Evening Mollie.

Hope they can get your daughter sorted when she gets to the right area of the hospital that she needs.

I think the wind eases a bit tomorrow as i need to put the recycle wheelie out and its not very heavy of course so it is liable to blow over.

We had sun most of the day when rain was forecast but it rianed just before as i could hear it on the window.

Yes, its a dish washer and a washing machine, o/h wanted both, she has taken both out and didconnected them both ready for the people.

I dont think the problems your son and daughter have come under the Covis radar do they? it effects the lungs, pheumonia maybe similar i suppose.

But if you had a virus they wouldnt give you antibiotics as they have no effect on a virus, antibiotics are for an infection, the virus caused the persons immune system to start attacking the body thats why most drugs had little effect and antibiotics didnt work.

I think if your Uni sone and yourself are having problems with the accounts stuff, is there an accountant you can contact for some help, you need to hear from the horses mouth really so you all understand.

I asked son earlier how his knee is on his private twitter we chat on, he hasnt come back yet, probably watching a film or something.

Only 4 deaths in the last 24hrs in the uk, thats a big drop.

Have a good evening, stay safe and sleep well.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  My Cyril squirrel is back He has been making short work of the birds fat balls !It was supposed to be a sunny day today ….but apart from a sunny start ….up til about 9.30 ….it’s rained most of the day !I had to cut my walk short ….only managed 2kms before it started to rain ! Still , it’s better than nothing I suppose .Apart from that , I actually slept well last night , so have been quite busy today . I’ve cleaned kitchen , emptied bins , washed , ironed , taking in my Sainsburys shopping delivery , fed birds and swept patio. I had M&S bacon chops for lunch , and that’s me done for the day .I hope everyone else is also having a good Wednesday .

Mollie , I hope your daughter continues to improve , but it must be awful not being able to be with her . Funny you should mention the antibiotics ……my ibs started after I had two lots of antibiotics for a water infection 5 years ago …..and I’m sure it’s not a coincidence . My stomach hasn’t really been the same since I took them….and I had no problems before that , so…… Hicky , how are your eyes doing? Has your new dishwasher got there yet ?

Well , it’s GBM and Sewing for me tonight ….so a good nights viewing .I hope you both have a good evening too . Take care .

Baz

Evening Baz.

Glad you slept ok thats great, strange weather isnt it, it said sunny hear then it lashed down with hail stonen then sun then it poured with rain, it was 11c but the wind has died down some to moderate.

Dont blame you cutting your walk short, you could easy slip in the rain.

The John Lewis truck came at 11am and the fellers fitted the new machines and tested them, took away the old ones.

At least you got your shopping, always nice to have more food in.

I'm at the eye clinic in the morning early for another injection, no option really so i just go with the flow,

I didnt do anything outside just had a wander around the garden and a sit in the summerhouse.

I do like the sound of those M&S bacon chops, we dont get a delivery from them though, will look into it.

My left eye can only see what i dont look at as it has no central vision, i can use it for walking, but cant read or anything with using it.

I had sausages on toast for brekkie and for tea made ham salad sandwiches.

The Darts returns tonight for 3 nights at day 10, its The Premier League.

I was watching a chess player last night on the computer, he was playing in the largest chess championship in the world, it started with 10,000 players playing online and the one i watch is called Eric Rosen, he posts hundreds of chess videos with tips etc, i notate a lot iof his games as trhey are so good for teaching me tricks.

Have a good evening stay safe and sleep well.

Hicky

Evening All.

Hope you all slept well, hope your daughter is getting good treatment Mollie, so worrying.

A cold start to the day with Hail stone, with 10c and some sun and rain showers, a fresh breeze, not nice really.

I was at the eye clinic early, was out by 10am, Mrs H took me and picked me up, got the floaters again, down to one now which is getting smaller.

Had some bacon on toast with cajun mix on it, so tasty, midday made a ham salad sandwich, for tea made a little curry and had donna meat and rice.

