Pity about the tiles running out but the ridges take a lot, and having 6 of them takes a lot of tiles, each strip of tiles makes 5 ridge tiles, so it's nearly a pack of tiles just for them.
Haven't ordered the Lobster tails yet, with have to wait a week now, will have to order more tiles.
Can't you get a dehumidifier to get rid of some damp for now, it takes in the air and puts the water into a container inside, you then empty it.
I gave CBB a rest last night but 'm on catch up to-day ,funny how we can all see the same programme and disagree ,I am rapidly going off Louisa ,sorry If that makes me unpopular the breast lactate thing was yuk and her antics and spite too much for me and of course I would never disrespect your opinions on here , boring I we all liked the same .
I find Liz more entertaining ...yes her views on animals may get some peoples back up ,but I like her and Jim (much to my surprise a lesser man would have walked out ) I believe they are doing things to make him lose his temper big time ...only my opinion but I stand by It .
Hicky the Gazebo looks fantastic ...and I truly mean that wonderful ,oh how I would love to sit in that a cool drink of an evening just lounging ,a cosy little den for your grandchildren...magical and I am jealous xx.
Yes I get the damp spots in the bathroom still condensation.. emptybox and damp towels that lazy sons and not letting air comes to mind even though I have double glazing Its there .
The dog seems OK now Mollie spoilt maybe comes to mind
you know what with this CBB they have arguments and still can't let things go
we all have them If we all held a grudge in real life how pathetic ..sorry means moving on to me ...sees you all xxxxx
thanks for the dehumidifier idea. Good idea, you have now reminded my we have 2 of these in the garage, from when we had some damp in our old stone house in the valleys. (not as bad as here though). I will give them a go and see if they help.
hope work was not too busy and you got a bit of free time to surf the net and got a good brekkie too.
Emptybox
glad your damp is not as bad as here. When are they due to come and check your roof/windows?
Yes indeed I can see why Jim does not like Louisa, I too do not find her likeable, but she had certainly provided C5 with some footage.
Fredo
aawww sorry you are not feeling good. Do you think the shivers and aches mean you are getting a cold? Hope you feel better soon.
I can see I like the same 2 HM's you do. I so like Liz and have done since the beginning of the show, always feared she would get evicted when she was up, but was so glad she was not. I have hopes she is becoming more popular, it would be lovely to see her in the final, and such a boost to her confidence.
I too also love Jim. He was so funny last night the way he was moaning. And he certainly does have something to moan about the way they are being nasty to him and preventing him going to sleep at night. I think he also shows control the way he does not go off on one when they argue with him. Don't like the way Linda as well as Louisa stirs it for him. I think some of the chauvenistic comments he makes are tongue in cheek. Interesting how Cassie gets on with him.
I love crunchy peanut butter. Daughter makes some lovely peanut butter cookies, we had some last week. Do you want the recipe, but I warn you , they are very moorish. Pleased doggie is fine now, and being spoilt.
CBB time.
edit....and even more interesting how Cassie has just nominated Jim....now that did come across as being a bit 2 faced to me!
Sorry to hear you are unwell Frodo. Hope you feel better soon.
Hopefully it was just sheer coincidence that you bought a large jar of peanut butter hours beforehand?
Hi Mollie. I could have told you that you had those dehumidifiers. I remember you've spoken of them before.
I couldn't have told you they were in the garage though. I'm not that good.
I've got one going myself, in the downstairs hall. Amazing how much water it pulls out.
No word on when they might come to look at my windows etc.
Actually, I don't think Casey was two-faced in nominating Jim, although I hoped she'd nominate Lee.
It was a straight choice between Jim or Lee, as she's getting on with the others. Plus she stupidly still has hopes of remaining friends with Lee, and she knows Jim says he wants to go and wouldn't hold it against her.
No Hicky yesterday..... hope they didn't work him too hard in the office yesterday. Hope you managed to get in your garden today Hicky.
Emptybox
aaahhh yes, you are right, Cassie might of nommed Jim as he said he wanted to go. But of course we don't believe any of them really want to go, even if they say they do, do we? I am sure each one of them would like to walk out the winner.
No way did I think she would nominate Lee as it is obvious she still fancies her chances with him. (imo, she must be mad).
