Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Sunny and not to cold today ….so , even though I had a rough night, I went for a walk first thing . I managed just over 2k again , so not too shabby . Apart from that I’ve cleaned kitchen and bathroom , hoovered , fed birds , and done a large load of washing . I had a pork steak for lunch , and once the dustmen have been that’s me done for the day .It was lovely seeing all the Spring bulbs flowering ….and there was even some blossoms on my walk …..I think they must be Hawthorne trees . But I think we’ve got snow forecast on Thursday , go figure .

Mollie , teatime club looks like it’s going to be fun this week.I hope your day is going well …and that it’s sunny down there too.Hicky , my husband used to like those Mr Kipling pies too .I was more of an iced fancied gal.Hope you’ve found the tablet …I’ve done that before, and like you say , I hate it if I can’t find it !

Sorry to hear you had a rough night, but you still got  walk in, it was pretty cold here today, only went to thewheelie bin an to unbolt the big gate so the wheelie can go out tomorrow.

I put the rest of the chicken curry i made into plastic containers for freezing, got 4 portions, the 5 chicken thighs were on the bone and fairly big.

Had a Spag Carbonara for tea, tasty with some grated parmisan cheese, had a lovely bacon and egg roll for brekkie.

I got one of the cleaners to peel the onions for the Punjabi curry, its a risk for me with my eyes, i then chopped them using the chipper machine, cooked them, added the tomatoes cooked them then put them into the blender.

Expecting a vid call from Spain in the morning, my younger brother lives there with his Mrs.

You are certainly managing to think of plenty of nice varied menus. We went to Iceland to stock up today. We like the Cathedral City cheese variety of frozen stuff. Delicious. Iceland told us they have some sort of bonus card app. Do you have that? MrM is going to try and sort it out. I think you get special discounts and cash back on it. I see you got some nice treats from Iceland. I love those Toblerones. I found a caramel one in Asda last week. Yummy.

Good idea to get the cleaner to peel the onions, you can't risk them affecting your eyes becasue of your problems.

Hope you are remembering to drink plenty, as from what the doc said, it sounds hopefull that you should be able to get rid of the broken bits now.

Not a bad day here today. Very cold in the morning, but the sun was warm later, so I sat in garden for awhile. Then went to Iceland and Asda.

Went a walk on the cliffs the other day, where all the sheep are. We like to go whilst the lambs are so tiny.

My washing dried nicely today.

Yes Baz, I did hear some areas are predicting snow. They don't seem sure if we will here or not.

Had a vid call with my Brother in Spain, they are fine, he is taking meds for arthritis which was restricting his getting around.

Havent done much today, got 2 messages from the Docs surgery, got to go for bloods on the 22nd but at the surgery foen the road as mine hasnt got the nurse, strange, also have to take a water sample in, but have to go to the surgery to get the sample bottle.

Waiting for my meds that i ordered on the MyGp app sunday night, rang the pharmacy, they only got the prescription today, strange, they will deliver tomorrow.

Its very cold out here, around freezing, well 1 deg.

Hope Baz is resting that leg in this weather.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky We had flurries of snow this morning , but it didn’t really settle , and now it’s just drizzly ! I didn’t have a good night , but wasn’t intending doing much today anyway. I went for another short walk yesterday cos I knew the weather was going to be bad for next few days . So it’s been a very lazy day chez Baz …I’ve .just done some washing, cleaned the kitchen , and between snow flurries I went out emptied the bin ..it’s bliddy chilly out there .I hope everyone else is staying warm and dry .

We too had a cold day yesterday, but today the sun came out, so I was able to sit for ages out in the garden again. Hooray. And my washing dried nicely too.

Went for brekkie in the roadside cafe this morning. It gets so busy with local workmen and lorry drivers, which is great for the cafe. (and great for the hungry workmen too, as they give huge portions for a good price.)

