Not bad weather here, quite warm in the sun, but when it clouds over it's decidedly chilly.

Got a bit more done anyway.

Sorry to hear you're busier at work Hicky. That'll not suit, with wanting to look at bungalows etc.

I heard about Gary's accident, and his cancer op. Feel bad for him.

I'll maybe look at that video later, but can't honestly say I like Gary, or Joan Rivers if it comes to it.

I quite like Stephanie and Edele, and the others seem OK as well.

emptybox

both

Hicky

yes can't be easy house hunting whilst you are still so busy at work. Hope you like the bungalows you have seen advertised so you have some lined up. The trouble is we often find, is that the pictures the agent takes often make the house look a lot nicer than it is, and when we drive past, there is something we don't like that is not apparent in the photo. We now use google earth to check places out as well, as that shows the surrounding areas well.

Emptybox

good job the weather wasn't too bad, so you caught up a little work wise. Are your electrics and phone ok now?

We are pleased with sky's fibre broadband so far. A lot quicker than our old one.

Still worn out, and not unpacked a lot of stuff yet, with my mum to sort out. I put her to bed around 9pm now, and OH sets the alarm and sensor for her front door, then we sneak out home, so don't get back until 9,20 at nights now.

Dog a lot better, the reason I think it was the old moldy house that started this problem was that all of our allergies were bad whilst living there.  Then I noticed the dog was scratching more and assumed an insect had bitten her. Then once I noticed the bald patches after we moved here, i then knew it was driving her mad, poor thing, I feel guilty for not spotting it earlier having been too busy with mum and the move to spot it. The vet said she thought something in the air had triggered the dog to get an allergy.

Son passed driving test first time today.   So we have been out for tea at pub tonight to celebrate...I had a macoroni cheese burger, boiled new potatoes and coleslaw, very nice.   his driving instructor said he did well as he only had one minor fault. He learnt with the AA driving school, and I found the instructor very good.

Watching CBB on plus 1 now, then time to give the dog her tablets disguised in some peanut butter.  She loves peanut butter.

Goodnight both xx

M

Good evening both

not a bad day here today, got my washing dry at last. OH had to buy a new line, as the one here was rubbish, and there was a washing machine in place which I didn't like so he had to put our own in place and store the LL's one in the garage. I have a Miele one and it is a great make.

Doggie loads better now, scratching and fur biting stopped and fur starting to grow back already. The steroid injection and tablets are working.

Any viewings booked over the bank hol weekend Hicky?

Emptybox... are you taking a long weekend off your gardens this weekend?

Think we might go to Costco tomorrow, we love all the free food samples they offer you there on Saturdays.

Just checked and see we have a long edition of CBB tnight. That is good.   I'll have to watch on catch up though, as I have to stay with mum till 9pm, which is when door sensors become active and she is in bed.

have a good evening both xx

M

Hi Mollie.

Congrats to your son, passing first time.

Glad doggie is improving as well.

Been a nice day here today, but yesterday was terribly wet. That seems to be the pattern at the mo, one day wet the next dry. Not good for work.

Got quite a bit done today, and will have to work tomorrow if it's nice.

It's not a bank holiday in Scotland Mollie, we had one at the beginning of August instead, for some reason.

But I'd have to work Monday anyway, if it's dry.

That's a bit of a nuisance, only getting home after 9pm, but I guess it's best for your Mum, and better than not getting home at all.

Glad your fibre-optic broadband is nice and speedy.

Don't know if I'll ever get that here, but some towns in the Borders are starting to get it, so you never know?

CBB getting a bit crazy. They seem to be having loads of meaningless rows.

I think the Americans (and Frenchy) are doing it for the airtime.

I like Stephanie best so far. But Gogglebox George turns out to be a bit of a livewire.

emptybox

Evening Both.

Was busy at work, it will be quiet next week as the office will only have me and one boss in it.

We have another offer on the house, we accepted it, we went to see another bungalow yesterday, we put in an offer but the offer they already had was accepted.

There seems plenty on the market though.

Mollie, It must be awful for you at the mo, too much to do.

Great news about your son passing his driving test.

Hope doggie will be ok, another worry you could do without.

Peanut butter, a good disguise.

They have changed my Codeine to a new tablet that i only take twice a day.

It seems to be ok for now anyway better than trying to take something 4 times a day.

We have had so much rain lately, not good at all.

I think O/H has asked to see another bungalow, I let her get on with it.

All i want is room for my trees.

Yes, get to Costco and see what they have to eat.

We are all going out for a Chinese thingy tomorrow night, it my DIL's daughters 18th.

