Hi Hicky.

More visitors this evening? It's all go at the weekends for you?

I think Ash is doing OK at the mo? She certainly seems to be getting more TV and film work anyway.

We think she and Nikki were off doing something overseas last weekend, but no idea what it was as it seems to be hush-hush at the moment? Ash's manager isn't saying anyway.

Dug my first two shaws of potatoes this afternoon. I got about 20 small to medium sized potatoes from the two. Should do me for a week or so anyway.

Some of the plants are still green and lush, but some are going yellow, so i dug up a couple of the yellow ones. Hopefully I'll get as good a crop from the rest.

I think I've solved my problem with Amazon MP3s, or got round it anyway.

I discovered that the Banshee music player, on Ubuntu Linux, links directly to the Amazon store, and will download MP3s directly through the player, without needing any extra software. Also it downloads them directly into the 'Music' folder without there needing to be a separate 'Amazon MP3' folder present.
I can then copy the music to my Windows computers without any risk of messing up Windows Media Player.

I also tested that my ordinary Amazon account hasn't been affected by successfully downloading a book into the Kindle player on my tablet PC.

Watching this 'Fake or Fortune' on BBC1 with Fiona Bruce. Very interesting.

emptybox

Evening Emptybox.

Wonder what Ash & Nikki are up to, got to be to do with c5 and BB surely.

Did you wait for your Spud plants to Flower?, thats when to dig them up or if you want them bigger wait till the flowers die down.

My spuds plants are massive, nearly 1metre high all ready, no flowers yet though.

Glad you've sorted the download problem, don't download much music myself.

Got quite a lot done on my tree tub shields, made all the reinforced plastic covers.

Had my other Fig today, wanted to get it off as I want the goodness to go into the new growth now.

Watching Top Gear as the new Range Rover we make at work is on being tested.

Of course we make the Freelander 2 as well.

Hi Hicky. My potatoes are second earlies, which mean you don't have to wait till they have flowered before harvesting them, although most of them have flowered.

The ones I dug had yellowing leaves so no more material would have been sent to the tubers.

I'll leave the ones that are still green till last.

someone has suggested that Ash and Nikki were on Celebrity Coachtrip, but if that were the case then they can't have lasted long. I'll tell you if I hear anything more.

I've recorded Top Gear and I'll watch it later.

Wish I had a spare ÂĢ27,000 to spend on a car, but I'm not sure about the styling of that Evoque? It looks like one of your robots has toppled over and squashed the roof in?

Hi Emptybox.

I was very late putting my Spuds in because I was waiting for the onions & Shallots to come out, planted them in the autumn but didn't know when they would be ready, it said wait till the leaves died off, I think I would have waited a long time so I took them up to put the spuds in.

If yours are earlies then I would think they would be ready, if yours didn't flower then you will probably get small new spuds.

The Range Rover looked good inside, think they have many on order all ready, they won't be able to make enough though, they never can.

Hicky

Good evening all

Hicky

sorry to hear about your dizzy problems. Could you get to see you doc to get it checked, instead of just a nurse? Do you think your new inhaler could be causing this, because you only started it recently didn't you?

Good job you have your gazebo so you can serve all that food to your hungry family.

Glad you finished your jobs at work in time to check your forums.

The Range Rover looks a lovely car, too expensive for us unfortunately.

OH still looking at cars for us.

Emptybox

Good job you didn't miss out on your shag bol. Hope it has dried up there now.It sounds like growing potatoes can be hard work.

Nikki and Ash on Celeb Coach trip, Well that will be fireworks, we know how much they can't stand each other. Whilst I enjoyed the last Celeb Coach trip, I generally do prefer  the public one.

Been very busy today catching up after going out a lot Fri, Sat and Sunday.

Did about 9 washloads, but managed to get them all dry in the good weather.

Had a lovely afternoon on the seafront yesterday, whilst we waited with the dog for son to finish drama rehearsals. , Weather was perfect, not too hot, and not wet either. Had a latte on the cafe seafront and a choc ice later on.

hope you both had a good day. xx

M
Evening.