I suppose there is no sign of roof/window work being sorted?
Yes I had quite forgotten we had previously used dehumidifiers, and there were 2 in the garage. With OH being away, and my mum needing a lot more help, weekends are such a rush now, so I tend to forget stuff. I have switched them on now though.
Frodo
hope you are feeling a bit better now.
Is it still very cold there?
Not so cold here today, but is raining yet again now.
Had shopping delivered by Sainsburys today, very handy as I need so many groceries, and it is free delivery Tuesdays to Thursdays, as I always have to spend over ÂĢ100.
Looking forward to CBB tonight, hope we have an interesting task.
sorry to hear you had to go back to docs about your joints. Hope the tablets ease it and the x ray can show up the problem. It would be nice if we had another good summer, so you and the family can get full enjoyment from that lovely gazebo, Hopefully your joint pain will ease when the weather gets warmer. Do you think it is worse because of the damp weather?
I am not keen on Louisa, but she does make for an interesting controvesial HM.
I hope Jim does stay, would prefer Sam to leave, as I really like Liz, and Sam has not really entertained us. I found it very annoying how Linda questioned and obviously did not like the fact Liz nommed Sam, Surely it is nothing to do with Linda who Liz chooses to nominate?
Hope we get a bit of dry weather so you can finish off your gazebo.
Dry but dull most of the day, but rain this evening.
Sorry to hear you are having so much problem with your joints Hicky. Hope the painkillers ease it for you.
Going to see the doctor myself tomorrow.
I've got a spot/wart on my temple that I'm suspicious of.
It's been there for years, but seems to have turned redder in the last fortnight.
It's not sore or anything, but I'll let the doc have a prod of it anyway.
The humidifier I've got has a dial on it, so when it's fully on it carries on taking out water regardless, but if you set it to the middle setting, it only keeps going until the humidity is down to the right level.
Yes, it's a great task this one.
Louisa and Dappy make a funny pair.
I also hope that Jim stays. Not really bothered whether Liz or Sam goes, but I guess Liz can sometimes be funny.
feeling much better .you know when even your eyelids hurt ,perhaps Its the start of a cold I slept quite a bit yesterday so perhaps that's what I needed.
Sorry to hear about your your joints Hicky I hope the tablets work ,even you must admit though you never let up and the cold doesn't help ,a holiday will do you good .The Gazebo looks wonderful as I have said a credit to you
Summer or Winter now you can sit there ,I would love one in my garden
Thanks for the photos of the house Louisa and Dappy chained to-gether looks fun ,Louisa has been a great housemate Its the sheer spite she shows that puts me off ,but I know you like your pretty ladies so I hope she stays for a while.
Hi Mollie yes I would love the peanut butter biscuits recipe I love It on crusty or digestive biscuits with strawberry jam ,remember Mickey with It digging the knife in (I think that was the year Rachael won) totally agree re the noms they certainly do not like a taste of their own medicine and I'm hoping the same that Sam goes to-night.
Never ordered groceries on line but I spend quite a bit ,how does It work when they deliver ? do you have to have baskets ready to transfer I have been longing to have a go tell me the ins and outs
Oh Emptybox I hope all Is well the spoton your temple.. worrying for you ,I have this mole on my back and I keep checking ItI hope It turns out just to be a scratch It will I'm sure x
.Eviction to-night so I wonder who will go
I do like Casey but I wish she would stay away from Lee ,what a player ,he said he had only just come out of a five year relationship , in my opininion she Is just as pretty as Jasmine ,
I know exactly what you mean by even your eyelids hurting.
Well my doc's visit took all of five minutes. He took one look at the spot and said that it was probably seborrheic keratosis, and harmless. He squirted it with liquid nitrogen, and now I look like I've got a wasp sting on my head.
He said if it hasn't gone in about three weeks to come back and see him.
I don't like the way it calls it "senile warts" in that linked article.
I've barely got off the starting blocks, I'll have you know.
Actually I'm very prone to moles and various other lumps and bumps, and he froze two much larger ones off my back a couple of years ago.
Always best to go and get it checked, if you are worried about your mole Frodo.