Been picking Raspberries, Figs, Plums, Toms Apples, got so much fruit.

Emptybox, Weather not good for you i see, and no Bank Holiday either, i'm off Monday but the factory is working.

I asked the boss what he wants me to work next week, he said please yourself.

I've worked 3 days this week, very nice.

I just have my Bacon & Tomato at work now, 2 bacon though.

I'm enjoying all the HM's in CBB.

Still playing with my Dash Cam, wow, the quality of the video on a good screen is fantastic, Full HD at 1080P is pure quality.

It's just that i need the new power lead so i can use the parking system.

Hicky

Hi Hicky.

Great news that you got the offer you wanted for your house.

Now all you've got to do is find a nice bungalow.

Do you have a timescale for moving out, or is that still up in the air?

Hope you get on OK with your new tablets.

And hope you enjoy your family meal out tomorrow.

Sounds like you can suit yourself at work next week.

Too many silly rows on CBB at the mo. That Frenchy seems to be out of control, but it might just be an act? Similarly with Leslie.

emptybox

Good evening both

Hicky

hope the 18th birthday meal went well. What did you have to eat?

Hopefully it will be much easier for you now you are only taking the tablets twice instead of 4 times a day.

Well done on getting an offer on the house you were looking for.   Are they 1st time buyers? Good luck finding a bungalow you and OH really like now.

Emptybox

didn't realise it was bank hol beginning of August there. Weather forecast real bad for Monday here, but at least it was quite nice here today, bit chilly for the time of year though. That is good you are making good progress work wise, did you get out to do your gardens today?

We did manage to go to Costco today whilst carers looked after mum. Wow at the free food samples, I certainly took good advantage of them....I tried BBQ crisps, dried blueberries, vegetable juice, raisin cake, 2 small quiches, coconut cashews, some cheese, and OH also tried some cooked chicken breast and steak.

Do you go Saturdays and try the sampling Hicky?

Well CBB is certainly entertaining, if not real weird.

So does this mean we only have the 3 on the scrap heap up for eviction now? If so, I'd prefer Kellie to go, as Kellie keeps saying she wants to go.

time to give the doggie her tablets, then bed.

Goodnight both x

M

Evening Both.

Had a busy day, trying to get a phone that works properly with the blackvue camera system.

I ended up with a Samsung Galaxy S5, only ÂĢ535 with ÂĢ45 for the case.

At least it works fantastic.

i can call the camera up from nearby and play the video files back in HD as it should be.

It also controls my TV and Freeview box, some phone eh.

Been looking at a bungalow online, O/H seeing it Tuesday, my lad will go as well.

It has a big garden, big front big garage, and drive in.

It's got a big fish pond as well.

Emptybox, We may have to move out as we have accepted an offer for the house, Have seen a bungalow that would do ok for the price, big gardens, garage etc, O/H going to see it with my lad Tuesday.

The new tablets seem to be better anyway so i'm all for them.

I'm going to work Tuesday to start with, might work all week, could do with the money, and don't like leaving this boss on his own, don't really want him on my computer as he doesn't really know what he's doing, neither does the other boss if it comes to that, but he's away.

Enjoying CBB, they are all nuts anyway.

Mollie, Birthday went very well thanks, The Birthday meal went well, love the Banquets,I had soup then a variety of starters, crispy this and that, seaweed, salt & pepper ribs, then Suck, then a meal, i had beef curry and fried rice. The little ones just picked at things.

We don't go to Costco's Saturday, too busy, i would, but O/H likes it quiet.

I would love the samples, save me making a meal.

There are more than 3 on the scrapheap, 5 i think, Gary, Frenchy, Kellie, David and 1 to be decided.

Went to my lads for a piece of Birthday cake.

Hicky

Hi Hicky.

That sounds like a fantastic phone. Very pricy though. You could get a very good computer or telly for the same price.

Glad you enjoyed the family meal.

And I hope the bungalow your OH is seeing on Tuesday turns out as nice as it looks on the internet.

Nice day here.

Got my grass cut, and did my weekly shop at the supermarket.

emptybox

Evening Emptybox.

Not too bad a day, had some dry spells, we went to Parkgate for Fish & Chips.

Have saved som of the pics of the Bungalow, garden seems quite big, it's got a garage and sheds, somewhere, it seems a big pond.

Plenty of raised beds i notice, also lots of grass.

O/H was thinking of putting the Gazebo somewhere.

I haven't show more inside as they only show some fitted wardrobes etc.

I see the ones up for eviction are Claire, David, Gary, James & Kelly.

