Glad you got your TV OK.
Did you get to meet Miss Shiner? And what's her pad like?
After a wet start it was a lovely Spring day here.
It's the first day I could say was really spring-like.
Didn't even need a fleece.
I wasn't working, but went into town for my groceries etc.
Also did some domestic chores.
And I have listed my old CD player on ebay. Don't expect to get much for it though.
Perhaps you should sell your spare tellies Hicky?
Hope Mollie is having a good weekend.
Had an unexpecteded day out yesterday.
A friend phoned and asked me to go to Vitality show at Earls Court with her.
So we both went on very early train, and stayed all day.
Very good day out, got lots of freebies to bring home, and had so many food samples, that I didn't need to buy any lunch. had a nice Chinese back maassage for a fiver, lots of free talks, and fashion shows. Took First Classt train because fare was only ÂĢ5 more, and we got free drinks, biccies, crips.Train full of young Swanse footie fans having fun, and beer. Some lads tried to chat me and mate up, one said he like my frock. He must of been very drunk though, I was old enough to be his mum.
Hicky
that was quite a journey for you. Hope you are pleased with the tv. Emptybox has asked all the questions I am extremely keen to ask too. did you meet her? what is her place like?
Emptybox
Glad to hear Spring seems to of arrived for you too.
Good luck selling your CD, hope you get a good price.
It is a nice day here so far, which is more than could be said for yesterday in london. We got drenched in the queue waiting to go into the exhibition yesterday. Good job I had taken my little brollie though.
Hope you both have a good Sunday. Brekkie time for me.
I did meet Miss Shiner, It looked like her Mums place, there was a few people there, not sure is siblings or friends.
She looked exactly as I expected, very pretty really, the TV/Stand had to be brought down stairs.
Didn't really see in the house, it was raining and we had wet shoes so we just picked the gear up.
It's a lovely day here, Sun pretty hot for a change.
Not sure what I'm doing today.
Hicky....
It is a lovely day here today too. Let's hope it stay like it for all of us. If it does, we plan to go a walk on the seafront with the dog when we take son to drama.
You met her!! Go on, I am dying to know..., what did she say? What was she wearing? I am not surprised you said she was pretty.
Time to put a bit more washing out, just been to Tescos for a few groceries. Got some French stick, brie and grapes for teatime. Feeling tired after my long day yesterday, so thought we'd have that instead of Sunday dinner.
Yes I agree, Davina did so well. The cold at night must of been extreme. Hope she had her thermals on.
Bex was standing on the stairs, think her Mum was at the top, there was others there, not sure who they were really so didn't get time to chat, Bex and a lad brought the stand down, darn heavy, I could hardly lift one end.she had a tight top on, I think it had words on it but to read it would have meant staring at a rather large chest.
My lad put the stuff in the back, we wrapped it up packed it with pillows I had taken and lashed it down with elasticated cords with hooks on.
One of my Lads is here with his gang, I went to Sainbury's for Salad stuff and bread etc to make sandwiches for a snack.
They are over in the park playing football and going on the swings etc.
The girl draws in sand freehand and it incredible.

That video was very impressive Hicky. The girl's obviously talented.
Had to laugh at you resisting the temptation to read Rebecca's T-shirt.
I see from Twitter that she might have under-estimated the size or her new telly, or over-estimated the size of her room, or both.
Mollie, how nice to have an unexpected expedition yesterday.
Never heard of the Vitality show, but I get the gist from your description.
Bet you enjoyed getting chatted up by the young footie fans.
Not quite as nice here today. A bit cloudier, but still quite mild.
I potted up 15 of the tomato plants that I had in the propagator. I'll leave the others in the tray for the time being, in case I have any fatalities. I've still got them on the window sill. Think it's a bit too cold at night to put them in the greenhouse yet?
Hope you enjoyed your sea-side walk Mollie.
I see there are another couple of sport relief programmes on tonight.
The Blue Peter girl paddling the Amazon, in a bit on BBC2, And Eddie Izzard's marathons later on BBC1.
Think I'll watch those.
Pretty grim this morning, cloudy and miserable.
