Evening Mollie.

Yes, that particular son has now got to make a documant from an elecrical chapter from a 12 section book because they cant update the book to just update part of a section, this is serious stuff, but its not a paid job as its doe by volunteers, the section is Section 7 is al about Low Voltage Switchgear and Distribution equipment and it is a guide for all engineers to assist in what is required to be included as part of the design.

Yes, there are plenty of apps that can be used to comunicate, whatever you have as long as it works, 1 is for more conferencing.

Yes, be careful now the temperatures have dropped, maybe not advisable to take a chance, on ice you wouldnt stand a chance.

Just watching the Voice, the masked singer was good.

The Lobster was dear but it did 2 meals and it was only a treat, it cost Β£29.99, not something you get every week, Mrs H enjoyed hers, she might not be getting another mind.

Just finished a small tub of marinated Anchovies, love them, so tasty.

Have got a small piece of Lamb leg for tomorrow, will do a few veg and some spuds to go with it.

I have 36 portions of fish in the freezer for meals, wow.

Keep warm, stay safe and sleep well.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  I slept better last night , but still feeling down , so not done a lot today . Just some washing , bins and fed the birds . We’ve had no snow today , in fact the sun is shining at the moment , but it’s still quite chilly out . I had lamb chops for lunch , and am binge watching series 1 and 2 of the Bay. Anyway, I hope you are all having a nice Sunday, whatever you are up to .

Mollie , I hope you’re not snowed in down there ....I think it’s quite bad over your way . Are you looking forward DOI and Pottery .....another marathon viewing session coming up ...but at least there is no overlap this week . Hicky, your lobster sounds absolutely delicious....I’ve got lobster envy.   My kids and I do have FaceTime on my iPad etc . and video on FB Messenger ....but tbh I very rarely use either...although I have had a couple of sessions during lockdown  .

Well, it’s a full evenings viewing for me tonight ......so keep warm and stay safe both of you .

Baz

both

Baz

yes great tv night to come.

Yes at last Wales gets a good cover of snow, about 3 inches.

Glad you got a good nights sleep, sorry you feel down, hopefully chatting a lot with your forum friends tonight will help.

I enjoyed the Bay, and am enjoying watching Series 2 now. Can't decide if the central woman is supposed to be likeable or not though.

Hicky

glad you enjoyed your lobster. I know its expensive, but remember you arne't spending money eating out now, so its nice to treat yourself at home instead.

You certainly have a lot of fish kept by.

that's nice of your lad to voluntary assist in book writing meant to help others.

I found walking very easy in the snow today, which is much nicer than the ice yesterday. It was quite thick and crunchy so easy to keep your footing. It looked beautiful in the fields.

Had cooked brekkie, then just some veg with salad cream for tea, I love salad cream with mash and veg.Had one of my rock cakes after.

Nice long viewing time now...DOI, then pottery then Brits in the Sun .

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Baz.

Glad you slept better, sorry you are feeeling down, we had heavy snow early morning then light snow but most has gone now.

It was 1c when i got up but a gentle breeze, didn't go out.

Had salt fish with poached eggs for brekkie, very nice.

For tea i cooked a fillet of lamb leg and sone carrot and made some roast spuds.

Bet those lamb chops were nice, dont blame you watching tv, why not.

I have got tubs of Lobster meat, i bought 2, 1 each, havent tried it yet, but lobsters far to expensive really will open 1 tub and share it.

We use FB Messenger now, used to use skype, but any is very good, sure you can use Whatsapp as well.

DOI time now for a couple of hours, stay safe and sleep well.

Hicky

Evening All.

Hope ypu all slept well and had a good day.

7c today sunny with a moderate breeze,

Had black pud and bacon with eggs for brekkie, for tea made a stir fry with a mushroom stirfry pack and some Haggis and prawns with a Blue Dragon Szechuan pepper & chili stir fry kit.

Did a few jobs outside, while it  was sunny it was nice outside so didnt want to waste the opportunity, work on the outside vine and in the greenhouse.

Not sure what i'll watch tonight after the news, i watch uk, then Al Jazeera then Sky to see whats going on in the world.

Have a good evening, stay safe and sleep well.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky Guess who is having her Covid jab on Saturday.   My friend is going to take me .....which is just as well cos my son threatened to drive up here ....and one of the Darnies threatened to drive over too . That aside , I slept reasonably well...for me ....but haven’t done much today , except the washing and kitchen cleaning . Apart from that I’ve rescued the bin , and fed the birds.  It’s chucking it down again here ! I hope you are all having a good day , whatever you’re doing .

