Hi Mollie & Emptybox.
Great to hear from you Mollie.
I know you've had a rough time, hopefully it will get easier for you.
This is a link to the Dialogue thread, it's just set up between the 4 of us.

Hi Emptybox.
I got the stuff I wanted from B&Q, will make up the saw table when it gts a bit warmer to work outside.
It is the saw that damaged my finger, but I was sawing plastic not wood.
I've bought the bolts to make a quick release system for the saw machine, I will fasten bolts to the table and then be able to drop the machine over the bolts and add a washer and nut to each of the 4 fixings.
I bought some 44 mm wood so that I can cut some lengths to put on the table to make the machine and the table top the same height, makes it easier for cutting 2.4m lengths of decking etc.
Good Morning Mollie & Emptybox.
Hope you are feeling a bit better Mollie.
Hope to see you when your stronger, we can chat in the Dialue thread till your a lot better.
It doesn't seem a bad day hear, dry, little wind and not too cold.
Enjoyed DOI last night, hope you saw it Mollie, pity they had to axe 2 of them though and another 2 from the 8 next week as well.
Roll on brekki.

Morning Hicky and Mollie.
Cold and wet here today, but at least it's rain and not snow.
Dancing on ice was good. Pity Nadia Sawalha had to go, she would have been fun.
That 'Zen' detective thing was quite good on BBC1 later, though i couldn't work out why it was set in Italy?

Hicky
hope work wasnt too busy for you today.
Emptybox
glad to hear the thaw seems to of arrived.
How are you getting on with your new guitars?
Yes I saw DOI. Good show.
I think these ice dancers show such courage on the ice.
I agree Emptybox... it seems a shame that Nadia had to go so soon, I think she would of been a good contestant.
I am watching Corrie tonight, then I think Horizon looks quite intersting. They are talking about "what is 1 degree?"...Temperature wise I am guessing.
have a good evening xx

Hi Mollie.
I'm guitaring on and off. Making a lot of noise anyway. Not sure if the neighbours approve? They haven't complained yet anyway.
As I said on the other thread, I'm watching Come Dine with Me, but I'll probably watch Horizon next.
Not sure how they can make a whole programme on 1 degree?
If it's Celsius then 0 degrees is the freezing point of water, 100 degrees is the boiling point of water, and the bit inbetween is just divided by 100.
Maybe it'll be more complicated than that?

Hicky
is it a day off for you today? I expect if it is, you will still find plenty to do around the garden/house.
Emptybox
glad to hear you are enjoying your guitar, even if you are making a bit of noise. Don't worry too much about the noise. Is your house detached? If it is , I shouldnt think the neighbours will notice, and even if it isn't, as you have an older house, it should have good thick walls inbetween, if you are attached to another house.
As you suspected, Horizon did end up being a bit complicated. I felt too tired to follow it in the end, while my brain is more fuzzed than normal.
I too enjoyed CDWM though.
What was that E4 "Tool" programee like ? I thought at first it was a diy type show, but that was not the type of tool it was, was it?
It is a lovely sunny day here today.
Hope the thaw has continued up there for you Emptybox.
have a good day both. xxx

Hi Mollie.
You seem a bit brighter today.
It's not too bad a day here at the moment.
It rained all night, and that got rid of a lot of snow. The back grass is almost clear now. The front lawn is still covered in snow, because it's sheltered, but a lot of the fields are almost clear now.
Still a lot of ice and slush about though.
My house is detached with thick stone walls, so the neighbours probably can't hear me wailing on my guitar, unless they are out in their garden. Good job, or they might call the RSPCA, thinking I was strangling a cat.
The Horizon programme was quite good, mainly because the presenter was a friendly chap.
I didn't watch the 'Tool' programme.

