Hi Mollie.

Rang the Docs but the appointments Clerk said they hadn't got the Xray yet, so I'll wait a bit longer.
They said that once before because they were looking in the wrong place in my profile document.
It's a very complex digital file, heaven knows how you are supposed to find anything in it.

Watched the Gadgets show, then the Naval Patrol, now recording Tool Academy and watching Hells Kitchen USA.

Bought a big box of Milk Tray for O/H and we had Fillet steak with Prawns with shell on for starter and 2 Strawberry Trifles for afters.

Think I'll call in for brekkie after the Dentist in the Morning, Dentist at 9.30.

Going to be pretty cold tonight 1deg, if it's not raining tomorrow I'll get some more frames made of decking to go around the last 2 big fruit tree tubs.
Hicky
Hi Mollie and Hicky.
Bit drizzly here today.

Glad you managed another walk today Mollie.
I don't usually listen to Radio 1. Too trendy for me. I usually stick to radio 2.

Hope the Dentist goes OK tomorrow Hicky.
Chanelle is certainly looking good on the Zoo cover.
I think there's always been a Reply button at the top as well as the bottom of the page? It's working fine for me anyway.
When you said "Gaga seems OK again now" I thought you were talking about Lady....after her journey in the egg.

Glad you remembered to treat your OH on Valentine's.

I watched the Gadget show as well, then the BBC1 sci-fi thing 'Outcasts'.

Still on the internet.
Haven't had any problem since Thursday, so fingers crossed....
emptybox
Good Morning Mollie & Emptybox.

A m,iserable wet day here, no outside work for me, unless it clears up.

Dentist was fine, just a bit of stain from drinking tea.

Bought the Zoo, Wow, 12 pages with Chanelle on, she's sure looking good, might do a 2012 Calendar, hope so.
I think she'll get a lot of work when people see her figure now, it's amazing.

Hope you can get some work done Emptybox.
Any bids on your ebay gear yet?

Hope you are OK today Mollie?

Had lovely English Brekki at Morrisons, Yummy.
Hicky
Good morning both

Hicky
hope the visit to the dentist went ok.
I bet you will enjoy your brekkie out after.
sounds like you and OH had an enjoyable valentines meal.
OH bought me some nice red roses

. I love flowers.
Although I do like choccies too, especially Milk Tray, but can only eat soft creams at the moment.  Bet you OH will enjoy the choccies.

I must admitn I prefer Chanelle's motherly piccies with her baby to that piccie.
It is showery on and off here, Hope you get some dry weather so you can do your frames today.
Hope they havent lost your X ray results. When I was in hospital they were contunually losing test results and notes, they have so many things to match to patients, and pass to GP's. The worst thing was when they took ages to take blood, and then they lost the results. That happened twice to me, my veins were in such a mess, all the blood they had to take.
I'd ring your docs again soon, and hopefuly someone else will manage to find or chase up the results. I learnt in hospital that i had to keep nagging else i got forgotten because they were so busy.

Emptybox
at you thinking Ga-Ga was Lady Ga-Ga and the egg. She certainly comes up with some unusual ideas, she does.
Gald to hear your intenet is ok now.
Sounds like it is a bit cold up there again today.
It is a bit cooler here today.

my shopping due this afternoon from Sainsburys. I like them because I get free delivery. Plus they bring it right into the kitchen for me. Dont use Asda now because they refuse to come into kitchens now, they wont come over your front door ,the fella said they arent allowed to now, because of insurance.

Hope you have a good day both. xx
M

Afternoon Mollie.

That was nice getting Red Roses, When I get flowers they are always half dead.
The Milk Tray are a bit rich, but at least it stops you having too many.

I just like Pics of Chanelle, and the Zoo has got 13 pages of her, sh'e really looking good now.
I'll ring the Docs at the end of the week, nohury, I hope.

Still not cleared up, not really raining, more a bit of drizzle but can't really get the saw machine out unless it's dry.
The jobs will keep.

Hicky
Evening.
Cold and drizzly here as well.

I popped out earlier to buy Zoo as well, just cos Chan was in it. If their sales get a boost they're more likely to have her in again.

I see your OH remembered Valentine's as well Mollie.

Doesn't sound like they are at all organized in hospitals now?
I was hearing on the radio that a damning report has just come out about the lack of care in NHS hospitals.
Think it was mainly about elderly patients? But it will likely be the same across the board.

