Evening again Emptybox.

I think some fat gets through into the drain, the problem is more the hair from the shower that can collect as it's get stuck in the fat, the fairy washing up liquid allows the fat to dissolve but the bubbles collect at certain points which then solidify and as that is happening the hair makes a bridge which closes the pipes.

I found that the position of the underground pipes between the grid and the manhole which is only a couple of feet away, the the way the pipe runs to cover 2 feet is crazy, and it's so sharp the corners you can't get anything round the bends to clean them out.

No, Sam is Joey's Ex, i thought she was hoping to get back with him but he seems to be with Amy now, not sure for how long.

Hard to find good programs tonight as you say.

Hicky

Good Afternoon Everyone.

The suns out, chilly though.

Thank you Frodo, thats lovely, 2 things i love, females and food.

Thank you Emptybox, i seem to have had so many Birthdays.

They have all been happy ones anyway.

Waiting for a delivery of some roofing material, the tracker says they tried to deliver yesterday as well, no card through the letter box though, strange, it's TNT.

Hicky

Evening.

A nice day here, but a bit colder than of late.

Got a couple of tidying up jobs done; cutting back things etc. Another couple of places finished for the season.

Glad your delivery came eventually Hicky, and you got a nice day in the garden,

Hi Frodo. That was nice of somebody, giving you the vase and flowers.

I quite enjoyed my time behind the bar in the hotel, but I'm not sociable enough to play 'Mine Host' as my Dad was able to do. He was also a good raconteur.

I prefer doing what I'm doing now really; even though it doesn't bring in much money.

I intended to put up some decorations today, but as it was a nice day I got some work done instead. I'll try and get me wee tree up tomorrow.

And as it is Hicky's birthday our advent calendar piccie tonight has to be something appropriate for our birthday boy...so as he works round cars and is waiting for his new car, and as he also admires a nice female..... today's calendar has both.

Advent Day 17 for Hicky.

Good to see you back Frodo.

Your vase sounds loveley.

I agree our Emptybox has a lovely sense of humour.

Emptybox....Pleased to hear you are putting up your sweet little Christmas tree tomorrow   and am glad you got the good weather too today.

I have hardly had a minute to myself today, by the time I had  sorted out my mum and done the food shopping and my own jobs, one of my boys has that cold now, so I am "one down" to help out round the house too, and am making all his food/drinks for him, as don't want him sneezing/coughing in kitchen. Hope I don't get it, as I can't afford to give mum a cold.

Managed to watch one tv show only tonight , it was the Call Centre Christmas special. So funny in a bizarre way as it is true, and set not far from us in Swansea.

Goodnight all

Good Morning Everyone.

Thank you Mollie, thats a lovely Advent picture, just what i like.

And of course the Birthday picture.

You are being run off your feet these days, hope you can rest a little over Christmas anyway.

At least Hubby will be home to help.

Hope your Lads cold doesn't linger over Christmas.

Emptybox, Hope you manage to get your decorations & your Wee tree up.

Frodo, your getting fast at putting the trees up, we have so many things that are lit up it takes ages to turn most of them off, mind you a lot are on timers, some go off at 10pm others at midnight.

We have them all coming on at 3.20 so the school children can see them when they come down the road on their way home.

Hope it's quiet at work today, will have to ask when we break up.

Hicky

Hello all

wet and damp here ,an absolute pain in the bum when you have animals ...toweling them down with the mud.. etc they bring In ,washing doggy towels is a nightmare this time of year ,twas almost dark at 2-30 pm here

Is December 20 or 21st the shortest day ? I can't wait for the time the days start drawing out

My tree Is small Hicky I bought It from M&S a long time ago and ready trimmed I just put It in a bin liner when Christmas Is over I make up for that with Christmas Lights .

Hello Mollie I hope your son Is on the mend with his cold...It this weather mild /cold alternating ..

Loved your picture for Hicky specially the Advent one knowing he has a soft spot for the ladies and food

Take care Mollie and have a relaxing time ..really I don't go away ,week ends I like a drink; wine mostly so I prefer not to post ...and If friends come then of course I can't ,but I would never stay away from you three without good reason ,I would like to think one more can squeeze into your close bond ...

I sincerely hope so any hows

Hope you get your tree sorted Emptybox ,sounds good, one already  with the lights why didn't I think of that ?It makes complete sense,my lights look really pretty around the hearth ..I have sort of a wrought iron fire thingy that wraps around It even though I don't have a fire .