Good evening both

Hicky

Glad you enjoyed the birthday meal out. And I bet you enjoyed your treat of fish and chips today.

Thanks for posting the bungalow piccies...that looks like a lovely garden for you, and how handy it will be when you and OH don't have the stairs to cope with. I think you said you weren't moving not far away, so I take it you know the area? Hope your OH likes it when she views.

Hope you enjoy using your new phone. As you know I don't like techy stuff, so my phone is a ÂĢ7 PAYG from Argos.

Emptybox

glad you got a nice day weather wise, as you know it was bank hol here today and the weather was awful. Such a shame for all the holidaymakers staying in the caravan parks.

We looked after mum most of the day because the carers are double price on bank hols, and her day centre were closed for bank hol today. So took her shopping, she can't walk far, so took her to the cafe too. It is tiring watching her all day, as she tends to wonder off and get lost, even inside the house.

She has carers till 3pm tomorrow, then we take over until bedtime, so i can get some jobs done.

Enjoyed CBB again, what interesting characters. Prefer Kelly to go.

goodnight both xxx

M

Hi guys.

That looks like a spacious bungalow Hicky. Certainly a lot of scope with the garden.

Pity you didn't get good weather Mollie, but still managed to take your Mum out.

Unfortunately I'm not very well at the moment. Haven't been myself for a few days, if truth be told, and I've hardly been able to eat anything over the weekend.

Got an emergency appointment at the doctors this morning, and she's put me on a course of anti-biotics Can't wait for them to start working, as I'm feeling very sorry for myself at the moment. And I hardly got any sleep last night.

emptybox

Morning Both.

It's going to be ok today i think, warmer anyway, 18C.

Mollie, That fish & chip shop really does give you the best, fish cooked to order, and if it's a bit small you get 2 fish.

The garden looks well kept doesn't it? not keen on a pond and a lot of waste space, i like to be able to eat what i grow, not look at it.

Lots of changes needed i think, but it gives me food for thought.

My leg seems a lot easier with the new tablets, less pain anyway.

It's great having the phone talking to the camera, i can play back the video clips, the quality of the picture on this phone is unbelievable.

I agree about Kelly, seems very argumentative to me.

Emptybox, Sorry to hear your not well, hope the tablets ease things for you?

If Anti-Bio don't work in 2 days go back, could be wrong ones.

Lack of sleep is bad enough, but lack of food is awful.

It's going to be very quiet here with just me and 1 boss, when he arrives.

Hicky

Good afternoon both

Oh dear Emptybox

so sorry to hear you are unwell,.... it is unlike you and you must feel rough to have to go to the docs, and then put on anti-biotics. Hopefully the tablets will soon fix it, but take it easy whilst you are on anti-biotics, especially as you are off your food. Don't forget that those drinks/yogurts are supposed to be good to have whilst on anti-biotics as they have friendly bacteria. If you can't eat much, these creamy ones are delicious and easy to eat.

http://www.danoneactivia.co.uk/

If you can watch a bit of daytime tv to unwind, I like Judge Rinder on itv weekdays 2pm. I put it on originally for mum to watch, but i like it too.

Hicky

hope the viewing goes well, and as you say it looks a well kept garden, but the fish pond takes up a lot of room.

That is good that the tablets are helping the pain in your leg, better than the other ones.

Your phone sounds a good bit of equipment, hopefully us here will get to see plenty of nice photos from it.

Hope it is not too boring for you at work as it is so quiet.

Feels warmer today, was raining again first thing, but cleared up now, so will put washing out.

Mum with carers till 3pm, then comes to us for tea till bedtime.

Wonder who will be first out of the house on Wednesday?

M

Evening Mollie.

The viewing didn't come to much, they rang up and said they had had a cash offer and had accepted it so it wasn't worth a viewing.

My lad wasn't happy with that so told O/H to ring back and say she still would like to see the place.

Anyway, they went later than original, it needs ÂĢ10k spending to get it sorted, the place stinks of smoke, very bad, the garden is great.

So will keep looking for now.

The new tablets do seem better,

My O/H went to work this morning and the girl from the pharmacy said to her there is some medication for me,

It was the 100 Codeine tablets and the package was dated 31 July which is strange as it was after that date that i was looking for them.

The betting has David to go Saturday.

Hicky

Hicky

sorry the viewing did not come to much, but good job your OH still went round it, as I think it is only by viewing plenty of places that you really know what you are looking for, and of course which ones are worth the money.

We are hoping to view a few places to buy this week, thinking of pooling some of mum's cash with ours and sorting an annex for her. Now she needs looking after 24/7 I feel we don't have a life of our own, with all the travelling to her flat and back. (although the carers are just lovely, and I am glad for the help we get from them).