Yesterday was my friend's birthday, so I treated her and her hubby to a donut from our great donut shop. They do lots of types of flavours. I also had a white choccy hot chocolate.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  It was quite sunny this morning , but it’s overcast and very cold now . I had a so so night , but went for a 2k walk first thing ….2k seems to be as far as my ankle can take at the moment , before it starts really complaining!Apart from that I’ve done a load of washing , some general tidying , and antbacd the m&s delivery . My meds turned up yesterday so happy about that, it was one of the meds which they had to wait for, the weather wouldnt help either.

At least you got out for a walk Baz, pity you cant get better sleep, this morning my watch had a message on it, it said, Glad you managed to get to bed at the right time, twice i've seen that message now.

Rain today which makes it even more miserable, my No.#3 son came over, he popped in with GF to bring me a loaf as he was going to a shop on the way over from Liverpool, he gave me some feta cheese and some garlic pieces in something, they are ging on holiday on the 17th for a week. i made a feta sandwich with the new bread, i put some salt n pepper chicken wings in the air fryer, so tasty.

It's raining here too now, but at least it was dry in the day, so I got some time sitting out in the garden and we went a walk down seafront. My ankle was aching today, so didn't walk too far, but enjoyed sitting on a bench facing the waves, watching the families and doggies on the beach.

Watch recorded 9hrs 37mins sleep, thats not bad really for me, i have been trying to get to bed by 11:30pm where i can.

Glad you could get out down to the seafront, the seafront here has been baracaded in by a new sea wall protection, never seen anything like it, at west Kirby, to protect all the houses over the road on the seafront, but the flood protection is on the seawall pavement which stops you seeing the sea, there is a massive boating area with a low seawall around it but that doesnt stop the waves and storms of course.

I'm just watching the usual tv programs of recordings, i have had to make a chart of the programs and write the series number and the rpisode number down as i keent keep up with which i have seen or not, and too make life hard each stn runs the same programs but a different series, so i have about 10 shows, each with multiple different series, it's near impossible to keep up.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Horrible weather here ….wet and really windy …..plus I had a very bad night …therefore no walk for me today . So I’ve hunkered down , hoovered, washed , cleaned the kitchen , got the bin ready to go out for collection tomorrow  , fed birds , and anti bacd the shopping . I had a nice pork chop for lunch, and that’s me done for the day .I hope everyone else is having a nice Monday .

Aaaww sorry you had a bad night and no walk today. Hope tonight is better for you.

I tend to have to go and lie in bed just after 10, as my arthritis always plays up at night, but I don't turn my light off till 12 usually. Read my phone, book or magazine. And then I tend to wake about 4am for awhile before dropping off again. So I know how annoying it is when you can't sleep.

I enjoyed tea time club, looks like being a good week again.

Hope you find something else nice to watch tonight. I am watching the drama "Unforgotten". It is really good, I enjoyed the last series of it too.

That is a real long sleep, so is very good for you.

That is a shame they had to build such a big seawall and it stops the views of the sea. Luckily the seawall here is below pavement level. I bet your boating area is very pretty. We also have a harbour and it is full of some dead posh boats. Alright for some!

Good idea to note what you have watched. Nothing more annoying than tuning in to see something, and then you realise after awhile you have already seen it.

Not a bad day today, Very windy but managed to nearly dry the washing before a shower came and sat in the garden awhile. Still need my coat on though.

We went to local farm to collect fresh milk, It is not like supermarket milk as its safely pasteurised, but not homogonised, nor put in plastic containers. Its delicious and you even get cream settling on top of it. Its called zero miles as it has not travelled at all.

Very mild today, the car showed 15c! But it is due to get a lot colder soon.

Rain here today so stayed in, ordered more stuff from Iceland, comes tomorrow, just some bits i could do with.

Sprry you didnt sleep too good Baz, it knocks you for six really as you body didnt get the rest it craves.

I dont sleep during the day as i have no idea how long i would sleep 4 and it certainly would effect my night sleep.

I'll look into that program on Sunday, will probably record it though as then i am in control of the program and not the stn.

How can it compete with BB when that is in the autumn.