Mollie , I hope you are ok and your roof is fixed . Do you watch Best Home Cooks ? If so there is a thread . I have enjoyed the Bay....can’t understand how I missed it first time around ! Hicky, yes, the lamb chops were yummy . I just managed to get another M&S delivery for Thursday , cue more yummy stuff . How are your eyes ?

Well it’s Best Home Cooks and Chatsworth for me tonight .Have a good evening , and stay safe both.

Baz

Evening Baz.

Glad you are getting your Jab and glad you slept better.

This constant rain is so annoying, it was 5c today with light rain and a moderate breeze.

Stayed in today as it looked so miserable out.

Had Macaroni cheese on toast for brekkie, for tea i had a Lemon Sole with Oven Chips.

Just watched whatever i could find on tv.

Glad you managed to get an M&S delivery soon.

Not a good idea for your son to drive to take you for a Jab really.

My eyes seems about the same, very hard to tell small changes, i can almost tell the time on my watch with my bad eye, but at least i can see the watch, the other eye isnt too bad, in the dim light of the morning i look at the small LED sunk light fitting in the ceiling, i cant see it or the big clock on the opeosite wall, if i look to the side i can see the ciling light and the clock which means i central vision isnt very good, it gets tested again on Feb 2nd.

I'll see what is on tonight on the TV, stay safe and keep smiling.

Hicky

both xxx

Baz

I see you have a queue of people offering to give you a lift for the injection. How sweet of our son to offer to drive so far to take you there .  HOpe it all goes to plan and you don't have to wait long. It will be so weird for you going out after all this time. Which one are you getting? Do you have far to go?

See you have to rescue that naughty bin again.

Have you joined the RSPB free bird watch?

https://www.rspb.org.uk/get-in...ctivities/birdwatch/

I have, got mine in the post today.

That's lucky you managed to get an M and S delivery.

Hopefully the roof is fixed now, as he decided he though it was a problem with the window now.

I don't watch Home Cooks becase I watch the funny dogs, then A and E tonight, but hope you enjoy your tv tonight.

Hicky

glad to see you have managed to get in the garden. Downhill to spring now we are nearly through January. Its good to see it getting lighter. We stil have patches of snow left here, but it drizzled today, so a lot melted.

Mac cheese on toast for brekkie is certainly an unusual brekkie.

Let's hope your eyes have not got any worse when you have your next test. Will they treat them at all this time, or don't you knwo until you get there?

I had my free veggie burger for tea, it was a sub I didn't want but the driver refunded me and said I could keep it.

Then had some of the shortbread I made. No doggie walk today as too ice/drizzly , she just popped out quickly with MrM.

Did lots of washing, bit of cleaning, and watched tv today. So not a lot really.

Doggie is currently sitting on my feet again, her fave place.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Mollie.

Didnt realise Macaroni cheese was an unusual brekkie, oh.

The eye clinic that sends the appointment have put see and treat again, which means they do a test then take a picture then you see the consultant, if you need injections then you get them then otherwise they send you home.

What was the shortbread like you made?

No walkies for doggie, weather rotten here as well.

Funny how doggie like sitting on your feet, sure knows when you move.

Won my lad at chess again, good game though.

Forgot to post this earlier, must have got distracted.

Stay warm and stay safe and sleep well.

Hicky

Evening All.

Not a bad day here with 9c and light cloud with a gentle breeze.

Had sausage on toast for brekkie and for tea made a concoction of chopped tomato and Turmeric and curry powder fried with eggs to make scrambled eggs, had that on toast with smoked salmon, will have more smoked salmon tonight on crackers.

Did a few jobs outside as it was nice with no wind, am thinking of buying some fruit trees to plant in the raised beds as the veg lark is a waste of time as i can grow veg in the greenhouse, needs more thought on the trees, which and how many.

Won my lad at chess again last night, i used the London opening as white of course, i have to study the black side as well, my lad plays a bit unotherdox so it makes it hard to know what he will do next.

I really enjoyed watching the news on Al Jazeera they cover the whole world so interesting unlike the BBC just getting jabs into the government in the disguise of asking people loaded questions.

Have made my shopping list out and given it to Mrs H so she can incorperate it into her list for tomorrow.

I've got 2 very old and infirm neighbours next door who must get nurses etc 3 times a day, and over the road a lovely feller who found out he has Bowel Cancer and they cant operate, that sounds bad, and around me are 4 houses where the partner has died, i suppose thats the problem when you live amongst the aged.

Have a good evening, stay in and stay safe and sleep tight.

