Evening Everyone.

15c today, light rain showers with a fresh breeze.

Had 2 crumpets for brekkie, at 2pm had a Vietnamese seafood noodle soup, fo tea had a Lobster with some Mussels.

Didn't do anything in the garden, did a bit in the greenhouse, just supporting the plants.

Pleased that Lewis won the Monaco grand Prix, what a driver.

Got 2 appointments at the eye clinic tomorrow, the 1st one with the consultant that operated on the Lesion  and an appointment nearly 3 hours later with the usual eye test and pictures, will see if i can get the 2nd one moved forward.

A pretty miserable Bank Holiday Monday though, shame for the youngsters

Hope you all had a lovely day, whatever the weather..

Hicky

Hicky and Baz

Hicky

how lovely your little grandaughter gets so excited each week she sees you on skype.

That's nice you got to get some things done in your greenhouse.

Baz

pity there are no buses on bank hols so it means you can't get out. Good job it is only the one day.

Yes I am sure MrB would of been pleased to have known you had helped save one of your internet friends from being ripped off by these damn car parking people.

Not a bad day here today, quite windy, but at least it was dry unitl some showers after 7pm.

Got lots of washing dried before then though.

Am enjoying watching BGT now, then Corrie after.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Not too bad today, had a slight rain shower early morning, 15c though with sun this afternoon.

Had a round of toast before the eye clinic, had 2 appointments, 1st one was with the consultant that operated on the Lesions by my left eye and sent a biopsy off from one, anyway all good, only blocked blood vessels so she discharged me. on the other eye appointment they do an eye test then give me the eye drops which mean i can't see very well for 6 hours, then they take pictures, they then said i could go home and they will send me the next appointment, didn't even need to see the AMD doctor, wow.

I checked the watering system in the greenhouse at 09:25 am, trying to get the spray head of each at the best height so i don't have too much over-spray.

The baby Wallnut tree is doing fine, think i will repot it, might make a new pot same as those in the greenhouse for the veg as it gives me a handle so it can be moved around.

Yes, seeing the granddaughter in Oz is great, we can also see the change week by week.

My new brad tin came today, did i tell you my relation that came, he was married to my o/h sister, but she died, he makes his own bread and sent me his recipe and showed me the bread tin he uses.

The one i bought was 30cm long and is non stick, he cuts the loaves into sections and freezes them, he said when thawed you couldn't tell it wad been frozen.

Had a portion of my hot and sour soup before, from my freezer, for tea i have made a spice/sugar rub to put on 700g of pork spare ribs, they are in the oven now, looking forward to them.

Not watching BGT till the final as that idiot David has put through to many useless acts, they do it so the remainder of the shows have plenty of acts to kick out, i don't like that.

Hicky

Hicky and Baz

That is brilliant news that you got on so well at the eye clinic.

Sounds a bit tricky trying to sort that watering out but our weather has been so changable lately, I bet the temperature has been quite varied in your greenhouse.

That is good the walnut tree is surviving.

I think you had mentioned the relative who was married to your OH's sister. But not that he was a bread maker too. You will have to let us know how his recipe goes.

Yes there are quite a few rubbish acts, but I am still enjoying watching BGT because some of the acts are good.

We went to Cardiff this morning and at 9.45am , there were queues outside the concert hall (brollys up as raining too!). It was the Olly Muirs concert and the doors didn't open till 6.30! Gosh those fans have some staying power. It was the Spice Girls in Cardiff last night, but I heard the sound was not too good.

Whilst in town, I had a lovely blueberry cheesecake and latte in John Lewis cafe.

Hope you have had a good day Baz.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Mollie and Hicky Just popped in to say night night ... hope you both had a good day . Glad your eyes are ok Hicky . I never got into BGT , but I’ll have some of that cheesecake Mollie . I’ve had a lovely day , met up with two FMs .....had our nails done , and a lovely lunch ....and lots of giggles ....so all in all not a bad day .

Anyway , night night , sleep well and sweet dreams both

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Weather not so good today, light rain showers with 15c temperatures and moderate breeze.

Went to the Podiatry lady today to get my toe nails cut, walked back home as it is only about a mile or less, only stopped once for 2 minutes.

Had a round of toast for brekkie then we went to the Farm shop, got some lovely fruit, meats and ribs and steak and other bits and pieces, got a kilo of back bacon, and 12 long pork sausages, oh, got 2 pork pies as well which a had when i got home.

Did a bit in the greenhouse, am working on the new bucket conversion for the Walnut trees new home, with the bucket i can move it around easier.

Had a double helping of Laksa noodle soup for tea, will get some of the crumbly cheese i bought as well, with some chutney.

Making a loaf in the morning, the new 30cm bread pan came, it is similar to what my relation uses.

I will watch the BGT final then i know it should have the best acts showing.

My relative who maked the bread Lives in Suffolk.

