Good Morning Everyone & Boldjohn.

Admire all those Athletes competing, they sure have skill and guts, I couldn't do that anyway.
Far too dangerous for me.

It seems a nice day today here, it was frosty overnight though.

Just going to put some saltfish on the stove to gently boil for brekkie.

Loved the Live Eastenders last night, and the aftermath program with Geoorge Lamb.
Hicky
The Sky engineer came at just after 12 as his earlier call hadn't given him an address and the phone wasn't being answered so he came here, he thinks the 60 ft high trees over the road are stopping the signal, he adjusted the dish position a bit and the signal quality is a lot better, will see how it goes, he said I might need a high dish on the roof but there's another tree that might effect things, most of these tree haven't had the tops of the trees cut, for some reason the council are only taking branches off the sides and leaving the top.

Went to see my SIL with the knee op this afternoon with the gang, then went to the Hungry Horse for a meal, have got 3 little ones here for the night tonight.
Hicky
Good evening all
Just realised on reading back, that I forgot to post yesterday. Or maybe I did type a post, then forgot to post it, because I remembered reading your stuff you posted, so I must of done.

Hicky
Glad to hear you got those safety specs sorted alright, I too didn't realise they were expensive, I thought they were just those plastic glasses you get from B and Q, for when you are doing the plastering or stuff.   I am not surprised you enjoyed the curry so much when you had chips with it. They do seem to go well together. I remember in my younger days having curry sauce  and chips on the way home from nightclubs and pubs.   I'd put a ton of weight on now, if I drank wine and ate curry and chips like I used to.  I bet your lad was glad to see you with the left over curry Hicky.
Did you enjoy your saltfish?
Yes I too agree, the forecasters are indeed rubbish. All we get thrown at us is that garbage "global warming", so they can tax us a bit more.
Did your Sky man fix you up?
Nuisance that you have modem problems, we too had modem problems for a long time, but are happy with the DrayTek one we have now.

Emptybox
Snow again?  How nice. We can see snow on the hills, but down here in town near the coast, we have nothing as usual.   Glad some of your delivery came, hope the rest arrives soon. And hope you sort your adaptor problems out. My daughter has problems with her adaptor, but it is because the pet rabbit sneaked upstairs, and nibbled her laptop cables, under her bed.  OH has ordered a new one, so hopes it comes soon because daughter has to finish her English essay on it.

 Boldjohn
Glad to hear you are still enjoying watching the olympics.

Son's perfermance and the whole play went really well last night. He enjoyed it, and said he did slip up over a line, but we didn't notice.  It is amazing how much work and rehearsals go into these amateur productions.

Been shopping today, had brekie at Asda, and been a walk with dog to my mothers. OH is in London on a course next week.  After much thought, he decided it was worth spending out to get this extra qualification to help get a job, because there is so many after each job out there. We just hope it pays off in the long run, because it is not cheap having to pay for the course and accommodation in London.

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend.
M
Hicky
we posted same time.
60 foot trees!! That is some trees. What a nuisance they are affecting your signal.   How is your SIL after her op now?  Has it improved her mobility a lot? Did just you and OH go to the Hungry Horse? what did you have?  I had my fave Brie, redcurrant jelly, mayo on French bread for tea tonight. I bet it won't be quiet in your house tonight with the 3 littlies staying over.   Hope they enjoy themselves.
M
Hi Mollie & Darloboy.

We so often post at the same time Mollie, strange that.

The safety glasses are the spec of my normal specs, varifocus type, but it's extra to get them as safety and they have larger frames as well.

We took my Lad and the 3 little ones for the meal as well, I had a 10oz Sirloin and chips with onion rings and chips with Tomato and pea's.

Hi Darloboy.
Hope your enjoying your break.
Eastenders was very good, so hard to pull off live in such a short space of time.
Where does Stacey go from here now, or do you think maybe she didn't do it, or maybe it was self defence, we don't really know, there's usually a catch somewhere.

It's definetly Stacey and it won't come out till end of March as Eastenders films ahead so we get to see the already recorded episodes. The fact Stacey has Bipolar will also help her get away with it as Eastenders have no plans in letting their best actress Lacey Turner go and would only do so if she quit herself.

Pancakes are so yummy especially with sugar, I had coco pops for breakfast.
darloboy (Play The Game!)
Evening all.

I was visiting my brother yesterday, and stayed overnight, travelled back this afternoon.
We had a meal of haggis neeps and tatties last night.
The snow has mostly gone, but it's been very frosty.

Glad your son's performance went well Mollie.
And I hope your OH get's on well with his course.

I'm surprised you hadn't noticed those trees before Hicky? They must have kinda snuck up on you?

Eastenders was good on Friday, but I don't believe the cast didn't know who the killer was.
They have already filmed the subsequent episodes, as they work quite a few weeks in advance, so unless nobody mentions the murder, or Stacey is mysteriously absent for the next few weeks, then they must have known.

