that's good you managed to get in the garden for a few hours. We had a bit of drizzle, but nothing much.

Sounds like you had a good varied menu today.

We had pizza, chips and salad for tea, and the last of the cinnamon bakes from last night.

I too am watching The Voice now and watched The Mask. Shame the Mask finishes next week as I am really enjoying it.

My son is much improved today thankfully, and has eaten a few small portions of food. So the doc's medication has definitely helped. I didnt' have Rennies in because no one has ever had a need before. Don't know why he suddenly got this. He is very frustrated over covid though because he can't do his usual jobs in the theatre/school/film extra, nor even go to his drama club, so I wondered if that bought it on. He thrives on being busy normally.

Went for our usual walk down the lane. Only 1 of the 5 carthorses were out in the field today, the other 4 were in their house. In their field we often see a couple of ducks, a brown one and a white one and a few of these birds called egrets...

They peck around on the muddy field the horses have churned up.

Hope Baz had a good day and slept well.

Goodnight both xxx

Evening Mollie.

The forecast for the next couple of weeks says its pretty cold but dry so i should be ok to get some work done in the garden, have got the new watering system to do and plant the trees etc.

I enjoyed the masked singer and the voice, of course they get more fussy the more they have on their team.

Glad your lad has improved, he really needs to eat of course, hope he is back to normal soon, he must miss the interaction from his normal life, this covid sure has made life hard.

Glad you could get out to the lane, only one carthorse was out because they saw you coming and not bringing them food.

They egrets are nice, i suppose they must be able to find some insects or somthing in the churned up area as you say.

Have a good evening and a good sunday, stay safe and sleep well.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky . Grey, and cold here .....but no snow so far .  I had a mediocre night , and am having a really lazy day . I’ve done a load of washing , and cleaned kitchen .....and apart from that I’ve spend the day catching up on programmes I saved on the radio , and reading .  ....then I had some yummy M&S bacon chops for lunch ....and now I’m lazing about in the sofa watching Brokenwood ...like I said , a VERY lazy day chez Baz . I hope you are both having an enjoyable Sunday , whatever you are doing . By the way , Billie Faiers has also had to pull out due to an accident ....at this rate it will be a case of the last person standing....or skating ...will be the winner !

Mollie , sorry to hear about your son illness  .....it probably is down to stress....Bliddy Covid I  hope you are well and ready for our marathon viewing tonight .Luckily , there is no overlap between DOI and Pottery again. Wow , that egret is beautiful . Hicky , hope you’re not snowed in up there . I can understand you chomping at the bit to get out in the garden .....I’ve been tempted to go out and pull a few weeds , but it’s too cold and wet at the moment , so.....

Well , I’m ready for a good nights viewing Have a good evening , and stay safe both .

that's nice you had a relaxed lazy Sunday and an enjoyable lunch.

As you say, they are dropping like flies this year in DOI.

Thank goodness there is no gap between pottery and DOI tonight, drives me mad when they do that.

Thats good you have a  pair of robins. We have a robin too, he is the boss over the sparrows, and scares them off the birdtable  when he wants to get on there. But of course on birdwatch weekend, he didnt' show, neither did the ring necked doves, which we often get. That would be nice if your robins do nest.

Hicky

thats good it is a dry forecast so you can get out in the fresh air.

Wrap up warm though as we are in for a cold spell from the Artic.

When we went for a walk, MrM bought the dog home after a few minutes as she was shivering and so we could walk faster. It was too cold to stroll. (not that I walk that fast now with this arthtritis though).

Had our usual Sunday cooked brekkie, then a quick tea of a toasted cheese /tomato panini, so I could finish before DOI.

Tv time have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Baz.

At least you didnt have a bad night, good on you spending time catching up on programs, why not, just do jobs when you feel like it.

Cold here too, only 3c with light cloud and a moderate breeze, took a walk around the garden but didnt fancy working in the cold so stayed in most of the time and watched the tv, no snow forecast and for the next 2 weeks just cloud shown and low temperatures.

Had bacon, egg, sausage black pud with beans after a vid call from Oz quite early which got me out of bed at 9am.

Oh dear not another skater injured, they are getting them to do too much skating without enough training and protective gear on the ice.

I dont look out for Robins as being colour blind i can only tell Rooks or whatever the black ones are, the black and white birds and pigeons.

Just watching DOI now, 2 hours of it, stay safe and sleep well.

Hicky

Evening Mollie.:

We posted together so didnt see you.

