Afternoon Mollie and Hicky I hope everyone is having a good Monday . I had a lovely Mothers Day …..had both my kids together for the first time in 2 years ….it was a lovely surprise . I slept well last night ….tbh , what with one thing and another, I was totally shattered! I went for a long walk this morning , over 3k, did some washing , cleaned kitchen , put bins out ready for tomorrow , and did a bit of weeding in Mr Bs flowerbed . I had some nice pork steaks for lunch , and that’s me done for the day .

Mollie , I hope you had a good Mothers Day too .I won’t give away the doi result …I’ll just say I’m sorry you’re knee is making it awkward for you to sleep.I remember how difficult it was to sleep on my back when I did my ankle !I will see you for FIAB ….and hoping for a decent place to stay , and some aggro.Hicky , glad the podiatrist arrived ok . It’s still sunny here too, but like you say it’s cooler than of late . I think the rain is due to arrive on Wednesday , so best get any gardening jobs done today or tomorrow .Your watering thing sounds very swish …and complicated . I only got an outside tap put in last year ….that’s about as  technical as I can handle these days .

For tea i baked a potato and a cheddar cheese and Jalapeño & chilli bake, very tasty really, never had it before.

I did a bit more tidying in the garden, i've asked the cleaners to see if they can clean the Gazebo Polycarbonate sides, it gets condensation in the winter then the wind blows sand/dust which sticks, it's never been cleaned for 8 years, also the BBQ, i cleaned the baking plates but the unit needs a clean.

I've been sorting the 2 bottom draws in the kitchen freezer out, loads of lolly ices which i don't want, i'll see if i can give them away rather than scrap them.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky I hope everyone is having a good day . Horrible weather here , cold and wet ! I had a bad night, mostly , as I realised this morning , because I had the wrong bliddy pillow ! I must have mixed them up when I changed the pillowcases yesterday ! Consequently , I’ve not done much today , just cleaned the kitchen and bathroom , done the duvet shuffle , and two loads of washing . Aside from that I’ve been sat on my rear watching tv .

Mollie , I hope you’re having a good day . …and that it’s a bit warmer down there than it is up here !I’m going to miss our 6 o’clock slot next week .But I’ll see you     for FIAB today …hopefully it will be up to our exacting standards! Hicky , sounds like you’ve been busy .I hope your cleaners can sort out the gazebo sides for you though .

Sorry you didn't sleep well, hope sorting the pillow out solves that,

Cooler today so apart from a walk around the garden i stayed in, my black pudding stick came, have ordered a bread slicing aid so i can slice straight pieces to freeze and get the same thickness on them, i threw away the last bread slicing aid when i stopped making bread.

Have ordered another roll of cling film and a roll of baking parchment, as i use a lot of both.

Had Frosties for brekkie, then midday a cup of soup, for tea cooked 14 cocktail sausages and coated with honey and wholegrain mustard and sea salt, so tasty as well.

Hope Mollie is OK and daughter and son ok, and hubby of course.

I just look whats on each hour and select the best, if its a repeat i change again, such a pain, i only watch reality or documentaries anyway, sleep well.

oh dear, my post isn't here again. Think I closed my lappy down before pressing the "enter post" again. ..

but I did have a stressfull evening last night....son has been working long hours and dashing around lately, and he was sorting something on printer for work when we heard him yell out. He had walked into the door, and got a nasty deep bleeding gash in middle of forehead. So MrM had to take him to hospital, they didn't leave him waiting long, so he was home by 11pm. They glued his head, and put this criss cross dressing on that has to stay in place for a week. Hope it doesn't scar much as it is in a prominent position. He was still off to work before 6.30am this morning, and has rehearsals straight after work, so wont' be home till 10.30pm. Good job he enjoys his job.

Shame you had a bad night last night, bet you will be more careful now to check you have the correct pillows.

It certainly is not warmer here, I have dug out my winter woolies again. It was drier earlier, so tried to sit in garden for awhile, but it was far too cold. Did a bit of food shopping in Lidl as its nice food but cheap. Trying to save a bit on food, as my utilities are increasing my DD again, by £40 a month! So in 18 months its gone up from £89 a month to £220!

I am enjoying 4 In a Bed, what a shame it finishes this week.

Bad news not sending the post, that was awful for your lad getting a gash like that, it's easy done, done it myself.

Havent asked anyone if they want the lollies, they would soon start to melt so cant stay out of the freezer too long, not a fan of ice lollies, ice cream ones my limit.

I've got a night of darts tomorrow anyway, on BT channel 426, been eating garlic marinated Anchovies, so tasty.