It seems a long time since i had cream on top of the milk, i buy whole milk though as the other stuff seems like watered down milk to me.

I slept better last night , so I did go for a walk , and to the local shop , mid morning , and got a few extra steps in . Went to the surgery to pick up a form for the bloods, to take on the 22nd to the other surgery, also had to leave a wee sample, got a taxi there and he waited for me and brought me back.

My Amazon delivery of toilet rolls came via a courier the one that superceded Hermes.

I am pretty well stocked now for foods etc, i stock up with most items as i dont like to run out of anything.

Had a bacon and egg on toast for brekkie, for tea i will have a battered giant sausage, home made chips, mushy peas and curry sauce, all from Iceland.

Got 10hrs 19mins sleep last night, went to bed early as i was bored with the tv, got tons of recordings but didnt want to go into those.

I told my lad about getting up in the night to put the washing machine on eyc, he said i'm mad as its costs the same anyway because i dont have a special meter that changes over to the night rate, so no more of that.

M&S food is so good but i'd have to get a taxi to one and it takes so long for me to read the labels etc if i'm on my own.

Oh yes I did hear that it was very few people that get overnight cheap electricity, but as usual they made it sound a better deal than it actually is. At least it won't disturb your sleep now.

I have noticed my Amazon using different couriers. Has Hermes closed down now ? My Amazon parcels have been coming with Royal Mail now. But it has been arriving quickly.

Yes my family all have whole milk, I read that semi milk was promoted as being "healthier" even though full cream only has 4% fat, purely as a money making con, because they can use the best part of the milk for something else and give customers watered down milk, posing as being the more healthy option!

Today we went to the roadside cafe for brekkie. Lots of lorry drivers there. The brekkies are enormous for the price, so no wonder they are so busy.

We did think of going out for Mothers Day meal but then saw all places were charging for 2-3 course meals that day, and it was a minimum of £25 each!

So we went for  a roast at the carvary yesterday instead, with a 25% off voucher and it cost us £7.50 each for help yourself.

Very mild today (15c), so sat in garden awhile until the showers started.

Was going to watch Gogglebox Baz, but realised there is a new thriller starting on itv, so will go for that and record Gogglebox as we can't get that flippen new itvx , so no catch up on itv at all is available to us, so we would miss out on the thriller alltogether. You can only get itvx catch up on relatively new tv's , and ours isn't newish at all!

Not done much today, ordered a George Foreman grill, that comes tomorrow, am going to try it with Toasties and frying/grilling.

Yes, getting to bed earlier when i can, but thursday has darts till 11:30 so hard to go early.

Made a nice bacon roll for brekkie, and had some mash and gravy for tea with a large battered sausage, tasty, got tons of mash so need to use some up.

I think Hermes changed to Evri, think its just a name change though.

When i used to put semi skimmed milk into my tea it didnt colour very well, so now i just buy whole milk, although, in my drinks i have coffee mate as it doesnt cool the drink.

Got F1 today and all weekend so happy about that.

Been trying the new G.F grill, i tried it with 2 rounds of bread and covered with cheese and onion but some of the cheese oosed out from the bread, so found a way of stopping that, well, this morning i made a bacon and egg toastie, did the bacon in the air fryer as its so quick, for the 3 rounds of bread i cut the centre from one round which became the middle piece of the toastie, leaving about 1 cm at all edges i put it on top of the bottom round on the grill plate, buttered on all edges and all over on the bottom round, poured the egg into the middle then added the 3 rashers of streaky smoked cooked bacon, then added the buttered top round and closed the top lind, turned on for 5 minutes, sorted, no problem, will try that idea with cheese and onion, or other filling, with having the middle support it doesnt tend to press the filling out, so that should be ok now.

I drink a lot, probably too much as i'm not supposed to drink too much with my water retention, but not seen any pieces of kidney stones, just some minute bits floating around, not even sure if they are from the kidney.

I cant plan any trips anywhere while i am under the Urology team, still hoping for a letter from them so i can go for a scan etc to see how things are.

