So glad you are feeling better and even managing your long walk again.

My eye is much improved at last.

I am enjoying tea time club again this week.

You do have a lot of viewing planned tonight, hope you enjoy.

Not sure what I am watching yet, but don't seem to have much free time to view tv lately.

And not interested in IAC this year, with that awful mix of Matt Hancock, Boy George and that Loose Woman.

But I am going to try and fit in the Welsh Gogglebox tonight. Its good and like the English one, but I have to use the subtitles, (MrM doesn't though). He says the South Wales Welsh is different to the North Wales Welsh, and sometimes they speak what we call WEnglish. (a mix of both).

Went for brekkie with my friend, her toddler grandson (who loves jumping in puddles in his wellies) and my other friend and her 11 year old son. We all enjoy the food at the Harvester.

Hope HIcky is carrying on enjoying his food over there.

Time to sort the washing out. Its never ending.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky Wet and miserable today , so no walk . But I didn’t have a bad night, and the bin men finally arrived , so not a bad day . I’ve not done much today , just some hoovering , cleaned kitchen , and  washing . I had a nice piece of steak for lunch , and that’s the sum of my exciting Thursday  .I hope everyone else is having more interesting day .

Mollie , we’ve spoken , but I hope you are having a lovely time at the theatre this afternoon ….and that you enjoyed your Welsh Gogglebox .Hicky , I hope your mozzie bites aren’t spoiling your holiday ….I know how annoying they can be though .

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  What a bliddy day ! Firstly,  I had a really terrible night , then the bliddy cashpoint tried to eat my card !I managed to retrieve it, but it meant I then had to walk even further to a shop I knew did cash back !  But on the plus side, the weather was sunny first thing ( although it’s clouded over now ) , and I saw a Cyril having his brekkie in my walk ,Aside from that , I’ve done the duvet shuffle , two loads of washing , hoovered , and dusted . I’m just about to have lamb chops for lunch , and that’s me done for the day .I hope everyone else is having a good Sunday , whatever you are up to .

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Not a bad night for me , so , despite it being overcast and damp , I went for a 3k walk first thing . Mind you , parts of my usual route are still under water .Glad no one could see me hitching the bottom of my jeans up and wading through .Aside from that , I’ve done two loads of washing , rescued the bins , fed the wildlife , antibacd the delivery , and cleaned the kitchen…..so a more productive day than yesterday .I hope everyone else is enjoying their Tuesday .

And sorry you had such a bag night. That is horrible when those damn machines try to eat your card. It happened to me on a couple of times and it is such hastle to get it back. Good job you managed to retrive it though.

we had very heavy rain yesterday, but it was dry and sunny today, so doesn't appear to be any flooding locally.

My washing nearly dried on the line today, which is good.

Then went to Iceland after, so was glad to enjoy our tea time slot for a nice rest after.

CDWM are a real odd bunch this week.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  It’s throwing it down here …and black as hell!  But I did manage a 3k walk before the heavens opened .Aside from that I’ve done a load of washing , cleaned kitchen and bathroom ,  emptied the bin (before it started raining ), had some nice lamb chops for lunch , and that’s my exciting day done .

Mollie , no problem I think your bad weather has finally arrived up here !I hope it’s a bit better down there today though . …I’ll see you for teatime club , and I’ll bring Dames card .Hicky , I hope you are enjoying the last few days of  your holiday….and that those awful bites are a bit better .

oh dear, what a shame I sent that awful weather up to you. The hail, thunder and lightening was real bad yesterday, and was on and off for hours. Luckily we didn't lose internet connection though.

Good job you managed to fit your walk in around the weather though.

We managed a trip out for brekkie, then the pet shop before the heavens opened. Can't have the pets doing without.

Good job you never forget Dame's card for tea time club, so we are alway prepared to book anywhere we fancy then.

It’s an overcast day here , but I did go for a walk this morning …posted my granddaughters birthday card , got a couple of Xmas vouchers , ordered some presents , dusted , washed , and had some lamb chops for lunch ….so quite a productive Sunday chez Baz .I hope everyone else is having a good day too .