Hicky I hope you had a lovely birthday  did you go for a meal? I can't wait for CBB not long now ,just over a fortnight

Hello all.

Not too bad today. A bit drizzly at times. The wind is getting up a bit now though.

Got my decorations and tree up. The tree decorations are getting a bit tatty now.

Mind you, the newest thing is the star on the top, and that's probably 20 years old. Most of the decorations are older than that.

I think we were given the tree by my sister-in-law a number of years ago. We had a slightly larger one before that.

Also I just put the same old tinsel up year after year.

Not much of a one for change, me.

21st is the shortest day Frodo. It'll be great when the days start drawing out.

Mind you there are probably some cold and frosty nights yet to come, unless we are going to be let off very lightly this year? It's been comparatively mild so far this winter.

emptybox

Good Evening Frodo.

December the 21st the shortest daylight.

I've got 4 deliveries of trees tomorrow, hope they all come together, that will give me plenty to do.

I've found a lovely Diamond Lattice Concave Trellis 1.83m x 0.27m, i fancy it along the top edge of each of the 6 sides.

If it's too big i'll just alter it.

This

http://www.edecks.co.uk/produc...amond_lattis_Trellis

It will be turned over flat side up.

I don't watch Four in a bed or come dine with me as i don't think they are fair in what is said, it's too easy to give incorrect judgements.

Hicky

all

Fredo

Good for you enjoying a drink of wine as a weekend treat. We like to go the the pub for tea on weekends and I have a drop of rose then as a treat.

I like your santa and reindeer pic.

Emptybox

I think the family history involved with your Christmas decs is just so charming.   I bet your little cottage looks full of Christmas warmth now. Yes it has been mild so far this winter, It has been very windy and wet this evening though.

Hicky

hope the trees arrive on time so you can work on them. That diamond trellis looks lovely. Good idea to have your lights on timers,  we have to try and remember to unplug all of ours before bed. We bought some light powered ones for the front path, but they hardly come on, as sunny days are so rare this time of year. We had a nice day yesterday, so they came on last night, but are off again tonight.

Frodo

I do like watching 4 in a Bed when I get chance. I like to see what they eat for brekkie mainly.   Yes it is an unfair voting system, but people who don't play fair are daft, because surely viewers who see people act like that would never stay at their  B and B?

Looking forward to Gogglebox tonight. The posh couple are so funny and Sandra with her Pot noodle drink is too.

I am going out with daughter tomorrow night to her archery club's Christmas meal, so I will have to try my best not to embaress her.   I got 6 dresses out of my wardrobe to try on before I decided which one to wear, all in different sizes.   Oh what it is to be a yo-yo dieter.   Decided on the black lace/chiffon with turqoise accossories. The dress cost me ÂĢ9 in Peacocks sale.

Have a good evening all Going to watch Britains Craziest Christmas lights in a minute.

M

Good afternoon all

Hicky

hope your trees arrived ok today.

Emptybox

gardens today?

gone a lot colder here today, just got washing in and it was sleeting. Checked weather.com and it is only 3 degrees this afternoon, but "feels like" minus 1 it said.

We have ordered from the Christmas party menu for a 3 course meal for tonight's party. I am not used to eating that much, so it will be a change, and there is entertainment after, so I am hoping it is good, as I talked daughter into going.

have a good day all xxx

Ah, now we are getting to it.
A couple of posts back you were worried about not embarrassing your daughter, and now we find out it was all your idea in the first place?
Have a lovely time.

No gardens today Mollie. Too cold and wet and windy.

I took the opportunity to wash my car, and noticed ice forming on the roof, so it's much colder here as well.

I forgot about Gogglebox last night, for some reason.

Hi Hicky. Hope your trees arrived OK?

emptybox

Evening Everyone.)

Mollie, I am talking about LED fairy lights although the other types don't cost much more.

Solar ones aren't much good in the winter.

All the trees arrived, the 9 of them, have planted them all.

Like the Advent Picture, good job they have fake snow eh>D

Empybox.

Pity you couldn't get any work done today.

At least your car got washed, even if it was freezing.

It was pretty cold here but not freezing.

I could get all the trees planted., 4 Plum, 1 Gage, 1 apple, 1 pear, 1 Family apple, 3 types, 1 Family pear, 3 types.

I now need a couple more trees, have room for a few more, planted 14.

I now need 3 more packs of roof shingles, 9-off 8 x 4 sheets of hardwood 6mm ply, 6-off of the the Lattice Concave Trellis.