Watched the F1, not the result i wanted.

I am recording Rise and fall as i dont want to miss it, its on every night for 4 weeks so it should be interesting, at 10pm from tomorrow though.

My wheelies go out ~Wednesday, recycling this week, will empty my 2 recycle bins inside into the wheelie bin tomorrow, neighbour puts the wheelie bins out for me.

Not done much today, cooking meals, tried the new grill with a 3 round toastie with the centre cut out of the middle round and filled with cooked bacon, cheese and onion, very successful anyway so pleased about that.

Havent had any letter or appointment from Urology in the last 2 weeks so disappointed about that, it just prolongs my problem.

I'll let the new program recordings mount up then when i have a boring day i can watch some of them on the trot.

Another week for tea time club and I think it is getting harder to work the gameplayers out on 4 In a Bed. We don't seem to be getting so many though, so maybe they realise gameplaying does not look good for their businesses?  Glad to say, CDWM looks as bonkers as ever, and at least you can join in by burning your candles and wearing your floral headress.

I got a Mothers Day card off my lads (as lads they are hopeless with cards). But  I did cheat a bit......

MrM gave me a pretty Mothers Day picture on a piece of card, so I shoved it in front of my oldest and asked him to sign it, then gave it the other one to sign as well. Then took it back to him later to add kisses to it. He didnt' seem to know what he was doing as he has never sent a card in his life.

Yes, a pain really as i love drinking, orange juice, tea, coffee, Fanta, Water, Milk, i usually drink continuously.

Still no word from Urology, could do with getting stones sorted.

Yes, sandwich maker will be fine now, will be able to do so much on that, think i will ask my lad to give me a hand with the watering system, but we have had and got so much rain in the forecast it is hard to plan anything.

Got to get a taxi in the morning to get to the surgery for my bloods, its not very far away but i had better get a taxi, might be able to walk home, it depends ho i feel.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Quite a good Have day here at chez Baz . It’s sunny , if breezy , so I went for a short walk at lunchtime . I had to get up early cos I was expecting BG from 8 onwards …..they were coming to fix the light in the downstairs loo . It’s not been working for best part of a year .I’d finally got around to ringing an electrician , when it suddenly occurred to me that it might be covered under my BG insurance , and voila , it was .Anyway , the lovely electrician put in a new unit …so it’s now a case of  let there be light . Apart from that I’ve not done a lot , just  some washing and fed the birds.  I hope everyone else is having a nice Wednesday , whatever you are up to .

Bloods went ok, got taxi there and he waited for me to bring me home £10 for the fare, might have been able to walk, might have tried if it was summer.

Got 3 letters today, one telling me the price rise for council tax, one telling me an appointment for a CT scan, i got it changed as it was down for 7pm at night, now its on the 2nd Apr at 1:45pm, the other letter was from HMRC telling me i have to pay the money i owed from 2020/21 by June, they are a night mare to contact, it takes about 45 mins to get through, then they couldnt get through to accounts so said they would ring me back, they did ring, it seems that they have had to send out letters that they should have sent in 2021 but did it online, so they have sent them out, problem is they have put 2023 for the payment when it should have said 2021, what a mess, i had paid what i owed for that year.

I've got darts to watch tonight, had beans on toast for brekkie, going to have salt n pepper chicken wings for tea.

I have had a cold the last few days, feeling a bit better today. Its not a bad cold, but is tiring. Had to go to bed about 7pm last night.  So haven't been out this week.

Did manage a short sit in the garden before the showers arrived today.

Yes, didnt realise they did CT scans that late, it must be to try and catch up with the backlog, yes its so they can see how my kidney stones are.

HMRC are so hard to get hold of, it might have just been a mistyping on the form but what a massive problem it can cause, i asked the agent if she could send a letter to say its ok and i dont need to pay, she said she cant, i imagine shes at home working, she said it was bwcause of some new legistration that came out which said they had to post any demand not do it online so they had to post it for 2020/21, just a pity they made an error with the date.