Home again, flight ok and security was fine this time as i was prepared and had all liquids etc in one small plastic bag to go in the tray.

It was hard going in the heat and humidity but wouldnt have missed the opportunity for the world, my lad and fam where at the airport anyway as they were flying to the Philippines stopping at various places on the way, i was flying from gate 12 and they were at gate 11,

Hope my blister is ok, the dressing vcame off with putting warmer shoes on at home, will see if i can get some sleep tonight.

Been playing chess with No.#5 son while away, have ordered a ConShef 2L air fryer as well.

Got rather a lot of recordings to catch up on, the whole of IAC has recorded abyway, plus loads of other programs.

We went earlyish to Lidl for a bit of shopping, so we could beat the rush, then went to the roadside cafe for brekkie. Always cheap, but nice and hot and good quality food.

Then helped son with a job application. They all seem to be so complicated when you have to complete them online.

Not sure what to watch tonight, as there is certainly a lot of football around lately!

They are going to the Philipines to see if there is a suitable island that has the facilitilies etc to build/buy a house to settle down, some of the islands have the right weather, but they need the food siruation, schoolng, beaches, land / garden and other things, they have a property on one of the islands as well as 3 or 4 still in Australia.

Heart nurse came today, gave me a prescription for another tablet, also got an email, have a call from a heart consultant in Jan.

My lad should be able to take me to the farm on sunday, have to take a prescription to the chemist as well, also, the Ring doorbell has gone off line so have to reconnect that tomorrow.

I slept 12 hours last night, early to bed mind, got loads of food in anyway, so wont starve,  saw the first show of IAC, recorded the lot.

I showed the nurse the blister, the soremess has gone, she said it looked ok, but monitor it.

I ordered an air fryer and a coffee maker, love gadgets.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Very dank day here , but I slept a bit better so I went for a three and a half k walk this morning …just to make up for my laziness yesterday ! Aside from that , I’ve hoovered upstairs and down , done a load of washing , and cleaned kitchen . Have caught up on some sleep, but son whi is now in Manila finds he is 12 hours out of sync with Barbados as it's Friday morning where he is 12 hours ahead, 8 hrs ahead of me here so he's having jetlag problems.

Not sure where we will meet up again, a long way to the Philipines for me and a cost of about £3.5k Business class, but we might be able to meet up somewhere nearer.

Had my first drinks from the new coffee maker, and tried the new air fryer with Scampy, no problem.

Glad you slept a bit better, i have put my Autumn duvet on as the summer one wasnt warm enough.

Got a call from the doc, another blood test in the morning.

Hope Mollie had a good day and helped sort the lads stuff out.

hope you are pleased with your new kitchen gadgets. We have an air fryer and use it all the time, its so quick to cook stuff compared to a normal oven.

Glad the nurse thinks the blister is ok now. Hope the blood test goes ok tomorrow. Wonder if you will call into the cafe after?

Not surprised you slept for 12 hours, you must have been exhausted after travelling back all night.

Gosh yes you need your warm quilt now, it only reached the dizzy heights of plus 4 here today! There was a lingering fog in some areas, but at least it was dry.

I had quite a lot of Christmas shopping to do in town today and then we went to see a light dispay in the park. Did too much really as the arthritis in my feet was real bad and I had to keep sitting down. (which is why we were so late getting back). Still at least I did manage to get what I needed for my aunt. The Christmas market little huts were so pretty. The food in those places is so expensive though, it was £6 just for a basic hot dog or a crepe. So we went to Gregs, where we fed 3 of us for around £8.

And as it is December 1st, it was the 1st day of my choc advent calendar, so here is a day 1 Christmas advent picture. I got a popcorn choc today, and very nice it was too.

We bought a new fake Christmas tree, as this year I couldn't be bothered with a real one, they are so messy and hard to get rid of. We haven't put anything on it yet, need to buy some lights as last years, half of them aren't working! Typical!

