Hi Mollie and Hicky.
Glad you found your garden figure Hicky.
I presume you mean metalwork chairs for your garden? Those'll look good.
Not sure I believe anything the Daily Star says, but it's good that BB is in the news anyway.
I'm thinking of planting my potatoes tomorrow if the weather's good.
It's OK Mollie. We realise that you won't be able to post much for a while.
Just try not to get too stressed. I know that's difficult when you have the likes of BT to deal with What a shower.
I was reading today how they wanted to charge a woman a ridiculous amount for putting a phone line in. ÂĢ53,000 it was, and she was only a few miles out of town as well.
Any way, I hope it's relatively relaxing at Ikea?
Has the previous tenant moved out of your new house yet?
The only treat I bought myself today was a coffee cake. I had a slice with a cup of tea when I got home.
Yes, spag bol as usual tonight.
Afternoon.
Not too bad a day here. We just had a shower of rain, but it's been mostly sunny.
I decided to take a chance and plant my potatoes. Might be a bit early? Just have to see if they come up OK.
Did you get your decking finished Hicky?
Not much on telly that I can see?
Good Evening Mollie & Emptybox.
You have been busy Mollie, thought so, a lot to do when moving.
Am pleased with the Buddha, it looks good on my Moonstone.
The Forged tables are Wrought Iron, and the chairs match.
You are supposed to buy the tables and chairs together, but they are all sold separate.
I've now got 3 tables and 4 chairs, but loads of plastic chairs.
Went to the tips with some old junk.
Went to B&Q to look at a wooden shed and a BBQ, shed ÂĢ134 & BBQ ÂĢ79 not a bad price.
But no money this week.
Ikea have got so much good cheap gear, love their stuff.
Need to go myself, we want 2 of those shoe cabinet's, only ÂĢ20 each.
Very excited about BB coming back, it's not signed yet though.
Your Coffee cake sounds good Emptybox, have you tried the Toffee cake, yummy.
Finished the decking, going to put an edging around the wall section to finish it off.
Will have to get another 250 box of deck screws, they go nowhere, altogether must have used a couple of thousand.
Going to make some stepping stones to get across the grass to the Gazebo deck are, will make them from decking wood.
I'm not planting Potatoes this year, they need too much area and a good section of ground, not too good in planting bags.
Hi Hicky.
Watching Country House rescue at the mo.
Yes, I tried Toffee Cake a couple of weeks ago. Think I like Coffee better though.
Well done on finishing the decking.
Good idea to get a new BBQ. You'll want to be in the garden as much as possible after putting in all that work.
Mollie, hope you got what you wanted from Ikea?
hI all xx
Emptybox
Coffee cake, I love that too.
Hope your potatoes come along well.
When will they be ready to eat?
Our new house is empty, it was not tenanted before us, the owner lived in it, but they moved to a smaller place now their kids left home
Hicky
Shame the money ran out, Never mind you can always plan what to spend your next weeks wage on. But it does sound like you have already spent a few weeks wages in your head already with all thes ambitious plans for your garden. All we need now is a nice summer for you to get out and enjoy it.
We did get what we wanted from Ikea, it has so much choice, it would be hard not to find what you wanted in there. Got 2 large bookshelfs, loads of hooks to put all our coats etc on, and bits and piecies for the kitchen. We took my mum too as it was Mothers day and treated her to a 99pence brekkie . No expense spared there, But she did enjoy it,
OH has taken another 2 car loads out to the new house. Plenty more to go yet though.
Bedtime I am shattered again.
Hope work is not too busy tommorrow Hicky, and hope you get dry weather for your gardens Emptybox.
I just saw our weather forecast, and they are predicting 20 degrees and sun on Thursday. Hope they are right.
Goodnight all. xx
Hi Mollie & Emptybox.
I watched Country house, it must cost so much to run a place that size, no wonder they need to open it to the public, might have to do that with my decking.
There's such a lot of stuff and choice in Ikea Mollie, thought you would find what you wanted.
I think the Brekkies are free before 10 or 11am in the week.
Will be going soon myself to get these shoe cupboard things that fix on the wall and hold 2 x 4 pair, only ÂĢ20.
