Baz and Hicky

Baz

thinking of you on your Anniversary today.

Hicky

well done getting the belly size down a little. Every bit helps and it is not an easy task trying to lose weight. I need to follow your good example the state of my wobbly belly is not a good one!

I did go swimming for half an hour today, but of course after I was starving and had to try like mad to control my food intake!

Good idea to complain about the fish site as you ended getting 10% off. They are certainly long term suppliers so even if their website isn't up to scratch, their produce must be good.

What a shame you realised after you made the nachos that you had no jalapos.

Gosh those crab legs are expensive for you. Shame you don't live closer to me, I could pick some up from Costco for you.

Very cool here for June, but can't complain as I hated it last summer in the 30's, and at least it didn't rain today.

Had to dig my jumper out again to go swimming today.

Watching Bake Off professionals now, this week I now fancy a custard brioche! How clever are those sweet creations. Having worked with sweets yourself Hicky, you know how hard it is to make sweets. Hope you are enjoying watching it Baz. Watching A and E after.

Son is at his usual drama group tonight. He enjoyed the new one last night. They don't do the performance with the new group till November, so they have plenty of time to practice.

Work tomorrow, so need to be organised as have to leave by 7.30.

Goodnight both xxx

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky Hope you’ve both had a good couple of days , and not been washed away!

It rained all day here yesterday and is still damp and very chilly .....in fact I’ve had the heating in ....flaming June , yeah right! I struggled through yesterday with the help of my daughter ....and my forum friends ....but feel wiped out today , so had a lazy one . ...that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.

I watched Bake Off last night Mollie , and enjoyed it . I think the final will be between the tall guy and the Spanish girl , and the two girls ......but my favourite is Jake  I also watched a bbc 4 programme about Peter the Great , who although I used to be a historian , I knew very little about . It was presented by Lucy Worsley who I really like ...even though she is a bit wacky  I’m  also looking forward to the return of Celeb Gogglebox on Friday Mollie   Are you enjoying Love Island Hicky ? My daughter has been forced to watch it with my grandson

Anyway , I hope you both have a good evening .

Baz

Evening Both. :

Nearly missed your posts as it was on the next page, 619 but with being colour blind i din't see the page number, when i pressed F5 to refresh the page stayed on 618 with no new posts, i looked for a minute puzzled then i noticed the 'NEXT' icon and it dawned on me there must be another page, on looking very close at the page i saw the 619, phew, that was lucky.

Anyway, 15c today, it said heavy rain but none arrived, cloudy all day with damp air, no sign of sun, wind a gentle breeze.

Had an egg sandwich for brekkie, and a Vietnamese seafood soup for tes, added some sliced mushroom and some chopped up Chili, had a couple of rounds of toast to finish off my last loaf so might make a new batch of loaves in the morning.

I opened the tin of 2.8kg of Jalapeno sliced green chilies, Put them into 6 Ziplock bags to freeze.

Mollie, The problem with trying to lose weight is, it doesn't come from were you want it to.

I only complained about the fish company site because i want then to do well and as i said to her, it looks like it has been designed by some school kids learning about programming, i was only critical as a customer trying to find certain fish etc and it was so difficult, they had a row of fish typ echoice options, one being 'New Frozen Fish' i said to her, when i pressed it the Froxen whitebat didn't come up, she said no it wouldn't as it's not new, i said where is the not new frozen fish, she said all the fish is frozen, i said when you press a next page option the items come up at the bottom of the page instead of the top so when i scroll through to the top there isn't anpther next page option, as it's at the bottom, and some other problems, the site is a mess, i said to her how does anyone find your chili vinegar, as it never shows up, she said you have to search for it, i said how can anyone search for it when they don't know you sell it, she said i'lll put it in with the jellied eels.

Yes, i have had to put my zip cardy on again.

Your son has a long wait then if the performance is November, does he rehearse then till then.

Hope it went ok at work today.

Baz, I understand yesterday would have been a difficult one for you, glad you had your daughter with you for comfort and your forum friends.

I didn't watch the Professional Bake off as it's way ott, asking them to make crazy stuff because they know some will fail, the tests they give them prove nothing and is so unfair, to make them bake 180 cakes all the same and taste fantastic, its just done to create a program where the only ones they want to look good are the presenters.

Loving Love Island, what a fantastic summer for me when no BB is here.

Hicky

Baz

Pleased to hear you had some support from your daughter and forum friends for what was such a difficult day for you yesterday.

Sounds like you had a lot more rain than us yesterday. We are on South Wales, so it was not too bad, but it rained a lot in North Wales I think. Are you based in the North?

I am not sure of names on Bake Off, but I like the 2 guys, one of whom is deaf, marvellous how he manages with the help of sign language.

I know what Hicky means about the judges, they are not very nice to the contestants, but the teams creations are meant to show what complicated things they can create as professionals, so I enjoy seeing their creations.

Oh yes, Celeb Goggloebox sounds good. I see Eamon and Ruth and Rylan with his mum are on it.

at your daughter being forced to watch Love Island with your grandson. I record it and just watch bits of it.

Hicky

your weather sounds just like ours, rain threatened but none arrived.

Yes pity the fish company are struggling with their website, it is so important for businesses to get websites up to scracth now, but too many are not spending money on doing it.

Too true,.. weight loss does not seem to come off where you want it to!

