I put it on for my visitors, because my S-i-L always complains if it's cold, but it keeps blowing fuses in the wall plug. It originally had a 3 amp fuse, but if I put a 3 amp fuse in now it might go for an hour bΓ©fore it blows. It's gone through about 5 fuses. I've got it working with a 13 amp fuse, but there must be some electrical problem with it unfortunately.
I phoned the landlady and left a message, but she hasn't got back to me yet. Hopefully it'll be serviced before the big freeze.
Evening Emptybox.
Got a tweet kiss off Tashie this morning.
Following her, Maisy, Rebeckah on Twitter.
Had a tweet off Alex who going with Chantelle as well.
Think your central heating fuse should be about 3 amp, but if it lasts for an hour maybe it needs a 5amp.
Don't go over that though.
It could have a fault somewhere.
I wouldn't put a 13amp in as certain components could go ion fire well before the fuse would blow.
It often takes many times the rating for the fuse to blow under a slow increase in current.
Hope Mollie is OK
Good Evening Mollie & Emptybox.
Just watched Chantelle again on CDWM.
On all week but at 5.30, will record the rest as i'm working tomorrow.
Went to Docs, nurse checked a few things, seems ok, but ears got wax, so have to sort them out, got Olive Oil Eardrops.
She has made a prescription for an additional inhaler, it's the type that has all the powder capsules within, take it twice a day when i get it.
Who will go this week
Anton, Aden, Faye, Jay & Aaron up.
MIL has broke a bone in her leg, have sent a bed round as she can't get upstairs, hope it heals as shes about 82 so might not.
Am starting to protect certain tree's from the rain and frost, some don't like either over the winter.
Heard that the early deep frost might be here the same as last year.
Not much on TV tonight will probably watch recordings.
Thinking of a new set of tires for the winter, looking into some off road ones, like big treads, not sure if i can have them.
Trying to save up to see what i can get.
Most of the tire prices i see are about Β£104 each.
But might be able to get some used ones cheap.
Not bad day here. Got some jobs done and took the dog for a walk.
SHOULD I TYPE IN CAPITALS SO YOU CAN HEAR ME WITH YOUR WAXY EARS?
Hope your new inhaler is of some use to you.
Those winter tyres sound expensive. Are the normal ones not chunky enough for the snow?
I used to have winter tyres/wheels when I had the mercedes, but it was a hell of a faff changing them twice a year.
Still haven't heard back from the landlady. I suppose I'll have to ring again?
I'll see what fuses I've got, and I'll maybe tryna 5 amp one and see if that blows. But theres almost certainly something wrong with the system. My Brother suggested it might be a sticky valve in the pump or something?
I hope it's Anton or Aden who goes on Friday. I certainly don't want to lose Faye.
Morning Mollie & Emptybox.
Got to put these ear drops in twice a day for 1 week.
Don't get the extra inhaler till Friday at the earliest.
I might have to settle for 50/50 tyres as the off road ones aren't as good in the wet, but i'll talk to the tyre man.
Would like a wider tyre really, these are only 195/80 R15 4x4 and i might be able to fit 215 or 225 on, not sure.
If there is a problem with the central heating control it could be anything really, not worth trying to guess as it will have a motherboard with all sorts on it, anything could cause a fuse to blow.
I prefer Anton to go, as i don't like his game, but now Gemma is in his time is up anyway as she has watched the show.
Ordered a new blade for the Flymo online, took the old one off and have filed it to get the thing better but it pretty soft metal and the stones it finds in the grass put dents in the cutting edge.
The birds throw the stones onto the grass looking for food.
Might take it to the tool shop for sharpening and then keep as a spare.
Hope Mollie is OK.
Raining all day here, so no work done.
I got my heating fixed...sort of.
The plumber came first thing (he was the one that installed it). The landlady called him even though she never called me back to find out what exactly the problem was.
He replaced a motor in the hot water system, and also discovered there was some sort of fault in the cable going to the thermostat on the hot water tank.