Hicky

both

Hicky

the shortbread was really nice. I do the recipe with some ground rice, I think that makes a nice texture.

Your chess is good for brain exercise and you are doing well, beating your son yet again.

Sounds like they will check your eyes well when you go back to the hospital again. Hope you get on ok.

New fruit trees sounds a good idea, but I know how good you are at garden planning.

Gosh doesn't sound like your neighbours are having a good time of it. Do you think there are so many with health problems round there becasue they are bungalows?

An elderly guy in our road died in hospitalof covid, but he had a lot of other problems when he went into hospital, so regardless of covid, might not have survived.

Took dog to vet for a check up and more painkillers and eye ointment. Vet said she is doing well for such an old lady dog, even though we can't expect to get to perfection at her age. We just have to keep enouraging her to eat. Drizzly all day , so doggie just got a walk by the vets, then we came home.

Had my other free burger with a brioche roll, cheese and this new yummy sauce..Heinz Saucy Mayonnaise Ketchup Sauce 415Ml - Tesco Groceries

Its a mix of tomato ketchup and mayonaisse.

Hope you get all you want off your shopping list. The bags of mini Easter Eggs are out, so we got some this week. (not to save for Easter though).

HOpe Baz slept ok.

Its Corrie, The Repair Shop, then The Bay for me tonight.

Have a good evening bothxxx

M

Evening Mollie.

I meant to mention, the lad i play chess with is the same one with the bad knee, he is having another Op on the 15th of Feb, almost the same as the original Op but this involved some bone as well as well, he said: This time they’re taking bone away and defo using a bone & cartilage plug from a dead person, and if this doesnt work they will have to do a partial knee replacement.

They do the same checks on my eyes every time i go, the lit letters thing testing each eye then eye drops which sting terrible for a minute then black and white pictures, if i'm not seeing the doc they take colour pictures for him/her but the drops mean i can hardly see for up to 6 hours.

I miss my fruit trees but you cant just keep them in tubs, i was thinking they would have more room in the raised beds.

Only half my neighbours are in Bungalows, one side of the road is normal houses, i well prefer the Bungalow, cant think of one benefit of having to go up and down stairs, a Bungalow is a lot easier to heat.

Yes, if you have underlying problems your chances of surviving Covid are slim, saw a lady who survived Covid on the tv and shes 105 years old.

Your doggie doing well then considering.

Never heard of that new sauce but if Heinz make it you know its good.

Ooh, forgot about easter eggs, too late to add to my shopping list now.

stay in stay safe and sleep well.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky . Was raining all night ....cue flooded garden again ....but it’s not cold , and the sun is out at the moment . I didn’t sleep very well ....which isn’t surprising after yesterday .....it was my husbands birthday ....so a bit of a crap day for me .....but I’ve been quite productive today .....cleaned kitchen ....hoovered ...dusted...and anti bac’d two deliveries .....so not a totally wasted day . Bacon chops for lunch , now I am watching the last two episodes of the Bay . I hope you are all having a good day , whatever you are up to .

Mollie , I don’t know which jab  I will be getting ....no doubt they will tell me when I get there . It’s only about 5 miles away .....and funnily enough it is at a place that my friend and I first met over 30 years ago .Glad your roof/window is finally getting sorted. Yes, I’m doing the RSPB bird watch ....are you ? Hicky , oh dear , that’s very sad about your neighbours .I’ve never heard of that sauce either .I hope the second op sorts out your sons knee....what a pain for him though. Did you both know that they are replacing Denise Van Outen in DOI ? Apparently her shoulder was actually broken in 3 places !

Anyway, Not a great night on tv tonight , so just Winterwatch and Amazing Spaces for me . I hope you both have a good evening and stay safe

Baz

Evening Baz.

Yes, this rain has saturated the ground, next doors garden is flooded and she did say she had put in drainage, but its not working, my garden was ok, i also put some drainage in when we moved in, the slate i have down is good.

Yes, so hard when birthdays of loved ones come around, its understandable you will feel rotten.

It was quite warm here today at 11c with rain that never arrived and a moderate breeze.

Had a bacon and egg on toasted sandwich for breakfast, for tea i had chicken wings and sausages coated with chili flakes.

Have ordered more plants, a Bramley apple tree, a pear tree and sweetcorn.

I did some work in the garden as it was quite nice out, i'm making some changes to the raised beds watering system to accomodate the new plants.

Yes, hope my sons op is successful this time, he has gone through a lot of pain the last few months, he'll be basically back to square 1 so hope things improve.

I didnt know they were replacing Denise in DOI, how dreadful for her to have those injuries.