I am hearing from my friends in Queensland that things have gone from bad to worse there. Thank goodness your lad moved from Brisbnae some time ago with work. Parts of Brisbane are now being evacuated. One of my friends, like many others, cant contact her daughter to see if she is ok, because all the phone lines are down.
Let's hope they move all out in time.
here is a news report one of my friends on the Gold Coast just sent me (she said she is ok down on the coast areas)...

My friend in Quessnland just sent me this....it is an unbeliveable youtube of how quickly this flood hit yesterday. I reckon that fella messing with his car was mad to put his life at risk just for a car!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYUpkPTcqPY
She said they are now evacuating very quickly 13 suburbs in Brisbane, and turning all the power off in the city from 7am.
yes Empbox
I must be feeling a bit brighter today, as I have been posting here. Still shaky whilst key typing though.
Good to hear nearly all the snow gone at last. I bet it is a long time since you have seen that greeness of the grass.
yes I dont think anyone can hear anything throgh those good old stone walls. they knew how to build a nice solid house in those days. This house we are in is falling to bits, and moving slightly and it is only 5 years old.

Good Afternoon Mollie & Emptybox.
Great having you back Mollie.
I had Macaroni Cheese on toast for brekki for a change, love it.
Yep my day off.
Thanks for the link and video, terrible isn't it.
The area my lad used to work in has been abandoned due to flooding, and the offices vacated.
He says it not good in Darwin and the max depth of the rivers isn't till Thursday.
Have been working in the garden this morning, my car is in the garage for a service and MOT.
Have made a saw work bench from a big garden plastic oval table, made fixings for the saw with bolts through the table to fix the saw unit down.
Have cut wood to make the level of the table area were the wood goes to bring it up to the level of the saw unit base.
Am making the Hex sections to construct the Hexagon boxes to hide the big tree tubs.
The 'Tool Academy' was good, it's 12 couples who are courting, it's very stressful for some but worth a look, on Monday nights at 10pm E4.
Glad your improving Mollie, a little time will make a big difference.

Hi Mollie and Hicky.
That's an astounding video of the floods.
The fella was just in time moving his car, wasn't he? TBH I'm surprised more didn't come out to save their vehicles, when they saw the waters rising? They seemed to have fun watching it out the window though.
You've been busy on your day off Hicky.
I thought of doing some work in my garden, but decided it was too cold yet. It's about 2 degrees here.
Hope your car get's through the service and MoT without any extra costs.
Going for a dental checkup tomorrow, then I might go and get my new mower.

Hi Mollie & Emptybox.
Couldn't post at home last night, page wouldn't display properly, Post Reply wouldn't work.
I'm sure there were more posts on here from Mollie, can't find them, strange.
I built a section of Hex decking surround but it was a lot of work, far too much to have to make about 18 of them, the slots in the wood are half right handed and the rest left handed, but my saw can only be set one way for a 15 deg angle cut from the verticle, you can set the horizontal angle if you wanted that..
Will have to make the boxes 4 sided now then I don't have to angle the cuts.
Just thought, wonder if I can just cut a square sided section out thats wider than the wood thickness that 25mm, If I say cut a gap of 30mm maybe the 2 pieces would angle themselves to 60deg which is the angle of each 2 pices in a 6 sided section.
Got to take my outside lights down now as well, will store them in one of the sheds.
Bought some rope light fixing clips from B&Q for 25p a pack, they are selling all the Christmas stock off, got 4 packs pf 24 for next year as I'll get new lights for the front gutter next winter.
Great to have you back Mollie, hope your not too uncomfortable, you can only rest and let nature take over.
Oh, and my car got through the MOT, needed a new stop lamp, didn't know it had gone, could have fitted one myself keep a set of lamps in the door well.
If you get a service then the MOT is free, that saves me ÂĢ40, but always like to have a service done, pity you can't get it on the NHS.