He decided it would be too big a job to replace the cable, as he would have to take up carpets and floorboards, so he bypassed the thermostat on the tank, and the hot water is now just controlled by the thermostat on the boiler. We'll see how that goes. He thinks that'll stop it blowing fuses as well. He put a 3 amp fuse back in.
This afternoon I went to see the new Sainsburys for the first time. It's pretty big, and the prices are no more expensive than the Co-op, so I think it's going to be good.
Hope you get the tyres you want. Just depends what will fit on the rims, i guess?
Yes, stones are the bane of my life, when I'm mowing. Some blades are softer than others I find.
If the blade is soft it's more likely to get bent, if you hit an obstacle, but the motor is less likely to get damaged. If the blade is harder, it's less likely to get damaged, but a bignstone could damage the shaft, and even the motor.
Evening Mollie & Emptybox.
Glad your heatings back on again, you may be needing it soon.
Think you will like the new Sainsburys, it's always nice to have more options.
I'll check on what tyre's i can get, will have to save up to get enough.
Would like a wider tyre if that would go on the same rim, think I can fit quite a range of wheels but would have to buy them as well as tyre's.
Fitted the new blade on the mower, haven't used it yet.
The stones are only small, from the moodstone, the birds throw them onto the grass lloking for food, it will be the blackbirds.
Went to IKEA this afternoon, O/H wanted some wall cabinets for my lads birthday.
Called in at Frankie & Benny's restaurant on the way back, it's on edge lane in Liverpool, had some lovely food.
Hope Mollie is OK.
Hi Both x
sorry haven't been around for a few days, been extra busy sorting not only our stuff after the move... why can't these utilities get anything right? And why has that pain of an agent still not paid back our deposit, despite the fact he promised it back last Friday the latest...
And my mums move fell through, I refused to sign rubbish contract, so she is now going in a B and B for the winter, should suit her though, plenty of company and on sea front. Lots to still organse for her.
HIcky
hope you get on ok with your new inhaler when you get it. They are opening a new Franky and Bennies round here, will have to try it. What did you eat there? Gosh those tyres are expensive.Did your OH find the cabinets ok? Ikea is huge, isn't it? I like their resteraunt too.
Emptybox
what a nuisancce about the heating, but as you say, best to sort it now before it gets colder. Have you got a supply of oil in too? I like Sainsburys, so that is good you have one now too. I often get them to deliver, it is free for a spend over Β£100 in the week.
Yes wonder who goes Friday? Not keen on Anton.
goodnight both.
xx
busy day again tommorrow, have to sort B and B stuff out and the storage for mum, then go and help her back, Will enjoy relaxing for BB by the end of the night though.
Quite a nice warm day here. Got quite a lot done.
I realize you must be very busy at the mo Mollie. What a pity your Mum's house move fell through. But at least you have sorted out something for her.
Yes, I've got plenty of oil at the moment, but it's not been too cold yet.
Either Anton or Aden to go for me.
I see Rebeckah has gone off on holiday to Spain, so she is unlikely to be there if Aden is out.
Evening Both.
A lot of work for you Mollie, shame about your mums move but may be for the best.
Hope you get your money back soon, wonder what the problem is?
Got the new inhaler this morning, took 1 dose, it's 2 a day, morn/evening, it's preloaded so don't have to put anything in.
The food is very very good in Frankie & Bennys, i had deep fried battered black pepper Calormari with a dip, then Spaghetti Carbonara with Parmasan cheese, very nice.
Lovely place as well, this one was massive.
Still looking into the tyres, might get Winter ones, the bloke i usually see hasn't got any in yet, will see him next Friday again as he's going to Germany next week for tyres.
We got the cabinet thingies with the inserts, i got my small alarm clock, found one laying around and when asked about them, they didn't have any more.
I've covered all the tree tubs now from the winter rain and snow, pruned the trees, just the vines to do again when they are dormant ready for next year.
Got to cover some of the trees with protection, the figs, peach & necterine, think the rest are ok.
