Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Sunny , but chilly here today . Not a great night , but I went for a walk this morning …..blew away some cobwebs ……and I’ve done a load of washing , cleaned kitchen and bathrooms , and , after I’ve had my lunch , lamb chops , that’s me done for today .I hope everyone else is having a good  Sunday .

Mollie, sorry your arthritis is still bad in the evenings .But glad the teatime club helps a bit .Is it 5 o’clock again this week ? I have been taking bp tablets for several years now …with no ill effects ….but if you mean the statins m I decided not to take them as they can upset your digestion , and I have enough with my ibs !
Hicky , I’m glad you had no effects from either the flu jab , or the tablets .I hope lowering the sensitivity on your camera will sort things out .

Have you had your blood pressure check Baz, the last time i was in hospital i was in a right mess, i had been taking prescribed blood pressure tablets for years but the hospital found my BP so so low it was serious, i was on a drip for a long time trying to get it back up, they stopped my tablets straight away, i had no idea, thats one of the problems with tablets, you get them for life, unlike antibiotics.

Had a nice brekkie out, and a wonder around the new corner shop which is now a lovely Morrisons Local, some great stuff, couldnt get too much as i only had a couple of bags, the staff helped me and even carried the bags ove the road to the Cafe for me where i ring a taxi.

Hoping the gardeber can come Tuesday, got a few jobs for him to do, some growth coming over the fences as well, brambles and ivy type stuff as each side of the bottom 5m it is overgrown land not looked after, and at the bottom is growth between ne and a school field, it has another fence and hedge of bramble etc, but hard to control, and i dont think anyone does.

Yes statins! Those are the ones I heard about that can give problems, so glad to hear you are not on those and that the ones you do have, don't give you problems.

good job the hospital spotted your low blood pressure problems and took you off those tablets. My friend gets low BP and it can make her dizzy.

That's nice the new Morrisons store are so helpful and even carried your bags for you to the cafe.

Have spent the last 3 days sitting in the garden, the sun has been lovely and warm, can't believe it is October. All helps to make the winter shorter though when we get an Indian summer like this.

Went to Costco today, and got my new fave from the Take Away. It is the caramel/coffee frapaccino, topped with cream.

Then sat in the garden and enjoyed it.

Got around 5 washloads dried nicely today.

Went to pet shop yesterday to get the pets some treats. Saw a lovely long haired white guinea pig, and a baby bunny, so cute.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Lovely sunny day here , and not a bad night so, despite feeling quite down today , I went for a walk first thing and enjoyed the fresh air . Aside from that I’ve done two loads of washing , changed sheet and pillowcases (duvet shuffle tomorrow ), cleaned kitchen and antibacd the shopping . After listening to something on the radio,   I suddenly remembered that I had bought an electric fleecy over blanket a couple of years ago , and I’ve finished it out ( tested it ) and put it on the bed ….so I should be very snuggly tonight ..It’s going to be some steak for lunch , then that will be me done for today .I hope everyone else is having a good Tuesday .

Mollie , yes , it’s looks like being a very fun teatime club this week , eh .I hope you are enjoying some sunshine down there ….it’s almost springlike here .Yes, statins can be a problem , so after weighing it up I decided to give them a miss ! The gardener came Monday, got quite a shock, but it was mid afternoon, he must have finished his last job early so had some free time, he soent almost 2 hours here getting out the dead or dying plants, he gave me a load of cherry toms, had a load this morning for brekkie, so nice.

Will get him back at end of the month to feed the trees etc and preper for winter, been picking more raspberries, so nice with cream, a big Bramley fell off the tree while gardener was passing it, made a couple of apple crumbles tonight.

Got a refund from British Gas as i had paid too much and a letter saying i will get £600 for the winter fuel payment this year from DWP, nice.