Hi Emptybox.
Forgot to mention your Dentists appointment, hope it's all OK, mouth MOT's casn be scary.Yep, pick up your new Mower, that will give you something to play with, hope it's as good as your last one, mind you that one had some nasty design faults really.

glad your car got through it's mot ok.
sounds like you have been as busy as ever garden wise.
Emptybox
hope the dentist visit was problem free.
and hope you got yourself a good reliable mower.
Gosh 2 degrees, still chilly there, then.
think it went to about 10 degress here today, but it is rain, rain and more rain now.
cant find much to watch on tv tonight.
have to see consultant again tommororw.

Evening Hicky and Mollie.
Good luck with the consultant tomorrow Mollie.
The day started out cold and a bit icy, but it's milder tonight. Positively balmy at 7 degrees.
The dental check-up went fine, although he says one of my fillings looks like it might need replacing in the next year or so, but I'll worry about that when the time comes.
I went and bought myself a nice lambswool jersey in a closing down sale as a reward for being a brave boy.
I saw something that made me chuckle on the drive to town. Someone had left an Xmas decoration up. It was a figure of Santa on an outside wall, clinging on to a windowsill as if he was trying to haul himself in (or make a swift exit).
I picked up my new mower, and it seems fine. It's got a 20" cut as opposed to the 21" on my previous one, but that shouldn't make any practical difference. It's got a good Honda engine which seems to run sweetly enough. The handles may be a bit flimsier than the Honda? but it's far cheaper anyway.
Couldn't really play with it because the lawn is still covered in snow, so I put it in the shed to wait for Spring.
The proof of the pudding will be in how good a job it does, and how long it lasts. I've had 3 Hondas, and they've all lasted 4 seasons before I've needed a new one, so if this one does the same then I'll be laughing.
I've still got 2 of the Hondas that are more or less working, as spares (might scrap one of them to make space?)
I'll need to buy a new strimmer at some point as well.
Glad your MoT and service went OK. I wish my garage gave away free MoTs with the service.
I've always had my van serviced up to now as it's in good condition, and I want it to stay that way for a while.
With my previous van, I didn't bother with official services, and just changed the oil etc myself, but it was getting on a bit.
Driving into town in the van, to collect the mower, I noticed that my ignition/battery light was coming on while I was driving, which is a bit worrying. It had gone out on the return journey, so might just have been indicating that the battery was a bit low?
I haven't used the van much since the middle of November, so I suppose the battery might be on the way out, or the alternator, with just sitting there for so long in the very cold weather?
I'll keep an eye on it, and if it does it again, I'll need to take it to the garage to get it checked.
I'm afraid my woodwork skills are zero Hicky, so I can't really offer any advice about your tubs.
I can't really even picture what you are doing, but there's probably an easy way of doing it, as you say?
As you say Mollie, I can't see much on TV tonight. Might have to watch a DVD?
Good luck with the consultant tomorrow Mollie.

Good Morning Mollie & ?Emptybox.
Gaga is working again, was going to move it to IE8 to try.
Glad the dentist's was ok for now.
I'm sure your new Mower will be OK, but you get what you pay for, if it's cheaper then the may be a reason for that.
Got to tax the car now, ÂĢ245 for the year, but think I'll do it for 6 months this time to move the date away from Jan, then when it runs out I'll get it for 12 months again.
If your battery light came on, it's probably a problem with the Alternator, the light is measuring the differential between the battery voltage and the Alternator output.
I'm going to have another go with the Hex/Oct sections for the tree tub frames.
I've got a better idea now how to sort it.
The temperature outside is about 12 deg, will be ok if the rain keeps off.
Hope You are feeling better Mollie, and eating better, hope it goes ok with the Consultant.