Not sure what to watch tonight, have loads of recordings, watched a couple of programs during the day and they are the same as i saw yesterday, what is going on, one of the problems is that the program changes to about 4 stations.

My supper tonight is a tin of Sild in Sunflower oil.

Have a good evening and stay safe, sleep tight.

Hicky

Evening All.

Hope you all slept ok last night, glad the days are getting longer as well.

9c today with light cloud and a moderate breeze.

Did a few jobs outside, have worked out the new watering system and have ordered all the material and fittings.

Had sausage sandwich for brekkie and salmon and chips for tea.

I have drawn up the layout of the raised beds with the new plants and trees using the drawing program, so easy, i've ordered 2 more soaker hoses and a yellow hose to like up the watering sections, its something i can get on with when the gear arrives, probably within a week or two.

The inside of the summerhouse roof is almost dry again, so pleased with that.

Just clicked on the tv channels and the Darts: The Masters is on ITV4, and Sat/Sun

Stay safe and sleep tight.

sorry you didn't sleep well and did not have a good day with it being your hubby's birthday. Such a hard time for you, I am sure.

Glad to see you are still enjoying the Bay, I am too, and watch it each week but not in advance on the iplayer thing.

Are you still on series 1?

Glad you don't have far to go to get the injection. That will be a nice memory of when you first met your friend at the same place all those years ago.

Yes I am looking forward to doing the RSPB bird thing. Not sure which day to do it though.

Didn't know they were replaced Denise of DOI. But did hear she was leaving. No wonder she was in pain. I though they said she had only dislocated it? Ithought it odd that she had to sit it out completely last week.

Hicky

Tha'ts good the weather was nice enough to get stuff done in the garden, and it will be nice for you to get those fruit trees going.  Glad the roof is ok now. We are still not sure on ours, looks like another damp patch, but just further along,so we have to watch it to see, when it pours again.

hope your son's op goes ok. Gosh fancy having a donor's bone parts, never knew they could do that.

That's amazing that lady survived covid at 105.

Rain stopped this aternoon, so it was nice to get a walk in whilst dry.

Had pizza and chips for tea and I made a cherry/blueberry crumble.

Watching Inspector Morse thing on itv.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Mollie.

Another damp patch for be awful after them looking at the problem, hope it ok when it rains next.

such a relief in the summerhouse seeing the damp area drying up.

Had a vid call from Oz this morning after Mrs H got in from work, so good to see them all,

My lad had an Xray the other day as they wanted to see the alignment of his leg.

Glad you got a little walk, i do quite a lot of walking from the house to the garden all afternoon, if the weathers nice.

A cherry and blueberry crumble sounds good, i forgot to order more puff pastry, got loads of apples as well, got shortcrust though.

Watching darts, its on afternoon and night so i'm ok for the weekend.

Have a good evening, stay safe and sleep tight.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  I hope you are all having a good Saturday . The snow and ice never materialised here ....although it’s been overcast all day .  I didn’t sleep a wink last night , but I’ve had my jab this afternoon ....the Pfizer one ....and I have to say it was well organised. I .had to wait 15 minutes afterwards , but that was all . Got to have second dose in 12 weeks ....they gave me a  reminder slip, but said not to worry cos it’s on my records and I will get called when the time comes . I’m just hoping I don’t get any side effects , but at least it’s done and dusted now .I looked like I had riot gear on though , what with the mask , visor and gloves on . And it was really strange putting things like my boots on for the first time since last February !

Mollie , sorry your roof is still playing up.I’ve watched both series 1&2 of the Bay now ....and enjoyed both I did the rspb thing this morning ....to take my mind of the jab ....but think I will give it another go tomorrow , cos all I got was 20 sparrows and 3 pigeons Usually I have at least one robin, some blue tits and blackbirds! Hicky , hope you had a nice video call from Oz . ...and that the X-ray of your sons leg has thrown some light on his on going problems. Hope you are enjoying your darts .

Not a lot on tv tonight ....but another full viewing schedule tomorrow .Have a nice evening both ...and stay safe .

Baz

Evening Baz.

Bad news you not sleeping though, good news getting the Jab, hope you have no side effects.

It said sleet for here but just some drizzle, 5c and a fresh breeze.

Had salt fish kipper bacon and poached eggs, wow, that was nice.

For tea just had a 1/4 pounder burger with onions and cheese in a wrap, wow, loved it, have got some Tapas for super.

Had an afternoon of darts on tv and it starts again at 7pm.

Not sure when my lad will get a report about his leg, i suppose the consultants study it for a while first.

I'll record the masked singer and the voice so i can watch the darts.