Yes, this cold weather will slow down work in the garden, i'll have to see how it goes.

This weather is too cold for the dog unless its well wrapped up before you go out, she wont be able to warm herself.

Cheese and tomato pannini's are nice, i'm going to make a beef vindaloo tomorrow with the lefft over bit of beef, only need to add an onion, some tomato purree a little sugar and some vinegar, the jars of vindaloo paste are 384g and i got a pack of 6 the same with the Rendang, love that.

Stay safe and sleep tight.

Hicky

Evening All.

Hope you all slep well.

3c here today and had sun all day, snow was forecast but it had a day off i assume, the wind was annoying.

I had bacon and egg on toast for brekkie, for tea made a Vindaloo curry with the left over beef from yesterday.

Planted the Kiwi plant and the 3 Rhubarb Crowns, prepared the holes for the apple and pear tree, dont know when the cherry and plum tree are coming or the 24 sweetcorn plants.

Will have to see how the weather is tomorrow before i will know if i can do more planting.

Will watch whatever is good on the tv, love Salvage Hunters & 24hrs in A&E.

Enjoy your evening, stay safe and sleep well.

I am not surprised you found that cold wind annoying. Glad it didn't stop you doing your planting though.

Hope you enjoyed your beef vidaloo.  We had some type of frozen Japanese veg pastries with veg for tea and I made some shortbread.

The wind was freezing today,so the dog did not stay out too long at all. She stayed home when we went a walk down the lane though, its about a 20 min walk. The horses were out in the field today, no interesting birds in their field, only 2 big seagulls.

I enjoyed DOI and the Pottery show. Watching that Lost Family with Davina now.

HOpe Baz had a good day.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Mollie.

When working in the garden i kept going in the summerhouse so i didnt get too cold, the sun is getting higher i noticed.

Yes, the beef Vindaloo was very tasty, i added more paste and crushed tomato and it made another 3 portions so kep 1 for tomorrow and froze 2.

Frozen Japanese veg Patries, thats a new one, bet the shortbread was nice.

If it hadnt been for the annoying cold wind i would probably have got a lot more done in the garden.

Just been watching the usual, opal miners, clowns doing countdown.

Cant stand Davina so i'll give that a miss, like Rylan, he's another.

It said snow all day on the forecast not seen any yet, maybe overnight, Mrs H working in the morning as well.

Have a good Evening, stay safe and sleep well.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Chilly , but lovely and sunny here today ....I’m guessing that the blue skies will mean a very cold night though ! I didn’t sleep too badly , so I’ve got my finger out and caught up on the housework today . I’ve hoovered upstairs and down , and some the usual washing and kitchen cleaning . I also went out to feed the birds , and had a nice little chat with the fat robin . I hope you are all enjoying your Tuesday too.

Mollie , how is your son now ? I’m enjoying DOI , but the marking on Saturday left a lot to be desired ! Plus , I felt it was very unfair that they didn’t give the new guy a free pass to next weeks show. I’m loving the pottery show though ....and it’s nice to have a reality show that isn’t open to judges bias Hicky , I quite like 24 hours in A&E I wish they would do a new series of GP Behind Closed Doors , but I’m guessing in the current climate that would be impossible . Still , I’m grateful that they have managed to keep some of the reality programmes going , despite everything that’s going on .

No Best Cooks tonight (it was on yesterday) , so I’ve got to find something else to watch .Whatever you are doing , I hope you both have a good evening , and as always , stay safe .

Baz

Evening Baz.

Glad you slept ok, you do so much in a day, hope your ankle is holding up to all this work you do.

Yes, sunny here as well, but very cold, just around freezing really, it has forecast snow for days but i only saw about 6 flakes today.

Planted the Apple & Pear tree anyway, just got the 6 Raspberry canes now, till the other trees come, have ordered grafted veg for the greenhouse, tomatoes, peppers, chilies and cucumbers 3 of each type.

Had sausage and black pud on toast for brekkie, for tea had meat balls in Vindaloo curry with rice.

If its not too bad tomorrow i'll plant the dry root raspberry canes but forecast shows it below freezing so might not be able to.

I agree the voting on DOI Sunday was pretty grim what is going on, some are marking the stupid themes and expressions and others marking the skatind and some marking the dancing, crazy.

I'm not expecting GP behind closed doors as there is no surgeries open.

Have a good evening, stay safe and sleep well.

Hicky

  both

Baz

glad you slept ok and had a productive day, with a nice chat with your robin friend.

