Good evening all

Emptybox

Glad to hear you got some decent weather, so your vehicles look nice now. Yes I too can't wait to see X factor. I heard on radio 1 that the vote money is going to the Philapines appeal, so I will be doing a bit of voting this week. Haven't decided who yet though.

Hope you enjoy your sphag bol? Accompanied by a beer I pressume?

Hicky

Wow, you have made enough raspberry jam to open a farm shop now.   Your neighbour has done well out of it again, I see. I bet he is so pleased to see you knock at his door.

My mum is not too bad thanks. Memory not good though, so she needs a lot of support from us. I am taking her to her hospital appointment on Tuesday to get her eye drops checked.

Now if either of you boys fancy a Christmas jumper, I have noticed this year that all the supermarkets have them in stock...eg seen them in Sainsburys, and Asda, so you don't need to feel left out.

Nearly time for X factor and this is my treat I will be eating whilst watching it.

http://kevssnackreviews.blogsp...easer-chocolate.html

Seasonal and yummy too...

Have a good evening all

enjoy the show boys. xx

and to Fredo, hope she is having a good Saturday

M

Hi Mollie.

I'm not certain you picked up on my lack of enthusiasm for a Christmas jumper?

I noticed the advert for IAC, in the middle of X-Factor, showed you some of the names of those going in, so I hope you covered your eyes in time?

Hi Hicky. Perhaps you could have left your rasps till you'd eaten all of them? There was no hurry to cut them down.

Must admit I write my passwords down in a notebook. I don't try to remember them all.

X-Factor OK, but I didn't think there were any stunning performances tonight.

IAC tomorrow.

emptybox

Evening Everyone.

Not a bad day really, hardly any wind, no rain.

Got quite a bit done in the garden.

With it being my 40th Anniversary took O/H my jam on toast and tea in bed.

We went out for a meal tonight.

Gave 4 of the Raspberry plants to next door, have put leaves over all the tubs now, get so many in the front blown in, they were about 1ft deep.

Gave a neighbour another jar of jam, their little lad loves it when he's going to school.

taking some in to work, 1 for the female engineer, she has a few little ones and 1 for the canteen girls.

Mollie, I'm not bothered with X Factor, the voting public will ruin it.

Watched the Dancing, that was ok.

A bit worrying about your mum, when she starts forgetting thinks life just gets harder.

Emptybox, I could have left the Raspberry plants longer but the frost will spoil the fruit, need to get done what i can while the weather is ok.

I see there are 10 in the jungle so far but usually some more follow, maybe only 2 more.

Amy, Alfonso, Laila, David, Joey, Kian, Lucy, Mathew, Rebecca & steve.

Hicky

Good afternoon all

Emptybox

yes I did guess you didn't sound keen on the Christmas jumper, but with a little persuasian, you never know, you might change your mind.

Hicky

looks like your timing getting the last of the raspberries collected was spot on, because of the cold weather forecast for later this week.  Hope you are not too busy at work today.

Congratulations on reaching your 40th anniversary.

Hope you both had an enjoyable day yesterday.

I enjoyed X factor, but did not think it as good as last week, as you say Emptybox, no stunning performances this week.

Really enjoyed IAC, Ant and Dec as funny as ever. Looks like Joey Essex is going to be amusing and the girls seem nice, the pretty model does not seem to be a typical bimbo type beauty either. I guess the swimmer will excel in physical trials? Looks like we can expect some drama moments from Matthew too.   Good to have it back again.

Have a good day all xxx

M

Evening.

Not bad day here. Got a big tidying up job done.

IAC good. Looks like Joey Essex and Matthew Wright are going to be chosen for all the trials?

Can't believe that Joey didn't know how to tell the time? Has he never seen a clock?

Wonder why Rebecca was excused from the trial?

Yes Mollie, Amy doesn't seem like the typical model type.

emptybox

(Please excuse this post, typed it last night but it's still here)

Evening Everyone.

A bit cooler here, work as usual though.

Thanks for the Anniversary picture Mollie.

Enjoying them on IAC, they seem a good lot, like the girls.

2 Plants arrived today, though it might have been some tree's but the pack was 2 small, it said live plants, it was 2 raspberry plants to make up for one that didn't grow this year.

I've given 4 away but i will keep these 2 and plant them in a pot, i've got plenty of pots.