Got my Garlic coming up all ready.
Have turned off the auto watering so will start draining off the pipes now.
It sure looks like Anton going tonight, but may be a possibility of Aden, not sure, not too bothered.
Put my new Flymo blade on, haven't used it though, ground still too wet, hope it can dry a bit.
Have a good weekend both of you.
PS
Going to Morrisons for brekki with my lad and his lad.
A nice warm day here, but cloudy.
That was a surprise, Aden going. Bet the bookies aren't pleased.
Rebeckah had to fly back quickly from Spain.
Enjoy your brekkie at Morrisons Hicky.
I might work tomorrow, or I might not?
The dog didn't get a walk today, as it was 6.30pm before I got home, so I owe her a long one tomorrow.
Evening Both.
Had a great brekkie this morning, went to the new Morrisons in New Brighton.
Very surprised at Aden going.
It's strange really.
Hope you got some work done Emptybox.
The weather was lovely here, started off cold, 8deg.
Took the covers and curtains off the Gazebo.
Have taken to top roof rails off, think i will leave the upright verticals and the horizontal tubes in.
Took my lad and his gang to Birkenhead for school clothes for a little one.
Good luck with the dog Emptybox.
Hope Mollie has a good day.
Watching SCD, then X-F, then BB.
Hi Hicky.
Not too bad a day here, but I decided not to work.
I took the dog for a nice long walk instead.
Are you getting ready for winter in the garden, by dismantling the gazebo?
They do say it'll be much colder next week.
Voting for Janet and Kitty in the X-Factor
Evening Mollie & Emotybox.
Not too bad today.
Took the rest of the Gazebo down, was going to leave some up but it's so easy to dismantle and my lad said it will last longer if not left out for the winter.
All tubs protected from the rain and snow.
Had a couple more Figs today, they must have put on a spurt.
Had a bunch of grapes as well, very sweet and seedless.
Hoping for good things next year.
Will prune in the winter according to the rules.
Enjoying SCD, X-Factor and BB.
Hope Mollie is OK.
Sounds like you've been busy in the garden again.
Not a bad day here at all, but it was getting chilly when I took the dog for a walk at about 5.30pm.
Went to the new Sainsburys again for some more stuff.
I enjoyed the X-Factor results, but I think that floppy-haired singer should have gone, rather than the group. Glad Kitty got some votes anyway.
I haven't been watching Strictly. I think X-Factor and BB are plenty for me to keep up with.
Plus I recorded Downton.
Good Morning Mollie & Emptybox.
Happy Monday.
It was raining earlier here, never mind.
Still got more to do in the garden but will wait for the weather to cool down.
The Garlic i planted is coming up, think some of the onions have sprouted as well.
Didn't cut the grass as it was still wet, might raise the blade for the last few cuts of the year it won't get dry enough to try it on the lowest setting.
But at least with it not having wheels it doesn't cut grooves in the soil.
this new inhaler seems to be working, wasn't so puffed when i arrived at the office after the walk from the car park, even the stairs didn't bother me.
will see whats it's like when i get to the canteen at 10am.
Usually i need to stop to get my breath when i go in.
I enjoy SCD, not as good as the ice skating but like the girls and their pretty dresses.
X-F is all right, Louis shouldn't be there, liked the girls though.
BB is interesting, Aaron is such a wimp, they all seem crazy, Harry is ok though.
Hope Mollie if ok.
Bit Busy, will get back

Awful
And on pic 33 Traffic cop directing traffic and you can't even see the road, that is amazing.
Evening Mollie & Emptybox.
Was pretty busy at work
Making new quotations up and changing some wording in some.
Booking in new orders for work.
Didn't get a lot of free time.
Off tomorrow.
Taking a little one to school in the morning.
Have got 2 child seats in the car now, 1 for the baby, got a new one for him and one for the 5 year old, he's started at this new school, with them mving he needed a different school, but his mum can't drive so me and O/H will take them in th morning and pick them up.
Warching BB, just watched C5 all night, think i recorded some other stuff though.