I think this probably means that Lacey Turner is leaving the cast shortly darlo, unfortunately.

Good Morning Everyone.

Lovely and icy this morning, had to defrosticate the screen again.
Roll on Summer.
Just reading the papers and tweets on the Puter, had a cup of tea, have another when someone else turns up in the office.

I had half a Duck for tea last night, I cooked it then cut it in half and ate it with a sharp knife and a fork, didn't bother having anything with it, just the Duck, don't like to spoil it with trimmings.

Bought some more of that frying steak from the corner shop yesterday, it was lovely thin sliced and fried and put into the curry.

The Sky has been ok but haven't really had any rain to test it yet.

Enjoyed the DOI last night, didn't see the second show, recorded that so I could watch the Bafters.

Good morning all
Quite a nice morning here so far, no frost, but feels a bit chilly. Have hung my washing out.
Saw OH off at 5.30am today, for his taxi to station. I just hope this course is worth the money in his quest for a job, and I hope the flat I found him to stay in is ok. The cost of London hotels/flat is so expensive compared to other places in the country. I went for a flat so he could cook for himself, and it was about same price as a hotel room.

Hicky...
hope they don't overwork you today. I bet the kiddies enjoyed their stay, especially as they got to go to Hungry Horse, and you treated them to pancakes too.
Me and you would be ok sharing a meal, because with a meal of duck and trimmings, you could eat the duck with no trimmings, and I would be happy to eat the trimmings with no duck.

Hope you enjoyed your visit to your brothers. Sounds like you too enjoy your haggis. What is neeps?

I have to do the vat stuff today, and son needs help with his binary, hexadecimal, oxidecimal stuff ready for a college test this week. OH did some explaining for him yesterday, but   hope I can remember how to help with  the rest of it, because his college notes they gave him aren't very good, at explaining it.

Summer won't be long now Hicky, because I could feel the sun was getting a lot warmer yesterday, when I sat out in the garden with no coat yesterday. I certainly won't be sitting out in the summer heat though.

Darolboy
hope you enjoyed your break from college.
M
Good Morning Mollie.

As you say, hope the course is worth it, but you can only try.
London is a dear place to live all right.

The Kids had a fine time, they know i'll spoil them anyway.

I enjoy all the Binary and Hex & Octal stuff, that's what I mainly worked in, it takes a bit of getting used to, but if you remember decimal is to the power of 10 & Hex is to 16 and Octal is to the power of 8.
A Byte is 8 bits, 0-7, and a bit is 1 bit of Binary, and Binary bits go up by doubling each time, so its 1,2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256,512 & 1024, 2048, 4096, etc.

I was so pleased this morning, had a reply to one of my Tweets to someone that I am a fan of, couldn't believe it, I had sent a link about the Cheryl Cole thing where she has ditched him by text, and got a reply back from this person, been a fan for years since she was in BB.
That's made my day now
.
Hicky
Hi Hicky. I can see why she thought it sounded familiar.

Hi Mollie. "neeps" is literally short for turnips, but it's what you call swede.
Hope your OH likes the flat. How clever of you to find it. On the internet, I presume?

We had a bit more snow overnight, and it was frosty again. Also we had fog this morning, but it's brighter now.

My FM Tuner came with the post today. I'm still waiting on the speakers, but I tested it on another system to make sure it was working.

Oh good, you know about these numbers, so it looks like I know who to ask if we can't work out son's IT maths coursework when we do it later.

Glad to hear you are enjoying your tweeting thing.

I am taking the dog a walk now, because I am sick of the vat paperwork and still haven't finished it because OH has forgotten to give me some of the paperwork. At least it is a nice day for walking today.

Is it a quiet day at work today Hicky?
M
Hi Mollie.

If you need some of the numers for the decimal/binary /Hex/Octal call up the Calculator on the Puter, it's in the accessories folder and if you click on 'view' button on the top of the Calculator it says 'Scientific' and it has all the dec/bin/hex/oct you've ever dreamed of, and you can put a decimal number in and then click hex and it converts it, it's great fun and a normal calculator only usually goes to about 10 bits of binary, but the windows one goes to 64 bits which is amazing.
That's 4 words, as a word is 16 bits, and is 2 bytes which are 8 each.

Tweet Tweet.

Not too busy now, had some work earlier.

Hello Mollie, I have thanks it's been fun and i'm back tomorrow.

I love football but admit the players are paid too much, some of them seem to think they can do what they want and get away with it plus some also have big egos.. a shame really and need knocking down a peg or two.

Jedward have been hacking Stacey, Olly, Danyl and Jamie's Twitter accounts. Stacey and Olly had pictures took with follow Planet Jedward on which is on the Twins profile.

I seen a brilliant video of Danyl singing on tour, reminded me how much I liked him.

Last we'll see of Bradley Branning tonight on EE, Stacey disappears for a while...

thanks for the hints on the maths, haven't had chance to look at it today, but will have a go at that tommorrow.
Glad to hear they haven't been overworking you.