Everyone takes their shoes off in the house so it would be nice to have 2 sets in the hall.
It's a Factory shutdown this week, a weeks holiday, but the canteen is open, the one I use is the Press shop one and the Press shop is working 3 shifts all week.
forgot to add a link.
Stacey and her Sister in Malawi
http://www.itv.com/london/stac...omon-in-malawi25573/
This is the Kneeling Buddha we got from Costco, the exact one, it looks great.
Afternoon.
Wet here today, so no grass cutting.
Glad you got what you wanted Mollie.
It actually must be quite fun, getting all this new stuff for a new place, but an awful lot of stress as well. Would probably have been easier if you'd been 100%, but there you go.
My potatoes are second earlies, and I think I dug them in July, last year?
That Buddha figure looks OK Hicky. I think I'd have gone for a female nude figure meself, but there you go.
Thanks for the Stacey video, Her sister is just like her.
Luckily the youngest carpet in my house is about 18 years old, so I don't have to worry about people taking their shoes off when they come in. Although I do take my muddy boots off at the back door, when I get in from work.
My Brother and Sister-in-law always take their shoes off in their modern house, but they don't ask me to take mine off, and I don't volunteer.
Perhaps that's why I don't get asked very often?
Evening Emptybox.
I saw some very nice nude ladies in Bronze, but at over ÂĢ1,000 a bit to pricey.
Stacey abd her sister are very alike, think we are going to be seeing/hearing a lot of stacey before long.
All the family seem to take their shoes off in the house, just to preserve the flooring and to keep out the grit etc that gets on your shoes outside.
Hope Mollie has had a good day.
Pity it was raining by you, don't think it was very good here either.
Evening Mollie and Hicky.
I suppose ÂĢ1000 is too pricey for a nude female bronze Hicky. Unless it was life sized?
Mixed weather here today. Very blustery with a few showers, but some sunshine as well.
I went out and did some work anyway, as it's the last day of my financial year.
I pruned some bushes and mowed my first lawn, although I used the customer's own mower to do it.
When I got home I mowed my own grass, just to test my new mower before I use it on customers.
It runs fine, but doesn't cut very low. I needed the second lowest setting for my own grass, so I'll need the lowest setting for some customers. That shouldn't matter though, as long as it does a good job.
Aisleyne seems to be having a good time on Celebrity Salon.
They seem to be being allowed to tweet, as long as they don't give too much away.
She seems to be feeling a bit sorry for Calum, being outnumbered.
There is another bloke on it, but he's otherwise persuaded seemingly.
Hope you are coping fine Mollie?
When is your actual moving date?
(you could say in the Dialog thread, if you don't want to put it on the public forum)
Evening Mollie & Emptybox.
Not too bad here today.
Made up a new decking Tub surround, it's the Tub with a Rhubarb plant in it.
Went to Burley Dam nursery, got 3 tomato plants abd had a cake and cup of tea.
Went top Sainbury's to get a pack of Sunflower seeds, they come as a 4 pack with a little plastic greenhouse and everything you need for ÂĢ3.
I got it because my little grandson wants me to grow him one.
Work tomorrow.
Hope Mollie isn't working too hard.
BB a little closer, announcement expected tomorrow.
Good evening all
Hicky
no wonder you chose the buddha over the naked woman at that price.
Glad you were able to get in your garden to do more jobs.
Thanks for the Stacy video, interesting how alike her , her sister looks.
It will be nice to see more of Stacy on tv.
Emptybox
Glad you managed to get a bit of work in , in time for the end of tax year.
that was so funny what you said about not getting invited to your brothers too often because of your shoes.
I would like a nice tiday house, but a house full of teenagers, and pets think otherwise, and I just can;t keep up with all the tidying up after them all. .I guess I will have plenty of time to tidy when they all leave home, but the place will be be feeling too quiet for me then.
That is dead exciting news about BB, thanks for posting HIcky.
Can't wait.
Had another busy day, even though I am trying not to overdo it, moving home will always be stressfull with so much to organise.
We have moved a few bits and pieces in now, but still loads to go.
We actually start the move on the 19th with the removal guy, he says he will need 2 days to move all our furniture.
Hope you are not too busy at work tommorrow HIcky.