Did a washload and tried it in the tumble dryer, think i might have to change the duvet for the autumn one, have to turn the heating down at night or i cant sleep, i had it on manual but have turned it back to auto, not too worried about the gas bill as it's still about 1/4 of the price of electric, think gas is 10p a kwh and electric is about 38p. last year it was gas at 4p and electric at 19p, it is double now and will still go up.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Rain overnight , but it was dry first thing so I put on my mac and went for a walk to the post box . It was quite wet underfoot , but I was rewarded with seeing a Cyril ….he was having a lovely time filling his face with what looked like acorns .Aside from that I have done a load of washing , cleaned kitchen and sorted out tomorrows M&S delivery . I also paid my credit card bill ….which was very painful ….and ordered a woolly hat, some thick walking socks, and some Xmas cards .I hope everyone else is having a good Friday .

Mollie, I hope things have calmed down a bit in your world today .I’m really looking forward to payments day tonight…it’s been a good week  .Has your son had any more job interviews ? Hicky , I think my gardener will be doing the pre winter lawn cut and tidy up next week too .Well done on the winter fuel payment …I should be getting the  same , although I’ve not been notified yet ….I think mine normally comes through towards the end of November .

Didnt do much today, apart from cook a couple of meals, No.#3 son popped in to update me on his plans.

Picked a couple of apples to cut up and munch, thawed some Flank steak for the curry tonight, did it in the slow cooker.

Strange thing with Amazon, i was comparing the cost of buying coffee sachets with coffee pods, i thought the sachet looked cheaper so ordered a load, then after before i got the dispatch email i tried to cancel the order as i checked some pod costs and they were no dearer, but they couldnt cancel as the order was being processed, next thing i get the dispatch letter, but they didnt arrive, rgen i got an email saying there was a delivery problem and the order ewas being returned and i would get a refund, so i went and ordered the pods, the Caffe Latte, then they were dispatched, then they didnt arrive and i got an email saying they had a delivery problem and they will be delivered 20th - 22nd, well they havent arrived yet so i'm very low on pods now, so have been drinking some tea which is a very cheap alternative.

At least you got out for a short walk, even if only to post a letter, i went in the garden and into the garage.

Got F1 this weekend, funny hours though as in from the USA.

Didnt hear any rain last night, one of my top windows is open a bit so can usually hear rain, might depend on wind direction though.

Went to the Cafe for Brekkie, called into the corner shop for milk, not that i really need milk but sometimes i fancy a cup of tea.

Not sure what is going on with Amazon, they sent me back the money for the delivery that never arrived, my next order was Caffe Latte pods, they havent arrived either, on my Amazon order acc it says it seems to have been lost, it should have arrived on the 19th, then 20 to 22nd, nothing, so strange, and it says it was sent by Amazon shipping from E.U. X.tores, the tracing says  delivery delayed wednesday, no mention after that, so no idea what is going on, i though the items were coming straight from an Amazon depot, obviously not.

I watched my recording of the voice, not watched the masked dancer yet, saw Strictly, as you say, the music didnt match the dances, it wont, they dress them up to please the audience, they dont care 2 hoots about the dancers, it's all for show, the same with film night and Blackpool, nothing to do with dancing really, and that why they change everyone dance every week, so they cant get better at it.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky I’m not feeling great today , and being woken up by the bliddy bin men at 7 o’clock didn’t help !But it’s a sunny day , so I did manage a walk this morning . Aside from that , I’ve changed the bedsheet , washed , hoovered , antibacd the Sainsbury delivery , fed the wildlife, and done an update ….so not a totally wasted day . Plus gardener has been and mowed the lawns , although tbh I felt it was too wet , but hey ho. I hope everyone else is having a good day , whatever you are up to.

Strange i've had no delivery at all, a bit worried about ordering anything just now, dont understand.

I go on the 6th Baz, think i have everything written down on a check list now, so much to do when you are on your own.

A neighbour who has keys will come in now and again to check all is ok.

At least out binnies dont come that early, usually after 09:30.

At least you got a walk in, i've done 1.129 steps, most in the house apart from putting rubbish in a wheelie in the back.