Have a good evening, stay safe and sleep well.

Hicky

Baz

glad you got all sorted with the jab. Yes must be odd getting the boots on again as it has been so long since you went out, and even if it looked like riot gear, best to wear the safety stuff. fingers crossed you dont' suffer any side effects now.

Hope you sleep better tonight.

I did the bird thing too, where on earth are they hiding? We often get about 20 sparrows, magpies, doves, todays count gave a mere 3 sparrows, a crow and a blackbird! Think they were hiding from the snow today!

Hicky

glad you enjoyed your burger, you haven't had one of those for awhile have you?

Hope your lads x ray will help fix the problem.

You will find it hard to fit in your tv shows with the darts to watch too.

I really enjoyed The Mask again this week.

going to watch DOI now, then the pottery show.

Had a small dusting of snow this morning, but it went quickly. Went for a walk, it was very cold.

Had cooked brekkie, so just a Apple Hot cross bun for tea and the last of my crumble.

Its so nice you get so many video calls from Oz. HOpefully it won't be long until you see them all again.

Have a good evenign both xxx

M

Evening Mollie.

Hope Baz had a good day and slept ok last night.

I have plenty of burgers in stock, just fancy 1 now and again.

I havent watched my recording of the maked singer and the voice, got plenty of time as its only on 1 day a week.

There is a new Reality show on tonight at 10pm E4, Temptation Island but its on tonight and tomorrow, and next Sunday, not sure in the week.

It said sleet here but nothing, just had a look around the garden to see what needs doing.

I cant see us seeing my Oz family this year, will see how things go.

Am recording DOI as its the final on the darts tonight, its the Masters, all very good.

Enjoy your tv and stay safe and sleep tight.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky. It’s a lovely , sunny, spring like day here ....if a bit chilly . My arm is much better today ...although still sore to touch . I slept reasonably well , so I’ve been quite productive this morning, I’ve cleaned kitchen , washed all the towels , dusted , fed birds , sorted out the freezer, and got the bins ready to go out later . I had a nice piece of steak for my lunch , and I’ve just managed to get a M& S  slot for Thursday ....so all in all , not a bad day . I hope everyone else is having an enjoyable Monday .

Mollie, I hope you enjoyed DOI and Pottery as much as I did .I didn’t get half as many birds as I normally do .....just the darn sparrows , a blackbird , some pigeons , and a sparrow hawk . I’m hoping the latter hasn’t been predating the smaller birds .But my friend, who also did the survey also didn’t have as many birds as usual ....so I’ve no idea what’s going on .Hicky , was Temptation Island any good? I still really miss BB ....even though the last few series weren’t as good as the earlier ones . It’s a shame that you won’t be able to go to Oz this year ....darn Covid has a lot to answer for.

Not a lot on tv tonight , so I’m going to watch Dales and Lakes. I hope you both have a good evening ....and as always, stay safe.

Baz

Evening Baz.

Hope your arm soon recovers from the Jab, glad you slept better, wow, you do so much work in a day.

Bet that steak was good, i'm so fussy about steak, had so many chewy ones which annoys me so much.

Havent watched Temtation Island yet, its recorded.

It was 6c today and sunny with a gentle breeze, did more work outside, started stripping out the old watering spreay head system from the 5 raised beds as i'm going to lay a large triangle of soaker hose in each bed fed from hoses running along the beds and it will be controlled from the timer in the garage.

The 13mm fittings arrived today, the hose has been dispatched, just need the soaker hose now and i can install it all.

Had black pu and bacon with an egg for brekkie, for tea used a small sachet of Vindaloo curry paste with the remains of the Rib Beef, added 1/2 cup water, tomato puree and an onion, wow, it was lovely, it made 2 portions had one of them over rice and froze the other.

Watched the Voice, just watching the DOI got the Masked singers to watch yet.

At the eye clinic in the morning Mrs H will drop me off on the way to work.

Have a good evening, stay safe and sleep well.

glad you slept ok and had a reasonable day and also that your arm discomfort is easing now.

I enjoyed our tv forum chats last night. A good nights viewing all round on Sundays now.

Well this birdwatch thing is so odd because we usually have lots of birds but all bird watch weekend they seemed to have vanished, and we too saw very few.

Hicky

that's good the weather was ok for you to get in the garden. It was good here too today, nice and dry so we got a nice walk with the dog. She went in her pram when she was tired and the horses came up to the fence for us to stroke them.

Had some goats cheese and onion crispy parcels for tea, new from Asda. Very nice they were. Then some more of my crumblee with double cream.