Just seen the weather forecast and they say we are in for some warm weather. Hope they are right. I am hoping it stays dry, it is easier for us to move stuff then.
My lappy has broken now.
The clicking buttons don't click at all.
OH has set me up with this mouse thingie, but it is fiddly to use with my lappy.
OH says I will need to replace it, because it is on its way out.
Bedtime for me, I will read my Look mag for awhile, then listen to Talk Sport when they have finished talking about sport.
Goodnight both xxx
Hi Mollie.
Pity about your laptop. Perhaps it just needs the trackpad buttons cleaned out?
Your move is still quite a way off yet, but sounds like you are well on top of it.
I wish we could get rid of this wind, and get some nice dry days for me to start cutting grass.
Hi Hicky.
Great news about BB. I hope CH5 do it justice, but I have my doubts.
Good luck with the sunflower seeds.
Hi Mollie & Emptybox.
Thats a blow about your Laptop Mollie, mind you they are pretty cheap these days, a USB mouse is fine as long as you are sitting at a table or have the mouse mat at the side of you on a chair, you are best with an optical one as they work off anything.
Thats quite a way off then, the move that is, the 19th, if he needs too days he either needs a bigger van or you've collected an awful lot of stuff.
It is exciting about BB coming back, anything will do me, I'm not fussy.
It says the temperature will be 20deg here today, that's pretty warm.
As you say Emptybox, this wind is a pain.
Roll on tomorrow, should be off.
Just love watching the leaves forming on the tree's, the Fig tree's still seem pretty dormant, unlike the others, maybe they like more heat first.
Have a good day you two, catch you later.
PS
I've sown the Sunflower seeds in the little pots and mini greenhouse supplied on the window ledge in the front room, my grandson will be made up when they sprout.
Evening.
Yes Chantelle is looking good Hicky. A bit 'stately' maybe?
Was very wet overnight and this morning, but turned into a nice sunny afternoon, although still windy.
Got one of my largest lawns cut with my new mower.
TBH there wasn't as much growth as I thought there might have been. It could probably have been left for a week or two, but the householder was pleased to see me anyway.
The new mower coped well. You can feel it doesn't quite have the build quality of the old one. The grass bag is slightly smaller, so needs emptying more often, and it's slightly more awkward to carry than the last one. Also it's difficult to see what level the back wheels are set at.
But minor niggles considering it was ÂĢ200 cheaper than the last one.
As long as it lasts as long (4 seasons) then I'll be quids in.
Took me just about the same amount of time to cut the lawn as the old mower did, so that's OK.
Everything seems to have shot up in the gardens here in the last week it seems. The daffodils are fully out, and there are daisies and dandelions out on the grass. Spring has finally arrived in my part of the world.
Wasn't anything like 20 degrees here though, about 13 perhaps, but not too bad.
Waterloo Road tonight, then I think I'm going to try the new BBC drama called The Crimson and the White Petals, or something like that.
Good evening both.
Hicky
hope your sunflower seeds come on well.
Thanks for the Chantelle piccie.
Like Emptybox says, she is looking very regal there.
Emptybox
That is good that spring has arrived up there for you too.
Sounds like it will be keeping you busy for awhile now.
Fingers crossed your new mower keeps doing as required.
Took a few things over to the new house tonight, not much though because OH wanted to come home and watch the football.
Tommorrow son is going to assemble the bookcases so they are ready for us to move some of the books.
I will have to slow down, because the inside of my throat is swelling up more than it was again. It is so difficult when you are moving not to overdo it. It is reaching down to the floor that seems to aggrevate it most. So frustrating that i still can't do what I want, I guess if we hadn't been moving it wouldn't of been such a problem, but I am still glad we have decided to get away from this house in time for summer.
Hope you enjoy your day off tommorrow Hicky, and it stays dry for you.
And hope Emptybox gets fine weather to keep up with his work.
Any more news on BB Hicky?
I did hear on the radio that they are hoping to get Mylene Class to work on it. I think she would be good on it.
have a good evening both xx
Am still using the mouse.
what is the trackpad button Emptybox?
and how would I clean them out?
I don't know what sort of mouse this is Hicky, but you have to put it back into a socket to charge up when you aren't using it.