LOL, well spotted, correct indeed. Yes when daughter told me originally about the party, she said she didn't want to go, so she only agreed to go as I said how excited I was about inviting myself to a party, and how I couldn't wait to choose my dress.   Luckily we did enjoy it though, food real good, and plentiful with 3 courses. And the singer who did mainly Frank Sinatra stuff was very good.

Our taxi driver had bad hearing and asthma though. Must admit I found it a bit nerve racking as he was puffing his inhaler within minutes of us getting in his taxi and then again whilst driving up the M4 in very bad weather, and on the way back it was so icy, we passed a car on the M4 that had spun round on the ice and crashed into the barriers. The warnings were flashing at 50mph, but some still travel too fast.

Too cold again for your gardens today, I guess?

What day are you planning on driving to your brother's for Christmas?

It must of been very cold there for the ice to freeze whilst washing your car.

Feel tired today, not used to going out late at night.

OH home now for 2 weeks, which is good.

M

Good Evening Mollie.

Glad you enjoyed your show, a bit worrying when your driver takes inhalers, people just don't slow down in bad weather, they are crazy.

Yes, at least you get some time with hubby home.

Thats a nice advent picture.

I might just get 2 more tree's thinking about some nuts.

The trees could take a few years to be productive but as Cordons they may fruit earlier.

Boss hinted about a bonus for Monday, that will be nice.

Hicky

Hello all

5 days to Christmas and a fortnight to CBB ..Its been really cold here and I mean that brrrr ...the female dog (I call her that to you must have been at the height of her attraction ...to him the male dog who by the way has had the snip bliddy nightmare ..I won't go into detail but he Is flummoxed )and I'll leave It at that

Loving all your family things and parties Mollie I can't comment on them all

but I do read and take It all in

My trimmings tree and lights are things I put away every year (correction I do buy new lights ...a lot of my treasures have been kept for yonks ...

I bought some AVon stuff the other day ordered a candle and diffuser but they were out of stock ...I love good scents ,perfumes but for ÂĢ11 I got a face make-up, concealer ,powder,perfume...makeup bag and body spray ..Ok some will think pffft and I agree but they were worth every penny ,I have bought Yankee Candles and expensive perfume for presents  so if I enjoy the others who cares ,

Crikey Mollie ..I think I would have bailed out of that Taxi ...and this Is true I got into a taxi and someone had a wee on the seat and left a purse ..I handed It in but was covered in wee yuk .

Hello emptybox AND Hicky  a short post to-night sees you to-morrow xx

FM

Good Evening Frodo.

Yes, not long to either Chrimbo of CBB, can't wait.

I don't understand about dogs, too much trouble to my mind, don't mind children, at least after a few years they can talk.

You should put away each year all that is worth keeping, some times you need to buy some new stuff to alter the colouring.

Avon is good stuff, my O/H can't use it as most stuff she is allergic to.

If we buy candles we don't light them, can't stand smoke.

Hicky

Evening.

Not a nice day here; fairly wild.

Glad your trees came Hicky. Do you qualify as a forest yet?
Good luck for your Christmas bonus. I haven't decided whether I deserve one yet.

Hi Mollie, pleased you enjoyed your evening out with daughter, despite a rather hairy taxi ride.

Should be going across to my bro's on Tuesday, depending on the weather.
Don't think it'll be too frosty, but might be too stormy.
Thanks for the reindeer advent.

Hi Frodo. You enjoy your Avon stuff if you like.

I'm with Hicky though, I've never understood the appeal of candles, except for in a power cut.

Bit of a mish-mash of telly tonight. Bit of Text Santa, bit of Citizen Khan, bit of Big Fat Gypsys and now I'm watching a recording of Time Team.

Evening Emptybox.

Talking about Forests.

Have ordered 2 more Gages to go with the other one, making a set of 3.

'Denniston's superb', 'Cambridge' & 'Oulins Golden'

These are replacing the Blackberry plants i got fed up with.

Hope the weather is ok for you to travel to your Brothers place, be nice to have company over Chrimbo.

Had a nice Spag Bol last night, it was a Sainsbury's 'Taste the Difference' fantastic.

I have got all the stuff in to make my own really.

Then i had some Peppered Squid, yummy, had Tomato soup to start.

Usually have a couple of tins of fish, Mackerel fillets in sauce of Sild in oil, love all those.