Very showery here. I tried to cut some grass, but the rain stopped me after only half an hour.

Those dizzy spells don't sound good Hicky? Might well be a reaction to your inhaler or some other medicine?

I've booked my van in for a service and MOT next Monday, so I'll be forced to take a day off then, and I've got a dentist appointment on thursday morning, so I'm hoping for good weather on the other days so I don't get too far behind.

Hi mollie. Glad you hada nice afternoon at the seaside .
The Celeb Coachtrip was just a theory. We don't know what they were doing, or even if they were really doing something together at all. It's just that they seemed to be on the same flight to Slovenia on the thursday, and were both back in London the following Tuesda. But I'll keep you posted.
emptybox

Good afternoon Mollie & Emptybox.

Saw the Nurse, B/P a bit high, got to go back next week for Bloods and more B/P's.

The Range Rover is too dear for me unless I win the Lottery.

The Sun has just popped out, about time as well.

It's lovely to see the new growth on the Fig Tree, there's plenty of room for it to grow anyway.

It's nice when you can walk on the Seafront Mollie while waiting for your lad, Latte and Ice cream, can't be bad.

The dizzy spells seem to start after I stopped the spray inhaler but before I started the powder one.

Hope your Van passes it's MOT Emptybox, can be expensive if not.

I wonder what Ash & Nikki were doing then?

We'll find out as soon as they can say.

A lot of people do programs and they can't say anything for 6 months, it must be awful for them.

Hope you have a good day you two.

Hicky
Evening.

Not bad weather today, so I got a lot done, but everything is wet after all the rain, so the grass is that much more difficult to cut.

Glad your figs are coming on fine this time Hicky. Hope they manage to get your BP down, and get to the bottom of your dizzy spells.

Watching my recording of Four Rooms. It's a funny programme. They are always in the same outfits, so I presume all the programmes were filmed on the same day?
I like it when the guy in the scarf says "Are you a gambling man?"
emptybox

Good evening both

not a bad day here today, bit of cloud but at least it was dry.

Emptybox

Glad you managed to get a lot done today.

hope you can fit in your garden work around the MOT  and dentist. Fingers crossed the MOT doesn't cost you much either.

Both Ash and Nikki to and from on same flights sounds more than just coincidence. As Hicky says, it must be hard for them to keep quiet about what they are up to.

yes on Four Rooms,  I too like it when he says about the gambling.

They were all on This Morning the other day, and Emma said she got an interest in tax idermy as a child , when her father gave her a giraffe. One of the other dealers said her father was the worlds best taxiderma dealer. I find her so interesting.

Hicky

strange how the dizzy started after you stopped the spray inhaler. So maybe that one suited you best, Did you tell them about that connection at the docs? Hope you can get it sorted soon. Good job they are checking on you next week though.

How long is it till BB starts now?

Is it the celeb one first?

Dried the sheets well today, and took doggie a walk, nice because not too hot and not wet either.

Goodnight both xx

internet on go slow again tonight , so had to wait till this late to post, seems to do this at busy times now.

M

Evening Mollie & Emptybox.

Xouldn't get on at work, problem with the Puter, seemed that it was an incompatability between the backup software and the latest Avast.

They say the 2 inhalers are the same, just ones a liquid the other a powder.

CBB should start next month, npt sure on an opening day, not heard yet.

Didn't feel dizzy, only when I lay down and then sit up, dizzy when down, dizzy when up again.

The Apprentice now.

Weather should be nice tomorrow anyway, for a bit.

Hicky
Evening Mollie and Hicky.

Lovely weather here so I workrd till 7.30pm to take advantage of it.
Got the Dentist in the morning. Last time I was there he said I might need a filling replaced this time. Hopefully he'll have forgotten about it. I certainly won't be reminding him.

Pity you had computer problems at work Hicky. Wonder why Avast was affecting your back-up software?