Some more bolts arrived in the post, also the sets of Eyelets and punches arrived.

------------------

Tuesday.

Evening Everyone.

Not too bad a day, cold though, cut more wood for side rails on the gazebo.

Planted the 2 new strawberry plants.

Enjoyed IAC last night, non on tonight because of football.

It looks like BBC2 tonight for me.

Hicky

Evening Emptybox.

Joey & Matthew did well, don't think it's fair Matthew got no food after all that.

Strange Joey not knowing the time related to the hands and numbers.

He always has a digital watch.

I suppose they don't teach you at school as they assume you already know.

Not sure why Rebecca was excused the trial, got to be medical grounds though.

I like any Model type, only look at them, don't have to marry them.

Hicky

all

Emptybox

glad you got a decent day yesterday, so got some jobs done...hopefully you did today too, it was cold, but lovely and sunny here today.

Hicky

good job you didn't lose yesterday's post.Glad you too got the nice weather, so could get some more done on your gazebo, and plants down.

Yes I too like the people on IAC. That model is sooo pretty, even with no make up, and she seems a nice girl too.

And yes, Matthew and Joey did brilliant, I enjoyed watching them together, but as you say poor Matthew to do all that and then win nothing. He must of been so

Strange Rebecca not doing a task, especially as she is an athlete. Maybe pregnant?

I am exhausted tonight, dashed round this morning doing my jobs and finishing paperwork to post, so I could go to hospital with mum for her check up, then do her jobs after. The doc in hospital forgot to date the prescription, so when I went to chemist for her prescription, they couldn't do it for me. They had to order a new one from docs. Daughter and I took a night off cooking as I was starving and tired after all this, and needed to go food shopping for us. So we went to Greasy Joes for late lunch... daughter had turkey dinner and I have a big plate of veg. So yummy... they do it like your nan used to...big boiled potatoes, soft sliced carrots, mashed butter cabbage, peas, roast spuds,  and a big metal jug of gravy. All for a fiver each, so not bad.
We bought the boys home some bagettes from Gregs.... as daughter says the boys don't care what they have for tea, as long as they don't have to make it.

Shame there is no IAC tonight, think I will watch that bbc1 "Last Tango in Halifax."

Nice and sunny here today, but very cold. The hills were all covered in snow, it did melt a bit, but you could still see it this afternoon.

It is early for snow this far south this year.

have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening.

Lovely sunny day here as well but very frosty. The grass stayed white all day, so not really suitable for gardening.

Pity about the mix up with your Mum's prescription Mollie. Glad you enjoyed your meal with your daughter.

Hi Hicky, glad your replacement rasp plants arrived and you could get a bit done on your gazebo.

I'm watching that Last Tango in Halifax as well.

emptybox

both xx

Emptybox

glad you got the sun too yesterday, bet it looked dead pretty there covered in frost all day.

Complete contrast here today to yesterday. Heavy showers on and off all day, and windy too.

Wonder if Hicky managed to get into his garden today?

Glad to see IAC is back on again tonight. Didn't like having a break when it had only been on 3 times.

Have a good evening all xxx

M

Evening Everyone.

Another wet day today, at work though.

Some more coach screws came today, washers & spring washers have been posted.

Ironmonger rang, will pick up brackets Friday.

My 22kg of concentrated manure arrived, need that for when the new tree's arrive.

Just had baked spuds with fresh salmon and prawns.

Mollie, Greasy Joe's sounds good, nice price as well.

Surprised you have snow by you this early in Autumn.

Emptybox, i see you have frost on the ground.

It's going to make it hard for you to get any work done now really.

Hicky

Evening guys.

Not nice here today either. Very windy, and some rain as well.

Glad your brackets are ready Hicky. Can't say I'm quite so excited about your manure arriving though.

Quite pleased with myself today. I wear a cheap digital Casio watch for work, and the LCD screen wasn't working properly. I tried a new battery, but it didn't make a difference. The previous watch (similar model) I'd stopped using three years ago because the buttons had jammed so I couldn't adjust it, and the strap had broken, but I noticed that it was still running.

So I took the movement(?) out of the old one and fitted it into the newer one, and it all works.

Course I could have bought another on ebay for about ÂĢ8, but it gave me satisfaction to fix it. Especially as it involved unscrewing tiny screws using a magnifying glass and tiny screwdriver.
Just a little thing........

