Hi Mollie. Great to see you back.

Must be a relief to sleep in your own bed again, although still tiring running backward and forward on the motorway.

Hope your Mum's pain continues to ease.

I'm feeling fine at the moment, and eating and sleeping normally.

Still on the medication though.

I noticed yesterday that the valve on my radiator in the hallway was leaking and making the carpet wet underneath. Called the landlady this morning, and a plumber should be coming tomorrow to fix it.

I also reminded her about my leaky flat roof, and she said she had asked someone for a quote but he hadn't got back to her. She said she would ring him about it again.

I won't hold my breath as it's just about a year now since I first informed her that it was leaking every time it rains.

She seems to be good at getting people out for the more urgent jobs, but useless at getting the maintenance jobs done.

I've got a flat tyre on my car. It's the same wheel that was losing air in December when they put a new valve on it. It seemed fine for a while but I think the new valve has failed, as it seemed to lose all the air quite quickly.

I'll have to take it off and put the spare on and take it in to them again, but I'll wait till everything isn't covered in snow.

We've had a bit of a melt today, but there's still plenty about, with more forecast.

Hi Hicky. That sounds a great brekkie.

Glad you're free of 'oral sepsis'. Was there some doubt?

I can guess which car you'll advise Mollie's OH to go for.

Yes, it was quite funny on CBB to see Perez chasing Katie H, and her obviously quite enjoying it.

Soon descended into argument again though.

emptybox

Evening Mollie.

Good to see you back on here, i know how busy you have been.

Glad your Mums rib pain under control.

O/H feeling much better, i took her to the docs, she had to change docs when we moved house.

They are sorting out her meds etc.

Don't know what make or type to get yet, it depends on so many factors.

We will have to see what we can afford, we are living mainly on pensions now but we should be able to manage, O/H still working but will probably have to do less hours.

I really think all vehicles should be 4x4 and Automatic, i don't like petrol because it is flammable.

We want low road tax and good mpg.

We have had some rain and some snow but we get very little problems on the Wirral with it being a peninsular.

It looks like it will be between Perez and Nadia Friday eviction.

Not bothered who goes.

If Nadia goes Perez is finished.

Hope you can get some food and more rest for a bit anyway.

CBB in 15 minutes.

Hicky

Evening Both.

Not a bad day really, slight rain, wind and dull at times.

Went to the recycle place with some bags of rubbish, it only gets collected ever 2 weeks.

Went to Sainsbury's for some fresh bread and milk

Have ordered some 3mm while plastic disks to go round some of the inside down-lights, the edges of the ceiling board is showing in places, probably because the hole is by the joist, or maybe the wrong size of hole.

The company said they would make them for me.

Looking at some decking boards that was advertised in our local paper, it says it's 125mm x 38mm for ÂĢ1.73m inc vat.

I need 328m but am a bit stuck for space at the mo, and didn't want to keep moving stuff around, i would still need the joists though and i need 192m of 6x2 (150x50) treated timber.

Hope Perez goes tonight but it may be Nadia.

Meant to say, the 64gb USB pen drives i ordered from China came, for ÂĢ3 a piece i couldn't resist.

Hicky

you were right in that Nadia went. Thought it might of been Keith as we did not see much of him tonight. Your pen drive sounds a bargain at that price. What does it do?

Glad your OH is feeling a bit better now. yes that is a nuisance how you have to change docs if you move, hope your new one is ok.

Emptybox

Glad to hear you are feeling well again.

Yes doesn't sound too hopeful about the roof getting done as you have been waiting a year now. How annoying about your flat tyre, hope it doesn't cost too much to fix.

Sounds very cold there, not that cold here, chilly but not snow or ice so far.

We have 2 carers now to help mum get up, as it is hard work. However she is gradually improving rib wise, but the mobility problems are probably down to her dementia so tend to get worse. Good job we bought the wheelchair from costco.

bedtime< im done in.

goodnight both xx

M

Evening Mollie.

I must have missed the post from Emptybox earlier.

Didn't see the post about your flat tyre, sounds more like a puncture, valves don't really go like that.

The tyre to rim seal can be a problem, with Alloy rims anyway.

Yes Mollie, thought it would be Nadia or Perez, maybe better that Nadia went, nice to see Perez isolated.