I haven't had peanut butter for years Frodo, but I do like nutella. In fact I like anything with nuts in it.
Was that truck run because your joints were playing up Hicky?
I saw those pics of Jasmine on her twitter.
I follow her, even though I don't really like her, just on the off-chance that she posts some sexy picters.
glad the doctor put your mind at rest for heavens sake whats wrong with sexy pictures as long as Its not porno ,Isn't that what makes the world go round ..
Yes feel so much better trembling and aching but I felt terrible yesterday
Worried about the little cat ..am I being selfish not reporting It .Its in my porch has fresh chicken everyday or beef .slices that you can get cheap I give I some fo a change fresh water efc still hisses at me ,,but It seems to know I'm on its side
looking forward to to-night ,let me know your thoughts on the cat
Emptybox, it sounds as though your warty thing is harmless, which is very good.
The boss said they would run me to the factory exit when it's time to go as it's rather a long way for me to walk with my knee & hip gone.
He also said i could leave at 3pm and someone would drive me to the exit each day i'm working.
We have about 4 battery operated trucks, most are 3 wheelers originally for either running persons around the factory sightseeing or for transporting equipment for breakdowns, we just hire them.
I don't know who will go tonight, maybe Sam, it won't be Jim.
Frodo, glad you feel a little better, it all helps, get plenty of sleep though.
The cat will only stay with you because you are feeding it.
So glad that has turned out not to be a problem mole....this bit of your post really made me laugh,,,
"I've barely got off the starting blocks, I'll have you know."
I am sure you are right there.
....and this bit too about Jasmine is so funny...
!I follow her, even though I don't really like her, just on the off-chance that she posts some sexy picters."
Good enought reason to follow her then I guess. You are hiliarous, I love your sense of humour.
I have a dial on my dehumidifier too, but didn't really understand what it was for. Makes sense what you say though.
Hicky
that is good that the boss will arrange to take you to the factory entrance while your joints are uncomfy. Sounds like your factory is a real big one? Hope the walk to the canteen is not too far? We can't have you missing out on your cooked brekkie.
Thanks for the Jasmine pics. Gosh she has to be the most glamourous hospital in patient I have ever seen. at the way she is posing on the bed.
Hi Fredo x
Glad you are feeling better, but don't overdo it until you are 100%.
Food delivery is great, and so easy for me. The delivery guy brings it into the house in big crates. He comes right into the kitchen and unpacks it onto the kitchen units. It doesn't cost much to deliver with most supermarkets if you get mid week and it is free with Sainsburys if you spend over ÂĢ100. And of course you can include not only food, but stuff like washing powder to make up the ÂĢ100.
what a lovely squirrel piccie. I don't like nutella, but do love peanut butter.
Don't worry about feeding the cat, I agree with Emptybox, no harm in you feeding it. If it does have a home, you feeding it, will not stop it going home for a feed there too. Or maybe they are not giving it enough food? And of course if it is stray or feral, then it will be so glad of your nice food.
Been really busy today, doing own jobs at home, then my mums, so daughter and I treated ourselves to roast dinner at little cafe. We love the gravy there, so have a whole jug each.
Looking forward to CBB.
Hope Jim and Liz stay. But think Liz might be in danger.
the weather to-day has been so awkward playing silly beggars towels at the ready for the dogs what a pain in the nether regions ...mmmm the cat Is bedding down in the porch ,oh how I wish Icould have her in the house ...but the dogs would kill her /him
They walk around each other *hey Is your food dish bigger than mine stoopid animals *
So Liz went last night seems Linda got to her too ,two sides to every story .
Do you know here I am sticking up for Jim Davison ,but I don't know his past or Linda's ,he may be all she Is saying who knows
Judging on the house not their past and quite a few of them come over a lot worse than him a clique has been formed ..and listen only my opinion Linda could have played this so much differently and I would have warmed to her
Nough said of CBB I hope you are feeling better Hicky and get some relief from the tablets kisses are between friends cos thats how I see you three
Mollie any chance of my recipe from your daughter for the peanut butter biscuits ? jar Is going down nicely but more on the way .thanks for the info on online shopping ...sounds good ,must remember to extra clean the kitchen when they are due
Hiya Emptybox prone to liking a few pinups myself Christian Bale I love
The Prestige film one of my favourites ....xxxtake care all
I put some lovely treats in my pockets for the animals and I have eaten them
must go and fill up again ...so this Is why the scales are static ..I love hobnobs and cheese ...by the way no fluff they were in tin foil ...wanders off again for other treats
5C here, had my hair cut earlier, not too short with it being winter.
