So at least you know you can see a doc if you go via the Health Centre nearby if this doc keeps messing you about, and you afe feeling uncomfy.

My friend came over and I gave her her fave cheese and tomato on toast for brekkie with a coffee.

It started to drizzle later, but I sitll managed some time outdoors.

Have an Iceland delivery tomorrow for a change, I was quite pleased with their delivery last time.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky .I took a while to get off to sleep last night , but slept quite well once I did . It’s a lovely sunny day here , so I managed a 3k walk , in between deliveries . Apart from that I’ve not really done a lot ….except answer the front door . But I have done a load of washing . ….and my little hand held hedge trimmer arrived, so I spent an hour trying to work out how to change the blade , and use it ! I think I’ve got the hang of it now , so that’s my job sorted for tomorrow. I hope everyone else is having a good day too .

Mollie , I apologise again for missing your text last night …..but George says to tell you hi .I hope your Iceland delivery arrived ok .My Sainsbury shop had lots of substitute yesterday .I’m guessing the supply chain is getting bad ….luckily I can pick up any slack with my Ocado/M&S shop at the weekend ! Hicky , how annoying that the doc call never came .But at least you can perhaps swap to the health centre . I’m sorry you are getting uncomfortable .

Evening Both, another quickie.

Went to see the Diabetics nurse, she was running late, she said i dont know why they sent you to be i dont understand most of what the blood results mean, i said they thought i might be diabetic, can you check my blood sugar, sure, in 1 minute done, 6.6 fine.

I checked with reception, they had no record of me making an appointment, even if it took 30 minutes to get through.

Anyway, i did learn a lot from her, very helpful nurse, and i can have my Frosties again.

I am back on Antibiotics (Trimethoprim) with an added Iron tablet, took a sample in this morning, its gone to the lab, good job i took a sample in, had a feeling something not right, to the pharmacy she said high priority, to me she said get them as soon as possible to start taking them, the sample has gone to the lab, hope they dont have to change them again.

Got an appointment at specsavers saturday so thats a start.

A doc is going to ring Monday about my blood, i put a note for 10am.

Luckily my Iceland was only missing bread rolls. Yes I have heard there are brexit food supply problems coming up due to lack of HGV drivers. I did notice that Sainsburys store had a lot of big gaps on the shelves/freezers the other day.Good job you have another back up delivery company. We pop into shops for missing stuff now, but come autumn , I will have a couple of different deliveries now.

MrM going to do some more work on my disabled friend's garden this afternoon, he is seeding her lawn as she had a lot of bare patches.

Daughter is so fed up of staying in bed so much, she has booked 5 nights in a B and B on the seafront not far away to give her a change of scenery. It is flat there so inbetween resting, when she is up to it, she can go down the seafront on her scooter and sit outside one of the many cafes.

It was raining 1st thing, but is brightening upnow, so will put the washing on and go sit in the garden awhile.

My Son #5 put the new socket to replace the one that broke on the dishwasher, he also took me out for a spin than we had fish and chips inParkgate, then he took me to Specsavers to sort out for new glasses, Varifocal, pick up in 2 weeks.

My breakfast taste so much better with a sprinkle of sugar.

Got to order 2 pull cords for the bathroom, so we can move the switches from outside as they are behind the door.

It's been an interesting day, my #4 Son has gone on holiday with the family as the children and Mrs needed a break, he did as well, he is now in a 5star hotel resort in San Jose Costa Rica, out of this world, wow, didn't know these places existed in the world.

i had cornflakes for brekkie, for tea i was having smoked salmon with soft cheese, the salmon was so salty could only eat a little, the soft cheese was Brie didn't like it having a shell so to speak, so turned to have a hard-boiled egg, oh dear, broke the shell and the egg fell our, part cooked, i had put hot water in the pan and assumed if i selected a low heat the water would soon get to simmer, set the turn off time to 30 minutes, have put 2 back on to cook.

I had a brie and cranberry wrap with salad for tea.

We went down the seafront today, it was busy with holidaymakers, so nice as everywhere was open. We had a nice ride down all of the seafront on the landtrain.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  A miserable, drizzly day here ….just like my mood . I had another bad night …..couldn’t get to sleep until about 2pm , then woke up every darn hour ! So I’ve not done a lot  today , just changed the sheets and pillowcases , washed and ironed . I hope your Tuesday is going better than mine .

Hicky , lovely that your son could get away , but  you must miss him ….and I thought Costa Rica was in the red Covid zone ?Whatever , I hope they are careful when they come home .

Not eaten a lot today, a shredded wheat, a sausage, some tinned toms, a hard-boiled egg, might get some cornflakes.