The Apprentice was good. I think the right 4 are through to the final, but I hope Helen wins.

Glad it was nice by you Mollie.
emptybox

Afternoon Emptybox.

Enjoyed The Apprentice like you.

Think those 2 that won (was it Helen & Tom) will be the final 2 those other 3 were a waste of time.

They just don't seem to understand what the task is.

And to say 60 ÂĢ7 is 4800 was plaid stupid, LS won't be having that working with him.

Thought their food and service was terrible, the whole thing really, no idea.

It's beautiful here today. Wall to Wall sun.

Just making a few more of the tub covers.

Not sure how tall these spuds are supposed to grow, have had to fence them in at 2ft with some support.as they are 3ft high all ready.

The new growth is coming on on the Fig Trees.

The Vines are growing like mad, will have to be careful when pruning them in the winter to get the best out of the plant.

There's lots of info on the web, download tons.

Hope Mollie is having a good day, and you, it does say rain for a few days.

Hicky
Evening.

Yes, it was a beautiful day here as well.
Just a pity i had to lose half of it by going to the dentist.
I almost missed my appointment. I set off in plenty of time, but there were roadworks all the way along the route, and I had to tke a detour down a little country lane which took much longer than usual.
I arrived at the surgery about 2 minutes after my appointment time, but luckily they were running a bit late, so no harm was done.
Luckily I didn't need anything done. No mention was made of the filling, so I presume it hadn't got any worse since last time?

I doubt if your potatoes will get higher than 3 feet high Hicky? They need to be growing potatoes rather than leaves.

I think the final 2 in the Apprentice should be Helen and Jim, I don't think much of Susie or Tom TBH. Fancy Tom thinking that Christopher Columbus was English, and brought the potato back from America? I thought he was supposed to be a bit of a brainbox?
Mind you, as you say, Jim's arithmatic wasn't up to much.

I think the west side of the country is in for worse weather tomorrow, but hopefully I'll get away with dry weather till evening.
emptybox

Good evening both x

glad to hear you are both are having the good weather, it has been nice here too again today.

Hicky

glad you are well pleased with the figs this time.

Hope you weren't too bored at work with the broken computer.

Emptybox

good news that all was well at the dentist.

shame you had to waste half a day going though.

Yes I think the right ones are in the final of The Apprentice, should be a good final.

been looking at cars again today.

goodnight all x

M

Evening Mollie & Emptybox.

Not too bad a day here, had a lot of Sun.

Made a chicken curry to give the lads, went out for a Carvery at 4.30.

Fig tree new leaves coming on.

Glad your teeth were OK Emptybox, thats a bonus.

Think Helen will be in the final 2, with either Tom or Jim.

It was a wasted day Wednesday at work, the puter wouldn't do much at all, but hopefully at the end of the day it seemed back on track.

Glad you can get to Weston again, hope things go well with the car.

Hicky

Well i went out for my mag.

Boss rang me this morning to say he's left some work for me to do Monday.

He's away on a Cruise next week, with it being his 50th Birthday.

I've been working with him since he was 17, he was my Apprentice.

Should have an easier week next week.

The Sun is making a lot of appearances this afternoon.

Been watching some of the Golf.

Hicky

Good evening both x

Hicky

bet you enjoyed that brekkie with OH today.

Me and OH went to Asdas, had nice brekkie of tomatoes, beans, fried pototes, mushrooms , toast and latte.

Glad it cleared up and you got some sun this afternoon. It was very heavy rain here this morning but cleared nicely in time for us to go to Cardiff this afternoon. Kids needed something for their guitars.I managed to show control and buy no clothes there.

Didn't realise you had your own Apprentice Hicky. You must of trained him well as he has a boss job now.

Emptobox

hope you managed to get on with your work inbetween showers today.

Shag bol tonight?

I got a new navy mac with pink flowers on today from Asda, very useful for those showers.

