Evening Mollie & Baz.

Not a bad day, more cloud than i would like but dry and not too cold, didnt do a lot, had a walk around the garden, nothing needed doing, had a walk around the block, had a natter to a neighbour that lost her hubby last year, had sausage with hash browns and egg for brekkie, for tea had Nachos with Jalopeno's and Salsa, made too much so hope the other half will be ok tomorrow.

Had a look online to see about this cafe i found on Monday, its open every day, closes at 2pm but does meals and Sunday Lunch, i can see my using this place as a backup for the odd meal, they do takeaway also, in fact i think during Covid they had a delivery service running, probably stopped now, they have a great menu anyway.

SIL started her Radiotherapy Tuesday on her leg, each week day for 6 week course, it's going to be very painful as well, it will destroy the leg skin etc that had healed, but thats the way it is.

Hope you both have been sleeping ok, i'm not too bad, got Darts tonight from 7pm anyway.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hick  Lovely sunny day here ….so I went for a 3k walk first thing ….no Cyrils ….but at least I blew a few cobwebs away . When I came home I cleaned the back patio ….as well as I could….did some washing …which I hope is drying right now ….πŸ€žπŸ»πŸ€žπŸ»β€¦..and had some nice M&S poached salmon for lunch . I hope everyone else is having a good day too .

Mollie , I hope the weather is as nice down there , and that your knees aren’t too bad today . By the way , Dame has rumbled us in the Spain thread .Hicky , glad they are monitoring your heart , and that cafe sounds a good idea .I hope your sil doesn’t suffer too much with the radiotherapy …but like you say , needs must .

Well it’s a full evenings viewing for me tonight …Spain , Masterchef , GW , and Gogglebox on plus 1 .I hope you both have a good evening , and take care .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

A nice day here again, my No.#2 son came to see me, his daughter drove down from her place as well, we went to that cafe again and got an all day brekkie, very nice too, i can get a full English with toast tea and orange juice for Β£6 which does me fine.

I walked the garden, watered the new plants just to keep them from drying out in the sun, walked to post a letter then walked around the block, had the rest of the Nachos for tea, on my walks, the breathing was fine but the joints ached.

Glad you were able to get your walk in, i need to eat more salmon, i have some, just not sure where it is, will look tomorrow for it.

Hope Mollies knee is not playing up, my lad today mentioned he had had both hips replaced, i didnt realise that, he's only about 53-ish.

glad your weather is ok and you got your walk round the block and your garden. Its so nice now we have longer days and a bit of sunshine thrown in too.

That cafe could be handy for you. We like the little local cafes round here, they always provide us with hot fresh food and the best value. They might still be doing delivery, so worth a check, the ones round here carried on with takeaway and delivery.

In fact we are off to our usual Saturday morning brekkie down the local diner tomorrow morning.

Aaaww your poor SIL, that treatment sounds nasty. Hope she doesn't suffer too much.

Were your nachos ok the next day, or had they gone too soft? Your nachos menu sounds very tasty.

Baz

that's nice you too got some sun and managed your walk. You must have had a burst of energy if you cleaned the patio too.

Fancy getting rumbled by Dame just before we make our Β£2 million house purchas in Spain.

I am watching Gogglebox now, just paused awhile as MrM is making doggie her tea, as she started barking for it, which is good as at her age, we are only too pleased, she still enjoys her food.

Sat out in the garden as it was a nice day and did my Sudoku puzzles. I like doing them.

Then went to my physio class later today and I hate it! It is exhausting, but has to be done if I want to see improvement. There was only 2 of us there today and we both have same problem in same knee, so he had us both climbing up and down this step with the physio telling us how to do it properly. We  had stopped doing steps properly because of the pain in one knee, and just do steps one at a time, which is not good. Pysio is very good, and he is sure these exercises will help us if we stick it out. He said we will need to rest it till Monday now though as we worked the muscles hard today. I will certainly be ready for my rest in bed soon. I put my electric blanket on too because that does help it.

Have a good evening both xxx

Hicky

we posted together then.

How nice you got out for brekkie with the family. Your cafe brekkie sounds a bargain like our local cafe is.

Well done getting your walk round the block in again. Glad your breathing was fine but shame you were achy after. (I understand the problem as I always am achy after a walk and at the end of each day).

Gosh your son is young to have had 2 hip replacements. Is that the same son who has had problems with his knee op?

Tv time again for me.

goodnight Hicky x

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Another nice day here, didn't do a lot, just had bacon and egg on toast for brekkie and had fish and chips for tea, used a baking spud for the chips, cooked them in the new cast iron frying pan.