Evening Mollie & Emptybox.
Glad you mower did ok Emptybox, it should do the job anyway.
I've seen a series of pics with Chantelle in, I'll see where they are.
More pics of Chantelle here
http://www.zimbio.com/pictures...w/Chantelle+Houghton
It didn't get to 20deg here eiother, only reached 15 I think.
You doing too much again Mollie, it's not easy not too thats the problem.
Yep, it's confirmed, BB is back this Summer starting with CBB in August for 4 weeks and BB in September for 13 weeks.
http://www.nowmagazine.co.uk/c...osie-gibson-s-sad/1/
Who do you want to be the Host, Davina is out,
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv...ig-brother-host.html
Hi Mollie and Hicky.
I'd vote for Emma Willis for BB Host Hicky.
I think a 13 week run in September is a bit long? However that time of year will be better for me, cos I'll have to do less skiving off work to watch it, as it'll be in my quiet period.
You'll have to watch that you're not setting back your recovery, by doing too much Mollie.
Just let others do all the picking things up off the floor.
The trackpad buttons are what i presumed you meant by "clicking buttons"? The right and left click buttons underneath the trackpad.
I presume you've tried blowing into the gaps, and turning the laptop over and shaking. If that hasn't worked, you'd need to open the case up to get to them.
Might not be worthwhile if the laptop isn't working well in other aspects? But on the other hand, if you're getting a new one anyway, then you've nothing to lose by fiddling?
I didn't think much of 'The Crimson Petal and the White', although I do like Romola Garai and Gillian Anderson who star in it.
Just been watching The Big bang Theory on CH4. I love that.
Hi Emptybox.
I liked Emma , think she's a good presenter.
Was disappointed with the weather today, started off with drizzle but was ok this afternoon.
Sun is out now, a bit late.
Have been listing items I need to carry on with garden project.
Should get paid tonight so will be able to pick some stuff up tomorrow.
Only watched a bit of news today, not much on tonight really
Am thinking of moving one of the vines/trellis so another section can be added adjacent, think the growth will be too much for the trellis area it has at the Mo.
At least with nothing being pinned to the ground it shouldn't be too hard to do.
Cooked a piece of Belly Pork this afternoon, yummy, me and O/H had half each, didn't make anything to go with it, just had it on it's own, so tasty
Hope Mollie is having a good day and not overdoing it again..
Good evening all
Emptybox
thanks a lot for your blowing and shaking method for my lappy. It seems to of worked for it for now, Still very temperamental, and the clickers only wok on firefox, but at least I can use them again, without fiddling all the time with the mouse. It keeps highligting stuff too, so have to be careful it doesnt delete what I just typed... like it just did then..
That is good that BB fits in you work time wise this year.
I too like Emma as a presenter for BB. And at least she is real fan of the show. It used to annoy me when they had guests on BBLB who you could tell didnt even really watch the show.
Hicky
pity the weather was not good for you today.
Glad it is pay day time so you can get what you need for your garden.
Thanks for the piccies, I see stacey was on that link too.
I feel a lot better today, but I did slow down, and tried to eat a bit more often. Surgoen says I will need extra calcuim, but not used to eating much of that, with my constant dieting.
OH and son moved more stuff into house today.
Spent ages on phone yet again, sorting out insurance this time.
Am going to watch Monroe now.
have a good evening both xxx
looks like a good weather forecast for next few days , hope they are right this time.
Evening Mollie.
Glad you have slowed down a bit, not worth wearing yourself out.
A little often is the way to go, not as easy as it seems though.
It was a bit disappointing today, but didn't have the money to do much anyway.
Will go to B&Q in the morning for more gear.
Have ordered mor Salt Cod online also Dopiaza curry kits and some Coconut milk powder.
The tree's etc are sprouting shoots/leaves bit worried about the Figs, no sign of much life yet, maybe it's too cold or they could have been damaged with the heavy frost, will have to wait.
Watched Great British Menu, Masterchef, Americal Idol, will be watching Celebrity Juice.
Have a good night everyone.
Evening Mollie and Hicky.
Good weather here, but we've still got the blasted wind.