Busy at work today, a lot of students taking GCES's. And many of them asking for  pens, pencils, calculators etc. One girl make me laugh....I took her to the toilets and she told me she was nearly 16 now and not only the youngest in the class, but the naughtiest too.

Watched GP behind closed doors today, now watching about a dementia cafe. Forgot to watch Bake Off.

Goodnight both xxx

Evening Mollie.

13c today, rain all morning, cloudy all afternoon, a gentle breeze.

Been Busy today, had the wheelie bin people collect the rubbish one then the garden one, had a spice delivery of Cayenne Pepper, then had a toasted sandwich for brekkie, then started making 2 long loaves in the long bread pans, 50/50 with seeds as well, then the fish delivery came so i had to put the 3.18 kg of jellied eels into ziplock bags so i could freeze them, had about a dozen to try them, yummy, my Crocs were delivered as well, was expecting the new bread slicing aid but it hasn't arrived.

Have taken a dressed crab from the freezer for later, the chili vinegar came but it's not in a vinegar bottle, it's a normal one so had to spoon the vinegar out.

Going to get my own shopping in the morning, will get a taxi down and have brekkie, won't be the one i had last week though, will probably just get eggs.

Will post a picture of my 2 loaves at the end of the post, the total was only 500g of strong white and 500g of wholemeal flour.

When i was talking to the lady about the website, think she may be part of the family, she seemed to be saying the site was ok as the customers know it, but i was trying to tell her it's the new people who they should be catering for, not the old customers, i will be speaking to her again anyway.

Are the students supposed to supply their own pens etc, do you just have a few in case of problems?

Girl 16 and proud of being the naughtiest, wow.

Am watching recording as have so many and all the tv was old stuff.

Hicky

Hicky

those loaves look delicious. Do you eat some whilst still hot? And with butter? That is how I would eat them. (some of it anyway).

You have been busy sorting your food and deliveries for various things. What colour are your crocss? Do you get those off amazon? I bet they are handy for popping on to do your garden.

You are dead right, a business should think of new customers on their web page design.

Yes the students are supposed to supply their own pens etc, but many forget something or other, so school always have a set of pens, pencils, rulers, protractors, compasses and calculators to lend them for exams if they don't have one. One of the teachers said some of the students family homes don't even possess one pen at all.

Am watching Hotel Inspector now.  it is a new series.  I remember how Emptybox enjoyed watching this. Aaaww, I do still miss him.

Went swimming this afternoon, but as usual after swimming, it made me feel starving tonight, even though I had my tea. So had to get a piece of toast. So that's all the calories I burnt off swimming added back again!

Finish my school job tomorrow, so am looking for something else now. Only part time though, as the arthritis can't cope with full time now.

Not a bad day here today weather wise, only a brief shower of rain. About 15c, which I prefer to it being in the 30's like it was this time last year.

Hope you are ok Baz, and had a pleasant day.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Hope everyone is having a good day . Oooo those loaves look yummy Hicky  ....I’d definitely be eating some warm, with lashings of butter  I watched GPS Behind Closed Doors and Hotel Inspector Mollie ....and don’t forget Celeb Gogglebox starts tonight

I had a nice facial at the local spa yesterday , but I didn’t sleep much at all last night. However , I had a very early start ( for me ) cos I had a plumber coming between 8-1 to fix my loo .....plus I was expecting a parcel for my daughter ! Anyway , they had both arrived by mid morning ,  but in the meantime I changed the bed , did a load of washing and ironing, cleaned kitchen and dusted all by 11 o’clock So, as it has finally stopped raining , I decided to pop into town and pick up a card for my grandson , plus a couple of other bits .....now I’m shattered

Anyway , I hope you both have a good evening .

Evening Both.

A bit warmer today, 16c with light rain this morning, it brightened up though and just after 10am we had some sun.

I had 2 fried eggs on toast at Sainsbury's then got my shopping, got quite a lot of stuff, also salad veg, my chest freezer is full to the top now, also the big American fridge freezer is full, going to be having some of the fish next week as i love Plaice and Baramundi.

For tea i made a Duck Stirfry, part cooked the duck breast then sliced it and finished cooking it in the wok, then made a stir fry, but to add flavour made a chip shop curry sauce to act as a gravy, rather nice.

I got plenty of fruit and veg, mind you it doesn't last long.

My new bread slicing aid came as well, haven't tried it yet, it's a bit wider than the old one.

Mollie

I usually eat a few slices of the bread still warm but with having so much to do that day i didn't have time so i had some later when i was having a bowl of soup.

I cut each loaf into 3 x 10cm pieces and wrapped to freeze then i can take a piece ot which will last a couple of days.

The Crocs are Black, i only use them in the house instead of slippers in the Summer, yes, from Amazon.

Yes, i miss Emptybox so much, hard to believe he's not here with us.

Yes, you will need something to occupy some of your time, it's good to have an interest, what about some small job to do with the shows your son takes part in?

Yes, the swimming uses so much energy your body wants to replace it as soon as possible.

Baz, Yes, fresh cut bread and lots of butter is really fantastic, didn't have time though.

I enjoy GP's behind closed doors as well, will have to record Celeb Goggle box as it's on at 9pm

You had a busy day by the sound of it, glad your toilet is fixed, don't wonder you tired after all the cleaning etc.