Just watching the darts tonight, got F1 from Spain this weekend starting tomorrow.

Didnt do anything in the garden as couldnt really see, nothing much to do.

Stopped having Decaf coffee as i saw a show and it said it doesnt help sleep so i tried sleep with normal coffee day and night and it made no difference, also it said eating cheese at night doesnt give you nightmares.

Enjoy your evening, stay safe and sleep well.

I enjoyed the Sewing and my time on the forum last night.   They are so talented those sewers.

at MrCyril coming back. Shame you had to cut your walk short, but even a bit of fresh air is good for you.

Hope you sleep well again tonight.

What a shame those antibiotics set off that IBS with you, I know you have to be careful what you eat now.

Hicky

glad to see you are still enjoying watching your chess and learning plenty of new tricks.

Odd weather here too, you can tell when the sun comes out, it is strong, yet there is still a spring chill in the air.

Yes I did read stomach problems can be connected with covid and by coincidence  I just read in a new Bloomberg article that they have researched 50,000 covid patients who were hospitalised and found out they were 50% more likely to have diabetes 20 weeks later. One was only 8 years old. They suggest covid afects the pancreas. My son and I were told that a strong virus like we had can often lead to pneumonia so that's we were given antibiotics for that.

thats good MrsH could take and fetch you to the eye clinic, makes it easier for you. Can you see those floaters, good job they are getting less now.

These decaf thing sounds odd then. So are they saying now ordinary coffee doesnt' keep you awake?

I have come here as a distraction to chat to 2 nice people to take my mind of daughter for awhile. I can't see me sleeping much tonight.

The MRI found an abscess, so she has to have an op tomorrow, and she feels quite poorly today. The antibiotics didnt' work to get rid of it, so they have to do this. I am , of course very worried, especially as I had a bleeding problem after an op. MrM and I went to the ward, to speak to the Nursing Sister, who was very helpful and listened to our concerns. She allowed me a quick visit to see daughter. Poor thing, covered in bruises from all the lines. The nurse said I could speak to her in the morning, Daughter can't eat and drink after midnight. I will ask if I can visit her after the op. The covid thing has died down now, but they still are restricting visitors to quick visits or just priority people.

Taking my magazine to bed now, expecting a restless night.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Mollie.

I'm 6 games ahead winning now, had a good run.

I am puzzled how a virus can give you an infection, as far as i know they never give antibiotics for a virus as it can have side effects if you dont have an infection, strange isnt it.

The floater has contracted a lot, another few hours i think it will disappear.

Yes, they said decaf had no effect on sleeping, and when i stopped the decaf it made no difference to my sleep.

Yes, it is very worrying, any Op is very serious, they are so clever these days, hope the op and daughter are ok, glad you could see her at last, it was worth going to the hospital.

Hope you can get some sleep, you dont want to be like a Zombi tomorrow.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Hope you are both having a reasonable  Friday . Much better day here chez Baz ….yesterday was horrendous !.The sun is shining , and I slept much better last night , so went for a 3k walk before breakfast . Aside from that ….my giant geranium plugs finally arrived ….and are planted in my pots ….and my bird food bins are due any minute . Apart from my walk , I’ve done a load of washing , dusted , fed birds , and cleaned kitchen . I had a nice piece of steak for lunch , and now I’m sat watching the election results .

Mollie , awwww your poor daughter .I’m not surprised you can’t sleep ….it would be bad enough without all the bliddy Covid stuff .I hope her op went well and that you can go and visit her today . Hang in there , I’m sure she is in good hands. I will pop back this evening to see if there any news Hicky , I’m glad your eye appointment went well yesterday, and I hope the floaters have cleared now. I have drunk decaf for many years now cos I was having bladder problems , which are made worse by caffeine . Are you watching the election coverage ?

Anyway, it’s Rick Stein , GBM , Gardeners World and Gogglebox for me tonight ….so a full evenings viewing. I hope you both have a peaceful evening . Take care both .