Walked to post a  letter again and walked around the block, checked the garden to see if anything needed doing.

The cafΓ© doesn't do delivery now, or a Sunday lunch any more, the Nachos were fin after being in the oven again for 20 minutes.

No, the son with the bad knee is only 42, the one with the replacement hips is 53.

Nighty night all.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Happy Sunday folks .It’s been wet here today , so no walk for me this morning . So I’ve spent the day doing housework …..washing , hoovering , dusting , cleaning the kitchen ,and anti bacing the Sainsbury shop .Apart from that I’ve had some nice pork steaks for lunch , and , after the towels have finished drying , that’s me done for the day.

Mollie , don’t worry , we will sneak the Β£2million house past Dame tomorrow  .I’m sorry the physio is such heavy going , but like you say , I’m sure it will be worth it in the end . Don’t forget , it’s Tiny Design Challenge tonight at 9 .Hicky , your poor son having to have two hip replacementsSorry , the cafe doesn’t order any more , but glad you are managing to get some walking in .

Well it’s Happy Campers , and Tiny Design Challenge for me tonight .Have a good evening both .

wet here too today, so I too today just did a bit of housework. MrM and son went to Costco and bought a jacket potato with cheese home for me for my lunch which I enjoyed. It was still hot too as they put it in a cardboard container, then wrap it up with foil for takeaways.

I am looking forward to seeing our 2 million villa tomorrow on the Spain show. Wonder which one of the 3 we will choose?

Thanks for the reminder of the Tiny Design show, as it is on unusual channel I missed the 1st few epiosodes of it, and nearly missed last weeks until you reminded me.

Hicky

You are doing well getting out for your little walk round the block.

What a shame your cafe doesn't do deliveries now, but glad to hear you went there for brekkie today. Such a nice treat to get out to a cafe for food.

That was a good idea to reheat the nachos in the oven the next day.

Gosh your 2 sons were young to have joint replacements. Did they play a lot of sport when younger as I know playing sports can trigger joint problems.

I usually have physio on Mondays, but am escaping tomorrow as its Bank Hol. But he has given us homework to do starting tomorrow.

I have to start my food diary and practise going up and down the steps how he taught us to.

Nearly tv time now for me.

Hope this rain doesn't go on for too long, as we have been enjoying the dry weather so much recently.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Not bad here today, maybe some light rain overnight, haven't seen any, had bacon and egg on toast for brekkie, my lad got me some Sushi for tea.

Had a coffee in the man cave, looked around the garden, nothing needed doing, had a walk around the cul-de, ordered a 4.5 tog duvet for summer as the 15 tog one i have is too hot, even for winter.

My lad who had the hips done was never sporty, probably arthritis of the joints, don't know really.

Mollie, good luck with the exercises, any physio is always hard to do, but it has to be done to improve mobility in the end.

Baz, pity you couldn't get your walk in, not worth chancing slipping though, and no fun in the rain anyway.

I've got a nice pack of smoked cod for brekkie.

I didn't order my fish today as forgot it was a bank holiday, will ring tomorrow.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky   It was wet and overcast here first thing , but it’s brightened up a bit now , so I’ve just managed to get a couple of k in , cos it’s looking like it’s going to be very wet tomorrow …and even thundery . Aside from that I slept better last night  , but I’ve not really done a lot , just rescued the bin, done some hoovering and washing .I hope everyone else is having a good Tuesday , whatever you are up to .

Mollie , that was a very productive buying trip yesterday .Let’s hope todays is as good .How is your food diary going? Is there a reason for having to do it ? I saw something the other day that suggested certain types of food may aggravate arthritis . Hicky , I used to like M&S kedgeree with smoked haddock , but I think they stopped doing it . I have a 13.5 tog duvet (both summer and winter), but this year I used a teddy fleece duvet cover as well.

Well, it’s Spain , Masterchef , and Yorkshire Vet tonight , so that’s my viewing sorted .Take care of yourselves , and have a good evening.

Baz

Baz

hope it was not too wet there today, or even thundery.

Not too bad here, dull and dry, but brightened up in the afternoon.

Glad you slept a bit better and managed to get your walk in, hope you did today too.

My food diary so far is non existant, so must try harder. The idea is to lose weight as I am a fatty now. Phyio says even though I am not eating more, its because the pain of arthritis means I am not so active, so has easily lead to gradual weight increase. However I have tried hard with the exercise, so hope to follow up with calorie reduction next. That is not going to be easy. I don't eat a lot of junk but do enjoy my meals.