I like those oven baked rolls, the Petit Pains ones, so crunchy the crust when baked.

Mollie , I’ve just read your post about your son .Is he ok now ?As you know my combined monthly  electric and gas has gone up to £252 ! I’d switch to Lidle or Aldi , but they don’t deliver …..and their nearest shops are about 10 miles away . But I have started swapping to *own brand* stuff . Thankfully my council tax and water only went up a couple of quid each! Glad you enjoyed the Crib last night .Hicky, did you have any luck with the gazebo cleaner ? How are your eyes doing these days ? Hope you enjoyed the darts ….and I used to love those Home Bake rolls too.

I watched the final of that singing show on itv and Ant and Dec last night, after watching Dinner Date with Baz.

Got my washer on, so hope it stays sunny. Son is working away all next week filming in North Wales, so want to make sure all his stuff has dried. I do have a tumble drier as a back up, but rarely use it now as it costs so much to run.

Went on my NHS Escape from Pain course last week, run by physios. It was very helpfull. I was exhausted after. Its run for people with osteoarthritis of knees/hips. They are going to not only teach us specific exercise for our problem, but also diet and medication advice.

Going to watch All Star Musicals and Ipcress Files tonight. Have been enjoying that drama.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Sunny , but with a very chill wind here today . ..but rain and wind forecast from tomorrow onwards ! I didn’t have a bad night , so I went for a walk first thing.  Apart from that I’ve changed the sheet , turned the duvet , cleaned kitchen , and dusted….I know how to live . I had some nice M&S poached salmon for lunch and now I’m slobbing out on the sofa watching tv .

Did washing and dried it and put away yesterday, finished the rest of the Chinese food i got Saturday, got plenty of food in stock anyway.

Have got another booster jab No. 4 Wednesday, the cleaners will be here Thursday, one of my lads coming Friday and another should be here Saturday, and maybe Sunday.

Have got World Darts on every day and night till Sunday, also got F1 from Friday.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  I hope everyone is having a good Tuesday . It was raining here first thing , although the sun is out at the moment , and it’s very chilly . I slept quite well last night , not that I’ve done much today .All I’ve done is the duvet shuffle , and two loads of washing ….aside from that I’ve just rescued the bin , had some nice lamb chops for lunch , and that’s me done for the day .

I went for brekkie with a friend and her 2 year old grandson this morning at local pub. Very nice as you can help yourself to cold food before the cooked stuff arrives. I love the fresh fruit, granola and yogurt they do. My friend's grandson doesn't speak much yet, but his fave word is "car".

Went to "end pain" class again yesterday. Very good again, special personalised exercise and hints about osteoarthritis.

Son sent me a photo of the seaview from the window of his holiday house, Very pretty.

Watching the dog show, then the new drama on C5.

Glad you slept ok Baz, i still get up a couple of times, mainly to cool down but i have a drink of my water bottle though.

12c today with strong winds and light rain, well, that what it said but didn't see any rain, took a walk around the garden but nothing needed doing.

Hope your knee is behaving Mollie, my lads knee is so painful, he has to have another op on it, the surgeon says the way he walks in giving him the pain, he needs to cut a wedge out of the bone and screw a plate in to keep it in position, it will change the weight distribution.

Had a lovely Bacon and tomato toasted sandwich for brekkie with a dressed crab midday and 2 large fillets of Plaice for tea.

Been watching the darts as well as gold mining, and opal mining, have ordered some flour as i'm going to start making Tiger bread as it is so good.

I am going for my 2nd booster jab in the morning, will have to get a taxi, will get them to wait to bring me back, it's not many miles away.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky Been blowing a gale here since yesterday evening ….and raining on and off ….so no walk for me today ….in fact I’ve been really lazy .All I’ve done all day is one load of washing and cleaned kitchen and bathroom . …but it’s looking sunny tomorrow so I’ll have to make up my step count then .I hope everyone else is being more productive than me.

Glad to see you are enjoying a nice varied menu, it was horrible when you were completely off your food.

Sorry to hear about your son's ongoing knee problem and that he needs another op. Hope it goes well and settles the problem now.

My physio course does seem to be helping me, as it helps me to realise when I have done enough and need to rest, against resting too much and not doing enough exercise every day. It is so hard to get the volume of execise right, but the physio helps me with this.

Let us know how your tiger bread comes out. I wonder if it is difficult to make? I do like tiger bread too.

Hope you feel ok after your booster. Hope it did not make you feel unwell?

It looked like we had wind and rain overnight, from what i saw in the garden, a light chair blown over and water in a tray.