I use the microwave beans, the 4 pack that you break up, just the right size for me.

Oh dear, you can do without getting a cold, i try to never get wet as i always get a cold if i get caught in the rain, even for a few minutes, dont know why, but its always been like that.

Your immume system might be a bit weak that would leave you vulnerable.

Had some Cajun chicken wings for tea, just added the Cajun spice to them, so tasty.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Sunshine and showers again today , but I managed to dodge the rain and walked to the postbox .A so so night , but I’ve changed all the bedding , done three loads of washing , hoovered and fed the birds , so a more productive day for Baz .I hope everyone else is enjoying their Friday .

Mollie , sorry to hear about your cold ….I hope it clears up soon .I’ve enjoyed GBM …although some of the regions chefs haven’t been exactly sparkling .I’m looking forward to FIAB payment day tonight ….it will be interesting to see who the game players are .And I can’t imagine that the guy cooking on cdwm today stands a hole in hell of winning .Hicky , glad you managed to get your scan moved to a more reasonable time ….but I do know they also do late scans at my hospital too….or they used to .I’m glad you finally managed to sort the HMRC out …but it sounds like a total pain !

Not done much today, watered the greenhouse tubs with the raspberry canes in, checked the voltages for the watering timer/computers, havent se them up yet baut can do now, i can always leave them switched off, they would retain all the setting, i also set them to the correct time, the watering system needs sorting out before i can fit them, 1 is a master, the other 3 i am using are for the greenhouse, raised beds and plant tubs, but so much work to be done will ask my local sun when he's back from hols tomorrow if he has any spare time, its too much for me on my own, best with someone that can see.

Made a rather nice toastie for tea, 2 rounds with a layer of cheese and a layer of sliced green chillies, wow, that was rather good, did it in the George Foreman grill.

Glad you slept better i had 10 hrs 13 mins last night, didnt get up till 10am.

I try not to go out in the dark as i cant see much in the light and the dark is awful, cant see anything really, it would be ok in the summer but not yet.

The clocks change this weekend, so late saturday i will have to go round some to change, forward 1 hr, better than having to put them back.

I'm using the Ring camera's as CCTV now so any person detected is recorded and will sound my chimes, the chimes are in different rooms so i can set the front camera and rear camera to chime the lounge one and the front doorbell camera chimes the hall chime if a person is detected, i have changed the zones so they cover the road etc now, i want to know who is around, It will aid the security for all those who live in the area, i know another neighbour has CCTV as well.

A nice sunny, but blustery day, so we went to seafront for a walk and called into a little local cafe. The boys had toasties and I had home made rhubarb crumble and custard, as I love rhubarb.

My washing dried nicely in the wind.

My cold is improving but nose is awfully blocked first thing, so bad it gave me a headache this morning.

But Baz, your idea of a Vix sinex certainly helps ease things for me.

Going to watch Ant and Dec now.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  I didn’t sleep very well last night ….so a very lazy day here …..all I’ve done is a load of washing , cleaned kitchen ….but I did go for a 2k walk , so not a totally wasted day . I hope everyone else is having an equally lazy Sunday .

Mollie , glad you liked my pressie ….once I saw it , it it had to be done . I’m glad you had a nice birthday …..and I’ve really enjoyed brunch time club.I hate the weekends these days , but it’s really helped to break it up , so thank you .Hicky, I wish I could sleep as well as you .I’d have thought about getting one of those Ring doorbells ….are they very expensive ?

I have removed my Coffee pod machine as i'm not buying more pods, cheaper to buy coffee and prefer coffee mate with the coffee, also going to get rid of the Salamanda grill as now i have the George Forman one and the air fryer.

My lad is back from his holiday but cant come yet as he is working and every day it seems to say rain here.

Made another Iceland order out, that comes tomorrow.

Did you know UV light kills germs and viruses, you can buy a UV wand, most NHS stuff is disinfected with UV light, i remember my neighbour at the old house had a pump that pumped all his pond water through a device with a UV light which kept the pond clean.