Rang the pharmacy attached to the nearer medical centre, they deliver, that will do me, they are sending me a form to fill in to enrol/register with them.

I haven't had a sleep today, so will be tired soon.

Yes daughter came with us on the train, but she did get uncomfy and tired at the end.

Friend came today with her 18 month old grandson and his dog, and I made her her fave cheese and tomato on toast with a coffee. I was done in after, helping her keep an eye on the 2 little mischiefs. They are very funny though, so it was nice to see them.   At least the weather was fine for us in the garden. I have been out most of the day, it was a bit chilly in the wind, and mainly grey , but at least it was dry.

Made myself a flat bread pizza for tea and had it with these, as all the family like them...

Had a vid call from My No#4 son is the place/café where they have brekkie in San Jose.

The hotels are deserted, hundreds of empty room, must be the same all over, i assume the guests would mainly com from the USA.

Mrs H is eating better than i am, i had some brekkie then a pork pie, Melton Mowbury, then a real fruit jelly and tonight just 1 round of bread with a whole slice of Drury lane ham with mustard, nice, so did well.

No#2 son will be here on the 29th, No#5 son in a couple of weeks, No#4 son is moving from San Jose (hotels are empty) further up the coast to Tamarindo in a couple of days, he's booked private transport to take them.

The phone changed over to digital voice today, i changed the phone from the normal socket to the one on the Hub 2 but got no dial tone, phone works ok though.

Time for another sleep/rest.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Another crap night for me ….but I did go out to post the card , and did a 4K walk .I have to say, I do feel better for having a walk . Aside from that , I’ve done a load of washing , cleaned the kitchen and bathrooms , and sorted out some bureaucratic stuff . Just the ironing to do now , and birds to feed , and  that’s me done for the day .I hope, whatever you are up to, you are having a good Thursday .

We are managing for now on our own, not easy mind.

When sons #2 & #5 come over its only for a day, #5 maybe 2 days, #4 halfway to Tamarindo now.

I had a report from a doc on the blood test, she waffled on, waste of time, got to take a water sample in Monday.

I did quite well on my eating today, very pleased, shopping coming Saturday i think.

Need some sleep, did the dishwasher and locked up.

Hi Mollie and Hicky Well  it’s been a different couple of days  ! I’m without broadband because a couple of weeks ago my provider …TalkTalk …suddenly sent me …totally unsolicited….a new router . I just ignored it because I am happy with my old  ( private ) router . Then I started getting emails/letter saying they are upgrading today  so I had to plug in their router , or lose my service ! Tbh that a) pushed my buttons , and b) I didn’t think they could just switch me off like that . But guess what , they can and they did !

Luckily I have data attached to my iPad Pro, and a large amount (  90gb ) of monthly data on my phone that I can hand off to my iPad mini ( like I did when I was in hospital ). So , before I commit to another broadband company ( TalkTalk can go whistle ) I am trying to find out how long my data will hold up . TBH I never watch films, and rarely videos , so my usage consists of the 3/4 hours a day I spend on the forum , a few minutes on fb , ordering my shopping etc , and emails , so I’m trying to workout if it’s worth signing up , not least because the thought of trying to workout how to connect a new router freaks me out .

It’s been pouring down all day here , so no walk for me today . I slept a bit better last night , in fact I fell asleep reading , trouble was it was on my phone , which ended up on the floor .Not done much , just some washing , cleaned kitchen , and anti bac’d two deliveries .  I hope your day is more exciting than mine .

Mollie, my lad was in a 5 star hotel in San Jose, he got private transport to take them on a 5 hour journey to Tamarindo, where he is now.

I don't think the urine test will be any better than the last, nothing seems to have changed, not happy about this at all.

Just had my tea, Sushi, yippee, it came with the shopping this afternoon.

Baz, the instructions will come with the new router, mainly move the cables from one to the other, unplug the old ones power and plug in the new router, dont think you have to change anything, move the wires 1 at a time from the old router to the new, into the same socket, to plug an internet wire out just press the little tab on the side, its what holds it in, same tab is on all ends of phone lines.

i had a round trip in the taxi, he had a card reader as i had requested, went to Devaney, had to wait in a queue for reception, got a urine bottle and no pourer, so was trying to wee in the little spout of the little bottle, the girl said she would put a label on for me, left the doc a little note, then went to Townfield health centre to redo the form i messed up, the girl filled it in this time, than came hom, taxi for the hour £18.80

My lad abroad has got his kiddies into day school, which is good as its hard to amuse 2 of them all day.

No word from anyone about the sample, its probably been sent away.

Not sure how long they plan staying in Tamarindo, it has great food, when they get bored they will move on.