Baz

Evening Baz.

Mollie, hope your daughters op went ok and she can now recover from the op and soon go home.

Glad you slept ok and had a good day, I used to feed the birds at my last house but i couldnt keep up, they ate so much food and the squells went after it, they love meal worms so i bought big bags of it, yes they love the fat balls and seeds but the more you put out the more come, i had an automatic bird bath that got filled 4 times a day, they used to queue up on the fence to use it, the bird table was on the lawn, the seeds that fell when the birde were feeding grew so i had a mini wild flower bed around the base.

I ended up with flocks of starlings and pigeons, the word soon gets around.

Glad you got a walk in this morning, and that steak sounds lovely.

It was 11c today with sunny intervals and a moderate breeze.

I had a black pud and egg on a toasted sandwich for brekkie and a fried a nice piece of cod for tea.

The shopping from Sainsburys came at midday that was was good.

I have another week untill i might get my grafted veg plants, cant wait.

I'll keep an eye on the growth of the greenhouse vine, i have stopped all the growth of the shoots, i stopped them all after 4 leaves after the fruit so the plant can concentrate on the fruit, but the shoots creat branches so i have to keep checking.

The floaters stopped overnight so back to normal, yes, watching the election results, i think the problem for Labour is Kier Starmer, but he wont go will he, he's like Corbyn, thinks he is great, what has he done in 12 months, exactly nothing but pull down the Tories, but it didnt work and they havent even got a policy.

Did they tell you the caffeine was causing you a problem? strange, i would have thought if it did it would have effected millions of mpeople, there shouldnt be any caffeine in the water by the time it gets to your bladder.

I like Risk Stein, Gardeners world is mostly flowers, no thanks, gogglebox, they just act it out for the camers'a too fake for me.

I've got darts tonight on tv and had F1 practices today, more tomorrow, twice.

Have a good evening, stay safe and sleep well.

Hicky

Hi both xxx

just to let you know daughter's op went well. I think I drove the nurses mad keep asking them to watch her closely as she has  a bleeding problem. Nurses were lovely with me and her though. They did let me visit her yesterday and today for an hour now covid has reduced so well. Had to wear mask, gloves, apron. She had an abcess and they think she has crohns. Poor thing, She had lots of bruises and tubes and hard for her to talk much.

I am exhausted with stress and lack of sleep. Its so hard when you don't know what is going on as yuo can't be with someone who needs an op. Hopefully now they have dealt with the abcess, she will quickly improve, with the right meds too.

Baz

you did well walking 3 kms, and all those other jobs too.Sorry you had a bad day yesterday though. HOpe you sleep ok today.

Hicky

glad your floaters are ok now. Another 6 chess wins, well done.

your darts and f1 will keep you busy.

Daughter just texted me and said she managed to eat a tuna sandwich, that is good as she hasn't eaten for a few days now.

Gogglebox time now.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Mollie.

Thanks for popping in and updating us, so pleased the op went well and they let you in to see her, such a worrying time.

Crohns is not nice at all, a friend of mine had it, she could manage it but it doesnt go away.

So glad your daughter managed a sandwich thats a start to getting back on her feet, they will look after her well thats one thing i know, i have every confidence in the staff.

My lad handed in his notice as he has to give them a months notice, he told them he was taking a career break, his Mrs handed hers in, they didnt want her to leave, they offered her a rise and another years maternity to stay, she is a project manager and extremely clever.

They are hoping to go to the Pacific Island of Raratonga in the Cook islands for 6 months so he can get out of Oz to save on Tax.

I will send you the picture of the island when your daughter is home.

Try and get some sleep, hope daughter will be home soon.

Hicky

Mollie ….I’m glad you’re daughters op went ok , and that they let you visit .I’m sorry they think it’s crohns …..as you know my daughter also has it ….but they have lots of treatments for it these days , and once they find a suitable drug….there are several …. it can be kept under control .Hicky , how wonderful for son and DIL to be able to go to Rarotonga for 6 months …..in the present climate it sounds like total bliss .

