Been looking after a 4 yr old lad today while his mum was cleaning the new house.

 

Went to B&Q and the recycle place.

A mixed day here weatherwise. Some quite heavy local showers. I got soaked this morning, only half an hour into a 2 hour job, so I had to give that up, but another village was dry, so I got some done there instead. I'll have to go back and finish the first lawn another day.

I presume this was one of your grand children you were looking after, and not just some random 4 year old?

Actually I'm now really looking forward to the BB launch now. Not looking forward to those Jedward nutters being in there, but you can't have everything.
A lot of people seem to be getting excited at the prospect of Charlie Sheen maybe going in. Can't think why?

I think Mollie said they were only going to be staying one night in Weston, so she should be back to see the launch show, unless they decided to extend their stay in the Super Mare.

hope you aren't too busy at work now CBB has started, You need time to read up on it. Hope your son's move went well. How nice they are living not far from you. Did they have to sell and buy, or did they just rent?

How did you entertain the 4 year old? I reckon you are good at entertaining the little ones in your family, and they usually end up getting some nice food with you as well.

Pity you got soaked today, but a good job you managed to do a job elsewhere. It seems to of been very showery all summer so far, We had the dry spell in spring this year instead.

We had a lovely 2 days away. Great B and B, they even left us a big box of choccies and a card for our anniversary. We visited the sand sculpturing , so intricate they are. Real talent to do that. We had Pizza Hut as our dinner out.   Yesterday was Air Day, very , very busy, so it was tiring, but we enjoyed the air displays, there were 2 women waliking on the outside of their planes.     At the end they took off their harnesses. Double    

And we saw some parachutists and an acrobat display team that used to be in the Red Arrows.

We are looking round 3 houses to rent over Friday and Saturday, so hopefully one of them will be usefull, they are also all nearer to the coast too, so that is good.

I was very busy at home today because I was behind with house jobs and the accounts .

But luckily I had caught up by evening in time to enjoy CBB tonight.

I think it is going to be a good series, some real strong characters. I love Jedward, they make me

shame we can't get livefeed though, I would love to hear what is going on in the House now.

I enjoyed the BB main show, and I thought Brian did a good job. Nobody stands out yet, but I like Sally Bercow on first look. But as you say, it's frustrating that we have no way of knowing what they are doing till tomorrow night.

I have to say i'm a bit disappointed with Emma Willis's show bBBOTS. I think she herself is great, but it's just BBBM all over again, even down to the talking tellys. Perhaps it'll pick up? I think she said that Chantelle would be on tomorrow night anyway.

I good launch night really, miss the live feed, gives me so much spare time.

 

The move is Saturday Mollie, they are just preparing it to move in.

Garden needs a lot of work, a big conservatory on the back, quite a big detatched house.

Only renting same as the last one.

 

Had a fine time with the 4yr old, B&Q and the recycle plant and doing some work in the gsrden on adding more watering nozzles to the tree pots, he loves food and we loads of that and of course sweets.

 

Glad you had a good time on your jaunt, as you say very hard making those sand models.

 

Hope the house hunting goes well, you'll find what you want in the end, not easy though.

 

We'll just have to see how things go Emptybox, hard with no live feed though, we will only get snippits of the lot.

Yes I too thought the BBOTS was not a good show, even though I do like Emma. I think CBB has had a slow start, a lot of repeated stuff tonight, but still think it shows promise. And that Brian has done a good job so far.

Not happy with Sally being up for nomination, I reckon she could be an interesting character. And of course by even being in there, she has caused controversy.

Was it dry enough today for you to get some work done?

I hope your lads move goes well. I bet the little one really enjoyed his stay with you.   Sounds like the new big house should suit their growing family well, and I am sure you and your OH  will be pleased to have them so local. Thanks for the links. I too enjoyed Jedward and Amy dancing.   And I too am missing livefeed.

 

We met the agent today, saw one house and when we said we would go straight on to see the othere house with her as planned.... , she said "didn't you know that one had gone already?"...no we flippen didn't know it had gone, because even though the agent knew we had booked to see this 2nd house, no-one told us it was now gone to someone else.    The house we did see was ok, but they said we would have to put up all curtain rails and supply all curtains, and there was no negotiation on rent price, Which I think is a bit harsh, in such a big house, when they only initially offer a 6 month rental , so we hope the house tommorow suits us.