Glad you didn't need anything at the dentist Hicky.
No bids on Ebay, but there's one person watching it, so they might bid near the end?
Unless it's one of you two, or my Brother?
emptybox
Good Morning Mollie & Emptybox.

Happy Wednesday.

It's not me watching Ebay Emptybox.
The rain stopped too late to be of any help yesterday so lost a day really.

Hope not to be too busy at work today, shouldn't be too bad mid month.

Roll on 10am brekkie.

Hope you can get out OK for a walk today Mollie?, the weather seems calm at the Mo anyway.
Hicky
Good Afternoon Mollie & Emptybox.

Not a bad day really, not too busy.
The weather seems to be lovely when I'm at work, darn it.
Will have to look at the forecast for the next 4 days.
A couple of good programs on tonight, can't remember what now.

Hope yu both have a good day?

Just been reading how good Tea & coffee are for you, didn't realise they are so benificial.
Hicky
Good evening all

Hicky
glad to hear work was not too busy today. but as you say what a shame that it was wet on your day off, and nice today. Hopefully it will be dry for your day off tommorrow, I think they are predicting some drier cooler weather to come.
Where did you read about tea and coffee being good for you?  I would be interested in reading about that.
Yes I managed to get a nice little walk out with the dog today. I am gradually walking a little faster each day. How is your breathing now when you are walking?  do you need the inhaler or are you managing ok?

Emptybox
It wasnt me following you on ebay either, wouldnt have a clue how to any way.   Fingers crossed you sell it ok anyway. Did you get some gardening done today?
yes I heard that story about the lack of care in some nhs hosptials for the elderly. Very sad.
However, have to tell you from my recent experience, it is not all bad with the nhs. When I was in hosptial, all of the staff were run off their feet, but i must admit they did on the whole care very well for me, and were so nice to me. When they found out I was in danger, they acted quickly, even though it was Christmas time. All sorts of tests and an emergency op sorted out within days of waiting only. But they did find it difficult to match up paperwork,  because of sheer volume. I noticed the elderly patients were very time consuming, but always treated with respect where I was. The food was good too. They did special veggie food for me when I wanted it, and soft food post op. I just dont know how those hosptial nurses cope with all the running around for all the long hours they do. They are understaffed. Yet most of them still managed a hug and smile for me though. They are undervalued for what they do imo. Shame the bankers are the ones in this country being fed all our tax money.

what are you watching tonight?
I am watching Louis Spence, and at the moment watching Rolf Harris painting in North Wales.

Hope you both have a good evening. xx
M
Evening.
Wet here today..

It sounds like your experience in hospital was not too bad Mollie? At least as far as the nursing went.
Must say, I thought the nurses looked after my Dad well too, so maybe these reports have been exaggerated?

Those reports about Tea being good for you were very interesting Hicky.
Must say I prefer coffee to tea, so I maybe have 1 or 2 cups of tea a day, and perhaps 2 or 3 cups of coffee?, but when I'm working I always take a flask of tea out with me.

I was watching the History of Ancient Britain, so I'll try and catch the Elephant thing on 4OD.
Watching BFGW now.
emptybox
Good afternoon all
It is a lovely sunny day here today, hope it is for you too, so HIcky can get in his garden and Emptybox can earn some pennies.
I am taking the dog a little walk soon.

Hicky
thanks for the tea/coffe link, I will look at them now. I don't drink tea, but do like a  capaccino each morning. I try to only have one a day because they are fattening though, but if coffee is good for you, it may give me an excuse to have another one each day.

Emptybox
Glad to hear the staff in hospital were good to your dad too. Maybe it depends in which area you are? Some of the staff told me the very large busy hospitals were not such friendly places to work in.
Good idea to take a flask with a warm drink in when you are out working, especially when it has been so cold.
I watched Louis Spence last night. He is bonkers.   An excellent dancer though.

have a good day. xxx
M
Hi Mollie and Hicky.

Cold here, frosty start. Then a rather misty day, but I got out for a bit anyway.
Hope you enjoyed your dog walk Mollie?

Can't remember if I said, but we are due to get a new supermarket in Kelso, and I noticed today that there are hoardings round the site, with signs saying "New Sainsbury's opening late Summer 2011", so that'll be something new.