Anyway , I only popped in briefly to see if there was any news on the op. I hope you both have a good evening ….oh and I thought Gogglebox was hilarious last night . Take care .

Baz

Evening Baz.

I hope Mollie pops in with an update on how her daughter is and if she has any news when she might be allowed home, Yes, they really have some wonderful drugs that can pinpoint a particular area of the body.

It was raining this morning and will be later, 16c with a moderate breeze,

Had my usual for Saturday brekkie and for tea did Chili con carni with pasta.

Did a bit of tidying in the greenhouse as i have tons of items hanging on hooks, i made rows of cord along the sides by the door as i like to see everything on view, so easy to find stuff.

The other day my lad in Oz heard they had to wear n=masks if they went out for 3 days, isn't that strange, he's hoping to be able to leave Oz for the 6 months, so he doesn't have to pay the Oz tax which could cost him a lot, the Island he wants to go to is a 6 hr flight from Sydney.

I won again in chess playing my lad in Manchester online, that mean i'm up by 7 games now, I got an answer about his knee, he can walk a small distance without a stick, so that's something.

Have a good evening, stay safe and sleep well.

Hicky

Evening All.

Hope your daughter is ok and being looked after if she's still in the hospital.

Hope you all slept best you could and had a good Sunday.

16c today but just cloud and a moderate breeze, not ideal for me, my watering system still turned off.

The new machines are working ok, but the dishwasher uses about 0.9kwh for each time which is  about 20p a time.

Didn't do much as the F1 race was on this afternoon, just had a walk around the garden to see all was ok.

Just watching scrap Kings for now, will look what's on later.

Have a good evening, stay safe and sleep well.

I too thought Gogglebox was hilarious, my fave bit being Jenny and the Line of Duty notebook.

thanks for the info about Crohns as we know nothing about it, other than they are going to  try and sort some meds out for her when they get more blood test results.

Hicky

how nice your son has given his notice in and can take 6 months break with his family.

Look forward to seeing the photo of the island.

That rule for 3 day nmasks in unusual. Will he be allowed to do the 6 hours flight, I thought they had only opened between them and New Zealand?

Saw daughter yesterday, but she felt too rough for me to visit her today. We had a worrying night with her last night, so hardly any sleep for me again. Nurses thought she'd need another op overnight, but when the surgeon eventually got to see her this morning, he said she didn't as they were a new type of stiches and were ok. She is weepy today ,not surprising as she is in some pain, nauseous and they woke her every hour overnight to check her wound.

Off to ring the nurse now before bed.

Evening Mollie.

Thanks for popping in, such a worrying time for you, hope she will be ok now when they get more blood tests done and get her the correct meds.

At least you managed to see her yesterday, that's better than not seeing her, i'm sure she will be well looked after.

He is hoping he can get to this island, its so small and not many people on it, i don't know what position he is in yet anyway.

https://cookislands.travel/islands/rarotonga

I will send you the island, i looked it up on Google, so small.

You really need to get some sleep, can you get some in the day somehow.

Try to get some sleep tonight and stay safe.

Hi Mollie, I hope you don’t mind me popping in.

I read your post about your daughter being diagnosed with Crohns.
When I was diagnosed 21 years ago, I hadn’t even heard of Crohns and was in desperate need of information.
The Inflammatory Bowel Disease nurse put me onto an organisation/charity called the National Association for Colitis and Crohns which has since rebranded into Crohnsandcolitis.org. You can join for Β£15 a year and they send you lots of information and something called a β€œCan’t Wait” card, which can be very useful if your daughter ever needs to queue jump in public toilets, on planes etc. Even if your daughter doesn’t want to join, the website is full of useful information.