It was my O/H that had to change Docs, because they said she was out of the area and too far away, but her new doctors surgery is further than her old one, something doesn't seem right.

I didn't have to move docs and my doctors was way out of the area even before we moved, they didn't seem to care.

Thats better having 2 carers for your mum to get up, it's bad enough having dementia without having a broken rib.

Hicky

Hi guys.

Everything in deep freeze here. Still got most of the snow.

The plumber came and put a new valve on the radiator. He had to partially drain the system to do it, so it took longer than first thought, but it's fixed now.

Funnily enough the roofer was here, but he was mending the flat roof on the neighbour's house.

I asked him if he was coming to do mine, but he said he'd have to arrange to do mine when the weather was better>

Right enough, the roof was covered in snow and it was freezing, so it's a strange time to be mending a roof. Perhaps the neighbour had a big leak into her bedroom, so it was an emergency?

I suppose mine is a nuisance rather than an emergency, but if they leave it too much longer more and more damage will be done to the house.

Perhaps she just made more of a fuss to the landlady than me?

I think he's got some more to do on the neighbours house, so perhaps he might come to me soon, if the weather gets a bit warmer.

Glad your OH is feeling much better Hicky.

That's a nuisance that she had to change docs.

Make sure and check the capacity of your cheap 64GB pen drives from China; there are a lot of fake ones about that have a lower capacity than advertised.

Windows reports that it's a 64GB drive, but it won't allow you to put more than a few GB of data on.

The reason I think it might be the valve gone on the tyre is that, although there's still some air in the tyre, when I put the pressure gauge on the valve it stays on zero.

Haven't tried blowing the tyre up again yet. But if it won't accept any air, then that will show that it's a faulty valve.

But as you say, it could be losing air round the rim, in which case I might have to source a second hand alloy.

Hi Mollie. Glad your Mum's pain is getting better, but it's a pity her mobility is gradually getting worse.

Pity Nadia went. Apart from a couple of blips I thought she was a very nice woman.

emptybox

Evening Emptybox.

It's been a lovely day here, cold with some wind but not bad.

At least you got your heating sorted.

Your weather isn't too good for working on the roof, a bit dangerous.

I'll have to load the 64gb drives up and see they take that amount of data.

Easy enough.

When i said the problem could be the Alloy wheel, it just means they have to file or scrape the uneven surface from the rim, on older cars the sealer they used to seal the rim of replacement tyres used to corrode the Alloy rim where it touched it.

I have had valves in the past that didn't seat properly in the hole, i didn't know that could happen but it does.

I was glad Nadia went so i can see what Perez does next without his puppet.

I wonder what is happening Monday on CBB, i am hoping Perez will be kicked out without an audience.

Just had the second half of my lamb curry, wow, fantastic, love the Rendang so much.

For brekkie i had bacon sausage and a whole pan of special wild mushrooms sliced up and fried in a little oil.

This afternoon i made a tray of Apple Turnover thingies, you can buy a pack of the ready made special pastry that you separate into 6 pieces and then fold as directed and then put the Apple jam on the middle, cook for 10 minutes, wow, it's so good.

gosh sounds very cold still up there. Wind cold here too, but no snow still.

That is good your radiator got fixed, do you still have plenty of oil to keep you going through the cold spell? Good job the price of oil came down. These landlords are so stupid.... as you say, just leaving the repairs to get worse causes more damage to their investment.

Yes shame Nadia went, she got on my nerves in the beginning, but she did grow on me.

Hicky

your apple turnover recipe sounds a good idea. I'll have to have a go at that one. Any luck with your car hunting yet? My OH too has been looking at cars, but not sure what to go for.

Watched some of the voice after took mum back to her flat for bed. The carer comes in for half hour at night to help me. I enjoy their company as they are such fun people, and lovely to mum.   My son usually drives us back, and helps carry the bags, change sheets etc, whist OH does a few jobs at our own house.

Time to relax and enjoy CBB.

enjoy the show both xx

Flippen heck, that is of no good to you.

So the weather is good enough to fix next doors, but too bad to fix yours.   Find it hard to believe the weather can vary so much from one house next door to the other.

M

Evening Mollie.

As well as the Apple one we had some choc cookies the other day, we have choc croissants as well as others, great with a cup of tea midday.

Haven't looked at cars again, O/H not being well didn't help.