I didnt go to the cafe after the docs as with hopefully going to the farm Saturday i will wait to see what i will need from Morrisons Sunday.

Did fish and chips in the air fryer, only oven chips, did some bacon this morning as well.

My lad was wide awake in the Philipines at 2:30am also the little ones were on their tablets, jetlag playing heck with them.

I can make a carage of coffee with the new coffee maker, just got to find the right amount of coffee grounds to put in, what it says 12 cups, not sure what size cups they mean, i use mugs so will have to do a size test tomorrow.

Wish the darn new doorbell would come, i've put the lounge camera looking out from the side window by the front door for now.

Hope Baz had a good day, i got 7hrs 46mins sleep last night, not too bad, got a new batch of meds today so ok for another month.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Sunny this morning ….although very chilly ….but I wrapped up warm and went for a walk first thing . …blew a few cobwebs away Apart from that I’ve not really done a lot , just some washing , but I have put my Xmas tree up ….so not a totally wasted day .Tomorrow I’m planning to start writing my Xmas cards , and sorting out the last couple of presents . Mollie , glad you managed to do quite a bit of your Xmas shopping ….I’m getting there too …but mostly on line .We gave in and got an artificial tree some years ago ….but I bought a smaller one last year , because it was getting too much for me to put the big one up! They have dispatched the replacement doorbell by UPS dont know when it will arrive, not putting up decorations this year, or doing cards, rang up the fish monger, was going to give him and order but they were too busy, he said they would ring me Monday afternoon, i need salt fish, smoked haddock, salmon, king prawns, all sorts really as i am pretty low on stock, hope my lad takes me to the farm shop tomorrow, very low on bacon and sausages, eggs, fruit, bread & rolls and spare ribs.

Cooked some spare ribs in the air fryer tonight, wow, so quick, very efficient.

I only went into the back to the bin to put some recycling in, they are on strike this week so the bins wont be emptied, thats ok as i have nothing to be collected next week.

Got 9 hrs 24 mins sleep last night so time for bed for me now.

That's good you are finding the air fryer so convenient. We love it, especially with my family coming and going, I can shove some frozen fish and chips in, and all done easily in 15 mins.

Did you find it hard to get over jet lag when you came home, or were you ok?

Went for a walk down seafront today and I can never remember it feeling so cold, the wind was bitter. So we went in a cafe and I had a mulled wine to warm up. It was very nice.

They say we have a cold spell with snow to come and its from Norway, so its called the"Troll from Trondheim".

I think that I have heard a cold winter can follow execption hot temperatures in summer.

Glad I have my electric blanket.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky A mediocre night , but I did go for a long walk first thing , and posted some more cards . It’s definitely getting colder . I have seen a Cyril several times on my walks recently , but none today …I think there were too many dog walkers about ! Aside from that , I’ve written a few more cards , come some washing, put the bins out ready for collection tomorrow , and had a piece of steak for my lunch ….and that’s me done for the day ….unless I decide to take another batch to the postbox .I hope everyone else is enjoying their Monday .

Yes, going out for my Birthday with No.#5 son and his son, then out with No.#3 son for Christmas with his new GF.

New Ring doorbell push came today, thought it was coming by UPS but DPD delivered it, went to the farm shop, got plenty of stuff, also managed to get the fish delivery in as well, so thats sorted.

Will have to wait for one of the lads to come to install the new doorbell as my eyes are not that good.

Yes, it's no fun getting over jet lag, your body has no idea what is going on.

Well, for Christmas Mrs H always did the cards etc so i am not going to dig out the hundreds of names and addresses, 99% i had no idea who they were, i am not expecting any cards really, i dont get visitors, i have basially beed abandoned by the looks of it, apart from my sons, but thats the way the cookie crumbles.

I've got food, what more could you need?