Afternoon Mollie , Hicky ( and Yogi Funny old day weather wise ….one minute it’s sunny , the next it’s pouring with rain ….more like April ! I slept better last night ….I’m sure the walking is helping ….so I did three and a half kms this morning .Apart from that I’ve hoovered, dusted , done a load of washing , and fed the birds . I wasn’t very hungry , so just had some cold meat and new potatoes for lunch . Just the bins to put out later . I hope you are all having a good Monday , whatever you are up to.

Mollie , I’m sorry your daughter is still having such a bad time ….I know you must be so worried . But I hope the link that Yogi left you will give you the information you need ….and that your daughter has a better day today, and that you get to visit her  . Hicky , I agree, the mask thing is strange ….but I guess there must be a good reason …..it’s a funny old world these days eh .I presume he will have to quarantine when he gets back too ? What are the instances-of Covid on the islands ?

Anyway , once again , I hope your daughter feels a bit better today Mollie ….take care both of you .

Baz

Evening Baz & Yogi.

Thanks for posting info on Crohn's for Mollie Yogi.

Hope Mollie's daughter can get home soon so worrying when you can't be with her.

Glad you slept a bit better, yes, the walking will help as long as you don't do too much.

It wasn't too bad here, rain, cloud & sun 16c, crazy weather, i had a delivery of 3 cucumber plants, i have planted 2 in a greenhouse 60L tub and will give one to the gardener. i thought all the grafted veg would come together, but they must be sending out when ready, they are in 9 cm pots, but the growth has been laid down to go in the transport container.

Had sausages and tomatoes for brekkie, for tea had a cheese Pizza, i did make a sandwich at 2pm, 2 rounds of Hovis seed bread, buttered, a layer of ham with a layer of mustard, a layer of tomato, a layer of cucumber, a layer of salad cream then a layer of ready salted crisps then a layer of lettuce then a layer of salad cream, put the other round of bread on top and press down to make it manageable.
I didn't cut it in half as most of the filling would have fallen out, but it was rather nice.
And i get to finish off the crisps as well.

If my lad and his family can go to Rarotonga it would be for 6 months as he needs to be out of Oz for that long to not get taxed as normal, i don't think there are any cases on the Island, i don't know though, he might even go to New Zealand, as long as he gets out it doesn't matter where he goes.

Have a good evening, stay safe and sleep well.

Aaaww Yogi,

thank you so much for your very helpful information.

When my daughter gets over the op and comes home, that will be very useful, and the organisation sounds ideal for her to join.

If you don't mind, I am sure there is a lot of questions you could answer that we may come across as we go along, as you have been living with it for 21 years now.

thanks again.xxx

M

Baz

glad to see you are doing so well with your walking now, your ankle must be getting stronger by the day.

As Hicky says, don't overdo it though, as you do a lot of house jobs too.

Thanks for pointing Yogi in my direction about the Crohns info.

Hicky

Gosh that islands looks gorgeous. What a nice place to go to live in for 6 months. If covid finally clears off, perhaps you will have chance to vist them there?

That was certainly a mix for a sandwich. I love salad cream too , makes food so tasty.

I didn't see daugther today as she is too tired to chat, but when she was weepy last night, she asked for a family friend to visit her. So she stayed for an hour, and it was a nice change for daughter to have someone different to chat to. The friend only stayed an hour because daughter couldn't keep her eyes open. Nurse told me she might come home tomorrow but she is very weak and we will need to care for her and help her shower twice a day to keep the wound clean. I am done in with the stress of phoning the hosptial, and running to and fro the shops trying to get daughter what she needs, eg nighties, light snacks as she feels nauseous, and theres a lot of walking involved at the hospital.

Goodnight all xxx

M

Evening Mollie.

Thanks for popping in, you must be worn out, hope you can get some sleep.

I can't see us visiting Rarotonga Island myself this year, that's if they go, it depends on what countries allow flights in and when.

Your daughter will be on all sorts of medication, that will probably make her tired as she needs so much rest to heal the operation.