Hope Mollie is ok and family, she hasnt posted for a week.

Yes looks like tea time viewing is going to be good this week. I enjoy that hour, as not only are the shows good (and the company, of course), but I am usually able to plan relatively uninterupped around that hour. It is getting increasingly difficult for me to find free time watching anything without using the pause a lot lately, with the poor old doggie needing help and washing harder to sort out now I can't dry it so easy on the line, plus son doing long weird hours at work. So looking forward to tomorrow tea time again.

Glad to hear you made it to the cafe for brekkie. I am due to go tomorrow morning with my friend and her little grandson.

Gosh Amazon does sound confusing. HOpe they sort it out for you. I have noticed that some things now have to come from abroad, but it should tell you when you order which ones are direct from Amazon and which ones take longer to arrive, as they come from abroad.

£600 is a really good allowance for your winter fuel, so at least you know you can keep warm this winter, which is important for you now. We only get that £60  a month for 6 months, knocked directly off the direct debit to the utiliities, but at least it has been mild so far, so I haven't had the heating on and will keep it off as long as possible this year. Like Baz, I have an electric blanket which I know are cheap to run and last winter, I found it so snuggly, so will use it again this winter.

I enjoyed the Masked Singer. There is also a series of "I can see your Voice" started on bbc1 on Saturday nights. I really enjoy that one. So funny when the non singers sing.

I did have a nice weekend, thank you. Some nice warm weather, so was able to sit out in the garden inbetween the odd shower and house jobs.

Did a bit of Christmas shopping in B and M yesterday as I have noticed the shops are starting to get busier now with people buying Christmas gifts. Bought an Advent Calendar each for the family amongst other things.

Went to Costco today and had my fave caramel coffee latte topped with cream. Yummy.

With Christmas shopping, and usual food shopping and washing for all the family and pets, I don't seem to have much free time lately. With son working odd hours too, I try to juggle a family meal around his hours too. Plus I am trying to get a walk in somewhere each day to help the arthritis. You do well Baz sticking to your walking so well each day. And its nice you are getting out to the shop and cafe, and for a walk round your garden HIcky.

A quiet day here, didnt do much apart from making food, had some of the chicken casserole for brekkie then converted it to a curry for tea.

Put the dishwasher on as stuff building up by the sink. it should do a 29min wash but because i dont put the rinse aid fluid in it sets to 44mins, the rinse aid is in the tablet these days, would have to cancel it on the machine setup.

Glad you had a good night, i slept till 10am, went to bathroom about 3am then stayed in bedwatch says i had 9hrs 31mins, that was nice, went to bed about 11:45, find it so hard to go early, unless i have to get up early.

I know I do too much at times and my leg/feet hurt, but am trying to get my Christmas shopping in before the Christmas rush in the shops, but trying to keep up with house jobs too at the same time. And, of course I don't like to miss out on my 2 cafe brekkie dates with my 2 different friends every week. So can't complain, as that is fun.

Still very mild here again for the time of year, which is good as we don't want to put the heating on.

Went for brekkie with my friend yesterday, and MrM did some of her gardening. She wanted some daff bulbs planting ready for spring, so he worked on that.

Today had a wonder around B and Q, some nice Christmas decs in there and real Christmas trees. We usually get a real one, but don't think we will this year, as they are so messy and awkward to get rid of and our old doggie will probably walk into it as she can't see very well at all now. Shame they dont' do glasses for old dogs.

Son doesn't go out very often, but last night it was the end of a few months of filming,  in which he worked very long hours, so they all had a party. He got home after 4am! At least he came into my bedroom to tell me he was home ok. He got a taxi home and he is a bit naive, so he didn't realise how much taxis can charage for night time weekend rates. His bill was £90! And on his wages it takes a long time to earn that! He said he wished he had hung around the train station till the trains started again at 5.30am. Oh well, we live and learn at his age.

Time for one of my fave tv shows now on bbc1 - "I can see your voice". I like trying to guess which ones are the real singers. I usually get it wrong though.