I am enjoying the Spain show each evening and it gives me a chance to sit down at an early evening time each night. Looking forward to the sewing show tonight.

Hicky

I too have a 13.5 tog quilt and a real thin 5 tog one for summer, but it has not been warm enough to give up the winter one yet.

That is nice you can enjoy a coffee in your man cave as a change of scenery. When it is really hot in summer, I go and sit in an old chair in the garage, as it is cooler in there.

HOpe your are pleased with your fish order when it arrives.

Went to Sainsburys today for a bit of a food shop, but called into Gregs for a nice hot cheese and onion pasty that I ate outside first. (good job I haven't started the food diary yet).

Then sat out in the sun when we got back. The sun is really warming up now, but the chilly wind takes the bite out of it. Not that I am complaining, as I dont' like it too hot.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Quite a nice day here, my Dvet came, the 4.5 tog one, on the back it has a chart of the togs per season, 4.5 to 7.5 tog is Summer, 10.5 is Spring and autumn, Winter is 15 tog, i need to get the 10.5 one really, i should be using that one now, they are only Β£16 for a Single.

My coffee pods came so am stocked up with those, got darts tonight and F1 tomorrow and the weekend, also got the eye clinic in the morning, No.# 5 Son coming Saturday.

I had a Poussin for tea, with Cajun spice, of course, will see if i can get to the farm shop on Saturday, they sell fantastic homemade curry sauces and lovely sausages, and everything that other shops don't sell, it really is a wonderland of food, and the veg, wow, i can't buy the onions, they are so big, like cantaloup melons.

I had a coffee in the Man Cave as i have all the stuff out there, i have the bank of LED lights above the 9cm pots with the baby beetroot plants in, will leave them on day and night, there are 6 x 5w lamps, they are GU 10 ones, similar to what i have indoors.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  A better day chez Baz today . I had a reasonable night, and , as the weather is ok, I went for a 3k walk first thing . Still no signs of any Cyrils ….but it was nice to get some fresh air . Aside from that , I did another small load of washing , which is now dry, cleaned kitchen , and ironed . I also hoovered downstairs, had a gammon steak and chips for lunch , and that’s me done for the day . I hope everyone else is enjoying their Friday , whatever you are up to .

.Mollie , I hope you’ve started that food diary now .I too am enjoying the Spain programme ….and we’ve bought some nice couple of houses this week , eh. I’m having trouble giving up my teddy fleece duvet cover …have to swapped yours yet ? We will be watching Gogglebox at 9 tonight , if you fancy joining Ros and I .Hicky , glad your lightweight duvet came ok .If energy prices go up much more I might invest in a 15tog for next winter . I hope you make it to the farm shop this weekend .

Well , it’s Gardeners World and Gogglebox for me tonight .I hope you both have a good evening …and look after yourselves .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

I was at the eye clinic this morning, just the usual tests and pictures this month, made a nice tea with a lamb leg steak, 2 sausages and some left over tinned toms, and an egg.

Have ordered another 2 duvet sets and a 10,5 duvet, the winter duvet has got a heavy cover on it which i will change.

My #5 son should be gere in the morning, he'll have his lad and dog with him, hoping to go for brekkie then if we get to the farm shop i will load up on fantastic fruit and veg, also will get sausages and curry sauces.

Just watching F1 P1 at Miami.

Glad you got your walk in, i've just filled and emptied the dishwasher, had darts last night so that was good.

Have a good weekend, i might be able to get on, will see how things go.

The heart nurse wants me to record my weight each morning, so that's another chore i have to do.

Oh, i forgot, i have asked my mobile provider to send me a new Sim so i can use the mobile Mrs H had, its a lot newer than mine, mine can't use G5 so i would need to change anyway.

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Had quite a day, my lad came with his lad and dog, we went for brekkie, so goof then went to the farm shop, got loads of lovely stuff, when we got home the new sim card had arrived, wow, so good, we spent hours following instructions to transfer stuff over to the Galaxy A51, password nightmare as usual, 2 phones, which one will ring and get messages, such a pain but after a couple of hours we were getting on top, it was a nightmare trying to link up to get WhatsApp working again on the Puter and link to the right mobile, we did a factory reset on the A51 so i wouldn't keep the old apps etc which could make life more difficult.

For tea roasted some spare ribs i got today, will sort out more meats and sausages in the morning, my lad will be here again, we can go for a fish and chips lunch.