Hicky

Baz

thanks for the celeb Gogglebox reminder, will tune in now. Looking forward to it.

Gosh you did have a busy day. no wonder you were shattered. Nothing worse than a broken toilet, so good ob the plumber came to fix it.

Hicky

Sounds like you are well stocked up with food again.

Hope your brekkie at Sainsburys was an improvment on what you had there last time.

Good idea to have comfy crocs in summer as comfy sleepers get too hot in summer time.

Yes I could see if there was any work going in the theatre, and I am looking at the schools to see if any part tome work there.

Last day at work today, the staff had a coffee and cake morning at the end for us. Daughter made a huge cake in shape/colours of school emblem and the staff were thrilled with it. Lots of kids asking for toilet visits today and pens, pencils, rulers etc, so not much sitting down today, but better than being bored. The kids do make me laught, they can be so funny. Went for tea with family  as a treat in a local village pub.

Celeb Gogglebox time now, then Love Island on plus 1. gosh a few jealous females and resultant rows going on now.

Goodnight both xxx

Evening Mollie. :

17c here today, lots of cloud, rain forecast but didn't arrive, a moderate breeze though.

Didn't do a lot today, had a full English for brekkie, seeing i have everything available.

My new white vest style carier bags came, i can write the contents on now.

For tea had a hot and sour soup from the freezer, added mushroom and Jalapeno and some more water, then i defrost a Plaice fillet and cooked that, nice.

It would be nice for you if you could get a part time job that suits the free hours you could manage.

That was lovely of your daughter making that cake, what a triumph, such a clever girl.

That was nice you all having tea in the local pub, a good end to the week.

I recorded Gogglebox, i hope, anyway i watched Love Island.

The unseen bits of Love Island tonight, thats ok with me.

I see some places have had awful floods, must be such a disaster to them.

Forgot to mention, my lad in Oz has had a couple of gusts visiting this week, 2 relations of hi o/h, and they have all been Skiing, not sure where, he hired a big car, even took the baby, have seen pictures of them on the slopes, none of them have ski'd before, they had to have lessons, thye are back in Sydney now.

Hi HIcky

your bags you can write on sound handy.

I too had a cooked brekkie today, but at the pub. There was a special war event on today. Lots of stalls, and people dressed in war clothes, shops with tape over the windows and war window dispays, Even the staff in pub had war clothes, and they played war music. They were lucky with the weather as it was dry so lots of people went. They had a Winston Churchill look alike giving war speeches and an old town crier and even police in old uniforms. They had a huge hurrican in the middle of the town, not sure how they got it there and old American trucks in town.

How nice for your lad to go skiing and even take the baby too. I remember when we were in Oz, we drove to the ski fields, we just went on sledges though and didn't ski as we didn't have the skill or equipment. It was in Victoria we went (quite a long drive) and we had to fit snow chains as we climber up the hills.

Going to watch last nights recording of Love Island. The 2 new girls have really been sent in to stir things up, haven't they?

Hi Baz xxx

hope you are ok today and have had a pleasant day.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Mollie.

18c today, not a bad morning, had some light rain in the afternoon, a moderate breeze though.

I had eggs on toast for brekkie, didn't do much today, had a swing on the swing seat.

Midday i defrosted a couple of tiger Rolls to fill with Salmon Salad.

For tea i made a stir fry with some defrosted beef tongue i made, and used more of my stirfry veg pack i bought, for the stock i used some chicken granules, soy, cayenne pepper, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and chip shop curry mix, and on the finished food i had some of the new chili vinegar.

I needed to replace the existing bags i bought, they are clear but far too big and take up too much room, they have the contents on the bags as will the new white ones, it's the only way i can find what i want in a chest freezer.

That war event sounds a fantastic spectacle, never seen anything like that.

They might have dropped the plane into the town center by massive helicopter.

It might have been Victoria he went to for Skiing, he drove i know that, he must have hired all the skiing gear, they all had the skiing clothes and helmets as well.

Yes, the new girls Maura and Elma sure stirred things up, but there's lots more girls and lads to go in yet, this is just the start.

Baz, hope you are ok, today will have been another tough day with it being Fathers day, you need to be strong at times like this, take care.

Hicky

Hi Mollie and Hicky Hope you’ve both had a good weekend . The war event sounds fun Mollie Glad you’re enjoying Love Island Hicky ....I saw a clip on Gogglebox

You’re right about today Hicky ....in fact it’s been a bad weekend emotionally ....I’ve not spoken to anyone since Thursday ....but I’ve got counselling tomorrow so hopefully that will give me a kick up the rear !

Anyway, I hope you both have a good evening ....and I’ll try to be more upbeat tomorrow

Aaaww Baz, you poor thing,  don't you worry about trying to be upbeat, we understand how hard things are for you. We are just so glad you feel comfortable enough to come here and speak with us about your day and also to keep HIcky and I company. (as you know we have felt lonely since we lost Emptybox),

I think you are so brave, it takes a lot of guts to take the plunge and seek counselling, but I am sure your family are so pleased you are making such a big effort to do that. (I understand a little how hard it is to help yourself, as my daughter has been suffering with anxiety, and has had to seek counselling to help her try and go out and do things.)  SoI hope tomorrow's session does help you.