That is strange about the date for your tablets.

Can't say I am a fan of David's but think I would prefer Kelly to go.

Hope Emptybox's tablets are starting to make him feel a bit better, and he sleeps ok tonight.

Have you managed to eat today Emptybox?

Back to watching CBB now.

M

Hi guys.

I'm feeling a bit brighter today. I think the antibiotics are beginning to work.

I got a reasonable amount of sleep last night, which made a big difference.

The previous night I had woken up sweating and shaking in bed, which was why I rang for an emergency appointment.

The doctor was not sure what was wrong, but thought I had an infection of some sort, hence the antibiotics.

I thought it might be a urinary tract infection, but she couldn't find anything in a urine sample to indicate that, but she's sending that off.

She also gave me a prostate examination. But didn't think there was anything to worry about there either.

She said my heartrate was raised, which indicated I was fighting an infection.

Still not much of an appetite, but I ate a light meal tonight, and had a small sandwich for lunch, with no ill effects.

Pity the bungalow turned out not to be suitable Hicky.

Glad the new pills are doing the trick though.

Hi Mollie. Blimey, you've only just got through one move, and you're already thinking of your next.

But I guess a house for all of you (Mum included) makes sense.

I haven't succumbed to daytime telly yet.

Trouble is, if I don't keep up with the grass cutting I'll have some very unhappy customers, so I'm hoping I can start to ease back into doing some work in the next couple of days. Provided I keep on getting better that is.

emptybox

Good evening both xx

so David has gone...can't say I will miss him, but wouldn't of missed Claire or Kelly either.

Am still enjoying the show though.

I quite like your Steph Emptybox.   What a beautiful woman she is. And I like her banter with George.

How funny was the MOrris dancing last night...George seemed to have a lot more stamina whilst dancing that James, the professional dancer did.

So glad you are feeling a bit better Emptybox, and are managing some food. If you think it might be urine infection, don't forget to drink lots of water. Good news that you can rule out prostrate problems though. Yes best not to return to your gardens until you feel better. You will catch up a lot quicker if you wait until you are yourself again.

Hicky

well the betting you mentioned turned out to be correct tonight. Has your OH got any more viewings lined up yet?

Tonight is the 2nd night we have been able to leave the carers to put mum to bed, so we got home at 8.30, which is better than the usual 9.30pm. Hope this continues, didn't manage to get a carer for tomorrow night though. Mum will be with carers till 3pm tomorrow though, so should be able to catch up on a few jobs.

Goodnight both, hope you sleep ok tonight Emptybox, and have managed to eat ok today.

M

Hi Mollie.

I slept well last night, but didn't feel too good this morning.

I felt OK by lunchtime though, so actually went out and did one job. Perhaps a bad idea, but I can't just leave them.

I felt a bit weak and feeble, but that's to be expected.

I feel not bad tonight, but just hope I don't feel bad again in the morning.

Had another light meal tonight, but I was actually quite hungry.

I've been drinking a lot of water, and the occasional cup of weak tea, but I haven't had a beer since Friday.

Glad you were able to get home a bit earlier tonight, and you've got plenty of carers for your Mum.

Yes, I wasn't really bothered who went on CBB either.

I'm not keen on Gary at all, but knew he wasn't going anywhere.

I did put in one vote for Claire, because I didn't want her to go.

emptybox

Good afternoon Both.

Weather warming up for the next seek or so.

Have got the people round again tonight that are buying the house, O/H doesn't want to show them round so is letting the Agent sort it.

My car didn't seem to be running right yesterday and the dash 'Engine' light came on this morning.

Rang the garage and am taking it in in the morning, was going to come to work but not now.

Mollie, hope you managed to view a few places to live, all the traveling isn't good, and it takes so much time up.

David going won't effect much in the house, hardly even noticed him.

That is strange between Steph and George, they seem to think the world of each other, George did better than James in the Morris dancing, James probably thought it was beneath him.

Emptybox, Hope the Anti-Bio's have sorted you out so you can get back to work.

Hope your eating is back on track as well as that helps you get better.

I felt so tired today, could be the early starts.

Won't be able to lie in tomorrow either if i have to take my car in, at least i'll get a few hours extra.

Will be eating out tonight anyway, will go with O/H in hers.

Hicky

Hi Hicky.

I heard about the warmer weather due. It's been quite warm today.

Pity about your car. Hope the garage sort it out.

Unfortunately I had a bad night last night, and my tummy has been upset all day.