IAC on again tonight, but it clashes with Gogglebox. Of course I can always watch that on +1.

Evening Emptybox.

Windy here as well.

Have stored the manure in the kitchen for now.

Joey uses a digital watch, he had to.

At least you have made one from the 2.

IAC was OK tonight, Joey is funny, think the only brain he has is what he ate in the trial.

When he was reading the code out in the task to Amy he gave her the wrong code and she lost it.

Am watching ITV2 now.

Hicky

Good afternoon all

Hicky

hope you are pleased with your brackets when you get them tomorrow.

at you storing manure in the kitchen.

I agree, Joe is so funny on IAC. And I like to see how competitive these 2 are in the challenges. They are doing so well though.

Emptybox

wow, I am impressed with you the watchmaker.    It must of been so small and fiddly sorting that out. The sense of achievement doing such a job sure beats the easy option of forking out ÂĢ8 on ebay for one.

Shame IAC was same time as Gogglebox, I had to watch on plus one becaouse or sky box won't record. Damn thing is less than a year old, so I have asked for engineer's visit before warranty runs out. Thinking of ditching sky, so expensive for rubbish equipment.

Lovely day here today, hopefully it is for you two as well.

I am going to be away for a couple of days, 2 of my youngest kids are going to a cartoon/gaming exhibition in Birmingham, so I am meeting my aunt and going round the Christmas markets whilst they go there. OH is meeting us at hotel, he is driving straight there from Devon tomorrow.

Lots to do now, have to go sort my mum, so she is ok for couple of days.

Plenty of washing drying nicely in the sun though.

have a good day all xxx

M

Evening Mollie.

Raining all day, so no work for me today.

Hope you enjoy your trip back to Birmingham, and the Christmas markets.

Pity about your Sky box playing up.

I like all kinds of nuts. But I tend to eat salted peanuts, which probably undoes any good they do me?

Lots of Doctor Who stuff coming up over the next few days.

emptybox

Evening everyone.

Not bad today, cool but dry.

Got some work done in the garden, changed some of the watering system ready for the spring, thats with altering the tub positions.

Put some bolts into the roof trusses, added strength, M6 x 80mm plated coach bolts, will add washers when they come, want them under the nut.

Emptybox, only stored the sack of manure till i could take it into the garage.

Mollie, Enjoy your trip, i bet you find some nice stuff to take back.

I enjoy nuts, but like Emptybox says, the salted ones are best, but certainly won't be good for you, salt sure isn't in quantity.

Looking forward to IAC tonight.

I asked the weather people how on my local forecast they say Sunny for the Evening when it's dark at 5pm

They answered saying the the Evening Forecast is from 4pm till 6pm.

Strange or what?

Hicky

both

Emptybox

hope you enjoyed the bit of a break on your rainy day off. The article does say that although peanuts are not nuts, they too are good for you.

Have you tried Marmite cashews? they are really yummy.

Hicky

good job you got some dry weather for your day off. Sounds like you got a lot done in the garden. That is the trouble, nuts really do taste better with added salt, which I know we should not have too much off.

Yes your weather forecast story is indeed very strange. The sun is non existent after around 4.30pm this time of year.

Nearly time for IAC, looking forward to it.

managed to get all my jobs done, so am done in and looking forward to an hour of tv now.

have a good evening all.

see you in a couple of days, will probably not be back until late Saturday.

M

Steve Davis and one or two others ,didn't exactly ring my bell how wrong can you be (me I mean)  loving It specially Steve & Joey ...well I like them all

Personally I  thought things were a little hard on Amy because she was deemed pretty , and I think that's why she has the task to-night only my opinion of course anyhow what Is wrong with Rebeccas looks ? what a boring world If we were all the same

One mans Ideal woman Is another's nightmare or so they say

Evening.

Lovely sunny day but very frosty again. The frost stayed on my car roof all day, so doubt it got much above freezing.

Hi Frodo. I agree about Amy and Rebecca. Why should Amy apologize for being pretty. And why should Rebecca feel insecure? She's got stunning blue eyes.

Didn't realize Annabel Giles had been married to Midge Ure.

Hi Hicky. Glad you got your brackets finally.

emptybox

Evening Frodo & Emptybox.

It was always going to happen between Amy and the girls, they always feel inadequate because of their looks.