 

We visited some friends today and sat in their garden because the weather was so nice, they have a big apple tree loaded with apples, but unfortunately the wasps were in abundance around the area of the tree, so we had to watch out for them. We got fish and chips after from the chippie.

I thought Emma's show was a bit better today, but obviously that blasted dog is going to be a feature.
I hope it's that Bobby that goes on Friday, but as it's vote to save, you never can tell?

No word yet about the car. I'm begining to get annoyed as they have had it for nearly 3 weeks. I am going to ring first thing on Monday to find out what is going on and to book my van in, because the noise on that seems to be getting worse.

It was dry her today, but not particularly warm, got my work done anyway.

Pity about the houses today Mollie. Hope tomorrow's one is suitable.
Wasps can be dangerous. Did you see the stories about 2 people dying from wasp stongs just this week?
I used to get an alergic reaction to wasp stings but I seem to have over that hopefully. I've got a big wasps nest in my shed, so when I go in there to get some tools or fill up my can with petrol, I've got to be careful.

Wasn't struch on any of CBB so far, recorded the bit on the side lasr night, haven't seen it yet, been busy.

 

Had 3  here all day, feeding them etc.

 

The move is going ok.

O/H came home for a rest, she was aching and worn out.

Made her some food and a drink and she went to have a rest.

 

Got a joint in the oven, doing this one slow.

 

Not good about the house lark Mollie, such a problem.

 

Don't know what are they are doing with your car, they only take 1 minute 24 seconds to build one.

 

Will have to see what tonights BB is like but we are 24 hrs behind now anyway.

Caught a bit of X-Factor tonight. That 16 year old girl from Northern Ireland was fantastic. She could have a hit record tomorrow.

BB was OK. The BBBOTS was on 5*, and I thought Alice devine did a good job. A bit stuttery in places, but at least they didn't have that blasted dog.

your poor OH sounds like she could be overdoing it helping with the move. Hope they are a bit more settled today, and that  it is a bit quieter for them today. I bet she was well grateful for the food you made her.

 

Thought BB a bit boring last night, Yet again the show consisted of them showing too much stuff we had seen the night before. Hopefully it will improve as the show goes on and the tasks start. I see on that other follow up show that Al Fayed popped in the BB house for a task. Hope Sally stays, she has potential for some interesting viewing. Don't like Kerry much, think she needs to be at home with her kids sorting herself out, it looked like she was drunk again last night.

 

We liked the house yesterday, but have to get in Agents office early tommorow to pay deposit, so they will hold it for us. And wouldn't you know tommorrow is my consultant's appoitment.   Hopeuflly no one else will beat us to it again, they said one other person had viewed it, but they didnt think this person would take it yet.

Went down well, they still have a lot of work to do to sort the house out.

Back at work, not sure about the weather but think it's ok.

Have put more water nozzles on the tree tubs, 3 on each but only a small amount of water from each, will leave them on for an hour.

 

Pretty busy at work, one boss back, another goes the weekend.

 

Haven't seen last nights CBB, it was a bit late so was watching the Libya Rebels take over Tripoli, brave people.

Not bad at all here today. Got plenty of work done.

Phoned up about my car this morning. They  say they've got the parts for it and will have it ready by tomorrow night, and will then take the van in. It remains to be seen.

Hope you weren't too busy today Hicky? I haven't been following the Libyan situation closely but it looks like Gaddafi is on the way out this time.

Went for brekkie to Morrisons with O/H after going to the chemists.

Took the lawn mower to get fixed at the local tool hire shop, it got fixed and delivered before 5pm.

 

I'm getting flowers back on my Pear tree, strange.

 

Have an awful lot of Tomato's waiting to go red.

 

Went to Parkgate for an ice-cream, yummy, Rum & Raisin.

 

Have caught up with the CBB shows, nothing exciting.

 

About time they sorted your car, but if they have to wait for parts, well, not a lot you can do.