Not sure if Hicky's link said coffee was good for you Mollie? They seemed to be all about Tea to me. But I doubt an extra cappuccino  a day would do you any harm?
You can make it with skimmed milk, and you don't use all that much chocolate, so it can't be particularly fattening?

Have to admit I can't stand that Louis Spence. I have to switch off if he comes on a programme.

Evening Mollie & Emptybox.

Not a bad day here, I've been outside all day.
Cut 32 sections of decking for the tree tub surrounds, 4 pieces per level, 4 levels high.
Each piece has 2 slots in it for the to link with the next section.
I can make the sections up without any screws.

Will start making the new decking now, need loads of wood though.

Yep, it seems that Tea And Coffee is benificial to all, just as well.

Hope you got your walk Mollie, if the weather was OK.

Watching Human {Planet, then Masterchef, saw yesterdays before, had it recorded.

That will be OK Emptybox if you get a new Sainsbury's, it will give you more choice, and some good food.

I've put another piece of Saltfish in water, will leave it for 24hrs out of the fridge but changing the water, then will put it in the fridge in water for Saturday morning.
Will order some more on line, the fish is only packed up the coast from here.

I can watch a bit of Louis Spence but not too much.
Hape the weather is good tomorrow, have to get more feed for the birds and some more end grain treatment for the wood.
I need more decking as well.

Good Evening Mollie & Emptybox.

Had a lovely brekkie at the garden center, got a big 12.5kb bag of wild bird seed for ÂĢ8.99.
Brekkie was ÂĢ4.99, birds live cheaper than us.

Got a spray that is supposed to help keep the squirrels away.
It says they don't like Chili peppers but the birds do, we'll see.

Went to B&Q, got some 3m lths of joists for the decking, will have to build the area up by making 3m x 2.4m sections, it will slope with a fall of 25mm and thats the way the deck boards will be so the water runs down them, and thats the 3m direction.

It says rain every day except Sunday, just what I need.

Hope you both had a good day.
Hicky
Good evening both

Emptybox
glad you managed to get out a little yesterday, hope it was dry there again today.
That will be really useful when you get a local Sainsburys.   I find their food of good quality. I also like their household goods and clothes.
I have my capaccino from my coffee pod machine, so don't have the choice of skimmed milk. It is delicous though, but about 100 calories I think.

Today was OH's half day, so I felt well enough to go out for coffee. I had a latte, with added vanilla syrup. Now that must of been fattening, but was delicous.   Daughter and I shared a capacino ice cream with it too.

Hicky
Sounds like you have had a busy day,I am glad you had a reasonable day weather wise so you could get outdoors. Good job you had a good breakfast to give you energy.
Whereabouts in the garden are you putting your next lot of decking?
Last night daughter and I were watching Hairy Bikers, and I thought of you because a lady  was cooking salt fish with them.   She said you have to remember not to leave the clothes out near near it, when you cook it because smells so strong when you cook it. Does yours smell strong when you cook it?

I am watching Phil Spencer now, and as usual he is painting an over rosy picture imo.
I enjoyed the double Corrie episodes tonight.

have a good evening. xx
M
Evening Mollie and Hicky.
Another dull, dreich day here.

Still intent in decking over the world I see Hicky?
We get squirrels  out the back here too. Mostly greys but the occasional red, but they never stay put long enough for me to ask them if they like chillies.

Glad you enjoyed your coffee out Mollie. A little of what you fancy can only do you good.
I'm looking forward to having the choice of a different supermarket.
How does Sainsbury's compare on price? I think Asda is usually the cheapest isn't it? But how does Sainsbury's compare to Tesco?

I'm really enjoying Phil Spencer in Oz. I'm never likely to live there, so it doesn't matter if he's making it a bit too rosy, but the sunshine and large modern houses just look sooo good.
He just seems like a thoroughly nice bloke as well.

I've got 2 people watching that Ebay item now, so hopefully at least one of them will bid tomorrow.
emptybox
Evening Mollie.

If you cook/boil fish in the kitchen with an open door you will get the smell of fish, don't think it's anything to do with saltfish, it's just re-hydrated fish with hopefully the salt taken back out by soaking it.