Do you watch Antiques Roadshow? I am watching it now. I like it when people say an item is so personally special to them that they will never sell no matter what an item is worth.

Good luck for tomorrow. xxx

M

Hicky

yes I can understand you need good labelled bags as you have a chest freezer.

Sounds like you enjoyed your food today.

I enjoyed lunch as we went to costco again and I had the cheap lunch there.

Glad you got chance to have a swing today. I put all my things on the swing chair, but didn't get to sit on it because it started to rain! So it stayed quite showery this afternoon.

That's good there are still more newbies to go on Love Island as it really stirs them up. Girls seem to be the worst when new girls go in. That Maura seems a bit forward, even for Tommy!

Have a good evening.

No work for me now, but lots to catch up with at home and I am going with son to meet his tutor for his results and discuss his work placement on Tuesday.

Goodnight Hicky xxx

Bless you Mollie ....it’s nice to have somewhere to come and chat

Baz

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Hope you’re both having a peaceful Monday . I’ve been to counselling , to the library and the post office .....all of which has wiped me out ....especially the counselling ...but  hopefully it’s going to prove cathartic .By way , I’ve suffered from anxiety for several  years now , so your daughter has my sympathy and I hope the counselling helps her

Yes , I do watch Antiques Roadshow ....though not seen this weeks yet  Tonight’s viewing will be Dales and Lakes ....More 4 ....and then probably the programme that follows it Hicky ....what are we having for tea tonight ....make it something nice please..,,preferably with home made bread

Anyway , I hope you both have a good day and evening ....and thanks again for being so supportive

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Warmish here today, 18c with cloud and sunny spells, should have had rain but didn't see any, a moderate breeze though.

Had eggs on toast for brekkie, later had some fruiy, then a dish of jellied eels, then a dish of salad then a Barramundi fish fillet with microwave chips, then 2 bowls of Laksa noodle soup, then a couple of shortbread biscuits.

Swapped all the freezer bags from large clear to smaller white, all with labels in marker pen.

Been sorting some cardboard in the garage, mainly old boxes from equipment i buy, such a lot, if the card is ok i can use for the shredder.

Need a trip to the recycle place as gathering a car full to go.

My cough stopped eventually, thank heavens, throat not perfect yet.

Still putting dressing on my lewft elbow, can't see a specialist unless i get refered.

Have got an appointment with Urology Thursday, mainly about the kidney stones, need an xray before the appointment, then Friday seeing the nurse who does the breathing tests who put me on the trial inhaler, 25th is an eye appointment.

Mollie, Costco again, don't blame you with meal prices like they are.

On Love Island, i remember last year when the lads all went for a break and they introduced about 5 or 6 new girls to meet them, i enjoyed last nights and Aftersun.

Yes, no outside work for you, nice going to see sons tutor to get his results.

Baz, I usually watch the Antiques road trip, love that, saw the Celebrity Goggle box as well, saw most of the new Top Gear now Paddy is hosting it.

I think the counselling takes some time to hope for results as talking things over makes it easier to cope and face up to the situation.

It is good to get out to shops etc, the library & post office all help with Anxiety.

Have a good evening.

Hicky

Baz and Hicky

Baz

Yes I can understand you feeling wiped out after the counselling, and visiting a few places too today. It must be so hard for you.

My daughter always feels so tired when she sees someone to help with her  anxiety.

As HIcky says, counselling does take its time to help, but the main thing is you keep going along to your appointments. (even though that takes it out of you), and it is good for you to go out places like you did today. So you did well doing all those things today.

I see Hicky is still enjoying his laska soup for tea. I like soup but I really fancy his home made bread smothered in butter.   So wish me and you could pop over to his place when his bread has just come out of his breakmaker.

Hicky

you certainly had a broad selection of food today. I got a cheese and onlion pasty for my tea from Gregs and had it with Jersey potatoes and veg.

Good job you eventually got rid of that cough, let's hope the funny throat clears too soon.

Perhaps you should ask the nurse Friday if you can get referred now as the elbow is still not right? Hope your kidney tests go ok and the nurse is happy with your breathing.

Not a bad day here today weather wise, just a bit of light rain, not too hot, not too cold. Just went with son to post office and posted stuff to accountant, that I had finished work on, at last. (with son's help).

Watched Corrie, now watching Love Island. From what you say Hicky, hopefully we will have quite a few newbies to come in yet.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Its very warm here ....maybe summer has actually arrived ! I’ve had a productive day for a change....guess the counselling might be working after all ! I’ve managed to get a shed load of money off my tv and gas / electric, simply by complaining  .....and I think I may have volunteered to help out at my local library I was picking up some more books and just asked on spec . They said yes, they certainly need people to help with say the kids reading projects ....and emailed me the info Now all I have to do is fill in the application forms  But whatever , I’m pleased that I actually managed to get motivated enough to ask .

Hope you’ve both had a good day too Mollie , count me in for a quick trip over to try Hickys bread Hicky , hope all your various tests turn out well on Thursday Sadly we don’t have a Costco around here ....mind you , as I don’t drive , it wouldn’t be much good if they did  I see there have be quite a few OfCom complaints about Love Island already ....I guess that means it’s a good programme

Anyway , I hope you both have a good evening . Catch you later

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

17c today, sunny intervals, mainly sunny all day, a gentle breeze.