I got my lad to move my Tree Tubs around so i can get the 1 tonne of stone moved so O/H can move her car onto the drive far enough for me to back my car onto the front via the drive in.

I'm going to see the decking wood at at Bromborough it's 125mm x 38mm and ÂĢ1.44 a mtr +vat, i need 328 mtrs but if i use the decking as Joists as well then i need another 145mtrs, total cost with vat is about ÂĢ817

Enjoyed the Voice, some good singer.

Hicky

Hi guys.

It's a lovely day here, sunny but very cold.

Yesterday was dull and milder, so most of the snow is away, apart from some on the lawn.

The tyre is confusing me. I was able to pump it up, so the valve is probably OK, but it lost about half it's air in a day, so there must be a puncture or the rim is knackered?

All I can do is take it back to the tyre place and see what they say.

Using the van today to get the papers and supermarket, just to be on the safe side.

The roofer has left some of his gear at the neighbour's house, so I suppose there is a chance that he might come to me this week.

But I can't be 100% certain that he is the same one that the landlady asked to give her a quote for my roof, so I don't want to question him too much.

Ultimately it's down to the landlady to get it fixed.

Hi Mollie.

I've got plenty of oil at the moment, but I'll probably have to order again in a month or so.

Glad your Mum's carers seem so good. Takes the stress off your shoulders a bit.

Hi Hicky.

Hope you get the decking you need.

Yes I can understand that a new car is on the back burner while your OH isn't so well.

You seem to be enjoying getting into baking.

Not sure what they are doing on CBB on Monday? There's no voting open yet anyway, and there's no BOTS tonight to tell us what's going on?

emptybox

both

Hicky

home bake cookies and croissants sound a great idea too.

Hope your OH feels a bit better today.

Good job your lad could help sort your drive, the costing from the council was ridiculously high.

What did you think of the decking when you saw it?

Emptybox

glad you got some nice weather and it is thawing a bit at last. Hope the tyre place can sort you out without charging too much.

Let;s hope the left behind roof gear is bound for your house forthwith now.

That is good you have some oil in.

It is good they are keeping us in suspense about Monday's CBB. Let's hope it is not a boring disappointment though.

Mum's carer suggested we got her a double quilt as she kept kicking off her single one in the night, and she was cold when they went in. So yesterday we got her a nice feather one, and it worked, the quilt was still on this morning.

Watching  the Hotel now, then CBB.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Both.

Not a bad day today, 5 hrs of sun, chilly though.

Went to a garden centre, bought another of the small frying pans for the induction hob.

I have a small and a big one but fancied an extra small one.

Had a meal while we were there, just sausages mash and beans.

Emptybox, you'll just have to see what the tyre place says about the leak, it could be a few things.

It could be the wrong roofer thats working on the roof next door.

Didn't go to see the decking, they are only open certain hours, will see if i can go tomorrow.

If the decking size will do as joists then that will be a saving.

I've got the 1st of 3 x 64gb usb drives on test, the short test was ok but it's doing a complete write/read test which will take 7 hours.

I was reading about the fake ones on the web.

I'm using a program called H2testw, you don't have to install it, just run it.

Think the voting will start for the final after one goes Monday, probably.

Yes Mollie, made some Chocolate Croissants before as well, it's so easy.

O/H was a bit better, she has a cold now so she is all blocked up.

Didn't get to see the decking, they are only open in the week and Saturday morning.

Now my lad has moved the tree tubs down the drive then if i can get the gardener to move the stone then O/H will be able to put her car down the drive so i can get in and out to the front parking area without going over the pavement.

Enjoyed CBB tonight, Perez is coming on with the poor me poor me now, the sympathy vote he's after.

Hicky

thanks so much about the 8pm warning for CBB, if I hadn't of happened to look at your post before taking mum home, I would of missed it.

Glad your OH is a bit better, but what a shame she has a cold now. There are so many around at the moment, and that is the trouble, like Emptybox found out, you tend to pick these bugs up when you have been unwell with something else. Hope the cold clears up soon.

Pity about your pen thing not being any good.

That will be handy when you can get the gardener to move the stone so you can get on the parking area.

Emptybox

still cold up there? any snow? Very cold here now. Below freezing anyway. Have you sorted the tyre out yet?