Car viewing in weston waste of time. Got to garage and bloke said it was short drive to find the car we had come to see parked somewhere else in a compound. So we said we would come back later, When we did. it was starting to rain, and he said it was only a minutes walk down the road, so we could walk it. So we all traipsed after him, me and daughter struggling to keep up in our jewelled flip flops. Son said he didn't know why we wore them. (we hadn't expected to have to flippen jog down this horrible lane_ Eventually after at least 10 mins walk, got to this damn car pound, got to car, and the stupid salesman didn't have the key to even let us in. He said he didn't realise we wanted to see inside it. Why on earth would we want to walk all that way just to peep through the window? Idiot.   So he said , he;d just walk back and get the key, so off he went jogging back down the lane, leaving us just standing there in the rain. We managed to find this sheet of steel thing to shelter under, then after about 15 mins he comes back in his car, gets out, and realises he has the wrong key. At this stage we had enough, and it was pouring, so we told him to take OH back to pick our own car up, to save us walking back in the rain. He was like something out of a comedy sketch. And OH said he even had BSC after his name on his card.

Good job we did at least get to enjoy chips and fresh hot donuts on the lovely new pier there though.

hope you both had a good day. xxx

M

Evening Mollie and Hicky.

Been wet here all day, so no chance of any work at all.

Went out to the supermarket, but that's all i did really.

That's twice you've called it "shag bol" Mollie, and H isn't anywhere near P on the keyboard. Are you trying to say something?

It's just me here on a Saturday night you know. I don't have any company. (and I'm certainly no Austin Powers  )
Yes I had spag bol as usual, in answer to your question.

That's good that you'll get an easy week next week Hicky, with the boss away.
So this guy started as your apprentice and ended up your boss eh? There's ambitious?

Pity you had a wasted time in Weston Mollie.
This car salesman sounds like he is a disgrace to the name of Bachelor of Science.
Just give me his name and I'll see if I can get him drummed out of the club.
I could put "BSc" on my business cards if I wanted, but I don't bother.
At least you got to enjoy chips and doughnuts on the pier.

Quite enjoyed a programme tonight on BBC2 about song writing with Guy Chambers. I think there have been a couple of previous programmes, but I must have missed them?

Hope we get a bit of dry weather tomorrow, because I want to take my mower etc out of the van, ready for it's MOT on Monday.

Good Afternoon Mollie & Emptybox.

That was a shame about the car Mollie, crazy place, best keep away from there.

My Lad in Oz has been given a new grade of P1 and a 7.5% rise, he's chuffed.

Looking forward to The Apprentice tonight.

Raining here still, won't be doing much outside today, will don my gear tohave a walk around the garden, see things are ok.

Have stored all my dried Shallots and Onions/Garlic in the garage hanging up to keep the air flowing around them.

Pity you couldn't get any work done Emptybox, forecast not good this weekend anyway.

The Boss I have worked with for many years has a brill memory, a good brain and is pretty clever, he does a hundred things a day while multitasking, has a phone in his hand continuous the whole day.

He keeps the system running.

Just had a great Brekkie at Sainsbury's with my lad, O/H and grandson.

Hicky
Evening.

Very wet here today, in fact we had thunderstorms earlier, and a short power-cut.
Luckily there was a dryish patch, when I was able to get my van ready for tomorrow.

Congratulations to your son on his rise Hicky.

Watching the Apprentice. I didn't realise they already had to have their business plans ready.
I was really hoping Helen would win, but her business doesn't make any sense. I would say only Susie's business makes any sense to me?
emptybox

Morning Emptybox.

That was a strange finish to The Apprentice.

I wqs sure he would pick Helen, not sure about these rushed business plans, seems soft to me.

Didn't know they would even want one, thought he would judge on the whole series.

He chose Tom because he couldn't really lose with him, he already had items in the market, and as an inventer on board he is always going to bring new idea's to the table, thats what LS wants.

Lousey weather here still.