Wow, didn't realise Olly was that popular, he is nice, oh dear, the Spice Girls will be disappointed if the sound had problems.

That cheesecake sounds nice, i can it a small portion as it seems to be a bit sickly to me.

Yes Baz, very pleased with my eye tests for this month, hope it stays like that.

That was nice meeting up and having lunch with 2 FM, and lots of giggles, that can make a good day even better.

Have a good night, sleep tight, hope the bed bugs don't bite.

Hicky

Hi both xxx

Baz

HOpe you are having a good day.

So glad to hear you had such a nice day yesterday with giggles, lunch and nail pampering. (FM? does that stand for forum members you met up with?).

Hicky

you are doing well if you walked all the way back from the foot people with only a 2 minute stop. Those last anitbiotics must of finally done the trick and got rid of that bad chest.

Nice for you to get shopping from  a local farm shop.

Hope you enjoyed the home baked loaf.

Suffolk is a long journey to get up to you. Don't think I have ever been to that area.

Weather not good all day today.... cool, OH's car showing only 11c, and raining all day. Not to worry, I do get a bit fed up when it is too hot day after day.

Enjoying BGT, I liked John Archer the comedian so far.

Went to a friends house today as she is disabled, so my daughter is helping her by stripping her wall paper off, with OH's steamer. She has made a good start any way. I helped occupy her 4 year old twin great grand daughters as it is half term, by reading Winnie the Pooh to them.winnie the pooh

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky Hope you’ve all had a nice day . Mollie , I love Winnie the Pooh  FM is forum member ....the two I met this were Ducky and Scatts Hicky sounds like your chest is back to normal .

My daughter and family have been over and done the deed on the pergola ( which made me quite sad , as Mr B built it ...but it needed doing , so ). They also lopped a tree into shape  .... which wasn’t before time !  Apart from that I’ve had my hair cut and been to the spa and had a lovely facial ....so I now look 21 again ...with a bag over my head , .in the dark We are off down  south to my sons for the day on Saturday so I need to go to town tomorrow and get some bits and bobs .

Anyway , have a good evening both

Baz

Hi HIcky and Baz

Hope it was nice enough for you to get in your garden today Hicky.

Started wet here today, but dried up later.

I went swimming today , as the arthritis in my ankle and feet had got a lot worse. and swimming does help.

Son goes to the gym whilst I am in the pool , so that is handy as I can get a lift with him.

Baz

how lovely you have met friends you can meet up with from the forum. Sounds like you had a lovely day out with them.

Sorry to hear you felt sadness about the pergola whilst it was sorted out. Nice of your daughter and family to sort it and the tree out though.

A good idea for you to have a bit of relaxation and pampering with a nice facial and hair cut.

How nice you are off for a day out visitng your son on Saturday. We have a good forecast for Saturday too.

I have been enjoying watching BGT again tonight.

Son has been at the theatre since 9.30 this morning, he is helping stage manage the youngsters for their Junior drama show. Good job he enjoys it was he has been working long hours all week. I am going with friends to see it on Saturday.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Pretty warm today here at 20c but light cloud for a lot of the morning, sunny in the afternoon, fresh breeze though.

Had bacon, egg, mushroom, black pudding, tomato and crumpets for brekkie.

Made a loaf in the new tine but messed up a bit as i added Barley Malt Flour to the mix forgetting the Essex 6 Seed Flour has got Barley Malt Flour in it at 8%, the loaf isn't too bad but the center isn't as dry as it should be, It's nice though, have ordered another of the tins so i can make 2 loaves at once, i can then cut them up and freeze as i believe you can't tell it was frozen when you thaw it.

Have ordered more of the moisture probes, i have one that i use but want to put one in each of the veg buckets in the greenhouse.

At midday tried a piece of the bread, it was ok, then i tried a slice toasted, that was nice as well, going to make another loaf tomorrow to see if i can get it right, it was white bread flour with 6 seed bread flour, but i added 25g of Malted flour and 100g of wholemeal, i only need to add the Malt Flour is i add my own seeds.

For tea i had a rack of salt and pepper ribs.

Mollie, My chest infect must have gone as i'm not coughing anything up now, and haven't need to use the blue inhaler although i carry it with me.

Yes, the farm shop is very handy, they have some really lovely fruit and veg, also all the special types of jams, chutneys curry sauces etc, and of course the meat counter is the same company that we use when we go to their shop.

That is nice of your daughter helping out with your friends decorating chores.

That was nice reading Winnie the Pooh to those 2 youngsters.

Yes the swimming will help with the arthritis, keep it up.

Baz, glad you got the Pergola fixed, better than letting it deteriorate further.

You have had a busy day, that will be nice going down South to your Sons, hope the trip goes well for you.

Had to watch some recording as everything i put on was a repeat, so annoying.