Got a couple more lawns cut for the first time. Still a long list to go.
Glad you are feeling a bit better Mollie, and I'm glad your lappy is working after a fashion.
I haven't watched Monroe. I watched that thing on BBC2 on Celtic Britain.
Hi Hicky.
Pity the weather wasn't as good with you.
I hope your fig is OK. It's probably not very tolerant of frost?
Evening Mollie & Emptybox.
It's been a glorious day here.
Got some wood and bits from B&Q, and if you sepend over ÂĢ100 at the Mo you get 20% off.
So that saved me ÂĢ25.
Went to Costco as well, got a pack of decking cleaner and decking oil 5Ltr of each for about ÂĢ24 and a 2.5ltr tin is about ÂĢ36 elsewhere.
Got some more Braising Steak for my curry's.
Am having the Salt Cod for Brekkie, yummy.
If the Fig tree's are a gonner, I will replace them with new tree's, found some fan trained fruit trees in B&Q, not too expensive either.
Hope Mollie has had a good day, most places has had lots of Sun.
It seems to have been good for Ladies day at the races.
Got more work to do in the gharden tomorrow, should be another nice day.
Have put some of the edging round the decking by the wall, more to do.
Have put the grassed decking by the French Windows, that looks nice.
Have been watching the Lambing program, just watching the ITV2 Benidorm.
Evening.
Yes, it's been a glorious day here as well. Sunny and warm
I got 4 more customers started off for the season.
I've even turned my heating off for the moment.
It'll probably get cold again before the summer, but it'll save me money while the warm weather lasts.
Sounds like you got some bargains today Hicky.
I hear Chantelle's episode of Celebrity Total Wipeout is on tomorrow. 5.30pm BBC1.
I don't usually watch that show, but I might give it a look tomorrow.
I watched Benidorm as well tonight Hicky.
What's grassed decking again? I forget?
Good afternoon all
Hope you both have the good weather too today.
How lovely the spring flowers and blossom look in the spring sunshine.
Hicky
Glad you were able to take advantage of the big B and Q discount. I heard about it on the radio , and hoped you would be able to get in there and save a bit of money. Hope the weather holds for you to carry on with all your garden plans. That is a shame if your fig trees haven't survived. We did have a very harsh winter ealier in the year though.
Emptybox
that is good news that it is warm enough for you to save some oil now. Let;s hope it stays mild with the price of oil being what it is now. And at least the dry weather has given you a good start with your customers.
Been really busy sorting stuff out for the move. Why did I keep all this stuff I don't need? Yesterday I took my friend with us to the new house, so we could move some stuff, because I cant carry much I did rest for awhile whilst we sat and chatted in the garden though. We saw 3 squirrels in the oak forest that joins our back garden, the day before sheep were in it, and last night a horse. Somone at the end of the road keeps chickens and brings the eggs round very week and sells them cheap to neighbours, so we bought some.
Right time for me to get back to doing some move sorting.....
I am getting very annoyed with my half broken lappy right now...It is a bit better since I shook it upside down, but still plays up on and off , so slows me down. OH said it won't last much longer.
It is an HP, none of us will have one of these again, me and daughter both had one, and we both have had more trouble with ours than any of the other makes the rest of the family have.
Have a good day. xx
will try and remember to look out for Chantelle in that show Emptybox. Thanks for telling us about it.
Hi Mollie.
It's nice that you were able to take time off worrying about the move to enjoy the wildlife in your new garden.
Sounds a world away from the noise and dust in your old one.
I dread to think what I would do if I moved. My Dad collected tools throughout his life, so I've got a garage and workshop filled with heavy tools that would be a nightmare to move.
Luckily they belong to me and my Brother jointly, so he would have to help sell them or move them, or just take some off my hands.
Pity about your laptop playing up, but you'll just have to get yourself a new one. New house new lappy. TBH I'm not sure what a good make would be? Perhaps Hicky could recommend one?
It's lovely and warm here, and no wind.
It's warmer outside than in, so I've got the doors open to heat up the house.
I think it's due to get colder and wetter next week though.
Just about to go into town to get my provisions, so I get back in time to watch Chantelle.
Hope you are having a good day in your garden Hicky?
