Hi Hicky.

That's definitely a fine healthy looking chap.

There can be no complaints about the size of him.

The Apprentice was a very important one tonight, I think.

It's confirmed Helen as the firm favourite.

It's also confirmed Melody as the anti-favourite, or the favourite from the dark-side, if you like?

Can't I liked the look of any of the products though? I think Sugar sold them some lemons there.

emptybox

Good morning all

Didn't feel too well yesterday, throat not good after being prodded about at hospital. Think I was tired after going to BGT and having to take dog to vet.

Hicky

Aaawww, that baby is just sooo cute. He looks alert for such a new babe.   Is babe and mum home yet?

Thank you for the links for the tablets, I will get some of those.

And thanks for the Stacey link. I have seen the speedway thing constantly advertised on local tv. Speedway not my scene, but I wouldn't of minded seeing Stacey.I bet her new album is good.

Emptybox

I too really like Helen, and have for some weeks. She seems a nice sensible person, who knows what she is doing without having to resort to being a loud mouth, and being nasty to others. Unlike arrogant loudmouth Melody, at least she had done her research on who they were pitching to.  And as you have probably noticed, she is very attractive and always looks smart. A favourite to win i should imagine. I quite like Tom too, but thought he was a bit drippy as far as Melody was concerned.

I now have some accounts to catch up on, but need to tidy up a bit first. With 5 of us and 2 pets, no matter how much I clean, there is always more to do.

have a good day both.

dry here so far, but looks a bit grey.

I heard on the forecast we have a very hot spell to come.

M

Good Afternoon Mollie.

I went to see the new baby, 3 days old now.

My lad took a few pics.

I'll add 3 more.

Gave him some bottle, he needs loads.

You'll have to take things easy, it's easy to do too much.

Enjoyed The Apprentice, not sure who will win yet.

It's good news about the tea and coffee anyway.

Hicky
Evening.
Heavy showers today, but I got a bit done.

Pity you didn't feel very well Mollie. Hope you have been improving today?
I'm not that keen on Tom from The apprentice. He seems a bit wet to me.

Three more cracking photos Hicky.  Looks like you are sporting a bit of a beard there?

I'm enjoying watching the "Planet of the Apemen" programme on BBC1, about Human ancestors.
emptybox

Good evening both

HIcky

thank you for those gorgeous piccies. You look well in those piccies and that little fella at only 3 days old looks so content and like he is smiling whilst on your lap. Aaaww.

What an interesting piccie of where your son works. Do you think he has to sleep in a tent there? I bet it is cold at night if he does. Are they drilling for oil?

Emptybox

I forgot to watch that planet of the apemen tonight.

Yes the fella who won BGT was that Scottish chap. He had a wonderful strong voice live.

Was it dry enough for you to get your work done today.

I feel a bit better tonight than last night, thank goodness.

goodnight both. xx

M

Evening Mollie.

He's a lovely little feller, long as well.

My Lads job is supervising the testing of the ground and mapping out what type of ground is at what level, they probably go down 5 or 10 meters to determine the makeup, think they take bore samples of the rock etc.

It's usually because a company wants to either build something or to tunnel underground.

Don't think he will be in a tent, maybe they have airlifted a container of sorts.

Hicky

Evening both.

Not too bad a day. Mostly dry, but a couple of showers.

I think it's supposed to be good this weekend. Hope so, cos I've got some work to do tomorrow.

I was watching Murray at the tennis. I would love a British champion, but I don't think it'll be him, hope I'm wrong? He just seems too scrappy a player, and inconsistant. He does play some brilliant shots though.

Hope you have been feeling well Mollie?

And hope you had a good day Hicky?

emptybox

Good afternoon both x

Hicky

was it a work day today?

Sounds like your lad has an interesting job. Yes, I can't imagine them living in a tent, it would be very cold in winter , and then you might get snakes, poisonous spiders etc. Maybe there is a guest house not too far away?

Are you hoping to work in the garden this weekend? I see the forecast is saying warm weather to come.

Emptybox

gardening for you today?

It started sunny today, then rain by afternoon, still pouring now. And I see it is pouring in Glastonbury too. The mud looks awful there, don't think I would fancy that at all.