Hicky

Hello all

very cold here again..I taped an old film on Sony Channel last night

'Jumpin Jack Flash' Whoopi Goldberg was in It, halfway through the Channel went off (all the others were fine)  but thankfully It came back on  and not much was missing

The Strictly Come Dancing final to look forward too tonight ,wonder who will win ?..I am not going to try and forecast that one .

Yes you are right about the trimmings Hicky perhaps I do need to treat myself to some new ones and yes I rarely light my candles and I have a few, bought a new white one very pretty ,but you need to be there all the time to check them

I hope your boss gives you a nice fat bonus Hicky you deserve It ,you seem to have a lot of trees ordered are they the small variety ,I really don't know much about fruit trees, will you keep the fig ones?

LOL Emptybox about awarding yourself a bonus ,which I'm sure you deserve

What day will you travel to your brothers .lets hope this year It doesn't snow

I can't remember If we had snow last year around this time .

Yes I am going to enjoy my Avon twas a sale so I got some really good things and I love their body moisturisers and some of their scents

I watched Gogglebox this week ,have you noticed the mice running up and down the path of the older couples house when they show the outside ?

they seem to come out of the garage

Hello Mollie I mean't to comment on the dress you mentioned the black one ,It sounds lovely and the three course meal ,yummy what did you have for pud ? and tell me about the yo- yo dieting been there in fact I still am ,

Thanks for the advent pictures the reindeer one and the snow scene ,I'll bet Hicky and emptybox loved that one ,in fact I've loved them all a real treat for Christmas

I got the dreaded brown envelope to-day    mmm seems I have overpaid tax

and I have the grand sum of ÂĢ17 pounds to spend .

I may have a tipple to-night so I prefer not to post ...Daily Mail magazine word search has gone kaput for me to-day  Its so simple but I have gone wrong

b*gger   anyone know the answer ?   see ya xxxxxxxxxx

Good Evening Frodo.

The trees are very young so i can train them however i want really, most are Cordon which you grow as a compact & narrow tree.

With most trees i have room for them to spread onto trellis or wires so they won't be so restricted.

I am keeping the fig trees, not sure if it's a good idea to keep them for the fruit but their leaves are so lovely all year.

It's nice to get a little rebate from the taxman, it's better than nothing.

I don't get the DM so can't help on the word search.

I was out early to get my tv mag, then went to Wickes to see the hardwood Plywood, then went to B&Q and got a bacon & egg on toast from the van

My lad & his gang came this afternoon for a bit, the little ones love building things on the decking from cut off pieces of wood

Hope Mollie & Emptybox have a good weekend.

Good Luck to them all in the Final of Strictly.

The four finalists

Evening.

Horrible weather here. Blowing a gale and torrential rain.

Needless to say, I didn't get anything done outside.

Hi Hicky. Well you've certainly got an impressive array of fruit trees now.

Glad you got the weather for the youngsters to play outside.

Hi Frodo. Yes any rebate from the tax people is welcome.

I caught up with Gogglebox in the end, but didn't notice any mice.

I watched the Strictly results. Haven't watched the show all series, but as X-Factor has finished I thought I'd give it a go. I wanted Susannah to win.

I downloaded Sam Bailey's single for 99p. Hope she get's the Christmas No. 1.

Hi Mollie. Glad you enjoyed your concert.

It must really feel like Christmas now your OH is home?

Hi all

I taped Strictly Come Dancing last night ,Bruce wears me out (sorry but his jokes are so tiring to me anyhow) so I could just skim over them

I took the opportunity to make some bread ,my son had a go last week but he must have used too much olive oil and drowned It  he can cook better than I can but It wasn't pleasant to eat ,just a small amount of fat I use butter ..Paul Hollywood gave me that tip (well to everyone not just me)

I had to laugh this morning the Cat was waiting for me but I had tons of rubbish to take out ,so It scarpered ...I then left Its food in a corner so It can eat in peace with a box and one of my cast of jumpers ,It hasn't used It ,but It came back for seconds yesterday ..and I have made It clear that feeding It Is non negotiable to my son ..who seems to think he owns the place i love him but........

This morning this scrap chased a large cat off

What will you have for Christmas lunch Mollie ? and Is It a pain catering for different tastes ,you know I'm not a big meat eater but a true Veggie no and Questions does It bother you preparing the turkey ? we had some steak in the fridge and although I was not for me the blood made me feel yucky .

Beef quorn has been an eye opener for me I love It not everyones choice but

not every one agrees

errm must go having a barney with an ungrateful son who expects washing ironing ..to come out of the blue

bye for now xx