I only get a notification if you quote me with a reply, i will be away for 3 weeks, coulddo with 3 years really.

I think Baz should get the Whatsapp app on her mobile, not sure why she hasnt got it all ready, i use it on my mobile and have it on my computer, it's fntastic, i can have vid calls to anywhere in the world and get video's from the lads daily, and its all encrypted so cant be intercepted either.

Oh wow, £90 fpr a taxi, how far did he travel, that seems an awful lot to pay.

And the clocks go back tonight, i'll get an extra hours sleep then.

I rang the airline up to check what time i need to get to the airport for the flight, 2.5hrs before, wow, and i'm an hour from the airport so will have to get a taxi at 7.30 which means getting up at 6am, not my ideal time on a Sunday morning.

Hope Baz had a good day, i'm watching Darts, have had to record all the rest, even F1 from Mexico.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  I hope everyone is having a good Monday . I was poorly over the weekend , and I am still not 100% , but thankfully I do feel a bit better today ! Having said that , I’ve not done much cos I feel quite worn out …no walk again …but I have had some lunch , so time will tell .  So all I’ve done is some washing , and napping .

You dont need a computer for Whatsapp, you download it onto your phone from the app store, i have it on my mobile and computer as my eyes are bad, just use the mobile when not at the computer or if i am on holiday, all my sons have it just on their mobile, which mobile doesnt matter,

You can get Whatsapp on the ipad, my son in Cornwall only has all Apple, you can still have facetime, it's just an app, you can have a hundred apps, you use use the one you want to at the time, there's no reason at all why you cant download the app and get it working, then you can talk or send pictures to anyone who is on your contacts list on your mobile.

The cleaners were her today, and just a coincidence the Ring camera's all went offline, i tried everything for an hour or more, even rang the computer guy as they couldnt comnnect to wifi, then all of a sudden they all came back online, so i cancelled the computer guy and looked on the web, it's seems that all people with Ring/Alexa/Amazon prime video on BT had gone down, so that was a releaf that it wasnt my stuff, i saw a report that it was a link between the UK & US that went down.

Sorry to hear you were bad over the weekend, thats not nice at all, so no walkies, just take it easy untill you are back to normal.

Thats fine if you dont want Whatsapp, i would be lost without it of course, and being able to send video's etc from around the world is great for me.

Had a brekkie out again as i wanted some notes and dollars from the post office, just my luck. all post offives were closed to to technical problem, i'll ring tomorrow and see if they are back online.

Have ordered my taxi's for the hols, made a boo boo on the return so had to ring them back, i asked for a taxi for 7am but i said i was coming back Sunday, later i realised the flight leaves on a Sunday, but arrives on the Monday, the time zones can be a pain, i was confused as my lad over there is 5 hrs behind, so trying to add 8.5hrs to the flight is impossible when you cross time zones.

Got some Sushi for tea, nice.

We had a new Gogglebox in Welsh this week. Me and MrM enjoyed it. They show mostly mainstream shows ,but I had to make good use of the words on screen in English.

That is nice you made it out for brekkie, but how annoying all the post offices were closed. Hope you managed to sort it today. That is a reason I always make sure we have some cash, as I think if the banks IT suddenly went off, we would be stuck. Dont agree with them trying to get rid of cash completely.

Good job you realised your mistake about the taxi before you left. It is so confusing with these different time zones.

I did it again and posted, then closed pc before submitting. I am getting so many interruptions lately with the boys asking me things and the poor old doggie needs to go out lots of times now, and needes feeding little and often. She does sleep a lot more now. Bless her. Also when I can, I am off to the shops to do my Christmas shopping before it gets too busy.

I too went out for brekkie today. What a lovely day it was, after brekkie I sat in garden with my friend whilst MrM planted some daffodil bulbs for her and it was so warm in the sunshine.  Then did a few jobs and got my washing out , which dried nicely.