Its a shame you can't make any arrangements to meeting up with the family yet, but let's hope it won't be too long.

Hope the visit to the eye clinic goes wel tomorrow. Good job MrsH can drop you off on her way to work.

I'm watching a new drama on C5 tonight, not sure if it will be any good, It's on for 4 nights in a row.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Mollie.

Glad you could get out with the dog, bet the horses thought you had some food, they usually do, not too sure what you can give them, there is usually treats for most animals, not sure about horses.

Cheese and onion crispy parcels, they sound nice, and even better with more crumble.

We were thinking of going to Oz in April/May while my lad was still on Maternity leave but with Covid thats all gone out of the window so it may be in 2022 now, think he is still thinking of retiring so not sure of the timing now.

I will have to get to the eye clinic about 40 minutes early but i dont think it bothers them, done it before, think you go in in the order you arrive and book in at reception.

Hope you new drama is ok tonight, i'm recording the Temptation Island, should be good.

Have a good evening stay dafe and sleep tight.

Hicky

Evening All.

Hope everyone slept well last night.

9c today with light rain at times, with a moderate breeze.

Mrs H dropped me off at the eye clinic, got a taxi back home, was at the eye clinic at 10 past 9 this morning, eyes about the same but the left one that got the cataract removed has some mist behind the lens but they said they could sort that with laser treatment so going to have that.

Didnt go into the garden as it was raining when i was going to go so decided not to, it was ok this morning though.

My coil of yellow hosepipe came today so that gives me some work i can be doing in the garden, just need the soaker hose now.

Didnt eat till i got back from the clinic then had sausage, bacon and egg on a toasted sandwich, wow, nice, for tea i have made 3 Conish Pasties from a recipe on the shortcrust packet, potato carrot onion and peas, with a few spices and brown sauce inside, just ate one so got 2 for tomorrow.

I had some Filo pastry left over from last time i used it, but Mrs H said it was mouldy, oh dear, so i used a packet with a use by date of December which isnt very long ago.

Just had a small tub of Anchovies Banderilles marinated Olives with an Anchovi wrapped around and spiked with toothpicks, so nice.

Stay in stay safe and sleep tight.

Hicky

both xxx

Hicky

sorry to hear you have a problem with that eye, but its good they can sort your eye problem out with the laser. When will they do it?

Bet you were starving as you didn't eat before going to the eye clinic. No wonder you enjoyed your brekkie.

That is good the arrival of your hosepipe means you can get some work done in the garden.

Your Cornish pasties sounds yummy.

Was your Filo pastry in the fridge or freezer? I tend to freeze mine when I get it, but am not sure if it comes as just fresh or if it is frozen?

For tea I had the rest of my goats cheese/onion parcels with veg and son made me some white sauce to go with it, so that was lovely. Then had some more of my cherry crumble with the double cream.

Hope Baz had a good day today.

Watched the funny naughty dogs tonight, its amazing how a bit of coaching of the owners by the brilliant doggie expert soon sorts the doggies out.

Watching episode 2 of the C5 drama tonight, really good.

Goodnight both , sleep well...

xxx

M

Evening Mollie.

The condition showed up on the eye test, they take a black and white picture then the consultant looks into the eyes, she then said i had mist on the lens like what i get on my glasses when i wear a mask and asked if i would like laser treatment to clear it up, dont think it will improve the sight in that eye though.

I dont like to rush getting food if i have to be out quite ealy as my eating time all my life has been 10am.

I've ordered so much stuff this week i dont know what it all is, the way Amazon sends the emails now doesnt say what i ordered or who it is coming from so i have to go and sign in to see what i ordered.

I know i ordered a 6 jar pack of Rendag curry paste and a six pack of Vindaloo curry paste and a load of hose couplers so i can split the watering loop to remove when i want to hoe the bed and another joint so i can remove the loop from the main line, also i will inset a tap into each line so i can turn the bed off and isolate when i remove each section.

The filo pastry had been opened as i had used half and left it in the fridge, i probably forgot about it, when you buy it it is in the fridge, i will freeze the packs next time, just need more time to defrost so i can use it.

I need to add more spice into the pasties somehow as i like them spicy, think i will freeze them.

I watched some recordings today so apart from the new Island one i am uptodate, got hundreds still to watch though.

Have a good evening, stay safe and sleep well.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky   Not a good night for me , but at least the weather has been good today ....and the days are starting to draw out too ......spring is on it’s way . I’ve not done much today , just the usual washing and cleaning ....oh , and anti bac’d my main delivery ! I also managed to get a M&S delivery for tomorrow , so not a bad day all told .I hope you are all having a good Wednesday , whatever you are doing .