I've never heard of anyone showering twice a day to keep a wound clean, unless it is weeping, normally they put a dressing on that comes off when the wound has healed, and they take the stitches out if they are the gut type.

I hope she can come out tomorrow or Wednesday, I'm sure she would much rather be at home, hospital is fine as long as you aren't ill.

Have a good evening, stay safe and sleep well.

I’d be happy to help in any way I can, Mollie

I can ask Baz to set up a PM for the three of us (I’m not a VIP so can’t start new PMs) and you can ask us any questions you have. There may be some things you wouldn’t want to discuss on the open forum.

Sending get well wishes to your daughter and hope she is soon back home with you.

yes its hard to tell how the rules for foreign travel are going to pan out. Let's hope it won't be too long until you can meet with your family now.

The stiches are a new type that dont' dissolve, but stay in the body, they even confused the nursing staff. The surgeon told them these type are the best for this type of op. She can't have it dressed because of where it is located in the body, thus the reason for the showers.

I just rang and the nurse said she may be allowed home today but the doctors need to clear it first, then prepare her meds. She will have to be on antibiotics at least 3 months they have told her.

So off to get her clean sheets prepared. MrM has been helping me sterilise the bathroom and her bedroom, luckily she can have the bathroom to herself as we have another bathroom with shower.

Have a good day all xxx

M

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Another day of sunshine and showers ! I had another bad night …..no idea why . I did go for a walk , but only did two and a half kms today cos it looked like rain . Aside from that I’ve cleaned bathroom and kitchen , did some washing , rescued the bins and fed the birds . I had a couple of pork steaks for lunch and that’s me done for the day . I was going to tackle the duvet , but ran out of steam ….so that will have to wait until tomorrow .I won’t be able to go for my walk tomorrow anyway , cos I’m expecting a parcel  β€¦.and my shopping delivery .

Mollie , I hope your daughter is discharged today ….I know you will feel better once she’s home ….and so will she .I’ve never heard of those type of stitches ….mine were the type that gradually fell off.Anyway , I’ll keep everything crossed that the day goes well for you …and Yogi really is the expert .Hicky , your sandwich sounds yummy I hope your son can find a safe haven for the 6 months ….I think Covid is more under control down there than it is here .

Anyway , it’s Jewellery for me tonight ….then I’m going to watch a bbc4 programme about DDay spies .Have good evening both …and take care .

Baz

Evening Baz.

Sorry to hear you didn't sleep well, wonder why, i find it hard to get to sleep as i don't get tired at night, but do in the afternoon, I usually wake between 4 and 6, have a wee then sleep till about 8 to 10am, so sleep in 4 hr stints which is ok.

Hope Mollie's daughter will be able to go home today or tomorrow, as long as she is well enough.

It was 15c today with rain cloud, sun and thunder, the lot, but a moderate breeze.

Had an egg on toasted sandwich for brekkie, later had an orange and 2 bananas, for tea had a Korean seafood soup with added mushroom and Chorizo.

Didn't do anything outside, did some more sorting in the garage, it has lots of stuff that needs sorting out into keep, recycle or to go in the skip when we get one, Mrs H is probably waiting for the new shutters to be fitted, so my blinds can go in the skip as well.

Yes, certainly new idea with the stitches, not sure why they are using those, must be a reason, the dissolvable stitches rely on the fact that the wound will be healed before the stitches dissolve, but if they aren't sure they wouldn't be able to use them.

Have a good evening, stay safe and sleep well.

Hicky

Evening All.

Hope your daughter is home again Mollie, and also hope you managed to get some sleep.

Another strange weather day, 14c with light rain showers at times, a gentle breeze.

Had a nice bacon on toast for brekkie, with an egg, during the day it was a banana in the summerhouse with a coffee, for tea, a Korean seafood noodle soup then a small portion of chicken curry with some rice that was frozen with it in the container, just had some thin slices of Chorizo, love that.