I got some giant mushrooms and giant tomatoes, Asparagus, steaks and pork chops, 8 tubs of various curry sauces.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky Overcast here today …so no walk …..but I slept really well in my nice clean bed last night .So I bit the bullet and washed the duvet cover  this morning , now my 3 times spun cover is nearly dry .Aside from that I’ve hoovered , dusted , cleaned out a cupboard , antibac'd the Sainsbury delivery , and got the bins ready for putting out tomorrow ….and had some chicken for lunch , and that’s me done so , not a totally wasted Sunday . I hope everyone else is having a good day .

Mollie , I hope you are feeling a bit better today .Ros , Kaytee and I will be watching Happy Campers before Tiny Design tonight , if you fancy joining us we will be in the Crib .Hicky , glad you had a nice day with your son , but all that phone stuff sounds a nightmare .But hope you’ve had your fish and chips .

Well , it’s a full evenings viewing for me tonight .Have a good evening both , and take care .

Glad you slept well last night. Gosh 3 times spun, will hopefully mean it dried easily before bedtime. I too still have my teddy quilt cover on as it gets a bit chilly at night, but not the undersheet.

Pity the weather was not good enough for you walk today. It was hot and sunny here all day today, so spent most of it sitting in the garden. Hope you get the good weather too tomorrow, and hope Cyril makes an appearance. He has been hiding a lot lately.

Feeling lot better today thanks, which I hope continues as I have physio tomorrow. Haven't started my food diary yet as I have been feeling so off, I have hardly eaten at all the last few days. Will try and start it tomorrow.

Will try and make it for the 8 pm show tonight , as I do enjoy seeing the caravanners enjoying themselves.

Hicky

I see your darts and F1 has been keeping you busy tv wise, which is good.

And how nice your son, and his son and the dog came yesterday and you all went for brekkie. Did you got to the local cafe again? I bet you are well stocked after visiting that farm shop again.

Glad you eventually got the phone stuff done and are pleased with it.

Hope you did manage to get your fish and chips with your son today.

Hopefully you will get into a routine and so manage to remember your weight each day for the heart nurse.

Nearly tv time for me.

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Baz, at least you slept ok, thats always good, pity no walk but not worth the risk, you get loads done though for a Sunday.

Mollie, glad you are feeling a bit better, hope the physio helps when you get it.

Had another good day, I am getting to like the Samsung Galaxy A51 phone a bit more, got the apps back on and working, have ordered a new case as it's bigger than my mobile so can't use the case, needed a new one anyway.

Went for fish n chips to Parkgate, so lovely, then we went for ice cream, was going to go back to farm shop for fruit but road works stopped that so went to a local coop and got my fruit.

Hicky

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Hope you are both keeping well,

Didn't go out today as i was expecting an Amazon delivery, only a duvet cover, had a nice brekkie, mushrooms, sausage, tomato & bacon with egg.

For tea had a beef Rendang curry, had some fruit, got plenty anyway.

Had a video call from Nicaragua, so good to see them all, think he is going to travel to his next destination by taxi, he is thinking of making his way to Panama but by road, via Costa Rica, stopping for a week or so at each stop on the way, the total journey is about 680 km, but he will book a hotel for every few hundred so he can check the places out, to fly would cost him $2k USD anyway, so he might as well benefit from the journey on the way.

Hicky

Afternoon Meanies  Sunny here now  , and quite warm , but it was overcast first thing ,  so I didn’t go for a walk today. Instead I’ve had a really lazy Tuesday , just a small load of washing , a bit of dusting and hoovered upstairs . I hope everyone else is having an equally lazy day.

Mollie , I hope you are having a good day . I wonder if we will manage to spend some more of Dames dosh in Spain tonight .Hicky , nice that you had a video call with your son ….he certainly gets around . And glad you are getting to grips with your new phone .

Well it’s Spain and Yorkshire Vet for my viewing tonight . I hope you both have a good evening , whatever you are up to . Take care .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Not a bad day here but when i'm expecting deliveries it messes my day up really

Had an Amazon delivery, prescription delivery and a fish delivery, the fish delivery i paid them over the phone after the delivery and i had put it all away, the cost was Β£242, but it will last all week, joking of course, it saves me ordering every week, i got salt cod. Plaice, smoked haddock, salmon fillets anchovies marinated and a box of 5 prawns.

Had a call from the hospital, eye clinic, i am being discharged as my eyes haven't needed attention for 12 months, so that's handy, any problem go to an Optician for checkup.

I've got the Heart nurse here tomorrow afternoon doing a home visit, will see how that goes.