Amy needs to go easy and say very little.

Who is Amanda, thought it was Annabel.

I like Vincent but he's no tough guy.

Emptybox, it wasn't that cold here, stayed around 5C most of the day, was Sunny though.

Going to have a go at building the Gazebo framework, it's all made and has the brackets fitted, problem is it means i'll have to take the metal frame one down before i can put it all up.

Hicky

Hello all

cold to-day brrrr got the heating on for a while ...corrected my mistake Hicky about Annabel .

Amy did well last night in the trial and good for her seven stars ,the girl did good I think Lucy started the whole thing off about the beauty stuff about how she feels strongly about posing etc ,when here she Is doing the same

Chilling out: The actress will have been relaxing before she is put through tough challenges on I'm a Celebrity

this Is one of the more sedate ones so pot calling kettle black springs to mind

hello emptybox ...spag bol to-day ,and a beer to follow ?  dry cider at the discount shop 50p a bottle half pint and It's a nice tasting one ,It doesn't fetch the skin off the insides of your mouth like some do

I hope Mollie Is having a good time In Birmingham with her family

Not get much done In the garden this weather Hicky apart from your Gazebo

not long now before Christmas ,Its wishing time to go faster but I can't wait for the nights to draw out we seem to be in perpetual darkness and Its cold enough for this to become a reality

loving Strictly Come Dancing even with Brucies terrible jokes

see you later

Evening Frodo.

It started off pretty frosty today, the week sun stayed out all day though.

Amy is a great sport, she did well, she wasn't flustered.

That Cider sounds good at that price.

I managed to get a lot done in the garden, i was fixing the side sections of the Gazebo, having all the brackets now i can assemble the sections, i'm building the side sections each in 3 parts outside the original Gazebo, when they are complete i will take the old Gazebo down and place the 2 sections in position and start assembling the roof sections.

Just had a nice Ribeye steak with onions and mushrooms with some chips from the chippy.

Hope Mollie is ok and enjoying her Birmingham trip.

Hicky

Evening guys.

Spent most of the day across at my Brother's for my oldest nephew's 18th Birthday. We had a family party this afternoon, and he's having a party with his friends tonight.

I didn't stay though, so I was back in time for my spag bol.

Glad you got going on your gazebo Hicky.

Enjoy your cider Frodo.

Back again

I go in spurts  all Is calm in the Frodo household at the mo ,apart from one of the dogs having tummy troubles.

I have been on my own to-day so a chip sandwich on a breadcake was the dish of the day HP sauce too ...yummy I love to have different things when I'm on my own .

Just watched the result of Strictly ..I have enjoyed this series ,Im half watching the Paradise ,to me It started well but the acting sometimes sheesh ,still Its worth a look In .

I hope you are all well and your Gazebo Is taking shape Hicky .Have you wrapped your trees for the winter ?I have a massive bay tree In a pot I'm wondering If It needs a little help this winter as It really needs a bigger tub .

Hi emptybox cider Is not for me although I do drink It sometimes very dry but when Its icy cold Its good ,I prefer wine or dry Martini or Vodka and coke week-ends I like to indulge  will you go to your brothers this Christmas ? or stay at home .

I have family and loads of friends but sometimes I like my own company (does that sound odd ?)  I like being on my own sometimes although I don't get much chance at times perhaps I am anti social.

Sent for a large rug a sort of caramel colour It says you can wash It but Its very large and not one that costs the earth ...can't be posh with animals

Hope you are OK Mollie  thinking about you ,any news of moving ? I hope you are enjoying your week-end with the family and your mum Is well x

We have longer for I'm A Celeb to-night  and I'm loving this series ,lets hope they allow more time with the trials with all the extra people to feed ...and that Amy does not get voted off first because of her looks...been in the papers of how they are fearful for Rebecca ''because of her looks '' totally out of order in my opinion ,cos what Is wrong with her ,fantastic hair ,skin a toned body ..through swimming a pretty face in her own right and medals for us and her country that she and we are proud of...and a lovely partner ,say no more ...enjoy girl,I hope Joey does well ,love him

sees you x

Evening Everyone.

Emptybox, hope you enjoyed your party at your brothers, it makes a change for you, good company.

I managed to get the side sections up and bolted together today, after taking the old one down of course.

