baz

That is good you got your walk in.  This time of year, we have to take advantage of any dry days we get.

I certainly have had a washing line full the last couple of days.

Enjoy your trashy tv. Do you watch "Race Round the World?". I enjoy that show, but as its only in Canada this year, its not exactly round the world.

Hicky

that is good you got your urology appointment. Hopefully you will know where you stand after this one and will be able to make holiday plans soon.

I thought they had stopped the covid jabs now. Spring seems an odd time to give them with summer just round the corner.

Hope you have more luck with your next loaf. MrM seemed to have trouble too with Fastbake, so maybe they are trickier to get right.

I think the dentist did right not to rush to take the tooth out, if it sounds like it is calming down now. Let's hope it continues to do so now.

Thanks for the chips and mushrooms info. Will give it a go.

We were so lucky with the weather the day of son's musical. My friend travelled nearly 3 hours each way by train, so we had lunch together and a nice walk down seafront in the sunshine. She really enjoyed the show, which I am relieved about after she travelled so far.

Its no wonder my son has lost so much weight with all the dancing he did in this show! I am always nagging him to not forget his meals but when he has a show, if you eat too much, you feel uncomfy.

Its been a nice day here again today but chilly overnight. Still, can't complain as it is only April.

Have a good evening both xxx

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Not much happening here, was supposed to have a vid call with a Brother & partner but she forgot, checked the garden, nothing too important needs doing, a bit of weeding in the floor slate, but it cant root down as there is weed mat all over the whole garden.

Had a letter from NHS / Gov offering Covid jab but my GP had already sent me a text message with a link, so thats sorted.

Might try a French loaf tomorrow as dont have anything to do, not as yet anyway.

Glad you got a walk in and your laens done, i only have fake grass, like i dont want a dog to look after, i done want grass to look after either.

Sorry you have been under the weather and so busy as well, yes, it will be great to find out how my kidney stones are, be great if they have all gone, but probably not.

Its called a Spring booster jab, probably need another in Autumn, think it means the jabs dont last as long as they hoped.

I think i had set the wrong crust colour, with my eyes i couldnt easy see the small icons on the small display, it has 3 colours, light, med, dark, but the icon seemed to be 1 bar, 2 bar or 3 bar, each on top of each other like a _, if i remember i will get my lad to show me when he comes Friday to take me out for a meal.

Its strange the tooth not bothering me in the day, i will just get the 2 fullings and see how it goes, i dont want to lose this one as its the only one left with the one above for chewing..

Wow, 3 hours each way, thats quite a journey to see a show, nice that you could have lunch together though.

Its probably advisable to have a small snack 1 or 2 hours before a show, then have a meal after the show.

I cant believe how old some of the tv shows are, wven the Storage Hunters has big D in loads of them and he did years ago and when you google the series of shows you realise some are 5 to 7 years old, and a lot we never saw as they wearnt on the normal tv channels, all the Alaskan ones were on the US channels, probably pay per view from 2015.

hope you enjoyed your walk in the sunshine today.

Hicky

well it looks like your French loaf turned out lovely. HOpe it was as delicous as it looked.

What a shame they forgot the video call, hope they call again soon

Oh yes, I did hear those jabs don't last that long. But I also heard covid is nowhere near as dangerous as it was, and is more like a bad cold, so let's hope it dissappears for good soon.

It such a shame a lot of things are hard to read, they never seem to cater for those with eye problems.

Fingers crossed the fillings knock your tooth problem on the head now.

Yes the train journey took so long as she had 2 changes, it only takes an hour in the car but gaps between changes and delays meant it took 3 hours! There always seems to be delays at weekends as they work on the lines.

Gosh these shows seem to be getting older all the time. Cheap tv I guess to keep reshowing them but rather annoying for the viewer.

My other son is going down with the cold now.

I am hoping it doesn't last long, as he avoided the last bad one me and MrM caught off other son.

What a gorgeous sunny day today, think everyone in UK got it today. Sat in garden, dried tons of washing nicely. Hope we get more of this weather.