Hi Hicky and Mollie.
I got my heating oil delivered this morning, so that's one worry less.
It's been mild this morning (about 8 degrees), so I did a bit of cutting back and tidying up in the back garden, where the snow has gone.
I also freed a blocked downpipe that had filled with leaves, and was making the guttering overflow when it rained.
The drain outside the kitchen is bad as well, but that requires digging a hole down and getting the rods out, and is a big job. If it stays mild I'll have to tackle it soon, because every time I let a sink-full of water out, it overflows.
Seems to need doing every couple of years or so. The underground pipe seems to have a sharp bend which attracts a build up of fatty stuff after a while, no matter how much I avoid putting fatty stuff down it. The dishwasher is probably the main culprit.
Drain cleaner sometimes works a bit, and puts the evil moment off for a while, but it eventually always needs digging out.
It's the landlords responsibility really, but they just send a farm worker to do it, who doesn't do any better job than I can.
I started the van this morning and the ignition light is going out as it's supposed to do, so maybe it was just a glitch? I tested the battery with a multimeter, and it seems fine, so if there is a problem it's likely to be the alternator, as you say. Unfortunately that's more difficult to test as it's half buried, and the leads are covered in plastic. The belt is all enclosed as well, but seems to be squeaking as it's going round, so perhaps there's a problem with that?
Hicky, it sounds like a good idea to spread out your motoring costs over the year. Will cost a bit more for the initial 6 months though.
Hope you manage to figure out the best way to build your tubs,

Good Evening Emptybox.
Glad you heating oil came, one problem out of the way.
I have the same problem with the drains from the kitchen/shower etc, think it's going to clog up whatever you do, even the soap suds collect and any hair sticks to it then, an so on.
I found loads of leaves and that in the grid, they had cut the grid to let pipes through, think that's not a good idea, have cut the pipes off and put a 10mm mesh wire grill over the grid.
Whatever you do, don't disconnect the battery to test the Alternator, that would blow everything in the car, the battery acts as the voltage stabiliser. without it the voltage would probably rise to about 30 volts.
If a belt squeals it means it's slipping, very serious and won't last long like that, maybe a bearing is going, it needs looking at.
I've decided that due to the work involved, not counting that done by machine, but that done by hand, I couldn't cut the 6o deg angle from both directions so would have a lot to do using the handsaw.
I'm going to make square sections which means that the electric saw will do 95% of the work.
I cut 24 pieces of 80cm and a few of 65cm for the smaller pots, the 24 pieces had slots cut 2.5cm wide 7.5cm from each end and half way through it's 12cm section.
4 pieces will link together 2 right way up and 2 opposite, I won't need any screws to fasten it all together. as you will have worked out the gap between the sides measures 60cm so you get an overhang at each end for each piece of 7,5cm, with the self locking feature, 3 sections go on top of each other to cover one of the tubs, so it takes 9.6m for each tub.
Still got a lot to do yet.

Evening.
Not too bad a day here, but raining tonight.
The snow is nearly away now.
I got fed up with the kitchen drain, and tried to clear it myself, but without any success.
I dug a hole down to the pipe. There is already an opening in the pipe there, where it's been rodded before. I don't have proper rods as such, but I used a long piece of wire that has always worked in the past.
Don't know wether the blockage is at a different point, or I wasn't doing it correctly, but I pushed the wire right up the pipe, and it still wouldn't unblock.
I tried a longer bit of wire, but it was too stiff, and wouldn't go round the bends in the pipe. After a couple of hours trying I gave up, and have called the landlord. I've already dug the hole for him, so he should just need to use his proper rods to clear it. I'm waiting to hear back. In the meantime I have put a board over the hole to stop any accidents.
I'll just have to avoid using the sink too much until it is cleared. ?
This afternoon I went into town to do some banking, and to get my lottery tickets.
I haven't tried the van again, but I wouldn't say the belt on it was "squealing", just making a slight squeaking noise as it goes round. Been doing that for a few months now. Might be an indication that something is wrong? Might not?
Hicky, good luck with those tubs.
Certainly sounds like you have worked out what to do with them now.