Just did some weeding in the raised beds as it was quite nice in the garden.

My shopping list was entered by Mrs H into the Sainsbury's order.

I have put the rubbish wheelie bin out for the morning.

Haven't looked what's on TV tonight, if nothing i will go to the recordings.

Enjoy your evening, stay safe and sleep well.

Hicky

Baz

hope you have a better night tonight, and your parcel and shopping turned up ok.

Hope to join Sewing Bee after giving daughter her 9pm meds.

Hicky

sounds like your garage has been keeping you busy.

Daughter came home yesterday. But she is extremely weak and nauseous, the paracetomol is helping the pain. A real struggle for her to get out of bed and in the bathroom for her showers. I am having to write when she has taken her meds as she is on so many, and I had to get up twice in the night with her , so my brain is not working too good. Trying to encourage her to  drink water, the only food she has managed is some rice crispies, but at least she is home now.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Good Evening Mollie.

So glad your daughter managed to get home, it isn't going to be easy looking after her though, but it's better for her that you are with her.

It is very important that she tries to drink, any drink is better than non, is she able to drink milk, she probably needs full fat maybe as it's an alkali.

Has the hospital advised on what food is best for her at this stage as you don't want to inflame the problem.

Hope you can get some sleep tonight and your daughter has a peaceful pain free night.

Hicky

Evening Baz, Mollie & All.

Hope everyone slept well last night, and your sick daughter is managing with her meds and can eat & drink ok to get stronger.

It was 13c with sun, cloud and rain showers with a gentle breeze.

Had a sausage toasted sandwich for brekkie, and for tea had fried chorizo, bacon and Haggis for a change.

Just did some work on the greenhouse vine, fastening the shoots to support wires and trying to control the growth as it is so vigorous.

Food delivery not till tomorrow from Sainsbury's but have enough anyway.

Have a good evening, stay safe and sleep well.

Forgot to mention, my lad i play online chess with is Moving to Cornwall tonight, i think his Mrs want to be by the surf etc for the summer, he can work from home and a flight back to Manchester is only Β£97 for a single.

By the way , Yogi left you some info in the pm Don’t worry about Sewing ….I realised where you were ….I wasn’t sure the right one went though !Hicky , your tea sounded yummy …..funnily enough I’ve ordered some black pudding with my M&S shop tomorrow . I love it but I’ve not had any since my ibs kicked off 5 years ago ….but thought I’d give it a whirl and see what happens .I hope your sons move went ok …..I’d love to live in Cornwall …it’s a lovely county .

Evening Baz.

Hope your daughter Mollie is managing to get some sleep and food and drink she so badly needs, and also yourself.

Any increase in sleep is a bonus, and a 3.5 km walk is good going, bet the pork chops tasted good.

It didn't rain here either we had 15c with cloud and sun with a gentle breeze. I can live with that.

I had an egg roll for brekkie, midday it was a banana, shopping arrived midday as well.

Did some weeding in the big tubs, i keep them covered with mesh which i take off and get rid of any growth.

For tea i got a beef casserole portion from the garage to heat up, got more on my shopping than i put down as o/h buys stuff that's on offer for me.

I didn't get black pud this week, i try to mix the meals up, not so easy though, i now have extra rations, smoked salmon, corned beef, more eggs, Scampi, kippers.

My lad hasn't got back to me since he left for his trip last night, he was driving through the night because of traffic at any other time, he remembers that when he was small we all went to Cornwall for a holiday in the summer and stayed in a Chalet, he even remembered it was No. 191.

Not sure what is on the tv tonight, just watching money for nothing.

Had a vid call on Wednesday from Oz, so good to see them all.

Have a good evening, stay safe and sleep well.

Just heard from my Lad and his move to Cornwall, he has just ordered a Chinese Banquet to take his mind of his swollen knee.

He drove a Transit van down with some stuff.