I think it would be fair to call Chantelle's efforts on Total Wipeout, a bit feeble.
Evening Mollie & Emptybox.
What a glorious day, it was here anyway.
Got a lot done, need one more piece of edging strip, it's like an 'L' I can fix it down and have a side section that edges the side of the decking by the wall, of course I laft a 50mm gap from the wall.
The grassed decking Emptybox is a deck board of 28mm and one side has a groove cut through the middle of the board about 15mm from each edge, the centre has a green type of fake grass fitted throughout it's length, you'll see it when I post some pictures soon.
Didn't see Chantelle on the program, never mind.
Might be able to get some decking oil down tomorrow.
My O/H was on the old decking this afternoon, had a Parasol up and was playing on her Lappy.
Not so easy with such bright sunlight.
Just made a lovely Stir Fry, had some chicken and egg noodles, of course I add chili and onion, mushroom etc.
Thanks for the spring flower array Mollie, they look lovely.
My sunflower seeds have sprouted, my grandson will be pleased.
All the vines and fruit tree's are springing into life, still no sign from the figs.
Don't know why you bought HP Laptops Mollie, they would be the last thing I would have.
HP make printers don't they, so they can't possibly make Laptops.
(They just put a badge on it probably)
Good Evening Mollie & Emptybox.
A beautiful day here, been putting on decking oil, used the 5ltr tin, need more, did 80% of it.
The first coat soaks in so much, you are supposed to put 2 coats.
Went to my lads for a BBQ this afternoon.
Hope you both had a good day, not much on TV tonight.
Work tomorrow
Good Morning Mollie & Emptybox.
At work at the Mo.
Happy Monday, could be another nice day, but it did say rain early on.
Don't think I'll be too busy today, hope not anyway.
Have a good day, and don't do too much.
Hi Hicky.
Sounds like you got a lot done Yesterday, but glad you managed a family BBQ while the good weather lasted.
It's raining here this morning, so my grass cutting is on hold.
Much cooler as well.
I got sidetracked Yesterday because I bought myself a Freeview +HD recorder. A Digital Stream 320GB for ÂĢ180 at Currys. So I was playing about with that last night instead of going on the computer.
It seems OK. It's got all the PVR features, so I shouldn't miss out on any programmes now.
I could have got one with a bigger hard drive, but you can get about 100 hours on that one (more if SD, less if HD), so it should be enough?
Hope you're not too busy at work today Hicky?
Hope the move planning is going smoothly Mollie?
Hi Emptybox.
I knew you had posted as I was on google, just happened to search "Costco Decking Oil" and got a post of mine from here, and at the bottom was your post.
It wasn't there earlier.
If you had a bigger hard drive you would only store more programs and probably not watch them anyway.
Good evening all
Hicky
Glad you got plenty done over the weekend. hope you weren't too busy at work today.
OH took me to see the lappys today. I liked the pink one. It was a Dell one. Is Dell any good? Do you think the Dell one is likely to be better than the HP one I had? They all seemed to be around the same price.
That is good to hear that your OH has been enjoying sitting in your garden after all your hard work.
Emptybox
hope you are enjoying your new tv equipment. You are all set up for the new BB now. I missed Chantelle on Saturday, because we were sorting things at our new house. Did she look nice? What was she wearing?
Have you seen that ad for the new Saturday show with Keith Lemmon and Stacey? Should be interesting, I am looking forward to seeing Stacy doing that.
I have had a hectic weekend, I aren't carrying stuff in and out of our houses, but am helping sort stuff out. Cant believe how much stuff we have accumulated. EVerywhere is such a mess now we have started getting stuff out of cupboards.
I am going to relax now and enjoy watching the new series of Four Weddings.
Have a good evening both xxx
Evening Mollie.
Yep, I would only buy Dell, Laptop or otherwise
Message for Emptybox.
Just got a warning from Avast, file blocked from Chanelle Hayes Forum.
It was a Trojan trying to get in, but Avast blocked it.
Strange.(Relax, it was a software glitch in Avast)
O'H has a Dell 17" Laptop, it's a Red one.
Haven't seen the advert fot the new show, looking forward to seeing it, or them.
I was busy at work this afternoon, wasn't too bad in the morning.
