My avatar is 'Tux' the Linux penguin motto.
I like messing about with Linux, as you know.

It's sometimes frustrating trying to get everything to work in it, but that's part of the fun (so I'm told). Big Grin

Good Morning Everyone.

My Satellite has gone off, dead as a DoDo, will have to check the other Sky Boxes to see if they are getting a signal, only got 1 dish anyway.
Will have to watch recordings otherwise.

It's lovely Sunny day here, blue sky's, slight wind, might be th Eggs.Big Grin

Hicky

I hope you get your sky sorted out soon but with this lovely sunny weather do you not have a May fair to go to Eeker

I'm off to ours when OH gets back from his parents house Big Grin

I have a lot of work to do in the garden on my veg plot, there maybe a fair here but they are all the same, this is only a small town I live in.

I would love to have a garden big enough to have a veggie plot, maybe one day I will get my wish granted Big Grin
My paents had a huge garden and I loved going to the veggie plot to help my Dad we also had an orchard next to the plot as well so we could sit under the tree and look at all our hard work with pride Big Grin

These May fairs do seem to be same old same old don't they. I might persuade my OH to go to Looe as there is a speed boat championship being held there this weekend, and that would be a little more exciting than stalls and parades

Hope you are all having a good Saturday.

Oh dear Hicky... hope you get your satellite sorted soon. How has the veggie gardening gone today?

We too have had a lovely sunny day here today.

I went to Asda for my moms shop. And me and OH had nice brekkie there. Then bought a few T shirts, so I am prepared for all this hot summer weather they are predicting.

Suzie ...Hope you had a good day. Did you end up going to a Mayfair? Dont think I have ever seen any round here.

I am looking forward to "Britains Got Talent" tonight. Hope we have lots of interesting people on it again.

Hi Suzie, Mollie & Darloboy.Smiler

What a lovely day, I did go to the garden center, got some more compost material and some top soil, bought some veg plants.

Rang the Sky customer Service, it seems that after a while the cables in the back from the dish stop working, you have to turn the power off to the box then disconnect the cables from the dish then reconnect them again, tour the power back on and start the Sky box up.
It all started working again.
(I don't wonder they stop working when you have a bare copper wire pushed into a clip inside the box, if the end was gold plated or tin covered it would be OK, but not bare copper, it tarnishes after a while no wonder you get a bad connection.

Glad the Sky is all fixed now. Can't have you missing out on your tv.

Sounds like you are all fixed up ready to go with that veggie garden now.

Are you watching Britains Got Talent? I am.

wavey boldjohn

I am not clever on the pc, but I did get a lot of help of where to find, and how to put the piccies on here. Smiler

Glad to hear you have found plenty of footie around today to enjoy.

Hi Hicky.
I think your missus would have been aiming that arrow at you, if you hadn't got Sky working again before the sport came on. Big Grin

Been a lovely day here. I was helping my dad lay some flags at the front door. Raising the step a bit. Well I was lifting the flags about, and he was in charge of the spirit level. Big Grin

Also I was messing about with Linux again. I was trying to upgrade mandriva to the latest version, but it all messed up, and I've got to reinstall from scratch.
Oh the joys. Roll Eyes

I don't think we have any May fairs in the Borders? I've never heard of any anyway?
I know it is an old Celtic festival - Beltane, but it's not really marked round here. Smiler