This was his Chinese Banquet: Sweet and sour chicken, beef and black bean, veg chopsuey, barbecue spare ribs, chicken fried rice, prawn Kung po, prawn crackers

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Hope you got some sleep last night, and hope daughter is improving and drinking and eating.

It was only 13c here with rain, cloud and sun on and off with a gentle breeze.

Mrs H not feeling too good, her blood sugar level seems high, checked her BP and pulse and blood oxygen, they seem ok and her blow pressure, a lot better than mine, mine is 255, hers is 400.

Had the usual Saturday brekkie, changing next week as i am consuming far too much salt.

As i am setting up the card payment on the 15th of each month i can select the day to pay it so have set it to be paid on the 19th ready for the due date of the 20th, i think this system should work, it should stop me missing a payment, although they didn't charge me the Β£12 again.

For tea made a Korean seafood noodle soup, so good.

Not sure what's on tv tonight, might be watching recordings.

Have a good evening, stay safe and sleep well.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky Momentous day chez Baz ….I went shopping ….first time in over a year ….well I went into one shop ….but at least it’s a start .Aside from that I slept quite well , and managed a 2.5kms walk . I’ve also caught up on the washing , dusted, cleaned kitchen, fed birds and had a piece of haddock and jersey royals for lunch  β€¦so not a bad day all in all. I hope everyone else is having good Sunday too .

Mollie , I hope everything is going well with you and your daughter . Hicky , I hope Mrs H is feeling better today . Those BPs sound very high I didn’t realise the son that had moved to Cornwall was the same one that had injured his knee …..how is it now ….is it healing better ?

I will be watching the nature programme on bbc 2 at 8 tonight ….then I think it will be Grand Designs. I hope you both have a good evening , whatever you are up to ….and as always , take care both .

Evening Baz & Mollie.

Mollie, hope your daughter is ok, getting some sleep and eating/drinking ok and has pain control if she is in need of it.

Glad you slept better Baz, you did well with a walk, shopping, good going that.

Haddock & Jersey Royals make a good meal.

It was 14c here today, it said thundery showers, but they never came, not so far anyway.

I had soft-boiled eggs for brekkie and for tea had a soup from the Ainsley's packs i ordered last night, they arrived by midday, made 2 rather nice ham salad sandwiches with salad cream.

I did more tidying outside and planted some peas in small pots to be transplanted out when grown, i planted peas out ages ago but none of them grew.

Mrs H is just the same, no improvement which is a worry, she might have to have a word with the doctor tomorrow, she's not working next week anyway.

My lad in Cornwall got a train to the beach with his lad, his Mrs was working she is a dance and singing teacher, his lad was drawing pictures in the sand with his crutch while he sat drinking coffee and eating ice cream on the beach tables, his knee is a lot better than after the first op, i suppose it will take a good while before he is back to normal.

I will record that nature program, watching Bargain loving Brits, so good, then i'll look what is on.

Just remembered, my Lad in Oz will have to go to New Zealand as nowhere else is open, he has given notice on the apartment/flat he is in, so he has to be out in 5 weeks.

both xxx

hope you are both well.

sorry i haven't been around for awhile, but daughter been struggling, and I am not getting a lot of sleep. Ended up calling "Out of hours GP" at noon yesterday and they eventually sent her to A and E, we were 4 and half hours at hospital waiting.  I stayed with her until 1am in the A and E waiting room until she eventually got to see the surgeon there. She was crying in discomfort in a wheelchair in the A and E public waiting room , sick, dizzy, on and off for hours. But they still insisted there was nowhere for her to lie down, which was all she was asking for, they just gave her a sick bowl. It was so painfull for her sitting upright for hours. She'd tried lying over a few chairs, but it was too uncomfy, the canulla they put in her arm was bleeding too. In the end MrM got a blanket out of the car and she lay on the floor in A and E until they called her in.  I got to bed at 4am. Thankfully she is home again now and resting.

Will go and read back now and will post if I can keep my eyes open long enough.