Hicky

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Warmish today, 21c but light cloud till this afternoon, a moderate breeze.

Didn't do a lot today, had bacon mushrooms and baked beans for brekkie.

Pulled a few more weeds from the blue slate on the deck, it doesn't have roots that go into soil as i don't have soil under foot.

I have put another piece of salf cod into water to soak for Sunday morning, will change the water continuous and when i simmer the fish to eat i will change the water and again.

I have 2 of the moisture probes in 2 of the greenhouse plants but when the new ones come next week each plant will have it's own, i want to constantly monitor the moisture level.

The greenhouse vine (Autumn Royal) has flowered and some trusses are about 1 ft long, massive, very pleased.

O/H is in the process of making arrangements to go and visit my Brread making Relative for a few days in August by Train 1st class.

For tea i had 3 bowls of hot and sour soup from a container from the freezer i made not long ago, then had 2 buger patties with the other half of the baked beans from this morning.

My shopping arrived, 2 packs of strawberries, a chirizo, cheeze, mini chocolate bars, 2 packs of fantastic pork spare ribs and 2 packs of fresh oven chips.

Just watched the Amazon river, wow.

Hicky

Hi Hicky and Baz

Baz

hope you have a good day tomorrow on your trip down South, and that you managed to get all you wanted at the shops to take with you.

Hicky

that's good the weeds don't have roots, make it a whole lot easier.

That's good your loaf tasted ok even though the making process didn't go quite as planned.

That should  be nice visiting your relative if you are doing 1st class. I like 1st class train, haven't done it in awhile, they used to give you lots of free snacks, but I did hear on the news they were going to cut back as people were eating too much of them! (must of been me and my daughter to blame!)...

That will keep you busy sorting each plants watering out.

The vine souds lovely, can you manage to do a photo please?

You have a good variety on your shopping list.

We went to Lidl shopping today, got some lovely raspberries and strawberries, and a good choice of choccy ice creams and conrettos.

Wet this morning, then cleared up this afternoon.

Enjoyed BGT, but wasn't so keen on the acts tonight, as the other nights. Final should be good though.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Good Evening Mollie & Baz.

19c today, light rain showers with gentle breeze.

Had a few deliveries today, my strawberry plants came, also the tub of Kirkland Omega 3 oil tablets, also the 8 soil monitor sensors came and the other bread pan came as well.

I made another loaf this morning, half wholemeal and half plain with added seeds and a tbsp of malt flour, it turned out very well.

I planted the strawberry plants, they are bare root, fitted the 7 soil moisture sensors as well, all reading 5 which is moist on the 1 to 10 scale.

Had bacon and egg for brekkie, had a Vietnamese seafood soup while i wait for the pork spare ribs to cook, am trying them at 107c for 2 hours covered then 1 hour uncovered.

Baz, hope your trip has gone well, see you when you return.

Mollie, Yes, 1st class on the railway is pretty good, wouldn't travel any other way if we don't have to.

Theres not much to photograph on the vine at the moment as the flowers can't really be seen as they are only about 1mm, as soon as there is something to see i'll get a picture.

O/H won't go to Lidl, she doesn't like the food range they have, i wouldn't mind.

I'll watch the BGT final to see who made it, at least they should be reasonable.

1st of June all ready, wow, what happened to May.

Hicky

Hicky xxx

your Kirkland is the Costco brand isn't it? We got some vitamins from them in the winter.

glad your loaf turned out well, it sounds delicious.

Great I;ll look forward to your photo when there is more to see.

How long wil it take for your strawberries to be ready?

Today we went to see the Junior drama groups musical. My son was working backstage for them. I went with daughter, and 2 friends (the one who used to care for my mum) and their grandaughter. We all enjoyed it. It was so warm,we sat on seafront and ate chips and ice cream before the show. The 4-5 year olds in the show were all so cute, they were dressed in bright Chinese type silky outfits, and joined in with the dancing/singing. No wonder my son is tired after a full day working back stage with them, there must of been around 150 kiddies, all under 14!  He really enjoys it though.

Seems quite humid today as well as hot, it was showing 25c in OH's car.

Not much on tv tonight, have settled for Brian Cox, the physics guy about the Planets.

HOpe Baz has had a good day at her sons.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Mollie.

19c today, with cloud light rain, sunny intervals, sun and a fresh breeze.

Had my saltfish with bacon and poached egg for brekkie, lovely too, i had soaked it longet to get rid of more salt.

I plantd the 2 melons in the greenhouse buckets, also planted the Walnut tree, have turned off the watering again for the greenhouse as all the moisture meters are reading moist.

For tea i cooked the Jacobs Ladder rib and did some oven chips and gravy, very nice.

The strawberry plants seem to be doing ok for now, more growth all ready.

Just going to watch BGT final.