Didn't do a lot, shredded more card to put on the raised beds, the birds seem to like flicking it everywhere.

Had black pud, egg and beans on toast for brekkie, at 2pm had a salad, at 6pm had  2 bowls of mushroom soup followed by a bowl of mussels, then some shortbread and 2 handfuls of cashew nuts, unsalted, now having decaf coffee.

I think these 2 loaves should last me a while, with having 6 pieces after i cut them into 3's and i'm only on my 2nd piece, i had 2 rounds with my brekkie and 2 rounds with my soup, i toast all the pieces as i only like it un-toasted on the day it's made.

I have quite a few cucumbers growing on the 2 plants in the greenhouse, will be giving a lot away even though we eat some ourselves but last year i was giving them away 4 at a time as i had so many.

I have turned the watering system back on in the greenhouse for the cucumber and chili plants, the other 3 tubs are tirned off as they have enough water, if the chili plants don't need water i will turn the tap off on each.

Mollie, I'm going to mention about my Elbow, looked the other night and the dressing was covered in blood, changed the dreessing, my Elbow looked awful, will take a clean dressing with me in case they want to see it and don't have dressings.

I only use the breadmaker to knead the dough now, it goes into bowls to rise, then into the bread pan to prove then straight into the oven to bake, the breadmaker does 30 minutes of knead which i couldn't do.

Baz, Good on you getting money off your utilities, you do have to threaten to leave them.

I think it would be a good idea to do some helping out at the library, well done.

I have done a test on my breathing, temperature and blood oxygen levels as i bought all the equipment to do a pre test, all was fine.

I wonder what the complaints to ofcom are? if they don't like what they see why do they watch it, except so they can complain.

Have a good evening both, just watching inside the factory, black currents.

Not long till L.I.

Hicky

Baz

well done asking at the library, you have a good reason to be feeling pleased with yourself. Takes a lot of courage to even ask., but you have made the first steps for doing something you should enjoy.

And also well done on getting motivated to get money off your bills. Now you have a good excuse to treat yourself to something nice.

Now we have a double reason to wish we could visit Hicky,   he is starting to give away his home garden produce again! (cucumbers 1st this time, I expect to be followed by lots of other delicous sounding foods!).

Hicky

Yes I can understand why you would only like to eat the bread untoasted when freshly made. Bet it makes lovely toast too.

Sorry to hear about your elbow, sounds rather nasty again. Good job you have an appointment coming up so that you can ask someone to look at it. But that's good all your home health tests are fine.

I watched A and E tonight and recorded Love Island.

Yes odd how people complain about these shows, but still seem to watch them.

My arthtirits in feet was bad last night, so went swimming today and it really does help ease it.

Goodnight both , sleep well xxx

M

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Busy housework day chez Baz ....kitchen , bathrooms, hovering , dusting all done....and lawns also mowed . I’ve also filled in that application form , which I’ll drop off tomorrow . I had to do it hard copy , cos the online form doesn’t support Apple

Anyway, hope you have both had an equally productive day   Count me in for free produce I watched A&E last night too ....the burns guy was lucky to get away so lightly ....but how his wife puts up with all his junk is beyond me  Hope your feet are a bit better today Mollie and glad the tests you did at home were good Hicky

Anyway, I hope you both had a good evening . Catch you later

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

A busy day today, very surprised with the weather as it was 17c sunny intervals but the sun was full for most of the day, only a gentle breeze but decided to do a machine of washing while there was no rain and saves me putting stuff to dry in the bungalow , i do have the pulley rail system in the bathroom with an extract fan but so much better outside, anyway it all dried and has been put away.

For brekkie i made an omelette with red onion and grated cheese on top, yummy.

Midday i had a Vietnamese seafood soup, yummy.

Because the birds are throwing my mulch around from the raised beds i got a 10m x 2m bird netting and cut it in half so it's only 1m deep and that gives me 2 nets 20m x 1m which a fastened around 2 of the raised beds.

For tea i had Whitebait, fried in the Wok and a dipping sauce i made with Mayo, Ketchup and chili with mustard, then some shortbread biscuit, just a treat.

Was chatting with my lad and his family in Oz, also the baby, she is so cute.

Mollie, The bread i make is really for toast, probably with being 50/50 and seeded.

I need to see a skin specialist but have to get referred first, it's a mess and just won't heal because the skin is like scar tissue, sometimes a piece comes off and it's like its made of keratin the same as your nails.

Your Artritis could be playing up in your feet because of you standing up at work for so long these last couple of weeks.

I feel so incredibly lucky to be able to go to bed with no pain, i find it hard to believe really.

Baz, I usually give away lots of fruit and veg during the year as it becomes ready, the veg this year is way behind though.

I record A&E so have loads to watch, also many other programs, i just love recording, like task Master probably got about 30 recorded.

You have been busy today, great, hope the application form does through ok.

Have a good Evening Both.

Watching LI now. Poor Lucie Ah.

Hicky

Quick HI from me as I am late posting, been helping son put in for an internship job, and it took a lot longer than intended.

Baz

well done on doing the form. I have had the same type of problems with son's form, we ended up having to print and scan it in, as couldn't just email the copy he had filled in online. You have been busy today.

Hicky

how nice you were chatting with your lad and the baby.

Yes I think you are right, all that standing at work has aggravated the arthritic feet!