Perhaps I did the wrong thing doing some work yesterday, but I'm beginning to think these anti-biotics aren't doing much. I'm half way through the course and I don't really feel any better. There are times when I feel OK, but then I feel rotten again.

Of course, if I've got something other than a bacterial infection, then anti-biotics wouldn't work anyway.

Beginning to think another visit to the docs is needed.

Enjoy your meal out anyway.

emptybox

Evening Emptybox.

Went to the American Hickory eating place, had some good food, they sure look after you.

And they have their own open-zone for the Wifi so we could use the mobiles.

I had some little sausages for starters with spicy ribs and a nice pudding, we had other bits to pick at and lovely dips.

Took the car in earlier with getting back from work early and left it with them so i can sleep in as i'm getting overtired with CBB being on late.

Took the front camera out though.

If Anti-Bio's don't work within 2 days they aren't going to, get them changed or find out what the problem is.

Hope whatever it is isn't too serious anyway.

The people buying the house want to arrange for their mortgage people to price the house.

The people buying it came round tonight for the second time.

Hicky

Good evening both

Emptybox

oh dear, sorry to hear you are still unwell. As you now realise, looks like  you really were not ready to go back to work yet, especially as your work is so physical.

That is the trouble, anti-biotics can give you stomach upsets, so maybe this type might not be suiting you?  It is also hard to know if it is the illness making you feel unwell or the meds, so probably best to go back to docs tomorrow if you have another bad night. They should have some idea if you need some different type of meds or if it is a virus, which as you say the meds won't help.

Try and get that rest in tomorrow, with a bit of Judge Rinder at 2pm, to help unwind. I find that show so funny.

Hope you feel better soon.

Hicky

that is good that you enjoyed your meal out tonight.

Shame about the car, hope it is sorted out ok and is not too expensive to fix. Yes that is the trouble with CBB not being on till 10pm some nights, it is a late night for you as you have to get up so early. Enjoy your lie in tomorrow.

Hope the mortgage people let the buyers borrow what they need for the house.

Didn't get home from putting mum to bed till 9.20pm, we looked after her from 3pm. The carer got her up this morning, the carer today is only a teenager, but mum really likes her. Mum was tucking into her marmalade, toast and coffee when I rang at 8.30am today and mum told me her carer was lovely and was a good cook.

Thank goodness for the pause on Sky, which meant I missed not a thing from CBB tonight.

Would prefer Kellie to go, find her very negative. Gosh the whole house do seem to be picking on Gary.

Goodnight both xx

M

Hi guys.

Had another bad night so called the docs at 8am and went in as an emergency appointment.

Saw a different female doctor, and she's put me on a stronger anti-biotic.

They still seem to think it's a bacterial infection that I've got.

She took blood for testing, and I've made another appointment for Tuesday to get the results.

Hopefully I'll feel better by then, otherwise I'll be in a right state.

Feel weak as a kitten right now. Wasn't sure if I was up to driving, but it wasn't too bad.

You're right about anti-biotics Mollie; when you read the leaflet the possible side effects include all the symptoms you're wanting to get cured.

Don't feel too bad at the mo. I took a nap in a chair earlier.

Glad you enjoyed your meal Hicky. Didn't realise you could eat hickory?

Hope the car gets fixed OK.

Yes, think it should be Kellie that goes.

emptybox

Good Afternoon Mollie.

Had a nice lay in, needed it as well.

This new phone really is a marvel, i just call up a TV listing and i get the lot, all the programs, any day, any time, fantastic.

I can select the voice icon and tell the phone i want Twitter and it opens Twitter, of say "Facebook" and it opens, i said "Blackvue" and it opened the camera App straight away.

It will take some getting used to, never knew phones were this clever.

If i want the weather, it doesn't matter where you are it tells you the weather exactly were you are.

I just pressed the mic search icon and said "Weather", the phone opened the weather page, it spoke to me and said "it is 17C today in CH49" marvelous.

Edit:

Wrote the post hours ago, forgot to post it.

Anyway, the garage rang this afternoon, they said it was a sensor to do with the Turbo unit that triggered the alarm signal light, they took it for a test and it did seem a bit sluggish, they are short staffed so couldn't do more this week, i could have had a car off them but thats always a last resort for me, hate other peoples cars, they said i could keep mine and see how it goes, they cancelled the alarm signal light on the dash and said see how it is and i can ring them Monday, see if the light comes back on or see how the car drives.

I came home in the car and the light didn't go on, will see how it goes, it does look like a Turbo fault.

Emptybox

sorry to hear you had another bad night. Fingers crossed the new meds suit you better. Glad to hear you took a day time nap, you really do need to do this whilst unwell and on strong meds. Hope you have a better night tonight.