Yesa, i always try and get Kirkland brand, i like it,

I think the strawberries are later summer, and as i've just planted them bare root i suppose it will be September maybe.

That was nice going to see the junior drama group musical with your daughter and friends.

Chips and ice cream on the sea fron, can't be bad.

I saw some of Brian Cox, but the music put me off, didn't see the point.

Hicky

Hicky

your weather sounds similiar to ours today.

Glad you enjoyed the saltfish.

Hope the melons and walnut come on well, it will be nice to have your own stawberries the end of summer.

OH just cut our grass, there was more daisies than grass.

Went to Cardiff to see Shrek as son knew someone acting in it. I also knew him as he was my aqua fit instructor. It was only an amateur show, but enjoyable.

Am enjoyaing watching BGT final now. At least we have a good variety of acts this year.

Have a good evening. xxx

M

Evening Mollie and Hicky  Hope you’re both  having a good Weekend  ...and enjoy the BGT final. I’m shattered both physically and emotionally after my trip yesterday .....so done naff all today ....bar one load of washing .

But in the end I had a good day with my son and DIL ....if a mite costly Their new house renovations are fantastic ...and I fell in love with a swivel *cuddle chair * that they have , so I ended up going out and ordering one It means that I can now keep the sofa bed we bought for Mr B last year   ....which is great as bed , but not so comfortable to sit on  Well that’s my excuse and I am sticking to it  It means rearranging the existing furniture a bit , but it will go in quite comfortably with some jigging Now all I’ve got to do is wait 8 weeks for delivery

Anyway , night night , sleep tight

Baz

Good Evening Mollie & Baz.

A rather nice day here today with 18c and wall to wall sun all day, a fresh breeze though.

Had bacon, sausage, tomato and egg, also toast for brekkie.

Didn't do a lot today, put more support up in the greenhouse for the 2 cucumber plants.

The moisture meters still say moist so will leave the watering off for the greenhouse again.

Picked a few more weeds from the slate, they grow when we haven't had much rain, never seen a weed die through lack of sustenance or attention.

For tea had a home made veg soup from my freezer, then a chicken stir-fry also from the freezer, then a tin of fruit with custard.

Love island starts tonight, love it.

Mollie, Yes, the salt cod was very good, i have plenty of meals of it left, will only have it say once a month to make it last.

Everything growing very well, have got some fruit trees to feed this week, i didn't think the strawberry plants would have taken off so soon, i put a temporary wire net cover over the plants to stop the birds digging up worms etc around them.

That was nice, Shrek, interesting, glad you enjoyed it, and your Aqua instructor in it as well.

I watch the BGT final, wanted the school children to win.

Baz, Yes, best take it easy after your trip, it does take it out of you, that swivel cuddly chair sounds nice, it is worth rearranging the existing layout to get your new chair were you want tit.

Pity you have to wait so long for it to be delivered, it sounds as though they only make them when you order one.

Have a nice night both of you.

Baz

your new comfy chair sounds so  lovely and relaxing, I am sure it will be worth the long wait. Always handy to keep a sofa bed in case of visitors.

Glad to hear you had a good day with son and DIL, but a good idea to take it easy today.

Hicky

thats good you had a decent day weather wise, we did too.

Weeds are such a nuisance how they seem to thrive whatever the weather!

Glad everything is growing well. I hope those birds and worms keep away now you have done the netting!

Got some new sandals today as most of my old ones seem to make the arthritis in my feet worse. They have soft insides, but are still sparkly and bright, but at least the soft soles help the arthritis.

Also a ladies clothes shop in town is closing down,so I got a dress for ÂĢ10 (reduced from ÂĢ36) and  blouse for ÂĢ10 reduced from ÂĢ28.

Am working the rest of this week now, with a double shift on Friday, so am hoping the arthtitic knees/feel hold up ok.

Enjoyed BGT final, yes Hicky the kididies were lovely, such a good mix of acts last night.

Am going to watch "7Up", at 9 on itv tonight.... the show that has followed people with updates since they were 7 years old, I think they are age 63 now.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Mollie.

Cooler today with 15c light rain showers and a gentle breeze.

Had beans on toast for brekkie, had a wander around the garden.

Enjoyed the start of Love Island last night, 8 weeks of something to watch besides recordings, pity no BB though.

Had a Vietnamese seafood soup, love it and it makes 2 soup bowls full, yummi, then thawed a pack of chicken wings, had them for tea, made some dip from mayo, tom sauce, salad cream and chili sauce.

Been watching Border Force, love Tipping Point, Egg Heads, The Farmers Country Showdown, will record 63 (7up) as it clashes.

You mentioned Birds and Worms, not Worms, love them, they feed the plants by taking the dead leaves from the soil down and the worm hole air-rate the ground, i never harm a worm.

I love Sandals as well, thats all i wear outside in the summer, i know it's not summer yet but i am back in short pants and Sandals, with short sleeved shirtsi don't wear socks in the summer either, i wear Crocs in the house.