Goodnight both xxx

will post properly again tomorrow.

M

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Weather here has been a mixture of sunshine and showers . Bit of a mood dip again today , but I’ve handed the application form in ....first one I’ve had to fill in in nearly two decades Apart from that , my friend didn’t come round cos she tripped and hurt her elbow , so is in A&E at the moment Hope you are all having a good day though .

Hicky , hope you can get to see the skin specialist soon ....sounds a bit nasty Mollie I hope your feet are a bit better today....and fingers crossed for your son’s  internship

Anyway , hope you both have a good evening ....it’s Hotel Inspector for me tonight Take care

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Another sunny day here today, 16c  with moderate breeze.

Had eggs on toast for brekkie, didn't do much in the garden, picked a couple of weeds up.

Went to see Urology at the hospital this afternoon, he didn't want an Xray, just checked the reports etc and signed me off.

For tea had a salad then baked 2 fillets of Place, bg ones.

Have got the shopping list done for the morning.

O/H saw the dressing on my Elbow and wanted to see it, she was horrified, she said it stunk, she said it needs to dry out so we put some dressing on it and bandaged it for now.

Seeing the nurse tomorrow, might ask her to see if i can see the doc or get some help.

Mollie, Would just like to say, if you want to make an email-able copy of any document you just convertit to a PDF file and email as an attachment, do it all the time, you get the free download program called "doPDF 10" when you download it it puts itself into your print system so each time yuou want to print a document it is in the options to print, if you don;'t want a PDF you change the option to your printer, you need to tell where you want the PDF file to be stored, you can then open the PDF file and print it, change the output of course to your printer but you can send the file as an attachment by email or whatever you want.

Here is the link: https://www.dopdf.com/

I see you've had another busy day, take a rest, no hurry.

Baz, Oh dear, thats bad news about your friend hurting herself, and the A&E wait is dreadful, could be up to 4 hours. and also, they say do't go to A&E unless its life threatening.

Thats good, taking the form in, another step passed.

Have a good night both.

Exciting Love Island tonight, another girl going in i see., don't know her name yet though.

Hicky

Hi both xxx

Baz

oh dear what a shame about your friend, not nice at all to end up injured in A and E. Hope they didn't keep her waiting endless hours.

Sorry you had a mood dip, but to be expected after everything you have gone through. But you should feel pleased with yourself after you have taken steps towards doing some voluntary work now .

I usually watch HOtel Inspector but was too busy tonight.

Son's college had a musical on so I went with him to see it.

Hicky

what a relief urology signed you off.

If your elbow looks that bad to your OH and is even smelling, then you really should ask to see a doc. If it goes to an infection, it could make you quite poorly. Hope the nusre can sort a dco out for you tomorrow.

Thank you for the techy help, I am sure I will need this info again.

I now have one and a bit Love Islands to catch up with.

Been real hectic again at home. Had to go to college with son to try and find lecturer. Son submitted one of his assignments but we are unsure if his lecturer got it! He has put him down as zero score and that has lowered all his other scores. We hunted all over the college campesses but couldn't find lecturer, so had to email him. Lecturer said he is looking into it. Son always puts his assignments in on time, but this one had no obvious cut off date, so he is hoping it wasn't too late going in. Oh dear, he has proof he sent it in, but no recorded date on the system the college uses.

Late for getting things ready before  bed, so goodnight both , sleep well xxx

M

Baz and HIcky

Baz

hope you have had a good day. Did you manage to go out anywhere today?

Hopefully you will of had the better weather like we have had today.

I see it is Celeb Gogglebox tonight, I do watch it, but don't enjoy it as much as the usual people on Gogglebox.

Hicky

Did  you manage to get someone to help you out with your bad elbow. And what did she say about your breathing meds?

Hope you had a good day weatherwise too, so could get in your garden.

I went swimming today, as it helps the arthritis.

Then went for tea in the local, buy one get one free pub.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Mollie.

A bit late, forgot what time it was, didn't realise i hadn't posted, been messing with the elbow and getting food.

Quite a nice day, 16c sunny with moderate breeze.

Got all my shopping, wow, 2 massive bags, could hardly carry them in from the car, got lots of fruit and salad stuff, i get the 15 pack og free range assorted eggs, some wholemeal flour, cheese, sauces, mayo, salad cream, love that, tomato, daddies, mini chocolate bars.

Had brekkie in Sainsbury's 2 fried eggs on toast, for tea had a salad then some spare ribs.

Went to see the Nurse, all good with the new inhaler, showed her my elbow, she has made an appointment with a good skin doc for monday, she advised puting the ointment on each morning and in the afternoon rub in moistureising cram, and to make it easy to get at and protect from infection put some Tubigrip elasticated tubular support bandage on, you get 1 m so i cut a piece 15cm and it's good, bought the stuff from the pharmacy at the doctors.

glad to have some sun for my poor plants, about time and it's 1st day of Summer today as well.

Yes, the program doPDF just loads into the computer and always there if you need it, i use a drawing program to design all sorts of pages for the garden or anything, the program is special so of course you couldn't send someone a page but i can print it of course so to send it i just tell it to print to PGF instead of to the real printer than when i go to where i told it to store the file i can print the file or use it to attach to an email or any program.

I wonder what has happened to your lads assindment, oh dear that could be serious.