Hicky

glad to hear you are still pleased with your new phone.   Hope your car holds up over the weekend, and they sort it ok next week. Is you OH viewing any more bungalows this weekend?

Well on CBB...who on earth voted to keep in that Kellie?...I find her so depressingly whingy...always seems to have the "poor me" syndrome.   Glad to see George, Steph, Audley and Gary kept in though.

Took mum out to Harvester with us for tea tonight, she only had a pudding though, but she always manages to eat it, and the fruit is good for her...she had apple and blackurrant crumble with custard, and I had delicous goats cheese pasta with salad.

Hope you feel well enough to eat better again soon Emptybox.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Mollie.

Glad Steph was saved, wanted Kelly to go really.

Had to delete a tweet on twitter because i asked the phone to open Twitter, not sure if it was already open but it posted what i said, The tweet said "Open Twitter Please" i saw it on the computer and though, wow, better delete that people will wonder what i am doing.

You can ask the phone a question, it's crazy

You can say to the phone, "wake me at 6am", thats it.

But with a 249 page manual it may take a while to understand it.

I printed the manual at work as the great printer can do anything so i printed it double side and A5 size and stapled it in 3 sections as it was 62 pages thick.

We are looking at another Bungalow tomorrow, problem is i think it will be too small, the kitchen seems small and the garden does as well.

Hicky

Hi guys.

Not feeling too bad at all today, and I got a good night's sleep. Tummy still feeling a little delicate though, but I had a cooked breakfast without any consequences.

Just hope it's the new meds doing their job, but I felt similar when I first started taking the previous lot. They seemed to be working for a couple of days, then I went back to feeling bad again. So I'm not counting my chickens yet.

Bit cloudy and windy here, but quite warm.

If I'm not up to starting work again on Monday, I'll have to start phoning people up and seeing if they can make alternative arrangements to get their grass cut, as some have been waiting 3 weeks now.

Don't really want to have to do that, as I'll likely lose business as a consequence. But if I'm not up to it, I won't have a choice.

That new phone of yours sounds great Hicky.

I've got a 3 or 4 year old Android phone, but it doesn't do voice activation. It has voice search, but if you say "twitter" it just searches for that on Google, rather than opening the app.

Mind you, mine was free whereas yours cost half a grand.

Hope you like the bungalow you see today.

Hi Mollie

Glad your Mum enjoyed her pud, at the Harvester.

Yes I agree about Kellie. Leslie was at least entertaining.

Going to have a bath, then I think I'll have a small portion of spag bol while watching the X-Factor. Think I'd better eschew the beer though. (just for now)

Evening Emptybox.

Hope the good start to the day carries on for a week.

Would be a pity to have to cancel your work schedule.

A miserable sort of day here.

16C but rain at any time, just had tea out in the Gazebo, Pork Belly slices & Lamb chops with fried sliced baby spuds, sliced onion & sliced fried mushroom with a cup of tea.

You must just have 'Voice Search' the app for commanding is 'S Voice', 'Voice Search' is to search on the web.

I didn't go to see the Bungalow, my lad went with my O/H i was having brekkie.

I thought it was too small, they thought it might be big enough.

There is one a few miles away that is pretty big but needs quite a lot of work doing, but of course that is reflected in the price.

Picked more Raspberries today, the weather is spoiling them, i now have 3.75kg in the freezer.

Had a notification letter from the Docs, can book my Flu Jab for September.

Looking up about smoke coming from the exhaust and it seems that a split intercooler pipe will do it, will look tomorrow, it's just inside the engine cover, seems there are a few of these hoses.

Just going to watch X-Factor

Hope Mollie will be able to watch it as well, hope her Mum is ok also.

Hicky

Good evening both

Phheeww...glad to say that I did just manage to watch X factor, followed by CBB, thanks to the pause and record function.   The lovely carer took over putting mum to bed at 8pm, so we were back home at 8.25. So hard working these carers are...this one got mum up at 8am, had a few hours off in the middle of the day , then still had 2 visits to others, after she finished putting my mum to bed at 9pm, so she was not due off duty till 10.45pm! Think they are undervalued, as they do not earn a lot.

Hicky

I had to at you not going to view the bungalow as you were busy having brekkie. You certainly have your priorities right there.   If your OH finds anything suitable you can always go with her for her 2nd viewing, can't you? Might be worth checking out the one that needs work, I like ones that need work if you can get them for the right price, as you can then use the savings you make on the price to do it up from scratch how it suits you.

Hope you can sort your car out ok.

Gosh that is a lot of raspberries you have.