All i wore in Oz was what i am in now.

That was a good price to get those clothes, always handy if a shop closes, pity though i suppose.

Hicky

Hicky

Beans on toast for brekkie, that is my fave brekkie too. Trouble is, I like it with lots of butter on my toast.

Cooler here today, but that was good in a way for me,as I was working and it was far too hot the last times I have worked. Better for the kids whilst taking the exams too, as it was making them real tired and hard for them to concentrate in the heat.

That's nice you are still enjoying your soup, soup is good for you too.

Didn't realise worms were so useful in your garden.

Yes it is a shame all these shops are closing down, must be because so many are ordering online as it is easier, and cheaper by the time you take petrol and car parking costs into account.

Quite busy at work today as there were a lot of students taking English Language exam today. Another poor girl felt sick, so I had to take her out of the exam hall for awhile. Such a stresfull time for them.

Work again in the morning, we leave about 7.30am , so I have to be organised.

Am looking forward to the update on 7Up tonight, last night was an introduction to it. Amazing how they are still following these people 56 years later!

Hope Baz had a good day.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Mollie and Hicky Hope you’ve both had a good day . I had bereavement counselling yesterday , and it always wipes me out a bit ....but I think it’s helping . Got my act together today though , and caught up on the housework at last  I also picked up my amalgamated  wedding ring yesterday ( mine and my husbands ) , and am pleased with the job they did ....it feels right . I’m off to watch Bake Off now , but will pop back later for a read back catch up

Baz

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky Hope you are both having a more exciting day than I am The highlight of my day was the swatch for my new cuddle chair arriving ....luckily it matches perfectly with my decor , even though at the time I matched it up to a photo of the wrong curtains ....don’t ask! Anyway , now all I’ve got to do is wait til mid July for it to be delivered!

Hope your knees are holding up ok Mollie ....sounds like you got a bargain at the clothes shop though  Hicky, they were talking about how beneficial worms are on Springwatch the other day ...it was fascinating . I’ve not got into Love Island ....although I do really miss BB .....the thought of watching plastic young things mate doesn’t appeal

Anyway , the ironing awaits ...oh joy ...catch you later

Baz

Good Evening Mollie & Baz.

Weather a bit better today, dry and 16c light cloud, sunny at times, winds are of moderate breeze.

Not done a lot as i watch most of the TV showing the DD Commemorations.

Had beans on oven chips with toast for brekkie.

Fot tea made a Chinese hot and sour soup with a pack of the sup mix and added a sliced up breast of chicken and a bowl of mixed frozen ve, peas, peppers, carrots, green beans and chopped onion with some sliced spring onions, just had 1 portion as it made a pan-full, will put in containers and freeze the rest.

Then i had a Spag Bol from my freezer.

The Glucosamine and Chondroitin i ordered from Amazon came, it was Kirkland, used to get it from Costco but they stopped selling it, it came from the USA.

Mollie, You have been busy at work, careful you don't do too much, can you still sit while in the class? thats an early start for you.

I was confused with the 7up last night as i found it hard to follow them from year to year.

I'll record tonight's 7up anyway, will have to watch last nights again to fully understand it.

Baz, I understand that it would be upsetting to even discuss things with in counselling session, but it is needed to help ease the pain.

Your amalgamated ring sounds fantastic, never actually heard of that before, a wonderful memory for you.

Yes, its a long time to wait for you delivery, but you have plenty of time to re-arrange the room for it.

And time fly's so it won't be that long to wait, i sometimes wait longer than that for an appointment.

Hicky

Hicky and Baz

Baz

hope you are having a good day.

yes I can understand how the counselling session would take it out of you. It must be such a painfully emotional time for you, but I am glad you say you think it is helping you.

What a lovely idea to get an amalgamated wedding ring.  Like HIcky, I had never heard of it before. If it felt the right thing for you to to, then it definately was the right thing for you to do as a lovely reminder of your life together with your husband.

How lucky the swatch matched up perfectly despite your mistake with the wrong curtains!

Hicky

Sounds like you have a good portion of your favourite soup to enjoy when you fancy it now.

Wonder why they stopped selling the Kirkland stuff you wanted at Costco? Good job you managed to get hold of it via the States though.

I have only seen the highlights of the DD on news items. Such a good thing they are doing this commemoration, especially at a time whilst some of the veterans are still with us. What a terrible thing war is when you hear some of their stories. My father was only a teenager when he had to join the navy as a gunner. He, like all those others his age, must of been terrified.

Busy time at work again. Some of the lads are so funny, they get bored and restless at exam time.  I had another upset girl yesterday. Poor thing. She was in tears because she thought she had finished the exam paper too soon , so might not of done it right.