Too cold to work in the garden with my bad leg.
Taking the tablets but not sure how much help they are.
Mollie, i think the way to use your dehumidifier is to set it to full on, control on max, but you really need a humidity meter of sorts to tell how dry/damp the room is and when the humidity is correct you turn the control very slowly till the machine cuts out, that should set the humidity level you want.
The bosses are very good to me, they run me around now which is a great help.
That was a nice roast dinner treat you had with your daughter, i love a good gravy.
O/H is making tea, she has a piece of pork for a roast tonight.
Had a crab this afternoon and some bacon this morning.
Wasn't really surprised Liz went, and Linda is down to go Friday i would think.
Frodo, thanks for the kisses, don't get many of those.
I'm liking them all in the house really.
Not sure about the winner, but Jim is way ahead i think.
Wet overnight, but actually a nice sunny day in the main.
Been servicing my old mower. I think I've got the drive running better, and the blade sharpened.
It's difficult to tell if the drive will keep going, as I can only test it running it up and down behind the house.
It's probably OK to start the season off though, and I'll keep my eyes peeled for a new bargain one, in the meantime.
Quite a surprise about those up for eviction?
I know who I'll be voting to stay, but I won't say yet.
I like Jim and I think Linda is coming across as quite bitter, but she might have her genuine reasons, and he certainly delights in winding her up.
Hi Frodo.
Yes probably better to keep the cat in the porch, whilst you have dogs in the house.
Christian Bale eh? Can't say I'm religious myself.
Whenever I've embedded a video I've just posted the embedding code into the forum or site that I want it. But it obviously has to support embedded video.
I used to put a lot of youtube videos on my myspace page.
I see you've popped up again on Twitter, so might be asking about that?
I haven't tried it myself, but I think you just paste the video url (web address) into your tweet, and the twitter software does the rest
There's an imbed media icon on the bar above the posting box on this forum, third from the right (looks like a section of film).
I'll give it a try lower down.
ETA: yeah it seems to work. You just copy the url of the video and paste it in the box that comes up.
Hicky, do they not trust you to drive those three-wheeled trucks yourself?
Yes it seems colder here as well. I started doing my mower outside, but then retreated to the garage. There's no heating in there either, but it was a bit more pleasant.
Glad you enjoyed your jug of gravy Mollie.
In case you missed it here's the video of Sam Bailey at the NTAs last night, singing with Michael Bolton. It was short but very good.
Frodo, Mrs H keeps telling me to rest up, not to stay on my feet too long to rest my knee & hip.
To be honest it's only the weather stopping me really.
Emptybox, To drive any vehicle in the factory you need a special license, a normal one is no good.
It wouldn't be much good to me anyway because i couldn't park at the exit thats why they drop me off usually and then take the truck back to the office,
It uses stacker truck batteries, but we can't charge them so we have to swap them when they are running out.
I will ask daughter to dig out the recipe for the cookies, remind me in a few days if I forget. Yes probably best not to let the cat in the house as the dogs don't know her. at you nicking the pet's Hob Nob and cheesy treats. I think I would be tempted to do the same.
Hicky
Glad to see your OH is looking after you and doing a nice roast meal. Hope those joint pains ease up soon. Thanks for the humidity hints, I will look for a humiidity meter as we don't have one of those. The machine does seem to fill up very quickly with water, a sign of how damp it is here. It is good to work in a place where the bosses are good to you.
Emptybox
thank you for that video, yes I did miss it, as I don't have much time to watch tv, now OH is working away, and I need to do so much for my mum. I manage to never miss CBB though. I will watch it after i have posted. It will be good to see Sam performing again.
I too like Jim and agree Linda is coming over as bitter and miserable. You are keeping us in suspension as to who you will vote to save??? My guess is Louisa. I wish Sam had gone instead of Liz because I don't think she is adding to the house.