I didnt get a walk in either, apart from taking a box of fish to the garage freezer.

Hicky

bothxxx

Baz

Hope you are well today and slept ok last night.

Did you manage your walk today and any sightings of Cyril? It was pouring here 1st thing but cleared up to be nice and sunny in the afternoon.

I actually managed to join the family for a walk down the lane and back, my incentive being that son said another horse just had a foal, so there are now 2 of them with their mums in the field. My physio must be helping as I made it there and back for the 1st time since January, problem free. The foals are just so cute. Their legs are long and spindly. They only stand for awhile to take mums milk, then sit for a rest. Some of the neighbours came and spoke to me and said it was nice to see me out and about with the family walking again. Another lady has the same problem as me, so I have given her details of this physio course.

Hicky

thats good you are so pleased with the phone .

How nice you made it to Parkgate for fish and chips and ice cream too.

I see your son is certainly getting around seeing the world. Had he decided where he will eventually settle after he completes his travels?

Hope your delivery turns up, yes deliveries do mess up your day, so its good when they arrive nice and early.

Your big fish delivery should give you plenty of choice now and last you awhile.

Sounds like its good news you are being discharged from the eye hospital.

HOpe the heart nurse visit goes ok tomorrow. At least it saves you getting a taxi to see her now she has arranged to visit you.

Went for brekkie at Harvester with my friend her little grandson and my son this morning. Very nice too. When it was time to go, we couldn't get his wellies on. We all tried, even the waitress. In the end he walked to the door in his socks and the waitress carried him to the car for us, as she said she's used to toddlers with twins of her own.

Sewing show time for me now.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Glad you got out for a walk and for brekkie, can't beat that, and to see the Foals, always nice to see, it's a real miracle that they can stand when it takes our children so long before they can walk, crazy.

My lad is in no hurry to decide where to drop anchor, there is so much of the world to see, but the main thing is, where will be best for his money, tax etc, property prices, schooling, food, lots of things to take into consideration, also weather, climate, it's endless really.

Very pleased with the fish delivery, got a feeling it might not last all that long.

The heart nurse arrived at 3:30, i was going to ring her as i was getting worried that she couldn't make it, she wanted to test my blood but something she needed hadn't arrived at the office, she said if it comes tomorrow she will come back, she can't change any medication till she does a blood test, she said she can do an instant test with the result in 2 seconds.

Hope Baz slept ok last night.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky   I hope everyone is having a good Thursday . Mainly sunny here at the moment ….so I managed to get a walk in first thing . Aside from that , I’ve done  some washing , hoovered , sorted out my M&S delivery , and had ham and chips for lunch . Now I’m waiting for the washing machine man .

Oh , and I’ve got no fence at the bottom of my garden cos the people behind …who are responsible for that fence line ….are having a new load of panels put in , and they won’t be replaced until tomorrow .

Mollie , I am so pleased that your physio seems to be working .Awww those foals sound gorgeous .Sewing was good last night , wasn’t it ….and I’m looking forward to Bake Off Professionals starting on the 24th.Hicky , glad the heart nurse arrived ok , and hope she managed to get back today with the blood test . And great news about the eye hospital ….that will make life a bit simpler for you .

Well, apart from the daily trip to Spain , I’m not sure what I’m watching tonight , but I’m sure I’ll find something . I hope you both have a good evening , whatever you are up to .

Baz

glad you got your walk in today.

Hope they do sort the fence out ok tomorrow, it is not nice being fenceless and hope your dryer is sorted out ok now.

Yes I really enjoyed the Sewing last night, we are lucky there have been quite a few good series lately. Wonder who will win the mini design show on Sunday?

Hicky

sounds like you are going to enjoy working your way through that fish delivery.

Hope the nurse can manage to sort that blood test out for you tomorrow. That is handy that the blood test result comes through in an instant.

Not a bad day today, bit windy but plenty of sun with a bit of cloud too. So cant complain, it meant I could sit in the garden. MrM went to my disabled friends house and cut her grass for her and took some stuff to the tip for her. Saves her a bit of money anyway, so he doesn't mind helping her out.

Its the last of my physio course tomorrow, then I just have to continue the exercises at home and decide what else to do. We get offerred a special gym course or the swimming pool. Think I'd prefer swimming as I don't like getting sweaty.

Have a good evening both x

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Nurse cam back, she had the machine and bits needed to do the blood test, only took a couple of minutes then the machine put the results on its small screen, tests were fine so i can go on 3 water tablets a day, 2 in the morning and 1 at 2pm, she said i shouldn't be taking one at night, but no-one told me i should take the 2nd one at 2pm, she said aren't you running to the loo all night, well, i do go a couple of times.