I agree, very unfair on DOI to judge a week 1 skater against the experienced ones , as you say, a free pass for the next week would have been fairer. I also thought the Pottery show was a bit harsh when it was a free for all to grab the musical instruments. The 2 who got to choose last, were judged at the botton. But I too am enjoying both shows, and yes you have a point there, it is a nice change to have judges who are not biased. Plus its very unusual to have a judge get so emotioinal as our nice pottery guy judge does. You know contetants have done well when his tears start.

I think you are right about GP's behind Closed Doors, probably impossible with covid, especially now most GP appointments are on the phone.

I will watch A and E tonight though, such a good show, I love the sweet family stories they run along with it.

Hicky

Its so good you have that summerhouse to retreat in when ouside is so cold, won't be long now until it gets nice and warm in there. Well done managing to plant a couple of trees despite the cold. HOpe its ok tomorrow for you to do the canes.

We too only got a couple of flakes of snow, looks like it is just the South east and Scotland getting it at the moment.

Too cold for doggie to go in her pram again, she just quickly went out today. We went for a walk and the wind was incredibly cold, but it was a nice bright day, with just a few flakes of snow.

Going to watch A and E now.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Mollie.

Forecast tomorrow says sunny intervals and a gentle breeze so it may be ok, temperature will be 0c mind.

As you say can always go into the summerhouse and turn the heat up, the heater is set on number 4 which will keep it at about 5c but if i am going in and out i turn it up to 8 and it soon warms up.

The snow seemed to bypass here, it was just a passing cloud i noticed, some people arent so lucky.

Its strange how i can be in full sun but the temperature is about freezing because of the wind direction brinking the cold from Siberia/Russia etc because the Jet Stream is on the wrong side of the country.

Watching Richard Hammonds Big.

Have a good evening, stay safe and sleep well.

Hicky

Evening All.

Hope you all slept well last night.

Not too bad today apart from being cold, 2c about with lots of lovely sun, and its warming up, a gentle breeze.

Had eggs on toast for brekkie, for tea made a Tagliatelle Bolognese with fried Haggis as the base, tasty.

Planted the 6 Raspberry bare root canes today as the sun stayed out and they needed planting.

Not seen much tv, saw some of Homes under the Hammer and bits of programs but needed to sort the garden.

Will be looking for tv programs tonight, just watched the virus update on BBC.

Have a good evening, stay safe and sleep well.

glad the sun stayed out, so you could plant out the rasperry canes. Let's hope the dry weather continues. It was sunny here too, still chilly though, but a lovely day.

Your tea of haggis and bologniase is certainly different. I had cheese and potato pie and veg , then a piece of my shortbread after.

Son was not well at all last night, after only eating a piece of toast, He was pacing in discomfort. So I rang doc first thing and spoke to him, he then spoke to son and asked to speak to me again after. He says he thinks he has stomach and duodenum swelling, so has given him more medicine to add to his tablets. He told me not to worry about him not eating, but to help check he gets lots of fluid down him, he said the meds can take a few days to help. He has booked a blood test for next week. Son tried to eat a slice of toast for brekkie, then go for a walk but had to come home as he was so uncomfy. So he hasn't eaten anything else today and it has eased. Hope the meds help sort him soon.

Going to watch the thriller on itv tonight after I have watched Corrie.

Hope Baz slept ok and had a good day.

Evening Mollie.

I was very pleased to get the raspberry canes planted, hope they will be ok.

Yes, i have some strange meals, its usually what comes to mind, sometimes its planned while still in bed, i have such stocks of food that my shopping list for the week in the morning is Heck sausages 2 packs, McCains chips 2 packs, Fillet steak Tomatoes and thats it, i have everything else.

Thats very worrying about your son, not being able or wanting to eat is your body saying it cant cope with food, yes he needs a blood test as soon as possible, pity he cant get one earlier than next week, whatever the problem is time is always critical for treatment.

Instead of hard food see if he can have a breakfast cerial with milk, you need to find what food doesnt hurt his stomach so he can get food without pain, i mean foods that are easy to digest.

Been changing chanells when i find a repeat, my new falling sand pictures are here, the second one came today, its 30cm, so clever and lovely to watch, you never get the same picture created twice, i'll take a picture when i can get the right light and conditions as its hard to get the picture on the camera.