Yes Hicky, luckily my chair has remained in place, so when I am tired I can sit in it. Don't think I could of done this job without it, as I am still on my feet quite a lot. But I enjoy the job working with the youngsters.

Last episode of 7Up tonight. They are following each one through one at a time, so we have the 3 last ones tonight, so hopefully you should be able to follow it tonight Hicky.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Mollie .

16c today with light rain showers and sunny intervals, wind is a gentle breeze.

Had a few chips with bacon and black pud for brekkie as chips needed to be eaten up.

Have got flowers coming on Toms and Cucumber plants all ready, planted the 3rd melon in with one of the other melon plants in the greenhouse as i don't think it will survive outside.

The wind eased so i got the spray loaded with Captain Jacks Deadbug which is concentrated and is Organic and kills anything that attacks fruit or veg., i bought the concentrated because you get so much, it comes from the US though, i start spraying against Codling Moth usually mid June but it's better to be safe than sorry, i have enough to make hundreds of litre's, only need 3 at a time.

For tea had Mushroom soup, 2 portions, then had some pork spare ribs.

Just made the shopping list out for the morning, i only need fruit, mushrroms, eggs, anchor spread, chicken stock cubes, frozen peas, i have loads of ingredients to make meals either in the cupboard or in the freezer so i don't need to buy in meals.

Watching "Escape to the Chateau" couldn't see anything to watch, always got loads of recordings.

I think maybe Costco stopped selling the Kirkland Glucosamine tablets was because i have had to pay ÂĢ39.99 for them, like when the Alaskan crab legs went up in price noone could afford them, they doubled the price per kilo.

It must be upsetting to see the girl crying, i wonder if she missed out a page or something.

Yes, it's a good job you are allowed to have your chair, standing is very hard for us.

I have all the 7up ones recorded anyway so can watch them all again when it finishes.

Good Evening Everyone.

16c today, clouds rain sun, all mixed up, with a moerate wind.

Had brekkie in Sainsbury's, wasn't impressed tbh, o/h had suggested i got a taxi down as she was working and finishing at 10am so we could meet up when she finished work.

She wanted me to get my own shopping list items as it's hard for her with being in uniform as everyone stops her with questions even though she has a shopping trolley.

Got all my items but couldn't find the shortbread thins, she rang me to see where i was, i was in aisle 15, she came over to the aisle, they had run out as the empty space was marked.

Did a bit of tidying in the greenhouse, wanted to do a few jobs in the garden but the threat of rain stopped me.

For midday 2pm snack, i had 2 sandwiches with lettuce, spring onion, pickled onion, cheese and salad cream, yummy.

For tea had a portion of hot and sour soup, 2 bowls, and a few oven chips with fried egg.

Watching the Farmers Country Showdown, it's great watching all the animals at the shows getting judged.

Hope you have recovered from all the school work Mollie, thats a lot to take on.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Hope you’re both  enjoying your Saturday .

My daughter is working this weekend , but partner and my grandson have been over to do a bit of tidying up in the garden , and they also ran me to M&S for some food shopping  ....so not a bad day....in spite of the fact it’s cold and rainy!

Baz

Evening BAZ.

Not a very nice day here, 14c light rain and a moderate breeze.

Couldn't do anything in the garden, potted about in the greenhouse for a bit.

Had edd sandwiches for brekkie, had some fruit during the day.

For tea took a Madras Chicken curry from the freezer, cooked some rice and made fried rice

Been watching some recordings as TV not so good all the time, i watch James Martin in the morning on Saturday, Sunday Brunch on Sunday.

Tonight Tipping Point, Catchphrase, Harry Hill, record The Voice Kids so i can watch Love Island unseen bits. then at 10:5- F1 qualifying from Canada.

Sorry to hear you had a bad day Friday.

That was handy having your Daughters feller come over and give you a hand, lovely to see grandchildren as well.

Wonder where Molly is, she didn't pop in yesterday at all.

Hope Sunday is better for you, it looks a nice day here.

Hicky

Hi Hicky and Baz

Baz

sorry you had a horrible day on Friday. Glad to hear you had a better day today though. How handy you got a lift to M and S , they have some yummy food in their food hall, and how nice your daughter's partner and grandson came to help in your garden whilst your daughter was at work.

Have you found anything interesting to watch on tv tonight? I am struggling tonight with tv, but am at my neighbour's house looking after their dog whilst they are out.

Hicky

sorry your brekkie was not that good in Sainsburys. Interestingly OH and I had lunch there one day last week and I was not impressed at all either. Lots of better places to eat out and cheaper too than there.

Weather was not good here today either, a very cold wind, so am not surprised you gave the garden a miss.

I think I too will give up on live tv and watch recordings, even though I do prefer watching stuff live. But it is not good tv now, which is what usually happens in summer.