Had Salmon and chips for tea, slice a spud and cook it in the cast iron pan with oil, having salt fish in the morning with bacon and eggs, because Sunday i'm going to the cafΓ© for brekkie, full English.

Hope the exercises go ok Mollie, as you say, swimming probably better for you.

I went a walk around the block, did a bit in the garden, hope to make a loaf tomorrow, going to try it without using the mixer, worth a try.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Lovely sunny day here . Indifferent night for me ….but I went for a long walk this morning cos I needed to go to the cashpoint .Aside from that I washed the towels , (which dried quite nicely in the sun), hoovered , and done a little more weeding , but I came in again cos it got too hot ! I had some nice M&S poached salmon for lunch , and that’s me done for the day .I hope everyone else is enjoying their Saturday too.

Mollie , I hope your day is going well . Fence was sorted yesterday , but drier has packed up again ! So guy coming back on Monday . Luckily I’m now a dab hand at drying stuff on the airer ….and given the cost of electric nowadays , it’s probably no bad thing .By the way , Dame is onto us again See you for the Tiny Design final tomorrow .Hicky , glad the nurse came and sorted things out . Hopefully swapping the time of that tablet will help with the night time loo trips .I like salmon , but I’ve never had salt fish . Well done at the walk around the block ….I do find that I feel better for having a walk .

Well there’s nothing much on the tv tonight ….I don’t watch Eurovision .But I’m sure I’ll find something to watch .Have a good evening , and take care both of you.

thats good the nurse came and all went well.

Hope you enjoy your cooked brekkie out in the morning.

MrM, son, me and my friend went to the little local cafe for a cooked brekkie today. I had hash browns, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, beans and toast. Delicious.

How did the loaf come out? Hope you enjoyed it. What type did you make today?

You did well getting out for your walk, and doing a bit of gardening.   As the physio told me, we are made to move around.

Baz

glad you got the sunshine, we did too, so I sat outside and read my book and did my Sudoki puzzles. I also got 3 washloads dry.

It got a bit too hot here too, but I have an old mini sun umbrella that was my mums and MrM fixes it to my outdoor chair, its great as I can move it around with the sun.

Sorry your drier broke again, what a nusiance you have to get someone back to sort it again. But glad  you are managing to dry your washing ok now with the airer. I use mine a lot too, far cheaper than the drier.

Sorry you had an indifferent night, hope you sleep better tonight. Is it time to get that teddy cover off yet I wonder? I don't want to take mine off, then it goes chilly again.

Thats good the fence got sorted now.

Gosh the final of Tiny Design already, hope we get something else as good soon to watch, eg.pottery or woodwork. I loved both of those.

Oh dear at Dame tracking us down again.   Good job we didn't buy any villas on Friday, so hopefully that might shove her right off track, just as she thinks she has us sussed.

Watching "Britains Got Talent now", I enjoy this bit of light entertainment on a Saturday. Then me and MrM like that 1% quiz show thats on after, the presenter is good on it and we like having a bash at the questions as we go along.

I also enjoyed that show in the week where members of the public made a pudding for the Queen for her Jubilee. All 5 finalists puddings looked so yummy. The trifle won, I might have a go at making an easier version I saw of it.

Have a good evening both xxx

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Didnt make a loaf, organised a trip out for brekkie to the cafe, so good, spent 4+1/2 hrs catching up with a mate that used to work with me when testing equipment in factories, he lost his wife 4 years ago, we used to live very close in the previous 2 houses we had, he has a car which is handy, we have so much to talk about, he moved when his wife died, will be going to see his new place some time next week.

We did well in the Eurovision, apart from Ukraine we were next, a fantastic singer as well.

My lad abroad must be moving today, as had a message saying they were packed and waiting for a taxi.

I got up less in the night last night, i suppose the change of tablet times will help that.

The cleaners are due tomorrow, that will sort the floor out and work surfaces, this floor of laminate is a wood finish with millions of knots so i can't tell what is a knot and what is dirt.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  How are you both today ?Mixed day weatherwise, but it’s sunny at the moment . My washing machine guy has been, so fingers crossed this time …..that being said he didn’t charge me anything … I didn’t go for a walk this morning cos it was very wet first thing , and thunderstorms were forecast , so another very lazy day chez Baz ! All I’ve done is some washing , dusting , cleaned the kitchen , and put bin out ready for collection tomorrow . Because I wasn’t sure exactly when the washer guy was going to be here I just had some cold chicken and crisps for lunch . And that’s me done for the day .

