Pity about the tiles running out but the ridges take a lot, and having 6 of them takes a lot of tiles, each strip of tiles makes 5 ridge tiles, so it's nearly a pack of tiles just for them.

Haven't ordered the Lobster tails yet, with have to wait a week now, will have to order more tiles.

Can't you get a dehumidifier to get rid of some damp for now, it takes in the air and puts the water into a container inside, you then empty it.

But it could be a way out for now.

Damp in rooms is dreadful for your health.

Hi Mollie. The damp/mould in your house certainly sounds bad. Much worse than mine I think.

There are a few active bits, especially in the downstairs hall. And there is a lot of plaster damage from past damp that is now dry.

But the bedroom is OK, and I've never had mould on clothes or bed linen etc.

I do have to periodically clean mould spots in the bathroom, but that's down to condensation, and it's not too bad anyway.

Louisa is certainly OTT, and I can see why Jim doesn't like her, but she's very funny as well.

I gave CBB a rest last night but 'm on catch up to-day ,funny how we can all see the same programme and disagree ,I am rapidly going off Louisa ,sorry If that makes me unpopular  the breast lactate thing was yuk and  her antics and spite too much for me  and of course I would never disrespect your opinions on here , boring I we all liked the same .

I find Liz more entertaining ...yes her views on animals may get some peoples back up ,but I like her and Jim (much to my surprise a lesser man would have walked out ) I believe they are doing things to make him lose his temper big time ...only my opinion but I stand by It .

Yes I get the damp spots in the bathroom still condensation.. emptybox and damp towels that lazy sons and not letting air comes to mind even though I have double glazing Its there .

thanks for the dehumidifier idea. Good idea, you have now reminded my we have 2 of these in the garage, from when we had some damp in our old stone house in the valleys. (not as bad as here though). I will give them a go and see if they help.

I can see I like the same 2 HM's you do. I so like Liz and have done since the beginning of the show, always feared she would get evicted when she was up, but was so glad she was not.   I have hopes she is becoming more popular, it would be lovely to see her in the final, and such a boost to her confidence.

I too also love Jim. He was so funny last night the way he was moaning.  And he certainly does have something to moan about the way they are being nasty to him and preventing him going to sleep at night. I think he also shows control the way he does not go off on one when they argue with him. Don't like the way Linda as well as Louisa stirs it for him. I think some of the chauvenistic comments he makes are tongue in cheek. Interesting how Cassie gets on with him.

Emptybox, when you use the dehumidifier you should have a humidity gauge in the same room so that the humidity doesn't go too low.

Too low sin't good for you either.

I suppose 65% to 80% is ok.

Been to the docs about my R/H Joints, have had an X Ray on my hip, but i think my knee has gone as well.

Yes I had quite forgotten we had previously used dehumidifiers, and there were 2 in the garage.   With OH being away, and my mum needing a lot more help, weekends are such a rush now, so I tend to forget stuff. I have switched them on now though.

I've got a spot/wart on my temple that I'm suspicious of.

It's been there for years, but seems to have turned redder in the last fortnight.

It's not sore or anything, but I'll let the doc have a prod of it anyway.

The humidifier I've got has a dial on it, so when it's fully on it carries on taking out water regardless, but if you set it to the middle setting, it only keeps going until the humidity is down to the right level.

With the dehumidifier you should not take the humidity lower than would be normal really.

Well my doc's visit took all of five minutes. He took one look at the spot and said that it was probably seborrheic keratosis, and harmless. He squirted it with liquid nitrogen, and now I look like I've got a wasp sting on my head.

He said if it hasn't gone in about three weeks to come back and see him.

I don't like the way it calls it "senile warts" in that linked article.

I've barely got off the starting blocks, I'll have you know.

Actually I'm very prone to moles and various other lumps and bumps, and he froze two much larger ones off my back a couple of years ago.

Always best to go and get it checked, if you are worried about your mole Frodo.

If it's got an owner in the area it could probably easily find it's way back there itself.

Chances are, it's a stray or feral cat, so there's no harm in you continuing to look after it.

Emptybox, it sounds as though your warty thing is harmless, which is very good.

The boss said they would run me to the factory exit when it's time to go as it's rather a long way for me to walk with my knee & hip gone.

He also said i could leave at 3pm and someone would drive me to the exit each day i'm working.

We have about 4 battery operated trucks, most are 3 wheelers originally for either running persons around the factory sightseeing or for transporting equipment for breakdowns, we just hire them.

I don't know who will go tonight, maybe Sam, it won't be Jim.

Glad you are feeling better, but don't overdo it until you are 100%.

Food delivery is great, and so easy for me. The delivery guy brings it into the house in big crates. He comes right into the kitchen and unpacks it onto the kitchen units. It doesn't cost much to deliver with most supermarkets if you get mid week and it is free with Sainsburys if you spend over £100. And of course you can include not only food, but stuff like washing powder to make up the £100.

Don't worry about feeding the cat, I agree with Emptybox, no harm in you feeding it. If it does have a home, you feeding it, will not stop it going home for a feed there too.   Or maybe they are not giving it enough food?  And of course if it is stray or feral, then it will be so glad of your nice food.

5C here, had my hair cut earlier, not too short with it being winter.

Too cold to work in the garden with my bad leg.

Taking the tablets but not sure how much help they are.

Mollie, i think the way to use your dehumidifier is to set it to full on, control on max, but you really need a humidity meter of sorts to tell how dry/damp the room is and when the humidity is correct you turn the control very slowly till the machine cuts out, that should set the humidity level you want.

The bosses are very good to me, they run me around now which is a great help.

That was a nice roast dinner treat you had with your daughter, i love a good gravy.

O/H is making tea, she has a piece of pork for a roast tonight.

Had a crab this afternoon and some bacon this morning.

Wet overnight, but actually a nice sunny day in the main.

Been servicing my old mower. I think I've got the drive running better, and the blade sharpened.

It's difficult to tell if the drive will keep going, as I can only test it running it up and down behind the house.

It's probably OK to start the season off though, and I'll keep my eyes peeled for a new bargain one, in the meantime.

I know who I'll be voting to stay, but I won't say yet.

I like Jim and I think Linda is coming across as quite bitter, but she might have her genuine reasons, and he certainly delights in winding her up.

I haven't tried it myself, but I think you just paste the video url (web address) into your tweet, and the twitter software does the rest

Yes it seems colder here as well. I started doing my mower outside, but then retreated to the garage. There's no heating in there either, but it was a bit more pleasant.

Emptybox, To drive any vehicle in the factory you need a special license, a normal one is no good.

It wouldn't be much good to me anyway because i couldn't park at the exit thats why they drop me off usually and then take the truck back to the office,

It uses stacker truck batteries, but we can't charge them so we have to swap them when they are running out.

Glad to see your OH is looking after you and doing a nice roast meal. Hope those joint pains ease up soon. Thanks for the humidity hints, I will look for a humiidity meter as we don't have one of those. The machine does seem to fill up very quickly with water, a sign of how damp it is here. It is good to work in a place where the bosses are good to you.