Rain has been pouring into the office from the roof section, we are on a mez floor and our ceiling is the main factory roof but there are plant rooms above and somehow the rain can come down big girders and wet along a path across the office.

My ÂĢ5,000 colour laser printer was swimming earlier, have pulled it away from the water,

Not sure if it will be ok as water was running inside were the paper comes out.

I've been left loads of work, so I will be pretty busy today anyway.

Hope Mollie had a good weekend?

Hicky
Hi Hicky.

I took the van across to the garage for 8am (about 10 miles), and gave one of the guys a lift back here, then he drove the van back on his own. Bit of a palaver, and uses up a lot of fuel, but the only other way would be for them to give me a courtesy car.

The weather's OK here this morning, but showers are forecast later.
I think I'll cut my own grass while it's dry, and then do some housework this afternoon.
I hope they can do the van in one day,, cause I can't relly afford to be off longer.

That sounds kind of disasterous, if you have water coming through your office ceiling, damaging the electronic equipment? Not good it happening when the boss is away either. I hope the printer is OK when it dries out. Don't work too hard.

I think the Apprentice candidates had been told to work out a business idea before the series started, and they just put the finishing touches to it in the last 48 hours? But I think that was the weak point of the series, and he should have judged them on their performance over the whole series. He could have easily worked on a business plan with them after they had won.
Still, I think the final four will all do Ok regardless anyway?

Hope Mollie had a good sunday?

Good afternoon both x

Had such a hectic weekend, felt exhausted and unwell yesterday morning and have had to catch up on jobs and paperwork at home today.Feel better today though.

Went to town for groceries and brekkie Saturday morning, then Cardiff in the afternoon to get some stuff for kids guitars. Yesterday went to Porthcawl , it was blowing a gale, but still had nice walk with dog. Not many holiday makers out on the seafront though, I dont mind the wind, but don't go walking on seafront if raining.

HIcky

well done to your lad on getting a promotion, he is doing well out there.

Shame the rain stopped you doing stuff outdoors yesterday, but good that you got to go out to brekkie with the family.

Gosh, you would think it would be cheaper for the office to replace all the roof, instead of letting the expensive office equipment getting ruined like that.Bet you are looking forward to putting your feet up after a busy work day today.

Emptybox

hope the van passed the MOT ok, good job you got a break in the showers to get the mower out of it. I bet you could do with a dry spell now to get those gardens done.

what on earth am I thinking about making that typo error with your Saturday night tea. Brain not in gear, must automatically go to type an H after the S,  instead of P there .

And yes indeed that car sales bloke deserves to be chucked out of that BSc club.

I reckon Helen would of won in the past series, but the business plan as you say was her downfall. So I guess Tom was the obvious winner for what  Lord S'swas looking for. Glad the other fella didn't win. Didn't mind Suzie though.

Double Corrie tonight, not sure what else is on though.

Have a good evening. xxx

oh yes, just remembered, Britains Next Top Model is on.

M

Emptybox

have you seen where gold is now?

how I wish we had put all we had into gold now, towards our future house purchase. What i bought nearly 2 years ago has now doubled in value.

To think I only got some gold on what a few eccentrics on the internet said, how right they were, wish I had had a bit more faith in their predictions though, and been a bit braver buying gold. I really hadn't a clue when I bought it.

I think this is a sign how bad things are out there in currency terms though.

Are you cashing in any of your shares, or just leaving them?

I will have to check on same investor site to see what they think will do well next. Dont have shares in anything because I don't really  undestand it.

M

Evening Mollie & Emptybox.

Hope your van passes ok.

The factory roof is flat, it's massive, think above us is plant rooms, would have a look but don't know where we are from on the roof, it all looks the same.

There are high section with verticle windows that use to open to let iar in and the heat out in the summer.

The roof has always had hundreds of leaks as many people walk across designated area's / paths.

People are constantly trying to fix the leaks, but you can only see them when it rains.

We don't have any control over the ceiling/roof and we live there rent free, all inclusive.