They are saying a bumper Summer, July August & September anyway.
It doesn't come from the Met office, they couldn't forecast what it was like yesterday without getting it wrong.
Can't see why Bex is saying her new TV's tooo big, I've got a 50" in a normal sized roome and it's fine.
I'll have to find out, I did ask her.
Good Luck with your Tomato plants, be interesting to see how they do, not sure what I'm doing this year, haven't made my mind up yet.
CORONATION STREET: TYRONE A WASHOUT
CORRIE never fails to put a smile on my face. In the past week alone itâs given us several fantastic, heartwarming moments.
Peter Barlowâs missing lad Simon turning up safe and sound. Loveable Tyrone getting his beloved Molly back.
Whispering irritant Gail McIntyre getting charged with a murder she didnât commit, tee hee, and dragged to the cells.
Of course, Tyrone has yet to twig that Mollyâs pregnancy isnât his own work. For now, heâs just chuffed to have her back â and to be able to pamper her.
As she headed off to soak in a nice hot bath the other night, he kindly pointed out: âThereâll be some smellies upstairs.â
What a gent, eh? Warning her heâs let out the spare room to students.
Production company weaves horror film into Corrie plot
A Manchester production company with a limited budget has found a novel way to promote its debut film - by making it central to a Coronation Street storyline.
Splintered, a horror film from independent outfit Not A Number, is due to make an appearance in the soap's two episodes on Friday.
It will feature in the storyline about the strained relationship between Corrie characters Sian and Sophie.
The Corrie plot sees the teens arrange a double date with their boyfriends Ryan and Lee where they huddle around the TV to watch the horror film. But the atmosphere soon threatens to boil over as they watch the chilling action unfold on screen.
Splintered producer Rachel Richardson-Jones said: "It's undoubtedly tough to compete in the UK film industry. You have to make the most of every potential plug, so we jumped at the chance to showcase Splintered on the soap.
"Corrie knew about our annual horror film festival Grimmfest and asked if we might have a suitable movie to show clips from. They didn't know weâd just completed our own. It seemed a perfect tie in for us â and a great way to give horror film fans a sneak peak."
Splintered is due for release in UK cinemas in July. It follows the story of Sophie, a troubled teen fleeing the clutches of a wild beast. Sophieâs nightmare continues when she awakes to find herself imprisoned by a mysterious and psychotic captor.

Coronation Street superbitch Tracy Barlow is to concoct a false story in order to frame innocent Gail McIntyre for murder, it has been reported.
The twisted character, played by 32-year-old Kate Ford, will tell police that Gail (Helen Worth) caused the death of husband Joe by battering him with a rolling pin before hiding the 'weapon', according to The Sun.
It is thought that jailed Tracy comes up with the lie after Gail tells her that she hid a rolling pin on top of a bedroom wardrobe in order to stop poor cook Joe from baking potato pie.
In later scenes, police are expected to find the kitchen instrument exactly where Gail left it at the lakeside holiday cottage she shared with Joe before his death - making Tracy's tale appear true and the case against Gail grow stronger.
A Weatherfield source said: "Gail is terrified. She has to find a way to prove Tracy is lying."
As previously revealed, Tracy ends up sharing a prison cell with Gail after police enlist her to extract a confession from her former neighbour in return for an early release.
Despite detectives' suspicions, Joe's passing was an accident which took place after he made a bungled attempt to fake his own death while on his Lake District trip with Gail.
They said we were in for a "barbeque summer" last year Hicky, and look how that turned out.
Who's saying it this time?
Sunshine and showers today.
Had a very heavy hail shower just after 4pm.
I don't really know what I'm doing with these tomatoes.
My Dad grew them every year, but I never really took much notice of the exact technique.
Just going by what it says on the back of the packet.
The Met got most of the forecasts wrong, but these got them all right.
Select what you want to look at on the top boxes.

Just been watching the first two episodes of the new series of Flash Forward.
Every bit as good as the last series.
had a busy day today, OH had to go into town today, to take some paperwork in connection with a contract he is hoping for, so we went with him. I got a read and black striped cardy, and daughter said it was Dennis the Menace's. But she said it did look nice, so I got it. And got the kids some clothes they needed from Primark, Good store that is for value.