Yesterday I didn't post because I was real busy at work because I had a double all day shift and  I was just too exhausted after that I couldn't even go on my lappy last night and headed for bed just after 9 to rest the achy limbs.

I only have 2 days left of this job to do next week. I have really enjoyed it, but have found it very tiring. The boss said she was very pleased with how things had gone after she sat me at the back of the hall though because I was very good at offering support to the nervous students at the back. I am only glad if I can help support them as it is such a stressful time for them. I had a girl sobbing and shaking yesterday, another one feeling sick, another one with a cold, and one with a bandage as she had punched  a wall, all of whom I had to take outside the exam hall for awhile!  But I managed to calm them all down by chatting to them and reassuring them, and telling them I will come straight to them to help them if they put their hand up.

Went to town later today to go back to the clothes shop that is closing down soon, I got a nice black chiffon top reduced from ÂĢ40 to ÂĢ7!

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Mollie.

Wondered where you had got to, i thought you were done in from all the work at school.

The problem with the brekkie at Sainsburys was the only think that had been done fresh was the egg, i love bacon and when it's made and stored for later it can be hard and dry which i couldn't eat and all but the egg was precooked and stored, i might just get runny fried eggs next time.

Have got more flowers on the cucuber plant, also on the outside tomato plants, 3 of them.

It's hard to stop the vine growing, i stopped one of the cordons at the end of the side run but it just keeps growing, it has turned up the side and grown another 2 feet, so the other ones i will stop short and see what happens, they don't want to stop.

I see you only have 2 days next week at school, you will be lost with all this spare time, maybe not so tired though, it made a change and was interesting for you.

You deserve praise for helping the girls when they are having problems, it take a sympathetic person to calm them, an OBE would do eh.

You better keep going to that shop which is closing as it won't be there too long now.

My BIL and i have been sending emails between us about the bread we bake, he wanted to know where i get my seed from etc.

I have ordered another bread slicer aid, this is similar but it also collects the seeds and crumbs when i slice the bread, o/h complains about the seed getting everywhere, she only excepts perfection in everything, i am a bit messy, love it that way.

Have a good day tomorrow, 16c and sunny most of the day here, that will do me.

Hicky

Evening All.

Not a bad day here, pleased with 16c sunny intervals, but sunny most of the day, gentle breeze as well.

Fed all the Fruit Trees today and sprayed the apple trees with Captain Jack's Bugkiller, it protects from most insects that want to eat fruit and leaves etc.

Just had bacon on toast for brekkie and for tea had a portion of my frozen Butter Sauce with some prawns and made another egg fried rice.

Put some Shredded card down where the strawberry plants are to cut down on water evaporation from the compost outside, all the raised beds have a mulch now, the tubs in the greenhouse have shredded leaves, hardly any shredded leaves left now till the autumn.

If you are wondering how i can shred card, it's because i modified the shredder. it wouldn't take cardboard because its too stiff but altering the opening sorted that, it now takes Amazon packing boxes and Egg boxes, they make great shredded material.

Have ordered a new bread slicing aid, might have told ou, the one that collects the crumbs, and today ordered a pair of Crocs, only wear them in the house really, but this will be the 3rd pair.

Going to order some fish tomorrow, White Bait, Jellied eels, Chili Vinegar, Baramundi Fillets and dressed Crab.

It looks like rain next week, what good for me.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Hi Hicky

hope you are pleased with the new bread slicer. Do you have a link? I like to see what you buy because sometimes I get the same after if you are pleased with it.

You are clever adapting the shredder to take card, very handy as we get so much card now with ordering stuff by post.

Glad you got a nice day weather wise so could do so much in your garden. We too got a nice day, just a bit of cloud around mid afternoon. OH did a lot in the garden, and I got to sit on the swingchair and read my book (inbetween hanging out the washing).  Didn't come in from the garden till 7.45.

Indeed an OBE would do for me, but only if you got one too, for all that time you spent in the forces. I reckon we deserve one more than many of the rich politicians who get them!

Its nice you can swop email bread hints with your BIL.

Me, OH and son went to Weatherspoon for brekkie today. Really delicious.

My Indian neighbour sent over some potato cakes for us. Nice and hot, as she had just made them. Really nice and spicy and crisp on the outside, and light inside, with spices. She had used semolina to fry them.

Hope Baz has had a good day.

Watching Love Island now, watched Antiques Roadshow before it.

Goodnight both xxx

It’s my wedding anniversary tomorrow ....the first since my husband died .....so not a great week ....but still putting one foot in front of the other . Regards TV ....over the weekend , I enjoyed Historic Towns , Equator from the Air  and Prue and Tim’s Canal Journey This week I’m looking forward to Springwatch and Bake Off the Professionals final I lead an exciting life , eh  I miss BB , but can’t bring myself to watch Love Island

Anyway , hope you both have a good evening .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Not a bad morning here with a lot of sun but this afternoon it was raining, 16c again with moderate breeze.