Good Afternoon Everyone.
Not too bad here today, it's Sunny, not much wind, about 8 deg so can get some work done outside.
Making those tub covers from the decking.
Still a lot to do but will just do a bit at a time.
Might go to the garden centre this afternoon, still after a couple more fruit tree's fan trained to go against the fence trellis.
But in shady area's you can only get cooking fruit, the desert ones need plenty of Sun and this fence gets very little if any.
But for fan trained fruit tree's they are asking up to ÂĢ55.
PS.
Wrote post this afternoon, but forgot to send it.

Hi Emptybox.
The drain rods you can get from B&Q, they aren't expensive for a set.
A loos belt on an alternator or something usually squeals when you start from cold, it's caused by the engine speeding up but the belt isn't tight enough for the Alternator to follow the speed as it takes an awful lot of power to drive an alternator when the battery is calling to be charged or the demand from the vehicle is high.
Don't forget the load of the car should come from the alternator, the battery shouldn't do anything, even on tickover the alternator can supply enough power, unlike the old dynamo's, they cut out on tickover and the car then used the battery.
Went to the garden centre, got a pasty and coffee, looked at some fan trained fruit tree's.
Got some food for the birds.
have just paid the tax man what I owe in advance.
My next bill now is the car tax.

Hi Hicky.
I'll maybe look at buying some rods for future occasions, but I'll let the landlord sort it out this time.
He's supposed to be sending someone on Monday morning.
I'm still hoping there isn't a problem with the van, but it might well turn out to be the alternator or the belt. Just have to see?
Just lucky that I'm not using it much at this time of year, so I'm less likely to get stranded somewhere.
Bet you enjoyed the pasty and coffee?
Bet you didn't enjoy paying the tax man?

Hi Emptybox.
Best find out whats squealing, could be the water pump or anything, but it can cost more if you don't catch it before it goes.
I had a squeal on the escort, it was a timing belt jockey pulley that was going, I lost the car as it wrecked the engine when the bearing collapsed.
Always begrudge paying the taxman money back from the pension they give me

Thanks for the update Olly.
Hope Mollie can rest and feel a lot better soon.

Evening.
Very wet here all day. All the snow is away now, apart from a couple of small patches.
In fact it's 11 degrees at the mo. Very mild.
I see you've got a lot more decking to do Hicky? You'll remember to leave a little space uncovered, won't you?
Didn't do much today. Got a huge pile of ironing done, and had my usual spaghetti bolognese supper.
Hope Mollie is coming along OK?

Good evening all
glad to see you boys have been keeping the thread going whilst I have bene having a bit of a rest.
hope you have had a good Saturday.
Emptybox
glad the dentist wasnt too bad. at you treating yourself to a lambswool jumper for being so brave. Note how now you have your new jumper, the weather suddenly goes all mild. But I expect you wont complain about that, you have certainly had more than your fair share of cold weather there lately.
Hope you are pleaaed with your new mower.
Good idea to let the landlord sort the drain thing out now, you spent a fare bit of time trying to sort it. Hope they fix it ok for you on Monday.Fingers crossed your van isn't going to play up on your now.
Hicky
seems crazy how you have to pay the taxman back the pension you have paid into all your life.
How are those tubs coming on? They do sound like they are keeping you busy.
Did you buy any fruit trees?
Couldnt find much to watch on tv at all tonight.
But at least we have the skating to look forward to tommorrow night.
I had some mashed carrots, sprouts and colyflower cheese for tea tonight.
I have been told i need to eat a lot of calcium, good job I love cheese.

Hi Mollie.
Great to see you back.
Glad you are eating better now.
No there wasn't much on TV.
I watched Casualty, a bit of the snooker, and an old episode of Benidorm.
Be better tomorrow though.

Good to hear from you again Mollie, in the other place.
Take it easy, your body will heal in it's own time.
Stay comfortable and eat well, pity there's not an awful lot on TV.
It's very Dull here today, warmish but it has been raining, think it's stopped, might nip to B&Q, need more decking to carry on making my tub boxes.
It's easier if you have loads of wood so you can set up the saw and make a jig to get all the cuts done right, then you don't need to keep using a rule.
My Freesat programs kept breaking up last night with the weather so I plugged an indoor aerial in and autotuned the Freeview side of the TV in my Puter room, used that instead.