Stay in and stay safe, sleep well.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky . Cold , but dry here ....not that I’ve been out . I had another reasonable night sleepwise ....that’s two in a row .... so I’ve caught up with a few jobs today . I changed bed , washed , ironed , done the dreaded duvet cover wrestle , and cleaned the bathroom and kitchen ...and that’s me done for the day . In addition to that I had a really nice pork chop for my lunch , and now I’m lazing on the sofa watching tv (waiting for the next instalment of the impeachment ), and reading .I hope everyone else is having a good Thursday  , whatever you’re doing .

Mollie , I’m so sorry your son is having such a rough time .I hope the new meds help him, even if it does take a day or two to kick in . Like Hicky says , can he not try some liquid meals ?I used to love cheese and potato pie, but not had it in years ....I might try it out again .Hicky , I’ve not watched Homes under the Hammer for ages , but I used to quite enjoy it.What is a falling sand picture please ? It sounds fascinating .

Well, another poor nights viewing tonight , so I think it’s going to be Amazing Spaces ....and the Trump Impeachment for me Take care both and have a good evening .

Baz

Evening Baz.

Cold gere as well, 2c today but sunny with a moderate breeze.

Had 4 soft boiled eggs for brekky with a round of toast, for tea sliced up a fillet steak and had a tray of oven chips with Madras curry as a sauce over it.

Went to the garden but spent a bit of time in the summerhouse as i have the heater, had a coffee and did more garden planning but untill i can get the gardener i cant sort the greenhouse.

My shopping arrived, just sausages, oven chips and fillet steak, oh and tomatoes, dont need anything else this week, got 2 packs of the Heck sausages, so it makes 6 portions of 2 wrapped in clingfilm then frozen, i like the Heck ones as no fat comes out when you cook them and they are 95% meat.

Next week my lad is getting a new graft in his knee, its coming live from the USA and has to be used within a week, that darn use bt date again, problem is he has to wear a leg breace strapped onto his leg, he needs to wear it for 3 months and cant put weight on his leg for 6 weeks.

I saw some of the impeachment program but got fed up watching.

The moving sand picture is called this:

Moving Sand Art Picture Round Glass 3D Deep Sea Sandscape in Motion Display Flowing Sand Frame

Timagebreze Moving Sand Art Picture Round Glass 3D Deep Sea Sandscape in Motion Display Flowing Sand Frame(12inch): Amazon.co.uk: Clothing

We now have 2 x 7" and 1 x 12" and one is a small oblong one, they take a long time to arrive as they come from China, its probably not sand as its so fine, one of the ones i have says its not sand.

Enjoy your evening, stay safe and sleep well again.

Hicky

Evening All.

Hope everyone slept ok last night 🛏.

Pretty cold today at 2c but sunny all day so that was great, but a moderate breeze annoyed me of course.

Had bacon and black pud on a toasted sandwich for brekkie.

Put saltcod in water to desalt, thawed Turbot for tea with a box of big prawns, tasty.

Am thawing a Rabbit for Sunday, that should be interesting for a change.

Didnt do anything outside as it wasnt fit for working in so just had a wander around.

Been playing with the moving sand pictures, i can put my battery operated mini lamp to shine from behind which is great.

Have a great evening, stay safe and sleep tight 🛏 .

that's great you've had 2 good sleeps in a row. Hope it continues. I see you have been as busy as ever too.

I agree that Thursday nights are not so good for viewing. Sundays are my fave with DOI and our Pottery show.

Hicky

it doesn't matter if your meals are strange, best to have what you fancy, and a good variety of foods.

We sometimes get the Heck sausages, and yes they are good as they aren't too fatty.

Glad you got in the garden despite the cold, good job you can pop into the summerhouse for a bit of warm with a hot drink.

I hope all goes well for your son's graft next week. Gosh that is amazing it is coming for the states. What a long way.

It won't be easy for him not putting weight on it for so long.

Didn't have a good day yesterday, and a bad night too.

Son vomited badly twice yesterday, and he'd only had water and meds, so had to ring doc again for him. He said to carry on with the meds and lots of water today, then blood test next week. Fortunately the vomitting has gone today, so he has kept his meds down. Doc wanted to leave the blood test a week to let the meds work first. Son has managed to eat a few Arrowrout biscuits today, as I heard arrowrout helps stomach problems. He doesnt want anything else, but its a start. Will try your liquid meal idea tomorrow, if I can get him to have one.

I went to bed late, as I was helping son, so only got a few hours sleep, when cramp in my calf woke me with a start! Oh dear.

Am drinking my tonic water now, as that helps prevent cramp.

Watching Vera now , thinking of Emptybox as he always watched Vera.

Had a tasty Indian style veggie burger on a brioche bun for tea, with chips.