I have been feeling a bit achy, but i have Osteoarthritis anyway, so not sure if It's that or the Jab, i stopped taking the capsules i was on as the science has no proof yet that they work, they don't give you them in hospital so no point really, like putting the rinse aid in the dishwasher when you use dishwasher tablets, no point as its in the tablets, and you don't need it anyway unless you are in a hard water area, which i am not.

A lovely day here today, went with my lad in his electric car to do my shopping in Sainsbury's filled a deep trolley, wow his car is so advanced, crazy, he can open it by touching a door handle as long as his mobile is in his pocket, it doesn't have a key.

Have spent a lot of time splitting the food time into portions to freeze, just had 2 small packs of Sushi, i really enjoy that, my food has taken over the whole of the American Fridge/Freezer, so easy to fill aren't they, i have also filled the Garage freezer now as well.

My lad from Cornwall will be here tomorrow before lunch, and he will come Sunday morning as well, so we could go out for brekkie or for lunch.

Didn't make the Tiger loaf with doing the shopping, and i found a Tiger lathe slice Tin on the bread aisle with a large sliced seeded Hovis so i bought those, i can freeze 4 rounds of each in the kitchen freezer and freeze the rest in the garage.

Have a good weekend anyway, i've got darts and F1 as well, plus my lads here, wow, great.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  I had a terrible night , and my ibs is playing up today, so I didn’t go for a walk ,even though it was sunny ! Consequently, all I’ve done is potter about the house all day …..but on the plus side , I caught sight of my Cyril beating a hasty retreat along my fence this morning …so he’s still around ….which means I’ve had to order some more squirrel food !

I dont know about the Glucosamine, have a feeling that hasn't been tested or approved as you don't get that in hospital either, they say you should take Vit-D tablets or capsules in the winter as you don't get much sun so they certainly won't do you any harm.

Weather ok here today, my No.#5 son came, later on we went to Parkgate for fish and chips, then ice cream, i went to Sainsbury's to get a new Nectar card as i can't get my points transferred to me till i get a card as i was just named on Mrs H's account but i have to open an account to get the points transferred, will sort that Monday,

My lad back in the morning so we can go out for brekkie, although i have loads of food, i would have to spend some time cooking it, he eats quite a bit so i would need to cook a lot of food, and for 2 of us, its too much like hard work.

I have ordered a big bread tin for my next baking as i threw all the others out, also ordered a new food mixer as i must have thrown that out as well, didn't think i would be doing any more baking, but i have so much free time now, i might as well.

My lad wants me to get a pond, a nice wood surround surface one and a solar fountain to go inside, all my lads always wanted one when they were young, but we never got one, so will probably get one for the summer.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  How are you both today? I had another disturbed night !But on the plus side my ibs has settled . But the day hasn’t gone that well  ! Firstly , when my Sainsbury shop arrived my Dettol laundry cleanser had leaked over some items ! They took them back and refunded me the items …but even so! Then the squirrel food I ordered on Saturday …which was supposed to arrive yesterday …failed to materialise !Cue having to contact the company and find out what had happened ! The customer service girl was very helpful and they are going to reorder it for delivery tomorrow …and are refunding me the delivery costs …but even so my Cyril is without grub . Aside from that it’s a good day .

Sorry you didn't sleep well again, glad the ibs has settled, that's a mess about the shopping, can do without that.

I got a taxi to the hospital for an ultrasound and an ECG, quite a few miles away as well, am ok, eating ok, got loads of food in any way.

My lad wants me to get a pond, i was looking at a hex one about 5ft on the wide side, not sure what solar pump to get they have 3 types, the company that supplies the pond has an electric pump which circulates the water, i won't have fish as i don't look after pets, i can't even look after plants or flowers in the house, only look after what i can eat.

Hope Mollie is having a good day and sleeping ok, and her knee is behaving.

At least you got out for a walk, i walked the garden, not much to do yet, picked out a couple of weeds that are trying to grow in the raised beds, lots of flowers on the fruit trees just hope some turn to fruit.

I've joined a new Dental Practice, a lot closer as my old one i have been with since a boy is so far away and now with no transport and using a taxi it is a expensive  do, haven't told the other place yet, will ring them tomorrow.

I am taking the Glucosamine again as i seem to be more achy since i stopped, have ordered a dearer pack as well to try these new ones, they are Seven Seas Joint care Supplements Max 60, it's a tablet and a capsule a day, with the other stuff you need as well.

Had a plate of Nachos for tea, so nice.

i forgot to submit a couple of posts again, am exhausted by bedtime lately, so tend to just close my lappy withouth checking what I have got open. The physio exerecises are hard work and leave me achy by evenings, but overall do seem to be helping the knee, so I must keep on with them.