Was busy yesterday with paperwork, so woke with headache this morning. Hopefully it will ease as I have busy day. OH home today thank goodness. Son to go to guitar lesson, then OH and i are viewing a house, my friend is coming over so she can give her opinion too.
I'm keeping a watch on the time because I fell asleep and missed CBB night they sort of water It down in the day,but I want to watch the nominations
I awoke to see most of BBOTS and surprise they had people on that liked Jim for a change most of this week Its been a jim bashing fest on there
Coleen Nolan saying she Is getting loads of abuse on twitter and Emma said she had too ,I have to admit I loathe that no need for abusing someone thats why I don't go on so often as I've said how boring If we all liked the same people
Happy for you that your Oh Is home to-day Mollie and I hope the house hunting goes well ,please don't worry about the recipe ..the peanut butter Is disappearing fast and I can google one If needs be ,you have enough to cope with,
Whatever anyone thinks about Jim Davidson he has been a fantastic housemate ..Linda should have said her piece and then gotten over whatever Is bugging her,to me It would be a farce If Sam won Dappy or Jim for me with Louisa in the final ..take care Mollie xx I'm looking forward to to-nights eviction
Emptybox I meant how do you put a video on here ,I know El loro has put instructions in the Tips and tricks manual so I will follow that and yes I have gone back to twitter ,very wary though as some folks can be nasty ,not many know my name on there though
Hello Hicky I hope your joints are easing up x sees you all later x
funnily enough I don't want louisa to go and she won't she Is very spiteful but also a great housemate ,she needs to be in the final with Jim.Dappy only my opinion x
Simply can't understand why Mcafee keep spoiling my enjoyment ??
every 5 mins or so they keep popping up ,when I pay ÂĢ3 pounds a month with Sky for them ...any ideas ?
So I have been in touch with Sky hopefully sorted now had an e=mail to confirm going to have a go at the video thingy soon ..but Friday I like to have a drink maybe Saturday too weekdays too much to do and not really bothered so have a great week end but I'll be back maybe a little typsy who cares ...enjoy all x
perhaps you may have shown how to embed a video but I am thick ...truly
please you are so internet savvy a newbie just can't get It ,so easy for some a nightmare for others much as I think of you Its not easy
The thing with security ,,every two or three minutes I'm getting It with Mc a fee thats driven me to distraction in the end I am paying for It with Sky
Mollie, I have a couple of humidity thingies in the house, i have a wall clock that has humidity & temperature on it, also in the hall i have one of those.
This is a temperature & humidy clock for a few pounds
Quite glad Linda went, although I didn't like the crowd shouting "Off".
Thought she had a good interview on BOTS though.
Yes Hicky. I have Avast and Malwarebytes on all my Windows computers as well.
Hi Frodo. I certainly don't think you are thick. You are very good at posting pictures on here, and a video is just the same, except you click the video icon instead of the picture one.
for heavens sake I fell asleep again ,this awful headache shivering etc
but I caught up to-day watered down version in the day but I got the gist
I'm glad Linda went and I didn't agree with the off off chants .from the editing Linda has somehow managed to be mummy to the house ,she even got to Liz who liked Jim at first ,bitterness must surely be awful and effect your way of life ....just a little softness and she could have been in until the end,
I can cancel Mcafee at any time so If Its wrong I will but every few minutes I
was being bombarded first with a reminder then a red warning and finally with a big scary thing ....YOU ARE NOT PROTECTED
Back to CBB certainly Louisa your fav and Hickys emptybox in the final with Jim and Dappy for me
I am watching The Bridge tonight a fantastic series Its been wonderful sub- titles though so I tape and watch ..but savour It Sunday morning ,so catchup again to-morrow for CBB ...best one so far for me ...loved It .
I hope Mollie Is having a lovely weekend and same to you emptybox and Hicks ....mucha love your mate xxxxxxxxxxx
Not too good a day, rain and cold all day, got a bit of work done though.
Frodo, if you are going to change your Ant-virus program, install the new on first before you delete any other, just so you are covered, but remove the old one as soon as possible when the new one is working.
Here's my lads house he had built in Oz, mind you his car may have changed since the picture was taken.