The good news is mum's pain is easing and her mobility is improving.  She even walked alone (although she staggered mostly) across our room tonight. But the bad news is this makes another problem. I got home around 8pm last night after putting her to bed, and at 9.45pm, son had to drive me over there again (30 mile round trip!) because I had a call out because she had got out of bed and managed to open her front door and set the Careline alarm off.  I feel nervous again about her wondering around the flat and falling. And I certainly don't fancy being woken up and having to get son to drive me all over there again to check on her in this cold weather. I ended up sleeping on the camp bed gain last night at her flat to check on her.

So Cami lee gone then, wasn't keen on her though.

In fact thinking on it, there is no one this year who I can say I really like. But I still am enjoying the show each night.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Mollie.

The gardener came in the dark tonight, i can put all the outside security lights on from inside the house so i lit up the side and back where he was moving the stone too, it's only 850kg.

Went to see the decking, pity it's not really 38mm now, that was before they machined it, it's now 32mm thick so i can't use it as joists.

I'll order the wood tomorrow.

I've got 5 area's of decking to construct, an area of 41 square metres.

Need 328mtrs of decking and 145 mtrs of joist.

I'll get O/H to move her car onto the drive, further down out of the way of me driving onto the front.

Reading about your mum opening the door, i don't understand why they don't change the door opening system so she can't open it at night by herself, surely she's in more danger being able to open it.

Sorry to see Cami Li go, it leaves that horrible Perez in laughing at the British public for being taken in by his game.

Took a trip to another garden centre while we were out seeing the wood, got some food for breakfast, then had some food at a local lodge, just had soup and fish and chips.

Hicky

Hi guys.

Good day here. Very cold and frosty but sunny.

No more new snow, but there's still quite a lot on the lawn, and of course the hills are white.

The roofer finished next door and tidied up his stuff and left, so I presume he's not coming to me in the near future.

I took the tyre into the tyre place. I had to put the spare on myself because I couldn't get the tyre to blow up.

They decided this time that it was losing air round the rim, so they took the tyre off and sanded down the rim and put sealant on, then put the tyre back on with another new valve.

Only time will tell if it keeps the air in.

Charged me ÂĢ15 this time though.

Glad that Cami Li is out, couldn't stand her.

Pity that it's Emma's last time presenting BOTS , but at least she's still doing the main show.

I think Rylan does fine on BOTS anyway.

Hi Hicky. Pity the decking wasn't suitable for your joists. You'll need a lot of wood for all that decking.

I thought those 64GB pendrives sounded too good to be true TBH.

The 64GB brand name ones start from about ÂĢ15 on Amazon.

Your gardener was very keen, to come out in the dark.

Glad he got the stones moved.

Hi Mollie.

Sad that you've had to be called out to your Mum again.

I think I agree with Hicky. If you have to be called out every time your Mum opens her front door, surely it would be better if she couldn't open it?

Although I can see that might cause problems if there was a fire or something.

And obviously might impact her dignity.

Good that she's improving though, and the double quilt was a success.

Are you watching 'The Jump'?

Dom of Steph & Dom fame was on it, but he was eliminated early.

And of course there's Stacey Solomon and Ashley Roberts on it.

Evening Emptybox.

Pity the roofer wasn't coming to yours to do some repair.

Your tyre sounds as i suspected, but a file usually cleans it up enough to seal with the latest anti stick compound they now use.

The old stuff attacked the alloy rim for some reason.

I liked Cami, would have preferred Perez to go, he's going to be in the final now i suppose.

I've redrawn the decking area so i can make the deck sections in blocks, 7 blocks now.

I'll upload the drawing as a jpg because this forum can't show a PDF file.

I've emailed Amazon and the suppliers of the usb drives, have to see what they say.

I've been watching the Jump, recording it tonight as i am watching The Fixer - Alex.

I like Stacey Solomon, lovely girl.

Made the Screen print of the drawing.

You notice that the deck directions change, this is so that when you walk around the decking you are walking across the deck boards and not along them as they can be slippy at times.

Hi Hicky.

Not as frosty today, but we've had a heavy snowfall this evening, so everything is covered in white again.

Your decking plan looks good. You put a lot of work into those plans.

Hope you get your money back on those drives, if they are no good.

Yeah Stacey is doing good on The Jump. Pity Ashley went out early though.

