Daughter is hoping to get a look in on this batch as well Big Grin

I might make a chocolate victoria sandwich as well and hopefully that will last a little longer as it requires getting out a knife to slice it Laugh

Are you working today?

Hi Suzie.Wave
If you need some chocolate to put over your cakes, get the Sainsbury's 400gm Belgium chocolate, and melt the usual way over the steam from a pan of hot water, it becomes so lovely and creamy unlike when you melt Cadbury's that is awful to work with and it half sets in the dish you are melting it in.

I'm working today as we have guests here.

Accounts Sick I hope you don't have too much of that to do Big Grin

I always use chocolate with a high level of cocoa in it Big Grin especially when I do double choc chip cakes, Will try Sainsbury one next time and let you know how it goes down Laugh

Oooooo could this be a new contract for your company ?

Hi Suzie.Smiler
The Chocolate I had in mind is very high in it's Cocoa content, but it is usually higher in the dark chocolate but it's too strong for a lot of people.

I know what you mean about the dark chocolate, they won't touch it at my place either, I quite like it, and it stops you eating too much.

Was wondering if anyone else was watching last night the Channel 4 program at 11.05pm called The Operation: Surgery Live, it's the final program tonight unfortunately but it is incredible to watch.
The surgeon was doing keyhole surgery with the camera's and lighting and all the tools, what a view, the surgeon can see better this way than with an open surgery operation.

Unlike the MP's these surgeons sure earn their money, ever since my life saving Op I certainly do appreciate the marvelous things that they do on a regular basis.
I've still got a faint scar from my 13" opening.Big Grin

I've obviousy heard alot about it because of where I work but I'm too squeamish (sp?) to watch those kinds of programmes
The surgeons certainly do earn their money and what a reward to see those people benefit from their experience and knowledge Nod

Well you don't see any blood because they cut everything using the heat knife so nothing bleeds but it's nice to see what they have to do during these operations.

It's not just the blood that makes me feel squeamish Laugh

I know all about the "heat knife" as you call it as I'm the service technician that works on them, well one of the brands that are used Big Grin
I have to make sure they cut and seal in a certain parameters before they are sent out to the hospitals that require them Big Grin

Oh yeh, was forgetting, I suppose you have to do quite a few tests to confirm that the tools match the expected spec, was thinking of the temperature for cutting, closing pressure, cutting effectivness opening & closing speeds to name just a possible few.

Do they have to be tested ever so many operations or by a date limit, say every 3 months or so.

And how are they kept clean and steralised?

Yes they do have to be serviced within a certain amount of cuts, those cuts are registered and stored in an eeprom. when the limit has been reached the generator will lets the surgical team know and they are then returned to us for servicing. This is done after they have been autoclaved, It works a little like a dishwasher but obviously has to be taken to a temperature that kills all known virus's and bacteria.
If you want more info http://www.sradevelopments.co.uk/ this is where I work and the product is called Lotus Big Grin