Yes, they say put the Vicks Sinex pn your chest at night, it helps your breathing.

I certainly would advise getting a Ring Doorbell, there are different models so the price vaaries with the model, mine is powered and came with the plug and power adapter, i also have 2 indoor ring camera's, but they point outside through the window, they are powered as well, i pay a subscription yearly for them as that allows them all to have the recordings saved.

I paid £219 for the doorbell Pro 2 and 1 chime unit, i paid £79.98 for 2 indoor powered camera's then i bought another chime.

I have them set up now as CCTV so any person motion in the camer's range is recorded, you can set the length of recording 50, 60, 90 or 120 seconds, they will be like Dash Cams in the end, everyone should have one, it should be the law that all cars on the road have Dash cams front and rear, like all the police should have body cams and they all should have tasers on them, so should all houses have CCTV these days, it will take a while but it will happen, just like the uk has millions of camera's in the roads.

But no walk , cos it’s rained all day here ….but I managed to rescue the bins without getting wet .Aside from that I’ve not done much at all , just some dusting, washing ,  and cleaned the bathroom .  I did have a nice pork chop for lunch and now I’m slobbed out on the sofa .I hope everyone else is having an equally lazy Tuesday .

My lad gave me a hand wih the doorbell as i had to drill through the plastic door frame, there are narrow windows each side of the door, but with my eyes, anyway, the wire had to go through, i have sockets in the porch so it could be plugged in, he also helped with setting it up, it has to be connected to your WIfi to communicate, and it connects to your mobile as that controls the settings of course.

I had some hot cross buns delivered with my icealand order, so nice, had 2 earlier, but i'll have more toasted.

Not a lot done today, just put the battery holder into the 4 timer units i will be using for the watering system, and set all the times etc up on them all, it all helps, i have turned them all to off so the batteries arent operating the water solenoid.

I noticed this morning that the gas icon on my smartmeter display was missing and when i asked the display for the gas meter reading it was blank, had a chat after a while on the web to british gas and they said they are hoping to get the problem sorted before too long, it sounds as though an update has got bugs in it, i thought it updated a week ago, so will have to see.

Did a pack of Iceland salt n pepper belly pork slices in the George Foreman grill, wow, fantastic, and after that i did some hot cross buns in it, so yummy.

I have the Podietrist here tomorrow then Darts at night, and F1 Friday and the weekend, so all good, also got the CT scan Sunday.

So a lazy day all round …..all I’ve done is some washing and hoovering . I hope everyone else is having a more productive day than me .

Pity you didnt have a good night Baz, or a walk, i got over 7 hours as i was late to bed, watching tv, got darts tonight from 7pm and F2 from tomorrow.

Not too bad here warm anyway, the gas icon has come back onto the smartmeter display so am glad about that.

I saw the man was reading the water meters on the pavement, not used much water mind, i only boil what i need.

Have ordered another George Foreman grill, was talking to the podietrist and she mentioned them and said she changed hers for a removable control so the sections can be washed so i have ordered one.

I have been finding it hard to clean, my eyes dont help either but if i can put the pieces in the sink and add some washing up liquid it should clean up ok, it can go in the dish washer as well.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  A better day weather wise ….and chez Baz wise .I didn’t have a bad night , so I went for a walk this morning . I did just over 2k , and more importantly I did it at the pace and step length I was doing before my latest trip down the stairs….so go me . Aside from that , I’ve fed the wildlife , done a load of washing , emptied the bins , and anti bacd the M&S delivery . I had some yummy M&S poached salmon for lunch and that’s me done for today . I hope everyone else is having a good Saturday .

Hicky , Mollie says to let you know that she has a really bad cold , so isn’t up to posting at the moment .I’m sorry your eyesight is making things a bit difficult for you , but I hope the new grill is a help . My smart meters played up a bit when it was first installed ,I had to ring the energy company , and they put them right remotely 👍🏻