The 6 sections with 18 brackets too exactly 100 coach screws, had the M6 x 50mm Hex, none over either.

Frodo, that Cider looks good, i got a few bottles of the fruit Cider, very nice too, but i seldom have a drink really.

Enjoyed SCD, surprised Ben went though, he was a better dancer.

It should be funny watching Joey tonight.

Hicky

Evening.

Bit murky here today, but no frost.

I'll probably go and spend Christmas at my Brother's, depending on the weather. They were going to go skiing in France for Christmas, but decided it would be too expensive, so I think they'll be at home as per usual.

I'm definitely anti-social Frodo. No question of that. Spend most of my time by myself, and that's the way I like it. I grudgingly talk to a few customers, but that's about it, apart from when I see family every few weeks.

You're doing well with the gazebo Hicky.

IAC OK, but I feel I'm losing interest a bit.

emptybox

Good Morning Emptybox.

That will be nice, Christmas at your brothers will save you a lot of messing.

I'm going to put the extra eyelets into the clear plastic sidewall sheets next then i will be able to stop the wind blowing through the Gazebo walls.

Fitting the roof beams will be tricky as they all need to line up, might need some adjustment.

I thought IAC was ok, X factor gone off for me now.

The public voting is a joke.

Not too busy at work, had a nice brekkie though, don't have to wait in the queue as it's all ready and wrapped for me.

2 Rashers of Bacon, 2 big pork Sausages, 1 Egg, 1 Black Pudding, Beans & 2 toast, yummy.

That last me till i get home.

Hicky

all

quick post from me as really busy after our few days away, and then Sunday's are help OH pack his bags again. But had a nice time away. Nice to see aunt, and Christmas markets very pretty. Lots of wooden decorated huts. Aunt bought me a mulled wine in a pretty souvenir mug, and me and daughter had stawberries in melted choc.

Fredo

good to see you back again.

A chip sandwich and cider sounds great to me.

Hope your dog is feeling better. Mine often gets upset tums, so horrible for them.

Hicky

now that is a sound brekkie to keep you going at work all day.

I reckon you are doing well with that roof, it must be such a difficult job to tackle yourself.

Emptybox

that was a nice change for you to go the party. Good job you made it home for the Saturday sphag bol though.   Let's hope the weather is ok at Christmas for you to get to your brothers.

I too am rather anti-social, ....well selective with friends, I reckon.   Usually only do stuff with my family, but do see friends now and again for coffee.

Not happy with Hannah leaving X factor, think she sings far better than Rough copy.

I am finding Ant and Dec more entertaining that most of the campers this year.

time to get washing in, then take son to college, get dinner, see to mum and hopefully all tidied up in time for IAC.

have a good day all xxx

M

Hello all

blinking freezing this morning ,my hand automatically goes to the heating switch ..sodding outrageous the way the bills have sky rocketed ...just in time for the cold snap .

Hello Mollie  good to have you back and glad you had a good time  any news on the house hunting ? Oven chips were on the sandwich I have had'' so many deep fat fryers  I have thrown away  easy clean they say I threw the last one a while ago.

These oven chips I have are good best in a bad bunch, some are yucky and makes me think I am on to the real thing cos I love chips the cider Is not for me although I do indulge sometimes ,I prefer the grown up drinks when I indulge Martini etc

Yes one of the dogs had an upset tummy I was asleep and the crying woke me up she Is such a gentle little thing It upset me ,she seems Ok at the moment though ...he the male dog can be testy but then again after four homes and being knocked about probably Is the answer...spoiled rotten here .

Hicky the breakfast sounds yummy cross out the black pudding (we have some in our fridge )my son loves It ....yuk .

The Gazebo sounds complicated to a novice Hicky but knowing you It will be fantastic

Yes I like people emptybox but I suppose I am anti social too sounds contradictory  cos I love the company on here ...take care all xx

FM

Twice Rebecca has been ruled out of a task ...to be honest I was on the jungle forum last night ,and most folks are fed UP WITH Joey doing the trial

and on reflection understandable ...although I love him ...perhaps they need to look at this in future ....do you think?

Cannot understand why fit young people are ruled out of the tasks unfair and not cricket ,no task no jungle no matter how entertaining they are ..only my opinion ..don't watch X factor so can't comment ..but yes strictly was a shock

take care all    xxx