OH has half day, so we went to Pizza Hut for tea for daughters birthday. My fave was the salad bar, and a fruit smootie I had.

Watched double Corrie tonight and Come dine with me.

have a good evening.

goodnight xx

M

Evening Mollie & Emptybox.

Got my new delivery of Saltfish today from the new place.

Got some 400g packs of Cawoods Jumbo Salted Cod, from Grimsby, it didn't get sent from there, just packed there.

They look good, got some in water anyway.

The other packs were 225g, these cost the same.

Got some more wood from B&Q to make the covers for the tree tubs..

Went to Costco, yummy. got 2 more wrought iron chairs for on the decking, have quite a few now.

More eggs.

A big box of mushrooms but O/H dropped then in the road getting them out of the car, mushrooms everywhere, a car ran over a few.

But we still had a box in the fridge.

Murry did ok to win, don't know how far he can get.

Wasn't working today Mollie, it's one of my 4 days off.

My Lad has a good job in Oz anyway, he only oversee's what they do and makes sure they do it to the standard required.

it must be for the new Iron Ore mine working or something to do with that.

Happy Birthday to your Daughter, glad you enjoyed the Salad Bar, not very filling though.

Sorry your throat is uncomfortable after them checking it., you can do without that.

Should be warm for the weekend, have a good one anyway.

Hope you can get your work done tomorrow emptybox.

It should be fine later.

Hicky

Good evening all

Hicky

Aaawww what cute snaps those 2 piccies are. The little girlies look so proud of their baby brother. And the little babe looks so sweet in his footie boots.

Oh dear, shame about the lost mushrooms, but I bet you had a laugh when they went all over the place, good job you managed to rescue most of them.

Have you eaten any of your spuds yet?

Emptybox

Glad you got your work done, have you had a break today from your gardens?

We went to Cardiff yesterday afternoon, we had forgotten the speedway was on, so it was dead busy. So I was there the same time as Stacy, shame I didn't bump into her though.   I had a lovely vaniila, and toffee syrup latte in the cafe there.

Yesterday it was raining all day here in the valley, so we were glad to go to cardiff to get some dry weather.

Today it has been a complete contrast though.. sunny and very hot all day, got lots of washing dried.

Hope you have both had a good day and you too got the summer sunshine today.

am just watching Pop to Opera star. I like this show,

have a good evening.  xx

M

Evening.

I'm enjoying Pop to Op as well Mollie. Just watching Vannesa May now.

It was nice and hot here today as well. A bit cloudy at times, but lots of sun as well.

Had a break from my customers, but not from gardening, because I had my own grass to cut.
I also went for my weekly shop.

Glad you enjoyed your vanilla and toffee syrup latte in Cardiff Mollie.
Did you have any coffee in that as well?

Evening Mollie & Emptybox.

I only put my Spuds in 2 weeks ago Mollie.

Had to get the onions and shallots & Garlic out first.

They seem to be doing ok anyway, earthed them up the other day.

Pity you didn't bump into Stacey, how cool would that have been?

Wasn't too bad at work, will be busy Wednesday with it being the end of 2nd vat period.

I had an email from the nurse at the Surgery saying I need to change my inhaler from the Spiriva Respimat to a Spiriva Handihaler.

Will have to ring her, have just got a new one old type but not used yet so want to find out what to do.

Well at least you got your own grass cut Emptybox.

That Vanilla & Toffee Syrup Latte sounds good Mollie.

Watched Fake Brittain, Dispatches, now The Restaurant Inspector.

Forecast looks good for tomorrow.

Hicky
Evening.
Not bad here.Nice and warm with hazy sunshine at times, but threatening showers. The rain didn't come on till this evening.

I didn't watch any of those programmes Hicky. I was watching Wimbledon then Embarrasing Bodies now this 'Sirens' thing on CH4.

Hope you get your inhalers sorted out Hicky.
And I hope you had a good day mollie.
emptybox

Good evening both

it was a hot and sticky day here today, a few showers too.

Hicky

That is strange that this nurse is asking you to change the inhaler, when you already have a full one of the old type. Yes, you need to check it, hope it can be sorted ok.