Had the cleaners in so running late foodwise so ordered a delivery from the chippy.

Got the lads back tomorrow to sort the bathroom door, the shutters should get fitted Wednesday.

Daughter felt unwell yesterday, so had a day in bed, hardly ate at all, but then today a lot better and ate quite well and sat in the garden on her lounger. She is seeing the consultant on Wednesday to discuss treatent as she finishes her antbiotics then.

Got the result of the Monday sample, normal, nearly fainted, no idea how it can be normal when its painful to pass and red.

Yes, neither of us can drive now, she didn't have a good day today, had the shutter men in, fantastic, all finished, so good as well.

We are keeping the house for him, it is furnished now as well, we will look after it.

Shopping arrived at 6.30, Mrs H not well enough to bag it, asked driver, he took the crates in and emptied, the fridge stuff in the kitchen so i could easily put in fridge, the rest on the dining table for us.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky Another rough night for me ….but I went for a short walk first thing to blow away some cobwebs . Ended up holding someone’s dog for them  , because the other one had slipped it’s leash….and was misbehaving   I also found a home for the cat bed and scratching pole …..neighbours daughter has just got a kitten .

We too had  a lovely sunny day yesterday, but cooler and grey here today.  Managed to sit out for awhile though.

Yesterday we had a treat of a brekkie in seafront cafe.delicous, then a nice stroll on seafront, then had to go to Lidl for food shop, which I always find exhausting. Never mind, I had a nice sit down outside after.

Nearly all our sparrows have gone now we have stoped the food supply, which is a shame but it had to be done with that damn sparrowhawk, because he too had disappeared now, hopefully to pastures new, and not to return. Thanks to Yogi for the suggestion. Wonder how long we need to give it before we can start giving a little bird seed on the table again. This time we will place it right next to the bush though.

Good Morning, Mollie & Baz.

Hope you are both keeping well and sleeping ok.

I have a bit more energy in the morning, just had some shredded wheat to keep me going, been doing shopping list for delivery tomorrow, i think, Mrs H does it on her phone.

Gardener coming this afternoon, it is in a dreadful mess, i had a look at the weekend, oh dear, the weeds are taller than me.

Mrs H has good and not so good days, she eats better than me, her new buggy lets her walk or sit and pull her to the kitchen ok, breathlessness being the main problem.

Haven't had the tv on since June or so, just cant be bothered watching it, i just feel so tired all the time.

My #5 Son is coming Friday, i have a list of jobs for him, it would be great if he could do them.

The bank holiday has put my getting sorted with the new surgery back a day, will ring them Thursday, want to get samples of water and blood for them.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Overcast , and very chilly here today . I didn’t sleep too badly last night ….so, as I have to stay in tomorrow for two deliveries, and I needed the cash point , I went for a walk first thing . Apart from that , I’ve been waiting in  for my washing machine guy , so I’ve cleaned the bathroom , done a load of washing and ironing , and rescued the bins .

Mollie, a stroll along the seafront sounds pure bliss .Glad the hawk seems to have decamped elsewhere….and hopefully moving the feeder will help..and the sparrows will return  .How is your daughter doing? Don’t forget it’s Zoo at 8 tonight .Hicky , I’m glad you are feeling a little bit better , and that Mrs H is managing to get around a bit . But it’s hardly surprising you feel so tired ….you’ve been on a physical and emotional rollercoaster over the last couple of months . Gardener only took 3 hours to get the place sorted, i am delighted, of course.

We made one boo boo, what looked like a very strong weed, with a very thick stem was standing very high, didn't recognize it at all, we left it then came back later to take another look, i thought it was growing from inside the centre watering ring, i decided that he should pull it up, wow, i had masses of roots so never came out of the ground much when the gardener said, it a raspberry, oh dear, we quickly put it back, whether it will survive after its disturbance we will have to see, hope it does, its one huge specimen if it does.

Oh forgot, downloaded the attendance allowance form, at 29 pages i wasnt going to print it and cant see me getting a look in, SIL said she did it for her mother, an awful job.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky . I had a better night , and had to post a birthday card this morning , so I went for a walk too . Weather isn’t great , overcast and chilly , but it’s brightening up a bit now . Apart from the walk , I’ve changed sheets , washed, ironed , and hoovered . I also had to go out and water the plants m cos although it’s not been great weather lately we’ve had no rain for a week! I hope you are both having a good day .

Yes these government forms are a nightmare to fill in, probably designed to put some of applying for what they are entitled to.

Friend came for brekkie in garden, tomatoes and cheese on toast, then we went to the book shop and I got another Sudoku book.

Nicer day today, we even got a bit of sun.