Went a walk down lane with son, MrM stayed in with ill son. The horses were all in stable today, as it was so cold.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Mollie.

Yes, the graft is live it must be coming by air of course from the USA, it matched my lads bone, sounds like they are going to take some bone off this time as well, unlike last time were they only shaved the non bone area, its going to be hard for him to get around again.

Oh dear, sorry to hear you didnt have a good day or night, have you rang the doc?

Sorry to hear your lad isnt any better, what meds have they given him and how is that going to help, he needs a blood test and

either Xray or scan i would think.

Oh dear, cramp is dreadful, i've had it in bed, if you turn you leg or bend your foot/ankle a certain say it seems to cause it, i tried one night many years ago to see what caused it so i was trying different things and i caused it, didnt do that again.

Glad you enjoyed your veggie burger with chips, these McCain chips are very nice, got a big bag in with the shopping.

Dont blame the horses staying in, doubt if the cold would bother them though.

Glad you could get out for a little walk, keeps the joints moving.

Stay in stay safe and keep warm.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky. It’s dull, windy and freezing here today ....once again I dashed out to feed birds and dashed back in again .I had an indifferent night ...mainly my own fault , cos I tried again to sleep in the middle of the bed , with only my pillows on there ...I know it sounds silly , but I just can’t . Apart from that I’ve not done a lot , just one load of washing , cleaned kitchen and a bit of dusting ....so a lazy day chez Baz . I’ve just had two yummy M&S bacon chops for lunch ......and that’s me done for the day .I hope you are all having a good Saturday , whatever you’re doing .

Mollie , so sorry your son is having such a rough time ....I know how worrying it can be .And cramp on top of that is the pits ! I hope things are better today ....on both counts . Yes, I enjoy our Sunday nights viewing . By the way, another skater has had to pull out  with Covid ...at this rate you and I will get called up .Hicky , you’re sand pictures are good .Wow , fancy the graft coming all the way from the States. Anyway , I hope it all goes well this time .....but your son has my sympathy not being able to weight bear for several weeks!

Well it’s Sally Lyndsey Posh Sleepover and Royal Palaces for me tonight .Have a good evening , whatever you’re doing . Stay safe both .

Baz

Evening Baz.

You really need to do whatever gets you a good sleep, restless nights will take a toll.

Your M&S Bacon Chops sound yummy, wouldnt mind some of those.

Weather same here as you cold, cloudy, but had some light snow flurries but minute flakes and a gale blowing.

Had Kipper, Salt cod, bacon and fried eggs for brekkie, fantastic, for tea had a pastie i made a while ago with a baked spud and gravy i made, before that i had 2 corn on the cob with butter and pepper, nice.

Went out to the summerhouse this morning for a bit, wind was pretty scary so didnt stay out long.

Just watched some TV, looking forward to Celeb Catchphrase then the masked singer then the voice so not a bad night.

Hope your son is feeling a bit better after his medication takes over, and you are feeling better.

Its going to be hard for my Lad to wear the metal breace etc 24/7 for 12 weeks and 6 weeks before he can put any weight on his leg, think his muscles are going to fade away with inactivity.

Have a good evening, stay safe and sleep well.

as Hicky says, its important to do what is most comfy for you in bed. Hope you have a good night tonight.

Glad you enjoyed your bacon chops, I'll pass on those but if you had veg with them, and maybe a white sauce, I'd have that.

Gosh they won't have any skaters left at this rate! at me and your replacing them, I can hardly stand upright on solid ground now, let alone ice!

I guessed Hicky's son would have your understanding about the non weight bearing after recently gone through all that yourself.

Hicky

yes your poor son is going to find it hard, but worth it when he gets his mobility back again. Incredible that the graft is coming all that way and live too. How do they choose the graft?

Not surprised you didn't stay out too long in the strong wind today. We have had wet snow on and off most of the day, it only gave a dusting though. I think it is due to go milder after today though.

Wasn't the Mask great? I thought Nicola was a brilliant judge, the only one to guess the Badger, and what a beautiful charming woman she is. A fabulous singer herself too.

Doggie just quickly going out and back again today as so cold, but no long walk, I just went a quick walk with son as it was snowing lightly and I didn't want to slip. MrM went for an hour walk on his own after.

Son is taking omeprazole and peptac medicine. I rang the pharmasist today, who was very helpful about his not eating, and how to take his meds if he doesn't eat. He had a bit of porridge and honey today and a cheese biscuit, so that is an improvement and he has been on his lap top, which is good , as he has been too unwell the last few days to do that. I read up on it and it can take 4 -8 weeks for the meds to heal this.