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  It’s sunny , but freezing today .Not a great night , and I’m still waiting for the package that was due yesterday ….so no walk this morning ! Therefore I’ve spent another day doing housework .I’ve changed the bedding ….including the duvet shuffle …done two loads of washing , cleaned the kitchen , and , if this parcel ever bliddy arrives , I will walk to the post box yet again ! I hope everyone else is having a good Wednesday , whatever you are up to .

My lad managed to call tonight and we got the new Ring doorbell connected, had a problem getting it connected untill i realised i had 2 of them showing in the app, so had to google how to take the old one out.

Dropped an egg getting a couple out of the fridge, scooped most up and put kitchen towel over the rest.

Quite liking the coffee maker, just make the carafe then turn it off, then have a one cup size from it, which is 250ml sp i get 7 cups from the one brewing, just put the cup in micro for 90 secs then add the coffee mate and some sugar.

Hope Mollie has had a good day, glad your package came, i'm expecting a few parcels tomorrow.

Enjoyed tea time club today, but its a shame I have missed so many this week.

We went to the first screenings of the films son had worked on last night, We got free mulled wine and because MrM was driving, I of course drank his. He had a mince pie though, as that was free too.

So annoying when eggs smash on the floor as they make such a mess. And it can't be easy for you to see egg on the floor with your eye problem.

Glad you are liking your coffee maker, I too make excess coffee, then reheat it in the microwave.

Very chilly here too, didn't go much above freezing today, but I still managed to get my washing nearly dry outside as the air is dry.

Middle son has a cold, so hope it doesn't last long and doesn't pass round the family. That is the trouble with winter, so many germs around.

It is still icy here in certain spots. So didn't go for a walk, but did manage to go to town and got some party food from Iceland for after Christmas and some flowers and a card, as a thank you, to give to the couple who organised the party last week.

I am enjoying our tea time club this week, very nice and seasonal.

Having trouble posting our parcels. As Royal Mail is on strike, son found an alternative where you take it to a locker to be collected. (we have done this before, trouble free). Only the problem is now, all over the area, the lockers are full, so we have to keep checking to see if we can locate a locker not too far away, so its still free when MrM drives there. So far, we have had the parcels sitting her for 2 days now and endless full lockers! Oh dear, hope we can get them on their way soon.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Temperatures not above -2 here all day ….so no walk again ! I slept really well last night , so to stop myself going totally stir crazy , I went and did a bit of tidying up in the garden this morning …..luckily my patio never freezes over ….something to do with the bricks it’s made of I think ….so I fed the birds …sorted out the bird baths again ….and swept up . Aside from that , I’ve not done much at all …just some washing , and general tidying up . So my day was going ok until I managed to slice my finger on a time lid !Its not a big cut , but it bled quite a bit so was very messy ! I hope everyone else is having a good day , whatever you are up to .

Didnt realise i havent been on, time flys so fast these days, Yes Mollie, i have seen sons new GF a few times, very nice,

My lad and fam abroard are in a fab place, wow, a dream area, he thinks it might be good enough to settle there.

Some of my latest Amazon orders arrived today, a new Toastie maker, Horlicks and Drinking chocolate, and some reusable pods that go in the Dolce Gusto machine, tried it with a coffee, going to try it with other drinks.

My fish delivery came Tuesday so am well stocked, but they sent a snow crab as they had no King crab, quite a struggle to get the meat from the legs, never again, so i ordered an Alaska King Crab cluster on Amazon, they used to be £20 in Costco now it was £109 for similar, but it's so good, you need melted butter to dip the meat in.

I've got the heating down to 18c and have a padded jacket over my zipped jumper so all good, rnergy display says £9.88 all ready for today, crazy energy prices.

very cold here too today, but the forecast shows it is going to get milder soon. I expect we will be stuck with rain then!  It has been so pretty with the day time sun and frost overnight lately.

We finally found free lockers for the parcles, so they went yesterday. I feel for the Royal Mail workers, even though we had to struggle to get our parcels off. Its so hard now getting by with the price of rent/housing/heating on an ordinary salary and they keep making working conditions worse for most now.

Yes heating costs are off the scale now, we too turned ours down, to as much as we can stand. And I am still pegging washing on the line to avoid use of the tumble drier.