Going to the Docs for 10am tomorrow, then Morrisons for brekkie.
Hi Mollie and Hicky.
TBH, I think laptops are much of a muchness nowadays Mollie. Dell is OK, but not what it once was, and neither is HP if it comes to that. I think you just have to get the spec you want at a reasonable price. But probably stick to a known brand.
Chantelle was wearing mud mostly on Saturday.
She came last, and got a new record low score of just 1 point.
But it was all in good fun.
The programme annoys me because they send them all the way to Argentina to play. Why??
But it's fun for all the family.
I bet you're exhausted after all your sorting out.
Enjoy your relax.
Hicky, you are probably right about the size of the harddrive.
The PVR buffs all say you need at least 500GBs for an HD PVR, but they also all say they hardly watch any live TV, and record everything for watching at their leisure.
I doubt I'll use it as much as that? And I doubt I'll keep loads of stuff on there for ages, so the one I have will be fine for me. It's possible to add an external drive if I run out of space anyway.
Good Morning Mollie & Emptybox.
Saw the Nurse, all is good, will carry on using this Inhaler.
Went to Morrisons for brekkie, yummy, enjoyed that.
Getting worried about the Fig tree's neither showing signs of life.
Don't know how long to wait before a decision is made on the next move.
Hope everything OK Mollie, take it easy now.
Evening.
A very cold, windy, blustery morning, but a bit of sun by afternoon.
Got some more grass cut anyway.
Glad you've got the thumbs up from the Nurse Hicky.
Can't really advise about your figs. Sounds like they might have died, but probably best to give them a while yet? I should think they should definitely have started to show signs of life by May anyway?
Not much on telly tonight. I'll have to see if my PVR has recorded anything interesting for me to watch.
Evening emptybox.
Chatting on the DS forum, one FM from Greece said her Figs hadn't started any growth yet as it's a bit early.
So I'll just have to wait a while yet before I make a decision.
Not a lot on TV tonight, am watching Candy cabs, for a bit.
Work tomorrow, hope it's not so busy, shouldn't be really.
Good morning alll
Hicky
hope you are not over busy at work toay. Glad the doc's appoitment went ok and that the inhaler is suiting you.
I saw a red lap top like your OH's, I fancied that one too, if I don't get a pink one.
I only need a basic lappy because I don't do much,.. only forums, and odd thing I type up on Word, sometimes listen to radio 1, or occassionaly watch a short iplayer programme.
Let's hope your figs come on later in the year, maybe they don't come on till late Spring in May?

Glad you have been able to press on with the lawns. OH managed to get ours done, but only quickly, with all our moving stuff. Really we shouldn't have to do it at all though, in the tenancy, it says the landlord is responsible for gardening. Seen no sign of a gardener in the 3 years plus we have been here though.
at you saying Chantelle was wearing mud, and got the lowest score. I didn't realise it was one of those physical type shows,so I had assumed she would be wearing something glamourous.
It has gone colder here too today, have dug out my fleece again, and put the flowery summer dress away.
Couldn't come in here yesterday, because I had borrowed OH's lappy and it doesn't store my codes to come in here, and I couldnt remember them. Back to my tempratmental lappy today, but at least it has my codes stored on it.
Not much on tv tonight because of the football, might watch C4 Vacation, vacation, then the next show telling you how to be clever with your cash.
Have a good day xx
Morning.
Just deciding whether to go out again. It's not raining yet, but there are black clouds overhead, and I've got washing on the line.
I only just noticed your post from a couple of days ago Hicky, about Avast finding a trojan. Don't know why I missed the post before?
One of the latest updates for Avast seems to have caused problems for a lot of people, and been blocking perfectly safe sites, but I think it's been fixed now in the very latest update.
Hi Mollie. It would be unusual for your landlord to be responsible for the garden, unless it was a communal garden or you were renting the house furnished? It's a bit late now for you to insist on one though?
I would try and remember your login details for here, and the other places you visit, otherwise you might be left out in the cold when you get a new laptop.
I think it's possible to transfer browser settings and favourites from one computer to another, but that would depend on your old lappy still being operational. If it had already gone phut, you would be up the swanee.