Have a good evening both x

Evening Mollie & Baz.

the bread was lovely, it probably wont stay fresh long as it hasnt got all the stuff they put in to keep it so, but as its so easy to make its not really a problem.

I have a vid call tomorrow at 1pm, if they remember, yes, hope the fillings Monday sort the problem.

Hope your son doesnt get the cold too bad, he might pass it nack do be aware of that.

I have the darts tonight, night 11 of 17, tonight from Rotterdam, Sky Sports action channel 426.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Overcast , cold , and drizzly here today ….so no walk for me ! So I’ve spent the morning catching up on housework; duvet shuffle, two loads of washing , cleaned bathroom, dusted , had some steak for lunch ….and that’s the sun total of my exciting day . I hope you’re all enjoying your Friday .

Mollie , I hope both your sons are a bit better today …and that you haven’t caught it again .The weather has definitely turned here today ….and it’s not looking very good for the next week ! As always , I’ve enjoyed teatime club this week .Will be interesting to see if our grrrrrr figure comes last !Hicky , glad your bread was yummy .I’ve not had any notification for my Spring booster yet . I wish they would hurry up because I’m considering going back to my spa ….if I can pluck up courage .But I’ve taken a big step this week , and gone into our local shops without a mask , for the first time in three years …so go me .

Well it’s Masterchef , Pilgrimage and Gogglebox for me tonight …so that’s my viewing sorted lHave a good evening both , and take care .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Not done a lot todat, was supposed to have a vid call at 1pm with a brother in Spain, we had an audio call a bit later, put the washing machine on, then the dryer, my some & gf came at 4:30 so we all went out fopr the meal, a massive manu but i just had a starter of Prawn Cocktail, which i love, and Chicken Tika Masala, very nice.

Have ordered a taxi for the Booster jab tomorrow and one for the Dentist Monday.

Pity weather was not good enough for walkies, another day will have to do, Steak for lunch, nice one, i had some bacon on 2 rounds of my bread which i had toasted, i had planned to put some tomato on but forgot, it was in bed that i thought of it.

My lad said my water drink bottle needs to be thrown out as its mouldy, i keep a 500ml bottle which i refill by the kitchen tap, he said i need to dump it once a week, so i will order a 24 case of still water to have in.

Hope Mollie & sons are getting over their colds etc.

hope you got your walk in this morning.

It is sunny here so far, but the forecast not so good later, so will rush to get the washing out before the showers arrive.

What an interesting week tea time club was. Shame our gggrrr figure didn't come last, but it was only by default she didn't, as the guy who turned the money away felt insulted. (not that she would admit it though!).

Good idea to think about returning to your spa, especially as we go into the better weather time. And glad you felt comfy enough to ditch the mask.  I don't wear a mask, but do avoid busy areas when I go to the supermarket. But I have always tried to do that anyway.

Hicky

that is good you got an audio call from your brother. I know you said it was going to be a video call, was he unable to work out how to do a video call? How is he? I expect it is a lot warmer there than her now.

How nice you got out for a meal with your son and gf for a meal. A treat to have 2 courses too.

Yes your son is quite right about water bottles. I saw something on tv about how they carry germs after a few uses and its hard to clean them. The bottled waters in bulk are so cheap too. Do you order them off the Costco site? We buy ours when we go to Costco.

Hope you are ok after the booster tomorrow and hope the dentist goes ok too on Monday,

Do you watch Jame Martin on Saturday mornings on itv Hicky? I find him a really good chef and think you would like his cooking ideas. He always uses the best butter/cream to do his cooking.

Son says he feels a bit better today, so hopefully that cold is on the way out now! And as its downhill to summer, I hope for the best to get rid of these germs now.

Time to do a few house jobs, then watch Dress to Impress.

Am going to pick a toy for the puppy, as it is good for them to put something in with their mother to take the mum's smell on it before they leave her. My friend has 4 kids all still living at home, so they are all handling the pups to make them get used to people.

Have a good day both xxx

Evening Mollie & Baz.