That type of mash sounds very tasty.
I did book OH's flat on the internet. He has got there now, and is well pleased with it because it is bigger than a hotel room and it has a fully equiped kitchen.

My washing had dried well today.

Darloboy
Hope college is going ok after your week off.
Glad to hear you too have discovered Coach Trip. I have watched several series of it now, think it is great.  I like ....the way you see different parts of Europe, the great tour guide, and I like how you get to see who plays the game during the voting off process.   I am glad it goes on for 10 weeks this series.

Evening guys.
More snow overnight for me.
However it's mostly gone again.
That seems to be the pattern lately, but I don't think the forecast for tomorrow is very good at all.

At least you had some veggies with your meat this time Hicky.
I had tuna with baked potato and baby sweetcorn. made a nice change. Followed it with strawberry cheesecake.

Good morning all
It's a nice day here too today Hicky. Feels a lot milder, and the sun is out.
Hope you are not too bogged down at work today, and can manage to fit in your forum stuff.

I had a  chaous day yesterday. Realised it was a short month so had to get the vat done quick, and in the post to the accountant yesterday. Had loads to photocopy before I posted it, so gave son photocopying to do. Damn machine kept getting jammed, so he had to take it apart. Eventually he found a cotton wool bud stuck in it.    So, by the time he had fixed it, I just got to the post office with munutes to spare. Then in the evening son and I had to do the college run. And have to start helping son with maths today too, which OH normally does. Guess I have to get used to being busy, with OH being away, because I reckon he won't get work round here in this recession.

I am having a Sainsburys delivery today. If you spend over ÂĢ100, they deliver free, and with 5 of us and my mums shop too, we easily spend over ÂĢ100. Daughter had asked me to order lots of baking stuff, so looks like we are in for a few treats.   She made a lovely toffee and sultana cake yesterday. She loves cooking, but although I have given them cooking lessons, my lads would still rather exist on toast and cereal than cook it themselves.

Emptybox
I love tuna, sweetcorn and jacket potato.   Can't believe it is still snowy up there. Maybe this means you will get a long hot summer?

OH tells me he walked round Covent garden last night because he is staying not far from there. Very nice he said. But he said the traffic reports he has heard, are a nightmare in London area at rush hour.

Off to tidy up and peg washing out.
Have a good day all.
M
Good Morning Mollie.

It's not too bad here work wise, one boss is on night's so won't be in till lunch time, will have to do the invoice remittance sheets then.
I only sort the vat out here at the end of the quarter and then start again so it's not too bad, I just do the incoming vat totals.

It sounds like you could be getting some lovely cakes and things anyway, the ingredients are fairly cheap really anyway.

I messed the Roasties up last night, turned the heat up to 200 and then didn't look at them for an hour, they were in the goose grease and were very brown when I looked at them, had been on the web and forgot about them, they were ok, I loved the rather thick dark crusty outside, but hey had soaked up rther a lot of the fat.

And I'd cut them small so they would cook fast.
Hicky
Midday.

Light snow/sleet here, mixed in with rain. Very wet.
Some parts of the Borders have had heavy snow affecting the roads, according to the local radio, but seems to have missed us.
Still not nice though.

Glad your OH is managing to get in some enjoyable stuff while he is in London.
Must be handy having a daughter who bakes.
I see you had to get stuck into the technical stuff Yesterday, with your intransigent photcopier.

Hi Hicky.
Did you get too caught up in your twittering last night to remember your roasts?
emptybox
Hi Emptybox.

I did get caught up with the tweeting, if I leave it too long I have dozens of tweets to get through next time I look, it's taking over my life.

Had a reply from the Lovely Sophie this morning OMG, you must remember her, she stood out on BB so to speak, think she's going with Dane at the Mo, he was chatting the other night to her anyway.
Hicky
Hicky
Glad to hear it is not too bad there workwise.
Shame about your roasts though. Sounds like your tweeting could end up being quite distracting.

Emptybox
Glad to hear you aren't snowed in, I did see on the weather that some areas in the far north are due for a lot of snow.
Very nice here when we took dog a walk but clouding over now.
M
Hi Mollie.

It's good fun though, getting so many replys lately I'm trying to remember who they all are.I've counted 7 Celebs so far, but sure I have forgotten a few.

Was tweeting with Jeff Brazier earlier, he was saying he is broken down on a train as he's trying to get back to Cardiff for the show tonight.

He said he's been picking, with others of course, the 4 people for the Mum of the year.
Hicky
Hi everyone,
I hope you're all well.  Hicky. Sorry to confuse you.  I notice in one of you posts that you say "Son said their performance went well", so maybe it wasn't your son who was doing the performing.  I was just curious (nosey) about the performance.  Yes it is me who followed Hicky and I'm pleased that it's you.  Mind you, I doubt if you'll enjoy talking to me as much as chatting to Chanelle Hayes.