I managed to get some swing in as well, didn't stay too long as had no sun cream on.

Have a good night.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hi ky  Hope you’re all enjoying the sunshine . Beautiful pic of Stonehenge  I’m shattered I went to town for a couple of odds and sods ...and ended up walking around for over 90 minutes . But I did end up getting some new sandals and some crop trousers , so not a totally wasted trip

Mollie, did you enjoy Gogglebox ? Some of those programmed were Sorry about your sons assignment ....I hope he can sort it out Hicky , hows your elbow ? My friend has a fractured olecranon....luckily it’s not displaced , so no plaster as yet ....but she’s back at the fracture clinic next week , so we will see then .

Anyway , I hope you both have a good evening . Take care

Baz

Evening Baz, can't see Mollie.

A glorious day here at 21c with sun and a gentle breeze.

Just had 2 fried eggs on 2 rounds of my toast.

At midday i made 2 Ham salad sandwiches, yummy, bought loads of salad stuff this week so i wouldn't run out, last week had to borrow some off o/h.

Have changed the spray heads used on the tubs in the greenhouse, instead of the spray head i have fitted like a mini sprinkler head, i will set them up in the morning when the greenhouse watering comes on at 09:25.

For tea i made a stirfry with a Ribeye steak sliced and diced to go with it, had bought a pack of stir fry veg and a pack of fresh been-sprouts.

Had a swing in the sun again, not long as didn't have the cream on.

Just watched F1 pole challenge, Lewis Nd Bottas again, wow.

I am going to put the ointment on my elbow in the morning and the cream on in the afternoon and then see what the doc says Monday, been reading about it on the web, it says ins not curable, its inherited, but i got rid of it on my right elbow.

Baz, 90 minutes is a long time to walk around, i would be worn out.

Any problem with or on an elbow is awful because of the way it bends at that point, it just kept opening the wound, tried for so long to get it too heal.

Have a good Evening and a good day tomorrow.

the forecst here for the next 2 weeks shows the temperature each day between 20 and 26, the night temperature is 13c or above, that will do me.

In Oz with the accomodation always having air con i spent a lot of time trying to control the temperature, in one big suite every room had it's own temperature controls, i liked to set the temperature to about 23c with a slow fan or else i felt cold.

I might leeve the central heating on all summer as apart from using the battery in the controller it will only come on if needed as the time and temperature are all set in the controller, it has 6 time intervals you can use and each interval can be set as you want it, of course you could set the times for each day if you wanted.

I did have the wireless controller but it kept losing sync so i binned it and fitted a wired controller using the same cable that the system used, very easy to change over, only took an hour or so and that was getting the hole through from the hall cupboard to the fitting position in the hall.

Hicky

both xxx

Baz

no wonder you were tired after your shopping spree. But at least you are ready for summer weather now with new sandals and crop trousers.

I did enjoy Gogglebox but as you say, I was at some of it, especially the apple pie bit. I find Rylan and the way he cringes with his mum the funniest. I heard him saying before the show aired that when he filmed it, he spent most of the time real embarressed watching stuff with his mum and at some of the stuff she said.   But I am still missing our old familiars from Gogglebox.

Hicky

glad you had a good day weather wise, we did too.

Let's hope the problem elbow can go away, there is hope if the other elbow cleared up. I bet you enjoyed your stir fry.

Have you heard of this bread? Pumpernickel?

https://www.healthbenefitstime.../pumpernickel-bread/

I had some for tea with cheese and salad. It is new to Asda's in store bakery section and real delicious.

You did well fitting the wired controller yourself. (and in around an hour).

We went to costco for food shopping today and had some lunch there too. I had my usual fave of jacket potato with beans/cheese.

Am catching up on last night's Love Island , as I watched Gogglebox instead. And I find it difficult to find anything else good to watch Saturdays.

My hay fever was awful today ... constant runny nose and very itchy eyes so had to take the stronger anti histamine, but at least it has worked and calmed down now.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Looks like rain here at the moment ....and I hope it doesn’t disappoint cos I’ve just put some plants in .....some New Guinea impatiens and a chrysanthemum.  Aside from that my daughter and her partner have been over ....hence being able to get to the garden centre ....we also went to M&S and grabbed some lunch and stocked up with goodies Hope you’re all having a good day too .

Mollie , I like the dynamic between Rylan and her mum tooAnd yes , the apple pie section was Hope you’re hay fever is a bit easier today ...although given the pollen count I doubt it  Hicky , we leave our central heating in too and use the thermostat to control it . Hope your elbow is a bit better now.   Are you still enjoying LI ?

Anyway , I hope you both enjoy the rest of your Sunday and evening .

Baz

Evening Both.

20c today, sunny intervals till afternoon when a couple of light rain showers could arrive, a moderate breeze as well.

Did a couple of things today, realised when i fit the 7 sprinkler heads in the greenhouse tubs they don't get enough water because a bank of fruit trees are also on the same cimed section, which makes 7 sprinkler heads and 11 spray heads, so to solve the problem i have ordered another timer computer so i can have a timer for the greenhouse as i have now but will break into the pipe going to the 11 soray heads in the fruit trees and put a watering timer in there so each section can have more pressure on their own, the greenhouse can have 09:25 to 09:40 and the other tubs in Zone 3 can have 09:40 to 09:50.