We went to the chip shop on the seafront the other day, I had cheese onion rissole and chips, with lots of mayo, delicous.

Don't think I will bother going to seafront today as it will be so busy with holidaymakers and day trippers with weather being so warm and sunny. I will get on with my washing though, then have a nice sunbathe in the garden.

Been out today with No.#3 son, had a brekkie out then went to a garden centre for a look around, plant still too small for me, got some charcoal for the BBQ later in the year, then got a few things from Sainsbury's, lots of fruit anyway.

It's going to be very busy this weekend everywhere, roads café's etc, i'll probably stay in the garden anyway.

Quite a nice day here as well, went for a short walk to post a letter, had a nice brekkie of salt fish, bacon and eggs, the new loaf tin didnt arrive till tonight, too late to make bread, i did a wash load and dried it and put it all away, with waiting for the Amazon to arrive i didn't get in the garden, it gave delivery times but kept missing them, not sure why.

I now know the formula to make any recipe fit any loaf pan, fairly simple really, it was on a video from a Japanese lady, very clever, it uses the volume in sq cm's divided by 4 which gives a total volume of dough, that is the divided by the bakers' percentage which is the total of all the ingredients in grams added to the flour which is 100% so you get a figure between say 150 and 200, then the ingredient percentage is multiplied bby the flour figure to give you the quantity for the ingredients, i now have the figures for the new small loaf pan and the original one i bought, will try the small one first, water of course can be measured in ml or grams as 1 ml is equal to 1 gram.

For tea i just had 2 corn on the cob halves, then a noodle soup then an 2 egg batch, then some fruit 3 small figs and 2 small plums.

Sorry you didn't sleep too well, i only got up once, but i didn't get to bed till 1pm was watching 24hrs in A&E

Haven't heard from Mollie for a few days, i know her knee was a problem, hope she is ok, i was wondering how her daughter was as well, didn't know she had a phone problem.

Not a bad day, took a walk to the post box again as i had another letter to post back, warmish abd sunny, that does me.

Made a loaf yesterday using the new loaf tin, not very successful, tried the recipe for the Tiger Bread, not sure what happened but it didnt rise enough, it tasted nice though, have ordered seed to make seeded from now on, seed comes tomorrow, made a seedless one today, it seems ok, will post a pic to Mollie, only a small loaf, had some tonight, very nice as well, and tried it toasted, very nice.

I've got the cleaners here tomorrow, hoping they can do the gazebo as well, keep safe and enjoy the good weather

well my phone problem ended up being a phony phone problem, as I had forgotten I had take the charger out of the socket, which was why it wasn't charging. Poor MrM spent ages messing with other charges till we worked it out. oooppss. But at least its ok now.

Daughter stable at the moment thanks, she just gets really tired after not doing a lot. I hope the more treatments she has, that this improves.

HOpe your seeded bread turns out better than your tiger bread, but the loaf you did end up making looked a great success.

did the cleaners manage to do your gazebo as well? Hope so.

Weather lovely again today, went to brekkie with friend, her little grandson and my son at Harvester. Very nice. Then did lots of washing and sat out in the sun. Then did food shop at Lidl. Ready to sit down now.

I had more of my latest loaf, had cheese on toast, it makes nice toast, will be trying one of my original recipes, its one that one of my BIL uses from Suffolk, it usually works out fine, i have now got a recipe converted for the small loaf tin and the large, when my lad comes from Cornwall next time i want to make a large loaf with half seeded one side, should be easy enough really.

The window cleaners came, then the house cleaners, yes, they did a fantastic job of the Gazebo, it's like new.

I went for a walk around the adjacent cul-de-sac, i need to do more walking, so going to see if i can do it each day if i can.

I ordered a coffee machine, its a Dolce Gusto Genio S touch Pod Capsule coffee machine, i'm getting pods with it plus some others as well to try.

The instant coffee i use just isn't really tasty enough, i'm sure i had a machine some years ago as i remember having the racks with the pods, think it was a Tassimo or something.

Hope you all sleep well tonight, i've got a phone call coming at 09:05 to talk about the scan or ECG.

afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Another sunny day here ….and I slept a bit better last night , so I went for a walk first thing ….and I saw a Cyril. I’ve done a load of washing , hoovered, and done some weeding ….then I found two bliddy ants in the downstairs loo. Cue putting down ant bait , and lavender oil ! Ucking pains ! Aside from that I had a scammer  claiming they wanted to refund me a hundred quid on a non existent washing machine repair policy . He asked me if my postcode was blah blah, was my address blah blah , etc ….to which I answered no ….he was getting more and more exasperated ….so he asked me for my supposed new address . I said well if you have my policy ( which doesn’t exist ) you should know that ….at which point he put the phone down . The way I look at it is while I’m busy wasting his time he ain’t scamming some other poor devil ! I hope everyone else is having a good , ant and scam free day !