I forgot the resteraunt inspector. Where were they today. I tend to miss it because I watch double Corrie.

Glad to hear we have a good forecast to come.

Emptybox

seems a shame that when you have a break from gardening work, you have to do your own garden.

Yes, not much room for coffee by the time I have had vanilla and toffee syrup. But believe it or not, it should come with cream as well, but I tell them to leave that out, it is already probably about 300 calories a cup, without the cream.

have either of you watched "Four in a Bed", channle 4 6pm . I like this show.

Did you enjoy Four Doors last night Emptybox. Emma is still my fave valuer. She is so nice to the sellers, I find a couple of the blokes a bit rude.

OH needs to buy us a new 7 seater.

We saw a few over the weekend, new ones too expensive, but we will get one about 3 years old. Our current one has been really good and reliable, but it is old now and starting to need money spent on it. It was a Mitsubishi, not many around for sale of these now, he was looking at a Kia (?) one he liked, cheaper for what you get than the big makes, and nice and roomy for us 5, and my mum when she comes with us ,and the dog, and all our bikes when we go away.   Think we may need a lorry soon.

Did either of you watch Glastonbury?  I really enjoyed watching Biance last night. She was brilliant. I felt tired today, have been staying up late last 3 nights watching Glastonbury.

have a good evening both xx

M
Hi Mollie.

No I've never seen Four in a bed, what's it about?
I like Four Rooms, but I always seem to get bored with it before the end of the programme.
I like the way they've each got different furniture in their rooms, and Emma's is the strangest.

I've watched some of Glastonbury, I didn't see Beance, but I enjoyed U2 and Coldplay.

Hope you find the car you want. My SiL has a Kia, just a small one though.
emptybox

Evening.

Put Firefox 5 in and it wouldn't let me post, had to swop thread back to IE8

Had a gread day, went to B&Q for some Compost for the spuds, earthing up.

One of my lads came around with little George, he'slovely 8 days old.

The pea's are lovely, sitting on the bench eating them from the pod.

Wouldn't know what 7 seater was any good, cost usually controls the thought process.

Work tomorrow.

Have a good day.

Hicky
Evening.

A lovely  day here. Would have been perfect except the flies were out in force again.
I'll have to remember to apply that 'skin so soft' stuff tomorrow.

I managed to catch the Beyonce set at Glastonbury. It was outstanding.
I was mesmerised by the legs.

Hi Hicky.
I've got Firefox 5 in Linux, but I haven't tried installing it in Windows. I prefer Google Chrome.

I'm envious. I love peas straight from the pod.

It's great that you are seeing a lot of your latest grandson.
emptybox

Good evening both

Emptybox

Four in a Bed is a bit like Come Dine with Me, but it is B and B owners judging each others B and B's. Some of them are horrible about the other B and B's, and pick fault over little things. Quite a good show. And a way of seeing inside different B and B;s in different areas.

Yes Emma's room is really weird on 4 Rooms. I see it was on again tonight, so twice a week now.

Is your SIL pleased with the Kia? I had never heard of them before, but it seems big enough for us, and has quite good reviews.

Hope you had a dry day today so you don't get behind work wise.

HIcky

I have heard that the Firefox is making some sites strange, so haven't done mine yet. So I am glad you warned me tf affects post here. Glad to hear you had a lovely day today. HOw nice for the new baby to come and visit you.

Peas from the pod are really nice and good for you too.

Went to look at more cars with OH tonight, we quite liked the Ford 7 seater, but don't think it is quite big enough for us, and the Citreon one looked quite nice, but the Kia we saw still our fave one.

hope you both had a good evening.

bedtime for you by now I expect HIcky as you have an early start tommorrow.

goodnight both xx

M

Morning Mollie & Emptybox.

Beyonce is sure fit, the way she dances round, she doesn't like to cover up, thats the best thing.

FF5 is very fast, but they haven't got the same setup as FF3, don't know why they go and take functionality away.

The Pea's are really good this year, my lad and his O/H had some last night from the pod, very sweet, they are about 6ft tall at the Mo and still growing.

I saw a bit of the Four in a bed, didn't like it, anyone can pull things to bits.