Emptybox

glad you feel a bit better, fingers crossed you carry on improving now and that these meds do the job better. That would be such a shame if you lose customers, isn't there anyone you know who you could get to help you out just this once, (someone who won't nick your customers?)...eg your nephew for a bit of pocket money? But of course if you aren't well, you can't do it, incase you put your recovery back. Hope you managed to enjoy your spag bol. Hope you get a good rest and a bit of a nap tomorrow, then hopefully you might feel a lot better for Monday.

Oh good weather forecast looking good for us all tomorrow, it has been rather grey here today, and with a chilly wind.

OH did a lot of driving to mums again today, as we could only get care on split shifts today. Wish we still lived nearer, never mind hopefully we can get back there again soon.

Goodnight both xx

Evening Mollie.

Watching Father Ted, such a laugh.

Been looking at pictures of this other Bungalow, I'll see if i can give you a link, it seems fine to me, O/H says it needs a new Kitchen & Bathroom and floors.

But the main thing is overall area is fine, it is a big garden and has what looks like a massive garage or sheds, not sure what it is.

Plenty of room for me to work with anyway.

Enjoyed X-Factor, on tomorrow as well.

CBB not very interesting though.

Gone off Kelly, awful.

Hicky

Good evening both

Emptybox
hope you slept ok last night and feel a bit brighter today. Do you think you are up for going gardening tomorrow? I know you said you will need to pass work on tomorrow if you aren't.

Hicky
thanks for the rightmove link. The bungalow and garden look lovely and spacious. And excellent for you to be able to choose your own kitchen/bathroom.  I like houses like this that are blank canvases you can do up.  I notice it says "Under offer", but at least that does not mean "sold", so anyone else can put in another offer.
Do you follow that great bit of software called "property bee"?

I see that bungalow has been up for sale since March and has had 2 price reductions since then, so should be a good buy.

I have copied and pasted the property bee history incase you don't have it...

Yes I used to love watching Father Ted, so funny.

Looking forward to X factor tonight, I agree CBB not been so good with Kellie going on and on about the same subject, like a stuck record.

I'd like to see more of the other HM's.

Been a lovely day here today, hope it has for you both too.

Sat in garden and had brekkie at Asda with OH.

OH took mum home tonight, so I don't need to pause X factor.

My ribs were painful today, so need to slow down a bit, hard work looking after mum, and rest of jobs.

Have a good evening both, at least we have something to watch tonight.

X factor time now.

Evening Mollie.

We went to see the Bungalow this morning, my lad came as well, he loves it.

of course it's not as big as the pictures make it look.

It needs a new kitchen, bathroom, rewiring, new central heating, new flooring, front & back doors, redecorating right through, an on suit putting in.

The garden needs a lot of work and i think with the grass being sited low it's always going to be waterlogged so i will rebuild the garden with blue slate or something, it would only need 7 tons, but you can get 10 tonne for ÂĢ400

It has a big garage, and if i get rid of the growth all the way around i could put a path round by the fence, would buy a Gazebo etc.

We made an offer, don't know what the other offer was but they told us it had been accepted, so we are very excited.

We had brekkie out as well, the usual place, .

X-Factor wasn't very exciting, but it's early days.

watching BB now.

Hope Emptybox is feeling better and will be ok for work.

I'm going to work in my car but it seems to blow smoke when it's up hill, will see if i can get a car from the garage while they try and sort it out.

Hicky

Wow Hicky! How exiting is that, you found a new home. Oh boy that was quick, you only found it yesterday and have the offer accepted already.

It sounds great for you, as you can see all the improvements you can do to it already. Lovely to have a big garage too to store your things, and put a path round. Good job you have sold your own place before you put the offer in, as that helped your offer get accepted.

And it is also good the bungalow has no chain involved, so minimum delay to yourselves to take it over and start the work.

Is your buyer a first time buyer? Hope all goes through nice and smoothly now.

That is not good if smoke is coming out of the car, let's hope it gets sorted quickly for you.

Goodnight both xx

M

Congratulations Hicky.

That looks a great little house with a lot of potential to put your own stamp on it.

You'll have a lot of fun redesigning the garden especially.

That's very fast work getting the offer in and accepted so quick.

Hope your car is relatively easily fixed.

I've been OK again today. Improved a bit from yesterday, so things are going in the right direction. Still feel a bit weak though, so not sure if I can do much work tomorrow? I'll see what sort of a night I have.

Plus the meds make me a bit light-headed.

I don't know anybody who could help me out Mollie. That's the disadvantage in being an antisocial b*gger; you don't know people.