Not sure who I want to win CBB now? Probably Katie Price.

I did like Keith, but he's annoying me a bit with his crying, and I think he's deliberately getting into rows with Katie H.

Also I'm not as keen on Calum as I thought I would be.

I saw that about Katie Price.

Also Patsy seemingly got a professional spray tan every couple of days, and of course Katie H gets to sleep in her own room, and has a laptop so she can continue to write her column while she's in there.

It's not the BB of old.

Enjoying 10,000 BC.

Hi Emptybox.

It's frosty tonight, getting a taxi in the morning to hospital, got to be there before 9am.

The car will be all iced up and the traffic will be heavy, school children everywhere, so going early to be sure.

The highest temperature here will be 6C during the day, for a week anyway, don't know about next week yet.

Watched the Jump i recorded, they aren't very good at anything are they?

Will watch the recording of bots tomorrow.

I think Katie H will win, didn't realise she had her own room, wow, how good is that.

I'm recording 10,000 BC, the series, will watch when i get time.

Made a nice Beef Brisket roast dinner earlier, so easy as well.

Used one of my cast iron casserole pots, ideal.

Better get to bed, need some sleep for tomorrow, have to put my alarm on, although i'm up a few times in the night, i may just decide to oversleep if i don't.

I got my O/H to move her car onto the drive in at the side of the house, leaves loads of room for me to reverse in without going on the pavement.

Hicky

Hi Hicky.

Is this the 4 hours of tests etc at the hospital?

Hope that all went OK, and not too painful.

Everything still mostly covered in show here, but a little has melted off the cars and roof.

The tyre hasn't lost any air yet, but then it didn't last time either at first, so it'll be a few weeks before I can say the problem has definitely been solved.

Didn't realise you already had a bit where you could get your cars in without going over the pavement. I was envisaging you having to bump over the pavement every time you needed to park.

Is it just wide enough for the one car to go over?

They're not all that good on the Jump, but then some had never skied before, so it's a wonder they can stay on their feet.

Doesn't make for the best viewing though.

Mind you, I thought Heather Mills was really gutsy, doing a ski jump with an artificial leg.

Had a salmon-cut beef steak the other day. Much cheaper than sirloin or rib-eye, but still very tasty,

Your brisket sounds good.

Hope Mollie hasn't had more sleepless nights over her Mum.

emptybox

Evening Emptybox.

The tests and schooling was 3 hrs, got there early and finished early, they had a nice lamb Bhuna with rice in the canteen so i had one while i waited for my O/H to pick me up.

I saw maybe 6 nurses, each one took care of one section of the course. They took water, blood, swabs, weight, hight, BP, ECG, tons of things to fill in, a video about it.

I was starving by the end.

It's been like a summers day here, apart from it being cold.

we do have a drive in, it's 2.6 mtrs wide so i can back into the drive and onto the front garden, the frontage is 6m x 6m so i have loads of room, the O/H moved her car down the drive as it's very long, and she can still open her door.

The Fence man is bringing a fence section for us to see tomorrow, he said he will Rotavate the back raised area so it can be raked down to the lower section and install fence Tuesday.

Watching the Jump, not making much of an effort on the Jump.

Not sure what you mean by a Salmon-cut Beef steak, never heard of that.

I only get Ribeye or Fillet steak, unless it's a piece of beef then you can change how it is to eat by how it's cooked.

Hope Mollie isn't too worn out.

Just had a take-away that was delivered, beef curry and chips.

Hicky

Hi Hicky.

That was a bit of a marathon session at the hospital.

Bet you felt you deserved a good curry at the end of it.

That's good that your fencer is hoping to make a start on Tuesday.

The ground up here is frozen solid, so not much can be done at the moment.

I hadn't heard of a salmon cut beef steak before either, but it was in the butchers section of Sainsburys, where they put fresh cuts on trays.

I can't find it on the Sainsburys site, so it might have been a special offer. I paid about ÂĢ3.50 for two smallish steaks.

Here's some on another site.

Salmon cut steaks

Hi Emptybox.

I see what you mean about the steak, it needs slow cooking / braising like i did the brisket, say 2 or 3 hrs a Kilo.

It says no rain here this week and my garden is dry, for the first time.

Glad Kav & Perez got evicted, yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Have recorded bots for tomorrow.