Mollie, I hope you are having a good day , and that your weather is as nice as mine . I am enjoying Celebrity Best Home Cooks .....have you watched it ? Your goats cheese parcels sound yummy ...I love goats cheese .Hicky , I’m sorry to hear about your eyes ...but glad they can sort it with laser treatment . Was Temptation Island any good ?

Well it’s Best Home Cooks for me again tonight .I hope you both have a good evening ....and take care .

Good Evening Baz.

Sorry to hear you didnt sleep too good, at least you have had a delivery, and an M&S delivery tomorrow, nice.

Spring is only about 5 weeks away, it will soon be here.

It was 9c here today some sun cloud and drizzle, didnt do much in the garden just sprinkled around the raised beds some fertiliser.

Had the Rhubarb crowns and the Raspberry canes delivered today, also the Soaker hoses via Amazon.

I still havent watched the recording of Temptation Island yet.

Might watch best home cooks tonight.

Stay happy, stay safe and sleep well.

Baz

sorry you had a bad night, but glad your day improved.

Yes spring is just around the corner, I ordered a bunch of daffs and some hot cross buns for me and some for my neighbour (we often leave each other little gifts at the front door) and  a small bag of Aero mini Easter eggs from my shopping delivery tomorrow for me.   That's good you managed to get an M and S delivery booked.

I haven't seen the HOme Cooks show you mentioned, have been watching the drama on C5 this week, really good, its called Drowning. worth you watching on catch up. Will record the Bay.

Hicky

I too noticed how its changed with emails from amazon, bit of a nuisance having to go and log in to check what you've ordered.

That sounds like the same filo pastry we bought. It makes nice pies etc.

Daughter ordered take away pizza for us for tea tonight, so son was glad he could have a night off cooking. He is busy right now with his Uni work.

Started to take dog a walk but it was windy and she was shivering, so MrM bought her home and wrapped her in a blanket. Her hair is thinning due to her age, so she does feel the cold a lot more. She is fine tonight though, enjoyed her dinner.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Mollie.

I know what i ordered from Amazon, but i had loads of orders so when they say its dispatched they dont tell me what has been dispatched or who has sold it, they just give me the number and the price, i have stopped printingg the orders as its too much paperwork to get rid of, so i have to log in to see what they are going to deliver.

I had 2 separate deliveries from Amazon today and a delivery from Marshalls, when the items are delivered i file the emails so my inbox only has outstanding orders waiting to be delivered.

I've ordered 2 more packs of puff pastry as i fancy making more apple turnovers.

I think you'll need to wrap the dog up if you take her out as the weather is going colder for a few weeks.

Just watching the 1st recoding of Temptation Island.

Stay happy, stay safe and keep smiling and sleep well.

Oh dear, forgot to post it on Wednesday.

Hicky

Evening All.

It was 9c again today with light cloud and a moderate breeze.

Got a few jobs done outside, put some dreied manure down on the raised beds and forked it in a bit, need to plant the Rhubarb & Bare root canes but the beds arent ready yet, have put the plants in the greenhouse for now as the summerhouse is warmer and they might start to wake up.

Had a bacon & egg sandwich for brekkie, for tea just made a Laksa soup and had a pack of salami, chorizo and chees slices.

Mrs H got my shopping list, nothing much just the usual bacon egg black pud, oranges puff pastry, meat balls, Tapas platter, potatoes thats it as i have such a stock of ingrediants for meals, get as little as possible fresh food as it doesnt keep, tinned and frozen are far better for me.

Got 2 more appointments through, for my eye, a normal one and another a week later, 10th and 16th March.

Just watching the Yucon Men then i'll see whats on.

Stay in, stay safe and keep on hoping.

That's good you were able to get in the garden again.

Doggie chose to stay home again when it was our lunch time walk, so just me, MrM, and the boys went as daughter doesn't like walking in the cold either. It was drizzly too by the time we got back.

yes that is what I meant about Amazon, they don't tell me either what they've dispatched, so they have changed their email methods. Its annoying having to log in to check what it is they've dispatched. I don't print them either, as the paper work ends up being too much.

Don't blame you making those apple turnovers again. They sound yummy.

Good old MrsH getting your shopping all sorted for you again.

They are certainly looking after you with all your eye appointments, which is good.

Son made a chicken and beef mince chilli for tea, the family said it was very nice, I had onion bharjis, and veg for my tea.

Going to watch final episode of the C5 drama now.

Hope Baz had a good day.

Goodnight both xxx

Evening Mollie.