I've stayed in hundreds of B&B's in the past never had a problem, have stayed in them in quite a few countries as well.

It was good to see baby George again, only 8days old, a fine lad though.

Still a bit jaundiced though.

I try not to buy Foreign cars, Ford are always a good buy, the price of spares on others are too costly.

Hicky

Good evening both

Hicky

Gosh 6 feet tall peas, they are doing well.

Yes that is one thing I find annoying about "4 in a bed", when the pull perfectly nice places to bits. That is not nice of them. But I do like to see the different places and inside the different nice B and B's. (I haven't really seen any on the show that aren't nice).

Hopefully little George will soon the jaundice as he puts on a bit of weight. One of my babes had it too, but it soon cleared.  Did you sort out your inhaler ok?

Hope so.

Emptybox

Hope it was dry for you and your gardens today.

Who do you like on the Apprentice? I like Helen, Seems to do well with tasks without resortngn to nastiness, and always looks so immaculate too.

I see Britains Next Top Model starts on Monday. I like that show.

We test drived some cars. Decided against the Kia,The middle seats were not comfy because there was no arm rests. Not sure what to go for next. We are not in rush though, we have MOT on our old one till next year, but garage said there was quite a bit of rust that would need seeing to next time, so that is why we are looking now.

One complaint I have about the Apprentice is that watching it, made me fancy the biscuits , so I ended up eating 4 of them.   I always try to avoid biccies too, not good for my diet.

Goodnight all xx

M

Evening Mollie.

The Pea isn't 6ft, just the plant.

The Chemist still hasn't got the new inhaler in stock.

Am using the old blue one till I get it.

Britains top Model will be ok.

That was funny with the biscuits, the winner selling 800k to one Supermarket.

Don't eat many biscuits really, I suppose if you don't buy them you won't eat them.

Hope Emptybox had a good day and got some jobs done.

Hicky
Evening guys.

Not too bad today. Nice morning, but with a heavy shower at lunchtime which made the grass soaking wet.

I'm glad you decided against the Kia Mollie, because Imade a mistake. My SiL has a Hyundai, not a Kia. Oops
But I think tnese budget far-eastern makes are much better than they used to be. And they're not that much cheaper now thanthe likes of Ford or Vauxhall etc.

The Apprentice was good again.
I like Helen now as well. She seems a worthy winner.

Have to say I like my biscuits a bit too much. I have to stop myself from snacking on them at this time of night.

Hi Hicky.
Glad you've got Firefox working on this site again.
I saw that Benidorm was on, but thought it was a repeat? Wasn't it?
emptybox

Evening Mollie & Emptybox.

It's been a good day today.

Earthed up the spuds again.

Got a call from the chemist saying my new inhaler was in, so went to get it.

This one has a small powder capsule that I put in the inhaler, only once a day.

Benidorm was a new series 1 of 6 so not sure if it was a repeat.

Can't get Firefox to save my Tabs as I could with version 3, am still using bookmarks from that version as it won't let me save them.

I'm watching America's got talent, then C4 9pm Inside natures Giants, the Polar Bear this week.

Hicky

Good evening both

Hicky

at the thought of a 6 foot pea, now that would be an impressive feat.

Glad you got the new inhaler, hopefully from what you say , it shoudlnt be too difficult to take just once a day. Sounds like that new firefox has a few problems still. Hope you are all sorted with it now, I am still delaying installing it, so if i vanish for awhile you will know why.

Emptybox

hope it stays dry for you, I bet it takes you a lot longer to get your lawns done when they are soaking wet. What are your fave biccies? The biccies I was eating was the crunchy butter ones, I like crunchy ones. They are bought for my skinny son really, but he always offers me one, and sometimes I can't resist. Just a few weeks ago, I wouldn't of been able to manage a biccie at all though with my bad throat, so I am pleased I can now.

It has been a nice day here too, and it looks like the forecast is good too, HOpe they have it right.

Been looking at cars again tonight. Written off the Citreon because the 3rd row of seats was only small ones, but fine for small kiddies because they sink into the floor when you aren't using them. (the seats not the kids).