Hope Mollie is ok.
Got a bit done this morning, but torrential rain this afternoon.
In fact it was so heavy at one point that it set my car alarm off.
Glad your new inhaler is doing some good. It must be frustrating to get so puffed out.
Bet you didn't think you'd still be doing the school run at your time of life? You're probably happy to be doing your bit though?
Mollie must be busy getting her Mum sorted out, I expect.
Good Afternoon Mollie & Emptybox.
Yep, school run done, Went to Docs, Nurse washed ears out, one still needs more softening, another week.
Had Brekki at Morrisons, yummy.
I see Chanelle is in Zoo this week Topless.
Enjoying her body these days then.
Rebeckah in a new shoot as the face of Saucytime . com
Hi Hicky.
Wet this morning, but I got some work done this afternoon.
Picked up my copy of Zoo at the same time.
It's a good interview with Chanelle.
Those are great pics of Rebeckah as well.
Not sure what Aden'll think of her new job though?
Good luck with softening that ear wax.
The nomination twist seems quite fun, as long as it doesn't mean Faye is up I'll be happy.
Morning Mollie & Emptybox.
Was very windy yesterday, wow, awful
Had to secure the covering i put on the fruit tree tubs, not so bad now.
Will stay on till threat of frost gone in the spring.
Only got the vines to prune now.
Still a couple of Figs ripening.
Not sure about this nomination twist.
If Jay & Anton pick others there's going to be hell to play.
Hoping not to be too busy at work today.
Hope Mollie is ok.
Frosty here this morning. White on the grass and ice on the windscreen. The gritters have been out this evening, and there's already ice on the car.
Once the frost had cleared it was a nice day, so I got a bit done this afternoon, and gave the dog a walk.
This Premiere twist will look quite good on the highlights show tomorrow, I expect, but it's far too much contact with the outside world for my liking.
I'm glad Faye gets a week off from being up for eviction though.
I want Anton to go, so will be giving Jem a few votes.
I hope mollie isn't overdooing it?
Evening Mollie & Emptybox.
Not been that cold here, down to 10C, not done a lot today, went to a new Morrisons for some food, was going to get brekki but O/H came in too late and i had started making brekki all ready.
But my garden metal chairs under cover in my little plastic greenhouse.
Put my greenhouse heater in the summerhouse and set it to frost.
With Harry, Anton, Jay & Jem up for eviction it is taking it's toll on them.
Faye & Jem want to leave,
Hope Mollie is OK.
Wet here this morning, but milder anyway.
I've quite enjoyed having the dog here, but my Brother is picking her up tomorrow.
I see Faye and Jem are still bickering on BB.
I don't think Faye will walk out though, and jem will probably now wait for the eviction.
I've still got grass to cut, so I hope the winter weather doesn't come in too soon.
I wonder if Mollie is having internet problems, or is just very busy?
Evening Mollie & Emptybox.
Not bad here today, 15deg most of the day.
will have to start putting my watering stuff away, any parts that remain with water in will have to be put away.
Went to Costco, got a few bits.
Just had a lovely salad, added a few bits to liven it up.
Bought some more massive prawns in shells, and some cottage pies.
Looking forward to the eviction tonight, looks like Gemma but the public could go for Anton as he is getting too big for his boots.
Hope Mollie is ok, as you say, could be connection problems.
Well, that's Anton gone.
Think the house will be better now.
Evening Mollie & Emptybox.
Bit chilli here today, ice cream van just pulled up outside, are they mad.
Still preparing for winter, slowly, picked another kilo of toms, will cut the plants down next weekend.
One more Fig to pick then i'll start protecting the plants.
will have to move the Peach and Nectarine into the summerhouse.
Glad Anton went, maybe Jem will wake up and do something.
Hope Mollie is ok.
Going to the new Morrisons for brekki in the morning with my lad and one of his.
Not bad day here. Had my Brother and family here for lunch and to take their dog back.
Didn't do much else, but enjoyed X-Factor, especially Kitty and Janet.