Had bacon and egg sandwiches for brekkie.

Made 4 portions of Hotpot this afternoon, put it into 4 nice size pie dishes i had bought some time ago, anyway, started with 500g of beef mince, nice veg, stock and spices, a pan of sliced potatoes par boiled, had 2 portions for tea as it was so nice, freezing the other 2.

Mollie, I see that new bread is a Rye bread, can't see me changing to any more types any time soon, the strange breads are just too hard to make.

Costco again, it's a good source of goodies for you, can't blame you.

Baz, You have done well then, driven out to the garden centre, M&S, the beaty of having children close by, very handy.

I don't have a separate thermostat, it is bult in to the programmable controller so the hourly, daily summer setting stay in for the year, i don't need to touch it now, it is all automatic.

Have a nice night, watching f1 now, then LI, love it, then LI aftersun.

Hicky

Baz and Hicky

Baz

hope your new plants take well. How nice you got a trip out to the garden centre and M and S for lunch with a few treats. I like M and S foodhall.

I am glad to say I took an antihistamine tablet before bed, and I slept real well, woke up very thirsty but hey, it did the trick, no runny nose or sore itchy eyes today.

Hicky

hope your watering system works out ok. Gosh it does sound technical to me. But of course you are good at doing stuff like that.

You are well set up now wiht your hotpot.

Yes I expect the rye breads would be very difficult to make. I enjoyed it so much, I bought 3 loaves yesterday as I don't go to asda too often, 3 have gone in freezer. They have quite large seeds on the outside, so they make it even tastier.

I watched Indian train journey tonight, with Trevor Mcdonald, if you haven't seen it, I really enjoyed it and recommend it, it was fascinating.

Then I watched the 1st episode of Beecham house, again set in India. Loved the costumes and scenery, looks a promising series.

Went for brekkie at Weatherspoon today, as good as ever.

Then it was the dogs home open day. They were lucky with the weahter as rain was promised, but it didn't come till after 1pm and it was due to close by 3, so could of been a lot worse. I won a bottle of rose in the tombola.

It was a charity day and they had lots of people there. They had stalls and doggie shows. Aaaww they walked some doggies round who were looking for homes. They had a beautiful white akita/husky dog and they said unfortunately they have had a lot of those to rehome because some  (idiot!) dog owners saw them on Game of Thrones, so fancied one, but then decide they can't look after them, so dump them for rehoming. And they inevitably need training. (because these sort of owners haven't done that).

Seems very warm and humid tonight after the showers.

Oh well guess it is summer now.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Mollie.

19c today, thunderstorms threatened but never arrived, been a lovely day., gentle breeze as well.

Had 3 eggs on my toast for brekkie, nice, didn't have anything midday, must have forgot, probably with going to the doctor at 2:50

Iy was interesting, he doesn't think my elbow is Plaque Psoriasis at all with it not have inflamed red areas, he was looking in books to find an ointment to put on and leave an hour then wash off. he found one and sent a prescription through but they didn't have it in stock till tomorrow, darn it.

I mentioned that i still have astrange cough with nothing to cough up, he looked into my medication and said, it will be the Ramipril, stop taking them, that cough is a side effect., try the new cream and stop the Ramipril and see me in 2 weeks, he said the cream should get rid of the surface crusty skin so he can see whats underneath.

For tea i used a frozen madras curry from my freezer and made a Biryani, nice and quick.

My new water timer doesn't come till Friday, should have paid the extra to get it quick, now i have to keep turning a tap i installed in the line, off/on each day, but tomorrow i'm at Arrowe Park Hospital for my eye appointment.

I have seen programs of the Indian Railway, fantastic.

Well done winning a bottle, you wouldn't catch at a place like that, don't have time to look after a dog, and o/h can't stand to be near one, she was bitten as a girl delivering Brown Shrimps to a customer.

Have a good night.

On Love Island, isn't Yewandi strange, asking Danny what he wanted from their relationship, she is so cold, and seems to have to plan to show some affection, i really hope Danny gets out while he has the chance.

LI Aftersun was very good as well.

Hicky

Baz and HIcky

Not a bad day here either, despite the storm/rain warnings. Forecast to get very hot and humid later in the week, don't fancy that at all though!

Hicky

Hope the new ointment does help clear your elbow problem. (when you eventually get it). How interesting the ramipril side effect is causing the cough. Makes you wonder if you had the x ray for nothing if it was the meds causing the cough. That is the trouble, everything we take has a side effect and it takes time to work out what meds suit us best. But hopefully now they have worked out what was causing the cough, if you ditch the rampiri then the cough will go, and the ointment will be better suited to you.

Hope your eye appointment goes ok tomorrow. Do you have a lift or need a taxi?

No wonder your wife doesn't like dogs if she got bitten by one as a girl. The dogs at the open day were all on leads, so it was fine. I didn't even take mine as she is elderly now and it is too much for her to go out for long, and she can't walk far at all.

Yes Yewlandi is strange, treats him cold, but expects him to hang onto her for convenience sakes and not talk to others.

Strange day today, looked like rain, but didn't rain at all , just stayed cloudy. Can't complain as it was warm but not too hot (yet anyway).

Going to watch part 2 of Beecham House tonight, enjoyed the great costumes, and set of part 1, looks like the story is going to develop now  too.

Have a good evening both xxx