I'm decking out the Patio area, it's about 38sq metres and will take a lot of work, I've got some of the wood for the first section out of 4 or 5 needed, you get a discount if you buy the decking boards 20 at a time.
I see they have the hand rail material as well, the same as the handrail that was fitted on the last decking.
Will get some more done if the weather is not too bad tomorrow.

Glad you were able to get out this afternoon, handy O/H having a half day off.

Don't know what Emptybox is up to today, hope he managed to get some work done.
Hicky
Evening.

Another horrible wet day here. I'm getting a bit sick of them.

Didn't get any bids on my Ebay item so I've relisted it for a further 10 days.
I added an extra photo and a buy-it-now option to see if it would help it sell.
Unfortunately the listing wasn't free this time so it'll cost me 64p for the advert, so hope I get some takers this time, or I'll have to try freecycle.

Didn't do much today apart from going for my weekly shop.

Hope you two are getting better weather?
emptybox
Evening Emptybox.

It doesn't look like anyone wants your items.
Wasn't too bad a day, was expecting rain but it had come overnight last night.

Made my forst decking frame, it's 3m x 2.4m will position it tomorrow when my lad comes.
I built it on the big decking area to keep it all flad while I screwed it together.

Hope Mollie is OK and got out for a walk.

Watching A&D's Push the Button.
Hicky
Hi Hicky.

Well done getting all that decking done, but a good idea to wait till your lad can give you a hand before you position it.

I'm sure you know this Hicky, but for Mollie's benefit. If you watched Ant & Dec's Push the Button tonight, Melissa in the Simpsons team, the girl that won the last round for them, is Chanelle Hayes' sister (technically half sister).
Chanelle was supposed to be in the audience tonight, but unfortunately she's ill in bed with gastro-enteritis.
She'll be glad they won though, because it means she can go next week, if she's well enough.
emptybox
Evening Emptybox.

Couldn't lift the decking frame on my own it's a total of 23m of 90 x 40 wood.
He could carry it on his own but I'll give him a hand.

Chanelle was tweeting all through the program, she was very excited.
I knew she was ill, Blakely is staying with her Mum why she's I'll.
She will be going next week all being well, the feller blew that last task, lost them over ÂĢ70,000 only got 10% of the ÂĢ84,000 prize money.

Hi Emptybox.
If he had remembered the colour sequence it would have been better, what a disaster.Been in the garden this morning, just waiting for my lad to carry to carry the decking frame section into position, it's only about 30ft from the other decking over to the house. In the next section I want to make I've got a grid and a manhole to contend with, lifes never easy.White cloud overhead, rain due in the night, well 3am.Hope you and Mollie are OKLooking forward to DOI tonight,

Hi Avalon Nice to see you.

Haven't heard from Mollie for 2 days, hope she's OK, maybe she went away for the weekend, or maybe not well.Hope you OK Mollie.
Hicky
Good evening

I am back here at last.
Went out all day with the family yesterday to Bristol...(120 mile round trip)... I didn't intend to go initially, because I knew it would be a long day for me, but decided to go. I had to keep resting in the nearest coffee bar when they went round the shops, but at least I went.   I was exahusted all day today, so had a quiet rest.

Emptybox
hope you get some bids second time round for you ebay thing.

Hicky
did your lad manage to carry the decking for you? I think we will all have to come to your garden this summer to sit on that decking, because it will be so nice when it is all finished.

I saw Melissa on Ant and Dec, but didnt' realise who she was. I think it strange how they bring the winners back when they have just won a lot of money, instead of bringing someone new in for a chance of winning some money.  Yes I agree the music man was rubbish this week though.

Not a bad day here today, bit chilly and cloudy, but dry. Family took dog walk but I was tired, so just had a latte in the pub after a very short walk.

Am watching DOI now, wonder who will go?
Kerry perhaps?  I think she struggles more than the others when skaking on her own.
Andrew Stone on I see. I like him a good dance teacher, think he did well on BB.

Did you have your sphag bol last night Emptybox?
I hope it was dry up there today for you.

Hicky..did yoy have Sunday roast today?

Think I will watch South Riding tonight, after DOI.

have a good evening ...

Hi Avalon...
of course we dont mind you popping in.
Hope you are well.
Yes I am gradually improving thank you.

Yes, I have caught up with Corrie.
Enjoyed the Valentines story with Leanne and Peter, and naughty Nick.
Tracy still irriating me though.