Enjoy your breakfast at Morrisons.
I'm going to Sainsburys again tomorrow. There's a cafe there, but I haven't sampled it yet.
There's still quite a few tomatoes coming on my plants so I'm going to leave them for now. Hopefully till the end of the month. They're past their best, but I may get a few more.
I finished my own potatoes now, so I'll have to go back to supermarket ones.
Morning Mollie & Emptybox.
Not too bad here today.
Had a good day yesterday, brekki was good.
Put my dwarf Peach & Nectarine trees in the summerhouse for the winter, picked the last fig and grapes, will start preparing the figs now, get them covered.
Have turned off the water system and drained most if it, put the manifold and timing system in the shed.
With the Gazebo down i put the metal chairs under cover
Enjoyed SCD and X-Factor and BB.
Watched about 4 'Undercover Boss USA', so good.
Haven't got my winter tyres yet will check again this week, thousands coming over from Germany, don't know if they have my size.
Hope Mollie is ok.
Hi Both xx
sorry haven't been around for ages.
Hope you are both well.
had an awful non stop week last week ,fiinsihing my mum;s move , and then intenet problems at home.
am still trying to sort all mums paperwork out.. we left house spotless and agent said that ratbag millionaire LL of hers refused to sign off her deposit until he too, had personally inspected it after we had handed back the keys. Son took pics and I told agent, as she could not show me anything at all wrong with the house at the time she inspected it all with us, (the house was left in better state than when she moved in), then if he tries and stops a penny later down the line, then I will officially dispute it,
will call back later today and read back to see what you have been up to.(if my internet doesn't go off again, that is)
have a good day, wet here today.
Good afternoon Mollie.
Assumed you were having a bad time, these things really do try our patience.
These landladies don't half try it on.
Good thing to take pics as evidence though.
Hope it all turns out ok, it's an expensive hobby this moving around.
Hope the internet stays on as well.
Been a bit busy today, will catch you laters.
I see they are opening a 'Red HotWorld Buffet' in cardiff.
------------------
Tweeted here from them.
-----
Lovely to hear from you again Mollie.
Pity about your internet problems, and of course you've been very busy.
You don't seem to have much luck with these deposits.
Luckily my landlady only asked me for Β£200 when I took over the tenency, so that'll be the least of my worries when and if....
We took over the house unfurnished and undecorated anyway, and I haven't demolished anything, so there shouldn't be a problem.
Not bad a day here. Quite mild and sunny, but very windy. While I was getting the mower out of the van at one place, the wind blew my cap off, and it ended up dangling from the aerial on the roof of the van. Quite funny at the time.
Not keen on this nomination twist on BB, with the friends and family nominating.
Faye's Mum nominating Aaron has set the cat among the pigeons.
Poor Faye.
Evening Mollie & Emptybox.
Not been a bad day here, pretty sunny really.
Went to Docs but there's a problem, the building had been locked up over some dispute.
Gave me numbers to ring, they are moving to new premises anyway.
Will have to carry on with the oil in the ear for now.
Watched Shipwrecked tonight, it's a new series on E4 for 13 weeks, but on a Tuesday i think.
Moved my Fig tree's today, re-arranged them for better Sun coverage, save me doing it in the spring, it will also make it easier to protect for the winter.
Watching Jaimie and recording Code-Breakers, it was the code section i was in in the military.
Looking forward to BB tonight.
I love the nomination twist, stops the HM's trying to fix it.
Work in the morning, have a good night, hope Mollie is sorted.
Been invited to another wedding in April, another one of my lads getting married, been married, this will be the 3rd time i think.
That's a bit strange, your doctor moving without telling you? Was it something you said?
Another family wedding? That'll be nice for you.
Quite a nice day her. Sunny and quite mild.
Went out for a meal tonight. Friends of my parents turned up and treated me to a supper out. Very nice.
Not happy that Jem walking has meant that Faye is up and favourite to go on Friday.
Hope you haven't lost your connection again Mollie?