Fortunately didn't get cramp last night but I did drink the tonic water before bed. at HIcky deliberately giving himself cramp. Not surprised you don't want to do that again.

I had beans on toast for brekkie, (sour dough bread), and a cheesy bagel for tea.

Watching the Voice now.

Goodnight both

M

Evening Mollie.

The graft was chosen according to the bone dimantions as far as we know.

Yes, we had a dusting of fine snow, its stil blowing around now, higher temperatures, next Saturday its 14c here, wow, love it.

Had a vid call from Oz this morning, My lad thinks they might bring the retirement forward 6 months.

Yes, loved the masked singer, a great show, i would never have guessed any mind.

That was risky for you, going out when theres snow on the ground, i stayed in once the snow started.

Hope those meds do the trick, did they say what they thought the problem is? just looked up the meds on google, they stop the stomache acid reflux coming from the tum tum.

Yes, when younger i had cramp in bed a few times so i wanted to know exactly what i had to do to get it, if i remember right it was when i stretched my foot to a certain position, but to get out of the cramp you have to stretch the muscles again to free it.

I enjoyed the voice, just watching Jane now as nothing on.

In the day if theres nothing on i watch Al Jazeera, such a good channel 235 on mine, i also keep up with the news on F1.com to see what is happening.

Cooking a Rabbit tomorrow for lunch as it took up so much room in the freezer, it only cost ÂĢ9.99 and is massive, i butchered it into 7 pieces as they suggest, i used to have them many years ago, this one is farmed in France.

Have a good evening, stay warm, stay safe and sleep well.

Evening All.

Hope you all slept well.

What a difference a day makes, its 9c by 8pm all the thin blown snow has gone and but the wind is Gusty and rain this afternoon, didnt do anything outside.

Had a sausage and egg on toast for brekkie, then cooked the Rabbit in a gravy that i got from a recipe, very tasty, had 3 of the 7 pieces for tea and have put the rest in the fridge with the sauce.

Watching DOI, more missing, its so dangerous when they dont get the proper tuition.

Hope you all had a good Sunday and stayed safe and warm and dry.

same weather change here too, wind and rain, but lucky it didn't rain till late afternoon, so we were able to go for a walk. Doggie only going short walks now its winter though. We took some apples for the horses, but they were in their stable eating their hay that the lady had just given them, which was a shame as they usually come up to the fence when we go by. Never mind, I'll try again tomorrow.

That nice you had another Oz video call, and he thinks he can retire another 6 months earlier now.

Son is improving at last. Had porridge, a potato cake and a cheese biccie. Not much for a 6ft plus skinny lad, but better than wha he was eating. Hard to find bland plain food for him. Still very tired though.

Had cooked brekkie, then had oven rolls and camaenbert cheese in oven, very nice.

Enjoyed DOI and the Pottery show. watching Brits in Spain now.

Thats a pity you just missed the horses, never mind you'll get more chances as the weather picks up.

Anythin that you can get your son to eat is a bonus, its worth trying different foods now he has started to eat a bit.

I'll have to make more bread have ran out now, i get a shop large sliced seeded so i dont have to make so much myself, i freeze it wrapped in clingfilm, when thawed its like the day i bought it, i only usually have it for breakie anyway.

Yes, the doggie wont like winters now, she will enjoy the warmer weather though.

I recorded the Brits in Spain, i hope.

11c today with light cloud an a moderate breeze.

Had bacon black pud and tomatoes for breakfast , didnt do much today, a lot of thinking about what to do in the garden.

Fot tea had more of the rabbit 🐇 and put some Vindaloo curry in the gravy, had it over rice, you get so much meat on the rabbit.

That will be handy having your shopping delivery. I have a delivery pass, I paid about ÂĢ32 for a whole year from Morrisons, and get free delivery.

We missed the horses again, they were outside today as it was mild but too far away for us to get their attention. So I;ll keep their apples until tomorrow.

Hope MrsH is ok ater her injection. Did she have the same make as you had?

Didn't do much either today, other than lots of the usual washing and going for a walk, Made coly cheese for tea.

I did a washing machine full yesterday, its drying on the overhead drying bard we got installed in the bathroom, its on pulley wheels and ropes but it works fine, if the clothes are still wet i leave the extract fan on, they soon dry in the winter because the heating is on, its on auto and changes the temperature at different times of the day.