Afternoon.
It's been dry here today, and the snow has now completely gone.
It was raining heavily overnight though, and there is a bit of flooding about now, but the road to the village was just passable, when I went for the papers.
Went out in the van today to get my provisions.
Went in the van just to put my mind at rest that it was OK.
No problems and no lights coming on that shouldn't, so I think it'll be OK for work next week, if the weather allows.
I hope I get my kitchen drain unblocked tomorrow, because at the moment I am carrying everything through to the back kitchen to wash up, to avoid overflowing the drain.
Watching the snooker this afternoon, and have got a stew slow cooking in the oven.
Might play a bit of Wii later, and then maybe watch the Dancing on Ice?
Hicky, if you can get Freeview reception with an indoor aerial, that means you would get superb reception with your outdoor aerial, if it was set up properly.
Although I presume the outdoor one would only feed your main set, and not the one in your computer room?
Sounds like you still need your sat dish adjusting?

Hi Emptybox.
It remained miserable here so never went to B&Q for more decking, will wait till it's a bit brighter, the wood is stored outside so would most probably be wet, can cover the seats but I need quite a lot still.
Your van maybe ok then for now, see how it looks.
Hope they sort your drain out.
Couldn't be bothered watching the snooker, too slow for me on a Sunday afternoon.
The Stew sounds ok, I'm having a Fillet steak, got the Mushrooms and the Onions.
Looking forward to the DOI later.
Hope to get the Aerial & Dish sorted next month, could only get 30 channels and BBC is the Welsh service.

Just noticed the forecast for here shows Sunny for Mon/Tue/Wed with white cloud for Thur/Fri no rain, no frost.
Thats not too bad then.

Hi Hicky.
Yes, it's a similar forecast for here, except perhaps with slight frosts at night.

Hicky
pity the weather wasn't up to you going to B and Q, and that it also intereferred with your tv box. It was also wet here this afternoon, so the kids didn't bother taking the dog out. The dog doesnt like walking in the rain anyway.
Hopefully the forecasters have it right, and it will be drier in the week, so you can fit in your visit to B and Q.
Emptybox
hope they turn up nice and early to do your drains. Very inconveneient for you having to carry your washing up around like that. Glad to hear your van was ok, hopefully the weather will be ok for you to catch up a bit work wise next week.
Had a bit of an off day again,
Have been sleeping in chair for weeks, but tried going to bed last night, and despite the family sorting out many pillows, I was not comfy, I am not ready for bed yet. I still need to keep my neck straight and still, to stop pain and breathing discomfort. So will stick to recliner chair downstairs for awhile.
Glad we had Dancing on Ice to enjoy watching tonight.
At a rate of 2 a week, they do seem to chuck the couples out rather quick on this show. But at least it is an enjoyable show. It must be real hard work for the contestants.
goodnight both x

Hi Mollie.
Pity you can't get comfy in your own bed, you need a bit more time yet.
At least your at home, that's a lot better than being stuck in the hospital.
If the weather is as good as it says I'll be able to get some more wood and carry on with the garden, only got my car tax to sort now this month, but I get paid weekly so it is easier to see where I am, I had the choice of payment and after many years of monthly I was glad to get off it.
I'm paid through my own company so have to pay the corporation tax but the company accountant sorts that for me.
Hope the drain man sorts you out Emptybox, a good flush will do you good.
Meant to say Mollie, they only got rid of a few at the start of DOI because they had too many for the show.
I didn't really like it though, after spending 3 months getting ready they leave it up to the public.
They are obviously seeing who has the fans, so in the future they know they will get loads of money in from the voting, they also know who is the favorate, a very clever move on the part of the producers don't you think?.