We are going to look at a Ford Galaxy and a Mitsubishi next. We are trying to find one that is not too heavy on petrol but gives us plenty of room too.

at Emptybox's SIL'S Kia being a hyundi in disguise.

goodnight both x

M
Evening.

It's been all seasons in one day here. It started off sunny, then got colder and windier, then we had a hail shower, then back to sun again.

Hope you find the right car Mollie. Are your kids not near the age when they will be wanting cars of their own?

I like all sorts of biscuits really, but I also like the butter ones, and chocolate chip cookies.
I sometimes have a plain digestive if I'm pretending that I'm being good, but I'd prefer chocolate on it any day.

Hope you get on with your new inhaler Hicky.
i saw on the Benidorm synopsis that it mentioned Mel, but he's long dead in the most recent series surely?

Were you affected by any of the strikes Mollie?
emptybox

Morning Mollie & Emptybox.

It's a strange inhaler this one, but I'll see how it goes.

One of my Bosses has the Ford Galaxy, seems a good car, best get Diesel if you can though.

I'm so scared of Petrol, at least Diesel doesn't ignite if you spill it.

Got my KA100 B&D Sanding Mouse ready for collection, rang to arrange for them to collect.

Need it really, got a lot of wood to sand down.

Fancy having a Hail shower Emptybox, mind you ity is still cold out of the Sun.

Got to cut out my spending now till I save up to pay the Taxman before the end of the month.

That was strange seeing Mel, I know he's dead, maybe it's a rerun of an old series then.

Have a good day, must change my watch, it's saying the 31st.

Hicky

Good evening all

Emptybox

hail in July. Hope it was a bit more settled there for you today.

Yes one of my lads can drive now, he is on OH's insurance , but it costs a fortune, Went up from ÂĢ300 to over ÂĢ700 !  OH says the longer he drives, it will gradually go down though. No we weren't affected at all by any of the strikes, in fact you wouldn't of even noticed they were on here. Were you affected at all?

Did you notice that Four Rooms was on twice again this week?

Hicky

Hope your wood sanding is going ok. Is it wood needed for your garden you are sanding?

How boring having to cut your spending to save the tax man, but I guess it is something that has to be done.

I am watching 8 out of 10 Cats now. Watched double Corrie earlier

Been looking at cars again. We liked the Galaxy, but the model was saw was too new and too high a spec, so was too expensive for us. So we just keep on looking, no rush as we have MOT on ours till next March.

Looks like good weather to come this weekend, so we hope to go for day out by seaside tommorrow.

have a good evening both xx

M
Evening.
Yes, not bad weather here today. Not especially warm, but dry, so I got what I needed to done.

Four Rooms is on a Tuesday Mollie, then it's repeated on a Sunday.

Well Murray is out at Wimbledon.
To win Wimbledon, or any of the big tournaments, he would have to be the best player in the world on the day, and I don't think he'll ever be that?
Not unless all the other top players were put out of action by a simultaneous, strange, suspicious, exploding ball incident?

No I saw no signs of any strikes around here Mollie. I think they were a bit of a damp squib?
Hope you enjoy your seaside walk tomorrow.

That's a pity that you have to temporarily curtail your spending Hicky.
B&Q will have to consider laying off staff, if it goes ontoo long?
emptybox

Evening Mollie & Emptybox.

Insurance is expensive these days Mollie.

Too many people making false claims, and too many driving with no insurance.

I've got some wood to keep me going, not quite the size but it will have to do.

I've made a set of sections for each frame, and have made a Jig to fasten the pieces into, I then screw the pieces together then unscrew them from the jig.

It keeps all pieces the uniform size and makes the frames all the same.

Thinned the Beets out, cooked 4 small ones, very nice.

Gave my neighbor from the back some beets, onions, shallots and garlic.

He's just had a meal using his new spuds and pea's.

I've got tons of pea's but they are so sweet we eat them from the pods.

Murray can only do his best, we've never had anyone as good as needed.

I still go to B&Q, with my O/H, she wanted a waste bin that fits in a kitchen cupboard, and a nice rail that we can put over the hob to hang the frying pans & Woks.

If you want a Golden Ticket for BB go here.