I managed to go for a walk with son today, had to avoid the ice patches. And my washing nearly dried on the line in the sun. Just needs airing indoors now.

Enjoyed watching the teatime craft show, then Christmas Dinner Date tonight. They do seem to make some nice food on that show.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰Very wet , and cold here today , so the furthest I’ve been is to the bins , and to feed the wildlife ! Not too bad a night for me though ….in fact I nearly made it to the alarm .😱😱🤣🤣🤣Apart from that I’ve done two loads of washing , dusted and hoovered ….so another exciting day chez Baz .🙄🙄🤣🤣I hope everyone else’s Sunday is more exciting than mine .🤣🤣

Had a quiet day today, slept till 11am as i was late watching the darts last night, havent been out but think all the snow and ice has melted, didnt go to the cafe for brekkie, did some toasties, 3 of them, pretty filling.

Watching the darts again, it doesnt finish till midnight, not sure if i will stay up yet.

Going to put the dishwasher on in the off peak time, after midnight, depends on whether i go to bed early or not whether i need to put the alarm on, will put the dishes etc in ready anyway.

I messed up 2 of the 3 reusable coffee pods as i cant line up the pod with the injector so it makes a hole in the pod lid and then i cant remove the pod because the injector is jammed in the pod lid, i have 1 pod left, if i cant find a way to locate the pin in the pod i'll have to abort the plan, there is no markings on the pod holder as it was never made for reusable pods of course, if i can mark the centre of the pod holder from somehow i might be able to get it to work, but with my eyes it sure doesnt help.

Mind you the cleaners are here tomorrow i'll ask her for some help, she could mark the crntre i'm sure.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Not a great night for me , but as it was a nice morning I went for a 3k walk , and popped into a local shop and got my grandson birthday card . I saw two Cyril’s when I was out , and I can’t explain how happy that made me .Aside from that , I’ve washed and anti bac’d the Sainsbury delivery . I also had a friend pop in a couple of hours ago (delivering Christmas presents ), and I’ve just had a text to say another friend is popping in in a couple of hours …..how popular am I today .I hope everyone else is enjoying their Tuesday

Mollie , the crafters are making Xmas wreaths today .Plus , don’t forget it’s gorgeous George at 8 o’clock. ..although he will only have eyes for me of course .Hicky , your coffee machine sounds very complicated . Glad you had a good sleep , and are enjoying the darts .

How nice that not only did you see 2 Cyrils, but you also had 2 friends visit. Were they local or did they have to drive to you?

Your birthday photos were so delightful I sent them to Baz. The 3 of you all looked so happy and you could tell you were enjoying yourselves. How nice for your son to put himself out and drive that far in 1 day, specially for your birthday.

A lovely sunny day here today, which is nice as we had a lot of rain yesterday.

We went to town, asda was busy so we avoided it, but went to Iceland, and it wasn't too busy there. I am getting food shopping delivered Thursday, as I don't fancy battling round the shops for food.

Tomorrow I am going to brekkie with my friend and her 2 year old grandson for brekkie with Santa. Hope he likes it and isn't scared of Santa.

I sorted the reusable pod out, i measured the front / back to mark the centre, i brushed the white of the Iipp-Ex across the centre line on the section where the pod hinge is, when the pod was centered i blacked out around it, i can now put the pod into the correct position and it works fine.

Did more toasties, so easy, to make it wasy to butter the bread, i now melt some butter in a mini cast iron frying pan then brush it over the bread while its frozen as its hard to butter bread with real butter.

Did some oven chips for tea in the air fryer, and had 2 fried eggs with them.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Wet and chilly here today , so no walk for me . I didn’t have a bad night , so I’ve done two loads of washing ….including the duvet shuffle ….I’ve dusted , fed wildlife , and cleaned kitchen . I had some nice lamb chops for lunch , and , once the duvet cover is dry , that’s me done for the day . I hope everyone else is enjoying their Thursday .