My brother in Spain has a memory problem! so his partner does it all, can only think it was not a vid call as they were using the mobile and hate to think were the camera would be facing, he was walking around the apartment, he was wxplaining the size of all the rooms, not sure why mind, and what he could see out of the windows, think he's on the 2nd floor level, but no lifts.

I get the bottles water from Iceland, 24 bottles x 500ml Β£3.75, 2 for Β£7.

Yes, never miss James Martin /saturday, he teaches you so much, and Sunday its Sunday Brunch, love that too.

My new Air Fryer comes tomorrow, the single basket of dual seems a good idear.

Yes, hope all the families infections/colds are on the way out for the spring.

Hope Baz had a good Saturday and got a walk in, i have done my 1,000 steps in, i usually do that at least, got 10 hrs 8 mins sleep in last night.

Hicky

afternoon Mollie and Hicky πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°It’s rained on and off all day here ….so no walk for me today ! Therefore , it’s been a lazy day chez Baz .🀣🀣All I’ve done is clean kitchen , bathroom, hoovering , and small load of washing . I had some nice steak for lunch , and now I’m parked on the sofa catching up on some of my tv recordings .🀣🀣I hope everyone else is having a nice , relaxing Sunday .😁 I forgot to say , the biggest bumble bee I’ve ever seen flew in through the bathroom window this morning .😱😱😱Honestly , it was massive .😱😱Luckily I was able to use the spider catcher and put it outside again .🀣🀣

Mollie , I hope you and the boys are feeling a bit better today .πŸ€— Yes , she only came third by default ….horrible woman !😑🀣Wonder what teatime club will bring this week .🀣Think the Strangers on a Plane is in Italy this week …so don’t forget to pack your sun tan cream .🀣πŸ₯°Hicky , I hope your air fryer arrived ok today , and that the jab goes ok tomorrow .πŸ€—Nice that you had a video call from your brother . Are you going to watch I’m a Celeb South Africa ? πŸ₯°

Well not sure what I’m viewing tonight , but sure I’ll find something .🀣Have a good evening both .πŸ₯°

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

I didnt have rain today, not a bad day here, pity you didnt get a walk Baz, i wonder where the bumble bees go for the winter, one pops into my manshed now and again if i go in and leave the door open, not sure what they are looking for in na shed.

Been chatting online to Mollie so she knows i went to the dentist for 2 fillings, not sure if it will sort my strange teeth problem when in bed and lying on my right side or not, but didnt want to get the tooth out as its very much needed, think these 2 are the only rear chewing ones left, next appointment October, but if i have a problem i can always ring.

Have got an Iceland delivery tomorrow, finished my French loaf off tonight, the French flour is supposed to come Thursday, so might wait as i have lots of bread and rolls in the freezer.

My little tub of Chili plants in the kitchen are coming along, when big enough to handle i will take out and plant in 9cm pots untill they are big enough to plant outside in the greenhouse or raised beds, i have 10 plants growing, if they do well they could give a lot of chilies.

nice to have a relaxing Sunday now and again. Hope the rain stopped today, so you got a walk in. It was pouring here this morning but dried up later.

That is strange, as son too had a massive bumble bee fly in his room a few days ago too and he too put it out with the spider catcher. They must be restless for some reason.

How nice we are in Sardinia this week. It looks like the sunburn guy from 4 In a Bed has just come back from there. (minus his suncream though). Looks like it will be an interesting week though.

Not sure if I fancy IAC, as am getting a bit bored of it, but might just give it a go to see if I like it.

Hicky

that is a good price for the waters from Iceland, and nice and easy as you get them delivered.

I too watch James Martin and Sunday brunch. Have got some handy cooking tips off both shows.

That is a shame your brother has memory problems. Being on the 2nd floor with no lifts must be difficult now he is older.

Hope you are pleased with your new air fryer.

And hope your teeth behave now.

We went to see the puppies today. They have started wondering around now. Mummy dog watched them closely though.

Goodnight both xxx