Yes, hope Baz had a good night, enjoy the tv, stay safe and sleep well.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky   Sorry , I thought I had posted in here yesterday An indifferent nights sleep for me . The weather has been warmer today , but it started raining an hour or so ago . Still I managed to feed the birds, and rescued the bins before it rained . Apart from that I managed to put the new mop together ....after a lot of swearing .....so I cleaned the bathrooms, kitchen , changed bedding and washed and ironed .....so I think I’ll get my housework badge today .And I had a nice piece of M&S steak for my lunch . I hope you are all having a good Tuesday , whatever you are up to.By the way , the miniature daffs in my front garden have buds on them .

Mollie, Sunday viewing was fun , eh But there will be no doi competition this Sunday , they are having a week off because of all the upheavals But there will be a special highlight show with skates from previous years ...if you fancy watching it I will be in the thread .Glad your son is on the mend now .I have a yearly pass for Sainsbury .....but Ocado (my M&S delivery) has suspended their yearly pass , so I have to pay weekly ! Hicky , well done on the lottery win ....drinks are on you then .Glad Mrs H got her jab....which one did she have ?

Well it’s Best Cooks and First Dates for me tonight.  Have a good evening both, and stay safe .

Baz

Evening Baz.

Yes, strange weather, 11c today with sunny intervals and then light rain with a moderate breeze.

It doesnt sound as though you sleep was that good, i get up once in the night usually, mind you i dont go to bed till midnight.

You do so much work in the house, it sounds like your running a B&B.

Had a sausage and egg toasted sandwich for breakfast then made a loaf, i used an old seeded flour with 20% wholewheat, it looks like a wholemeal loaf but i think this loaf tin i'm using is a 4LB loaf so i'll have to try and double the dough ingredients next time.

after the loaf was done i am making a lamb leg dinner with some diced leg Mrs H didnt want as she said she cant chew.

I had been in the summerhouse for a while cutting up pieces of soaker hose to size, i made a chart of the watering system for the raised beds, each tree etc will have its own circle of soaker hose fed from a main soaker hose which will run around each raised bed fed from a hose supply which will run ro the bed, each loop of soaker hose for each bed will have a coupling piece so the loop can be split for removal, and each bed will have an isolation valve and a coupler so the bed soaker can be stored for the winter.

I couldnt fit the fittings into the hose pipes yet because you need to warm the end as its a tight fit and the fittings are double barned.

I dont know which Jab Mrs H got, she didnt tell me, as she is in the same docs surgery as me i suppose it would be the Pfizer.

I wont get rich on the lottery, we have 2 tickets so we got ÂĢ20 but we must have paid in over ÂĢ100, but as the old saying goes, if your not in it you'll never win it.

Have a good evening, stay safe and sleep well.

yes I heard they had to cancel DOI this year, it has been one thing after another this year. I will join you for the special,I probably won't remember half of them though.

Hicky is right, you do so much housework, it sounds like you could be running a B and B. Maybe that is an idea for you post covid to earn a bit of pocket money?    Sounds like you need a bit more new mop training though.

Shame M and S suspended the yearly pass, as you could of done with it this year. I had a shop from Sainsbury last week as asda was booked all through. Was pleased with it. My Morrisons pass was cheap because I went for the mid week one, can only use it Tues, Weds, Thurs.

Hicky

well once again your watering system sounds very clever and high tech too, even your washing sounds high tech.

As you say, if you are not in the lottery, you can't win it. Next one might be the big one.

Bet you enjoyed your loaf even if it came out smaller than you intended.

Mild here again today, didn't rain until late afternoon, so got a nice walk in. Horses eating their hay again, so will keep taking their apples until they are close to the fence again.

Son gradually improving, but its a slow job for him. He had porridged and 2 potato woffles today. Think he will have to take these tablets for awhile. Will see what doc says to him.

Daughter sent for Dominos  for tea which was nice.

Watching Graham help the dog owners on C5, nice show. Then its A and E.

Goodnight both xxx

Evening Mollie.

My lad in Oz said the other day, he'd like to get a nice house with a big garden and get me to come over and set up the automatic watering system, that would be interesting, got some relations in Sulfolk to put a watering system in for last year.

The loaf didnt rise much on the 2nd rise, could have been that the seeded flour was a year out of date, not sure if that would effect it, but it was seeded flour and i added 50g of seed, so that might have made it heavy, i'll have some tomorrow and see what its like.

I think you'll have to call the horses over, but if you give them apples one day, you will have to have them every time you go or they would be rather upset i imagine.