 

Pity the weather people said it was going to be cloudy and dull with rain today, omg, wall to wall Sun all day, we could have had my lad and his family over for a BBQ, so annoying.

We've got a lot to do at my lads new place, the garden needs an awful lot of work doing.

 

I always have ~Rum & Raisin ice cream if they sell it, this place in Parkgate I went to sells a terific mount a day.

There's a queue probably all day from morning till dusk, they must have about 40 flavours or more.

It's stange about the Pear tree flowering again isn't it, and I have some nice spuds coming on, the birds uncovering some while looking for worms I assume, blackbirds probably.

 

I was pretty busy at work but got away handy.

Have got to work Friday again, and it's Bank Holiday Monday.

 

At least I get tomorrow off.

Good weather here most of the day. We had a heavy shower at about 5.30pm, but I'd done plenty by then.

Still no word about the car. I think they must have held a meeting in their little office and decided they didn't want me as a customer any more. Bit strange, as i always pay my bills on time.

hope the weather is dry today for your day off today. It is nice and sunny here so far, so I have lots of washing out.

What a good choice of ice cream you have at that place. What is your fave one? I like trying different flavours when out, but have vanilla Carte dor at home, very nice.

What is your lad doing in the garden? is it overgrown? The garden here is very overgrown at the top, we were told the LL would be back to finish the work on it, but he hasn't. For your lad,  I should think the expense of a lot of decking is not worth it, unless he is certain he has a long term let there.

how strange this is that your car is still not ready. Shouldn't think they would want rid of you as a good paying customer, maybe they just don't know how to fix it, but won't admit it? Hope you get it back soon.

 

I think CBB is getting more interesting now. Haven't a clue who will go Friday. I would prefer Kerry to go, I find her irritating.

Strange about your car, thought they just wanted a part?

I'm sure they want you as a customer.

 

My Lad brought what decking he had to the new place, took it to bits and moved it, think he needs a lot more, but we could do it.

 

It hasn't been too bbad a day, a small shower later on thats all.

 

The garden is in a mess, doesn't look as thought it's been looked after for many years,

It's going to take a lot of work.

 

Workingtomorrow as well.

 

Made a lovely Rhubarb Crumble today with Rhubarb out of the garden.

First time we've had some, just reheating it in the oven now, it tasted fantastic when it had been cooked earlier.

 

No idea who will go tomorrow.

Nice day here, but the evenings are a bit chilly now

Still nothing about the car. They've obviously encountered a snag or found something else wrong, but I wish they would phone and say. I don't see why it should always be up to me to phone?
I suppose I'm not in a hurry as such, because when the Jag is fixed I want them to fix the van, and I can't really afford for that to be off the road, so I'm happy at the moment getting caught up with work while I still have the van. Still, it's dented my confidence in them.

Have to say I'm liking Kerry at the moment. I find her quite entertaining and funny.

My Lads garden needs many hours work, it's all rough grass, stones, gravel, even that weedcontrol matting in places, even thats in a mess.

Can't fathom out what or how it's supposed to be, there's concrete bases for what must have been shed or something.

Not a nice day here at all. Misty and wet this morning. It dried up a bit this afternoon, and allowed me to get a bit done.

Some news on the car front. They say they have finished it at last. They replaced a pump to do with the automatic transmission, and eventually found a small leak in the πower steering, so fixed that as well.
I'm taking the van across to them first thing on Monday, and driving the Jag home. I've impressed on them that I need the van to be back on the road as soon as possible, but whether that has sunk in, we'll have to see.
Anyway, I'll have to try to get as much done tomorrow, before it goes in. I could fit my small mower in the boot of the Jag, but it's not very convenient, and I wouldn't want to get grass everywhere.

Quite looking forward to the eviction. I think Sally is favourite to go, but they say there's going to be a twist of some sort?

That garden of your son's sounds like it'll be quite a challenge Hicky? Hard work, but satisfying to get it the way he wants?

Mollie. Have you heard anything aboút the house yet?

Sounds like your lad is going to be kept busy with that garden. I expect he will want to do it ASAP so the family can enjoy it, let's hope for some dry weather so he can. As Emptybox says, it is no surprise that he would want your help there after you have done such a good job on your own garden.