I think Julie is great, and I like her 50's frocks she wears.

Are you enjoying the storyline?
M
Hi Mollie.

Thought you had gone somewhere yesterday, that was a long trip, plenty of chance to get some coffee anyway.
My Lad went to pick up a cot and a few things and I wouldn't see him till 6pm instead of 1am so my O/H came out and we carried it between us.

I knew it was Chanelle's Sister Melissa on the show, pity the feller blew it, an awful lot of money to lose.
Enjoying Dancing on ice.
Laura and Sam are fantastic.
It's up to the public who goes so no point in guessing, it depends whos in the bottom 2.
Hicky
Evening.

Been having internet problems again today, only came back on a little while ago.

That was brave Mollie. Going on that long trip. Not surprised you were exhausted today, but at least you're getting out and about again.

Glad you got your decking shifted Hicky, even if you had to get your OH to help you.

Wasn't too bad here today. A little damp.
I got my vehicles washed, then I went into town. Mostly window shopped, but I bought another surge protector socket, and have put the phone and router on that, to maybe protect them a bit from another power cut.
Looked around Comet, and had a play with an iPad, but didn't buy anything.

Forgot to watch DOI tonight, so I've no idea who went?
emptybox
Morning Emptybox.

Bad news about the internet problems, whats causing that then?DOI was good, as expected Kerry went home. Some very good performances from Laura, Sam, Vanilla ice and others.

Weather held off all day, very surprised and pleased, started building the next deck section but ran out of wood half way through, short of money till next Friday now.Next section has a grid and manhole in it, have sketched up what I need to do, will make a surround frame and make a removable decking cover with hand slots for lifting it up.Still have many jobs to do in the garden so I won't come to a standstill while i'm waiting for more wood.

Had water coming through the kitchen ceiling yesterday, there was a stain on the tile on the false ceiling. One of my my lads spotted it he had come to visit with his 2 girls and partner.

He took down the light fitting in case water went in it, the water was dripping from an old light fitting hole in the old original ceiling.

Had a look in the bathroom and foung a cracked cistern on the toilet, called my other lad who's the plumber type that works for BG and he came and capped the water feed to the cistern and drained it.Need a new cistern now, heaven knows how it could get cracked, noone ever needs to touch it.
Hicky
Good afternoon all

Emptybox
what a nuisance your internet is still playing up.
Do you think this could have something to do with it?
http://www.channel4.com/news/n...-due-to-solar-storms
I am going to look out for this at night, it would be great to see it.
Let's hope the new surge protector helps protect your connection now.
Those ipads look good but are so expensive, and i dont think they will be suitable for me, I have heard they are difficult to do touch typing on them.
Kerri went on DOI which is not too much of a surrpise because she was not as good as the others.
There are quite a few who are really good skaters now, and I think even though Jeff and Denise aren't two of the best skaters on there, they have improved well since they started, so that is good to see.
Hope it isn't as wet there as it si here today, else you wont be able to do your gardens.

Hicky
Glad the weather held all day for you yesterday.
hope you and your OH arent too done in after moving the decking on your own. Sounds like you will be waiting with anticipation for that pay packet so you can spend it on the garden.
Good job your lad was able to work out what was causing the leak. Hope it doesnt cost too much to replace the cistern. Are you able to buy one from from B and Q on the discount Wednesday?
Are you busy at work today? Hope you got a nice brekkie to keep you going.

My lad is practisiing in the theate all this week for their next production of "Much Ado About Nothing" (abridged) and we go and see it this Friday evening.
M
Hi Mollie.

We'll get a cistern from somewhere, it's the one with the small/large flush buttons on the top, very quick filling type.
My lad will sort it out.

Not too busy at work, had the normal brekki.

Been drawing up my next deck section that has the grid and manhole cover in it.
Was drawing the section that will be the removable piece, it will need to be double joist because of fixing the decking boards and having a 40mm ledge to rest the opening section on.

The B&Q Discount works on any day now, has done since before Christmas, it's still advertised as just Wednesday but I get 10% off anyday.

Hope y enjoy the Theatre on Friday then, exciting seeing your Lad again.

I will have to look whats on tonight, bought a TV mag Saturday, don't like not knowing, you miss too much.
Hicky