Very worrying about your son, he needs test doing to see what the problem is, the medication is just to get him eating till they can sort the problem, but its good he is eating, he could have an ulcer.

Nice of daughter to order Dominoes, saves a lot of messing.

My lad goes in hospital for his knee op tomorrow afternoon, starting another period of limping/crutches.

Watching A&E, watched Salvage hunter, Drew.

Mrs H nipped out today and brought back hot pork pies and pasties, rather nice, it changed my planned meals though.

Stay safe and sleep well.

Hicky

Evening All.

Hope everyone had a good day and slept well last night.

Not a bad day today with 11c and sunny with a moderate breeze.

Managed to get some work done on the new watering system, all the 44 pieces are now cut to size ready to be assembled.

Had a bacon & tomato toasted sandwich for breakfast.

For tea i portioned the casserole i made yesterday with Lamb Leg and had 1 portion with added Vindaloo curry, very nice, have frozen the other 2 portions.

Mrs H is off this week, they have to put their holiday days in way in advance, but she is getting the shopping in tomorrow early.

Forecast says 10c tomorrow with some light rain in the morning, might make another loaf, the last one was awful, too dense like wholemeal with seeds.

Lad has gone into the hospital today for his knee op, he stays overnight.

Have a good evening, stay safe and sleep tight.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  A bit overcast here , and windy.... but it’s not cold . In fact I’ve been out in the garden again this morning , doing some more pruning and tidying up . I’ve also done two loads of washing ....had a bit of a clear out in one wardrobe .....fed birds , and cleaned kitchen . ...so not a totally wasted day chez Baz .I hope you are all having a good Thursday , whatever you are up to .

Mollie, honestly I don’t do that much ...I think you two do far more than me . TBH it’s more to keep my mind busy , otherwise I just *dwell* . Glad you son is getting gradually getting better ....even if it is slow .Hicky , I hope your sons op goes ok today ...at least he’s not in there for long ...which is just as well these days !

Well it’s another sparse viewing night tonight ....but no doubt I’ll find something to watch .Have a good evening both ....and stay safe .

Baz

Evening Baz.

Warm here reallyt at 10c, forecast said rain but we got sun and lots of it, a fresh breeze.

Had a bacon and tomato sandwich on seeded brown bread for breakfast, for midday had 3 pancakes from a pack of 5 Mrs H delivered with my shopping, also got a nice Boned Rib Joint, i divided it into 3 so i can have it for 3 meals, she also got me 2 packs of batter mix, that should be handy.

Got some more work done outside, it was such a nice day it was hard to stay indoors.

My Lad had his Op, a big job, they found a tear in the shin material that is between the bones of the knee so they had to mend that by drilling tunnels down and out of the side of the shin to anchor the ties, he cant bend the knee for 2 weeks, then he can alter the holding frame to 30deg. he should be home today, i hope, not heard from him yet, he sent me pictutes of his lag and the hospital room, very nice.

Yes, if you can get in the garden its worth doing so, you can get a few jobs done outside, pruning and clearing is ideal while its warm.

I rang about my last 2 trees, the cherry and the plum, she said the plum next week, she said the nursary are running late, she will email me when she knows something.

Its fish for tomorrow night, dont know which to have, i have such a selection, will have to see what i feel like tomorrow.

Hope you can find something to watch tonight, sleep tight.

Hicky

Baz

how nice the weather was good enough for you to do a bit of gardening.

I agree, not a good night for tv today.

Hicky

glad you son's op is over, let's hope it is not too long until his mobility is good again.

I am sure you would really enjoy going to your son's house (when he gets it) to sort out the watering for him.

I bet you enjoyed MrsH surprise of hot pies and pasties, but a shame your loaf didn't turn out well. .

Its good the weather is milder for you to get in your garden.

Son is improving gradually, he actually came with us on a walk today. I have found out how to get the horses over. They were in the stable eating hay when we went past, then when we came back, they were at the fence, with a couple feeding them. I asked how they got the horses over so quickly and they said, you just have to rattle the gate and they come over.   So my apples soon got munched today.

Son went for blood test today, eat a bit more again today, he is still not right yet, but hope it won't be long now until he is back to normal.

Forgot to post yesterday...had a couple of shopping orders to sort. Can't miss those with my big family and 2 pets. Talking of which, doggie lying on my feet again.   She enjoyed sunbathing in the window today, as we had some lovely sunny spells and just a quick shower. My washing dried lovely today.

Tv so bad, think I will just watch recordings today.

Goodnight both xxx