Didn't have any brekkie, had a noodle soup at 2pm, and for tea thawed a beed Madras from the freezer and made egg fried rice.

Made a bit more shredded card, only the packet from one of my tablets.

Ordered 200g of Cayenne Pepper as i've ran out, and it seems is very good for the body, in many ways.

I thought Cayenne Pepper was just a name given to a mix of spices, didn't realise it was actually a real pepper, here is the story:

https://www.healthline.com/nut...ts-of-cayenne-pepper

Did a little work in the greenhouse as it's so lovely and warm, as the vine grows a few inches a day i think it the last 4 legs should have reached their destination, 1 has all ready, the next one i stopped short so it could grow to the end, the way they do, that leaves just the 4 to go, each has about 3 feet to go before i pinch the tip off.

Was talking to one of my next door neighbour's this morning, she was saying she saw a Fox in her garden the other day, my o/h sees them walking down the middle of the road sometimes as she ofen has the curtains open at night.

Mollie, The new bread slicing aid hasn't arrived yet, maybe Wednesday or Thursday.

This is it. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0...11_185740111_TE_item

With regards to the Shredder, i cut away the section that was overhanging the slot where the paper was inserted so that the slot was unhindered so the normal boxes that come from Amazon can be fed down into the chopping gears.

Glad you could get on your swing-seat, well deserved.

Yes, the recipe BIL uses is pretty good, my next loaf with use his recipe and i will make 2 loaves, he also uses oil on the worktop to kneed the dough and the oil he uses is Rapeseed, i have got a bottle ready but still using the last of the last loaf i made.

Don't blame you, weatherspoons brekkie is certainly worth it.

Wow, hot potato cakes, how lovely, they would have spice if made by an Indian family.

I watched Love Isalnd and then After Sun, that was good as well, Sunday noght always good.

Baz, I can understand how hard it is for you when an Anniversary comes round, you need to be strong.

I can understand you missing BB, it was such a big part of our lives for so long, also Love Island would be hard for you to watch at this time so best give it a miss.

I see on the news most pensioners will have to start paying the TV license again., not sure how much it is even.

sending you a big for your Anniversary tomorrow. Such a hard time for you as you go through this first year without your husband.

I meant to watch Prue and Tom on the canals, but forgot.

I do like the Bake Off professionals though, the problem it is, is it always makes me want to eat chocolate!

Yes probably best for you to avoid Love Island, it is certainly no Big Brother! I too really miss Big Brother. The best times with that was when we had the livefeed, and we used to follow it on the BB forum. That was a long time ago now.

M

Hi Hicky

our weather sounds similiar to yours. We went to costco in the afternoon and it absolutely poured down in Cardiff, but was drier where we live, even though we had a few short showers.

Not like you to skip brekkie, bet you were starving by the time you got your soup!

That's good your vines are doing so well.

Amazing how foxes are coming so close to houses now.

Hope your loaves come out well when you try your BIL's recipe.

Yes very handy having an Indian neighbour. She often gives us bits of her home cooking, in return for us caring for her dog. We save her a fortune on the dog sitting costs she used to have to fork out, so she is well pleased.

We had lunch in Costco today , ,can't lose out at ÂĢ1.50 for a huge potato with lots of cheese! They have strawberry smoothies now too and they are delcious.

Son has gone to rehearsals for a new play with a new theatre company tonight. At least drama is a hobby that he enjoys and it gets him out a lot.

Time to decide what to watch on tv now.

Have a good evening xxx

M

Evening Mollie.

Cool and wet today, 12c rain all day and week by the looks of it, a moderate breeze as well.

Had egg on toast for brekkie, still trying to get my weight down a bit, belly a bit smaller, not a lot.

Couldn't do much outside, just popped into the greenhouse for a bit to see how it s.

Rang the Fish company to tell them about the problems with their website, got 10% off my order anyway, ordered whitebait, jellied eels, big bowl, plaice fillets, Baramundi and dressed crabs, can have that order Thursday, the pack or jellied eels is 65 pices, 13 portions, they have been supplying them for 69 years.

At 2pm i had a portion of my frowen hot and sour soup from the freezer, then at 5pm made a plate of Nacho, yummy, then realised i had no Jalapeno green sliced chilies in the house, will have to get the last 2.4kg tin and put the contents into bags and freeze them.

Yes, very surprised to hear that foxes are wandering around during the day, must be desperate for food maybe.

Don't blame you having lunch while you are in Costco, such a good price, i miss getting the Alaska king crab legs, they used to be ÂĢ20 a cluster then they went up to ÂĢ40, now if i want them i have to pay ÂĢ65, they only cost half that in Australia.

Thats nice, your son going to rehearsals with a new company, hope it goes well.

At least i have a Love Island show on every night of the week, very pleased.

Hicky