Hicky
thanks for all that Corrie news. so interesting, those story lines on there are really hotting up now as the 50th anniversary of the show looms. The girl and sand story also very interesting. Time will tell about the hot summer, but I guess they will eventually be right if they say it enough. Not surprised the met office gave up on their long forecasts, they were such rubbish.
Emptybox
lets hope your tomato plants do well now. Yes I think it is still a bit too cold at night for them.
bed for me now, goodnight all
Wasn't too busy at work.
If you get an opportunity to get any clothes take it.
Hoping the weather will be better this year, although the forecast says Jul, Aug, Sep.
Still making my mind up what to plant this year, I'll wait till it warms up a bit yet though, end of may probably, but I get the plants from the garden centre, it cuts out the early stages of growth.
I'm off tomorrow anyway.
Had Chops with new pots and Pea's/Sweetcorn with gravy, yummy.
Went to Birkenhead for some more M&S crab for O/H, got some Sushi and prawn cocktail and Lemon Delight and Jelly's, some apples.
Then got 4 fillets of Salt-fish, some smoked dyed and un-dyed fish.
Did some tidying up and cutting back, gardening work this afternoon.
It was dry but cloudy. And it seems to be colder again, after a mild weekend.
Going to prepare my supper now. Chicken stirfry, I think.
The best food ever, shellfish is my fave food.
It just happens to be expensive as well.
Just had a few Crab sandwiches and a piece of smoked cod loin
O/H has gone to the Gym with one of my Lads and his Partner, they went Sunday as well.
It's been raining a little. working tomorrow anyway.
Just watching the Fishing for Crab program recording I have.
Can't get the big crab legs till the 30th, can't wait, so have had to buy the fresh leg crab meat from M&S for now.
Can't get the big crab legs till the 30th, can't wait, so have had to buy the fresh leg crab meat from M&S for now.
Just going to bed.
Temperature outside tonight 8 deg here.
Nighty Night.
Can't help loving seafood, Lived on the coast all my life and all my O/H's family are fishermen so have had fresh food from the sea for many many years, but they don't get crabs.
Hicky
Glad you got all your seafood sorted.
Didn't know your OH did the gym. What does she do in there? Bikes and stuff? Don't think I could do stuff in the gym. My OH sometimes goes in the gym, but I just go swimming. Today we took doggie a walk along the seacliffs, lucky we went in the morning because it poured all afternoon. There were lots of really small lambs with their mothers. The smallest ones were in the farmhouse gardens. A lot milder here too today temperature wise, but the wind was cold.
emptybox
Hope you enjoyed your stirfy tonight.
Sounds like you still need your hat for your outdoors work.
I needed my hat walking on the seafront early this morning.
Goodnight all
Hi Mollie.
Not sure what O/H does in the Gym, I'll ask my Lad, he'll know.
I think my lad and his partner want to tone up for the Holiday and they are getting Married in August.
It's warmish but wet, can't complain though.
Going for brekkie in 15 mins.
Followed by 4 rounds of bread with Crab, O/H had been to get more from M&S today.
Then a piece of Sirloin steak followed by a couple of Fruit jellies.
It's a hard life bu some ones got to do it.
I just had a casserole. Very ordinary.
Showery today.
Been watching the programme about John Lewis, about them opening the big Cardiff shop.
Are you a customer in that, mollie?
Don't think there was anything interesting in the budget?
Watched MasterChef, Ramsay's kitchen nightmares etc.
Off until Monday now anyway, can't be bad.
silly me got interrupted yesterday and forgot to post my post again.
Hicky
sounds like you have really been enjoying your seafood and fish. I really like M and S food too. Hope you enjoy your few days off. I bet your lad and his partner are busy with preparations ready for the wedding in the summer.
Emptybox
Casserole might be ordinary, but nice on a cool day. (which we are still having this time of year). I too have been watching Johm Lewis. I have been in that new store in Cardiff, but only once, because no, I am not an actual customer. It is a lovely store, and nice to walk round, but me and my family just couldn't believe the prices of the clothes we saw. A couple of hundred for an ordinary frock, and ÂĢ25 for a man't T shirt, that I could get for ÂĢ4 in Primark or Peacocks. So I will just stick to looking in John Lewis.