If the sun comes out and it did i cant stay in the house, the temperature isnt the problem, just the rain, cant work in the rain, i only do a bit of work then rest in the manshed to recover, only need 5 minutes and i'm out again.

I had an email last night telling me an order has been dispatched and being delivered by UPS on the 8th, i traced the delivery number with UPS and it was the one i got yesterday from them, strange them telling me it has been dispatched after it was delivered.

That chicken and beef mince chili sounds nice, onion Bhajis for you with veg, i'd have the chili with them.

Yes 2 eye appointments in the same envelope 1st class.

Just watching the best of the hour when i search through the channels.

Have a good evening, stay safe, sleep tight.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Happy Friday .Not great at chez Baz , just one of those days  ....but the weather has been ok , up til now .I’ve not done a lot , just the usual housework , kitchen , bathroom, washing /ironing, and fed the birds . I hope you are all having a better day than me!

Mollie, I think you’d enjoy Home Cooks Did you see that that Rufus guy has apparently left DOI due to Covid ....although there are rumours going around that there was a backlash against the political remark he made in the first programme .....anyway , I’m not sorry to see him go ....but what a waste of a golden ticket . I might check out the Drowning .Hicky , glad you won’t have to wait too long for the eye appointments. Glad you managed to get a few gardening jobs done .

Well it’s Susan Calman and then Scenic Railways for me tonight ...so that’s my viewing sorted .Have a good evening ....and stay safe .

Baz

Evening Baz.

Not such a happy day for you then, at least the weather was ok, you are still very productive when you say you dont do much.

9c today sun cloud and light rain showers, got a few jobs done in the garden, marking out where the new trees etc will go.

Had a delivery of 6 jars Vindaloo Paste and another delivery of the Kiwi plant and the apple and the pear tree.

I didnt know Rufus has left DOI, wonder what he originally said.

Yes, it was nice to get the 2 eye appointments together, i was only expecting the one but the usual one is the first one so the second must be the laser treatment.

Baz

sorry you are not having such a good day. Hope you feel better when you sit down for your evenings tv.

Sounds like you have been busy. Maybe you should try sitting for a chill out and watch tv in the day when you don't feel so good? I have started to try and sit and watch Judge Rinder programme on itv at 2pm to give me a break and my achy legs a break in the day.

Gosh another one leaving DOI!  Seems a lot of them this year.I don't really even remember him, or his political remark though.

Hicky

well lets hope we dont' get too much in the rain day , so you can continue  out in your garden. Glad to see you managed to get out in the garden today. Your fruit trees are going to keep you busy now.

We too don't mind the cold but don't like going for a walk in the rain.

My poor son has been unwell , only ate half a pieice of toast in the last 2 days. He keeps burping when he tries to eat. I eventually talked him into speaking to a doc today. She said he has acid reflux and has given him tablets. He has eaten a few nibbles of his tea after he took one, as MrM wasn't able to collect the tablets till late afternoon. Let's hope it helps him eat again soon. He is tall and very slim, so he can't afford to not eat.

After I've watched Corrie, I am going to watch the Endervour detective tonight, it used to be Inspector Morse.

As it is Friday, I have some Aero Mini eggs to enjoy.

Doggie is sitting in her usual position on my feet again right now.

Have a good evening both xx

M

Evening Mollie.

I'm hoping for some dry weather so i can get more jobs done in the garden, got planting to do but will have to mulch them against the frost.

Sorry to hear your son isnt well, is it acid indigestion, dont you have Rennie tablets in your medical cabinet/box, yes he sure needs to be eating.

Mrs H got me some Hot X buns as well, had 2 very nice, watching Al Jazeera channel, its so good at showing whats going on in the world, the BBC shows nothing.

Ooh, Aero mini eggs, how lucky, ive got 2 platters of Tapas which is lovely.

Stay safe and stay happy, sleep well.

Hicky

Evening All.

Hope everyone sleept ok.

6c today, sun and cloud, was expecting rain but non came while i was in the garden, hardly any wind.

Had a kipper with bacon and black pud for brekkie, for tea thawed a beef Vindaloo and cooked some rice.

Spent a couple of hours in the garden, did a few jobs in preparation for the planting, adding more fertiliser to the beds, will add some manure to the planting holes at the time.

Made some Apple Turnovers, just got 6 from one pack of Puff Pastry, Mrs H had the 1st 2 then i had 2 after my curry, have 2 left which i have frozen.

Watching, the Masked Singer, then The Voice, then whatever i can find to watch.

Stay safe and enjoy your Saturday Evening, sleep tight.