A lot of people are still taking about The Apprentice, but it's over now, not much we can do.

Didn't realise Tom had a 1st in his Masters, Wow, clever lad.

Can't see Britains Next Top Model Mollie, what station?

Have never had any gold, so the prce doesn't effect me, but it's always been a good bet.

There used to be all these companies offering to buy your gold, think they were doing you though.

I'm Fasting as well, from 7pm, water only.

Docs at 9.25 in the morning, got to pick my prescription up as well, may as well have brekkie in Morrisons.

I've ordered my Tax Disc, ÂĢ260 for the year.

Hicky

Evening.

Well, i never got my own grass cut because the rain came on soon after I made my post this morning, and it's rained ever since. I got the house dusted and hoovered though.

I got my van back soon after 5pm. It needed some brake pipes replaced before it was passed. But hopefully that will be it for another year.
I put all my equipment back in it, but the forecast for the rest of the week isn't at all good.

Pity your Sunday was spoilt by you not feeling well Mollie. But glad you are feeling a bit better today.

Yes, I saw that about the price of gold. I'm kicking myself for not buying any. I thought of buying gold or silver when you mentioned it a few months ago Mollie, but just never got round to doing anything about it.
I think I'm going to hang on to shares at the moment. The stockmarket keeps swinging up and down, so it's difficult to see which direction it'll go, but I suspect this international debt problem will get worse before it gets better (if it ever gets better).

Hi Hicky. That fasting won't suit you at all. Hope your doctor's visit goes OK.
Did you have any more problem with water getting into your office?

emptybox

Morning Emptybox.

That's not too bad then, a couple of pipes, they are fussy on pipes remaining in good condition.

That rain didn't do you any favours, it was awful here.

Am not at work so it should be ok for now.

Was watching Dirty Sexy things last night, it's only Models M&F getting work and going to auditions, not too bad.

I haven't any gold or shares so thats me out.

Got my bloods taken, then chemist, then Morrisons for brekkie, and easy day now.

Hope Mollie is OK today?

The Sun is trying to make a break for it.

Hicky

Good evening both x

HIcky

glad you rewarded yourself with a nice brekkie after your visit to the docs. When do you get the blood test results? The model show is on Sky living, it is reapeated tonight. Or did you give up your Sky? I know you cut back what you had with Sky, but can't remember if you got rid of it.

Not a bad day here today, got the washing dry anyway.

Did you manage to get outdoors today in your garden Hicky?

Emptybox

glad the van wasn't too bad news. Lets hope the rain clears for you to catch up work wise. I see the general forecast is getting better later in the week.

I was thinking Hicky that you don't have the gold or the shares, but you do have property.

So that is Emptybox with shares, me with a bit of gold, (not much unfortunately), and you with property, so at least we all have a little invested in something.

Not much on tv tonigth. Think I will watch the Peter Andre thing.

Saw this article on Chantelle, That poor girl seems so wound up with self doubts, yet she is so pretty, and such a nice friendly personalitly. Sounds like she is still with Alex. He seemed a nice fella when he was on CBB though.

M

Evening Mollie.

I have a BP check Friday, not sure about the Blood results but they can all call them up on the screen and see what notes have been left.

It wasn't very bright today, we went to Burley Dam nursery for a couple of pressies my O/H wants for the girls in the kitchen from school, she leaves Friday after 25yrs and wanted to get them a small momento.

We had some food while we were there, just a 3 cheese Ciabata or something and a slice of lemon curd Merangue Pie.

Am watching Monster Moves, then Undercover Boss then Kitchen Nightmares USA.

Work tomorrow, shouldn't be too bad.

I suppose my house is worth about 180k maybe, at least it's paid for.

But if it gets too expensive to run then we may have to sell.

I saw the link Mollie, Chantelle is lovely, she deserves to be happy like the majority of people, she would love a baby like so many, maybe she can have one without IVF, who knows.

She won't know until she tries for one.

Have a good Night watching Peter, he's a great feller.

Hicky