I was wondering if they have, as yet, selected the BB contestants for the summer? I hope they are interesting, as they are the last lot for the last BB.
have a good day all. xx
It's all go, nice to have some time off, have to sort free Anti virus software out for MIL, got to get my stuff from the Chemist and sort something for tea.
Not sure about BB, they are probably testing them as we speak, they advertised as soon as CBB finished didn't they?
I've got to work tomorrow now, boss rang this afternoon.
Not to worry, but had to eat the fish I was going to save for brekkie.
O/H has been to the Gym tonight, think she's just doing Monday to Thursday anyway.
Louie Spence is on with Fearne & Holly at 10.00, must see that, Celeb Juice.
Horrible wet, misty, cold day today.
Didn't get any work done, but went into town for my groceries etc.
Had a bacon and mushroom omelette, with chips and salad.
Hope you got your MiL's anti-virus sorted at last, Hicky?
Mollie, John Lewis certainly seem to be on the high side with their prices.
I think they are popular for tellys because they give 5 year guarantees across the board. The nearest one to me is in Edinburgh, which is a bit too far to go to shop.
They are supposedly going to build (or rebuild) a rail link from the Borders to Edinburgh. Then I might go more often, because the main thing that puts me off is the thought of trailing round trying to park the car.
If I could park at the rail terminal, and go by train, that would be much more convenient.
But that's years away yet.
Watching the programme on the fall of Toyota (BBC2).
ETA: Oh hi Hicky.
What a pity that your long weekend has been scuppered.
I think I'll watch Celebrity Juice as well.
No idea who Louie Spence might be? But Ash might possibly be guesting later in the series, so I'll have to get into the habit of watching it.
ETAEM: I've just googled Louie Spence. Surely that's the 'bloke' that was on last week?
Was he not the bloke who stuck his head through the board thing last week?
Or am I thinking of somebody else?
Sorted MIL's Antivirus out, put the Microsoft Security Essentials on and took Avast off,
Your right, Louie Spence was on Celeb Juice last week and he's on that Pineapple Dance Studio, but he's way ott.
Pity I have to work tomorrow, but at least I get paid for it.
Running a little late, must have forgot to put the alarm on last night.
Woke up at 6.20 to see whart the time was.
Still got to work three quarters of an hour early though.
Just going for brekkie, what a life eh.
My biggest is 8GB, but I think they go up to 32GB.
Raining today.
I've been putting more of my music onto the PC.
I've still got loads of CDs that I've never got round to ripping yet, not to mention vinyl and cassette.
Also been trying to learn a few riffs on the guitar.
Both my nephews have got themselves electric guitars, and I can't let them beat their old uncle.
Specially as I've had my electric guitar for about 34 years, and never learnt how to play it properly.
sounds like they can't do without you at work Hicky.
Hope you can get a bit of a rest this weekend.
at your running late, that means getting you in three quarters an hour early. Wonder what time you arrive, when you are not running late? Glad you sorted the MIL antivirus out ok.
Emptybox...
that will be handy if they do do that train for you to get to the city. I had forgotten than John Lewis do that extended warranty on stuff.
I love that Pineapply Dance programme. I like the dancing on it, but most of all Louis Spence is just so funny. As you say, so OTT, but a very talented dancer.
It was my birthday yesterday, and what a great day I had. Took my mum for coffee and cake in a country hotel in the morning, then we went out to the Harvester for dinner. And whilst we were there, OH got an email with a new work contract for 6 months. At last. But the best thing is that he will be able to come home after work because it isnt too far from home. Paying out all that money on the training courses paid off.
34 years....You have certainly been taking your time there.
My OH has got one, but only did a little with his, then gave up. Daughter has been learning it recently though.
Happy Birthday for Yesterday, wish I knew it was your Birthday yesterday, it's a bit late now.
I usually get to work at 6.15 don't start till 8am.
Glad you had a good day, and extra good news with your O/H getting a contract as well.