I know one other gardener, but I only know his nickname. I don't know how to contact him.

Nephews' too far away to be able to help. Plus one's working full time, and the other's at school.

I should be OK if I can ease back into it in the next few days. People will understand once I tell them I've been sick, hopefully.

Hi Mollie.

It was a lovely warm day here as well. I didn't get out in it much, but I went to the supermarket this afternoon.

Didn't need much, as I've hardly been eating anything. But I had to throw out a punnet of raspberries that had gone mouldy, plus half a loaf of bread.

I've lost about half a stone since I was ill.

Yes you must look after your ribs. Don't want you going sick as well.

I've been watching CBB this last week, but not paying it that much attention really.

Morning Everyone.

Came to work in the car, no option really, didn't want to miss Monday it's a busy day.

Will ring the garage later, the Engine light came on this morning again.

Mollie.

The people buying ours aren't first time buyers and the mortgage company bloke comes tomorrow to assess the value, just hope it goes ok for them.

Hope your Ribs aren't playing up?

Emptybox.

Glad you're feel a little better, wow half a stone, it comes off so quick doesn't it.

Shop Raspberries don't last long once they get home, i suppose they should be eaten the same day, the next day at the latest, the fresh ones of mine probably last longer.

We will have to do some alterations in the front to be able to get the cars in and out easier.

O/H wants the driveway block paving again like we had this one, and to get new gates fitted by the front door to use the space behind which is wasted at the mo because it's in front of the existing gate which is one piece and massive.

Good afternoon both

Emptybox

glad you are a bit perkier now, let's hope if you did a bit of gardening work that it doesn't make you feel unwell. Shame your nephews are too far away to help you out. Gosh half a stone off, you will need to feed yourself up with a good glass of Guiness when you are really better and finished the meds.

Hicky

hope the garage can look at the car today, as the light came on again.Good job you got to work ok in it though.

You are right about raspberries, I often end up throwing half a pack out the day after buying them, if they don't get eaten straight away.

I can see you have some good ideas of how to make better use of the oustide of the bungalow, as well as the inside. Bet you can't wait to move now and make a start.

Hope the valuer's visit goes ok for your buyer tomorrow. Have your buyers sold their place?

Just collected mum from the day centre she goes to. It is special for people with dementia, they are so nice to them and do activities to help them. She likes going, She goes 3 days a week.

Rainy this morning, but cleared up and warm now.

Not keen on CBB last night. Didn't like the bubble task with the 2 men in it, and didn't like the way James spoke to Gary either.

Hope we have a better episode tonight.

have a good day both xxx

M

Evening.

Feeling not bad at all tonight. (not wanting to jinx it)

I did 4 hours work today, to ease myself into it.

Was tired, but seemed to get stronger as I went on.

The grass hadn't grown as much as I'd feared anyway.

Just hope I don't pay for it tomorrow, as I get the results of my blood tests in the afternoon.

May try to do some work beforehand, depending on how I feel.

Your car sounds like it needs more attention Hicky. Hope it doesn't let you down.

Are you planning to do the work on the new bungalow before you move, or will you move in first and then take on the projects?

You've got plenty to do certainly.

Hi Mollie. Don't know about Guiness, but I'm certainly looking forward to enjoying my beer again.

I guess I could have had it on the days I felt OK, because it's not one of the things to avoid with this particular anti-biotic, but I've mostly been sticking to water.

You have to avoid a lot of tea, coffee, cola and chocolate, because the med alters the effect caffeine has on the body making it much more potent.

You're also supposed to not have much milk or yoghurt etc, as it stops the med working properly for some reason.

That's good that you've got the day centre for your Mum to go.

Cloudy first thing here, then a warm sunny afternoon.

Evening Mollie.

Took the car in tonight, will have to see how it goes.

Not working tomorrow anyway.

Picked some more Raspberries, have over 4kg now, will ask my neighbour if he wants some for baking.

I have got 5 plum trees, 3 gages, 3 cherry, 2 peach, 1 Kiwi berry, 1 fig, 1 apple,, 1 family apple, 1 normal pear, 1 Asian pear, 1 family pear.

Why are Mars Bars so Nice?

For the garden i was thinking of a walkway alongside the fence all the way round with the tubs next and then another path.

This gives a walkway to check on the fence and also to attend one side of the fruit trees, and a path to attend to the other side of the trees.

O/H wants the area outside the rear patio doors decked out, which would probably need to extend to the front edge of the garage.

A gazebo would go down the garden on a raised deck area and all around this would be plum stone deep enough to stop you getting wet.

Hope Emptybox is feeling better today.

Hicky