Hope Mollies knee is behaving, was chatting with her today on whatsapp.

Glad you slept better Baz, nothing worse than a ban night, the phone call was 20 minutes late so i asked him why, it was the previous one he called, couldn't find his list of medication, after asking me a dozen questions i said how was my heart scan, he said i am coming to that, he said my heart is pumping weak that's why i have swollen ankles, he said when i see them in the hospital on the 26th they will sort out some medication i will need to take.

I went a walk around the cul-de-sac again so pleased about that, the coffee maker came, also the pods, seed and soup powder, tried a coffee, very nice but couldn't see the leaflet as it was all colour so rang the company and a nice girl talked me through what i couldn't see which was fine.

Going out with No.#3 son in the morning for brekkie then going to a garden centre, might get some plants if they are big and strong enough.

I used to love keeping the scammers on the phone and Mrs H hated that, like you, i usually just let them talk, but a lot are automated, had one today, so i hang up on them as they cant hear you anyway, it was the call from Amazon, i like watching the new scam interceptors with Rav wilding and the scam breakers, so clever, beating them at their own game, didn't realise there are hundreds of call centres just set up in India and other countries to rob people.

I've got Premier League Darts tonight from Aberdeen, night 11 of 17, just every Thursday.

Tomorrow and all weekend i have F1 from Italy.

These scammers are such a nuisance. Glad you managed to waste some of their time. We have an answer machine on our home phone and I don't answer it unless they say who they are.

Good idea... think my daughter could do with being packed off to stay in a nice place in Spain for a bit of rest and sunshine.

Darts and F1 should keep you well entertained tv wise over the weekend.

Son is on stage this weekend, so I saw it last night and really enjoyed it.  His drama group had made all the costumes themselves (over 100) and the scenery. Taken them nearly 2 years.

My knees were so sore though because there was not much leg room, and it was so painfull today, I had to stay home and rest, so missed one of my physio sessions. Am hoping it is eased tomorrow because I am going to the play with my friend and her 2 grandchildren. Luckily we have seats at the front this time, so should have plenty of legroom.

Sat in garden for awhile this afternoon when it had warmed up. Son made some pizzas from plain pizza bases we got from Costco , very nice.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky . It was overcast and chilly here this morning , but the sun is out now . I went for a 3k walk first thing though , so that’s my exercise done for today .Apart from that I’ve done a large load of washing , cleaned kitchen and bathroom , and had some nice M&S poached salmon for lunch.Now I’m slobbed out on the sofa watching FIAB .I hope everyone else is having an enjoyable Saturday .

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky Sunny day here ….and quite warm when the breeze drops. I went for a long walk this morning cos I needed to go to the cash point , which is a 3k round trip . Aside from that , I’ve got the bins ready for collection tomorrow , dusted, cleaned kitchen , and done a small  amount of hand washing . My washing machine guy is coming in Wednesday afternoon, so hopefully my machine will be fixed soon . I’ve had some M&S bacon chops for lunch , and that’s me done for the day .I hope you are both  having a good Monday , whatever you are up to .

Good on you, a 3k walk Baz is good, not sure how far i could walk, it doesn't seem to bother my breathing but the aches and pains creep in which is annoying.

Hope your knee is feeling a bit better Mollie, it must restrict your movements so much.

Another nice day here today, got more plants planted, realised the beetroot needs to be repotted, plants too small to go out direct, had loads of 9cm pots so repotted 36, still more but i've got enough, planted the other 2 strips, they were sweetcorn, the ones i planted last year didnt bear any cobs.

Went and posted the ballot paper, made a seeded loaf, just had a crust toasted, so good with Irish butter.

Just put the dishwasher on, usually every couple of days.

My lad is thinking of going to Roatan Island off Honduras in the Caribbean next, when his latest visa expires at the end of May.

I'll have to see what the specialists say tomorrow at the hospital, about my heart problem, my lad is taking me as he's off fpr a couple of days.

Not a bad day here, saw the heart nurse yesterday, on a couple of meds to help the heart, they are going to monitor me, i have to weigh myself each morning to check o am not retaining too much water.

Having a walk each day, just around the block, maybe 300m, will try to go to the local Co-op store if things go ok.

Just been looking after the plants etc in the grdenm also cooking meals, not a lot to do, have a coffee in the man cave or watch tv.