Stared looking online at small 4x4 automatic cars againm, we want low or no road tax, and a good mpg.

But all the good ones seem too new.

The cheaper ones are all manual or petrol, if i have to have petrol i will but i really want a 4x4.

Saw a nice Volvo for the right price but O/H said it was too big.

Good Evening again.

Had  the gardener for a couple of hours.

Got him to lower the stone in the front garden by the pavement as we don't drive over there any more.

He brought it down by a couple of inches and raked it over to the lower area by the house wall.

The feller never came with a section of fence to show us.

O/H wanted the Shadowbox type of fencing where it is double sided but the wood is laid vertical, and nailed on opposite sides of the horizontal central bars.

But it is probably made on site and we can't really get to the other side as there is a fence and a school field behind.

Hicky

Hi Hicky.

Pity your fencer didn't appear, but at least you got your keen gardener out.

I'm sure you'll find a suitable car given time.

Quite a bit milder here today, so a lot of the snow is away again.

Went into town to do my banking and pay a few bills. Didn't do much else though.

Did you see The Jump?

I thought Davina was a bit cheeky to that local Mayor.

emptybox

Hi Emptybox.

I've been looking at many small SUV's, but it's so hard to get all my requirements together on the one car.

There are more than 10 small SUV's around, not all even have Automatic gears, not all have a Diesel option.

Been looking at the Nissan Qashqai 2.0 dCi N-Tec 5DR Auto 4WD Diesel.

But to get my price range isn't easy either.

This one is in the garage we deal with and get all our cars serviced.

http://atsearch.autotrader.co....77701&distance=0

--------------

Yes, Davina trying to score brownie points.

Never saw one leave from the jump as they should, they are too scared.

Hicky

That looks a lovely car Hicky.

Expensive for a 4 year old vehicle, but a very low mileage, and it's got all the toys.

Dull here today and no frost. Melting snow everywhere though, so everything is messy.

Looking forward to the CBB final today. Not too bothered who wins TBH, although I wouldn't mind if it was Katie Price.

I agree about the Jump. They should crouch down on the run down, then push off when they reach the end. But no-one has done so far.

sorry, not been around much, been real busy sorting mum out again. She has just escaped being put into a home by the skin of her teeth (and me doing a lot of negotiating with carers/social workers/occupational therapist/day centre!).

In fact I have been so busy, have only this afternoon managed to catch up with the last 2 nights of CBB.

Have decided this year, I am not keen on any of the HM's that are left. So don't care who wins but prefer if Katie H doesn't, as I think she is judegemental.

Maybe Keith would be the best to win?

Going to read back now, but thought I would post this incase I don't get chance later.

I only left mum for a few minutes earlier and found her fallen on the floor, and this morning the carers called out the medics because she was on the floor when they got there to get her up.She was fine though after they checked her.

I'll call back here later...(hopefully)

I have a feeling OH will be caught up in rugby traffic coming home from work, especially over the Severn Bridge because Wales play England and with 74.5 thousand tickets sold, that is a lot of traffic to get over that bridge!

Evening Both.

There are quite a few small 4x4's but not all have an auto option.

It will be down to money in the end.

Very frosty this morning, my battery was flat this afternoon when i was going to get some breakfast food in for the weekend.

Will get a new battery fitted next week, was hoping this one would last, good job i keep the emergency booster handy, works a treat, worth it's weight in gold.

I think Calum will steal it, then Katie H.

Hi Mollie, thought you had been rather busy with your mum.

It's a nightmare really.

She can't be left alone for a minute.

Just got some Pork Ribs in the oven for tea.

Hicky

that is a lovely looking car, and a nice colour too. Hope you can sort something out to suit you and OH for a suitable price. Is your OH and her kidney problem ok now?

Glad your hospital visit went well, it is good to know they are checking everything and giving you plenty of information too. Hope you enjoyed your pork ribs.

Emptybox

hope you are still keeping well. Are you back on the sphag bol and beer for Saturdays yet ? Had the snow all melted now? Very cold here, but lovely and dry and sunny.

Occupational therapist been to see me and mum again, it is amazing how many different gadgets they can come up to help keep elderly in their own home. We are going to get a bed alarm, this goes off to the call centre if she gets up out of bed at night, then someone goes out to check on her. Hope it doesn't take too long to arrive.