Good morning all
Hope it is dry so Hicky can get out to B and Q, and then in the garden.
And hope Emptybox's drains get sorted.
It is nice and dry here too today.
One of my lads is doing all the washing since I have been unwell. So it doesnt go outside now. It is easier for him with such changable weather to just tumble dry it all.
Hicky....
Regarding DOI...yes a very clever money making idea of the producers to set the voting up to work like that. I think it very unfair how qucikly they chuck out contestants on popularity voting after all that hard work they have done. Compared to Strictly, it must be so time consuming and difficult for them to learn to dance on ice.
I was glad I stayed in the chair again last night. Not in so much pain as I was yesterday morning, after I had attempted bed.
Managed some porridge for brekkie.
what days are you working this week Hicky?
I wonder if Emptbybox will be able to get in his gardens this week?
have a good day. xx

It's a nice day here as well.
Glad you are feeling a bit better Mollie.
You'll just have to stay sleeping in the chair for a while, I guess.
I bet your lad is wishing your family didn't generate as much washing?
My drain is clear again now. It took quite a bit of work to get it free, and it turned out that the 2 neighbours' drains were also partially blocked, so the guy cleared all 3. They all end up going down the same pipe, so he could clear them all from the hole I had dug.
He had to guddle about with his hands down mine, to clear out the fatty deposits and the gravel that had also fallen in. Rather him than me.
I filled in the hole afterwards, so I did part of the work for them.
Hope you get what you want at B&Q Hicky, and can get on with your tubs etc.
I'll probably get some paid work done this week? Perhaps get a couple of hedges cut?
I did a bit more tidying in my own garden this morning. The snow had broken a big branch off a conifer bush, so I got that hauled away. I also also got rid of the old tomato plants out of the greenhouse. I also freed the weathervane up. I put a bit of oil on it to make it swing freely.
DoI was OK, but as you say, it's a bit harsh for 4 couples (over the 2 weeks) to have trained for all that time and not even get onto the show proper.

Good Afternoon Mollie & Emptybox.
I see DS has crashed, they hope to get the Forums back on again soon.
I'm at work today, usually work Monday and Wednesday unless a bank hol messes it up.
Am at Docs tomorrow for chest/breathing tests, not till midday though.
Glad your Lads doing the washing/drying, mind you with the machines these days it's only a matter of putting it in and then getting it out, not like it's hard work.
You'll soon be back in your bed Mollie, best not rush, healing takes it's own time, some heal faster than others though.
Glad the drain is sorted Emptybox, you'd better make sure no stones etc get down the grid, I've put a fine mesh over mine it's about 7mm and won't let anything bigger than that through, of course it won't stop the soap and I think thats what sticks to the pipe and then that collects anything that passes and it slowly closes the gap, don't think it's the fat as that soluble, but they add bubbles to everything, don't know why because that's what causes the problem in the first place.

"Due to extremely high demand" it says (DS). Wonder why they have a high demand today?
Yes Hicky, I think I'll have to put some mesh on the grill, to stop gravel getting in. I was quite surprised when he pulled out hand-fulls of it.
The drain is raised slightly from the yard, so I don't know how the gravel has leapt into it?
It's just where I park the van, so perhaps when I screech to a halt 'Boy Racer' style, some of the gravel jumps out of the way in fright?

Hi Emptybox.
Not sure whats going on with DS, still off now.
I'm going to buy new covers for the grids in the back, one id round the other square, both 6inch, they are only about ÂĢ1.50 each anyway, but will have my mesh over the top so i can remove the mesh to clean save getting the grid cover up all the time.Haven't you got a cover on the grid, you mustn't let gravel or anything get in really.

DS been back on tonight, was watching 'Hells Kitchen' USA.
Now watching 'Tool Academy', it's not too bad.
Am at the Docs at 12.00 hrs but if it's not too bad tomorrow I'll try and get to B&Q.