Afternoon Mollie & Emptybox.
They were in the process of moving, they would have let me know but they got locked out of the old premises by the one who had bought the final half of the building and with there being a dispute about rent.
Miserable day here, fine rain, a dull day.
Nice to get a supper out treat, you could do with more of those.
I wonder if Mollie will be going to the new 'Red Hot' restaurant thats opened in Cardiff, mighty fine selection of foods from about 8 or more countries, and you can get a meal made to order from any country.
A real shake up on BB this week eh, does look a bit like Fare will be going.
Hope Mollie is ok.
Some pics of the Cardiff 'Red Hot World Buffet'
Yes, it was drizzly here today as well. Still mild though.
Faye is definitely the bookies favourite to go, but they've got it wrong the last 2 evictions, so she's got a chance. Don't think there's any chance that she and Aaron will last though?
My little chest freezer has stopped working. Luckily I had room for everything in my big upright freezer. The only things I had to throw away was some bags of frozen tomatoes and courgettes, that my Dad froze years ago. I had no plans to use those anyway.
I haven't decided whether to get another chest freezer yet? The upright one is probably plenty for me really.
Good morning both x
A lovely sunny morning here so far, hope it is for you both too today.
Hicky
I see you have been busy preparing for winter in the garden. Glad to hear you got some figs this time. That new resteraunt in Cardiff..is that the same one you go to, and enjoy in Liverpool? Another wedding, that is nice. You and OH are going to busy with the school run now. Has the little one settled in ok? Did they move so they could get to a better school? I know many have to do that round here, because there are so many bad schools in some areas. Glad to hear your breathing is improved with the inhaler. How odd about the docs just closing, all about money nowerdays. Hopefully your ears should improve with just the oil alone, I know all that syringing these nurses are so fond of doing lately can risk harming your ear drums, or even bursting them. But they try and keep that bit quiet.
Emptybox
LOL at your cap on the aeriel, that is the sort of thing you see on that "You've Been framed".
Hope you enjoyed having the dog around for walks. Did your family have a good holiday? Where did they go? Your brother is lucky to have you around for dog sitting.
What a shame about your freezer. Hope a replacement is not too expensive. Is your heating problems fixed ok now?
I would prefer for that horrible crude Jay to go instead of any of the others, Just can't understand who on earth would be voting for someone like him?
Hopefully i should be back to my daily posts again. OH found the problem with the internet, it was a lose plug socket thing. And i have at last been able to start and catch up a bit with things at home. Still a lot to do, because I still have some of our stuff to sort and my mums too. But we are getting there. I was in a lot of pain from my ribs during all the moving, so OH bought me a new TENS machine, which with the painkillers, helped me get through it all. HOpefully it will settle down again now.
OH's half day today, so we are going to the storage container to get my mums shopping trolley for her, and hopefully out for dinner, then eviction night to look forward to. GET JAY OUT, I say. Unfortuanately, can't see it happening though.
OH home soon and will take doggie a walk on beach. This is the beach cam of where we walk to from our home, but you won't see me on it, because it only shows surfers, and that water sure looks cold. I can see some surfing out there right now, it has been quite busy surf wise this week.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/so..._8418000/8418076.stm
Have a good day both xx
Nice to hear that you are back connected Mollie.
Always best to chek all the plugs.
My Brother was visiting friends in Suffolk, and had a good time thanks.
They were only away for 5 days, but the logistics of it meant I had the dog for 14 days. That was their story anyway. I think they just fancied some dog free time. I didn't mind anyway.
I don't think a small chest freezer would cost more than Β£120, but I haven't decided if i need one yet. I kept quite a few ready meals in it, just to keep it filled up really, but I don't really need to keep that much stuff. I can replace it as I eat it. Haven't decided yet.
The water does look quite cold on that web-cam, but I bet it's warmer than the North Sea up here.
TBHI don't mind if Jay or Harry goes tonight. Just as long as it's not lovely Faye. (you can probably tell, I've got another of my BB crushes? )