Mollie , great result on tiny design challenge .I’ve not seen anything about pottery ,but at least we have Sewing ….and Bake Off Professionals starts next week . hope the drier is ok now, glad he didnt' charge you again.

It was a bit changeable here too today. Just got comfy in the garden and it started to drizzle, then started raining heavier, so didn't get ot sit out very long at all.

I too enjoyed Tiny show. As you say, at least we have sewing to watch. And hope Spain is ongoing for a long time, as I enjoy our trips there.

Hicky

how nice you met an old friend, and got to catch up and chat with him for so long.

Yes what a surprise we did so well in Eurovision. But what a nice chap our guy is and what a good song. If other circumstances had been different, he would have been the winner.

Wonder where your lad is heading now?

Glad the new meds seem to be helping you.

Good job you managed to find some cleaners you are happy with, as it must be so difficult with eyesight problems trying to clean things.

Didn't do much today, apart from paperwork.

Went to pet shop to get bunny some more food and a cardboard bunny house covered in seed for him to sit in and nibble. He loves that. Might stop him trying to get at my linen basked and pulling out the clothers to nibble. I seem to have an increasing number of garments with bunny teeth marks on them.

Have a good evening both xxx

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Cleaners came at 1pm, then No, #3 son came, his work schedule had been changed so he popped round, the cleaners do the work surfacesa and the floor and dusting as i can't really see dirt etc on anything, we then went to the local coop for a few bits which was handy.

My lad abroad is in San Juan Del SUR, he will stay there for a week then move on towards his destination, he's in a lovely place at the moment with a nice cafe close by.

I've got plenty of fruit again which is good, will make a loaf tomorrow, want to make more baked apples and pears, bought 2 packs of apples.

I got a wash load done after the cleaners went, got them dried and put away, then filled the dishwasher, washed and emptied and put away.

Oh, meant to say, ordered another coffee machine as the temperature colours on the one i have is too much bother, i cant tell what the setting is without a lot of messing about to work it out, have also odered another toaster as the new one sometimes seems to toast 1 side, have ordered another case for the mobile as the cleaner said the new one is Pink, it is supposed to be Rose Gold, anyway, have ordered a black one.

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Didn't do a lot today, made a loaf, it didn't rise as it should, so after it was baked i read the instructions on the yeast tin, oh dear, i had changed the yeast i used some time ago and bought dried active, this needs to be activated with sugar and warm water before its used, will make another loaf tomorrow.

The new coffee machine came, the water is operated by a lever, and you select hot or cold depending on which way you move the water lever, a lot easier for me, it has an LED on the side to tell you when the machine is ready, but it doesn't matter really as it won't dispense  hot water if it isn't ready anyway.

Had a piece of Salmon for tea.

Rang the gardener again, when i rang him last week he was on a cruise, they love their cruises, and he's away again Thursday for a friends' birthday, he might be able to pop in tomorrow.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Sunny today , but breezy . I couldn’t go for my walk because I was waiting for two parcels ….one of which still hasn’t arrived !So I’ve spent the morning doing housework….oh joy !But on the plus side , the young gardener girl has been and done the heavy weeding  ….so I can now just potter every now and then and keep any new  weeds down .Aside from that , I had lamb chop and chips for lunch .I hope everyone else is having a good Wednesday .

Update ….my second parcel arrived , so I did manage a short walk around the block this afternoon …blew a few cobwebs away .

Mollie , how are your knees today ?Did you have any storms yesterday ? We’ve done well with our buying again this week , eh .Don’t forget it’s Sewing tonight …and Ros and I will be watching Dinner Date before that too . Hicky , I hope the different yeast has worked today .Glad the cleaner came and sorted you out.Did your gardener come today ?

Well it’s Spain , Dinner Date , Sewing , and the Undateables for me tonight …so,a full evenings viewing .Have good one , and take care of yourselves .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz,

Weather ok, a change of plan for today, poking teeth with toothpick and an old filling came out, oh dear, didn't start the loaf as i wanted to ring the dentist at 9am, they said they could see me at 2:35 to pack the hole temporary, got a taxi there as didn't know if i would be able to walk that far, anyway, after the procedure i decided to walk home, when i checked on Google Maps its 1.1 mile, i stopped for a rest a couple of times, to me, it felt like 10 miles, i didn't take my walking stick or walking seat.