Yesterday we went to the Deisgner outlet and they had all the Christmas decs up and Christmas food, eg turkey stuffing baquet stall and strawberry/marshmallow dipped in melted choc. I managed to resist, but bought an advent calendar filled with a selection of Belgian chocs.

My eye is improved, but still not better,its sticky and annoying when I wake up. So I decided to try a different chemist and they sorted me some antibiotic eye drops out. They gave it me under "the mild ailments" shceme. I had never heard of it, but appartently instead of going to GP, you can get diagnosed from chemist and they take your name and GP details and give you the meds for free. So can't complain. I would have had to pay for them if they had got them in stock in the supermarket.

Had fireworks going off here all night so far and its only Friday.

I got a taxi to the Post Office this morning, got some £5 notes and som US Dollars.

My #5 son is coming down for my birthday and taking me out and #3 son is coming with his new partner and we are going to a restaurant on the Pargate seaside for a 3 course Christmas dinner.

Todays taxi driver sorted the flight home question out, he said they are 5 hrs behind so here uk time you are leaving Barbados at 11:30, of course, i was thinking the 18:30 was uk time, such a clown, i was taking 5 hours off instead of adding it on.

I tried to check in online but cant untill 11am Saturday, 24 hrs before, its 48 hrs for flights to europe.

I will be able to send you some pictures from hols Mollie, not sure where his next destination is, he was talking about the Philipines, so not sure yet, his visa runs out at the end of the month for Barbados.

Have agood weekend, i wont be going to any bonfires tomorrow, it says light rain here till 4pm but its not my thing.

glad you sorted out your cash out ok this time at the Post Office.

That will be nice to go out for a 3 course Christmas meal by the seaside. You will have to take your time eating 3 courses. and that will be a nice treat to be taken out for a meal on your birthday too.

I also forget, does your son's wife originally come from the Philippines? If so I assume they will be able to stay there as long as they want?

I too won't be going to the fireworks displays this year, as my achy knees won't appreciate standing around in the cold. It is raining here too. We havent had many fireworks going off here this year. (maybe becasue they are expensive?).

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  I slept ok , and feel better today …so hopefully the antibiotics are kicking in . Consequently I’ve been catching up on my housework .Kitchen , bathroom , hoovering , duvet shuffle , washing and feeding wildlife …plus gardener has just arrived and is mowing lawns and tidying up hedges …..so a much better day all round chez Baz . And I’m loving my weighted blanket too . I hope everyone else is enjoying their Wednesday too .

I bet HIcky is enjoying his break with the family in the sun, he told me it was 30c yesterday.

Nice for him to get away now, just as our weather is breaking.

I went for brekkie at Harvester with my friend and her 2 year old grandson. Its a nice place to go with toddlers. They don't charge for their food and you get as much toast as you want bought to you, when you have a cooked brekkie.

I have the veggie option, which is veg sausage, beans , tomato, hash brown, vegetable fingers, mushrooms.

Hellow Mollie and Baz, It's hard to post on the mobile, Mollie will send some pics Baz, only 30c in day and 27c all night, but have Aircon in bedroom so it's set to 25c, rooms have big ceiling fan.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky   Not heard from doc yet ( they said to ring  at 4 if I hadn’t had a call), but I started to feel better yesterday evening ….and definitely feel better today …so far …so maybe the antibiotics kicked in after all . I didn’t have a bad night , so I’ve spent today catching up on the housework again….cleaned kitchen and bathroom , changed bed sheet , washed , and had some steak for lunch . I hope everyone else is having a nice  Friday .

Evening Mollie and Baz, had 10 minutes outside, no wind so came back in, Son did food and drinks all day, no TV here to talk of, sleeping a bit not a lot.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Sunny day here , so I managed to go for a walk …first time in a week . I went to the postbox, the cashpoint,  and did my foray into the local shop .Aside from that , I’ve done a big wash , hoovered, cleaned kitchen , emptied bins , and fed the wildlife …..so not a bad Sunday .I hope everyone else is enjoying their day too .