We are going to view another house tomorrow, it is a bit smaller than the others, but cheaper, so we might be able to extend. It says suitable for extension in the details, so we will see what it is like. And it is only 2 miles from mum, instead of 15!

Looking forward to the CBB final now.

I think it might be quite close this year, as I don't think there has been any one clear popular person.

Enjoy the show both xxx

Mollie.

I can't see many cars online, think we will have to look around.

When you see a car online and you click on it, it takes ages to find the spec, then after 5 minutes i still couldn't tell if it was a 4x4, very frustrating.I thought the Honda CR-V Diesel Automatic was a 4x4 but after reading about loads i can't tell because it didn't say.

Yes, the pork ribs tasted fine, 1.3kg, 70 minutes covered and 20 minutes uncovered at 180C.

Maybe a bed alarm will help with your Mum, she does seem to wander around.

Hope the house you see will suit you, extending is expensive though isn't it?

Was quite surprised Calum was out 3rd, and more surprised K.P. winning, the public softened to her.

Hicky

Hi guys.

Well Katie Price won.

I voted for her, but it was a bit of an anti-climax because she seemed a bit bewildered or stunned.

But well done to her.

Hi Mollie. Well done on getting more help for your Mum, so she can stay out of a home. Hopefully the carers will answer her alarm button, rather than you having to attend all the time.

Hope the house turns out to be suitable for expansion.

And hope your OH made his way through the rugby traffic.

I'm feeling fine today, although I wasn't all that great on Wednesday and Thursday. A bit of a dicky stomach.

Not sure if it was a coincidence, but I was trying a multi vitamin tablet at the same time, so it might not agree with me.

I've given it up for now, but will try it again next week to see if it has the same effect.

Hi Hicky.

Yes, a lot of those small SUVs that look like they are 4x4s aren't, and it's only certain models that are.

Glad that battery booster got your car going again.

I had a jump start unit a few years ago, but it got to the stage where it wouldn't charge up so is useless now. I keep meaning to buy another one.

Evening Emptybox.

Not bad here today, not very cold, dry, no wind.

Cut some wire that is around a tree at the bottom of the garden, it's as if someone thought it would cause the tree to change direction, well, no, it doesn't, the tree carries on if it's only a wire fence.

Just making a Lamb roast dinner, got a chicken for tomorrow,

Having Carrots, Cabbage with it and small roast spuds, with gravy.

Only got 10 minutes left.

My lad and his lot came this afternoon for a coffee.

I didn't want Pricey to win.

I preferred to have Calum.

Hope your Tums ok after stopping the tablet.

Just got the Voice tonight.

Hicky

Hi Hicky.

Not bad here either. Frosty start with some sunshine.

Unfortunately not feeling so good today, so doubt it was anything to do with vitamin tabs, but is likely my condition rearing up again.

Hope it settles down again before long.

I didn't mind Calum, but couldn't really warm to him, even though Aisleyne was championing him.

Hope you enjoyed your roast lamb?

Yes, just The Voice to watch tonight. I'll probably catch up with some recordings.

Hi Emptybox.

Sorry to hear you aren't well again, are you still taking those Anti-bio's?

The roast lamb was very nice.

I've started cutting potato's into fairly small pieces and putting them into 2 shallow enamel trays that have a couple of spoons of beef dripping in them, they cook while the meat is cooking.

I put a couple of chopped carrots into a steam pan (in the bottom in water) and slice half a cabbage to go in the steamer top.

Made a nice gravy, so easy really.

I put some kitchen roll on the stove to stop the fan splashing while i browned the meat in a frying pan.

It's great because with having no flame or element there's nothing to catch fire.

And when i remove the pan after frying or cooking the hob turns itself off.

I was wondering if i could get hold of some big sheets of paper like A1 size and cut out for the induction rings, in fact it still works if i cover the ring as i tried that the other week.

Hicky

No, I was taken off the antibiotics a couple of months ago, although I've still got some left here, if I thought they would do me any good.

They decided it wasn't a bacterial problem, and have me on other pills (alpha-blockers).

Perhaps they need to increase my current medication?

I'll have to go back to the doctor if this carries on.

Glad your roast dinner was good.

I had spag bol as usual, but I wasn't very hungry.

Why do you want to put paper on your induction hob?

Can you not just wipe off any mess afterwards.