I was just boiling my tea, which was going to be corn on the cobs and some tomato, cheese, pickled onion and beetroot and some marinated Anchovies, when the gardener arrived, he de-weeded the tubs and raised beds, he couldn't stay as he had to get home as he was going away for a party to Majorca or somewhere for 5 days, he didn't even charge me.

I'm hoping to make a loaf tomorrow now, have got amazon delivery, my new toaster, another one, and codling moth traps, i have one but for the price i will put 3 out as the trees are spread out.

I'll have to plant the beetroot plants now, only 36.

Hicky

shame about your loaf, but glad you are pleased with your new coffee maker.

Hope the gardener can fit you in. He must be earning good money if he does cruises, they are not cheap.

That's nice your son popped round to see you.

Did you manage your little walk, or was the weather not so good?

Baz

that is good you managed to get your walk in after your parcel came.

Knees not too bad today but I have to focus to try and keep up the exercise routine, without overdoing it, as I don't want them getting worse again.

We haven't had any storms, but did have a couple of heavy showers this evening, poor doggie hates having to go out in the rain.

Luckily its stopped now.

Enjoyed our Spain show and the Sewing. How nice it is kiddie week next week.

Had a Morrisons delivery today as MrM working long hours this week , so couldn't be bothered getting a weeks shopping in, plus they had given me a Β£5 off voucher.

Goodnight both xxx

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Overcast and raining here today …and I had yet another bad night ! So no walk today , instead I stayed in , changed the bedding , washed ironed  , and did the duvet shuffle . Apart from that I’ve not done much , so another lazy day .I hope everyone else is having a good Friday , whatever you are up to.

Mollie , how are your knees today ? Its been a good buying week in Spain , eh .I hope you can join us for Gogglebox tonight . Hicky , glad the dentist could fit you in , even if it meant a long walk home . I hope your loaf turned out ok this time .

Well it’s GW and Gogglebox for me tonight . I hope you both have a good evening , whatever you are up to .Take care .

Evening Mollie & Baz.

The loaf failed again, did everything right with the yeast, tried the kneading by hand, but i might have let the dough rise too long as when i put it in the loaf tin to prove, it had run out of steam, oh dear.

I've ordered a set of Von Chef cast iron skillet/frying  pans, so easy to use and clean, haven't had time to plant the beetroots, had the darts last night and F1 today and all weekend.

My new toaster came, its got a warmer rack as well, nice, had fried cod with a micro baked spud and 2 fried eggs for tea, having salt fish for brekkie as i will be going to the cafe for brekkie sunday.

Thats bad news Baz having a bad night, i slept ok last night, got up once or twice i think but like to unlock the front outer door around 8am-ish then go back to bed for an hour or so.

This new coffee machine is easier for me as i only need to move a lever to the right for hot water, i have to move it back to stop the water flow though, It's easy to put water in as i have it by the tap on the drain board and my tap is a high one which swivels so i just turn it round and tuen the water on, it then fills the coffee water tank, so easy.

Glad you knee eased, not a lot you can do to help it apart from exercise really.

Hicky

Baz

sorry you had a bad night, and got no walk in either. Hopefully the weather was better today and you got your walk in.

Knees definately better than they were thanks and I have been invited for another NHS course, so will go on that, as it did help me.

Yes it was a brilliant buying week for us this week in Spain. Some lovely places.

Hicky

oh dear, what a shame the loaf failed again. It can be so tricky to get home loaf baking right.

I bet your Von Chefs will be nice, wonder what is the 1st thing you will cook with them?

Nice you have your darts and F1 to keep you occupied this weekend.

Those warmer racks on toasters can be useful if you get distracted. We used to have one on our other toaster.

Hope you enjoy your brekkie out tomorrow.

This morning we went for brekkie out too, it was lovely. This little roadside cafe we go to is so popular, old fashioned type. I had cooked brekkie and this cafe does fried bread and fried potatoes with it. Delicious. My friend and her 2 year old grandson came too, she had lava bread with her cooked brekkie. Not for me, didn't like the look of it. . (think its seaweed).

Sat in the garden as it was nice today ,no rain, bit of a cool breeze and cloudy on and off. A good drying day for all my washing though.

Time to watch BGT now.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Yes, the pans came, wanted to test on eggs but have none left, had last one with brekkie which was salt cod and grilled bacon and an egg done in old cast frying pan.

Managed to plant some of the beetroot plants, more to plant yet, been watching the F1 practice 3 & qualifying, will go to the cafΓ© for brekkie in the morning.

Put a 24hrs in A&E on, thought i had seen it, checked, and it was 2017.