Your rhubarb crumble sounds yummy. Haven't made a crumble for awhile, think i will have to remedy that now soon.

What good news that your car has at last been fixed. Hope the bill is not too much of a shock though. I certainly hope they get your van sorted quicker with your livelehood being at stake for that job, and that it stays dry so you can get some work done before the van goes in.

 

No news on the house front today, the agent did phone and told me she hadn't had chance to ask the LL if we could put Sky in, and then said our tenancy check was still processing.   So it is going to be at least Tuesday until we hear anything at all now. So annoying.

 

Managed to see CBB tonight after we got back from sainsburys where we went today to get some food, It was pouring down most of the afternoon here.

 

We are going to see the Sound of Music tomorrow in Cardiff theatre, Jason Donovan taking the lead, so I am looking forward to that.

Well that eviction was predictable. And what happened to the big twist? It just seemed like any other eviction to me?

I'm not sure this garage does courtesy vehicles as such? It's just a small concern. They've never offered me one before. They seem to prefer driving backwards and forwards.

Bought a rain barrel with a stand.

 

Took one of the grandchildren to B&Q for a few bits for my lad to sort his TV out.

 

I was happy Sally went last night, she won't be missed.

 

Not sure how we are supposed to get into the program with an hour a day.

It was wet here as well, so my plan to get a lot of work done today came to nought.

 

During a brief dry spell, I got my van unloaded ready for Monday.anyway. I also did a bit of strimming in my own garden, but it was too wet to cut the grass.

 

I was sorry Sally went yesterday. I think she'll be missed. 
X-Factor was good, but not as good as last week.

It wasn't too bad today, got my Lads new shed built, quite easy, it was a 8x6' Apex shed with double doors and 4 windows along one of the sides.

It will be used to house boxes of toys as they still have all the toys from their daughter who is 14.

 

I was going to cut our grass but never got the chance.

 

Went for a Carvery after we left my lads place.

 

I wasn't bothered that Sally went, won't be missed.

Are you getting your lads sheds from B and Q? Those kiddie garden toys certainly do take up a bit if space in the shed.

 

We went in estate agents yesterday to check on house forms progress. This tenancy checking company is a damn joke.   Seems they are holding it up to vefiry my wages, they should of asked the accountant, but she tells me they only sent her an email form for OH so she couldn't do mine without this form.     Don't even know why they need to check up on my part time wages anyway?

We enjoyed The Sound of Music , a great production, I enjoyed the music and the cute kids in it.   The dancing was great too, Arlene Philips was the choreographer for this production. I ate too many maltesers though.  
Today we took doggie a walk on the seafront, good views over to England today, but we had to keep sheltering from the showers. Never mind we still enjoyed it.

Enjoyed CBB tonight with the chef and the cooking, and the twins washing up.

The pond is about 3 or 4 meters across, at least a dozen fish, some a foot long.

He's had them years.

It has a net over it to stop the herons getting them.

 

B&Q didn't have the right sheds in the right sizes so we had to get them online.

Very easy to erect as long as there's 2 of you.

 

Don't envy the house moving fuss, seems harder than it should be.

 

Hope you can get some work done with your car emptybox, weather been awful for a while.

Well I've got my car back at last.

It's running fine, but I notice that the sport mode button on the automatic transmission isn't working. Not sure if that has anything to do with their repair to the transmission or just a coincidence? I probably haven't pressed it for two years, so it's hard to tell? I'll mention it to them anyway.

 

Didn't do any work today. I took a day off and went into town to get a few bits and bobs, including a new doorbell.

I'll have to do a bit tomorrow though.

 

The weather wasn't bad here. A bit chilly and cloudy, but basically dry.

 

I had chicken in a honey and mustard sauce with potatoes and sugar snap peas for supper. I love pork crackling though.

A sport mode on the Auto box is only going to give you lower ratio's that use a lot more fuel, would have thought you would notice really, on an auto it doesn't really matter what gear your in but in sport mode not sure what else it does as it doesn't have gears, it is all hydraulic oil that drives the car.

 

hope you had better weather than here, it rained on and off all day, very miserable really.
